The Barcade in Chelsea has always been my favorite location of theirs, because the size of the joint and game selection is excellent. The Discs of Tron cabinet alone keeps me coming back year after year, and then of course there’s Joust!I also can’t think of many bars or restaurants where the food and snacks started out good and kept getting better, but the Chelsea Barcade has done it. My wife and I recently stopped in and had the ‘Bama Chicken Sandwich and the Jersey Burger, and both were delicious! The accompanying fries also came out super hot, crispy, and in large portions. Avery, the bartender, was so friendly and made an excellent drink recommendation that my wife appreciated. Can’t wait to come by again soon!P.S. - Can you please bring back Golden Axe??? -

Prefer this location over downtown. Bigger, more open space, and better-maintained in my opinion. We went earlier in the day shortly after they opened, so everything was very clean and in order (including the bathroom). Most arcades token operated...taking 1-2 tokens for most games. Tokens can be purchased from machines throughout the space at 0.25 cents each.. (4/$1, 20/$5...).Service both at the bar and at the arcade area were great. Nice to see staff testing out the machines throughout the space. All machines we tried were working as expected.Beer prices were fair (for NYC) at about $8. Pints for the more common weaker stuff (under 6% or so) and 10oz. pours for the stronger stuff.Very easy to get to in the midtown area...lots of major stations and transportation hubs closeby.Given the average prices for beer and food, youd definitely want to go there for the games...think of it is an arcade that serves beer and food...not a bar/restaurant with an arcade. -

This was a fun place to hangout to play retro arcade games and drink. They have a good amount of games (they have 4 player pacman!) and a large space so you’re not crammed. They have a large craft beer selection, and their prices are decent! The food is typical bar food, tastes better after drinking. They have some tables along with bar space, which is nice! -
Review 4 (2025-01-04 - Rating: 5)
Absolutely love the energy and vibe of this place. Grab some tokens and drinks and lose yourself in the nostalgia of pinball and old arcade classics. (There are a lot of wild new games - please try the game Bishi Bashy it will have you cracking up.The bar tender we had was quiet but fantastic drinks expert. Please try the Rose Blood and Brooklyn Mule. The token value is great and the cost of food and drinks is good value -

Always a fun place! I love their arcade machines. They have good drinks too. I’ve been too St.marks, Chelsea, jersey city, Brooklyn locations and I liked all of them. It’s a great place to spend time with your friends. 👍🏻 -

As an 80s guy, I got sucked into this place with some of my all time favorites. Though I didn’t eat, the selection of crafts on tap was impressive and the game selection was a blast. -
Review 7 (2022-03-08 - Rating: 5)
This place is so fun! We come here pretty often to play games and get a drink. They rotate their taps often which is awesome. The beers can be a bit hit or miss but there’s always plenty to try! The food is what you’d expect from a bar like this it’s not great but it’s not bad. You can play quite a few games for around $5-10 worth of tokens so it’s affordable to come play. I’ll continue coming back here it’s so much fun and a great atmosphere! -

Is like nostalgia and clubbing had a loving child: Barcade. At first, looks like a gimmick. Old videogames and alcohol? Make no mistake, I dont drink. I was there for the games. I were in similar themed bars in Denver and other places. . . And I had a blast ! People from all over the world (Me included) just crossing punches in street fighter, or showing off how to pass levels in sunset riders. Patrons were great and nerds just like me having a great time. A hidden gem in NYC !. Pricing: Good. I mean is NYC, so expect things to be pricey, but it was surprisingly good. Will I return? a resounding YES ! -
Review 9 (2021-08-12 - Rating: 5)
Fun place with the best old arcade games. Clean. Games are 25 to 75 cents tops. Bartender makes great strong drinks. Fun for date night -
Review 10 (2023-09-06 - Rating: 5)
Good drinks fair price, arcade games (take token’s $.25 per coin) not many games mostly old school but is fine at least they all work good (21 and older only) -
Review 11 (2022-03-22 - Rating: 4)
A great spot for retro gaming, beers, and decent food. The chicken waffle sandwich isn’t included in their €15 lunch menu but it’s stacked and tasted great. Lost a star for questionable fountain drinks though, far too much syrup going on there! -
Review 12 (2022-04-25 - Rating: 5)
Whether you’re a noob, an amateur, or a pro at classic arcade games, you’re sure to have a great time here! $5 in tokens lasted me about an hour and the cocktail selection is nice and well priced! I had a slight issue with something but the staff were more than fine with helping me which is always a cherry on top.I hope to visit the location in Brooklyn with different arcade games soon. -
Review 13 (2018-06-04 - Rating: 5)
I am really impressed with this place I came in to a warm welcome with a relaxed vibe as if no one is staring at you . I am not much of a drinker but they have a large selection on tap . As for the food I am not a fan of bar food but this place proved me wrong I got a lunch special for $15 and it took a little time but my gawd it was good everything was fresh like I was a eating some 5 star over price meal , I tip my hat to the chef .They have a large number of vintage arcade games and I felt I wanted to try them all . So I highly recommend stopping this place -

Review 19 (2019-09-16 - Rating: 4)
Nice bar where you can grab a drink and play a good variety of arcade games with friends. *They check your ID before you can enter. The games all require these tokens to play or u can use quarters. They have exchange machines inside for the tokens in case you dont have any coins. Some of the games required more tokens than the others. Overall, it was a nice place to visit. -
Review 20 (2018-12-19 - Rating: 5)
Great side street bar with a very nice atmosphere, selling all sorts of different beers and ales, it has lots of different retro video arcade machines all over the place, very friendly staff who are prepared to go e you advice on the different beers that they sell, great vibe and definitely recommend if you fancy a drink in new york -

Fun place with lots of arcade game options (and a full list on their site). Gluten free and veg options too for food! Tater tots were excellent. -
Review 22 (2024-11-03 - Rating: 4)
Here you can drink and play with old arcade games or flipper. But besides the arcade games - its just a typical bar in NYC. -

The games are fun ! Good service and clean place.Got the second and third high scores on the Fix it Felix Jr game (from Wreck it Ralph :D )The bathroom is full of graffitis, but actually clean :) -
Review 30 (2024-11-13 - Rating: 5)
I had a great time here with my partner! Great place to go on a date or with friends! The tokens for the arcade is very cheap and I loved the atmosphere! We sat at the bar for a while and had a great conversation with the bartender (who I sadly forgot his name). The security at the door was the only not-friendly-AT-ALL at the place, other than that it’s s must go ! -
Review 31 (2024-10-19 - Rating: 5)
I always have a great time there. The staff is always great, and the atmosphere is very nostalgic -

Review 33 (2018-11-01 - Rating: 4)
Amazing selection of arcade games but will avoid weekends. Saturday was packed and the music was way too loud to enjoy the games or my friends company -
Review 34 (2023-11-23 - Rating: 5)
I loved it there. It was always chilled and fun. It is super easy to get into contact with new people, especially when playing Pac-Man.They have all the old arcade machines and even flippers (also with newer themes like stranger things). There are racing and shooting games but also the classic jump and run and fighting games like Mortal Kombat or Street Fighter. They have a wide offer of beers and there was like a group party with finger food.We always asked the guys behind the bar to change us a few dollar bills, so we could get tokens at the machine.I think the prices for the games are fair and it is a lot of fun. -
Review 35 (2019-08-05 - Rating: 4)

Review 38 (2019-10-05 - Rating: 5)
Excellent bar with great games. Its reasonably priced, and you can play for a few hours on 10 bucks of quarters. -
Review 39 (2022-11-08 - Rating: 5)
As an avid gamer and beer enthusiast, I absolutely LOVE this place. On occasion, it does get pretty crowded, but for the most part its still a fun time. The beer selection is pretty great, its always fun to try out a new beer while playing the diverse selection of retro games they have. Its always a great time for me and my friends, and I would highly recommend it to anyone who has even a mild interest in any of these two things. -
Review 40 (2019-10-07 - Rating: 5)
Very cool! Tons of arcade games for a very cheap price. Nice beer menu. -
Review 41 (2023-10-28 - Rating: 5)
Perfect barcade experience right in NYC! I go here every time I hit up the city. The drinks are top notch, the served food is really good- should not be confused with common bar snacks! Actual burgers and fries and the like! -
Review 42 (2023-11-01 - Rating: 5)
This place is absolutely incredible! 🤩 Barcade is a fantastic bar and arcade that includes an endless selection of draft beers 🍻 and an impressive collection of old and new arcade games 🕹️: 4P Pac-Man, X-Men, pinball, co-op shooters, and so much more! Really enjoyed spending time here and trying out all the game stations! 🎮 Bar 🍺 staff is friendly and the service is quick! ⏲️ I wish I came here more often! -

Review 44 (2018-10-17 - Rating: 5)
Beer and games are awesome, a really cool place to have a really fun time! -
Review 45 (2022-02-26 - Rating: 4)
This place is pretty cool. The games are fun and old school. The food is basic bar food nothing to write home about. Their bread and butter is the atmosphere and positive vibes. The stuff is pretty cool. Bring cash with you because you need cash for the tokens to play the games. Most games are 2 to 1 token each. The ATM is 2 for the fee which is better than most bars in the city. Overall I did like the place, however when it gets crowded it will be hard to maneuver. -
Review 46 (2023-05-24 - Rating: 5)
This was a neat find. All there. Arcade games are 25 cents and they have a change machine. Pinball machines are three quarters which is pretty good. Big selection of beer. We didnt eat there but the food looked good. They have long hours too -
Review 47 (2022-04-06 - Rating: 5)
Absolutely LOVE! We came from upstate NY. Was so excited to come here and throw down on the games. Good drinks. Would come again. -

Review 49 (2022-09-09 - Rating: 5)
Very cool retro place, not too expensive for a fun alternative night arcading! -
Review 50 (2023-08-24 - Rating: 5)
I love the music. Its everything I wanted to hear from King Diamond to Depeche Mode. I only came for a drink but stayed for the atmosphere and the games. I like it so much I bought 2 t shirts. The classic Arcades are what makes its here. Welcome and cool. Im not from NYC but I felt right at home. Who ever is this DJ is got the tunes going. -
Review 51 (2023-11-14 - Rating: 5)
Had been here about 7 years ago and it was a proper games bar... mario kart, life-size jengas, ski ball, all sorts of games. When I just recently went it was/is strictly an arcade bar with just tons and tons of different árcade games. Still a cool spot, bit of a rocker type scene, mix of all ages. -
Review 52 (2020-02-13 - Rating: 5)
Fun bar with good choices of beer and tons of arcade games. Drinks are not too pricey and service is attentive. -
Review 53 (2023-10-06 - Rating: 4)
A neat little arcade with a bar. Staff and security was really helpful and nice. Come here for the arcade games and the atmosphere. brought back so much great memories. Most games cost 25 cents or one token per game. -
Review 54 (2024-05-25 - Rating: 5)
This is one of my favorite places to go to. A nice sized bar and a wide selection of beers to choose from. The games range from your classics to more modern titles. Theres enough variety to entertain most people. It can get crowded during peak hours so I like to go in the afternoon before 6 pm on the weekends. That way you can have space to comfortably play and enjoy your beverage.Ive been multiple times since it opened at this location and NEVER had any issues or saw any issues while there. Everyone seems to be respectful and into having a fun time. -
Review 55 (2024-09-01 - Rating: 4)
The games are fun and affordable. If you go with friends the Japanese button game gives a lot of bang for your buck. The drinks are over priced but I think its to make up for the affordable games so Id say drink before going. Youre not allowed to bring drinks inside, they also occasionally check bags. Also bring cash for tokens. -
Review 56 (2023-11-01 - Rating: 5)
I was not expecting the serious level of rare cabinets they have. The crown jewel is the Sega Time Traveler hologram game. The beer I had was good and reasonably priced. -
Review 57 (2017-11-19 - Rating: 4)
GO for the vintage arcade games (naturally). Food is meh. Drinks the same. Stay away from their Jeff Goldblum cocktail! -
Review 58 (2023-09-21 - Rating: 5)
Even though I don’t drink and I didn’t eat any food, it was extremely fun, especially the 3-player tap Japaneese game. We spent so much coins! Our team activity was so much fun at this place! -
Review 59 (2023-12-12 - Rating: 5)
Barcade in New York City is a nostalgic haven for gamers and beer enthusiasts alike, offering a unique blend of retro arcade games and a vibrant bar atmosphere. While the NYC location holds its own charm, its hard not to acknowledge that the true gem of the Barcade empire lies in its original home in Williamsburg.Walking into Barcade NYC is like stepping into a time machine that transports you straight to the vibrant and pixelated world of 1980s arcades. The array of classic games lining the walls, the neon lights, and the energetic hum of joysticks and buttons being pressed create an atmosphere that is both lively and reminiscent of a bygone era.The NYC location is nothing short of amazing, with a fantastic selection of both vintage and modern arcade games, complemented by a diverse menu of craft beers. The bartenders are friendly, the service is efficient, and the overall vibe is one of camaraderie and fun. Its a perfect spot for a night out with friends or a unique date night experience. What truly sets Barcade apart, and keeps me coming back, is the microbrewerys unique selection of craft beers. The rotating taps feature an array of brews that you wont find in your average bar. From hoppy IPAs to rich stouts, each visit to Barcade is an opportunity to explore and savor new and distinctive flavors. The commitment to featuring a diverse and ever-changing lineup of beers is a testament to Barcades dedication to the craft beer culture. It adds an extra layer of excitement to the experience, making each visit a journey of discovery for both gaming and beer enthusiasts alike. While Barcade NYC is a fantastic destination in its own right, the Williamsburg location with its industrial charm and originality adds a unique touch to the Barcade journey. Whether youre there for the classic games, the craft beers, or a bit of both, Barcade manages to create an experience that keeps you coming back for more. Its a delightful marriage of nostalgia, innovation, and, of course, great beer. -

Very fun place to be at! (saying this as a tourist)many games to pick from, can be a little crowded at times. or certain games can be occupied for a while. would recommend this for everyone who is looking for a fun night out with friends or as a date etc -
Review 61 (2023-07-22 - Rating: 5)
And coming here for a little while nice little hotspot for people who like to have fun probably more geared to those 35 and younger but Im 50 and older and love the music love playing old school video and pinball games and having fun ...great place to take a date too if youre in the city. Met some girl at a concert and brought her there and things worked out pretty well ( though she did have her sister with her) Bartenders are friendly one in particular his name is Scott made me feel very welcome, conversational and I come back to visit him with friends when Im in the city from New Jersey and hang out. Atmosphere is really good again everybodys there just to have fun, drink, eat, socialize, play games and the music...love it... if you like 80s and alternative music then youll be happy camper like I am ( first time I walked in they were playing The Smiths and Jesus and Mary Chain and I was in heaven. We had some kind of mozzarella cheese fritters and it was actually extremely good!!! better than your standard mozzarella sticks and a pretty hearty portion at that. If youre around 24th and 7th Avenue consider yourself to be a kind of fun person I would say stop in and give it a shot, if you dont like it ...leave. -
Review 62 (2024-11-01 - Rating: 5)
Came in the day on Thursday and Friday. Great beer selection. Food was really good. And good selection of games including some classics. -
Review 63 (2022-11-07 - Rating: 4)
Cute, fun, young and lively spot. Good option for colder evenings or bad weather, especially. Bring cash for tokens so you can play all the games (which are all .25 cents- .50 cents a play). The machines don’t use quarters but instead the tokens available there. I was disappointed by the lack of DDR lol but otherwise good game variety. Crowded but not too crowded. Bar had great selection of beers on tap and there was some bar food on the menu though we didn’t indulge! -
Review 64 (2024-12-19 - Rating: 4)
Beer, video games & bar food atmosphere. Music was too loud to have conversation. An hour was enough.. -
Review 65 (2022-10-10 - Rating: 5)
Of all of the bars I have been to in NYC, THIS is my favorite! Husband and I spent at least a couple of hours here drinking delicious, reasonably priced beer and playing awesome arcade games. We will definitely be back probably multiple times the next time we are in NYC. Staff are really fun and attentive. -
Review 66 (2019-09-30 - Rating: 5)
I helped to organize a company outing here at the Chelsea location, and it was fantastic. Everyone was talking about it the next day. The top shelf open bar with food and unlimited games was definitely the way to go. Theres nothing like games and great food to bring people together. We all knew the games would be fun, but we didnt expect the food to be so delicious! There are quite a few food snobs amongst us, and all were impressed. The short rib grilled cheese was the winner, but everything was great. I loved the purple veggie burgers too. I highly recommend Barcade for a group event. We had 30 people and it was perfect. -
Review 67 (2023-04-30 - Rating: 5)
If you grew up in arcades, and then got older and started going to bars, this is the place for you. they have many of the classics like Asteroids, Millipedes, and fun new ones too. Lots of tap bear, its a really fun place. -
Review 68 (2020-02-13 - Rating: 5)
I went last night, a Wednesday night, and it was the perfect level of busy. There were available seats and plenty of available games, but also so many people to talk to. Great conversations. I loved my beers, 3 that I just picked at random. The games all work great and are in fantastic condition. -
Review 69 (2022-07-04 - Rating: 4)
They need to invest their expense on games repairs. Some games steal your token (quarter) and just arent at working capacity. Not a big space so it can get competitive to just move around to not spill your drink. But overall great atmosphere. -
Review 70 (2023-08-26 - Rating: 4)
Fun place, but its the pretty damn stellar beer selection - WOW! Didnt expect that. Good rock/alternative music too. Went for a work team outing. Plenty of fun games, retro and new, a few pinball machines, and a 4 player Pac-Man game. Great for team bonding, you can get packages that incl. food, drinks, and game tokens. The food was fine, the beer selection STELLAR. Looking forward to coming back! -
Review 71 (2024-11-20 - Rating: 5)
Gem of chelsea nightlife, absolute ton of beers on tap and tons of arcade games from known to obscure . Great place to spend a night with friends having a game night like when you were a kid dumping quarters into one with your friends. The wings are also some of the best in the area so do give them a try. All the bar tenders are phenominal and take care of their regualrs. -
Review 72 (2023-04-24 - Rating: 5)
Barcade I went before and will go again had a great time thoroughly went adventurous with a few drinks and the bar snacks were just what we needed to top it off . They need some combos though cuz it can get a bit pricey. It was nice to play all the games that gave me the unavoidable Atari Arm from playing too much when I was younger 😁 -
Review 73 (2018-07-20 - Rating: 5)
Throwback to my childhood, such an amazing choise of games, its a unique experience and something that only people that bored on the 80`s can completely understand. Ill definitely go back there to play more Game when I will be in the city -
Review 74 (2023-01-27 - Rating: 5)
Barcade is average priced for NYC, and its such a fun place! I really enjoyed the games, and the food & drinks were tasty. I had the loaded nachos with pork and a Brooklyn Mule and loved both. My friends enjoyed their food & drinks as well! The staff all seemed friendly, they actually made a mistake with my order at first but were so nice about it and fixed it right away -

Definitely a fun spot! For a date. A chill out wirh friends. And a good time! Lots of fun arcades and good selection of beer! Highly recommend and will come again! $10 bought me more than enough tokens for a handful of fun! -
Review 77 (2021-06-17 - Rating: 5)
Stopped into Barcade while in NY on business. Ordered the Cheeseburger, perfectly cooked at the requested medium rare. It was simple and basic and, quite honestly, the best burger I ever had. The bartender was active and attentive and was wonderfully interactive. I apologize for forgetting your name Sir. We stopped in 6/10/21. My friend and I loved the atmosphere. We left a pile of tokens in the back table for whoever wanted them. I will definitely return the next time I am in NY. -

Home away from home. This is my spot to get away from the world for a while. You know what its about; pub grub, great beer and classic games. But please fix the controls on the Street Fighter Alpha 2 cab : -
Review 79 (2023-06-29 - Rating: 4)
One of my favorite places to hang with friends, grab a beer, and play some games! The place can get a little crowded but that should be expected in popular bars like this. Coming here is a great time! -
Review 80 (2024-08-25 - Rating: 4)
I liked the arcade and bar concept. They had a variety of draft beer. My daughter and I had a good time at this location. Will come back again. -
Review 81 (2023-08-19 - Rating: 5)
Good beer list and an even better games selection. Not expensive too! (Many games still only 25c! - none over 75c). Good vibe in there! -
Review 82 (2022-11-12 - Rating: 5)
First time going to this location, and we had a blast playing all the arcade games, and they had a huge variety of different games to offer. I love how they had the original pacman and donkey Kong arcade games so it definitely brought me back to when I was a kid! Highly recommend! -

If youre looking for a bar with a retro feel appeal to it, then this is the place for you. They have video games in here just like in the 80s; how cool is that? In addition to the drinks youll want to check out the food menu; quite interesting to explore. -

Great if you like to play video games on retro consoles while drinking craft beer. Its a fun date spot and has a nice food selection too if you get hungry. The games arent too challenging, so its fun for a gamer of any level.Good job with the atmosphere guys! -
Review 87 (2018-06-16 - Rating: 5)
Bartenders are awesome. No wait staff - only a clean up crew and they will bring the food to your table. Order food and drinks at the bar. Nice vintage games. Nice open area with wood floors. Big 80s feel. Rose wine tastes a bit watered down - maybe not good quality. Go for the many beers on tap instead ! -

Absolutely had a blast! What an idea! A BARCADE! Got to meet some friends Ive been gaming with for nearly 20 years and what better place than the Barcade in New York City! Drinks were reasonably priced, and I really enjoyed their hard seltzers! The games were reasonably priced, and we all enjoyed the extremely large selection they had to choose from. Cant wait to come back! -

Great selection of both beers and games. Its a really casual, if not crowded, place to get pretty good bar food and hang out for a while playing games. If you are a beer fan, then youll want to check out what they have on the hand drawn cask selection. Youll find classic games like Donkey Kong and Joust, all for just a quarter. -

Tough to not like an arcade. 5-7 weekdays they have $1 off special. I usually try and get here before the crowds around 7 -

Fun atmosphere with great happy hour specials. Bartenders were super nice and helpful; I usually dont like beer but they managed to find me one I actually enjoyed! Went with a group of 30 people and there was still plenty of room at the bar. -

Happy Hour M-F ~4-7pm. They have a good variety of games, most of which are classics and some Ive never seen before. Screens didnt seem to have any burn-in. They have a decent size bar, but I couldnt stay long enough to try their drinks or food. -

I discovered a time machine, reminiscing about my youth. Great idea to have vintage arcades and be able to enjoy a drink. It tends to get crowed.I had fun. Definitely going to spend my tip $ here. I definitely recommend this spot. -

Fantastic blast in the past! A lot of fun and atmosphere! a great bar too and a great crowd! Highly recommended for any arcade games fans out there and any nostalgia fans of the 80s! (also got a great location in jersey city!) -
Review 95 (2023-05-27 - Rating: 5)
Good selection of pins and beer. All the pins played really well. With the exception of Dialed In which was not level and leaned to the left hard! But its all good. -
Review 96 (2021-09-12 - Rating: 5)
Excellent bar service, arcade games must be played with tokens. Most games take 1 token, with pinball taking 3. ATM available if you don’t bring cash (only dispenses $20 bills, though).I have always found Barcade to be a fun time. Games like Tapper and Mrs Pac-Man can’t be beat. Not to mention, they’ve got a great beer list. -
Review 97 (2022-01-09 - Rating: 5)
Awesome fun - super friendly staff and really good value. $10 got us about 2 hours of fun and the game selection is great! They also had a good selection of drinks and the food is good. -
Review 98 (2017-03-08 - Rating: 4)
Great selection of beer, games were reasonably priced. However, the selection is fairly limited, could use a shooter game TIME CRISIS!!!! Some of the multi player games did not have working controls for all players. Overall, great place to hang out and drink beer. -
Review 99 (2019-11-04 - Rating: 5)
This is a great place to start youre night, spend your night, or end your night. Its good for groups because it allows people to split up and rejoin throughout the night, and its a good place for just two, theres a few two player games and watching friends play is amusing too. Ive been here about three times and never had to really wait for a game, people move about, no one really hogs a machine. Its a but annoying to come during the winter because carrying your coat around is an inconvenience. They have a GREAT beer list, too, with some unusual and special selections. -
Review 100 (2021-06-24 - Rating: 4)
Great spot for retro arcades & bar food. Only negative is that they forget to bring our starter food out. Not sure if its cause bartenders forgot to put it in the system or chef was visibly on his phone ignoring orders! Bartender made up for it with drinks though. -
Review 101 (2022-03-08 - Rating: 5)
Barcade combines two great activities together: drinking and gaming! it has a great selection of retro games. from pacman to xmen to helicopter shooters. The racing game was a highlight for me. each game cost only 50 cents per play. The drinks were reasonably priced, and the service was very efficient. -
Review 102 (2017-11-28 - Rating: 4)
Great beer selection with detailed descriptions on the menu. The bartender was friendly and attentive. We came hoping there would be games like Skee-Ball but it is all video games. Still a cool spot & plenty of room to move around & check things out or sit at the bar. -
Review 103 (2018-03-28 - Rating: 4)
Great selection of 80s and 90s arcade machines that wont break the back. Most start around 25 cents and go up to 50. You can procure tokens but best to just bring some quarters. Beer selection is good, food was solid, and bartenders were willing to give you samples to help you choose exactly what you want to drink. -
Review 104 (2019-06-09 - Rating: 5)
Great place to go and get hammered while enjoying the multitudes of different nostalgia inducing arcade games. I decided to try out one of their specialty beers, of which they have many to choose from a wall behind them. Very busy, but you will enjoy your time -

Awesome place for vintage gaming. Went on a Friday so it was super packed. Didnt get to try the food. Didnt get to try too many games but Mortal Kombat, and Primal Rage left side joysticks were working properly. Front door bouncer super nice didnt get his name but hes an amazing artist and very friendly. Bathroom is a graffiti artist dream. -

Review 107 (2015-11-21 - Rating: 4)
Fun place to play some classic arcade games. The selection of games, as well as craft beers, is pretty extensive. It can get super crowded, so avoid the after work hours and opt for late afternoon/early evening in the weekend and youll have run of the place. Wait staff seems kind of indifferent, but its not a deal breaker. -
Review 108 (2019-08-24 - Rating: 4)
Good time! They have plenty of options on tap (very affordable too) and it only took us 2-3 minutes to get a drink. A lot of throwback arcade games too. Definitely recommend. -

Barcade is a super fun bar for groups, dates or just to blow off some steam. I loved the old school arcade vibe and the beer selection was really great (bartenders were super informative and friendly). Their happy hour is a pretty good deal (a beer and a shot for 10$), and makes for a really fun time! -

Cool, fun spot with tasty bar food (including a decent veggie burger), cheerful staff, artisanal beers, full bar, and plenty of arcade games. Only 5 pinball machines when I was here (including Iron Maiden, Addam’s Family, Avengers) but I’ll take it on my stop through. -
Review 116 (2018-01-10 - Rating: 5)
Great classic videogames. This location larger than the 8th st location. You need to purchase tokens to play from a machine, and a few games rotate out so there seems to be a new game every so often. The bar food and drinks are hearty because you can build up a bit of heat playing. They have a sit down racing game, and I never had to wait too long to play a game any time I have gone here. -

If youre a 90s kid like me I dont think there is anything better than the juxtaposition of classic arcade games and adult beverages. Great staff, great beer selection and very reasonably priced arcade games makes for a great time for friends. If youre in the city and have a few hour to burn or just want to have a few drinks while playing Galaga this is the place to go. -

This is a gem bar. If you like arcades, give it a try. Lots of kinds of draught beer will be waiting for you. They also serve food. A token to play is 0.25$. The games are ok although i was expecting better varieties. -

Review 124 (2017-12-31 - Rating: 4)
Great spot for a night out for a small group. The place does get crowded on the weekends and it gets difficult to move around and place some of the more popular games. Theres a solid collection of games and most (if not so all) are 25 or 50 cents a game. Classics like pac man, joust, nba jam, metal slug, crazy taxi and Daytona USA are all there and much more. The bar has a good selection of beer and wine as well. Overall great spot -

One of my favorite places on the planet. I joked to my now husband, back when we were wedding planning, that we should have the reception here. He rightfully noted that I would have all my favorite people there and I’d be ignoring them to play Ms Pac-Man. Yup! Beer + Galaga = heaven. -

Awesome idea: beer and old school arcade games. I went in here on a rainy day while staying in New York, after having read about it. The gaming machines were well kept an all of them were functional. It was a great blast from the past as I wrestled against the poor joysticks of the time and the lowres that can make any man blind after a while. I mean that in a good way. Only downside was the waitress who seemed slightly annoyed with the whole thing. She started by asking me if I was here to get warm. As if I was just there to spend air and waste their time. I thought it was a strange way to greet customers. Oh and not even a comment on a $6 tip on a $30 bill. Anyway, great idea and execution of the arcade and beers. 4/5 - Would come again. -

My husband and I had fun time with our cousins on 4th of July. We had drinks and food. Then we were playing video games for 2 hours. It was such a fun day. The place was not that crowded. I had non alcoholic ginger beer which very spicy and sweet and liked it. -
Review 132 (2022-10-17 - Rating: 5)
Much larger arcade than expected! Lots of different cabinets to choose from, tables in between to place your drink down safely, pinball machines, japanese minigame machine, and amazing selections of beer that were unexpectedly affordable and delicious.A definite must go, I ended up buying one of their neat King Diamond-esque merch shirts! Honestly I could rant and rave about it for days, just go! -

Great selection of craft beer, great bar food, and plenty of 80s and 90s arcade games for entertainment. The bartenders are friendly and knowledgeable. Located around the Flatiron/Chelsea area, about a half mile south of Penn Station & Madison Square Garden, it should be easily accessible for most NYers. -
Review 148 (2019-02-10 - Rating: 4)
If you’re into retro arcade games, check out this place. Not much different than other arcade bars I’ve been to in various other cities but I did like how the high scores were posted on a chalkboard along the back wall. The games run on tokens and there’s 2 machines that dispense tokens, about 25 or 50 cents to play. The drinks were fairly inexpensive ($7-9 a pint, $6 a shot) and I didn’t try the food but it looked good. -

Barcade in Chelsea is my 2nd fave spot behind Williamsburg. Its so unassuming that you might just walk right by it. Good time to go is on Saturday between 1p-4p when its not crowded. The Star Wars Trilogy Arcade game is MINE!! Have fun! -

This is hands down the best arcade in NYC for adults. The bartenders are polite and courteous despite how busy they are on a Saturday night. And the selection of games is beyond reproach. I love coming here. -
Review 152 (2017-07-02 - Rating: 5)
Decent beer selection and a lot of people. Expect it to be noisy so if youre with a group chances are youll be yelling in any conversations. Staff is friendly and reasonably responsive. -

Good little selection of pinball machines that play well (and a bunch of arcade games). Nice touch when one of the Tech dudes gave me a free play after helping out with a stuck ball. Bar seemed to have a good selection and there’s just a fun (and kinda loud) atmosphere inside. -
