    I love this place! It has delicious food, great service and a fun atmosphere. It is large enough for big groups. There is a large fun bar area as well! The best things to order are the margaritas, the nachos, the tortilla soup and the tacos Al carbon. Josephat was so kind and helpful, amazing customer service. I have hosted three large groups here and the food and service never slips.

    Nice staff, good drinks, pretty good food. Easy to make a reservation, large space with cool decor, a bit warm inside. I got chicken quesadillas which were fine. The lavender honey jalapeño margarita was great, not too sweet, and with a kick. My friend got steak tacos, which she seemed to like. We shared chips and salsa. The salsa didn’t have a ton of flavor but was fine. Comfortable seating with large booths and tables available, and service was quick.

    The food and vibe is great here. I’m jain and have many dietary restrictions. The server was very helpful and was able to accommodate 3 dishes as per our need. We had the Taco Mama, their entrees tacos (good enough for 2-3 ppl). Also, they have alot of margaritas and we ordered a few different ones (guava and pear ones are really good).

    Located near the pier at Hudsons, this location surpassed my expectations. The ambiance exudes a fine dining setting with dim lights and cosy interior. There’s a bar area and lots of dining space, quite alot of options for seating. The service was exceptional from start to finish, our server was attentive and polite. The food was also appetizing, however I think the portions were too small for the price. Nevertheless, I’d recommend this spot for a family dinner, a day or night out with friends or just a new place to add to your to go list.

    Not a lot of vegetarian options, but the ones that we did get were very good. I was especially pleased with the Nacho Mama, which had the right amount of cheese and toppings and wasn’t overly greasy. Everything else was better than average, which makes the place stand out. Huge location, lots of outdoor seating, and fair enough prices. The primary reason that I didn’t rate it higher is because the service was pretty poor at my table. The server walked off before even letting me finish a sentence when I was trying to order. Also, he didn’t know the menu well enough to help us find vegetarian options. Overall, a good dining experience... minus the less than stellar server.

    This place is fantastic!!! Food quality is through the roof, service is good and extra fast. We adored the atmosphere and the tastiness of the food we got. We ordered two shrimp tacos, two zucchini quesadilla and a black bean enchiladas, along with a beer, a red sangria and a red margarita with a bottle of still and sparkling water. We spent about 155$.

    This is my second time visiting this restaurant. I visited 4 years ago and I went after work. This time, I went on a Sunday afternoon. It was not too crowded and the staff were nice. I ordered the guacamole and chips. It was delicious. I had the chicken quesadilla and the churros. It was delicious. I look forward to coming back in the future.The place is very accessible by public transportation.

    Absolutely delicious! Started off with the guacamole with tuna tartare...high grade tuna and the guacamole was seasoned well. It could have been a bit more spicier for my liking. My duck mole was phenomenal...it was cooked perfectly where it was falling off the bone and not dry. The rice was slightly over cooked for me, but seasoned well. They gave you two tortillas on the side but couldve done without...not into assembling my food. Drinks were really good - we got a pitcher of margarita and specialty cocktails which were all good...they werent stingy on the liquor. Service was great- our waiter was super friendly and knowledgeable...recommended great drinks. Definitely would go back again

    This place has really cool decor. We came here for brunch and there was no wait. Service was fast and our waiter was attentive. We had the chips and salsa, and felt that it was nothing special. I had the beef burrito and really enjoyed it. It was extremely filling and had a side of guac. My husband had pancakes, which were okay.

    Great Sunday lunch experience. Large and spacious with nicely decorated interior filled with Mexican-style furnishings and touches all around. Not a spot is missed, and yet, not gaudy at all. Service and food are equally superb. Best of all, be sure to order the chips and salsa -- free refills are on the table! Yum!

    Let me just start out by saying we had a good experience. The food was good and fresh. I love the vibe and I’m happy we went. The wait staff experience was nothing spectacular but wasn’t bad either, just did the bare minimum. I’ve also had better Mexican food and drinks for a lot less money. So should you go here yes. Is it my favorite…. No. I recommend Sombreros in Midtown over this location.

    The waitress was super friendly and knowledgeable of the menu. She made good recommendations as well, ensuring to keep my taste buds in mind with each food description she gave. The food, WOW! Guacamole was tasteful and creative. It had a sprinkle of Habanero cheese which gave the taste a creative kick. The chips were perfectly salted. My dinner, the Chicken Enchilada had an addicting thick salsa that left me wanting more with each bite I took. It went well with the side rice and beans. The side dish could have used a little more flavor but with all the combination of flavors the main dish had, it was enough to have my taste buds dancing for more. My waitress shift was ended as we paid the check but to my surprise, another super nice waiter came by to let us know we could take our time and if there was anything we needed while still there to let him know. Made me feel so comfortable. If I wasnt so full I would have ordered a drink! The only downer to this place is that they force the happy hour crowd tl specifically stay in one area. Not sure if its because they make the drinks different for that section or its crowd control for dinner guests but the fact that happy hour drinks were only served at the bar discouraged me from having any drinks at all. Other than that the place has beautiful decor and is well maintained (pre dinner rush). Definitely my new favorite spot in this area! Will be coming around soon again.

    It was my first time experience, interior was interesting and I would give 3/5 for service, because we changed mind for one item and asked to replace it with something else in like 1-2 mins after sending the order. You cannot change once you put the order in.We had burritos, guac chips and few more items and they were really good. The mock-tails and cocktails were good too.The overall experience was good. I look forward to visiting this restaurant again.

    Beautiful spacious restaurant with very unique features and nice lighting throughout. Convenient location to One World Trade Ctr. The service was excellent and the appetizers and drinks were amazing! The entrees werent as flavorful as I expected, despite a good portion. To add there is a photobooth ($3) which was really fun with Sombreros for props too!

    That blonde Pamela Anderson looking waitress (Rileigh) was absolutely stellar. My husband and I got into a fight mid-meal and she effortlessly resolved our issues. In addition, she used her charming personality to convince us to buy one of everything on the menu. It was spectacular! I will come back everyday from now on!

    Great food, yet service was slow and inattentive. I asked for grilled jalapeños when I ordered and they never came. Had to ask twice to get another basket of chips and didn’t get another dipping sauce. I would positively recommend the chicken enchiladas rojas, though.     El Vez has both a dine in area with a large selection of Mexican food and a burrito bar that you can take to go. The dine in area has great guacamole and tacos, however the portions are a tad small and a bit pricy. My favorite dish is the nacho mama and the tacos with a blood orange frozen margarita!The burrito bar usually has a long wait during lunch, but is worth it. You select what you want as you want as you move along the line, however there are a ton of options, including Korean beef, queso cheese and you can even get pineapples as a topping!

    Excellent customer service as usual. We come here almost every week and every-time the food is fresh and delicious! There isn’t a single time when the food doesn’t taste good. Everything from the menu is so yummy. We live close by and this is our go-to food. We usually get: Nacho Mama with birria (which are excellent), carnitas tacos, guacamole, plantains, and you can’t go wrong with any choice of margaritas. Classic & strawberry margaritas are my favorite! Great vibe and beautiful decor inside. There is also a Photo Booth for who ever likes to make some memories and cute pics.Small tip: on weekends go with reservations! Walk-ins might have a bit of a wait time.

    A new favorite of ours. The highlight is definitely the birria tacos.The cucumber mint margarita was super refreshing and light.The dragon guacamole was good, although a bit overpriced for guac. The nachos mama is very good, its rare that nachos leave such a positive impression on me. The watermelon and heirloom tomato salad is pretty good as well.As far as entrees, like I said the birria tacos are must. The chicken enchiladas are also excellent, I liked the short rib enchiladas as well but not as much as the chicken. The pork chop mole was delicious and tasted authentic. The chicken quesadilla was pretty good. And the plantains con crema are always a hit.

    Was able to get a table outside which allowed for good people watching. Large quantity of food even for their appetizers. Their macno nacho appetizer had enough for an entree and very good to boot. The steak tacos and lamb tacos were pretty good as well to go with the exceptional service.     Wow !! This was our first visit to El Vez near battery park.Very spacious and live atmosphere! Greeted with a nice smile and very prompt seated at table. For a rainy and flooded NYC day, place was 80% packed.Red bell pepper margarita was the best ! Prickly pear margarita was next best winner.Tito Santana guacamole was very tasty.Overall, all dishes were surprisingly delicious and portions were just right sized.Definitely a go to place again!!!

    Food was fantastic, flavorful and overall a good experience. We enjoyed our dinner at El Vez. We had a reservation for 7pm that we made a week in advance but they couldn’t find the reservation. I showed them the email and the Resy reservation on my phone, but they still claimed they couldn’t find us. Oddly, when we glanced at their tablet we could see our name. So not sure what that was about. But they were good and seated us immediately.Our waiter was quick and attentive. We enjoyed the guacamole, but it wasn’t very spicy. The strawberry basil lemonade was refreshing and sweet. The tacos were fantastic. The shrimp were flavorful, juicy and perfectly grilled. Same with the steak. The build your own tacos was a fun experience.Overall great experience and recommend el Vez

    Amazing food and lovely environment! We got the brussel sprout tacos, shrimp enchiladas, the big plate of nachos, and a few other things as we were a big group. There were a couple vegetarians with us and there were plenty of good options for them as well. Everything was amazing. The food is not very spicy in case you are sensitive to spice.

    Searched for a Mexican Restaurant nearby and this El Vez popped up. Ambiance is fantastic and the Nachos and Tacos were wonderful. Sangria’s taste was not what I expected but still fine (usually I had sweet ones) Recommend the steak taco. Desert we ordered, Waffle Chocolate Taco (I guess) was something!! Best choice for the final touch.

    Wow! El Vez really impressed us with their restaurant environment and amazing menu! The food tasted authentic and fresh, and the staff was honest about wait time, which we greatly appreciated. Omar, our server, was a wonderful personality and we can’t thank him enough for being a fantastic server. I went with the Chicken Enchiladas which comes with a side of beans and rice. A perfect duo!     Yum. A favorite Mexico and destination. If youre downtown, this is the place for yummy Mexican. Enjoy happy hour and the long bar until 7pm.     Health screening was a priority. They checked your well being when you announce yourself at the desk. The space is fantastic. The Sparkling White Sangria was awesome! The food was delicious. It’s close to the Hudson River so you can take a nice riparian walk after. The ferry terminal from NJ is a block away.

Crqzy thing is it was the first thing we ordered and saw her write it down on her pad. Then she went to talk to another waitress about us in Spanish not knowing some of my party understands Spanish.     Found this Jem Mexican food place near World Trade Center it’s a 5-10 mins walk, where you get authentic Mexican food so flavourful and delicious. We had a starter and 2 main course for 2 pax. The started was mushroom based and it’s vegetarian loved the way cheese and mushrooms blended and it was so delicious and mouthwatering.Highly recommend Carnitas Tacos which is pork belly based the moment I took a bite of it, it was so soft and so tasty never had so yummy and delicious pork. It’s worth the money and one plate won’t be sufficient if you love the wasteLove the service and atmosphere. The wait time was less after you order food even though the kitchen is busy all the time

    If you are someone that likes spicy Mexican then you should tell them when ordering. The food was good but default was not spicy at all (maybe a NYC thing), they had good cocktails as well.Restaurant was pretty full of younger 20-30 somethings when we went, presented as a fancier place but once there they were pretty much fine with whoever you are and however you come.

Friday was our first time going and the staff and service were superb!I made a reservation for a surprise birthday dinner for my fiancé and the restaurant was so.... accommodating and patient with us!     This mexican restaurant on the edge of Hudson and World Trade areas was delicious. The margarita and michelada were flavorful and refreshing. Breakfast burrito can easily feed two people. Its HUGE. Ask for the spicy orange salsa for a hot habanero salsa. Its super spicy and so good.

    A solid restaurant serving good Mexican food and even better Birria. I came here for the Birria nachos and it came out on a big plate with plenty of toppings. I had the steak tacos and it was juicy, crispy, and just melted in your mouth good. The yellow tomatoes in it added a unique flavor. My friends had the enchiladas and the Birria tacos. I would get the Birria tacos next time. Overall nice ambiance and good food!

    Came here with a group of 10 friends. The restaurant is huge with tons and tons of seating. Its a very pretty restaurant right in the heart of Battery Park City. The tequila list is quite extensive, with probably 40 - 50 to choose from. The food was really good, everyone was very happy. I took away one star because my shrimp tacos though very good, were just luke warm instead of hot when delivered to the table.

    I like some of the food. We felt rushed when the waiter told us they were closing at 10pm but they took our reservation at 9:15pm.     Enjoyed lunch here last week. The food was very good but wasn’t impressed by the drinks. The specialty margaritas were not good and the sangria was watery. The guacamole was also lacking.     My 2nd visit here. Fantastic food. I had the short rib enchiladas, nachos and churros. Amazing decor. Youll notice around the restaurant that there are a lot of painting of Elvis. This is actually El Vez - a famous Mexican Elvis impersonator that the restaurant was named after. Thank you to the wonderful waiter and staff that told us about the Elvis history and kept the drinks and food coming! Definitely one of my favorites.

Food was awesome but not huge portions... top reviews were for the mole, but I got the nachos and found that I got more food that many people who ordered tacos.We got pitchers of margaritas to share, which I was also very happy with.     I did a takeout order for the first time on Tuesday and it was delicious!!! The tacos are prepared in a way where you assemble them on your own. That’s very clever and is the best route to go to avoid soggy shells from already prepared tacos, especially if bringing them home. It’s literally a Taco kit! The short rib enchiladas are absolutely amazing! The guacamole is fantastic. I have no complaints here. My mouth is watering as I write this review. I need more!!!

    My first time here the other night for dinner. When I got there it was pretty slow but within the hour things really picked up. The service was good and the staff were polite and kind. The restaurant was clean and had a nice vibe. Had the nachos and salsa and order of the Carnitas Tacos. The chips could have def used a bit more salt. The salsa tasted very fresh. The tacos were good. The meat was juicy. I would have liked the tortillas doubled up because they did start to break a bit from the juice from the pork.

    Love El Vez in Philly and am so glad we have a NY outpost. All of their food is great, especially their tacos and the Nacho Mama. Love theyre blood orange margaritas, too...theyre classic.     Went for dinner with my husband on a Saturday plenty of seats available we sat outside area and were very nicely waited on by Joshua. He recommended the guacamole which was amazing. We had steak tacos for 2 and they were delicious. Although my cucumber mint margarita wasnt served in a margarita glass the drink was nice however could not taste mint at all.
