    This place is a fantastic French bistro! 🇫🇷 Bar Six 6️⃣ serves a wonderful selection of delicious 🤤 dishes 🍽️ and dessert - definitely get the Chocolate-covered 🍫 Profiteroles with Vanilla Ice Cream! 🍨 Staff 👨‍🍳 is super friendly and professional, service is quick ⏲️, the ambience 🎶 is great, and the place is beautifully decorated! 🛋️ I wish I knew about this place earlier and came here more often!

    I dined here with my friend for a meal on Dec. 30t. It was my first time here. It is nice inside.. However the young waitress never greeted us. She never smiled. We were not demanding. We asked for another table in another area. It was not busy! I had tuna sandwich which was good! But the service was not there!

    Neighborhood gem frequented by long-standing customers on Sundays. It has a homely vibe elevated by cozy interiors. Loved the baked eggs, wished I asked for extra merguez sausage. Cocktails are pretty standard at reasonable prices.Service was pretty quick and servers were attentive. It can be a bit noisy at peak times but nothing too unpleasant.

    Loved the omelette with the potatoes. The potatoes were perfectly cooked and the omelette was delicious. The banana pancakes were exactly what you would expect — fresh and thin.Loved the vibes in here — perfect for the holiday season. Only con was our server — he didn’t refill our waters or check on us once.

    What a fabulous restaurant! I had my birthday dinner here last night and it absolutely exceeded my expectations. The steak frites/filet mignon was cooked to perfection! Fantastic service as well. Vibes are 10/10. I can’t wait to come back!

    This cute restaurant has a decent amount of indoor and outdoor seating for the area. The waitress who served me was super nice. Service was quick, but I did not feel rushed. I ordered the mushroom risotto which was the perfect portion. The flavor was balanced and the meal didn’t make me feel heavy after I was done. It was really good and the perfect meal for a gloomy (or any) day.

    Loved this little accidental find. Intended to just stop for a cocktail but the menu and food looked so good we ordered the hummus plate. Cocktails were amazing, and a surprisingly big and quality draft beer list. Cute and cozy vibe, and following all Covid protocols which is super appreciated. Will be back!

    Quiet night out! We found this place after checking in to our hotel late afternoon. It was the perfect place to unwind with a great drink menu and even better food selection. We ordered a few items and shared them. French onion soup, mushroom risotto, and their famous steak frites (recommended by our waitress). Everything was cooked to perfection and full of flavor. We will be back.

    The staff here is very friendly and honest. The food is very fresh and the bartender was very attentive. Let me also say I left my backpack with computer there last night and when I went to get it in the morning they held it for me. I thought for sure my laptop would have been missing, but surely it was there safe and sound. As for the food I highly recommend the shrimp cocktail and risotto dish.

    Very nice and upscale dining experience! I stumbled on to this place by complete accident! There is a weekend special for $25 you get a brunch cocktail, brunch special and coffee! We all know how expensive New York can be so that’s a steal in my book!

    5 stars food. Maybe the best French onion soup around period. 5 stars service. Awesome. Attentive. Friendly. 5 stars atmosphere. An adult restaurant and bar. I love this place! It even does have happy hour but here’s the lost star. Happy hour here ends at 530. That’s just crazy to me.

    Stopped in for lunch on a quick trip to NY from KY. Appetizers, meal, & dessert was all delicious. Atmosphere was very cozy & comfortable. Staff was personable & very attentive. Felt right at home! Highly recommend choosing this restaurant rather than any other spots around!

    Moroccan/French food. Had the escargot & Moroccan meatballs for appetizers. Good portions and very flavorful. For the mains we had the Risotto, Coq au Vin & Skate fish. They were very skillfully cooked and delicious. The restaurant is understated and has an excellent chef rivaling a lot of other restaurants in NYC.

    Great food & service! Stopped in a couple weeks ago for a turkey burger and it did not disappoint. Great tasting tea and food with a cozy atmosphere. Would absolutely love to come back if I am ever in the area again! Check came with a cute postcard as well to commemorate my visit!

    Have been dining here at least once a month for years --brunch, lunch, dinner. Always a pleasant experience. Food is delicious and consistent. Service is friendly and swift.Update: Immediately began dining outside as soon as NYC pandemic laws allowed. So nice to see many of the old staff. Service still great. Good-size menu selection. As always, delicious food. Note: They continue to go out of their way to make outside dining comfortable and safe, even as the weather turns cold.

    So many cool people here. The tequila negroni was a bit smokey for my taste. Maybe it was mezcal. That makes more sense right? Smokey mezcal. I love thos place though. Very French theme with all the mirrors with the menu written on them. Also the Peach martini is badass. Eat the food here too cuz its yummy. Sometimes youll see famous people here, and sometimes youll just see people who look famous. Enjoy!! Best glass of ice water in town and the toilets are clean and functional.

    How the proprietors of Bar Six have managed to maintain such a level of excellence for so long Ill never know, but Ive been going there for at least 25 years and my company and I leave happy, satisfied and often delighted by the whole experience. Go! By all means!

    Great spot for brunch. Cant wait to go back to try their French onion soup. A friend of mine comes here regularly and I see why. I had the Norwegian for brunch. It was delicious. The coffee, service, and ambiance were all great as well. Definitely looking forward to visiting this place again.

    This bar is a neighborhood gem! Romantic dimly lit vibe. Not only are the drinks amazing but the food is incredible. I ordered the Morrccan spiced shrimp. It was incredible. The tomato couscous it came with was cooked perfectly. The dish transported me back to my visit to Morocco a few years ago. Especially when I saw this restaurant also serves tagine dishes as well.

    I ordered delivery. Everything came packaged well. The mussels were delicious and the potion was huge / split in 2 large plastic containers each with plenty of the Provençal sauce.?I didn’t find the second container right away but the first was enough so I will have more tomorrow. I requested they add some bread for dipping in the sauce and they gave 2 big slices of delicious grilled bread. The whole steamed chilled artichoke with aioli garlic sauce was fabulous- just what I was craving. This type of artichoke is very hard to find on menus anymore. The Caesar salad was large, crispy and fresh with plenty of shaved parmigiana cheese and 2 salad dressing containers. I asked for extra dressing.I got an order of thin fries which needed to be reheated and crisped in the oven. They had the skin on and were delicious- came with plenty of ketchup. I will have left overs for lunch tomorrow. It was one of the best take out experiences I have had. I will order other dishes again to sample the menu. I got 10% off my first online order. The food is a bit pricey but a great treat for quality food. I will dine in person as well. I noticed they have a nice cocktail menu.

    Reliable, reasonable neighborhood bistro. Ambiance is great (French casual), its not usually packed. Menu is consistent, theres always French onion soup, for example. Service unfriendly enough, not top notch, but fine for local establishment. This place has been here for decades and isnt pretentious. I hope it never disappears!

    The ambiance of this establishment at dusk was delightful....deep dark colors soaked in warm light. The steak frites (medium rare) was spot on, and the cauliflower tagine was very good (and a preposterous amount of food).

    The burger is not grass fed. Although the menu doesn’t say it is, the waitress assured me that it was. Let’s just say my gut does NOT respond well (for days) when I eat grain fed beef. Perhaps she confused the burger with the steaks, which apparently are grass fed. Either way, she caused me a couple of days of discomfort. Also, the bread they use in French onion soup is lame. Everything else was good.

    This place has a very warm atmosphere and super friendly staff. I had a whole steamed artichoke with garlic and oil, that was cooked to perfection and the delicious organic baby kale salad with beets and homemade ricotta cheese. This was my fourth time eating here and will definitely not be my last.

    If you want to be transported into a Parisian bistro, come to Bar Six. With a bar up front and smaller tables and full dining room in the back, Bar Six is great to stop in for a drink and snack as well as a full meal. I ordered the salmon which came with so many vegetables, it was like ordering a meal and sides! My friend got the skate and said it was the best she had ever had.The service was good, atmosphere was perfect, prices are reasonable.I will definitely stop in here again. Im so happy to have a restaurant like this around the corner from me.

    Popped in for a drink after a meal and I wish I had skipped the other place and just come here. The food spelt and looked amazing. The bar vibe was great the bar tender and the patrons were all gracious and easy to chat with. Ill go back next time for some french onion.

    The Merquez sausage is still divine, as is their Hollandaise. Their grilled potatoes used to be worth driving in from Westchester but for some reason has been deleted from the menu or this would be a five rather than a four. Hopefully, eventually they will return. If they ever resume the live jazz that will be very nice as well.

    This is a wonderful little French bistro filled with Greenwich village locals. I’ve been here a few times now and the food is consistently great! I’ve ordered east coast oysters which were sweet and fresh, steak frites which had a wonderful herbed butter, and the French dip sandwich which came with a fantastic au ju.Cocktails here are perfectly crafted and the beer in the photo is really great!

    A cool place for either drinks or meals around the neighborhood. My friend enjoys the vibes here over a decade so he recommended me to come. Ppl were friendly and the food was good.I had the spices shrimp with couscous. It was a little bit pricy but delicious.The puff was recommended by the staff for the dessert. Two huge one, love the ice cream and the hot chocolate fudge but the puff was a little soggy.Would like to go back again!

    After a day of walking through New York I met my brother for dinner and he brought me to this lovely bistro. We started with the Calamari and drinks. I had the mushroom risotto and this was the best part. So creamy and flavored just right. The portions are definitely big and well worth the price. I ate most of it (one would after walking close to 14,000 steps and not eating much) and savored every bite. My brother had th Steak Frites, tender cut of steak cooked to perfection. I will definitely recommend to anyone visiting or living in NYC to come visit.

    I read reviews before coming here and am still surprised about the bad reviews, this place was great! Staff were lovely and were so patient with us as my friend and I catched up over brunch after such a long time! Food was great and came out really quickly and hot!     My brother made a reservation mistakenly thinking it was another restaurant we had dined previously. Boy were we glad he did! The menu selections were amazing and it was so difficult to choose.     We stopped in to wet our whistles after a long walk from the Chelsea Piers, where we were docked as we passed through NYC. Kenny the bartender was so friendly, gave us some great recommendations for our next stops. Although we didnt try the food having eaten in the Chelsea Market, the menu looked terrific.     Stopped in to have a drink during happy hour, and if I didnt have to meet folks I would have definitely stayed. I saw some people getting food and it looked really great.     We visited for dinner twice in three days. A gem of a neighbourhood favourite, you can tell its the beating heart of the area. Everyone in the place is having a great time--single-diners, couples, groups.Visiting family who live on the block, it was perfect for the six of us. The French backbone with Moroccan influences makes for a great menu. They keep it tight in terms of whats on offer and its all the better for it. From the shrimp cocktail, mussels, oysters, burger, pasta...it was all wonderful.Look out for the bisteeya (Moroccan chicken pie over ratatouille), penne provencal (simple, excellent, veggie-friendly), and the chunky tuna nicoise salad. All really excellent.The staff are wonderful. Both attentive and friendly, but not too much so. Im looking forward to my next visit.

    Best place for an afternoon drink where you have the bar not to yourself, but just the right amount of others about you. LOVE the decor, design and atmosphere. Great bartenders - I once changed my mind about a drink after it was already poured and the bartender had no problem making an exchange. The food is also quite good - during the winter, I love stopping in for their soup of the day. GREAT spot.

    Went for drinks. Place is cute, cozy atmosphere. Heat was on way too high, they turned it down but it came back on and was too hot again. Wear short sleeves. Calamari was tasty, had a nutty flavor which was unique. Drinks are not too pricey. Popular place so may have to wait/stand if going during peak hours.

    I love the atmosphere and the design of the inside. This is a relaxed bar with great drinks and service. I had a few long island ice teas here and they were made just right, good and strong so enjoy those if you get them. The bathrooms are single toilets.     Bar 6 is a long-standing classy restaurant. Food is simple and delicious, with a French - Moroccan motif. The wait staff is friendly and helpful. Decoration makes you feel good. Examples of good menu items are burgers and Moroccan marquez sausages. Wine is good though it might have gone a little downhill during the COVID-19 epidemic. Prices are not cheap, but they are in line for the location. One downcheck -- the bar is tiny. It is hard to get a seat for just a casual drink.
