    Staff kindly let us bring our bikes into the covered patio to enjoy a post ride burger. Burger was good but nothing amazing and for the price point (granted I know I am paying a lot by being in Lincoln square) I was expecting more. Pretty good all in all. We came at a quiet time, around 3 pm, so it was relaxed and a nice ambiance.

    This restaurant is located on the upper west side and has a nice lunch special, which costs only $21. Id say food quality and price kinda match. When I write my reviews, I try to be more considerate, especially if I am not paying a lot. Thus, you can have a causal lunch or dinner at this restaurant without having high expectations.The lunch special lets you pick between a chicken and vegetarian soup. Then, you pick two sides among couscous, fries, and vegetables. The main dish has steak,meatball, chicken, and salmon options.

    Staff was very attentive -Thank Adrianna!- great selection of cocktails. Tapas are excellent portions to try multiple small plates. The mushroom croquetas are to die for. Very recommended!

    This place was AMAZING. The drinks were BEAUTIFUL.. those lamb sliders are so good I cant wait to go back for just them. I think they could benefit from putting mashed potatoes on the menu because having my salmon with French fries was a bit GHETTO and the fries were over cooked and nasty.. And the garlic shrimp were also delicious but could benefit from a good side... But I will be back for the lamb sliders

    Absolutely delightful experience at Ella Social UWS! The craft cocktails are simply divine, each one a masterpiece of flavor and presentation. Pairing them with their delicious tapas was an absolute treat. Margarita with black salt is one of the best around! The ambiance is cozy and inviting, perfect for a night out with friends or a romantic evening. I had date night here and returned for business dinner. Highly recommend for dining in the UWS! Lamb chops were superb, as are MOAB burger and chicken soup. Very delectable sardines, chicken, octopus and brussels all done well.

    Yummy UWS brunch spot next to Central Park! Loved the Florentine benny, def recommend ordering a carafe of sangria for the table. Walked in with a group of four at 1pm on a Saturday and were seated immediately. Service was speedy and attentive, would definitely come back if I was in the area.

    I went here because it was near a breakfast place I wanted to try but was too busy. Lucky me, it was a great experience. Our server was very friendly. The food was really good and the pancakes were the best I have ever had. I would definitely go back. I was a little disappointed that the menu was relatively limited for brunch.

    My husband and I stumbled on Ella Social after catching a Saturday matinee. The ambience is warm and inviting and the service is outstanding. We thoroughly enjoyed the pulpo, croquetas, empanadas and chorizo. Extra love for the chimichurri!!! The sangria was perfect! The soups were a bit underwhelming but overall it was a great experience. Would definitely go back.

    The food was excellent. We had 7 plates (sea bass crudo special, skirt steak, mussels, octopus, charcuterie board, & brussel sprouts, and french fries). The octopus and the crudo were the stars. The drinks were good and the service was attentive but not overbearing. The atmosphere was lively and the variety in seating was cool (indoor, outdoor, Hightops and lowtops).

    Had a great experience at Ella Social. Cozy and clean. Sat at the bar and had lunch special. The soup plus lemon chicken were tasty. Very friendly staff, Karla was my waitress and she couldn’t be any sweeter and attentive.

    I love Ellas! Ive come for breakfast and brunch, for lunch, for dinner, and just for drinks. Any time of day any day this restaurant is awesome. Come for the bottomless brunch (for only like $20 or $25/person, steal!). The lunch is good but the dinner is certainly where its at.Awesome atmosphere (especially when it warms up and you can sit outside) the staff are always really friendly. Sometimes the service can be slow, but if you just call someone over they make sure the speed things up.The margaritas are okay, but the sangria is going to want to make you order another glass or two.I love that Ellas is in the neighborhood and close by home. Certainly have been there many times and will undoubtably be back soon.

    Friendly staff, good burger and tasty lemon chicken. Drinks were mixed well but they didnt coat the rim of the glass with sugar for the lemon drop martini nor they splashed a drop of grenadine in the lychee martini. Minor things that you can overlook but not enough to drop or deduct an overall rating of the experience.

    Met up with my cousin for brunch. We sat inside since the outdoor dining was crowded. The staff was friendly and attentive. Mimosa and sangria good was good. Shashuka and Norwegian were delicious especially the rosemary potatoes. I prefer my English toasted. They serve them on the softer side.

    Ella Social has a great ambiance and serves tapas style food and fresh cocktails. We love eating outside on the patio when the weather is nice. They have an excellent lunch special under $20 which includes an appetizer (soup or salad) and a main dish of your choice (salmon, chicken, etc.). I chose the gazpacho and salmon. The gazpacho was excellent with the perfect amount of vinegar, although I usually prefer my gazpacho to be a little thicker in consistency. The salmon was well cooked and served with sautéed vegetables and roasted pepper quinoa. I found the sides to be over salted, hence the 4/5 star rating, but the flavors were there and salmon itself was delicious. Overall, I definitely recommend Ella Social, especially for their lunch special which is a great deal.

    We visited twice, breakfast and lunch. The baked eggs with spinash and goat cheese was extraordinary. It is cooked with fresh cream so i wouldnt recommend it for those who watch their weight. Also the burger and memosa were yummy.The place is homey and cozy and the service was good and fast.I will defiantly go there again

    Probably one of the best omelettes I’ve ever had! Can’t remember the name but it was a veggie omelette filled with either feta or goat cheese. The only downside of this place is they don’t have espresso drinks, just drip coffee.

    Had the lunch special and it was well worth it. The salmon was cooked perfect, the veggies and couscous were very good and I enjoyed the chicken soup that had a lemon kick. Nice atmosphere, I sat on the patio in December and it was comfortable. Nice attentive waitress and overall a good experience. Would definitely return to try the other lunch specials. You can’t beat it.

    The best brunch experience I have ever had in all my 30 years of living in NYC. The food was incredible, the drinks were strong, and the hospitality was amazing. We started with the delicious guacamole tartare. My husband had the Argentinian baked eggs, which were very tasty, and I had the Norwegian Benedict, which was flavorful beyond belief.That said, I have never had a waitress made me feel so at home than here. I highly recommend this place for anyone looking for great food, drinks, service, and ambiance. Honestly, I would give it more than five stars if I could (I know, very cliche) and hope you feel the same after dining here, as well.

    THE BEST RESTAURANT ON THE UWS! The food is truly spectacular. The service is unmatched. This is a gem! You need to come here and give them your loyal service.     If you’re ever in the mood for tapas - Ella’s Social is the spot. Take a break from NYC and step into this Catalan inspired joint for some great eats and drinks.Ella’s draws a fun crowd, so expect it to be “social” especially around happy hour. Resy’s recommended unless you’re just trying to swing by the bar.Iconic and dependable, the sangria is excellent. Not too sweet yet packs a punch. Food: can’t ever go wrong with the patatas bravas, pulpo (grilled octopus), the sizzling shrimp ajillo 🤤, and my personal favorite the pan roasted cauliflower.These WILL be TAPAS! Like correctly small portioned authentic tasting well cooked meant to be sampled and shared tapas. It’s surprisingly rare to find that in NYC, but Ella’s will immerse you in the Spanish definition of “socializing”.Suffice it to say this wasn’t my first time here, and there’s a reason I keep coming back year after year. Absolutely love this place!

    Perfect Spanish meal. Jamon, pimientos de Padron (not the real thing of course, Padron is very far away, but these were very well prepared,) good Manchego cheese, boquerones, yummy Spanish wines and olives. Friendly staff whos actually Spanish, and a pleasantly decorated room. ¡Estupendo!

    Have eaten at Ella Social a handful of times. This restaurant is small inside but has nice outdoor space and is always packed as what seems is at every point throughout the day. They have great lunch and happy hour specials with reasonable pricing during both settings. The food is solid here. Ella Social is definitely a great neighborhood restaurant to visit.

    Nice place for breakfast. Like all restaurants they are hesitant to give out open seats claiming they are reserved but 6 tables stay unoccupied 1.5 hours after you enter and sit in the corner somewhere.Coffee was cold amd took a while to arrive.Pancakes were awesome.

    Tapas were very tasty and had a good list. Get several and eat family style. The staff was pleasant and easy to have a conversation which is missed when offering a recommendation on the experience as no one wants to yell at a meal as if you where at a night club.

    Fantastic staff, super friendly and are truly so patient. The food was delicious and there were many options. This establishment is very clean and the decor is lovely. We found street parking near by. We’re seated right away even without a reservation. Our waitress was the best and we had the nicest interaction with her. We didn’t wait long for our food and checkout was a breeze. The French toast is amazing!

    Ella has all of the warmth of a neighborhood spot and, yet, always feels like a special evening out. The care taken with each item of food and the creativity of their craft cocktails, along with the perfect atmosphere, make me a very happy (way too frequent!) regular at this gem of the UWS.Most special, though, is the incredible staff (and owner!) and the familial community among them, which they graciously extend to every patron that crosses their threshold. Go to Ella to get a cocktail made by the incomparably kind and expert Martha and a delicious, well-deserved meal after a long day…and then repeat over and over again. I’ll probably see you there. LOVE ELLA!

    I had the most amazing night there last fall. I went there to change my work environment, sat at the bar around happy hour, and ended up sitting at the bar for probably 4 hours chatting with the most amazing bartender (Guidermo... I’m probably spelling it incorrectly) and his other customers who come all the way from Queens and other places far away to have a drink with him. What a welcoming bar. I was always planning to go back when I was there, I’ll definitely go again next time I’m in NYC 🥂

She was attentive, kind, and made sure we were well taken care of throughout our visit.     Ella Social has a cozy, inviting atmosphere with some phenomenal tapas and cocktails.Its a bit more expensive than wed hoped, but thats usually how tapas spots work! It would have been 5 stars without the seemingly over-priced options, still a great spot.The sliders were our favorite dish; so much flavor! The Brussels Sprouts were also a tasty option.Great spot to come before a show at the Beacon Theatre.

    We came here for date nite dinner before going to the Beacon Theater. The staff were very charming and knowledgeable about the menu. Our waiter made some good suggestions, we went with some of them and were not disappointed by any of them. The wine they suggested when perfectly with our meal. I would go back again.

    Ella is an amazing experience. It is a great place that does Tapas proper. We discovered Ella on accident but will return every trip to New York. The croquettes and Gambas Ajillio are in the top #3 we have had all over the world. We have been to hundreds of spots throughout Spain but Ella has some of the best we have experienced. The service was wonderful and we were well taken care of and the level was very attentive.Ella is a magical spot that does their quisine perfect.

    Super attentive and accommodating! Not to mentioned great brunch. Get the baked eggs or shakuka🤤We had my sister’s kids with me, two under the age of 4 and they happily accommodated to make sure we had a high chair and space for the stroller.High recommend eating at Ella’s!

    Dinner here was incredible! We ordered croquettes, shrimp, and mussels to start and a seafood paella for the main course. Highly recommend all of these options. The food came out quickly and all of the servers were extremely friendly and helpful in making suggestions. They have a great wine selection and cater to everyone’s needs. The entire time every waiter/ bartender had their face masks up and were happy to answer any questions. We felt very welcome here and will for sure be returning

    Comfortably small. Big enough to accommodate, but I wouldnt take a group bigger than 6. Outside seating available for the warmer months. Warm cozy feel to the place. Even on the outside. Constant refills on water. Waiter checked on us often without being overbearing and was very friendly. Every item we had was delicious. 3 of us shared the sangria which served us 2 glasses each. The prices are reasonable. We did not have a reservation, but we were still seated quickly. I now know reservations are preferred. I wish I had taken pictures. Next time I definitely will.

    Ive been to Ella at least 4 times and it never disappoints. The menu has a decent variety and the food is consistently delicious.At this point, weve sampled most of the menu and honestly EVERY dish is good.Personal favorites include: chimichurri empanadas, brussel sprouts, and any of the octopus dishes.My only complaint is the pace of dishes feels a bit rushed for a tapas restaurant.     Great food, excellent service,.. what a wonderful find! This was my first time eating here and everything was fantastic. The pizza was fresh, hot and delicious. There were so many choices it was almost difficult to decide. The Italian cuisine was traditional and a real treat. Yes, you are able to order adult beverages, and there is a nice selection. I consider this place a hidden gem.

    Went out of their way to sit our party, which had 4 adults and 3 kids. Even though the place was packed (always a good sign), they were able to seat us inside within 10 minutes.     Walking along Columbus and happened upon this restaurant. Not a vegan or vegetarian place but great options for both. The cauliflower dish was excellent. If you love garlic this is the dish for you. Potatoes with Brava sauce was served piping hot and fresh. My partner had the avocado toast, also very good. Served with side salad and fries. Equally as good as the tasty food were the cocktails. I had two mezcal based cocktails, one with cucumber and one with ginger syrup both excellent. If you prefer a bourbon based cocktail then try the Camille. Service was very good and a lovely atmosphere.

    Always a great spot to get brunch. They have a 2 hr unlimited brunch and they are quite generous with their drinks. Their cast iron eggs (I forget what it is called) is absolutely amazing. Would recommend that to all. Their eggs Benedict is great too, but their cast iron one is a lot more uncommon in the city!

    Went for brunch and got the hour of bottomless brunch cocktails which had a couple options. It was packed but had more room then I expected for a NYC restaurant. Tight but not cramped.     Great food, friendly service, food prepared a la minute, they adjust for allergies and preferences. Its a nice space and the decor is pleasant. The only problem is the music. They have terrible speakers that they blast beyond their capacity. The result is just loud noise; you can hear a beat and high tones but have to guess what the music is, except that its usually EDM. So too loud and totally wrong music. They should switch to lounge music and jazz and get an array speaker system.

    Actually, 4.5 Stars but I rounded up. We’ve been here twice for dinner and liked it both times. Hint: if you decide on small plates, order two and then when they come, order one or two more - otherwise, they all come at once which makes for a very crowded table, and some get cold before you get to them. We really liked the mushroom croquettes, the empanadas and the roasted cauliflower. The calamari was nothing special. My bourbon seemed like a really small pour. Her Cabernet was good. Not a bargain but prices seemed typical. By the way, there is a big picture of a topless women on the back wall. I thought it was beautiful, but I suppose it might make some people uncomfortable.

    Ive been going to Ellas for lunch fairly regularly for the past few months and can recommend it highly for the laid-back atmosphere, friendly but never overbearing service, and inexpensive meals: Avocado Toast (of course); Hummus Toast; and (my favorite) Baked Creamed Eggs (when you dont mind and few -- hundred? -- extra calories. The wine selection is small but well-priced and they give you a good pour.But Ellas is great for dinner as well. Here its a Tapas menu, with slightly larger than usual portions. In a dinner for two to share you might choose three small plates rather than four at most other Tapas places.

    Had the ella empenadas and was not disappointed. Definitely some of the best empanadas I have had. I had to return the first set because it had aioli and Im allergic to eggs.     Even in my sandwich-eating days, i was never a huge fan of sandwiches. That is, until I got one here. The fresh and high quality meats were piled on a huge, fresh hoagie roll for a mere handful of bucks.
