    The food is on par, pretty straightforward. The brunch special is worth the price for the alcohol, however the food leaves little to the imagination - the portion size is mid-small, the taste is adequate. However the shining star of my visit was the server Jazz, she was very sociable, very agreeable and frequently checked on us to assist us with our unlimited brunch drinks and keeping the energy lively and entertaining. I hope Kanu treats her well, as she made my groups brunch excursion one to remember!

    Came to Kanu today for some drinks & good eats. My cousin and I sat at the bar and was attended by Joel the bartender. He is very sweet and patient! He was able to take care of us in a timely manner. It was a little slow but our have no doubt about him handling a busy night. Drinks we had was coconut margarita and a classic. Shrimp tacos could use a little dazzle dazzle with flavor and sweet chili wings tasted more like sweet wings. Overall good calm vibes on a weekday.

    Great experience. The brunch was so dope. Birthday celebration we had here and it went great. Wished the waffles were actually red velvet. We thought they were and it was just food coloring, which was very disappointing. The red velvet cupcakes definitely wouldve be SOOOOOOO good lol. The brunch was worth it. The drinks came flowing and they catch up to you pretty quick. Definitely worth the visit. The DJ was A1 with the tunes as well. She kept doing hit after hits. We had an amazing time. Our server was excellent as well

    Amazing food. Great service. Even better atmosphere!I absolutely loved coming into Kanu BAR. The wings and lobster Mac were to die for. I couldn’t be happier with the experience! I totally recommend on any night.

    When I come I always look for Nani. She has a beautiful personality and she makes amazing drinks. I recommend Kanu to all my friends to come see Nani. Her service is great. If you need a nice atmosphere and great service come see Nani. The food and drinks are a plus.

    I damn near lives in KANU. Drinks proper s/o to Olivia best drinks hands down and that rum punch is a knockout. Chef Edwin never fails to please from appetizers to entrées. Tacos chicken wings sweet potato fries and Caesar salads are the faves. Dont 4get to try the mac n cheese its delicious, sorry no photo cause I demolished it both times.😋😋😋

    Came out to Kanu for a Friday night drink with my bestie. The music is a vibe, atmosphere is a plus, and the drinks put a cherry on top. I will be coming back. Definitely added as one of my top 5 spots to decompress. Valerie was our waitress. She was awesome and offered great hospitality.

    I’m a regular customer and have never made a review. Tiffany was so attentive and friendly. Made me feel welcome. Was my Bestfriend first time and she had a great time during Karoake. Def recommend if you want a good time atmosphere. The crowd is welcoming and exciting. Food is good. Can’t beat it & happy hr is great pricing. Make sure you pull up ❤️

    4 stars because i love their wings ..Garlic Parmesan and fish tacos. Great atmosphere does not get overly crowded. only thing that I’m not happy about is hookah is $50 for Love and $40 for regular tobaccos during happy hours, which use to be $40/35.Rum punch is perfect for the evening and you can’t go wrong.

    We went here on a Saturday afternoon. The food was just OK. The lamb was not tender at all, but grilled nicely. The sauce was really good, but you had to fight with the meat way too much. The cheesy grits were amazing but the fried shrimp lacked a little bit of seasoningreally good and the customer service was good as well. It did take a bit long to come out considering they were only three tables occupied but overall I would give it another shot.

    Wow, I came to this restaurant yesterday for a girls game night and I must say I will be coming back ONCE A WEEK. In Harlem there aren’t many places like this where you can get good food, good customer service, and beautiful. I look forward to coming back. I attached some photos of what I had. My friends had the jerk tacos and they said it deserve 5 stars as well.

    Brunch for my friends birthday and it was a great time! Jazz was our server and she made sure we knew all we needed to about the spot! The chicken was GREAT (not dry , sauce was on point!) exactly what we needed and the Dj was great to keep the vibe going. Definitely a good, reliable spot.

    We came in after 10 PM on a Friday and night and such a vibe in the middle of Harlem. We walked right in to a seat at the bar and thank goodness we did! Anissa, the bartender, made our night!     Visited here for Sunday brunch to celebrate a family members birthday brunch on a Sunday afternoon. I usually go to Brooklyn (because BK is a vibe.) but this spot is definitely a cool spot. Great vibes. Ordered the akee bites, which were yummy. Our server was Paola, who was just a delight. She was point, responsive and pleasant. I would come back again and recommend Kanü.

The bartender clearly knows what they’re doing!For appetizers, I tried the patties and the truffle fries, and it was fantastic—flavorful, fresh, and beautifully presented. The portion sizes were generous, making it easy to share with the group.     I’ve been here many times before. The place is cool. Nice drinks good food, But most recently I was turned off by the service. It seems as though when it’s packed it’s harder for them to focus on the customers needs. I waited 15 to get asked to place an order much less greeted. Walked up to the waiter and she didn’t even acknowledge my request to order. The manager watched me from afar and still no help. I ended Up leaving to go somewhere else.

    Jada was wonderful-she took great care of us! Great happy hour prices for drinks and food. Food was very good! We got a bunch of happy hour menu items tacos, patties, wings. All of it was great! The oxtail was pretty good! I’m Jamaican so I’m a pretty tough critic, but I was pretty impressed, especially considering how hard it is to find good Jamaican food in Manhattan. Will be coming back!

    First and foremost the food was great. Loved the various choices of Caribbean styledcuisine offered. The aesthetic on the inside is most pleasant so you and you’re friends would enjoy eating in. Last but not least the employees are wonderful. As a whole they were all so sweet an very attentive to our needs and wants. I had a great experience at Kanu and definitely will be back with more friends.

    Not bad for a neighborhood spot.Me name, new management. The waitress we had wasnt attentive as I thought she should be. The first round of drinks day at the bar for at least fifteen minutes. We werent given a good menu until we asked for it.Other then that, the did portions look sharable, hooka is available (cash only), the music was mostly hip hop & R&B as well as alternative music. Very relaxing atmosphere.

The drinks are good as well if i must say im not too big on margaritas, but i was that night 😅. When you visit, you must try the sweet chili wings and mac and cheese. theyre the best 🤤

    It was such a great experience i would definitely go back. Hillary was an amazing host! The service was amazing. The DRINKS HIT ! The bottomless definitely had me and my friend lit. The hookah was good as well. We went on Saturday and there was a live Dj she was so good. The vibes were lit. The food was okay. Hillary suggested the chicken and waffles but we got the steak and eggs for brunch. The steak and eggs were really small and it was served with scrambled eggs which was a little odd.     Came to NYC for a quick visit and went to Kanu with some of my cousins. This is an amazing spot in Harlem. Nice chill vibe with great music, hookah, and food. Our server V was great! She was very attentive and friendly. If I’m ever in town again I will definitely come here again.

    Love the service and the servers are really dope. We have weekly get-togethers there and the ambiance is amazing. As for food, I like the spinach rice, and the rasta pasta (with the chicken). Slightly priced higher than other places but the food is good so worth the extra few dollars. Ask for Adelphi or Yami, both are attentive, patient, and be sure to tip then. Once they have an official alcohol license, Ill upgrade my review to 5 stars.
