We had a wonderful experience at Rosevale Kitchen! Beautiful restaurant! Incredible service and food! We purposely selected this restaurant as it was in walking distance to the Broadway show we were seeing. We got the pre-theater dinner, which is a three course meal and it was amazing! The hostess made sure to mark down the time we had to leave to make it to our show, and we had plenty of time. Plus they made sure to note any allergies. I highly recommend the shrimp cocktail for a starter. We both had the steak and I’m sorry there are no photos, but it was so delicious that we devoured it! It was cooked to perfection! Be sure to get the Bernaise sauce with it as I am still dreaming of this meal. For dessert, we had the chocolate mousse and it was so good! You will not regret coming here! The one thing I will note is we were surprised that it cost 11.00 for water as this wasn’t shared with us but then again we are out of towners so not sure if this is typical for the area.

Great ambiance! Delicious food and drinks! Everything was timed perfectly and I had a wonderful sit-down meal with my friends! I would definitely come back again.

Love this place! The service in the restaurant and cocktail lounge was superb. The Amish chicken was soooo good! The vibe is energetic, jazz music fantastic. Will definitely return.

Yesterday, I celebrated my birthday at Rosevale Kitchen and had a wonderful experience. From the moment we arrived, the host greeted us with a warm and friendly welcome. She was so lovely, setting the tone for a great evening. The food was delicious! We ordered from the Restaurant Week menu, starting with a shrimp cocktail and Caesar salad. Our main dish was the steak au poivre with mac and cheese and fries as an extra side (we didn’t realize it already came with potatoes and roasted tomatoes, oops! LOL). For dessert, we had a vanilla and salted caramel gelato. I should mention that the steak was lukewarm, but we didn’t care to complain. Despite that, the food was packed with flavor and beautifully presented. The mac and cheese was a standout, definitely my favorite! The atmosphere was cozy and inviting, making it the perfect setting for a special occasion. Our waitress was incredibly attentive and friendly throughout the evening. She made sure we had everything we needed and even surprised me with a lit birthday candle inside of my dessert topped with a piece of chocolate that said happy birthday. It was such a thoughtful touch that made the night even more memorable.Overall, it was an amazing dining experience, and I would certainly recommend Rosevale Kitchen to anyone looking for good food and service!

Enjoyed a great visit here where the hostess kindly let us start at the cocktailRoom upstairs before dining. The server was friendly and timely, perfect for our rush to catch a show. The tuna tartare shined, though the duck was a tad overcooked. Despite this, the attentive service and ambiance make it a recommendable spot. Looking forward to returning!

Came in on a Friday evening with a few friends and I truly enjoyed my experience. We were seated quickly and I ordered the rigatoni pomodoro and was pleased with my meal — the rigatoni was al dente and the pomorodo sauce was brilliant. The portion were a bit small but thankfully my friend ordered the tuna tartare and the burrata, so we were satisfied in the end.My friend also ordered the spaghetti which came with shrimp and my other friend ordered the burger which came with fries.I know there’s supposedly a great cocktail area upstairs, but I don’t drink alcohol so I did not go up there.

  • Review 7 (2024-11-11 - Rating: 5)

Really good burger! A solid $16 glass of Prosecco and lovely little Broadway details in the interior. Underrated spot for a pre-show meal !

  • Review 8 (2023-08-16 - Rating: 5)

LOVED the brunch in the secret garden! Really enjoyed the Wanamaker make your own cocktail to start! The Balthazar pastry basket was delicious & very fresh. The banana foster French toast was sooo good & filling. Really liked the side dishes as well. The atmosphere is upscale and pleasant with chill music playing and the decor is amazing!

  • Review 9 (2024-06-03 - Rating: 5)

Beautiful restaurant with multiple areas available for dining that is perfect for brunch with the girls, a dinner date with someone special, or after work wind down. The ambiance was relaxed but lively, the food and drinks were delicious, and the staff was very courteous, friendly, and attentive. I went for brunch and had the Rosevale omelet and the banana foster french toast to eat, and eurydice bellini and lychee cosmopolitan. They offer a bottomless option for $38 but I was unable to enjoy it because I arrived after 3.

  • Review 10 (2024-01-22 - Rating: 5)

We had the most wonderful time. It’s the perfect pre-show dinner as they can get you in and out within an hour if you need. We enjoyed the price fix for restaurant week and it did not disappoint. Steak was cooked to perfection as well as the Branzino (extra crispy). It was wonderful to be so well taken care of, in addition to this, we had wonderful conversations with the manager and our server. Also had the best mocktail ever (most are horrible and too sweet) this tasted exactly like a negroni, such a gorgeous depth of flavour and delicious in general. What a wonderful spot and a wonderful find, so grateful to have been to this place and I so look forward to coming back. Thank you so much ✨💖

  • Review 11 (2023-01-26 - Rating: 5)

The space is just amazing, first floor is the kitchen & dining areas with a lovely retro atmosphere. The food was great, tried the steak tartare which was exquisite one of the best tartares I’ve ever had, very well seasoned. Then the steak frittes & duck were delicious as well, the meatloaf I didn’t really enjoy it had too much sweetness & not enough depth for me. Then we headed to the bar upstairs for drinks and ended up by the rooftop bar “Starchild” really nice vibe again, they have one of the best views of the city & make sure to make a stop by the disco 🪩 ladies room it’s a pretty cool one! Overall it was a really great experience and we’ll definitely be back.

  • Review 12 (2023-06-09 - Rating: 5)

Really yummy food and super nice staff! I loved how the place looked, the ambiance was stunning. My favorite was the sea bass and the lobster rolls! They were so crispy and the espresso drinks were delicious as well.

Was a great dinner in the theater district. We had a Pulsd voucher. Cecilia was our waitress. Very polite and attentive.we had 2 apps and the gnnoci and steak frites. 2 deserts and 2 glasses of wine Ambience of restaurant was aesthetically pleasing. And the 2 nd floor cocktail lounge was beautiful with live jazz band after 9 pm. Everyone we encountered had smiles and a gracious hello. We will be back again to enjoy once more!Thank you

  • Review 14 (2024-11-15 - Rating: 5)

Everything was on point. This is a nice hidden gem for pre-theater. Good pre-theater fixed menu too. Beautiful interior, excellent food, friendly service. Very close to most theaters. And its not loud, like other places. Go here.

I arrived today at the hotel after a long day, and I was starving. I was tired and wanted a good dinner near the Civilian hotel. But I found what I was looking for and even more just in the Civilian hotel. The Roswvale Kitchen is a must-visit. There are two criteria for a great restaurant - delicious food and excellent service. You can get both in the Rosevale Kitchen. Thank you for making my evening nice and testy

  • Review 16 (2023-10-03 - Rating: 5)

Loved my experience at Rosevale Kitchen. The cocktails and food was great. The botanical decor gave me sexy jungle vibes. Everyone was so friend and fun. 10/10 would recommend!

  • Review 17 (2022-11-20 - Rating: 5)

Very cool space! We are at the restaurant before a show. Great drinks! the Cocktail Room looked swanky. The server asked if we were seeing a show that evening (we were) and she made sure we were checked out in time. Good detail to pay attention to in the Theater District!

  • Review 18 (2024-08-15 - Rating: 5)

Delicious, varied menu. Kind service by a charming, quirky fellow. He was attentive and refreshingly courteous. I highly recommend a visit! We were a group of six, and he treated each individual with care! Great prices for mid-town!

We had the tuna tartare, shrimp cocktail, branzino, steak, panna cotta, and chocolate mousse. Everything was excellent. Also tthe atmosphere was great as well 10/10. We were able to have conversations. They really outdid themselves and we are coming back!

  • Review 24 (2024-07-09 - Rating: 5)

It was our last night in NY and we were staying at the same hotel so decided to dine in. The food was good and atmosphere was lovely

  • Review 25 (2022-12-03 - Rating: 5)

The lighting is good. Not too dim, not too bright. So it’s cool for a date. I got the hanger steak, medium. Came out right which I appreciated. Got the skillet blondie thing for desert that was crispy but soft inside with a vanilla gelato situation on-top which was A+. Got a seat in the back booths which felt really private.

  • Review 26 (2023-08-18 - Rating: 4)

Great service and great vibe. It was Thursday night but wasn’t too busy and food was delish! But portions were quite small.

  • Review 27 (2024-05-07 - Rating: 5)

Went for my sisters birthday brunch and from the moment we stepped in, the host and staff took good care of us, thank you so much for making it memorable!

  • Review 30 (2024-10-27 - Rating: 5)

This is a cool spot that has a different vibe on each floor (3 floors total). I ate dinner on the first floor which was amazing and so was the service. On the second floor is a cocktail lounge with live music and light bites. Then, the third floor was a rooftop. So theres something for everyone to enjoy. What I loved the most is the entire place offered a late happy hour. Ill definitely be back to visit on my next trip to New York.

  • Review 31 (2023-09-24 - Rating: 5)

Long story short, this place is fantastic and their management is clearly striving to bring the best upscale hospitality to a very busy neighborhood. Great food, craft cocktails, excellent service, live jazz, and all set in a fantastic theatre-inspired locale. As a bit of background, supporting businesses in our neighborhood is always something my husband and I like to do. Living in Hells Kitchen there are a lot of interesting options choose from, but earlier this year coming upon the Rosevale Kitchen and Cocktail Room (in the Civilian Hotel) we were thrilled. Great location in the theatre district, walkable from our place, excellent design and architecture, and easy access to transport when other friends joined us there. We quickly became regulars at their happy hours, we hosted birthday dinners for friends there, invited work colleagues for drinks, and brought out of town guests on numerous other occasions. Classic craft cocktails were great (especially the Negroni varieties!), service was excellent, and even the prix fixe before a show was well-timed and affordably priced. So we were frankly disappointed when we invited some friends one weekday evening and had a less-than-stellar evening. There were a few hiccups with the service that night, and although I rarely respond to surveys directly from an establishment I felt obliged to after that time since all of our previous experiences had been so stellar. I was incredibly surprised to get a very nice, polite, and genuinely concerned email from their management team. Ive been lucky enough to live in London, Tokyo, and now NYC and had a lot of interactions with hotels, F&B directors, and fine dining restaurants due to work -- but never actually had this type of real back-and-forth with management that took time to listen to our concerns and then tried to properly act on them. Very, very impressed. A few weeks later was my husbands birthday so we took them up on their offer to try them again and come back for dinner at the Rosevale Kitchen followed up with some drinks and live jazz in the Cocktail Room upstairs. They were kind enough to set up our reservations that evening and it did not disappoint. The manager came over to introduce himself to us, apologize for the previous issues we had had, and said if we needed anything to ask him directly. Very impressed that he was tracking our reservation and made such efforts then and throughout the evening. The server was also excellent, taking very good care of us. The Wagyu Cheesesteaks and the Shrimp Cocktail were great starters, and the Steamed Black Bass and the Orange Duck as mains were also excellent. Sharing their Blondie Sundae for dessert also hit the spot. They kept the drinks coming and checked in on us a few times to make sure we had everything we needed. When some other friends messaged us that they were nearby, we asked if they could add a couple more to our reservation for jazz afterwards and they quickly sorted that out and were kind enough to give us the best seat in the house. Upstairs we had a lot of fun trying various cocktails, listening to live jazz, and chatting with the very friendly staff. All in all a fantastic experience; we were very impressed that they went to such lengths to create the perfect evening for us. It definitely made up for the previous bump in the road we experienced and we will certainly continue be regulars. Rosevale is definitely a real gem.

A great pre-show spot for a great meal in a lovely setting. We ordered from the prix fixe menu, and our party greatly enjoyed the trout and the steak. From the cocktail menu, we can definitely recommend The Play, they also have a nice wine list. The service was attentive without being intrusive. The Cocktail bar upstairs looked like its also worth a try.

Brunch here was amazing!! I’m in love with their French toast, avocado toast, and grapefruit dish! The secret garden is beautiful, definitely elevates the brunch vibes, and the champagne experience is such a fun idea—I felt like a bartender, able to make my drink as boozy as i wanted ;)

My daughter brought me to Rosevale for my birthday dinner. What a treat! We were warmly greeted and enjoyed a meal of elevated American standards. Chef Loren and his team are awesome. Teresa was an attentive server and made sure we had everything we needed. Fernando makes beautiful cocktails. And adorable Jorge brought me dessert with a candle and sweet wishes (he doesn’t sing). Esther made sure we had a wonderful time. It was a lovely evening and nice way to spend a birthday. Thanks to Alex for the backstage tour before we left. What a cool space and amazing views!

Very nice Restaurant, nice staff But a Little too unattentive… the waitress walked By my table several times before clearing it. Both of my Dishes had a lot of garlic inside, for my personal Liking too much. Everything Else was very good and i Could have a quick Dinner before attending a Broadway Show

We stayed at CIVILIAN over a weekend and had dinner TWICE at Rosevale, it was that good! There’s probably not a bad thing on the menu! Tuna tartare, roasted squash, crispy cacio e pepe zucchini, along with bread as starters were delish. The manilla clams made a great light entree and the Atlantic cod dish was simply outstanding. Vibe is buzzy and chic. Music was a little loud Friday evening for dinner, but the food was so good we got over it. Staff is all so friendly! Extra thanks to mixologist bartender Edson! He’s great with drinks, dinner suggestions, and city recommendations.

Delicious food! The steak tartare was probably one of the best I have Had, so much flavor. We also got the shrimp cocktail, lobster Mac and cheese, and the duck and they were all amazing. The place is so cute and the drinks are so creative. Can’t wait to go back and try more items on the menu!

  • Review 48 (2024-10-28 - Rating: 5)

Rosevale is a great theatre district option. Before shows we are always super hard-pressed to find a place in the neighborhood that is any good. Looks like finally we have a winner!Every single thing we ordered was delicious. We had the bread, the chicken, the branzino, the gnocchi, and the chocolate mousse. Particular highlights were the chicken with panzanella and the chocolate mousse. Yum! Such a pleasant surprise for a random hotel restaurant in Hells Kitchen lol.The room is very pleasant, although maybe a bit basic. The service was great - super attentive and friendly.Highly recommend!

I spent New Years eve here and all I can say is wow! What a trio! If youre looking for a restaurant that has top notch quality and service, this is the spot! Their take on the steak tartar is incredible with its infusion of jalapeño and spice. Then the rooftop with its phenomenal view and then the cocktail room on the second floor was the perfect compliment to an entire night. Ask for Stevie hes a true mensch.

Loved the place! I was staying at the Civilian hotel and had no plan exactly to try the hotel’s restaurant since they are usually decieving and pricy. Decided to try it on my last night in the city because I heard that it is a hot spot for the locals and was positively surprised!

The manager, Christian, ALSO went out of his way to make sure my friend and I were taken care of. I felt very safe and appreciated here. The food was outstanding and the cocktails were out of this world. I wish I could say more about our experience but honestly, I just have to say WOW. We had brunch in the secret garden room that I had reserved. I loved the room with the garden ceiling and open airy space. I was actually surprised it was not more crowded in the space. We were a table of 4 friends who had not seen each other for years so we spent a long time chatting before ordering.Though our waitress was not the friendliest, she was patient with us.We ordered the unlimited boozy brunch and the Bellinis were delicious! The omelet I and my friend ordered was good though a bit small for the price. It did come with crispy potatoes but they were honestly like the kind of potatoes that come from a frozen bag from the grocery store in my opinion. I was disappointed there was not any toast or fruit that came with my omelet or even toast for the table. I could have ordered the pastry plate for the table but I really just wanted a piece of toast! Overall the food was just ok but the atmosphere was perfect for catching up with friends.

Found this place on TikTok and loved the idea of their 60-minute dining experience before a show. The staff were very accommodating and the atmosphere was neat. Definitely want to go back to the rooftop lounge in the future. The timing of the meal was a bit odd, as we didnt get our main meal until 45 minutes into the dining experience, but that may have been because they were very busy. The food was good.

A beautiful and relaxing atmosphere and the prix fixe menu was a great deal. We were touristing and we wanted a good meal in Times Square. Heres your spot. The branzino was delicious.

Really awesome experience! Food was delicious. Went to their brunch and walked away so pleased. Got the Banana Foster French Toast and the Rosevale omelette and both were great. Homefries were the perfect crispy outside and the french toast was insane. Will definitely being going back. Plus, they had a great deal for a boozy brunch that is another reason to return.

Casual dining room with terrific theater Prix Fixe menu. Good value and lively atmosphere. The bar is great for specialty craft cocktails

My friend and I dined at Rosevale Kitchen this past weekend for dinner. We got the lobster rolls to start which I highly recommend. For our main course we shared the Rosevale Burger and got a side of the spinach. Both were very delicious. The service was great, and our waiter was very attentive. Awesome spot in the theater district and they also do a Broadway Pre-Fixe Menu. Will definitely be coming back soon!

The steak and Mac and cheese was outstanding! Let alone the amazing service that this place has to offer! The ambience was the classic New York style I was looking for! I will be recommending this to anyone that is looking for somewhere to dine! My husband and I went over to a broadway show right after because of how close this restaurant is to that area! This is a new regular for me!!

Came here for bottomless with a few girlfriends and its safe to say we enjoyed ourselves a lot… delicious food too!

Well proportioned servings, ordered the $52 deal for one hour, included a ceasar salad app, a steak main, and a cheesecake dessert, as well as a steak tartare app of the regular menu. I shared this with one other person and the servings were well enough proportioned that it was enough. The drinks on $15 cocktail menu were absolutely delicious, although the prices were above 15 each for it on the receipt. The genderneutral bathroom downstairs was lovely, as well as the colorful disco themed private rooms upstairs on the rooftop bar. Generally great decorations (paintings and plants) and very friendly service/staff!

Had a wonderful dinner at Rosevale. The food was delicious and the service impeccable!! We had a show to catch otherwise we would have stayed and enjoyed the rooftop after dinner. We’ll definitely be back, it was the best food in the theatre district that I’ve had ever!!

🇪🇦 We spent Thanksgiving there and both the service and the food were great, it made us experience something similar to what a traditional Thanksgiving dinner is but with a restaurant presentation. Everything was delicious and with very homemade flavors. Of course, it is not cheap compared to Spain.
