Great atmosphere. Went for a really early birthday dinner on a Sunday. Food came out fast, was delicious, and the ambiance was great. Highly recommend the Mac n cheese. I also recommend the ribs as they were finger licking good. My table had the peach salad, gumbo, and jambalaya. Everything was good. -

Had a group of 22 dine here and everyone was really pleased with the quality of food and amount. The ribs melted in your mouth, beautiful branzino and heard rave reviews about the steak frites. Only negative was the spinach dip being very spinachy, but I enjoyed it, so it may be personal preference. Our cocktails were good but very much on the sweet side. They really accommodated our group well - first in the bon courage speakeasy and then up on the balcony for dinner with a live jazz band! You cannot beat the atmosphere! Id go back for sure. I had genuine comments at the end about how much everyone enjoyed themselves. Very reasonable prices for groups as well - family style! -

Amazing hidden gem experienced!!! I met my girlfriend for an early dinner at 6 pm, and we sat for four hours, just eating, savoring, and chatting up. We will definitely be heading back there for 2025!! -

We had Gumbo, Jambalaya, Catfish Burger & Charbroiled Oysters, everything was super yummy & perfect except for the tiny oysters. But they’re delicious! We loved the French fries, just perfect!!Beautiful restaurant. Great service.Definitely coming back. -

Rare for me to give 5 stars across the board, u tend to reserve that for the places I appreciate most in any particular trip. Weve ate at some great couples well in New York but this place is a hidden JEM! A bit of the south tucked into a beautiful looking corner spot with outside seating. The gumbo and jambalaya were both wonderful. The drinks were great and the price is reasonable. -

The Hostess was very gracious and gave us a table away from the cold door. Major plus. The service was excellent and server was very attentive. Food was very tasty. Ribs fell off the bone. Desserts were great. Beignets were great 👍. An additional plus was the 3 piece band playing, making it feel like New Orleans -

Indulge in Tribeca, NY Cajun cuisine inspired by New Orleans vibrant culinary scene. I had their Gumbo & Jambalaya, so fire 🔥 delivers on creole flavor. The restaurant has a balcony with live Jazz Muscians performing that resembles the French quarter of New Orleans flair. Mardi Gras dancers and a speakeasy downstairs (try Cream Brulee drink) with karaoke 🎤 which I loved and sang all night#nyceats #nycfoodie #1803nyc -

Stopped by this cute bar for happy hour / drinks after work! Drinks are yummy, atmosphere is very adorable and super cozy spot! They also had happy hour specials and $2 off drinks. -

Came for a brunch on a Saturday, and the decor & vibes were phenomenal! There was live jazz happening on the upper level, which delightfully elevated the ambience/energy for sure (albeit a tad difficult to maintain a conversation while having your meal). Among the things that we got, Banana Foster French Toast and Spinach Artichoke Dip were our favs, they were so delicious! Hoping to go back and try other dishes sometime :) -
Review 10 (2024-08-19 - Rating: 5)
Five stars for the effort to offer vegan jambalaya and vegan steak. All the dishes we got were pretty good especially the gumbo soup and the Niçoise salad. Lovely wallpaper too creating a lively setting. -
Review 11 (2024-08-29 - Rating: 5)
This is a fantastic restaurant! The food is excellently seasoned and the best I have ever tasted! I’ve been to New Orleans twice and the atmosphere and service here is superb! Brings me great memories! I definitely recommend and will bring more family and friends over! Love it! -
Review 12 (2024-09-06 - Rating: 5)
We actually ordered the Niçoise salad and escargot which we inhaled before taking any photos, but we managed to take some of the catfish sandwich which was delicious! The seared tuna in the niçoise was cooked to perfection, and the vinaigrette was perfectly balanced for the dish, the cajun on the escargot was just spicy enough!Additionally the staff stood out as very friendly and kind, and the food was brought out very fast!Chilled vibes and nice music, would recommend if youre in the area! -
Review 13 (2024-06-24 - Rating: 5)
The vibe is gorgeous, especially at night, and while I remember that everything we ate was delicious, I have to say that it was all eclipsed by the beignets. I will travel for delicious beignets, and this place has them. If youre looking for somewhere with great atmosphere to impress guests, the decor here has a lot of visual impact. And for the record, their website is fantastic and has photos of all the food on the menu, which is just great for doing your research beforehand. -
Review 14 (2024-09-11 - Rating: 4)
The food is casual yet nicely presented. It was jarring to have sales tax added at the end, so it ended up rather expensive. It’s a pretty space, but very busy (to be expected at lunchtime in Lower Manhattan). -
Review 15 (2024-09-08 - Rating: 5)
I just had the signature gumbo with rice which was delicious! It was just what I was hoping to find. The service was excellent and the atmosphere was great with the festive music! The gumbo is highly recommended! 95 -

Beautiful quaint restaurant with a vibrant vibe. Limited seating, but there is good outdoor seating on a good day. The food and drinks were delicious. My table ordered ribs, jambalaya, and spinach artichoke dip. The wait staff was nice and respectful. When we went there one time, they were recording a reality TV show, which was cool. -
Review 17 (2024-11-11 - Rating: 5)
Fun taste of New Orleans right in the city! The food is inspired by Cajun and Creole flavors, and one tasty dish you must try is the Seafood Gumbo, which is filled with shrimp, oysters, and sausage. The place has a lively atmosphere with music and special events, making it a great spot to enjoy time with friends. The drinks are also really good, adding to the fun experience! Overall, it’s a wonderful place to dive into some delicious Southern cooking! -

My family and I were celebrating my birthday. The food was really great. In addition to that, the server was attentive and very nice. She cared to our need. We had a blast. -
Review 19 (2023-09-17 - Rating: 4)
Great place to get Creole food. I had the vegan jambalaya and the jerk cauliflower tacos. My partner tried the jambalaya with chicken and sausage. The vegan jambalaya had pineapples and cashews which added a nice flavor to it. The tofu in the vegan jambalaya was the star! We also had the bread pudding for desert and I would definitely recommend it. Overall a great place for dinner. -

My husband and I loved this restaurant a lot!The food was amazing, the cocktails were really good, the service was friendly, and it had a nice vibe.Be careful with the size of their small plates and appetizers because they are quite big. I ate the Signature Gumbo soup, which was listed as Appetizer, but I was actually full after having it. My husband couldn’t finish his Niçoise salad as it was quite big, but he wasn’t too hungry either, so it was his mistake as well))Totally recommended! -
Review 21 (2023-08-15 - Rating: 5)
I don’t know where to begin on how wonderful my friends and I ate at this restaurant. We seriously underestimated how great this restaurant turned out. Everything we had from the drinks to dessert was extremely delicious. My friend ordered the Hurricane. He liked it very much. I ordered the Summer Sangria. It was very yummy. My other close friend ordered the Purple Reign. She liked it so much that she ordered it a second time. Then came the appetizers. Honestly I’ve never had Creole food so I was really excited to try it and my anticipation paid off. My friend ordered the Gumbo. We all completely fell in love with it. We literally fighting each other for the shrimp. Lol! The Gumbo was so good that I ordered a second plate to take home. I ordered the Jambalaya. Seeing that it was my first time trying it I really enjoyed it. My friend ordered the XO noodles. He really liked it. My other friend ordered the Bouillabaisse. She savored it. She loved dipping her bread into the sauce. I noticed how generous the portions are. The Gumbo can be a meal in itself. We all took our leftovers home with us. For dessert we ordered the beignets and the bread pudding. We all agreed the bread was the hit of the entire meal. It was so delicious! Our server was extremely nice and attentive to us. I can go on and on of all the great things about this restaurant. I can’t recommend this restaurant highly enough. Everyone should experience it for themselves. -
Review 22 (2024-12-30 - Rating: 5)
From the moment we walked in, we knew we’d made the right choice—especially after leaving a restaurant where half the entrées weren’t available. The vibe here was on point, and the food was amazing.I went with the Jambalaya and was more than impressed. My friends had the gumbo, my hubby got the steak and frites, and my other friend tried the shrimp and scallions. Let’s just say all the plates were spotless! We all thoroughly enjoyed our meals and couldn’t have been happier that we decided to leave the other spot to give this place a shot. We’ll definitely be back! Big shoutout to the hostess—a stunning Black woman with glasses—who greeted us with such warmth and made us feel right at home. Highly recommend this spot! -
Review 23 (2022-12-07 - Rating: 5)
My mother and I came here for lunch after riding the vintage holiday train. They let us into the bar because it was really crazy packed on a Sunday afternoon. They were nice enough to also, let us put our names down for the table and then they moved us to the table as soon as our meal came.It is a New Orleans style restaurant, with a balcony up top and they play live music on Sundays. They have Lots of smaller tables surrounding a bigger bar. I think the largest table I saw sat six people. You do require reservations to come here so keep that in mind. You can also sit on the top balcony as well. It’s a good spot for people watching. The place is really bright and happy. I love the pink and green colors across the walls and it does feel like you are in New Orleans. We tried the gumbo which was excellent and a large portion, the jambalaya which is really meant for 2 and the bread pudding which comes with an outstanding salted caramel ice cream. For drinks we had the all or nothing and it was pretty strong! All the food tasted authentically creole and was super delicious. Come with a large appetite! The whole meal with tip was $100 for 2 people. I would definitely recommend this place and I will be back :) -

Food is awesome and reasonable price. All staffs are so kind. You can see beautiful outdoor seating.Live music is good but so loud. If your purpose is enjoying music, it is goos choice. But if you want to talk each other, you have to reserve outdoor seating -
Review 25 (2023-04-05 - Rating: 4)
We came here for Sunday brunch. We shared the Mac and Cheese which had a unique tangy flavor. I ordered the shrimp, chicken, and house andouille sausage Jambalaya. The portion size was very generous and next time I would order it to share. My friends both ordered the Crawfish Cake Benedict, which were inconsistent - one order came out perfectly and the other order was overcooked. My friend sent it back and when it came out the second time it was undercooked and very runny to the point my friend didn’t think it was safe to eat. There are lots of other options on the menu, so maybe skip the Eggs Benedict and order something else. We shared the Coconut Lime Pie with bourbon whipped cream. I would come back again as I enjoyed everything that I ordered. I didn’t get to try the Beignets, but look forward to trying them on a future visit. -
Review 26 (2024-10-21 - Rating: 4)
This was new type of cuisine that I tried. I enjoyed some of the dishes and the other ones weren’t right for my pallet. The portions were very big even the appetizers were like a full course. They were playing live music upstairs and it had a nice interior. However, the service was very slow in getting our orders, bringing us water in general. -
Review 27 (2023-09-17 - Rating: 5)
One of the best places in NYC for good food, good service and live music. The charbroiled oysters were delicious, full of butter sauce on a bed of lettuce and bread. Excellent!Gumbo was very good as well. The shrimp Po boy es good but could have more shrimps. TheThe begnets were good but it could be a bit lighter and fluffier.Overall Ive if the better modern Cajun food. Prices were reasonable. There were outside seating and beautifully decorated restaurants. On the mezzanine is where a small band would play.Protip. Weekends there is live music. Check with the restaurant for times. Reservations are needed. Its busy. We went late lunch after 2.30pm and there was no waiting. -
Review 28 (2023-10-21 - Rating: 4)
Overall rating: 4.2I’m a bit particular when it comes to NOLA restaurants in NYC. I have been searching for a charbroiled oyster that tastes exactly like New Orleans for the last 6 years. I’ve been close to finding a spot in LES, but the price was outrageous.I’ve been here at night for a drink and it’s very lively and cute. Coming back for food at lunchtime was a bit of a different experience. In my opinion, the Mac and cheese was not seasoned well. Had a nice little kick, but def needed some salt and pepper and maybe old bay 🤔 didn’t love it, didn’t hate it.The charbroiled oysters were good. The seasoning was very good! That said, they could have been broiled a bit more. It was missing the char taste I’ve been longing for.If you haven’t been to New Orleans these are very good. If you have, they’re still good, but they are not it. The space is soo pretty and I feel like this is a great spot to hang with a group of friends. Not sure if the pricing is worth it to me, but I can see why it’s crowded with tourists. -

Decent happy hour but well drinks were a bit watered down. The burger slider was good. Nice vibe with a live band that wasnt too loud. Service was great, waitress was nice. Will be back to try their regular menu items. -
Review 30 (2021-12-14 - Rating: 5)
Service was great. Very accommodating and prompt. The drinks were creative and so tasty that I wanted to try them all. Food are still great after my third visit here. During my last visit on a Sunday afternoon, I was pleasantly surprised that they did brunch. I will be back again with even more people. For my birthday, I was given a list of places to choose from and I chose this place. Glad I did. -

Barbie and I stopped here for my best friends birthday. The food and drinks were amazing. Specifically the drinks. Absolutely gorgeous ambiance and decor. Outdoor seating on the NYC streets. The oysters were decent. The fries smacked. I will definitely go again for drinks! For more reviews or review request, find me on most platforms as @melissasktheartist 😁 -

Pretty decorations on the outside. I walk in and the smell of the food and the drinks is amazing. I only got French fries. Why? My family and I were looking for a place for our kids to use the bathroom on a Sunday. Way more difficult to find in this neighborhood than I ever imagined. They lets us use the bathroom no hassle and I had to get French fries at least because the place smelled so good. -
Review 33 (2021-07-10 - Rating: 4)
Loved this place! The ambiance and live music were lovely touches and the food was on point - great raw oysters and wonderful fried chicken. During our dinner a table on the floor above spilled a drink that proceeded to fall on us in the booth below. Not certain much can be done about this but maybe some gap coverage to prevent leaks in the future? Service was great overall, however, and would definitely come back! -
Review 34 (2024-10-27 - Rating: 4)
Stumbled upon this restaurant after going to a haunted house. We didn’t have a reservation but were able to sit at the bar right away. It’s a cute restaurant and noticed there is upstairs seating as well but the counter is wide so it’s enough space to eat at the bar if you don’t have a reservation. Surprised it wasn’t that busy on a Sat night so it was a bit odd that it took quite some time for the bartender to come and take our drink and food order. She was more attentive at cleaning the bar and cashing out their tips than wanting to take orders. Our favorites were the signature gumbo and ribs which we shared as apps. It was so good! The meat fell off the bone and the two hot sauces they give you goes so well with it. The gumbo along with the rice was so rich and tasty. Since we enjoyed the apps so much, the entrees were a bit underwhelming. The beignets were really good and def recommend to end the meal. -
Review 35 (2022-05-01 - Rating: 5)
A friend was raving about this place so a group of us decided to have a birthday brunch here today and it didnt disappoint. We had a lovely time. There is outdoor seating but we chose to sit inside on the little balcony. The decor (which I dont usually comment on) was fun, and they also had live jazz which was wonderful and they sang happy birthday to my friend. Now for the food:The pitchers of passion fruit mimosas were great. The roasted Brussel sprouts devine. I ordered the poutine which comes with (melt in your mouth) duck and fries, gravy, and sunny side eggs. It was great. The Mac and Cheese also included herbs which was interesting. Not bad just different.A friend ordered the vegan burger which was delicious but has a spicy sauce which was a bit too spicy (so beware). The chicken and waffles were good but its only served with dark meat so if you prefer white try the chicken sandwich instead. The pulled pork sandwich is very good and so where the fries. The scrambled eggs were good, fluffy and yet creamy. The biscuits came steaming hot with butter and jam definitely try them! Finally, our waitress (Ena/Ina) was amazing, she answered all our questions and even asked if anyone had allergies. She checked with us regularly, gave great suggestions and tips, and even helped plate the cake we bought from a local bakery.Overall a great place to go for good food and live music. Definitely add it to your list -
Review 36 (2021-08-28 - Rating: 4)
Loved the ambience and indoor decor of the place. Cocktails were great. The live band on the balcony is good entertainment. We got the jambalaya (a favorite of the place) but was disappointing it lacked spices and proper flavor like true creole cooking. Also got the friend chicken meal which came with boneless chicken resembling tenders (was expecting chicken in bones) so that was a let down. The biscuit it come with was more of a fresh baked dinner roll. Charbroiled Oysters for the appetizer were excellent . Would def come back for cocktails and the vibe of the place. -
Review 37 (2024-03-02 - Rating: 5)
Was recommended to try this place from a friend and it did not disappoint.I had their catfish sandwich with French fries and those fries are definitely made from scratch. My friend and I shared the brussel sprouts which were perfectly cooked and full of flavor.Their cocktails are mouth watering and I quickly downed my gin based drink. We’ll be back for that brunch menu! -
Review 38 (2021-10-23 - Rating: 4)
Highs: Baked oysters, Gumbo, **Sweet potato mash, Bread Pudding. Not so much: Cajun escargot was a like gamey, Duck breast was a bit over cooked.Overall the menu items that were good, were so good that they outshined the lows. **The Sweet potato mash, was the best Ive ever had, it was very fluffy and tasty unlike the usual hefty sugar bomb.Service was good and will repeat to try other items. -
Review 39 (2022-04-07 - Rating: 4)
Can we just have a moment of silence for how BOMB these charbroiled oysters look? …..My friend and I came here for some delicious oysters and we ordered the charbroiled, raw and fried, so let’s break those down 1x1.My ONLY gripe with the oysters that we ordered was that they were unreleased from their shells 🙁 kinda defeats the purpose of an oyster shooter amirite? Anyway..The raw oysters were really good. Their mignonette needs some TLC but overall fresh and plump as they should be. The fried oysters were TENDER as hell and couldn’t have been fried any better than they were. Last but not least - the charbroiled option. Again - the oysters not being released from their shells kinda ruined the moment but they were still delicious. Crusty bread for dipping yes? Wilted salad underneath said oysters? A strong hell no.Now let’s move on to the drinks. PHE NO ME NAL!!!!!!! There is literally nothing better than a perfectly crafted cocktail. If we had the time I’m sure we would’ve ordered 2 more rounds! There was no indoor seating WITHOUT a reservation so keep that in mind if you wanna sit inside in case of in-climate weather. Other than that? Strong 4.5/5 and will definitely be returning! -
Review 40 (2021-05-08 - Rating: 4)
Food here is good. We didn’t have a reservation but the hostess managed to get us seated outside after a 15 min wait which wasn’t bad at all for a Friday evening. The ambiance is nice given the pandemic which necessitated the outdoor dining. As for the dining experience, the charbroiled oysters were delicious and unique in taste. The cajun shrimp were also delicious and had a hint of cumin which made these unique in taste as well. My bouillabaisse was tastier as it cooled or toward the end of the meal and the jambalaya also was a hearty and sizable portion. All meals were overall satisfying. The service is lacking since our waiter or server took our order, the food was served but we never saw her for more than two instances when she actually took the order. I would give 3.5 stars. Though it’s busy, she should check at least once to see that everything was as expected. Well she showed up a third time to issue the bill of course. Maybe she’s new. -
Review 41 (2022-10-16 - Rating: 4)
Delicious food and great atmosphere. The jambalaya was so flavourful and a big portion. Martinis were decent. The escargot however was way too salty, which was a little disappointing. The band that night was awesome, but music extremely loud… so if you are there to chat with friends, I recommend sitting outside. -
Review 42 (2021-04-11 - Rating: 5)
Stopped by here for a post-brunch bite and drinks and this place is a gem. Their outdoor set up is beautiful and their indoor decor is unique and special as well. The drinks do not disappoint and the key lime pie and Mac and cheese are superb. I’ll definitely be back for a full meal! -
Review 43 (2021-11-02 - Rating: 4)
Good outdoor seating. Friendly team but service almost non existent outside for lunch. Ceviche was just okay. Fish pieces in ceviche were tough. Fried oysters over priced though good and crunchy. Salsa that came with it was not fresh but Aioli dip was good. Duck with mash is good and priced well for what you get. During lunch, free soup was offered with lunch entree. Next time will go for cocktails and try other dishes. -

Came here for lunch and it was really fun with good food. Especially loved the Signature Gumbo, the charbroiled oysters with cajun butter, and the Brussels Sprouts with chili vinegar, honey glaze, sesame seeds. Only thing I wasnt crazy about was the Grilled Squash Kale Salad (the kale esp. was too tough). They also make a great Perfect Manhattan but I suggest you not have two on an empty stomach (as I did!!). -

Chic brunch in the city with pitcher options for drinks, which is great for groups. The food was delicious and staff were friendly. Love the atmosphere too and the live music was a nice touch. I would definitely go back. -

Cute, little, lively spot! I had the Goat cheese salad, grilled shrimp, and tuna tartare. The Goat cheese salad was so gooood with the crusted pistachios. The grilled shrimp were BIG and juicy. The Tuna tartare was fresh. Others in my group had the Fried Chicken which was kinda bland not what you would expect from. Cajun Creole spot. -

I decided to visit 1803 with a friend because she was cravingggg charbroiled oysters and I’ve never had them.Since this place was well reviewed on TikTok, we decided to try it for ourselves.Below are my ratings:Ambiance 9/10- live jazz band, modern yet southern aesthetic. Live tarot reading.Oysters 8/10– seasoned well but only an old bay flavour, quite small in size and 6 to an orderJambalaya 1/10– bland and underwhelming. The only pro was the tofu’s crunch and I’m really reaching for that 1 pointCocktails 8/10–flavourful but I’ve had betterWill return only for oysters. -

Great place for a date night or friends & family special dinners. I have celebrated my birthday and special occasions with friends here. During the summer, I finally got to visit one of the spot on my list, 1803 NYC. They offer New Orleans style food, like The outdoor seating was massive, and, it was covered, so no need to worry about the rain. Even though the outdoor seating looked nice, but the interior looked so beautiful!!! And, for that reason, we opted to eat inside instead of outdoor. We ordered Watermelon Lychee Sangria and Fais Do-Do for boozy brunch. The Sangria was AWESOME! The flavor seeps out from the watermelon into the drink, and the drink got stronger as the time passed even with the melting ice cubes. Fais Do-Do was was very fruity, and elegantly sweet. Bigger glass than expected, which was great! We enjoyed this one a lot too. They food menu looked super enticing, we wanted to order them all… We decided on Jambalaya and Cast Iron Cajun Frittata. Jambalaya tastes so good! It had perfect seasoning, loads of tender chicken, plump sausage and shrimp, a great dish! Frittata was loaded with plump crawfish and sausage, and packed with flavor. Every bite was a delight. While dining, a jazz band came in and started to play music from the balcony up top. We were not expecting that, and it was so nice! Their music was mellow and soothing, not loud but just loud enough to hear every note. Perfect for a relaxing weekend brunch! We had an amazing brunch here. The atmosphere, the music, the cocktails, and the food…everything was great! We would definitely go back for more and more. I can’t wait for my family to be able to come for a visit again, this will be the first place we will take them! -

The food here is absolutely amazing!!! The cocktails are crafted perfectly as well. We tried the fried oysters to start. I had the “Jean” cocktail and my date had the “oh the places you’ll go”. For the main course I had the branzino and my date had the filet mignon -

An amazing Cajun restaurant with lively jazz!I never thought Americans had a traditional fried rice dish (Jambalaya), and what surprised me more was it tastes really east-asian, ofc I really enjoyed it. We also ordered their XO sauce noodle and charbroiled oysters, they were so flavourful that my picky gf loved them too (well it became salty at the end she said). What I liked the most was the vivid ambience, I must say the jazz suited this place really well and we both vibed with it.If you want to try Cajun food or you want to listen to jazz, this place will def meet ur expectations. -

Good brunch spot with decent variety. Would recommend the country breakfast. Service could be a bit more attentive and its a tad too loud. -

Amazing cajun food in NYC. Came here on a Sunday afternoon around 230 and got immediately seated w out a reservation. The place has a tropical/bayou look in terms of decor with live jazz musicians treating us to some tunes. The service was great from our waiter. Random, but I must reccomend the frenct toast which was amazing. We got the black fish sandwich w fries, jambalaya and the miranted chicken all of which were terrific. Cooked and flavored just right. The red sauce must be added to the jambalaya for the extra flavor. -

Pretty good spot for brunch. The burger was well seasoned and the craw fish benedict was delicious. Don’t skip the fries! The drinks were okay, nothing spectacular or special. -

The food was absolutely fantastic. I had the jambalaya and my friend had the gumbo. Both tasted so good and felt very authentic. The ambiance is beautiful. There was a live band on the second floor which looks down on to the first floor. It definitely gives you the New Orleans vibe. -

I made a reservation but was stuck in the subway and they were accommodating to us showing up late. The food was delicious and the mimosas were truly bottomless. They have a vast brunch menu with lots of unique selections. They also provide you with hot sauces that are spicy to accompany the food. -

Not sure whats better, the food or the service. Found this place by accident, and couldnt be happier. They easily accommodate dairy sensitivity, our server triple checked everything for us, the food was done perfectly, and the cocktails were absolutely delicious! Our only regret was not ordering the Jambalaya, the table next to us got it and it smelled incredible!!Do yourself a favor and go there! -

I hesitate to call this restaurant the best fun restaurant in NYC because frankly there are just so many incredible restaurants in this city, there’s no way I’m going to know about all of them! An every day a new one pops out that makes the decision harder :) BUT honestly 1803 is really really up there in top fun list because they also have live amazing jazz music 🎶 🎼. A casual, fun , environment with good food and great music that can truly turn your night to a happy night and you can really have a good time. 💃🏻 🕺🏻 🎶 🤩 -

Food wise the restaurant is amazing the food is delicious and you gonna enjoy everything from cocktails to main course, appetizers everything is tasty.I am giving 4 stars because the food is amazing but the service was really bad.we came at 2:00 p.m. for lunch and the server who was serving us took her about 25 minutes to take our order while she only had 3 tables and one of those tables came after us, she serve them first. We feel like she was ignoring us intentionally.Again the food was amazing, Ill definitely come back for the food.Btw I am a server too and I never complain about service but this time was exception. -
Review 73 (2018-06-17 - Rating: 5)
My friend recommended 1803 NYC for a small girls-brunch and I am so glad she did. The restaurant was very cute and summer-y. We sat on their interior balcony and people watched while we chatted. The waitresses and waiters were so kind. They gave us the privacy we needed, but were still attentive to our needs. I got the frittata and substituted the home fries with french fries. I also got slabs of bacon on the side because why not!! The wait staff was lovely, the ambiance was calming, and the food was beyond filling and delicious. The brunch meals come with coffee. It is not a bottomless brunch spot, if that is what you are looking for, but it’s nice if you want to have a 2.5/3 hour catch up with friends. SO ENJOY!!! -

1803 NYC was the perfect restaurant to get me in the Mardi Gras spirit. The decor had character and depth giving you the New Orleans vibe of Frenchmen Street. The food was surprisingly good. My favorite was the poutine and gumbo. Definitely will be back to try more items on the menu. Laissez le bon temps rouler! -

Came here for drinks before going to dinner and our bartender made the best Old Fashioned I’ve had ever! Wished the speakeasy would have been open but grabbing drinks here was worth it not being open. -
Review 78 (2024-04-28 - Rating: 5)
Gumbo is terrific and highly recommend the bread pudding for dessert! Although the gumbo is appetizer, it definitely big enough to be your main meal. No complaints on service. My only improvement was small drink menu and they were out of the Sangria. I will definitely put this place as a return spot for me. I hope this helps! -
Review 79 (2024-09-12 - Rating: 4)
And now for something a little different… Solid 4 stars level offerings with good creole influence here for dinner on this noisy corner.Excellent gumbo soup, so we’re off to a good start. The sea bass did not disappoint, tho would have preferred some veggies rather than the cocktail-tomato-only base and did not care for the odd SunChips. The blackened scallops were very salty but in an excellent curry coconut corn base.Well be back to try the lamb shoulder, beignets and bread pudding. -

My fiancé and I came here for drinks for his birthday. Their drinks all sounded really good. I got the Jean Lafitte and my fiancé got The Calliope, both were really good but I really enjoyed mine. They were both really fresh. The food looked good but we only went for drinks. The atmosphere was nice inside as well as their outdoor booths. It was aesthetically pleasing. -

Review 84 (2022-12-13 - Rating: 4)
Ive never been here before however it was and interesting environment. Initially we were told that our table needs to be vacated around 8:15 for a larger party we got there for around 6:15. So obviously there was a time limit. The food was good for the most part. I cant necessarily agree with pricing on things but that also is New York City territory. Drinks are okay. I can say that Im not a fan of muscles and yet their menu does include quite a bit of them on the appetizers. I cant say Im going to go out of my way to come back it was certainly an experience and due to the issue of being rushed management attempted to rectify this by offering drinks on them. We actually went out for our mutual friends birthday so it was definitely more about her. -

My brother and I stopped here on a whim for lunch and we were sat very quickly. The bartender and servers were fantastic. Very nice and good about checking in on us. The ambiance is soothing and the decor is gorgeous.Their old fashioned wad very good and a bit on the sweet side, the pulled pork sandwich is very unique, good and not like anything I have ever tried before. The blackened catfish sandwich was cooked perfectly and dressed well. My only suggestion would be a bit more seasoning just because it bordered on being bland, however, it was still a decent fish sandwich.Definitely recommend. -

Amazing cocktails, even the descriptions blew me away. The catfish burger and Norwegian eggs were die for. Perfect NOLA jazz in the background. Courteous hostesses. Beautiful ambience. Clean toilet.Dunno why this place doesnt get Michelin rated. Obviously the food menu is set and there is no star for such places but I have seen 1 star Michelin marks falter where 1803 excelled. Would love to recommend the place and the Voodoo Queen cocktail to anyone. -

Today was my second time here. First time I came for dinner almost a year ago and today I did brunch. To me, brunch is the star of the show. The banana foster french toast was amazing! My friend also really enjoyed their fried chicken and waffles. I had a bite and it was really tasty. I have always loved their cocktails and it was good as I remembered. The only thing that was mid was the dirty rice. It just needed some salt. Otherwise, the seasoning was good. Im excited to come back and try some more things -

Had a good experience here, they have live music. The food is delicious, the drinks are pretty strong. But some people find it cool. -

This restaurant in the heart of Manhattan is a decent spot to grab a bite. As a discerning individual, I wouldnt frequent it regularly, but its a good option to satisfy your hunger. What truly stands out, however, is their signature Serrano Pepper hot sauce, made in-house. Its hands-down the best hot sauce Ive ever had the pleasure of trying - second only to my moms homemade sauce, which is unparalleled! -

The baby back ribs is something you need to order and share, or just order for yourself because it’s so good. The best sweet and almost nutty, soy flavor is not spicy or overpowering. It’s the perfect glaze and it falls right off the bone with the first bite. I want every plate of ribs to be cooked like this dish was!Oysters were ok for the price considering where else I can get it in the half shell for less than $24 -

We had a super yummy and also super early dinner. I have been here before for the jazz brunch with live music, which was really nice since we sat in the balcony with the band. On this occasion it was after brunch, which made it more conducive to conversation, which was helpful. We had the shrimp and grits, which was absolutely delicious, and the fried green tomatoes and macaroni and cheese as shared starters. We also had the lavender lemonade which was perfection. Our servers were friendly and efficient and the atmosphere was great... except for a rude group that sat behind us... but thats not the restaurants fault. -

Celebrating my Birthday in NYC. Had a taste for authentic Cajun cuisine. Made reservations at 7:30 p.m. got lost on the subway. It seemed like forever, but Felix (one of the wait staff) was very patient and accommodating. He pushed our reservations back and even called to check on us. Once we arrived, he knew immediately who I was and greeted us with his beautiful smile. Tiffany (our waitress) was EVERYTHING!! We love her energy and smile. She was a breathe of fresh air. Please see Tiffany when you visit, she will take care of you. Happy Birthday Tiffany!♈ The owner T. from Israel (so sorry, couldnt remember to spell your name). Hes the best!! He treated us like family, helped wishing me happy birthday, gave us his signature shot (soooooooo good by the way), and the staff sang happy birthday to me. The food was out of this world. I had the jambalaya. The flavors were beautiful in my mouth with all of the richness and flavors combined. I also ordered a Mojito which was awesome as well. This restaurant also had a live band as well which was phenomenal to hear. The area where the restaurant is located is beautiful. Thank you for making my birthday special and I cannot wait to come back again. -

The best part of all the service! The service by the manager Becky made our experience. She is clearly respected and holds the team together. She made sure that every table was getting top tier service. Many tables around agreed her hard work made the night for us unforgettable. Becky you’re incredible! -

So many solid options to choose from. I went with the pulled pork sandwich which was dynamite. I definitely want to try the paella or gumbo (might be wrong) but this was coming out left and right out of the kitchen. They had a drag show as well as and the performers were pretty funny and modest considering the people who brought their kids in.100% recommend. -

My friend put me on to 1803 NYC a few months ago and Im a fan. The ambiance and decor are really nice. They have a speakeasy downstairs, which is dope. I hosted a happy hour there once and the staff was accommodating and friendly.I love 1803s charbroiled oysters -- I wish the dish came with more oysters because its not too filling (I can EAT). However, this is one of their popular dishes, and if youre an oyster lover, you should definitely try them! I had the Garden Burger yesterday and it was pretty good. My friend had the Jambalaya and he loved it. I had a taste and it was good; it just needed a bit more seasoning IMO.The drinks here are pretty good and strong too, especially the Hurricane. They also have a decent selection of beers on their menu.Every time Ive come here, the staff is always nice. Id recommend 1803 for happy hour and dinner. -

The food here is delicious. I had an order of raw oysters- very fresh. They were a little too big for my liking-but still tasty. I also had the burger and fries. Burger was cooked and seasoned to perfection and the fries were nice and crispy. The wine pour was generous. The only thing I would want is maybe more food options. The menu is pretty small so youre a bit limited with your options. The service here is great. I would definitely come back again. -

I originally tried to book a table at 1803 online & was unable to get the timeslot I wanted. After calling the restaurant, they were able to accommodate 2 of us at 6:30pm on a Friday evening. It was my husbands birthday, so we wanted a relaxing night. The venue is lovely, great decor, truly reminiscent of NOLA. They have a large outdoor space too & if I am not incorrect, there were heaters outside. High tables inside, were a little small to fit plates & glasses on comfortably. When the appetizers came, the food was excellent. Portions were a good size, and the flavors were wonderful. My only complaint was that we felt very rushed. The entrees were brought out before we had even finished our appetizers, in spite of my previous request that we had a break in between courses. The 2nd time an attempt to bring our entrees out, I complained to a bar staff member & we were swiftly spoken to by Anthony, the general manager, who proceeded to ensure completely fresh dishes were made for us and that we had a good break before the food came out. This allowed us to enjoy the live band that was playing, (6-9pm). The jazz music was great and played at a volume level that still allowed you to hear your own conversation. I had the jambalaya & my husband the steak frites. Both were really good & again, good portion sizes. I had to bag some of mine up! Anthony also ensured that the rest of our evening went without a hitch, so that we left happy. Overall, the atmosphere and vibe were great. I really appreciate when staff try to correct a customer complaint & at 1803, this was achieved without it seeming like a problem. At the end of the day, my husband had a great birthday & we left, knowing we will be back very soon. FYI, they do have a happy hour on drinks but reckon on spending $100 a head for 3 courses & drinks. -

Wonderful experience!!! Ok I was at an art show in the immediate area and wanted to grab a bite. We walked to this spot and omg we went share. There was so many wonderful dishes to choose from we agreed to make it an evening of share. We ordered several dishes for our party of three. We started with oysters on the half, followed by buttermilk fried oysters, then Cajun escargot and shrimp wraps. We ordered mac n cheese and the totally amazing Bouillabaisse. The food was wonderful and our evening will ever be remembered because of those dishes. Amazing -

From the moment you step inside, youre greeted with a warm and welcoming atmosphere that sets the stage for an unforgettable meal. The ambiance of 1803 is great. The decor is tasteful, elegant, and fun, which strikes the perfect balance between casual and sophisticated.Of course, no dining experience is complete without great food, and 1803 delivers on this front as well. But what really sets apart from other restaurants is the service. The bartenders are extremely friendly and knowledgeable, always willing to make recommendations and chat with customers, especially Polina and Lisa. And the owner, Tal, is a gracious host who takes personal attention to every customer. He goes above and beyond to ensure that each diner feels valued and appreciated, and his passion for great food and hospitality shines through in every aspect of the dining experience. In short, if youre looking for a restaurant that offers great food, the most delicious drinks, exceptional service, and a warm and inviting ambiance, 1803 is the perfect choice. -

Stopped in 1803 for lunch while I was downtown. The staff was friendly and super helpful.I ordered the Catfish Sandwich that came with friends. The Catfish was flavorful with their house chili sauce. I wish the bread wasn’t so thick for the amount of meat.Interested in trying some of the other options on the menu, but overall had a good experience. -

Delicious food and good 80s music make a very instagrammable place actually good, not only good looking. Did I mention the pretty wallpaper and general design? -

Noisy, as expected for a bar-type, but it was welcoming. The staff were friendly, efficient and knowledgeable; seemed really hardworking. The food was tasty, good portions, and the beer selections were varied, some interesting names. -

My wife and I dined here on a Saturday night and had a great time. We shared a few appetizers including the char broiled oysters, polenta and escargot. Each one of them was delicious, especially the polenta, which was very cheesy. We also shared the jambalaya and it was a huge bowl, perfect to just pick at while talking over some good cocktails. We ended up finishing it and enjoyed every bit of flavor. The only knock Id have to say is we waited quite a few minutes just have our drink orders taken but after that we were well taken care of. -

Kind service, delicious food, and the best chargrilled oysters I’ve ever had, INCLUDING in Louisiana and Alabama! Seriously impressed! -

We were a party of three and dined outside. The tables were nicely spaced and the sound level was quiet. We started our meal with oysters which were fresh and delicious. My partner had the gumbo which He liked. I had the Duck breast which came with a huge portion of creamy sweet potatoes and not so much Duck breast. The Duck was really delicious but I wish there was more of it. My Son had the split pea soup and Catfish sandwich which he happily devoured. Overall we enjoyed our meal and the service was good. We will probably come back to sample some of their other dishes. -

A bit pricey but fitting with the neighborhood. Regardless, the food is worth the price. Ive been twice now for lunch time. They are a little slow with service, keep that in mind if you want to keep your lunch short and call your order in ahead of time. The vegan jambalaya was spicy and yummy The veggie burger is a deep red - very interesting color, Im guessing they use beets in the mix. Ive heard great things about the catfish sandwich too! The outdoor area is beautifully setup. -

Cajun flavor in the city. I have always wanted to try this place so when one of my friends organized the brunch I jumped at the chance to go. The staff is very friendly, make great suggestions, and the food is delicious!! And the cocktails have a kick to them with a unique flavor.Special shout out to our wonderful waitress, Leia, for providing such professional, kind, and excellent service.I would strongly recommend this restaurant to anyone wanting to have some tasty dinner in the city with a lovely ambiance. -

Late late lunch on my own. Splurged and ordered: the escargots, extremely good (Im French, so trust me on that one. Fried seafood and veggies as a second appetizer, yummy spicy sauces. A coconut lime pie with bourbon whipped cream, a delight - the coconut is subtle enough not to hide the tangy lime. A grapefruit cocktail with sparkling wine because I like sweet girly drinks. My server was lovely and service was efficient. The venue reminded me of a cool restaurant in the Keys.Ill be back for the bread pudding! -

Great staff and service. Go on Saturday for brunch to get a cocktail from Angelo. Hes a mix master!I highly recommend the mango mimosa and the passion fruit margarita, both are outstanding.I enjoyed the grilled oysters, which had a subtle taste and the frittata, which was filling without being dense. And they make the best biscuit Ive ever had in NYC, and Im a Southern man that knows his biscuits. Its a well appointed space with an open, inviting atmosphere. As a bonus, they have live music every day and its a great jazz sound. The place is a true gem, and I cant recommend it enough. Great place to go to recharge your batteries and recover from COVID-19 fatigue. -

The food wasnt bad at all. I really went there because i wanted gumbo but my partna from New Orleans says that wasnt gumbo that i ordered. Whatever gumbo thing i ordered was still good tho .Has an old school feel to the place. Drinks were strong as well! The dip was really good but lacking chips .. You will definitely have to get more chips because they give you alot of dip . -

Food tasted pretty good, but was surprised you needed to pay an extra $5 for rice with your gumbo. (And even then, it came on the side!)No standard hot sauce options which was really strange. Usually I prefer Crystal with anything NOLA. They did have some house made hot sauces, which did not include a standard red hot sauce. -

I loved my experience at 1803. The atmosphere is absolutely lovely and really feels like you are transported to New Orleans. I was there on a Tuesday night and there was live music from the balcony all evening long. The food and drinks were great too. I had their mezcal cocktail which I really enjoyed. The charbroiled oysters are a must order as well as the brussel sprouts. The shrimp lettuce wraps were good as well. The jambalaya is not something Id order again. The portion sizes are really good for the small plate / appetizers.I will definitely visit them again! -

At edenopolis we are constantly trying to find new dishes to inspire us. Unfortunately we cannot go to New Orleans too often (although I wish we could go more) but thats ok because of this place! The gumbo is delicious, and I love all the small apps. Great bar, good service, beautiful atmosphere and sometimes they even have a band! Fun environment for the whole family. -

Had a great time here on a rainy Thursday night. The vibe is straight out of New Orleans. They had a band playing on the second floor, and we started with a few Hurricanes (rum drink out of Nola)! We had the mac and cheese, salads, and some vegan jambalaya and meatballs, and everything was fantastic. Service was A+. -

Dropped by on a whim the other day. Pleasantly surprised by the quality of the food, service and the overall ambience. We ended up sharing a tuna nicoise salad and a rack of baby back ribs between two. The ribs came with a side of mac and cheese and coleslaw. The amount of food was more than enough for two.The highlights for me was definitely the mac and cheese and coleslaw. The ribs were still good, but the sides were GREAT.Service was good, no-nonsense. Atmosphere was nice with a live jazz band.Id definitely recommend anyone looking for a good feed and good vibes to drop by. -

I had a great time here with my friends. The drinks and food was so good. Such an amazing vibe. & the Cajun oysters 🦪 tho! Omg! Loved it. I seriously can’t stop coming here. The food is to immaculate. They discontinued the spicy noodles. It’s seasonal so i totally understand but the bread pudding is to die for. One of the best restaurants in the City. No BS! -

It’s my second time here and I can’t find anything to complain. First time was with one of my friends who knew the owner here; he was very friendly and offered us much for free. Then today I went to lunch to get the Jimbalaya, or whatever the Cajun fried rice is called, again and got told that we can choose between a beer or soup for free! Service is good and the restaurant itself is so nice. Will definitely return here sometime in the future. ❤️
