    Really cool quirky spot. Bartender Alex was super cool,.friendly makes you feel at home...lots to.see and talk about in here. Polaroids on the roof, plenty of patrons doing tullamore dew shots. Recommended a local beer too.

    I bring my team here for post fight celebrations since it is located right around the corner from Melrose Ballroom. They can accommodate our group size, have great bar food, there’s Guinness on tap, pickles backs and friendly bartenders. What more can you ask for?!

    Love, love, LOVE the vibe here! Everything is so on point, from the amazing service to all the awesome pictures on the ceiling and the crazy stories they tell. Definitely worth the visit and drink. Make sure to try out their challenges to get your picture on the ceiling :)

    I discovered this place on the same day I lost my apartment to a fire in neighbors unit. Cold and broken -- i found this gem to bring warmth back to my life. I call this sort of a establishment a dive bar PLUS which translates to just my kind of place. They had great local options on tap. Bartender was super friendly. There were nuts on the ground! A proper time indeed. And theres old tap handles on the ceiling, never seen that before. The food was also phenomenal and the atmosphere had a welcoming, communal vibe. Perfect for snagging regulars. Will be back to say hi to Dolly Parton.

    The food here is EPIC. Its elevated bar food but they do it SO well. The chili has no right being that delicious!! Great beers too. I seriously want to try everything. On top of that, the service is great, very friendly and efficient. Just a really good vibe all around.

    This place is amazing! Jeannae is amazing, and so is Baer! I wish Id gotten their info for when I come back to town! The food is awesome, especially the wings.... absolutely the best. Great suggestions on other spots to tey out while visiting. I wanted to grab a shirt while I was in town, but didnt have the chance. Next time for sure!

    I used to work right around the corner, this quickly became my coworkers and I favorite spot for after work. Great Beer Selection and the bar tenders are great people. I no longer work around the corner and my ex co workers and I still make our way out there. Great spot!

    A small but homey bar that has tvs and good music. The spicy bbq wings were great, well worth the messiness. Thankfully, the bartender provided me with a paper towel roll. Frito chili pie was a peculiar dish. Not my cup of tea but A for creativity. Black & grey drink was recommended by the bartender and it was pretty interesting with its Earl tea flavor. Nice little pregame before attending my event

    Wow. I felt like I went to a family reunion from the moment I walked in. We got a 5 star lesson on the proper way to drink a Guinness . Followed by Shots shots shots and then shots of darts in back room. My time there was limited, but that 90 minutes was as fun as watching a Marvel Movie 🎟️ . Next time Im in the area I will definitely return. I suggest you do the same. Oh yeah the chicken wings were meaty and delicious as well. 🍗

    Cheapest drinks I have found in the NYC area. I was with a group of friends in NYC this past weekend and stumbled across this bar. The bar is a dive bar and is very casual. Dont need to wear anything fancy coming here, just wear some jeans and a t shirt and you will fit in. The drinks were great and affordable compared to most of the other bars in town. The free peanuts were very nice to munch on while at the bar. The bar tenders were very nice and accommodating to us. We ordered so many drinks the bartender gave us at least one or two drinks for free which was nice. We happened to come on ladies night which is on Thursday, highly recommend for the girls! Ladies just pay $10 at the door and they have all the can drink beer, wine, and long drinks from 20:00-24:00.

    We were looking for something new someplace different. We stumbled upon the Mad Donkey and loved it. Atmosphere and bartenders were great. Food and drinks were great as well. Their signature Mad Donkey wings were awesome. Nice place to go have a drink and conversation.

    Really enjoyed the staff here sat at the bar with the friend of mine And the bartender was very accommodating he gave a several hot sauces to go along with her with our meal. The food wasnt Anything to talk about my friend had some type of Chicken salad roll sandwich or something like that end It was dry the hot sauce hot sauce pairing Was the highlight and the bartenders attitude was very pleasant

    Very Cheers type of place. Most people that go here know each other and its fun to be a part of. Not a fancy bar, by any stretch, but its comfortable. They have a fun contest too where you can drink every beer on tap in one sitting and youll get your picture put up on the ceiling. Fun local place!

    Had an absolutely fantastic time here on Sunday night. Just a great neighborhood-style dive bar in Astoria. (Note: We now live in Texas, but used to live in NYC.)A group of us from Texas had just finished with a friends wedding and we were looking for a place to have a drink and catch up. Sunday Night Football had just finished and then the crowd started filing in.Bartender was awesome. I mean, you know anyone wearing a NY Jets jersey in this day and age has to be a legit fan. Very friendly staff. Great drinks. Good selection of beers on tap.Wife and I will definitely recommend this place to all our friends in NY and anyone visiting.

    Went there for the 2020 Superbowl. I had two long island iced teas and shared a fish bowl. Ate some delicious donkey wings then blacked out. I woke up later that night and was pleasantly surprised that I didnt spent all that much money. And the people were nice too. They have a cute little back area for sports watching.

    Went for vacation to New York and a friend of mine loves this place. Tried the triple appetizer which was phenomenal and also did the pretzel after a couple drinks and that sober me up quick! Great music, fun ppl. Definitely will go back!

    I travel a lot for work and there is always a question about a good place to eat and hang out. Often the safe, but boring choice, is to stay with chains.mim glad I didnt. The Mad Donkey is awesome in its friendly atmosphere and its food. The owner Tommy is invested and passionate about the business and all--in-all this place is my home away from home.Youve got to go.

    The Mad Donkey is a great spot to go for an inexpensive lunch and a beer, or an after work hangout. Service is friendly, I always feel welcomed and that my business is appreciated. Paddy never lets you out the door disappointed.Too bad my company sent me to another office so I cant get back much anymore.

    We were there back in September 2016 and we promised we’d write a review. It’s a little late... oops. Anyway, we were visiting from PA and looking for a place where the locals might go... and as luck would have it, we found the Mad Donkey. Tommy was awesome... he introduced my guy to Tullamore Dew, which remains a favorite to this day. We still talk and laugh about that night and will definitely be back on our next visit to the area.

    If you miss that old-fashioned NYC style bar, then youre in the right spot. Simple enough to enjoy the decor and the atmosphere, peanuts galore and shells must be thrown on the floor, No Exceptions....lol. The bartenders are friendly and attentive, and they make you feel like a regular. So stop by scan the QR code, order some of the tasty finger foods on the menu, and get a cold one and then sit back and enjoy another one. Been there, done that, got the t-shirt, but in this case, Ill be back for another Guinness Draught.

    Cool little dive bar! My boyfriend and I stopped in here for some wings and beer after we went to another place nearby that was closed. The wings did not disappoint! We took the bartenders recommendation and got the donkey (spicy bbq) and it was delicious! The wings have so much meat on them and they’re cooked perfectly. So glad we found this place! And AC the bartender is so nice and friendly. The owner Patty is also very nice! Great experience, we’ll definitely be back soon :)

    Ive been there twice so far and I absolutely LOVE it! Me and my girlfriend mostly go for the wings. Which the wings are absolutely AMAZING.     Great little bar to go hang out. The bartender makes you feel like its your own local go to bar which is excellent hospitality. It was my first visit and I felt like I was a regular there. The live sports are on with multiple TV screens (except for MLS as they dont have apple tv) and it also has darts in the back room. They serve free great quality peanuts that you need to peal which makes them safe to eat. I ordered the chicken fritters and they were decent for bar food but need to try more things to come to an actual conclusion. This may not be for you if you have a peanut allergy. Overall a great bar in LIC with good deals on drinks & music.

    Been here several times and everyone behind the bar has been a delight. Even when I show up after work, all the bartenders have been upbeat and hilarious to say the least. Also, take a chance to look up and see all the taps and photos. The place is great for some obscure cans as well. AC, Cooper and Bear behind the bar will have you enjoying conversation and a drink before you know it.

    Cheap beers, Tullamore Dew on demand, and great greasy bar cuisine. Half Irish pub, half Wild West saloon where you are encouraged to throw the peanut shells in the floor (we pay someone to clean that up!). Paddy is the man. Clientele and bar staff are always friendly and welcoming to everyone. Hard to stay here for just one drink.

    First time in Queens and staying nearby. Patty was so friendly, and even the regulars were chatting us up. The food was delicious, and the prices are reasonable. Felt like a bar back home in Wisconsin. Will definitely be back while were here!

    Fantastic burgers. $12, but they are excellent and cooked to order. Comes with fries that are pretty damn good as well.They also have a few challenges that can earn you a Polaroid of yourself on their ceiling.Music wasnt too loud and you can actually hold a conversation. Bartenders were good-humored, attentive, and all-around great.Recommended!

    Went in for a beer and some food while my car was being serviced. Beer selection was average/below average, but the wings people talk about were as good as advertised. I expected them to be derivative and generic, but I was super impressed. Anytime my car needs service and I need to wait for a bit, Ill be going back.Crowd was thin because it was the afternoon, but they seemed local and about what youd expect.

    This was a nice bar to come to. The music was great and they never let my beer glass see the bottom, but the young man who I paid my tab to actually showed anger when I hopped off my barstool and extended my arm to pay.He said I needed to put my mask on 2 feet from my chair. I had to minus one star for that. Yeah, its policy and all but no anger needs to be present on that. Work on it.

    Wow, what a sweet bar and grill! A great treat for this Wisconsinite on a trip.In a few short days in Dutch Kills (LIC’s best neighborhood) I found myself at this spot almost every night. And that’s because it’s such a great community watering hole. The staff and patrons were so nice to a random out of towner in a way you don’t find everywhere for that great comfortable friendliness where sarcasm is encouraged.The tap list is solid, food is hearty, and the space is warm and inviting. I’m not sure what else you’re looking for in a bar, but this is a special place in my book!
