The karaoke spot had pretty good prices, solid rooms, and a decent sound system. Overall, a great value for a fun time! -
Review 2 (2024-10-11 - Rating: 5)
This karaoke place does accept people under 21+ on WEEKDAYS, as long as you leave before midnight hits. As for WEEKENDS you can still enter if you’re under 21+ but after 8pm you can not enter.I called and the information was really helpful especially since I have friends who have yet to turn 21. They have a good selection of music, I wish they added more of BTS solo songs and Laufey but hey it was fun nonetheless! I stayed 4 hours on a Monday it was around $62 after tax. Not bad to be honest considering It was my friend and I. -

Such a fun place for singing!! I walked in as a party of 2 and after a couple of minutes we were shown to our room that we had for 1 hour. The system was great and had a lot of variety in song choice. The staff were very kind and I’d totally come here again! -

We had a lot of fun. -

If you like Karaoke 🎤 this is for you. Coming here with a bunch of friends is priceless. There are different rooms for each capacity. It is close to the train station 34st Herald Sq. -
Review 6 (2017-11-30 - Rating: 4)
I went with a group of friends and had fun. One plus side to this place is that you can order food from outside from the plethora of take out options they give you. They also offer alcohol drinks but water there is free. There was also a ton of songs to choose from and figuring out the controls on the iPad was fairly easy. The negatives about it was that the karaoke rooms were not sound proofed at all so if people yelled loud enough you could hear them (which we could) and that could prove annoying or distracting. Also the videos that were provided behind the words were sometimes very strange. If it wasnt a grainy low quality version of the music video it would be backgrounds of random Chinese videos that didnt match up to the song. I would rather just have the screen blank than to watch some random background video. All in all we had fun and it was a nice experience. -
Review 7 (2021-12-21 - Rating: 4)
Was a fun night out to celebrate my friends birthday. Ive never been to this karaoke place and didnt expect much, butt it didnt disappoint. Rooms were quite small, pricing for food/drinks, and hourly rates were not completely overpriced. Alcoholic drinks came out to be around $8 a glass, and rooms I believe were about $35/hr.I ordered a Long Island Iced Tea, and this drink definitely went heavy on the amount of alcohol in it. With that being said, we originally asked for one hour as we spontaneously decided to go 🎤ing , butt the hour passed by so quickly we wanted to add more time - the rooms were fully booked and they said thet there was already another party after us.I would return to this seem to be low-key karaoke place a little outside of K-town for another night out with my friends.🍸🍹 -

I love this place. We go every couple of months, and it never fails. The song selections are fantastic! The place is clean and the rooms hold varieties of people and accommodate 2 to 20. Its a great choice for ridiculous Karaoke. The way they manage the room time and the drink service through a bat phone in our room is so convenient. Our only complaints are... we arent able to control the AC in the room, and we wish they had a list of restaurateurs we could order from to get wings and fries and snacks so we wouldnt have to go pick up food in advance.Other than that, this place rocks!!!! -
Review 9 (2023-07-03 - Rating: 5)
Came during an off time - it was pretty clean and they had most songs you could want (as recent as Flowers - Mile Cyrus). Its relatively cheap, so it does the job for the price and the equipment is easy to use. Its not the most complex as you cant change the queue easily, but was definitely good fun. Service was pretty decent - they were good about getting us our soju and waters -
Review 10 (2024-02-19 - Rating: 4)
Clean space. Had no issues. Karaoke collection not as limited as some previous google reviews made me think it was going to be. Great rates in a walkable Times Square location. Nice find for someone coming from out of town. -
Review 11 (2022-12-19 - Rating: 4)
Easy to book and staff was really friendly. The drink menu was decent, equipment worked well, and the space was comfortable. They even gave us mic covers.Just wasnt a fan of the way you look up songs. One iPad to look up and input songs. There was also a Google doc you could access on your phone but it was hard to find things. For the love of God do not get the candy cheese. It was like taking a bite out of a stack of Kraft singles. We got it out of curiosity but it was a bad gamble. -
Review 12 (2022-09-18 - Rating: 5)
Been my go-to karaoke place for 5 years now. Always a great service from them. Relatively cheaper drinks compared to those from few blocks away at K-town. Very good sound system here as well. And most importantly, they close late. I think theres even one time that me and my friends stayed until 3 or 4am in the morning. Very convenient in terms of public transpo too since theyre near the herald square station. 5 stars indeed! -
Review 13 (2022-08-15 - Rating: 5)
My friend and I booked a reservation for last Saturday for his birthday, we came an hour early and still was told we can start our reservation ahead of time. Staff was very friendly and welcoming, song selection was great and so were the drinks. It was just a tad bit cold in the karaoke room but that’s given since it’s the summertime, I would just recommend brining a sweater or hoodie! -
Review 14 (2024-03-04 - Rating: 5)
Ive gone here four times for my birthday so far and Ive loved it every time! Its in a great area. Weve always ended the night here. The rooms are spacious and clean and the bar is great! The staff was super nice! -
Review 15 (2022-07-30 - Rating: 5)
Duet 35 is an amazing karaoke venue. Its clean, catalogue is good and with multiple languages available. The ability to order food and drinks through your phone, and select songs using a tablet, allow for uninterrupted fun. Staff is friendly and flexible, prices are ok! -
Review 16 (2022-07-06 - Rating: 5)
Ive been going to this location for over 5 years. The prices are AMAZING, and the customer service is great. They are very strict about not bringing alcohol into rooms with minors, but you are welcome to drink at the bar. They have updated their queuing system, which makes it even easier to have a good time.Edit 7/5/22: There are now group rates instead of per person rates. -
Review 17 (2023-03-14 - Rating: 5)
We came for a 2 pm karaoke session. They opened a few minutes after 2pm. Not very crowded. Rooms are clean. Bathroom is clean. Great selection of songs in English and other languages. -
Review 18 (2021-11-11 - Rating: 5)
Excellent rates even in high demand times, drinks were reasonably priced and mixed very well. The song selection was vast and easy to do with their iPad system, and the lyrics were one of the most on par Ive seen in a karaoke place. One of the best Ive been to in midtown and will be my first choice when going out singing with friends. -
Review 19 (2021-08-13 - Rating: 5)
Great price for the time. Especially compared to the other karaoke bars in the area. Really great service too. Friendly staff that arent pushy or try to rush you even though they do get very busy. The only complaint is I think the song selections are a bit limited. Or Limited for my taste I guess. But still 5 stars because theyre great otherwise. -
Review 20 (2019-03-07 - Rating: 5)
Ive been coming here for over a decade and I adore this place. Weekday prices are $7 and hour and they do a marathon which is $13 or 14 per person from 2pm until 8pm unlimited karaoke. You get a private room for you and your friends. They have a very large music selection that consists of old and new music. After 8pm ID is required because they do serve alcoholic beverages. They sell snacks and food as well if you get hungry. Staff is friendly, the place is nice and clean. Always a bomb time! -
Review 21 (2014-06-06 - Rating: 5)
We came on a Sunday afternoon, which is probably why the place wasnt full and we didnt had to book a room ahead of time. Except that, it was a really fun experience! The price was really good, and there was no drink minimum. The songs selection were pretty good, but the room was a bit small.Overall - I would definitely come back! -
Review 22 (2018-01-14 - Rating: 4)
I like Duet. It has become a karaoke chain in NYC still offering affordable marathon rates ($14 per person) and updated songs. They offer private rooms and this is their original location. I would recommend booking in advance. They also have a stamp card if you go often. This location was updated, but is still not the cleanest. They allow you to bring your own food and snacks but drinks must be purchased with them. Remember to leave a tip especially if you do not intend to clean up after yourself! They updated their system to accept songs from an iPad and each room usually has a central air system to adjust the temperature. They offer songs in English, Chinese, Korean, and Japanese as I am aware. Overall still a great affordable spot for karaoke. -
Review 23 (2024-07-07 - Rating: 5)
Excellent private karaoke room experience! The rooms are well air-conditioned, clean, well-equipped with a tablet for song catalog search and queueing!! I love that they still have the traditional phone to call you when your time is almost upAlso, I noticed the microphones were really good quality and was surprised by that. Like I dont actually sound that good without it.The staff were excellent and provided great service. We walked in to see if there was an open time and they let us know their availability, and we were able to reserve a time slot a little in the future. We also had a friend show up a little bit later and they were very accommodating in letting them join and allowing us to up our rate even though we initially reserved for 4.There is an ID check policy for all guests if anyone is ordering alcohol! They have a strict no outside food or drink policy. They checked bags and emptied my water bottle. -
Review 24 (2018-04-18 - Rating: 4)
Plenty of rooms, so many songs, and my hearing is pretty wonky after this. The rooms are quite big and decent, you can definitely hear people singing from outside, sorry for the ones who had to hear me. You can bring drinks, but not food. Prices were quite cheap, $6 an hour per person at 7 P.M. on a Saturday.Theres a tablet where you input song by their numbers or even their artist and you add them into your list to play. Theres like a couple of huge books filled with songs/artists, but the bad thing is that you have to look through a lot of them unless you know what you want. The volume is adjustable, but we put ours so high (to try to cover our terrible voices) and it really hurt my ears. After that I had a major headache. We tried the takoyaki and it was pretty decent, a good sharing size for about 2-3 people. -
Review 25 (2024-09-09 - Rating: 5)
Great rooms, very clean, staff is so friendly and helpful. We had a blast singing our hearts out. -
Review 26 (2021-07-20 - Rating: 4)
Came here on a Sunday evening, it was really fun! the song selection is slightly outdated but I expected that. The room was a nice size for me and my 3 friends. If you plan on drinking everyone in your party must be 21+ because they only do room service :(. But otherwise I had a great time. (There’s a $5 tax on your bill ) -
Review 27 (2016-09-04 - Rating: 4)
This was a nice place. My friend and I planned a double date here. We made reservations and because of that, I think we got one of the biggest room without including the party room. But even though we arrived 40 minutes late, they didnt give up our room. Coming here was nice and the staff was friendly. Once you are in your room, you look through these books on the table that will tell you the code you need to enter to sing that song using a remote on the table. Its pretty easy. When your hour or hours is almost up, an employee will come into the room to let you know that you have 10 minutes left. All in all, it was a nice Karaoke experience for my first. -
Review 28 (2019-03-11 - Rating: 5)
Thank you so much for accommodating our 6 person party last minute! The sound system was wonderful, the ease of selecting songs was great the videos were a lot of fun it was wonderful having room service drinks brought to us. Our experience was fantastic from start to finish! Thank you for making the third stop of Pops 75th birthday epic adventure absolutely Unforgettable! -

Review 30 (2021-06-01 - Rating: 5)
I have been here a number of times and they never disappoint. I celebrated my birthday here this time and as always, my guest and I were treated with courtesy and great customer service. Im so happy they are still open and survived the shu down. I will definitely be returning! -
Review 31 (2011-11-08 - Rating: 4)
Duet 35 is the perfect place to go with a large group of people for karaoke/happy hour. The rooms are large and clean (which is hard to come by at these private room places). They have a great sound system, numerous microphones and a huge karaoke selection. You even get to pick up a phone to order drinks and while their English isnt great, they havent messed up an order yet. They do keep a close watch on who comes into the room, so if someone stops by, theyll charge you for them if they stay past 15 minutes, so make sure to collect money from that person if they decide to stay, which, they probably will. -
Review 32 (2023-01-07 - Rating: 5)
Pretty wide selection of music, snacks, and drinks. The room we got was a little small for a group of 8, but it was okay. The service was great, would definitely come back! -
Review 33 (2013-03-08 - Rating: 4)
Came here recently with a pretty rowdy group of friends. Was pretty impressed by the song selection but be warned - most of the MVs are not the originals and are based on some very odd Korean movies. Still, had a great time. Also found out that its very cheap to come here in weekdays in the afternoon ($4/h per person). Would be great for college kids. Service was decent, not terrific but what you would expect at this price. -
Review 34 (2015-08-10 - Rating: 4)
Its pretty good, and they have a large room if you have a big party. While the drinks arent very strong, they also arent very expensive. You can also bring your own food. They have a large amount of songs, even if the variety is a bit lacking as far as alternative options go (barely any Weird Al, almost no ska or hardcore, etc.). The price is great and the staff is attentive. -
Review 35 (2020-02-02 - Rating: 5)
Great experience. We had a blast. Lots of music to select from. Some old, some current. No issues with service and will be going back soon. Loved that we were able to bring our own food and decorate the room. -
Review 36 (2013-03-09 - Rating: 4)
Duet 35 is my all time favorite location for karaoke singing! I love their marathon pricing - for 7 to 8 hours of singing, you pay only $12 or $14 per person. They also serve free water if youre feeling thirsty. No outside drinks are allowed. But, you can bring outside food, such as a birthday cake or even order for delivery! Their otherwise hourly rate of $5 to $8, depending on the time of day, is a good deal, compared to other karaoke places in the area. They also have a reward system that if you get a certain number of stamps, you get one hour of free karaoke. They sometimes, have the real videos for the songs, but occasionally, there might be some random funny ones. They always update their song list monthly and have a most popular song list as well. The place is very clean and spacious. And I always love going back to Duet, whether its for a birthday celebration or just a karaoke outing! -
Review 37 (2024-06-28 - Rating: 4)
Hosted a team event here. The staff was very responsive and I was able to book the event a day before without any hassle. There food and drinks were good and the service was excellent. Everyone there was very friendly. They use YouTube for all the songs and you just need to search the song title + karaoke to load it up and sing. I didnt see any way to queue up songs though, which is always fun to do and prevents the lull in between songs. We had 1 issue with a pre-ordered meal not arriving and while they made it right with another option at no cost, which was appreciated, but I would not recommend going here with anyone that has special dietary requirements. -
Review 38 (2019-04-12 - Rating: 5)
Awesome place. My sister-in-law is 20 and we were able to enjoy karaoke. If we wanted to drink we had to leave the room and go to the bar outside in the lobby which was fine. The song choices were great as well. I had the takoyaki, chicken, and edamame. They were all really tasty, and pretty reasonably priced. The system uses an iPad. My only complaint is that as far as we could tell, you couldnt see back to what the next song was if you added more than like 10 songs. Basically we couldnt see the full song queue. Other than that the place is an awesome gem that has a really awesome price! -
Review 39 (2019-12-29 - Rating: 5)
Very friendly and easy service. Didnt have to wait too long for a room on a late Friday night and really great selection of songs. Will be one of my go-tos along with their other locations. -
Review 40 (2019-10-05 - Rating: 5)
Whenever my college roommate comes into town, this is where we always meet. I’ve never had a complaint going here. The drinks are cheap. The song selection is thick. I don’t really order any food so I can’t comment. But we’ll continue keep coming here for the foreseeable future. -
Review 41 (2021-08-01 - Rating: 5)
Its a little pricer than it used to be pre pandemic but its still a great time . The drinks taste good and arent too expensive and you can bring in w.e food you want. The song list is pretty good too, they have songs in a bunch of other languages including Japanese , Korean and Spanish. -
Review 42 (2013-10-13 - Rating: 5)
If youve gotten the courage to show off your superstar voice, make sure to head to Duet 35 in the heart of K-Town. The rates are cheap ($6/person/hr) Mondays-Thursdays, and not bad on Friday-Sun ($8). The drinks are pretty good, if not a little watered down. They have rooms for parties as small as 2 or as large as 30. Theyre also good about splitting the bill with multiple people, just make sure that if your friends leave early that they have already paid before theyve left, or else youll get stuck with the bill! -
Review 43 (2019-02-26 - Rating: 5)
Had our moms surprise party there this past Saturday and it was great. They let us come in an hour before our reservation time to decorate. They dont have a lot of tables so be ready to work with what you got in the room. We had the biggest room and everyone was comfortable. Please be advised that if you have anyone under 21 in the room, you have to drink your alcohol in the front at the bar. Will definitely be back though. -
Review 44 (2023-05-01 - Rating: 4)
The remote control was really simple. We cant shuffle the songs. Song choices is decent but not a whole lot of new songs. -
Review 45 (2018-02-20 - Rating: 5)
How had I not been here? Most modern and clean karaoke bar Ive been to in the K-Town area. Staff are kind and helpful. Technology and song selection are fantastic. And they put up with our serious drunk antics. -
Review 46 (2016-07-16 - Rating: 5)
Better song selection than most places. Drinks are well done and are of average Manhattan prices. Staff is friendly and the place itself is nice and well kept.If you plan on having a large party, MAKE A RESERVATION! it WILL get crowded on weekend nights! -
Review 47 (2022-02-01 - Rating: 5)
Cool staff. Great booths with variety of amount of people you want to bring. Low cost. Not a super wide international selection of sings but great nonetheless. Cant wait to go back!!💞💞💞 -
Review 48 (2021-09-12 - Rating: 5)
Friendly staff with good service. Easy to make a reservation for a group for a weekend night. Rooms were nice and song list seemed extensive enough for our needs. -
Review 49 (2017-03-03 - Rating: 4)
Love this place. Come here at least a few times a month all the way from Suffolk, Long Island. The song selection is vast enough to satisfy every different type of music lover, you can bring your own food or order out, and its just a generally super fun place for any occasion- birthday, party, just hanging out on a Friday night, etc. I only hold back one star because not all their rooms are equipped with a full functioning AC unit, and if you get stuck in one of those, prepare to sweat. -
Review 50 (2019-04-08 - Rating: 4)
Great place for karaoke, good music systems in every room. Every thing clean. Got room right at reservation time.Great staff, very firendly. Has a full bar menu, beer, liquor, wines with a few cocktails. Snacks available for purchase, and food menu I dont try.Karaoke management is easy to use but could use a queue system, something that can delete songs accidently added. -
Review 51 (2017-08-19 - Rating: 4)
One of the good karaoke places in the city. It is open late into the night and has a good drink menu. The private rooms are really big, with a couch, a table to place your drinks and ample space inbetween the table and the screen. You get a card, which is crossed off every hour you spend there. So, 15 hours at Karaoke Duet 35 = 1 free hour there. -
Review 52 (2017-11-08 - Rating: 4)
A little easy to miss and seems kinda sketch from the outside. Besides that everything is great. Nice staff and good rooms, whether your group is small or large. The song selection is good as well. -
Review 53 (2018-06-03 - Rating: 5)
I am addicted to karaoke and who better to provide me with that service then Duet! They have amazing prices, all days of the week. They have clean and cool rooms where you can sit back and sing your heart out. The staff is always so pleasant and their drinks pack a punch. Be sure to visit their website for prices and call beforehand to make a reservation as they tend to get pretty busy at this location. -
Review 54 (2016-03-19 - Rating: 4)

Really nice that they had private rooms. Made for a great singing experience in our small group. They even let us decorate the room for our bachelorette party, and bring in outside food! -
Review 56 (2019-10-02 - Rating: 5)
Such a large song selection! Very well priced drinks too and they didnt seem watered down at all. For sure going to be a way to start a night out when Im in the city. -
Review 57 (2011-08-11 - Rating: 4)
The smaller of the Duet karaoke places in the city, its just as good. You dont even have to leave the room to get a drink, just call the front desk on the phone. Really solid catalogue of songs and its always fun to throw on the different video versions to play in the background as you do your best Billy Joel impression. -
Review 58 (2017-03-10 - Rating: 4)
I did this private room karaoke for the first time for a friends birthday. They allow outside food and serve drinks. The staff is also pretty friendly. However, it wasnt a very polished place. Not having experienced anything like this before, Ill come back to this review and edit if this turns out to be the norm. -
Review 59 (2015-12-31 - Rating: 5)
Cute little karaoke bar. Beware that there isnt any service underground, though. Good daytime/off-peak prices. Clean atmosphere and theyll let you bring in outside food (no delivery though). Not the best selection of music, but certainly one of the better choices! -
Review 60 (2018-01-24 - Rating: 5)
Great price for Manhattan £4per person before 8 and then $7 after 8pm. Good selection of alcohol around $7-10. Lots of song choices and booths for party sizes. -

Good music selection. Yummy takoyaki :) The rooms are kind of small for the price they charge though. The one thing I love about this place is the location. Its in Koreatown so you have all the great restaurants to go to when your voice is gone! I wouldnt go here with a big group though. -
Review 64 (2022-05-24 - Rating: 4)
Had an amazing time here with friends when I was in town. I wish the tablet with the song listings was a little better but that didnt kill the experience. Id definitely recommend a visit -

Top 10 Rules of engagement when karaoking with Jenn include the following of Do Not Attempts(to sing with me if):1. you dont actually know the song2. youre too shy and low and no one can hear you anyway3. youre too loud and now everyone can only hear you4. you have zero musicality and are screwing up the song5. cats and dogs whimper in agony whenever you try6. you cant hang for a whole marathons worth (2-8 pm)7. your favorite last song is Its My Life. Because its not your life; its Bon Jovis. And because we are not at the same sad club where its last call and time to head home.8. you like to input Will Smith songs, but abandon it halfway into the song9. youre not going to partake in the singing, and think its perfect timing to have long and meaningful conversations with your neighbor10. youre on your cell phone texting vehemently. this is a cell-free zone, buddyIve been coming here for years, and Duet 35 usually does not fail me even if my companions sometimes do. They have since expanded this location and there are new rooms available. The staff has been slacking in the song updating department, but they are never more than 2 months behind. Their franchise is still the best place for private rooms. At $12 or $14/per person/per hour, its a steal for mic hogs who cant seem to let it go, let it go, and Ill rise like the break of dawn. -
Review 69 (2018-08-06 - Rating: 5)
This is my favorite karaoke place! Lots of songs to pick from, clean, organized and really nice staff. Ive been going here for a couple of years and I always have a good time. Avoid those sketchy karaoke places downtown and come here! -
Review 70 (2020-02-13 - Rating: 4)
Place is not bad. Wish they brought the drinks and you didnt have to go to the bar because the line can be long and they usually only have 1 bartender. Takes away from your karaoke time. -
Review 71 (2019-01-07 - Rating: 5)
Karaoke duet has the best english/japanese song selection of most of the spots Ive been to in NYC. Its also clean, the bar, while pricy and nothing super special, is also generally quick and reliable, and the staff is also super courteous.Lots of good times to be had here. -
Review 72 (2016-01-09 - Rating: 5)
They have a great selection of songs(even Spanish, some Bollywood, and I think kpop) and some nice rooms. Also for a great price! 4$/hour on regular days and 5$/hour on Fridays and holidays. -
Review 73 (2022-06-24 - Rating: 5)
This place is probably the cleanest karaoke in Herald Square/KTown area and that’s a BIG plus. The prices are suuuuper reasonable and cheap compared to other karaoke lounges. The venue is also quite big compared to other spots that only have like 5 rooms so much more space for other parties. The song selections could be better but acceptable for all the other pros. They offer song books which is super helpful with big groups so not one person is looking for songs, everyone is able to sing. They also allow you to order individually through a QR code which is super helpful so people don’t have to do all their own calculations and payments. -

Good prices on weekday nights and extensive song selection. Note that they seem much more strict about time limits than some of the other places nearby, which will give you an extra 10-15 minutes -

The staff were kind and tried to make room for us - we came in without on reservation on a busy Saturday night. They even gave us an extra 30 minutes. I was just sad that they aren’t open on Mondays - I wanted to go one more time before my flight home. Give this place a go and sing your heart out! -

I can sometimes hear other people singing but the prices for each hour are great. Not the best food or drink menu but you can pour game before! -

A good little karaoke place! It seems small, but the individual rooms you get look fine and it has a cheap hourly rate (about 6$ per hour if I remember correctly), so you can spend a lot of time there without breaking the bank! -

Fun spot to go late at night with friends! there was a one drink minimum per person in a 10 person room. we showed up around 10:30/11 and stayed for a while. got food, drinks, the staff were attentive but let us be. All came out to $440 after tax, which was a steal after all the food and drinks cause we had been quoted $350 at other places JUST for the room. Definitely drop in! -
