    Bar Goyana is the most lovely, welcoming taste of Brazil in NYC. My husband and I were first introduced to this gem by friends, and then knew that we had to have our wedding dinner here. My husband is from Rio de Janeiro and was thrilled to find a Brazilian spot so close to us. Jackie and Johan (the owners) are truly the best - some of the nicest people we’ve ever met ❤️ They helped make our day so special. Now we love going for any occasion and especially love going for the parties and themed nights they host!

    Everything about this restaurant is stellar and phenomenal. The food is delicious and fresh. The drinks are incredible. The attention, care and artistry given to the presentation and details are top notch. Most striking, however, is the customer service on all levels. Every member of the staff - the bartender, the manager and especially our server - took such good care of us. Such a wonderful experience

    I can’t say enough of good things in this restaurant. The cocktails are fancy and delicious so we got 2 glasses for each of us! The appetizers are just incredible tasty(we ordered 4 out of 6 from the menu) so I recommend you should try all of them. Moreover, you MUST try Brazilian Chicken Fricasse OMG it’s sooooo goooood!!!! The staffs are very efficient, happy, and polite. Highly recommended for Bar Goyana!!!! We’ll definitely be back soon :)) sorry I didn’t have a lot of food pics(it’s all gone so quickly right after they put them on the table 😂)

    This place is an absolute hidden gem in Harlem! Delicious cocktails and appetizers!! On the weekends the serve a traditional Brazilian feijoada, sooo yummy! The staff are so friendly and welcoming! Just want to hang by their bar for an hour and try the entire menu! Thank you goyana team for the incredible hospitality!

    I had an amazing family lunch at this Brazilian restaurant, and everything was perfect. The warm, tropical, and classic ambiance made us feel right at home.     This spot is such a gem! Perfect place for a date night or a chill dinner and drinks night with a few friends. Wonderful twist on some very homey Brazilian bites and the caipirinhas are perfectly.. and I mean perfectly made! Our bartender named Ish took care of us last weekend and did such an amazing job with everything! This place is a whole vibe and so cute!- we will most definitely be returning.

    We had a great lunch yesterday with Jovana- the food was so good and we loved the service and feel of the Bar/Dining Room. We sat at a high top and had the Pastel, Queijo Coalho, and Jalepeno Parmesan Pao de queijo - then of course… TWO feijoadas. My wife had their incredible capareñas (guava/passion fruit), and I had multiple Duvals.Delicious meal, can’t wait to come back.

    A really nice spot that we discovered near our place of stay. Its a small place but it gas an awesome ambience. We went near the closing hour, so we just had a drink (the kitchen was closed at the time we arrived) buy they were fantastic, tasty and refreshing. I tried the caipirinha guava and my wife the goyana cocktail. A nice option to chill out with friends.

    I wanted to give Bar Goyana the biggest shout-out!!!We came to celebrate a friends doctoral defense and were greeted with amazing service and yummy drinks/food. I want to say thank you to the phenomenal staff who were always so accommodating, welcomed everyone with a smile, and went out of there way to make this a special celebration!!

    One of my favorite restaurants in NYC and the best Brazilian restaurant you can find in NY! It’s beautifully decorated, the cocktails are incredible, the food is absolutely delicious and the service friendly and efficient. I love going there, it’s a place with great energy! I know for sure I will always have a good time, eat and drink well. They sometimes do street parties like festa junina, roda de samba, and they are super fun! I am Brazilian myself and this is the only place I’ve been that I feel like I’m eating my mom’s food. Every dish and cocktail comes with a flower, they’re always nicely decorated, you can tell everything is made with love, and the price is incredible for a NYC restaurant. Just go there and see for yourself ! You’ll feel like you are a part of the family and become a regular, like I did. I highly recommend it!

    Im Brazilian and have been leaving in Queens, NY since 2019. It means I know what is a good food.I got say that I got surprised about how flavored the food here is!My friends, my wife and I had lunch at Bar Giovana last Saturday.We had Feijoada and it was very good. It is a big plate, but not big enough for 2 people so you will have to order with that in mind.We tried the Brusqueta and the Queijo Coalho as an entrees, THEY WERE AMAZING!Leandro, the waiter was great and very kind as well.We will definitely come back.

    I have been meaning to write this post for some time! We love this fabulous place and chose to celebrate our child’s birthday in March here. As someone who has lived in Brazil and travels there often, we love the food as it’s just the right amount of deliciousness. The owners are so lovely and it feels like a wonderful place to celebrate, eat and indulge in Brazil! It is authentic feijoada on saturdays like they do in rio and the mousse next door is a perfect portion of yum for dessert! We love this place and they work well to celebrate for small groups. Highly recommend as they will take good care of you and your party

    You can’t miss coming here. First game of the World Cup and the Brazilians welcomed our giant Ecuadorian group for the game. Shout out to the bartenders and workers.     Update: service has been quicker the last couple times Ive gone back and its still fantastic, bumping this up to 5 stars.Great rum, cachaça, and tequila/mezcal based cocktails - try the caju caipirinha. Happy hour specials are worth it. The food is excellent, rich but not greasy. The atmosphere is very nice, great for a date or small group. The only reason its not 5 stars for me is that service was pretty slow, it took a really long time to get the check when we wanted to leave. But it was great overall and we will definitely be back.Salada do cerrado was tasty and fresh, the passion fruit dressing was excellent. Feijoada and chicken fricassee were both rich and delicious.

    My friends and I had a wonderful experience when we went for their prix fixe menu during NYC Restaurant Week. The food was AMAZING, and the restaurants interior was picture perfect.     The place is a delight, an artistic Brazilian decoration, a very well chosen musical repertoire. Various Caipirinhas, all of this already sounds wonderful, but when you taste the food, romance happens. The fricassee is divine.
