    Loss for words. Keto friendly options and a wait staff that makes you feel like you are in a luxury resort and not being judged by the streets of New York. I ate too much. I drank just enough. And my company was phenomenal. I recommend the gluten sensitive mahi mahi tacos.....youll never be the same.

    Absolutely amazing food! Who would have thought that there would be such a hidden gem of a restaurant above a Hawaiian clothing store??!?!. The service was excellent too. I wanted to end the delicious meal (even though I was really full) with something sweet and the waiter came over and showed us what the desserts looked like and I was sold..and they even sell their desserts in half sizes! But the waiter was super nice - my friend was also too full and she didnt want any dessert... But he still gave us the full sized dessert (even though I only ordered the half portion) and then he later told us that the dessert was on the house! If youre in New York City, you should try this gem.

    I can’t say enough of how professionals everyone is. We were a group of 4 and I was celebrating my 20 year marriage anniversary. Orryn was our waiter and he had Eleonor who was receiving training. They both were great. Made us feel welcomed. They were friendly and had knowledge of the menu. We met Christopher who was the manager. We appreciate his hard work and his efforts to making our evening a special one. I have to also mention Kirby at the store who also went the extra way. I haven’t even mentioned the food. Everything we had was delicious: their famous coconut shrimp 🍤 as appetizers, chips with guacamole and salsa, the kona coffee crusted ribeyes was out of this world, the fish and chips, the burger and the mahi mahi tacos. The desserts were incredible: the pineapple creme brûlée and the chocolate lava or molten cake. So if you are ever in NYC and want to have great food and great service don’t go anywhere else. Come to Tommy Bahama.

    The restaurant is a surprisingly great place for lunch on 5th Avenue!During our walkabout we decided to take a friends recommendation and tried the restaurant atop this 5th Ave store. The staff was very friendly and I couldnt get enough of their home made tortilla chips.The menu was a great selection of fresh items like salads, bowls and tacos as well as burgers etc. The desserts are amazing! Especially the pineapple creme brulee.I would recommend this to the beleaguered 5th Avenue shopper who needs to chill and get off the street. Its ideal to kick back and take in the street from the 2nd floor or to just clear your head and have a relaxed escape.

    It’s been a decade since I last ate in a Tommy Bahamas restaurant, and it was in Orlando. I remembered the food being very good so I decided to do lunch with my colleagues at the NYC location. It didn’t disappoint. The decor was very nice and makes you feel like you are on vacation. The west coast and coastal vibe was appreciated. The menu was very good and the food was solid, tasty, good selection, and reasonably priced. We had the tuna poke, guac and chips, and fig and prosciutto flatbread as apps - all delicious. My salad with grilled shrimp as well as the fish sandwich was perfect. Service was good too, just the right level of attentiveness. I would return again as well as recommend to others. I think a lot of people don’t think about Tommy Bahamas the restaurant while in NYC.

    I stopped in yesterday on a blustery morning, drawn in by festive decor and a cool mannequin in the window. Great creative energy. I was greeted in such a warm manner and was immediately struck by what a cool, relaxed vibe the store radiated.A young saleslady with long dark hair spoke with me and & she was very natural. The Tommy Bahama style & energy seemed to lift my spirits. I saw some great men’s clothing with curious materials.I felt very comfortable. I can’t wait to come back!

    You walk into a vibrant restaurant with lively music. If you enjoy piece and quite after a busy workday this place isnt the place for you. The tables were about a foot apart and you can clearly hear your neighbor so that was a bit annoying for spending close to two benjamins for dinner service. Their world famous coconut shrimp was crunchy and delicous. Our main dishes which were the Chilean sea bass and Kona coffee crusted ribeye were one of the best we have eaten. When our waiter brought over the fresh dessert options, there was really no way to resist the pineapple creme brulee.

    I was shocked by how much I enjoyed lunch here. The menu is creative and has something for everyone. Really enjoyed the hummus and goat cheese appetizer, and the scallop sliders were unique, albeit a bit light on scallops versus the amount of bun. I got a large salad for my entrée with a piece of hake on top, which was perfectly cooked. Finished up with a large chocolate pie, which came close to putting me into a sugar coma. Service was super-friendly, but it did take quite a while for the various courses to come out. And my coffee cup was empty more than it was full. Stopped by the bar for a drink afterward and the bartender wasn’t the friendliest guy in the world, so probably wouldn’t go back there.

    Sat at the bar last night. Bartenders were friendly and efficient. Burger was awesome. Fries did come out a little cold but the food expediter (KM?) came back 2 min after I received my food and brought me fresh hot fries. I didn’t even say anything, so kudos to him for being very customer focused. It’s hard to find people who care these days.

    Very nice experience, staff was pleasant, food was absolutely delicious. Decor was appropriate for the restaurant, would definitely love to go back. If I have to say something that I didnt like, it would be the containers to go, they were not easy to handle, when I came home with my leftover halibut, the bag fell and the container opened and I lost my leftovers on the floor, that was sad as it was a delicious halibut.

    Clothing is colorful, beautiful and well made. Staff is professional, friendly and always happy to help. Ive not been to the restaurant/bar in Manhattan but have enjoyed a few meals and cocktails in their Scottsdale location so look forward to checking it out in NYC.

    The food here is excellent, and never disappoints.There are two things that bug me but not enough to stop me going back. One is that it always seems to be noisy, and two is that the tables are huge and so that, combined with the ambient noise, make it difficult to have a good conversation.Lunch draws a busy business crowd but service is always good.Also, fair warning to those with mobility issues, theres a spiral staircase to get up to the second floor which is where the restaurant seating is. I think theres a bar at street level but Ive no idea if they serve food

    It was a great experience here. The service was prompt and our waiter was attentive and personable. The dishes were all reasonably priced and seemed interesting. The decor is great, it really makes you feel like youre somewhere warm, wonderful and tropical.I had the grilled chicken sandwich, which was perfect. The burger my mother had was great as well. I cant wait to make a trip back here again in warmer weather!

    Went there for a birthday, loved it. In order to use the $50 gift card we needed to spend 100.. between 2 people! Nonetheless we managed to make it a four course meal. The seafood was cooked to perfection, the salad was very fresh and full of flavor. The mixed drinks are very tropical and make you feel as if youre on vacation. Overall atmosphere was truly relaxing, as the slogan implies. Even the desserts were great, and still somewhat tropical themed. Perhaps the most interesting part, is there is an optional stylist that can come to your table and help pick out clothes for you to try on.. totally free of charge. Would highly recommend

    Great restaurant featuring fresh fare that is reasonably priced, sensibly prepared and intelligently served along with tropical flavors and side dishes. The drinks are also mostly tropical but they offer a variety of alcoholic and kid-friendly drinks. Nothing much to complain about here, and the only issue with this restaurant is its mission is mostly tropical and as a result the menu is somewhat limited to tropical and related fare. Its great at what it does and their happy hour is solid. Nothing negative at all.

    Fast service. We ran into an issue with the steaks not being cooked correctly but after talking to the server a manager came out and a few minutes later and back with the steaks cooked correctly. They also gave us a drink on the house for the mix up. Very impressed with the way the issue was corrected. After that the food was great. We will be returning.

    We had a fabulous lunch. The menu has a wide variety to choose from and the location was perfect. We were shopping and to go upstairs to have lunch was great. The staff is very welcoming and attentive. For NYC prices, it was affordable for the prime location. Plus they have a rewards program for dining. Will go back.

    My coworkers and I went for a quick lunch and we were pleasantly surprised by the food. We had the loaded tots and I had the Cuban sandwich.     The store is a really well maintained store. Especially coming from a different location. Obviously this one has a bar, restaurant, and store connected to each other as a flagship should.As you walk in the main doors, a doorman greets you and opens the door for you to enter the lavish island-endless-vacation that is Tommy Bahama.The store is clean and the service is very fast and when there isnt a size on the floor of what you are looking for, they simply stay with you and use their communication system to call the stock coordinator to find it.And can you say free mimosas? The most interesting thing about the store IMO.Overall Id highly recommend checking the store out if that type of look is what you like.

    We came here by accident, luckily their food didn’t disappointing us. For appetizers we tried tuna taco and coconut shrimp. The taco served with raw diced tuna, which was fresh and delicious. The coconut shrimp should be their most popular dish, and indeed very good. For entrees and mains we ordered pork ribs, the recommended chicken and ribeye. The chicken was the best, and the other two were not bad as well. The PIÑA COLADA cake was okay for me, but my friend said it is too creamy with too many dairy. Also very lovely vibe and service.

    Bar downstairs when you walk in and upstairs is the restaurant with also a bar. At night around 5:30 they have live music and singer. The ambiance is totally symbolizes the brand. Big leafy plants everywhere, comfortable relaxing seating, bamboo accent and comfortable lighting. The food is different than any restaurant I’ve tried in nyc. I did the restaurant week menu and I would not recommend this. There are far better things to try. If you do restaurant week the short rib was to die for along with the pumpkin soup. The drink menu was extensive of zesty and tropical cocktails.

    This place is great! My husband and I had a early dinner here recently and we had forgotten how much we like this restaurant. The food is good - you wont be disappointed - but thats not what makes this place great. Every other aspect of this restaurant is fantastic.First of all, the service is arguable the best Ive every had in New York. Everyone was friendly and professional. For those of you who are not familiar with New York restaurant culture, good service can be hard to come by. At one point during our meal, I told our waiter that my drink (as speciality tea) was delicious - he offered to bring me the recipe so that I could make it at home. Also, the manager stopped by to ensure we were happy.The atmosphere is really nice. It has a beachy, Floridian flare that is expected from a Tommy Bahama restaurant. That said, its very clean and tasteful with nice tones and decor. There was also someone playing and singing live music which was really nice. The of course performed Cheeseburger in Paradise among others and said requests were welcome.The restaurant is also spacious - not tight like may restaurants in New York - and not too loud.It is a chain which some may turn off some but it didnt bother me. And the food is good but nothing to rave about.Again, if your someone who loves the beach and all things Jimmy Buffet, youre going to love this place. Its the perfect escape from the hustle and bustle of Midtown New York.

    I absolutely love this place! I call it a little piece of heaven in the concrete jungle. You feel like you are on vacation when you are at this restaurant. They have live music on weeknights which is an added bonus. The manager David is absolutely wonderful and made some excellent suggestions. Im a vegetarian and they were super cool about it and totally made changes so I was able to eat a bunch of things. It has a wonderful staff that greets you upon arrival and is willing to help with a smile.There is the typical flowery shirts and amazing fashion for the Caribbean look.Shopping here you can find unique presents and its nice Tommy Bahama has a completed line to show the higher class standard of the island. Its the maker of luxury lifestyle clothing and accessories. Using a wide range of quality fabrics and materials, Tommy Bahamas has fashion for men, women, the home and gifts such as watches, bathing suits.I bought a nice soft towel which proudly boasts the name of the brand.The restaurant:Comfortable setting as if you are sitting in Hawaii. The staff is beyond welcoming you to the restaurant. It felt like everyone was visiting our table. The host sat us and spoke a few minutes as he fixed our table that rocked a little.The waitress was cheery and came with a new vocabulary word each visit to the table. Water was poured. Free Friday appetizers came ! The meal was Kona Coffee covered steak. It wasnt as mouth watering as I would have liked.With no complaints and just a nice place--the next person was the manager and he welcomed us and invited us back with a coupon for Free Desert.

    I never expected to go to a Tommy Bahama restaurant in New York city, but this restaurant and bar really holds its own. The food, drinks, and ambiance are all great. Service can be slow at times, but overall not bad, and it is nice to not be rushed out like so many other places in the city. They also have enough seating that it is good for groups, which is hard to find in the city. I have been to their location in Jupiter as well which was also fabulous.

The staff is super friendly and even gave us a sample of the fried chicken while we were waiting. I got the sando with medium heat. Hands down bestt fried chicken Ive ever had! Soo yummy, cant wait come back to LA just to eat here again.

    I visited Tommy Bahama Bar last night. Despite the midtown, 5th Avenue craziness I really enjoyed the experience. There are two bars in the building and I sat at the bar upstairs. Follow the lovely spiral staircase up and hang a left.Happy hour is until 7p.m. including deals on drinks and appetizers. Starting around 7 p.m. there is also live music.The vibe was relaxed and great for an end-of-a-long-work-day drink. Our bartender was nice for NYC and incredibly attentive.Id really like to head back to this spot sometime. The only reason I didnt give Tommy Bahama 4 stars is ... it didnt WOW me. It was a very nice dining experience without anything extraordinary (excluding the service, that is hard to come by). I think if I visit again Tommy Bahama Bar may get 5 stars out of me.

    I was shocked at how much I liked this place! I assumed it was a tourist trap but it’s lovely. Beautifully decorated, relaxing, very good food, friendly service.     The busy view from the 2nd floor restaurant onto 5th avenue is made calm by the decor and music that Tommy Bahama puts on. Walk up the spiral staircase and youre right at the host station. We went on a Sunday evening so it was pretty quiet and not too busy.We skipped appetizers due to the time and ordered the filet, tuna, kids steak, and scallops over risotto. My steak came with cauliflower potato make which was superbly smooth and homogenously delicious. Tuna was seared as well as the scallops, both to a wonderful golden brown.Desserts included the richest chocolate mousse and butterscotch pudding. Both very good.Service was excellent, our waiter didnt need to write anything down and got everything exactly right.

    Very cool vibe in Manhattan. Food is spot on every time I visit. This is a very similar menu to the Naples, Fl restaurant (the first one) and I love them both. I highly recommend the coconut shrimp with an out of this world chutney and for something different, the Kona crusted ribeye steak. For dessert, I recommend the Key Lime Pie - light and creamy, not thick and solid. I always stop by when I am in town...

    This is a great midtown spot for lunch whether it’s a business lunch or lunch with a friend/s. The vibrant energy is great the food is even greater.     Awesome walk in either through the main building or bottom restaurant entrance. Wait staff was sweet and the atmosphere was modern beach. We were unsure what we would think. A very peaceful space. I think this was the best meal of my life and my friend agrees. We spoke about it multiple times since we’ve gotten home. The flavors were so well put together for the specials. She had a poke bowl and I had the peach salmon salad. Beautiful and exquisite mesh of flavor that we still remember. We wished we had time the next day to go before we left the city. We’ve both joked we should missed our trip home to have mother meal and I think we weren’t joking. We will absolutely have this as our staple on every visit from now on. Very clean space too we loved it so much and the quiet upper level and filtered lighting was perfect. We loved it so much we’d recommend anything off the menu without even trying it. Whoever the chef is … much appreciated. You’re doing amazing. Perfectly cooked. Delicate. And perfectly paired to make a great experience. I think this is the first time I’d ever say my meal was a 10/10 in every aspect of a restaurant.

    Tommy B is a nice upscale option for the corporate scene. Happy hour and lunch are solid options and very versatile. Where can you go in Manhattan and feel like you are in Florida. Love the scene. There is a need 1 more bathroom on the main floor Bar but if not just dont wait until the last moment. Receptionless approved for environment, food and drink selection. Love the scallop sliders, Yucca fries, and the chicken sandwich.

    Very enjoyable place, though you may not know there is a restaurant above the store. After trekking up the spiral staircase we were greeted by a lovely hostess and were shown to our table. There was a Jazz musician playing some tunes by the bar and wish I could have heard him a bit better where I was sitting.Using the secret code word that is available on the web we got the foodie friday appetizer sample of Coconut Shrimp. It was fantastic and will add to order the next time we visit.For the entree we both had the KONA COFFEE CRUSTED RIBEYE. Though cooked the way we liked there was really no coffee taste. The little salad and sides were also wonderful.Service was impecable, and when the manager came over to help clear the dishes I asked if he worked there cause he did not introduce himself. He laughed and said yeah and asked how was the dinner. After explaining the lack of some taste on the Ribeye he said he would look into it. He gave me his card with a note for a free dessert on our next visit. I am sure we will take him out on his offer.They are rated A and are OpenTable friendly.

    Tommy Bahama Restaurant is our new favorite spot for lunch in midtown. Its located right above the Tommy Bahama store and make you feel transported to the islands, until you see the midtown businessmen at the bar.We decided to share a whole bunch of different appetizers here. We were nicely surprised with the portions. They are big, delicious and unique. Definitely recommend trying: AHI TUNA TACOS, CHICKEN & MANGO SALAD,FILET MIGNON FLATBREAD, SMOKED BACON JAM CROSTINI. These are simply amazing.The prices are a little high but you get your moneys worth for sure! When youre ready for dessert, they will bring a tray of sample desserts to explain the ingredients of each one and you can see how they look! Unfortunately we were so full we couldnt try them but we are planning definitely to try them next time.

    Tommy Bahama makes you feel like youre right back in Hawaii. The food is out of this world. I highly recommend the coconut shrimp and mai tais. The waiters are also top notch.     My family and I are big fans of the Tommy Bahama restaurant! The ambiance is great; it feels like you’re at the beach, but you have a view of the city so it turns out to be a cool vibe. The service here was really good and attentive, and we got our food quickly, too. We had chips & guac and coconut shrimp as appetizers, and the coconut shrimp was extremely good. For my entree I had the wagyu burger, and it might have been one of the best burgers I’ve ever had. Not only was the quality of the meat great, the sauce and other toppings set the burger apart. For dessert we got key lime pie, pineapple creme brûlée, and chocolate mousse cake. All three were good, but I think if I had to pick a favorite, I would choose the chocolate mousse. You can’t go wrong with any of them, though. I definitely need to make my way back here at some point.
