Much prefer coming to this gem of a café for delicious coffee and the fresh variety of salads, bagels, sandwiches, and desserts.No doubt some people prefer over-paying for their commercial chain coffee at other places along with pre-frozen powder egg sandwiches over small businesses. Why all the small business hate?Love this place. Hands down my favorite.Been coming here for years.Staff is always friendly and polite.10/10

Great sandwich & coffee spot. Was working in the area and swung by for a quick lunch. Firstly the staff was great. As for the food I got the Italiano panini (chicken pesto) a coffee and a muffin. The panini was fresh and delicious, all the other sandwiches look great. The coffee was also solid. Would definitely recommend this place to anyone in the area for a quick bite or a good coffee.

I’m sure there are better option for food and service (they forgot my coffee and the avocado toast was burnt) but the people are very nice and coffee was excellent. The atmosphere is quiet and comfortable.

I ordered everything bagel with cream cheese and my cousins ordered chicken focaccia, mozzarella and cheese, pies and it was truly delicious.The coffee is good too. So much variety of coffee, smoothies, freshly made shakes, pastries, and more.

I love this place it’s been here forever and has always been so lovely inside, nice staff, quick turnover and the food is just perfect. Their salads and sandwiches are superb - I have tried other spots closer to my job but they just don’t do it the same. I don’t think I’ll ever stop coming here.

We loved the bagels, coffee and supporting cast of fruit, granola etc. Very New York experience and coming from Brexit Britain a bit more affordable than some places. The service let it down a little though. The guy taking the orders was obtuse in not understanding what we wanted and missed one order entirely. But that was sorted and I suspect we will be breakfasting there again tomorrow for convenience and quality food.

I make this a breakfast priority! They have wonderfully flaky croissants and good made to order breakfast sandwiches. Also they have the best cappuccino in the area too. And even though there are several places in the area to get coffee, Champignon is far above the rest.

I go to school next to champignon, me and my friends cant wait to go eat there, they have an amazing hot coffee and sandwiches. Everything is fresh and tasty. I admit to being addicted to their egg white wraps with crispy bacon and avocados.

I was stay by this cafe while my mother was at Mt Sinai for surgery. Id get a Tiramisu Mocha, that was delicious every single time. Cant go wrong with anything on their menu from breakfast to lunch. Staff members were always friendly. I remember one girl who greeted everyone with a smile and a friendly hello.

Ive been in this neighborhood for a long time, but Ive never visited this place before. I regret not doing so earlier because its a lovely little spot with exceptional food and service. For instance, when I accidentally dropped my wallet on the floor, a member of the staff named Carlos Camacho picked it up and called me the same day to let me know it was found at the cafe. Anyone whos lost their wallet knows how much this means, and I was grateful to find everything intact when I went to retrieve it. Carlos adamantly refused any kind of reward or gift, saying it was simply good karma. I hope that karma comes back to him soon.

After coming here for years, I am finally leaving a review! Champignon is my go-to anytime I am in the city. My son and I grab a smoothie, a coffee, or a fresh lemonade and head to the park with en egg sandwich wrap or a delicious pre-made sandwich (made fresh everyday!). They also have the most mouth-watering desserts: New York cheesecake, red velvet, cannolis, cupcakes, cookies, and too much more to list! Did I meantion their iced matcha is better than the rest?The staff is warm, friendly, and get to know you by name so fast!Thank you for our yummy and healthy lunch today and more days to come!

Ive used Champignons catering for a number of events. They are always on time, efficient when taking the order, and the food itself is beautifully presented, high-quality, and delicious. They are the first place I call for events ranging from 25-100 people. I have never been disappointed with the service, and dont suspect that I ever will be. Highly recommended!
