Reviewing my last review. I’m glad I returned to SJNYC. They have a wonderful and extensive wine list which if they have a bottle open will let you taste and give you a thorough description on the wines which is nice. The place is bustling and always quite busy which is why I had to try it out so I would suggest making a reservation if you can although they do accept walk-ins.I had the BLT on baguette bread which was a fabulous twist on a classic sandwich. Great coffee too.The bar area does get cosy when it’s busy and can be a little tricky to eat so do mind that when coming if busy but amazing opportunity to have a drink and chat with other solo diners as I did.I’ll be back again during my next trip. For breakfast and dinner and will certain put on my list of recommendations when visiting NYC. It looks like it’s a great spot for people watching if you’re lucky enough to sit outside/by the window.*Try their orange wineThank you

Excellent wine recommendation by the staff. If you are not sure which wine would suit your taste or match with your food - trust the people working there! Very lively atmosphere and tasty food too.

  • Review 3 (2024-08-25 - Rating: 5)

Very friendly and welcoming place where I discovered a scotch I had never heard of before and that turned out delicious yet affordable. This single malt guy is now interested in blends! Also the sourdough bread and butter is fabulous! We sat at the bar and no one chased us away. That’s hospitality and quite rare in NYC.

  • Review 4 (2024-08-22 - Rating: 5)

This place is absolutely fantastic! The food, was so good . The staffs friendliness really adds to the overall experience of the restaurant. Huge thanks to George for making our time here so enjoyable! :)

  • Review 5 (2023-05-17 - Rating: 5)

St Jardim is an accommodating and dependable wine bar in the West Village. They let me sample three wines before selecting my favorite. All the wines were exceptional and exactly the kind of funky wines I was looking to enjoy. Both indoor and outdoor seating is pleasant to sit at. Excited to come back here with my boyfriend to try more wines!

  • Review 6 (2023-04-03 - Rating: 4)

Cute and casual coffee and wine bar in the heart of West Village. They have food but it was a quick stop for us, we got Green tea and Espresso martini. I was surprised by the size of their servings. Tiny teapot was half full and martini was served in what looked like a doll house wine glass. I have to admit that it was strong and we felt tipsy afterwards. I am aware that I am accustomed to Texas sizes and everything is different in New York but paying $30 for two tiny sips during the day is a little annoying no matter where you are.

  • Review 7 (2024-11-22 - Rating: 5)

Great cozy vibes. Menu changes often and we loved all the bites we got. Interesting wine selection and recommendations were spot on. We spent $90 pp for 2 glasses and enough food to make us stuffed! Don’t miss the cavatelli or bread pudding.

  • Review 8 (2024-10-25 - Rating: 5)

The salad was delicious, and the bread was high quality. Our waitress was very kind, skillfully moving us inside when outside seating rules didn’t allow rearranging chairs. Cozy bar, lively vibe — loud but adds charm!

  • Review 9 (2024-08-02 - Rating: 5)

Very nice place where you can choose from a brunch menu until 2pm, and then 2 different proposals for lunch and dinner.Natural wines and tapas style dishes in a cool environment, with a very friendly staff.Good espresso.

  • Review 10 (2024-09-01 - Rating: 5)

We’ve called the West Village home for three years, and almost every Friday, you’ll find us here for a cup of Joe or a glass of wine — our neighborhood spot. In a city like NYC, where coffee shops are on every corner, we made it a point to find one that feels like a second home. St. Jardim isn’t just where we get our caffeine fix; it’s our third place, where the staff knows our names (and we know theirs) and the small bites never disappoint. It’s exactly the kind of place I’d want someone to recommend if I were visiting a new city.Cheers to Danielle, Toby, Cesar, Gaby, Jake, James and so many others!!!!

  • Review 11 (2024-12-18 - Rating: 5)

Cute little place, with fresh food, great wine selection and friendly service.

  • Review 12 (2023-02-08 - Rating: 5)

The yogurt bowl was 10/10, and the matcha oat latte was delicious, however it did have some matcha powder clumps at the bottom. Overall service was great, will definitely come again!

  • Review 13 (2024-11-07 - Rating: 5)

Very cool natural wine and coffee spot. Haven’t had a chance to try the food yet, but it looks great!

  • Review 14 (2022-10-24 - Rating: 4)

Five stars for evening menu, three for daytime.Lovely vibe, feels like a slice of Paris or something. Good-but-expensive wine list, and nice small plates.Breakfast dishes a bit disappointing. Forgettable breakfast sandwich, and the sourdough toast comes with barely an atom of jam.

  • Review 15 (2024-06-09 - Rating: 5)

I love it here! The atmosphere and wine selection never disappoints! It can get very busy so just be aware, but if you can snag a seat even at the bar, it’s truly a joy to sip and chat or read while enjoying some great wines or cocktails.

  • Review 16 (2023-04-17 - Rating: 5)

A super lovely wine bar. Was lucky enough to catch it on a warm night with the windows open and tables outside full of people, a friendly and upbeat ambience. And the wine and food were great.

  • Review 17 (2024-08-20 - Rating: 4)

Great place to meet for afternoon drinks. A little too small and super crowded. This might show how popular this place is. However, it was definitely loud and hard to move inside.Good spot to meet friends, have a small bite, and drinks.

  • Review 18 (2023-10-11 - Rating: 4)

Cute spot for coffee and a pastry. Americano and cold brew were great, as was the ham and cheese croissant and pain au chocolate

  • Review 19 (2024-06-11 - Rating: 5)

Having tried just about everything on the menu– If you’re looking for some peace and good food, St. Jardim is literal heaven on earth! I love this place and it’s people.

  • Review 20 (2024-07-21 - Rating: 5)

Great people serving great wine. Really special place. Didn’t have any of the food but can’t imagine it’s anything short of amazing. Can’t wait to come back.

  • Review 21 (2024-06-19 - Rating: 5)

Overall, a gem that you must try. I’ve been here for both happy hour and for coffee. It’s amazing how the place transforms from day to night. ✨During the day, it’s a charming coffee bar with a light and airy atmosphere. They serve delicious coffee and breakfast. ☕️There is both indoor and outdoor seating. If you’re lucky, snag a seat outside. The great thing about this place though is that the inside is cute and charming, so a table indoors is practically as good as one outdoors. 🧡I didn’t see anyone on laptops, so I’m guessing it’s a place to meet a friend or read a book. 📚If you’re in the WV, check this place out. 🧡

  • Review 22 (2022-07-23 - Rating: 5)

I love St Jardim.Favorite spot early AM on weekends, sitting inside or outside. All of their coffee/ hot drinks are amazing and I particularly like the breakfast sandwich.Note: recently went laptop free.

  • Review 23 (2023-01-29 - Rating: 5)

At St. Jardim just off 10th st & 7th ave in the west village, I tried the spiced cider (lemon & ginger) drink, and it was a warm treat in the winter and I believe is made from an apple cider. I sat at the bar, which was spacious and the bar counter itself is made of a high quality concrete. The location was popular, but not overly crowded and it was easy to have a conversation this Sunday morning, and the glass walls let in plenty of light even on an overcast day like today.

  • Review 24 (2024-07-26 - Rating: 5)

Stopped here on a mini wine tour we were doing and had a Vinho Verde and a ln orange wine. Great atmosphere with open windows and friendly environment. Didn’t eat, but the wine was wonderful.

  • Review 25 (2024-03-26 - Rating: 5)

Had an amazing dinner experience. Delicious food, great vibes and very smooth service ! The wine selection is impressive and also had some nice non-alcoholic choices. Would definitely recommend.

  • Review 26 (2024-03-26 - Rating: 5)

Had a wonderful breakfast sandwich and latte, with impeccable service. The built-in speakers and great music were a nice touch. Looking forward to returning for the natural wine; I’ve heard it’s superb!

  • Review 27 (2024-07-24 - Rating: 5)

Amazing service! Loved this cute little spot. Best matcha in the city, and also amazing wine!

  • Review 28 (2023-09-17 - Rating: 5)

Great casual spot for cocktails and/ or wine! Such a fun place in the summer with the windows open for some great NYC people watching 🙌🏻

  • Review 29 (2024-03-03 - Rating: 5)

Wonderful natural wine selection as well as delicious small bites. The staff is very welcoming and unpretentious. Super chill spot with lots of natural light. Great place to relax and enjoy a book.

  • Review 30 (2022-12-22 - Rating: 5)

Lovely wine but the staff is the standout. Ben was extremely knowledgeable and passionate about his wines, and was kind enough to walk me through most of the list(s). Its really cool to see a place where other staff will chime in and participate when sharing info with the guests. You can tell these people love their wines yet arent too precious about it

  • Review 31 (2023-01-03 - Rating: 5)

This is our new favorite place! Very European feel, cozy with good tunes playing, and a friendly knowledgeable staff. Ben was great about helping us pair wine with our food selection. it all came out absolutely perfect. We’ll definitely be back soon!

  • Review 32 (2024-09-09 - Rating: 5)

In town for a long weekend and was suggested to try this place by a friend. The food was amazing. We had small plates and tried a few different things. The chef is really doing something different here. The Tuna was amazing. George our server made the entire experience seamless. Including a wine pairing that accompanied every dish well. Great atmosphere, wonderful service, and amazing food!

  • Review 33 (2022-11-03 - Rating: 5)

Lovely little coffee shop, we stopped here for a quick coffee! Coffee tasted great, staff were friendly!

  • Review 34 (2022-02-06 - Rating: 5)

St. Jardim is my new go-to in the West Village. The ambiance is welcoming and puts you at ease, the staff are super friendly, and the food is great. The wine list changes each week and every time Im there I get a fantastic new rec from the staff. Its also a great option if youre looking for breakfast and a cup of coffee in the morning. It gets great light during the day.Too many good things to say about this place — cannot wait to be back soon!

  • Review 35 (2024-03-10 - Rating: 5)

I really like this place and will be returning. The coffee is great, love their food items and honestly the vibe is awesome to sit and read in. With that being said, it is extremely busy and quite crowded inside. The staff aren’t the friendliest because they are so overwhelmed with all of the people in line and waiting for a seat. However, I really enjoy it just be prepared for the crowd.

  • Review 36 (2024-09-16 - Rating: 4)

Very nice wine bar/cafe. Service could be more friendly.

  • Review 37 (2022-07-01 - Rating: 5)

Always one of my favorite in the neighborhood for casual but awesome wine and drinks. They save seats for walks in which is great. Service is great and friendly. My only feedback is about the noise inside, I wish they could do something with the acoustics because it can get really loud for a 30 years old millennial like myself

  • Review 38 (2022-02-06 - Rating: 5)

St Jardim is hands down one of the most unique Cafe/bars I have ever been to. Their wines are so thoughtfully selected and they’re all natural. Over all so much love and thought into the food - the cafe - the wine and drink menu- the market. Also so homey and cozy. I love their old world feel /artistic and cultured. A true transplant into the heart of the West Village.. a much needed change from the other basic places surrounding it.

  • Review 39 (2024-10-02 - Rating: 4)

I have been here for a dinner. The food is good and there are many choices of good wines. The place is amazing and very nice.We have eaten at the counter and it was very cool: the bartender was very friendly. The portion are very small, so I suggest this place if you want to have a good light meal with very good wine.

  • Review 40 (2022-05-13 - Rating: 5)

Love this place! Awesome natural wine, great ambiance. Perfect spot to get together with friends or go on a date! Staff is incredibly kind and helpful. Delicious small plates. Highly recommend, will be back soon!!

  • Review 41 (2023-04-07 - Rating: 4)

Great wines, nice atmosphere (especially people watching at the outdoor seating) but felt like the menu, especially the food options were a bit of a rip off. Paid $17 for a “cheese plate” that came with three slices of apple and a 1 inch piece of cheese and some bread — a bit obnoxious..

  • Review 42 (2024-02-29 - Rating: 5)

St Jardim is a beautiful cozy spot in the West Village serving a wide selection of wine & good food. Prices for a glass of wine range from $14-20, and food ranges from $10-$40.My friend and I got a class each, and also shared the beef tartare & cod dish. Beef tartare was decent, nothing remarkable. The cod was delicious with the crust at the top & well-seasoned veggies that paired so well with the sourdough puree. We also got the chocolate mousse which was delicious.Ambiance is perfect & the service is great. Despite the portion sizes being smaller, I will definitely be returning!

  • Review 43 (2024-07-15 - Rating: 5)

Great vibe and cute neighborhood place! amazing but small selection for dinner

  • Review 44 (2023-02-19 - Rating: 5)

Incredible experience with delicious raw bar, unexpected and delicious wines, and martini’s that are ice cold. Shout in particular to Taylor for the creative recs, Ben for his wine and food knowledge, and Camilla’s warm hospitality. Can’t wait to be back and send all the friends!

  • Review 45 (2022-07-18 - Rating: 5)

St Jardim is the best place for food and drinks in the West Village! The coffee is unparalleled, the staff are top notch and the food is fresh, healthy and dream-worthy. The breakfast sandwich deserves an award - so simple and yet she can’t be recreated at home (trust me, I’ve tried). The space is also one of a kind - open, light and airy. Sitting at the window seat, watching the world go by, you’ll be inspired to draft your memoir. If I could give this 10 stars out of 5, I would.

  • Review 46 (2022-10-30 - Rating: 5)

We loved our breakfast granola and yogurt bowl, as well as the farro salad. Lattes weren’t bad either . The staff were super - very attentive and helpful. Cozy cafe with terrific vegan options . Will be back again next time I’m in NYC!

  • Review 47 (2023-05-02 - Rating: 5)

An excellent choice for unique wines . The list is a wonderful mix of hard to find vino . Friendly staff and cozy seating.Make a res after 5pm it gets busy.Salute St.Jardim 🥂

  • Review 48 (2022-07-16 - Rating: 5)

Incredible flavors and quality. Warm service. Enjoyed the Halibut and an order of sourdough focaccia. Wow 🤩! The all natural wine list offers nothing that isn’t bone dry- that’s the one thing I’d like different here.

  • Review 49 (2022-05-13 - Rating: 5)

St. Jardim is perfect. Its effortless. A cozy cafe during the day (with amazing coffee, chai lattes, cookies, pastries, granola bowl, breakfast sandwich etc) that turns into an intimate wine bar in the evening with an awesome selection of natural wines and knowledgeable staff. The menu from day to night is super impressive as well – Im obsessed with the Vegetable Toast. Overall, this is one of my fave spots in New York and my top recommendations to anyone who visits.

  • Review 51 (2024-03-09 - Rating: 5)

Nice little cafe. I stopped in several times while I was in town and had great service each time. Cool atmosphere and great location too

  • Review 52 (2023-04-22 - Rating: 5)

Nothing but goodness here. The baristas are consistent and the coffee is really good. La Cabra pastries but they run out early. The egg plate is the best breakfast in the city.

  • Review 53 (2022-02-06 - Rating: 5)

St.Jardim is without a doubt the best cafe in the West Village!. The natural wine bar transports you to sunny France as many of the wines are sourced from Alsace. And the ever changing menu brings you back again and again. Don’t miss the opportunity

  • Review 54 (2022-02-06 - Rating: 5)

St Jardim is that rare gem that does so many things well. Enjoy toast and coffee and read news from corners of the world you would otherwise never hear from. Sip world class wine. Share a meal with friends or sit by yourself and read. The menu has a Mediterranean flare and is accessible and fun. It’s places like this that make New York City a special place!

  • Review 55 (2022-02-14 - Rating: 5)

Quintessential West Village neighborhood spot. Great place to catch up with friends for a drink or meet a date. Its wine bar meets high-end bodega meets specialty coffee. Brooklyn vibe from a friendly staff.

A West village must visit! You truly can not go wrong with anything on their menu. The yogurt granola + chai latte are my absolute personal favorite. Their wine selection is phenomenal. I make sure I visit this spot every time I’m in NY. Their staff is always attentive and helpful. This cozy, effortless, characteristic spot is one you can’t miss for any time.Truly a great change + addition to the west village.

  • Review 66 (2021-10-20 - Rating: 4)

Really cute spot. Love the aesthetic and the people that work here. Few suggestions to evolve the experience imo:PLEASE get stronger WiFi!! You guys are busier now and I’d love to come more often to work but it’s virtually impossible to work from here on my phone or MacBook as nothing will load. Used to be fine the first couple weeks you opened but def not strong enough now.Would be nice to maybe have some softer or calmer music in the mornings for when people are working. Maybe some classic smooth jazz or something more atmospheric.Lastly, you guys don’t come up on Google Maps when one types “coffee” or “cafe” so I think something needs to be updated there. :)

  • Review 67 (2022-02-06 - Rating: 5)

I am the brother of one of the owners, so admittedly a bit biased, but St Jardim is a great place. You can’t beat the location and ambience. I particularly enjoy the drip coffee from SEY.

Hands down my favorite wine bar in the West Village. I love their natural wine selection - they also have a couple of excellent rotating beers like Grimm and Hudson Valley Brewery - and fingerling potatoes, and the seasonal salad is always great. The staff always has great recommendations. We usually perch at the bar or by the window for a light dinner or have a couple glasses of wine there before dinner.

A haven in the neighborhood. Staff is always pleasant and chill, coffees great, vibe is cozy and relaxed. And the best thing: NO LAPTOPS ALLOWED! Love St Jardim.

  • Review 116 (2022-05-13 - Rating: 5)

Ive been to St. Jardim a few times and recently attended a private event. Every time Im blown away by how delicious the cocktails are, along with some amazing chilled reds. The staff is friendly and makes sure they know your name. I love that. As far as the vibe, you cannot beat this neighborhood and the location. All of the windows were fully open when I was there, making it a great place to hang on a beautiful spring day. Thank you, St. Jardim staff!

  • Review 117 (2023-06-26 - Rating: 4)

Good atmosphere, great servers, good for coffee or wine but the wine list needs a revamp.

  • Review 118 (2023-01-02 - Rating: 5)

Absolute neighborhood gem!! I loved the wine selection, bright lighting and overall aesthetic. I was also impressed by the high quality food for a smaller cafe feel. Ill be back for coffee, brunch and a wine date with girlfriends!

Honestly they serve the best Americano Ive ever had. And the tahinis are to die for. If this was in London Id be a regular!

When is a bar not a bar?A buddy of mine was grabbing a drink at the bar here before a show and texted me, so I popped in. Almost immediately I was asked to leave because the bar was full and they dont allow standing which I have to confess that, in a lifetime full of eating and drinking, was a first for me. It should be noted at this time that I was stone cold sober...and remained so.So, I never had anything to eat or drink here, but I had this odd experience and got a funny story out of it. The staff were very polite. Who knows? If I had eaten something I might be inclined to give it less or more than four stars. Well never know...

  • Review 122 (2023-04-18 - Rating: 5)

Great service & although it’s often crowded (it’s small), they’ll do what they can to get you a table & wont just turn you away like some other spots in the area do. best people watching corner if you can get a spot outside, prime time cocktail location.

Loved this place for a quick drink while it rained

  • Review 124 (2021-11-23 - Rating: 5)

We were 2 couples looking for a cozy place for a glass of wine after dinner. This corner location with tall windows all around fit us just right. The wine selection was wonderful only surpassed by the helpful proprietor who offered wines suggestions. St Jardims ambience and tasty wine really appealed to all 4 in our group. We will visit again. Give it a try if youre looking for a place like this.

Came in on Monday for coffee (and I guess wine?) with some friends, and was immediately drawn in by the music- LOVE the B-52s. Ended up with the most delicious Lambrusco and had just about the sweetest server/barista (maybe Camille or Camila?). When someone is dancing while making your latte, it really adds to the experience! I do wish they had more gluten free options, but what a gem of a place.

Great place in the heart of the West Village to meet up and have a glass of wine. Nice, relaxed vibe. Interesting wine by the glass selections, and nice appetizer choices also to pair with it. Some of the friendliest staff I have met in ages.

Coffee, irrespective of whether one orders an espresso or latte or anything in-between, is great; service friendly; and general vibe just really pleasant. One of my very favorite coffee shops in the city (and, therefore, by definition, given the high quality standards of NYC coffee, the world).

  • Review 133 (2022-12-03 - Rating: 5)

Love this spot on the corner in the evening for their great wine recommendations and excellent food too. My favourites were the tuna crudo with green strawberries and their grilled halloumi. I’d also give their orange negroni a try!
