This is my second time at this movie theater and it’s been great both times! The theaters are smaller than the ones at AMC/Regal. The best part is being able to order food/drinks at your seat throughout the entire movie. If people walking by bothers you, probably not the best theater to watch a movie. I also recommend sitting one row behind the first row since it is quite close to the monitor if you’re sitting in the first row. Also, they don’t take Apple Pay so make sure you have a card or cash with you to pay for the food/drinks. -

Awesome design that clearly took a lot of time and budget to create. However, I prefer more comfortable and spacious seating — the chairs felt a bit too rigid, and my neighbors were uncomfortably close. -

Super fun way to see a movie! The footrest comes up for comfort but the backrest doesnt go back (which for me is a good thing b/c I always eant to fall asleep!), you have a tray in front of you if you order food and theres a no talking and no phones clause so you dont have worry about the movie being interrupted by loud talkers or lights from phones.I got the burger, fries, and a chocolate shake, and they were surprisingly incredible! It was restaurant quality and restaurant pricing, so about $35 with tip. They have unlimited popcorn and soda refills, AND you can rent movies! Dont have a VHS or DVD player? You can rent those too!It was my first time here so it was a little hard to find since the sign outside doesnt point you where to go. Keep going downstairs until you see the main doors. Also, they have a preshow with videos and other things that go with the movie, so get there about 30 min early! The only annoying part is they basically let you in right on time for this, but you cant get in early.I will definitely be back! -

This place is a fantastic movie theater! 📽️ Alamo Drafthouse Cinema 🎥 in Lower Manhattan 🗽 offers a wonderful selection of movies 🎞️ with recliner chairs 💺 and food 🍱 delivered to your seat. They have a great menu 📃 with pizza 🍕, burgers 🍔, fries 🍟, shakes 🥤, beer 🍺, cocktails 🍹, salads 🥗, and more! Definitely get the Ceaser Salad with Grilled ♨️ Chicken 🐔 and the Vanilla Shake! 🥛 Service is quick ⏲️ and the staff 👨🍳 is friendly! Make sure to make a reservation 🛎️ and get your movie 🍿 tickets 🎫 in advance. The place is beautifully decorated 🛋️ with poster 🖼️ of old movies and even has an old VHS 📼 tape rental inside. Super easy to get here by using the red 🔴 2 or 3 train 🚇 lines. Ⓜ️. I wish I came here more often! -

It’s a really cute little theater! The entrance is hard to find but it’s in 28 Liberty, just take the escalators down until you find it. They have $10.99 tickets (this including fees) all day Tuesdays which is so much better than other theaters, and they play cute little clips for the film before previews. Get a seat in the back 2 rows because anything else is a bit too close to the screen. My only complains are that the food is a bit expensive (though unlimited popcorn/soda and it does taste good) and the tables are awkwardly positioned. They’re pretty strict about not being late to your show and ordering (no talking allowed once the show starts) but just arrive a bit early to order food and they’ll explain how the ordering system works, it should be fine. -

Super cool, nostalgic and fun theatre experience. Good community feel and a strong sense of authenticity for the love of cinemaStylish and thought through, good service and decent food! Would return -
Review 7 (2025-01-01 - Rating: 5)
Alamo Drafthouse has so much retro callbacks like movie rentals, a giant stay puff marshmallow man, and old movie posters. They take your order before movies start and serve you some fresh food during the screening. Do note that if you’re too late for the screening (about 20mins) they will not let you in but they’ll happily change your ticket or refund you! -
Review 8 (2024-10-17 - Rating: 5)
Great, good, excellent. The 2/3 train takes you directly to the building that the Lower Manhattan Alamo Drafthouse is in. Head to the escalator and take it down two flights.Theatre is a nice mix of modern and old school. Love the rentable VHS/DVD - both the movie titles and the machines are available.Theatre was nice. No issues with the food, drink, or service.SUPER APPRECIATE THE STRICT NO TALKING/PHONE RULES. -
Review 9 (2024-12-31 - Rating: 5)
Yes, like always the Alamo Drafthouse is a beautiful experience the fact that if you pay for premium, you get like a little cloth to keep yourself warm you get like a restaurant little meat foods not no popcorn and just you know candy. Amazing will always go back. -
Review 10 (2024-10-16 - Rating: 5)
Movie theater inside gallery building. Theaters were clean and spacious and service was amazing. Would come here before AMC. Also have a fantastic food and drink menu with great prices and delivery to seat service. -
Review 11 (2024-05-26 - Rating: 5)
The most comfortable recliners are at this theater. They also feature movie themed menus, which can be fun. When you arrive at the theater, there is a bar to the right side where you can hang out before the movie and have a cocktail or beer .Once you are seated, you can place an order for food that gets delivered directly to your seat. The table is very comfortable, unlike other theaters. You will need to give the server a credit card for a tab and at the end of the movie they come around with your receipt to sign.It is an awesome experience and fun ! -
Review 12 (2024-08-15 - Rating: 5)
One of the best experiences Ive had in Manhattan. If you want a real theater experience, then come to the Alamo Drafthouse in lower Manhattan and you wont regret it! -
Review 13 (2024-06-17 - Rating: 5)
Service and food quality is what you’d expect at any Alamo Drafthouse location. What sets the Lower Manhattan theater apart is the Kim’s Video VHS collection. So ‘effin cool. Part video rental service part museum. Entrance is buried in a skyscraper basement but it’s worth the four-floor hike. -
Review 14 (2024-08-28 - Rating: 5)
I havent felt the need to see a movie in years. Why pay high ticket prices when I can relax at home with a meal and enjoy a ruckus-free experience for chump change for basically the same price? Well, Alamo actually put the value back into ticket prices. Attentive staff and a strict (and enforced!) viewing policy really put the joy back in seeing a movie in theaters. The price of food is something I would have paid anyway if I was having a movie night at home and ordered takeout, so having the luxury of reclining seats, good food, excellent drinks and an ACTUAL GOOD THEATER EXPERIENCE was well worth it. I dont think Ill ever go back to a regular movie theater again. -
Review 15 (2022-02-26 - Rating: 5)
Liked the little details about the venue. The seats are comfortable and the theater looks nice. The limited number of the seats and their distance make you less anxious during the pandemic! you can order food /drink without disturbing others and/or being disturbed while watching the movie. -
Review 16 (2023-04-23 - Rating: 5)
Nice comfortable seats that recline and you dont have to wait on line they bring the food and the refreshments to your seat that has a little table to put your snacks on. Great acoustics. They also have a bar and souvenir store. -
Review 17 (2024-04-04 - Rating: 5)
Cinema for adults generally since it is a cinema that has a built-in viewing etc. the atmosphere is more for adults than for children. I loved everything, everything was very personalized and all the tables are the same, it is a small room. They serve you at your seat where you have a table and a menu to order food, drinks and alcohol! -

A HUGE THANKS TO BERNARDO!When I couldnt purchase tickets online due to having a Canadian ZIP code, he went above and beyond to help me reserve seats for a presentation. Im so grateful for your help that Im bringing you some of Quebecs finest maple syrup as a token of my gratitude. If youre looking for a place that truly cares about customer experience, this is it. See you Dec 29th, Bernardo! -

Besides the good food and the reclining seats, the servers and cleaners also made up the whole Alamo experiences.First time to this lower manhattan Alamo and I’m loving it. Its not just a lot spacious, they also have a bar and merch store too.( can Alamo introduce caramel / kettle popcorn on the menu please !!?!? ) -
Review 20 (2023-03-19 - Rating: 5)
Great moviegoing experience. The service was on point with quick and friendly staff. Our food was delicious and we loved the movie. Can’t wait to go back to this location. The reclining seats are a nice feature after logging out! -

My favorite movie theater in the NYC area. Comfortable, quiet seating. Exceptional service and quality food. Can’t ask for me. -
Review 22 (2022-07-16 - Rating: 5)
Longtime fan of the Brooklyn location, first visit to this one. Its even better, powered reclining seats, individual tabletops, and light up call buttons. Combined with the dont talk, dont textpolicy, adds up to a very enjoyable movie experience. Staff were also very friendly and nice. It is a little challenging to find though. -
Review 23 (2024-09-08 - Rating: 5)
My first time here was amazing. We had one server who was great. He was from miami and I can’t remember his name. Super nice and attentive. Treated us with great care. Second time I came here was not as good but still had great service. Love coming here. Will be back soon. If you’re thinking of a nice date spot, come here! Food is great and they really focus on a great guest experience. -
Review 24 (2024-08-07 - Rating: 5)
My go to for any movie viewing experience. Comfy reclining seats, nice options for a movie theater menu. I’ve only had a cocktail here once but it did not disappoint. Sign up for their loyalty program. -
Review 25 (2024-09-15 - Rating: 4)
This is a great movie theater. It’s cozy, beautiful, and homie, just like the other two theaters in NYC.I acquired their Season Pass and I have to say it’s the best thing I’ve done this year so far. With it, you can watch as much as a movie per day with just $29.99 per month. No wonder they’re always packed. Who could ever resist such a deal? The food service is very good. It’s a simple, straightforward procedure, you can order throughout the movie, and it’s quite speedy even when the theater is packed. However, the reason I’m rating it 4 stars and not 5 is precisely because of the food. Yesterday I went to watch Beetlejuice Beetlejuice and just ordered some of the regular popcorn (which by the way has free refills), and oh my God it has to be the saltiest popcorn I’ve ever tasted in my life! And when I mean salty I mean salty. Salty as in I had to drink 20 ounces worth of water when I walked out the theater and I specifically ordered it without butter, and it still was much too salty. In fact, I even woke up with a case of indigestion today. No doubt the rest of the food must be incredible, but can you improve your popcorn please? -
Review 26 (2024-09-10 - Rating: 5)
Tucked all the way downstairs. I didn’t see any signage in the lobby as to where to go to we just kept walking and headed down the escalators past the indoor tennis courts and the piano store and then we found The Alamo Drafthouse. The bar is right by the entrance but you can order in your seat as well. The theater was very clean and our server was friendly and fast. We opted for popcorn and a Dr Pepper which was great. Our friend got the souvenir popcorn bucket, the cauliflower bites and a drink and he really enjoyed it. Great theater and great pricing as well. No one was loud or disrespectful so that was great bc sometimes in the Times Square Theaters people are rowdy. -
Review 27 (2025-01-03 - Rating: 5)
Love the Alamo! A little hard to find and get to (it’s in the basement of a building in Fidi) but had a great time. -

This is my go to theater to watch movies. The theater is clean and the quiet during the show. I love that I can bring my son and order food during the show while never leaving my seat. -
Review 30 (2024-08-04 - Rating: 5)
Very excellent chairs! Sat in the front row, totally fine, not bad at all. 10$ Tuesdays. What!?!? That’s so cheap, I feel like I’m back in the 90s -
Review 31 (2024-05-19 - Rating: 4)
Relatively clean and comfortable seating. The seats are not made of cloth and recline to put your feet up. I really enjoyed the popcorn. The server was friendly and efficient (I only placed one order before the movie started). Overall good experience. Yes the bathroom stalls are for both genders, but the stall doors are very large and it feels private. -
Review 32 (2024-06-08 - Rating: 5)
I came here the other day to see my favorite movie for the first time on the big screen. It was my first time at Alamo Drafthouse and the server was so kind in explaining the ordering process. When I said I couldnt justify the huge popcorn bowl for just myself; they brought me one on the house with a little note! It absolutely made my day and I may or may not have shed a tear. Literally give every server here a raise because I also spilled the entire popcorn bowl onto the floor on the way out and they said dont worry, happens all the time. These are true American heroes and their work has not gone unnoticed. I am forever indebted to the staff of the Alamo Drafthouse -
Review 33 (2024-09-13 - Rating: 5)
This place is worth visiting. In fact, if I lived here, this would be my go to place for movies. This is a must visit. -
Review 34 (2022-10-17 - Rating: 4)
Cute new location. All seats recline, not just the front row. There’s a button to push when you want more food/bev in addition to the raised card. The lobby/bar area is perf for date night. You can gain entrance without whilst still underground. That’s the end of my report from the field. Happy viewing!NOTE: I reserve 5 stars for above and beyond/extreme white glove service/experience. If everyone is a 5, no one is a 5. 😉 -
Review 35 (2021-10-19 - Rating: 5)
Youll love it!! The staff is absolutely amazing and food/drinks are spot on. I was ecstatic for the new location to open and was not disappointed. Great movie selection and cool bar/store before you head to the theatres. Definitely recommend! -
Review 36 (2023-01-07 - Rating: 5)
Alamo is the best! I usually frequent the one in Staten Island but I was out in NYC for the day and decided to pop in to see a show. Love the state puff marshmallow and the area to rent old school movies. Great theater, great service…will sure be back! -
Review 37 (2023-02-11 - Rating: 5)
I can’t believe I never heard of this place till this year. They have a variety on their menu, the service was good and the seats were comfortable. And on Tuesdays it’s $9. -
Review 38 (2024-06-14 - Rating: 5)
My friend and I came here to see an anime movie. It was both our first time here and we absolutely loved it!For a Saturday it was pretty empty, but then again we went in the early afternoon. Anyway you have to enter in down a stair case that will lead to glass doors and an open space. From there follow the escalators until you get to the theatre. We finally made it in and it’s so amazing inside. They have their own merch available for purchase and when you get downstairs it’s feels like being transported into a blockbuster/ old movie theatre all at once. They have VHS’s available to rent 🥹As always the dine-in experience at an Alamo was fantastic. Food was delicious and the drinks were even more amazing!Really love this location can’t wait to come back! -

Love the Alamo ! As someone who works on the weekends in nightlife, my favorite thing to do on my Monday and Tuesday’s off is take myself to a matinee movie, and the Alamo has been my favorite place to do it. The food is good! Bar is great ! And you can get a monthly pass and watch movies all the time ! -
Review 41 (2024-06-19 - Rating: 4)
Pretty good movie watching experience. The staff was alright and the popcorn was good. I wish the seats would recline a little more. Honestly, I would make the trip to Nitehawk which is similar but, better than this. -

Review 46 (2024-07-27 - Rating: 5)
During these past few months we’ve had family dates to Alamo Drafthouse in multiple locations and truly had such special family moments watching Inside Out 2 and Despicable Me 4! Also, I am vegan and it is HARD to find delicious popcorn without butter but Alamo delivered with their endless popcorn refills! The kitchen and waiters were so responsive in our popcorn specifications and it was really sweet. Also the atmosphere in the entire establishment was very cozy and great for a date night as well as a family night. Thank you for sprinkling in a bit of magic to our cancer journeys and creating a space where we could all relax and escape for a while! -

Didn’t go see a movie but went Kim’s Video Underground and all I gotta say is wow! How lucky we are to have this absolute gem available! Free rentals of movies and shows that you can’t get anywhere else including the rental. If I’m ever yearning for that nostalgia of going to the video store and perusing as I did today I’m just going to B-Line it here. I’m almost speechless at how amazing it is to get to experience Kim’s Video Underground, it’s truly one of a kind! -
Review 49 (2022-05-25 - Rating: 5)
Alamo Drafthouse always comes through with fantastic lobby & bar designs. This lobby had a VHS store and a statue of the Stay Puft Marshmallow Man!Took my Mom and Fiance to their first Alamo Drafthouse (and my first time at this location) and we all loved it! -
Review 50 (2022-07-20 - Rating: 5)
I love it here. Underground old school with the latest technology movie theater. Serve you at your seat - food is pretty decent and decent drinks. Its kid friendly BUT its really an adult theme thing. Lot of old school movie posters -
Review 51 (2024-10-26 - Rating: 4)
Love this location - what a great use of downtown commercial space! Food and service way better than Brooklyn location. -
Review 52 (2024-07-09 - Rating: 5)
Its under an office building and made it difficult to find. A poster or something could help outside of the building. But once you get there, its neat and nice. We watched a movie there. Its pricy for a movie but convenient. -
Review 53 (2023-04-14 - Rating: 4)
Alamo Drafthouse provides a fantastic overall experience. This place does not disappoint & I enjoy the King Kong & Ghost Busters theme. Being underground it can be difficult to find this place. -
Review 54 (2023-11-09 - Rating: 5)

Review 56 (2024-12-09 - Rating: 5)
It is really quite weird to find this place buried underneath a big office block in the financial district. However, once you are there, it is excellent. Very comfy chairs, high-quality technology and food and drink brought directly to you. What could be better? -
Review 57 (2023-06-18 - Rating: 5)
Wow what a great little theater... great food and drinks and service. Very pricey but worth it! Ive never been to a theater like this -
Review 58 (2022-04-02 - Rating: 4)
They did a great job of making the space unique and special, so you forget you are literally under the historical former capital of the country and current center of financial greed. Getting to it felts like trespassing, with the several guards watching my every step from lobby to escalator. Traditionally, you are invited to linger near a theater to entice you with posters and next showtimes, but the building quietly escorts those feelings to the curb. -
Review 59 (2024-09-05 - Rating: 5)
Favorite movie theater ever🙏🏼 chips and queso are everything. Love how there’s special menus for movie releases -
Review 60 (2022-11-24 - Rating: 5)
First time visiting this theater and location while going to see Black Adam with a friend at an evening viewing. Drinks were good but expected a bigger glass when ordering the cider. Food was excellent and the popcorn is a must have when ordering food. We chose the parmesan topping which I highly recommend. The only real downside to the experience was the seats being a little too cozy and small if you are a tall or big person. Other than that I definitely plan on going there again. -
Review 61 (2023-10-16 - Rating: 5)
Have only ever been to Brooklyn Alamo a few times, this was our first visit to the Manhattan one. Went yesterday for the Taylor swift concert film looking to get away from huge crowds. I wanted to review to say that staff was excellent. I can’t even imagine the extra work that film caused them and they handled it like pros. Great location to see a movie- will defiantly be back! -
Review 62 (2024-08-10 - Rating: 5)
Nice theater with reclining seats, and a good menu of food and drink brought to your seat. -
Review 63 (2023-05-20 - Rating: 5)
Great experience. The service was phenomenal. All movie theaters should have an official dine-in experience. My only complaint is that the table that youre supposed to eat off of is fixed. It doesnt rotate at all. Its awkward trying to eat on it. Thankfully the plate they give you can rest on your lap comfortably -

Movie and a dinner at Alamo. Super impressive, nice food, good service, comfortable seats. The movie selection is limited but good. Nice and clean bathrooms. Overall good times. -
Review 69 (2022-11-24 - Rating: 5)
Definitely want to come here again! Atmosphere is awesome with all the cult classics as you walk thru the theater. Our waiter was a little agitated but that didnt really bother me. Food was good. Came out just in time for the start of the movie. Only thing that was slightly uncomfortable were the lack of inclination on the chair settings. Wish it inclined more to be more comfortable but still a great experience. -

I think it’s a great theater. I just won’t lie, the shared bathrooms don’t make me the most comfortable 😂😂Though there is a great solo family bathroom one can use if wanted. Great place, shows great movies 🎥Oh popcorn was ass, inedible. I just AMC just might do it best😂😂 -
Review 73 (2024-02-05 - Rating: 4)
Sometimes it’s difficult to get good seats for popular showtimes, but everything else is great. They were very accommodating when we were late for a movie and wanted to switch our tickets to a different movie. I love the herb parmasean popcorn! -
Review 74 (2023-08-01 - Rating: 4)
I love that this Alamo is near my work, but its in a weird building underground and can be hard to find as the signage is small and inconspicuous. However, I love the design and decor. The theaters themselves are also much smaller feeling, and the seats are more cramped together, unlike the ones in Brooklyn, which is my favorite Alamo as its a lot more spacious. But its still a great Alamo, just be prepared to be squished next to strangers the Manhattan way. -
Review 75 (2022-04-16 - Rating: 5)
Great movie theater, its actually more than a standard movie theater. Great staff and Great service. I will be definitely visit this location again. Parking is limited, you are better off taking the subway and walking here. Bathrooms are very clean. Its located inside 28 Liberty, either take the elevator or go down the escalator to get to the Alamo Drafthouse. They do have merchandise for sale inside. There is also Kims Video Underground, where you can rent videos for free. -
Review 76 (2024-01-31 - Rating: 5)
Love this theater, especially the monthly season pass. Popcorn never hits the spot for some reason (always tastes stale??), but their Cesar salad, pretzel, and queso dip are consistently good -

Comfortable reclining seats with a full menu of food, drink and dessert selections in a clean multi theater cinema. There is a bar with a dance floor and a printing press at the entrance. The staff is very attentive and the service is great! Can’t miss a VHS rental setup on the theater level. -

Review 80 (2023-07-06 - Rating: 4)
Nice theater. Clean place, clean bathrooms, comfy recliner seats and intimate theaters. The bottomless popcorn is good and (a little salty) tasty popcorn. Alcoholic drinks are a hit or miss. Wait staff is pleasant -
Review 81 (2022-03-08 - Rating: 5)
I’ve of course heard about this chain for years and their mostly sterling reputation, but it was real fun finally being able to go to one. Great sound, great screen, intimate setting, and very nice staff. No audience issues, though I purposely went when it was mostly empty. The food was also excellent, as I of course had the “Royale with Cheese,” which was a very tasty burger. The Genderless bathrooms are much appreciated, with urinals to the left, stalls to the right. My only problem is it isn’t immediately apparent how to get to the theater, but honestly it’s far from the only theater in Manhattan to have that problem considering how space is a premium.Otherwise, this is a 10/10 experience, will definitely be my go-to theater whenever I’m in New York in the future. -
Review 82 (2023-03-06 - Rating: 5)
Best bar (while you wait for your movie to be seating). Very good food & drink at your seat - which is assigned when you buy your ticket. No noise or phone use during feature. Hilarious pre-movie shorts, worth coming early. Only negative is true of all movie houses: the sound is way too high; bring earplugs or damage your hearing (Alamo, sell earplugs, please?). -
Review 83 (2023-07-28 - Rating: 5)
Went here for Mission Impossible. Big, comfy seats, excellent service. The funnest part was the artisan pre-roll. I guess they don’t have to show movie previews like a traditional theater? Saw interesting and weird clips about Tom Cruise and spy history. Super fun and unique. Even the lobby has interesting decor. Would def love to came back again. The only meh part is the distance from a subway station. But oh well, walking is healthy! -

Cool place to meet for a drink nice bar and good food. Staff was very nice. But it was a little weird the service during the movie. The come around and say last call and also the lights under the trays are a tad distracting -
Review 85 (2022-12-17 - Rating: 5)
One of the best movie experiences Ive ever had. Staff was really friendly, the seats were comfortable and the food was great. Alamo set the bar really high and I dont think I can go to any other theater again. -
Review 86 (2023-08-04 - Rating: 5)
My absolute favorite theater in NY. Brilliant service, great movie selection, good food (fr). They have really convenient customer policies that make you wanna travel all the way from UES to LES. Aside from the movie, amazing game nights. -
Review 87 (2022-03-19 - Rating: 5)
The seating is comfortable and view barely obstructed! The staff are also great, they are quick to help with whatever your need is. -
Review 88 (2024-12-18 - Rating: 5)
Great date night for movie and dinner. The bar is super cute and fun place to wait for your showtime. -
Review 89 (2022-04-08 - Rating: 4)
Great casual dinner and a movie for adults. Perhaps a bit overpriced, and $50 for a cheap bottle of wine is kinda ridiculous. But overall the food is good and the popcorn is excellent. The seats are comfortable but a but narrow (and Im not that big)big. Very small theaters in lower Manhattan location, so if you dont reserve early, expect to sit in the front, especially if you have a group. -
Review 90 (2023-10-28 - Rating: 4)
Firstly, I want to say that I love coming here to see movies. I love the aesthetic and the service and the passion that they have for films. But I just want to let people know something that happened to me on a recent visit. When I received my receipt at the end of the movie, I noticed the tip % was inaccurate. My total was $27 but they had over $8 set at 25%. In the photo you can see I scratched out their tips and wrote the accurate tips. Hopefully someone sees this and can let me know if it was a mistake or what? -
Review 91 (2022-11-14 - Rating: 5)
We knew nothing about this location and now we will defiantly will make it our spot to watch movies from here on out. -
Review 92 (2023-06-24 - Rating: 5)
One of the best theaters on the island. Food and staff are great. What I like about this location is that each theater is relatively small due to limited space. This makes for a much more comfortable and immersive viewing experience. -
Review 93 (2022-03-13 - Rating: 4)
I never got the food I preordered, but the food I ordered in the theatre arrived in a timely manner. Pizza was delicious, but crunchy so I felt a little self concious about making noise while eating. The shake was super tasty and silent. The seats were very comfortable, but the sound was too loud for me. I wish I couldve just turned down the volume a couple clicks. -
Review 94 (2022-10-10 - Rating: 5)
My favorite movie experience by far. I love Alamo drafthouse. It’s the best place to go! A little pricey but so worth it, especially for those special films you want to see in a theatre. I love their food selection and their before the movie adverts are so interesting. Awesome service every time. -
Review 95 (2024-11-23 - Rating: 5)
This is by far one of my favorite movie theaters in Manhattan. The staff is amazing, the seats are comfortable, the food always arrives from the kitchen hot and fresh, and they reinforce their quiet movie policy. -
Review 96 (2023-05-17 - Rating: 5)
This place is something else! Top cinema, newest tech AND Craftbeer-bar! What else do you want? Reclining seats and food- and drinks-service sur place. Oh yeah! You can rent VHS-videos as well. -
Review 97 (2022-01-24 - Rating: 5)
Best neighborhood theater I go all the time. Large beer, drinks and food selection. Food is good and movies are great.I hope they introduce reclining seats like they did in the new Manhattan location :)The monthly pass is definitely worth it I recommend! -
Review 98 (2023-07-20 - Rating: 5)
Very clean and cozy movie theatre. Seats are comfy too. Friendly staff. -
Review 99 (2022-09-11 - Rating: 4)
I had never been to an Alamo Drafthouse prior to a few weeks ago, but I loved the experience! The moment you walk in there’s this energy that radiates off the design of the theater. Also, I love that a section is dedicated to renting movies! That was a nice touch on top of everything else. -
Review 100 (2024-09-08 - Rating: 5)
Work in the film biz. Best way to view movies! Relaxing - food is good, the drink menu is full of all the goodies. The theater has great curation. They bring back a lot of the old movies you know and love and do theme nights. -
Review 101 (2023-10-05 - Rating: 5)
VERY tough to find. Theres some tiny signs next to the huge 28 liberty building, but if you go in the wrong entrance youll be totally lost. Basically youre trying to go like 4 floors beneath street level, and the escalators go from the chase buildings/28 liberty main level (if youre good at navigating the subway stations, theres even a way to get here from the 2/3 Wall Street station without going outside, at the right times of day)Once youre there, however, this place is just as great as any other Alamo (great food, cool movies, nice bar on location), but a few call outs compared to the BK location I usually go to:The first row here doesnt lay flat, so you probably want a recliner in another row if you can find oneThe theaters here are all very small, but given the location, and the rather unusual movies this place shows a lot of the time, its not really a problem. -
Review 102 (2024-02-03 - Rating: 5)
Great cinema experience. Nice movies selection. Great staff. -
Review 103 (2024-02-08 - Rating: 5)
Cool theatre! Perfect date spot or even to just watch a movie with family or friends. Food and drinks brought to your seat! -
Review 104 (2023-05-17 - Rating: 5)
Best chain of theatres if you want a movie experience. No random ads, no talking, good seats, good food, great little featurettes before the movie, and usually a fantastic crowd. Discounted tickets before noon dont hurt either :) -
Review 105 (2021-11-14 - Rating: 5)
In the new Marketplace 28, you travel down several escalators deeper into the ground while every other shop is under construction. This cinemaplex has welcoming staff and small yet relaxing theaters. You really get a luxurious experience, especially with the food and drinks that are available. The website is a tad buggy, and sometimes the staff miss my order, but they are quick to correct any errors. -

Review 108 (2024-08-05 - Rating: 4)
I love Alamo. I bring all my girls here. It’s a 10/10 . I’m not gonna lie tho. They love to have fun with peoples cards. Every single time I go to this specific one. My card ends up getting charged for something two days later. Like this gotta stop. It makes me so mad. -
Review 109 (2021-12-15 - Rating: 5)
First time back at the movies, and wow did Alamo deliver! We loved the food and drink menu and were able to pre-order our meal along with our movie tickets. The staff inside the theater and the attached Press Room bar were all awesome. And they have cocktails on tap! Fantastic new(ish) local spot! -
Review 110 (2022-07-08 - Rating: 5)
Im not really that into going to the movies but this makes me want to go all the time. The food is surprisingly good (and dietary restriction friendly) plus they have great beers. Definitely going to come back to see a classic movie, not just when a new movie is released. -
Review 111 (2023-08-08 - Rating: 5)
So so so much better than the downtown Bklyn location. Theaters are clean and updated and the service is excellent. Even though I have to travel to go to this Alamo (dntn bklyn is within walking g distance), its worth it. -
Review 112 (2022-07-16 - Rating: 4)
I like the experience of having a meal while watching is pretty cool, not to mention having a drink. My only issue would be with the chicken fingers…they were a little too big for my liking. Other than that service was great and theater clean! -
Review 113 (2022-11-06 - Rating: 5)
I love Alamo Drafthouse, and Adam and the managers and the rest of the crew at the Lower Manhattan location went so far above and beyond, I had to come leave 5 stars. Thank you for your help, generosity, and providing such a great place to see cool movies and eat delicious food. -
Review 114 (2024-01-29 - Rating: 4)
Part of Kim’s Videos VHS collection lives here! Worth it just for that. There’s also great theatrical and repertory programming. Incredibly comfortable seats. Great sound system. It can be a little overwhelming to have servers walk through the aisles dropping off food and drink, but the staff is very quick. New development: Alamo now uses red buttons that illuminate on your seat when pressed—they signal to the waiter that you want to order something during the movie. That way the waiter will be able to see the request without difficulty and also they can then spend less time in the aisles checking to ensure nothing has been missed. -
Review 115 (2024-08-09 - Rating: 4)
It’s a great theatre, very clean, and good service. The bar area is really nice and lots of cool vintage movies decor. Only deducted a star because they don’t take Apple Pay, which is rare in New York and very annoying -

Review 117 (2023-09-30 - Rating: 5)

My new favorite theater. Margaritas and pizza for the win. -
Review 120 (2024-07-20 - Rating: 5)
Amazing cinema vibes. It’s not your conventional type of movie theater and that’s a great thing. It’s a dining type of movie theater where a server takes your order for food and drinks. Food was tasty with it being reasonable price for the portion sizes that were given. Drinks were surprisingly good for a cinema. Will recommend to go here to watch a movie in this theater. -
Review 121 (2022-07-27 - Rating: 5)
Caesar Salad was good, Monster Burger was ok.Cinema Seats are awesome. Sound maybe a little to loud. All in all great experience for 50$ p.p. -
Review 122 (2023-01-16 - Rating: 5)
Of the two Alamo Drafthouse locations, by far the most cursed. Possibly top 10 most cursed buildings in Manhattan. This drafthouse has everything: a location so far underground you feel like youre seeing films in a dungeon, an empty mall lit only with white crosses on the wall perched on top of it, fake plants, Kims Video collection that nobody ever rents from, toilets labeled commodes, a bar where the music is always too loud. Points docked for not having severed heads in it like the Brooklyn one does (did?) What I like about this location is it feels like it isnt trying to be cursed, it just turned out that way. This is by far my favorite movie theater in New York City. I saw Everything Everywhere All At Once here and it changed my life. Great food and drinks, go asap before developers realize malls will never be profitable in this economy and they tear it down. -
Review 123 (2024-08-03 - Rating: 5)
Great experience with in-seat ordering and service. Chairs reclined comfortably. Food was decent. A bit hard to find since it’s a few floors down inside a discrete building. But once you’re in, it’s a great cinema experience. -

First time going to an Alamo Drafthouse and was definitely impressed -
Review 125 (2023-05-09 - Rating: 4)
Great audio and seats, but the popcorn was kidney-dissolvingly salty. how convenient would it be for movie theaters to allow customers to select how salty they want their popcorn, in the same way they do with butter? -
Review 126 (2024-10-02 - Rating: 5)
Always have a great movie-watching experience at the Alamo. Great food. No complaints! -
Review 127 (2022-08-07 - Rating: 5)
If you can find your way through the dystopian sterile building down what seems like endless escalators. This Alamo location wont disappoint. A cute bar and venue are attached, and the theaters themselves are great -
Review 128 (2021-12-12 - Rating: 4)
The staff are great. It was kinda funny to go in this repurposed lobby that still has marble walls and floor, then go down two levels, passing a vaccination site, an empty parking level, and a storage of...kid art tools? But bear with the variety of spaces and finally, the Alamo. The front seat is a bit closer to the screen than the setting in the downtown Brooklyn one. Maybe because it just opened, the options for food arent that many. -
Review 129 (2024-07-30 - Rating: 4)
I like the concept, to an extent, but it could be managed better. The film I saw was excellent, and the seating is comfortable. However, once the theatre is dark, its impossible to see where your seat is, so I ended up sitting in a different one from the one I reserved and was given the third degree -
Review 130 (2024-11-18 - Rating: 5)
Great prices, great service, the most comfortable/enjoyable theater experience Ive had in NYC. Why go to Regal or AMC when the tickets are virtually the same price? Id go out of my way to come back here. -

Clean, modern, beautiful, and well-run. Its too bad that the quality of Hollywood films has fallen off since ~2019. We go to the movies to have a communal experience and escape. Not get lectured. This Alamo Drafthouse is great. -
Review 134 (2024-02-13 - Rating: 5)

Went on their first opening weekend and loved it. Some growing pains like not having all of the draft beers available or some noises as servers brought food in but didn’t mainly affect the experience. So happy to have this in the neighborhood. -

Been a member of Drafthouse since ‘18, used to go to city pointe as i lived in BK before. This manhattan location IS FANTASTIC! We fell in LOVE with the Pressroom. The ability to buy any print thats there is a very good move. The staff is very attentive. Our attendant Nick made the movie experience phenomenal! The seats are comfortable and grand. If youre a movie buff please do yourself a favor and come here! -

Review 148 (2021-11-02 - Rating: 5)
Beyond thrilled that our favorite movie theater is in downtown NYC, across from my office too! The one in Brooklyn is good too but needs a seat renovation now. Good food, drinks, comfy seats, friendly staff, pre movie flic and MOST of all civility movie watching rules—that are enforced! In a big city, I dread going to movies when people don’t have movie watching etiquette. Talkers, loudness, crying uncontrolled kids, and bright loud phones. Not at the Alamo. Go to AMC if that’s you. Lol. Cool pub and gift shop too. Remember go 1/2 an hour early to watch the pre movie clip and order your food/drinks. You are allowed to go early here! -

I’m a season pass holder and this has been the first time anything like this happened and they handled accordingly :) (i work in service too so i get it, hopefully this doesn’t happen agajn tho)
