    Made my wedding day beautiful 😍. Me and my husband were on a budget and this was more than perfect for it. It was warm and cozy, the food is good and perfect after a long cold stressful day.     We have eaten at Arte Cafe dozens of times over the years. This establishment is a great UWS locals Italian restaurant that has been around for decades. We have always loved the food, service, and atmosphere. Roberto, who works the bar area during lunchtime, is fantastic. His welcoming charm keeps us coming back!Also, to note, Artes back room is an awesome space for private parties, and the daily lunch pre-fix menu here is an amazing value.

    Lovely place. Lots of regulars there and they all get along with the staff. Made the atmosphere feel cozy. The staff are also all really sweet and attentive.I had ordered the meatballs and they were excellent :) oh they also have a large clear jar by the entrance with individually packaged almond biscuits, I think they’re called Almond Cantucci, but yeah you can grab some to go. Such a nice touch.

    It is a very good place to spend some quiet time. The people who serve are trained. Very good service from one of the guys, plus one who has a beard. I dont know his name, but the service is very good.

    Absolute hidden gem on the upper west side! They offer a 3-course menu for 25$ with many delicious food-options, the service is more than outstanding due to the attentive staff and the overall vibe in there feels oddly familiar. 100/5 stars ⭐️

    This place is special for me. I discovered Arte Cafe on a trip home for the holidays year ago and my family wanted a place to eat that wasn’t one of our usual spots. My family loved it from the start, especially my grandfather who’s no longer with us. We keep coming back and hope to do so for many years to come!

    I visited during NY Restaurant Week for the lunch special and was impressed! The crab cake appetizer was outstanding. It was fresh and bursting with flavor. The Pat LaFrieda burger was also delicious, though I requested it medium and it was served medium well/well done. Despite this, it remained juicy and flavorful.

I came in at 945 on a Saturday and maybe it was 1/5th full.Service was good but my truffle fettuccine was a tad bland and lukewarm.     We ran into this great lively bar scene and restaurant taking refuge from the rain last night. Friendly service & great food we shared for two. Fried zucchini, chicory & pine nut salad and chicken piccata. Food was served on unique floral plates. A bottle of Orvieto white wine was served with a bucket of ice. We topped off our meal with a perfect tiramisu. Fresh flowers arranged on the table. We will be back!

    My friend and I had a really great experience here! She had been before, but it was my first time and I highly recommend! We enjoyed the restaurant week menu, which had a great variety for all tastes. The ambiance was also really nice and service was timely. The best part of the experience was the service. Eric was our waiter and immediately was super warm and spoke to the menu options. He also was super apologetic and offered us a couple treats, because we had a slightly longer wait for our desserts (wasn’t an issue to us as everything else came fairly quickly). Overall, food was fantastic, and service was even better! Will definitely be back!

    Honestly the best service and the most amazing food. Got the pleasure of having Roberto as my waiter and he was so kind and funny and professional. If you’re in Manhattan this is a place you HAVE to visit. Can also recommend doing a longer lunch here, only $25 for three courses!

    This is a lovely location, our server was warm and knowledgeable and the food was very tasty… but the portions of everything were tiny ! I’m not a big woman, and in the old fashioned way, still count calories, but the $45.00 “prix fixe” tonight was an arugula salad with blood orange ( 4 thin slices of orange) ok it’s an appetizer, red snapper ( small, but well prepared) with sliced veggies and a very, very tiny piece of ricotta cheese cake. Maybe they were nervous about running out of these things ? Small but nicely prepared !

    Arte cafe is a great neighborhood Italian restaurant. They are very accommodating to kids and families which made dinning here stress free. Great chicken piccata and spaghetti with meatballs. AlsoEnjoyed the kale salad.

    Lovely restaurant! Seated promptly with a reservation and was lucky to land in Erick’s area. He was attentive and knowledgeable. Willing to provide suggestions, but not pushy.     As we sat down, we noticed the intimate setting and classic Italian feel. Our waiter Erick; who came right up and greeted us with the most enthusiastic and charismatic greeting, asked if we had any inquiries about the menu and took our order.     Arte Cafe is a family staple of ours. We ordered through the pandemic and we started dining indoors at the restaurant since last year. We have gone for adult/parent outings as well as family dinners. We even threw a special event at one of the 3 very versatile party rooms, just last month. Regardless of the event, we are always supremely happy with first and foremost the FOOD! It is CONSISTENTLY fresh, delicious, and reliably satisfying.Specific to our special event, Zoe, the Events Coordinator, was responsive, accomodating and flexible. AND KIND! She helped me plan my event, made helpful suggestions and made sure I was aware of any small nuances when it came to the rooms. Our lead server on the day of the event, Wilson, was also phenomenal. Nothing was rushed, nothing was frantic, it was calm, steady, and he was a reassuring presence that made helpful last minute adjustments.Strongly recommend for any big, small event or random night of dining out (or ordering in.)

    Great experience on my first visit during the noreaster last weekend. Nicely appointed space that is both cozy and SPACIOUS. So refreshing not to be crammed into a banquet with neighboring tables practically on top of you! Service was excellent: attentive but not overbearing. Good wine menu. Food was solid but not what I would call exceptional. Mushroom risotto was tasty but seemed a bit pricey at $32. Hard to find good restaurants (or any restaurants ;-) on the UWS. This is one I would definitely recommend to friends.

    I found this place through a friend for my bridal shower. Of course, I had to check it out for myself and try the food. To start, it was nice they give you some cheese, olives, and salami, with bread and olive oil while you wait to order. Our waiter Roberto, was absolutely amazing and extremely friendly. Whatever you want, he made it happen. My fiancé and I came here in the middle of the week to have lunch, and guess what, they have a $25 lunch prefix from 12-6PM that gives you an app, entree, AND dessert! We ordered the meatballs, beef carpaccio (+$2), chicken piccata, rigatoni in spicy vodka sauce, tiramisu and gelato. Everything was absolutely perfect and flavorful. The rigatoni was definitely spicier than I had expected, but I love spicy so it was good for me. I’m not sure how positions are with regular menu items, but the prefix will leave you pleased, as both of us were very satisfied.Overall, I am extremely happy with this dining experience and cannot wait for my bridal shower!     Outstanding service, food, and atmosphere! Servers were efficient but friendly and helpful. Atmosphere was beautiful, perfect for a celebration with friends or a date!     Wonderful service, quality food. This was a serendipitous find after a visit to the Museum of Natural Science. Chose the prix fix menu for $25 and it was a really good deal for a crab cake swimming in deliciously sautéed mushrooms, a burger cooked to perfection, gelato and a huge bottle of sparkling water. Staff brought it all to the next level.

    We love the food and service at Arte Cafe! It’s our favorite place. Everything is fresh and delicious always! We love the chicken paillard, Ceaser salad, salmon, penne pasta a la vodka, and the tiramisu! We especially love the host Geralyn. She goes out of her way to make sure we are happy and get our orders correctly and on time. Geralyn is amazing and makes us want to order from Arte all the time! She deserves praise and a raise!

    First time here and I really enjoyed it. The place is nice and clean and the service is excellent. I had the Classic Benedict with Canadian bacon and it was super well balanced. Nothing missing here in what you expect from a classic Benedict eggs. The Hollandaise sauce extremely well done with no drama nor poorness. The potatoes accompanying the eggs are also with the right amount of flavour, not overstepping on the Benedict. Theres also a small salad as a side and is a food combination. The mimosa was ok. I ran into this place by coincidence and Im glad I did. Id come back and I recommend this place.

    Probably the best Italian food Ive ever had. Even better than the Italian food in Italy!! Great service and a nice place to eat dinner with a group of friends/business partners. I could go on about the food for ages - all 4 of us were completely silent during the meal and ate fast, haha. My only complaint was that my portion size (the tortelli with ricotta and spinach) was noticeably smaller than everyone elses portion sizes.

    We were three Kentucky ladies who happened upon one of the sweetest and most special restaurants in New York this weekend. The atmosphere is incredibly intimate, such that you can have a long and quiet conversation even though it was busy. The food is fantastic and delicious, too! But, the greatest treasure of Arte Cafe is the staff, who made these Southern strangers feel like life-long friends and welcomed us into the establishment and we enjoyed great conversations with each of them as we recharged from a long day of exploring NYC. Arte Cafe, you are a true treasure and we cant wait to come back to New York and dine with you again! Thank you, the entire experience was the definition of Serendipity.

    From the moment you walk in you are treated like you’re family…. I have lived in NYC my whole life and I have been in this business since birth. It has become impossible to find attentive, professionals in this business let alone good food since covid BUT, today we have found our new place to escape the madness in this city! Roberto our AMAZING server made us laugh and feel like we were in another world while we ate at Arte Cafe for lunch. From the moment we stepped in and sat down was just pure perfection and joy…. WE DON’T WANT TO LEAVE but, I know we must and know WE WILL RETURN sooner than later.So if EVER you’re in NYC do yourself a favor and have lunch or dinner at Arte Cafe and make sure to ask for Roberto!

    It was love at first visit! The restaurant technically isnt wheelchair-accessible but they do have a very sturdy portable ramp. I was impressed! Far too often the portable ramp at restaurants is a scary thin piece of ply wood. Once inside, the restaurant is gorgeous, and spacious. I had no trouble maneuvering my motorized chair at all. The food was amazing! My friend and I both took advantage of the prix-fixe menu and we were not disappointed at all! The mushroom fettuccini and tiramisu were delicious! I recommend this restaurant 100%

    We only stopped in here at random, with no advance research or planning, because we liked the look of the place. And Im so glad that we did. We ended up having a terrific, modern Italian meal in a pleasant warm atmosphere without the usual overbearing background noise. My husbands eggplant parm was one of the best hes had in a while, and my cacio e pepe was almost too big to finish. Almost. I was slightly disappointed with the beef carpaccio, since it was served dry without any of the usual accompaniments, not even olive oil. But otherwise the meal was flawless.

    First year dinning for Thanksgiving with the family at Arte Cafe. The service was Top notch; so accommodating. I do not eat meat and did not want to be annoying and asked for additional of an item on the pre fixed menu. They offered branzino as an alternative option to turkey. SO GOOD! The meal was enough but not too much. I already loved this restaurant but made me love it even more. The manager not sure his name but clearly was just what you want a manager to be. Aware of what is going on around him and ao attentive to the clients needs. Please eat at this restaurant!!! I appreciate these workers for giving me a deliciousMeal and awesome service on this day of thanks.

    We went for lunch and had the Vongole, Pescatore, Carbonara, and a Margarita pizza. The food was excellent, and our favourite was the Pescatore. I forgot to take pictures, but we also had the cheesecake and Affogatto for dessert. The dessert was also super delicious. Our waiter was Roberto, and he was super friendly, as was the rest of the staff. Would definitely come back again next time we visit New York !

    I definitely made the right decision to host my sons 1st birthday party in the side room at Arte cafe. For the past three months, Zoe was super patient as we worked to solidify a contract, finalize the menu and she answered my many questions on a daily basis. The day of the party, the staff, specifically Wilson and Luciano, were exceptional. Aside from being very friendly, they tended to our every need, made sure the room was setup exactly how we wanted, and provided excellent service to our guests. I would highly recommend booking an event at Arte cafe.

    Delicious food. Good service. Typical Manhattan prices (non business tourist areas). Well laid out and decorated. One of few restaurants where the tables are so close together that you could almost accidentally eat your neighbors food.

    This place was nice. We are looking for places for an anniversary party so we had dinner here. I had the lasagna which clearly from the taste comes from an old recipe that should be gaurded with their lives. Lol. It was that good.My husband got the chicken parmesan. It came with a light red sauce which was perfect. Too many times a restaurant will smoother in sauce, sometimes feeling like its trying to cover up something. Also the breading was light and the chicken moist and a huge portion.We recommend this place and there two classic dishes.

    3.5 / 5.0 - I had a craving for carbonara and had enjoyed Arte Cafe’s Spaghetti Alla Carbonara ($24+) previously both dining in and for take-out, so I decided to order take-out again. Not sure if they’ve changed their recipe, but it was better previously, especially with a slice of crispy bacon on top.The complimentary cookies were a nice treat, though.I do like their outdoor dining set-up, so perhaps, I’ll try their happy hour next time.

    Love this neighborhood gem... great vibe, nice decor, terrific service and wonderful menu! Whether you want to dine at the bar (w/3 tvs), sit at a high-table nearby, or enjoy restaurant seating, youll be well looked-after. From the bread and extra virgin olive oil you know youre in a great spot. The servers are all attentive and friendly, while nice music plays in the background. And the menu selections and wine list offer a wide range of selections. Though we arrived near 9pm when the restaurant was packed, we werent rushed at all even when the restaurant had emptied out. Jennifer took terrific care of us and made us feel completely welcomed. We loved our Super Tuscan wine, side order of meatballs, lasagna and cacio e pepe. Will be back for sure!

    I just bought some prosciutto. WOW! Just WOW! I also got their home-made sopressata, amazing. And these pepper pretzel thingys! Im now in love with this place.     Such a lovely place... arte café has a really nice atmosphere and is very warm and inviting. We were in the area after seeing the nutcracker and we were just walking trying to find a good restaurant. We found arte café we looked at the menu that they have outside and we didnt want to walk anymore so we went in.. we were greeted and we showed our vaccine card and we were seated... our waitress was super nice and attentive we ordered our food and we were not expecting anything out of the ordinary....we ordered the fried calamari and the meatballs....they were delicious!!! we also ordered the pizza locale and the pasta with clams.. very good portions everything was fresh and delicious.. at the end we ordered the tiramisu which just blew my mind it was so creamy and delicious...we left so satisfied and so happy that we decided to go into arte café

    Went here for brunch with visiting family and had a great time. The brunch drink special comes with a bottle of champagne, rose, mimosa, or sangria and an entree for $29. Have one or two people in your party order the special, then split the drinks -- we enjoyed mixing the champagne and the sangria.

    Beat the crowd and sat at the bar with my partner and enjoyed great, engaging service from our bartender, Nicole. She had a delicious short rib quesadilla and I had the Caci y Pepe pasta with an excellent cab sauv. The wine overmatched the dish, but I relished it nonetheless. A very good time!

    Been coming here for years! Typically have the brunch, almost always the Classic Eggs Benedict but they only had a Mothers Day Menu on Sunday so I tried the clam pasta & of course had Bloody Marys. The clam pasta was awesome. Light & flavorful. Was craving another helping after I left. Also had the fried calamari. Was delicious! Every table around us seemed to order the calamari as well. Would love to sit in the back courtyard when the weather is a little better! Love this place & so happy it survived the pandemic! Will most definitely be back!

    An excellent menu with many Italian favorites. This may sound uninteresting to a well-traveled Upper West Sider but the preparation and presentation make it worthy of his or her consideration. We tried it partly because of its location convenient to the Beacon Theater and it was a very pleasant, afterdinner stroll to a show there. We also had the good fortune to dine there during New York Restaurant Week and enjoy their nicely done prix fixe offering. A lucky find.

    Ordered the grilled octopus (Polipo alla Griglia) and fried calamari (Calamari Fritti) for appetizers, both are not as flavorful as expected but have good texture. Portion are alright, not generous but definitely enough. For entrees we got the lobster spaghetti (Spaghetti all Aragosta) and the truffle pesto pizza (Tartufo) to share, pasta is good but nothing stands out unlike the pizza, which is really impressive, the mushroom and speck balanced each other, with a hint of black truffle that enhance the flavor, will definitely come back again for it. Overall decent experience, nice ambience in a dim setting thats good for small groups, waiter is friendly and attentive, reasonable priced (~$40 per person), would recommend!

    A classic of the UWS, Ive been here many times since I came to the city. Quiet an cozy place, rarely crowdy, you can talk comfortably with friends or clients. The fix price menu is probably one of the best in NY in terms of quality/price. The olive oil and bread are delicious. Check the Rigatoni Siciliana or the Rigatoni Pollo Pazzo.
