I went here on my birthday and had a great experience.First time coming here so I didnt know what to expect but Im glad I found this place. The food and drinks were great and the customer service was very good, no complaints whatsoever.I will definitely come back here again for some food and drinks. Hit them up if youre in the area.

  • Review 2 (2024-05-08 - Rating: 5)

Started coming here because of Tuesday trivia night. Trivia host is so much fun! And the food is good. Bartenders are kind and service is fast.

  • Review 3 (2023-07-22 - Rating: 4)

This is an old school haunt for me. I was happy to see, returning 10 years later, that not much has changed. The bar is still well maintained, but the charm from the early 2000s 8s still there. The only significant change that I saw was that pool table area in the basement is now a stage. Still, it was nice place to hang out for a little while on a Saturday afternoon and talk to the friendly bartender.

  • Review 4 (2023-09-26 - Rating: 5)

Local here. This is a great spot to grab a quick bite to eat and drink. Prices are great for the area. Keep your expectations in line for a bar like this and you will leave happy, and likely meet some nice people.

By far the best dive bar in the west village! The staff are unbelievably friendly and always welcoming. The owner clearly cares a lot about this establishment and it shows in how he treats his customers. There is always a rotating selection of (great) beers! Very underpriced for this area of Manhattan. Not only that but the fries have become my favorite.Sports guy/girl? Say no more. There are dozens of TVs constantly playing current sporting events and the owner is always happy to change the channel to what you want to watch!Don’t miss this sleeper! It’s a gem

  • Review 6 (2022-05-10 - Rating: 5)

The BEST bar in the village! I’m a local and am here multiple times a week. The staff are incredibly personable & warm, there’s always a vast & delicious variety of beers on tap, and the fries are the absolute best. The owner is one of my favorite people in the world, and he always goes out of his way to make you feel remembered and special. The customer service is truly top notch, and the outstanding drinks & bar food make the experience even more amazing.I could not recommend this bar more, and hope they continue to thrive!

  • Review 7 (2024-12-05 - Rating: 5)

Cara is the best hands down!! Thank you for the great experience!!! 15/10 Ill see you soon.

  • Review 8 (2021-06-17 - Rating: 5)

Great pub with large draft beer selection.TVS everywhere for all sports events

  • Review 9 (2024-08-20 - Rating: 5)

Great place for Tuesday night trivia! Food is standard pub fare but all in all good. Drinks could be either a little stronger or a little larger for the price. Recommend the chicken fajita wrap and the pulled pork!

  • Review 10 (2019-07-21 - Rating: 5)

A great experience here on a Thursday night. I went here with friends and we were able to find an empty table in the center of the bar. The selection of beers and wines are unique (I ended up getting a Montauk IPA). The service is friendly and prompt. The space is very open and the vibe less noisy and more relaxed compared to other bars in the area.

  • Review 11 (2020-01-09 - Rating: 4)

Plenty of tv’s for the sports fans. Good selection of craft beers and a full bar. Didn’t try the food menu but beer was a good price at happy hour for $5 (starts at 11:30 am!). Low key mellow bartender who was polite and not pushy as an added bonus.

  • Review 12 (2013-11-25 - Rating: 4)

I was here for a birthday party. We had the whole basement for us.I really enjoyed the place. The basement has a pool table, a dart board and a Big Buck Hunter game. The pool and the video game costs a few dollars to play, but it was fun anyway. The beer prices were pretty good, but they dont have some more of the common beers other places have. I dont know about the food, as I havent ordered anything from the kitchen.

  • Review 13 (2018-08-16 - Rating: 4)

Its a cool place and the basement is empty so it could be a place to have a large gathering of friends. In summer, it feels a bit muggy and smells damp, but we still hung it in the basement. There is also a pool table there. There is a good variety of bar food, in addition, a nice avocado salad, and good selection of bets. Service was professional and friendly.

  • Review 14 (2019-08-12 - Rating: 4)

Came here on a Sunday. Happy hour is 11-8 EVERY DAY. Nuff said. Good beer for $5? Yes please! Plus their fries were absolutely amazing. Worth a try for sure.

  • Review 15 (2016-07-25 - Rating: 5)

Great neighborhood pub in New York City. Moderately priced; great ales on tap and excellent pub food. Friendly service. Not too loud; plenty of flat screens with almost any game available.

  • Review 16 (2021-01-12 - Rating: 5)

Been going here for almost 20 years. Awesome owner, uncomplicated and relaxed vibe with a great comfort food menu and an impressive beer selection. Especially when times are hard like this, ordering off their menu helps a lot when looking for normalcy.

  • Review 17 (2015-09-12 - Rating: 4)

A cozy little bar. Nice booth seating for small groups. The bar counter space is not the largest Ive seen, but enough to accommodate enough patrons.Ive not had any food there, but they seem to have a good selection on their menu.

  • Review 18 (2016-04-24 - Rating: 5)

Great spot. Relatively cheap beer, great food and cool vibe with good music. Its more of a low key place and its got a regular crowd - so if you want something more lively, better to go somewhere else.

  • Review 19 (2012-03-02 - Rating: 4)

Ive gone to the Barrow Street Ale House several times for their Monday night wing nights. Wings are $.40 each and their Sam Adams draft beers (lager or seasonal) are just $3. With their wide-screen TVs, it makes for a great place to watch Monday Night Football. Beer selection is extensive, but nothing special. Same goes for food. They have a game area downstairs with pool tables, darts and Buck-Hunter. Great place for a low-key night.

  • Review 20 (2018-12-21 - Rating: 4)

It was fine. Five dollar beer happy hour is good. Clientele mentioned that its a lot nicer than it was previously - as a tourist I have no frame of reference but there it is

  • Review 21 (2020-07-13 - Rating: 5)

Excellent neighborhood bar. Drafts are half priced through 8PM (I believe). Food is good—recommend the burger, cheesesteak or quesadilla. The staff is friendly as well.

  • Review 22 (2019-03-28 - Rating: 4)

Great beer selection and a decent happy hour.

  • Review 23 (2019-11-26 - Rating: 4)

Historic local bar with TV screens. Good place to grab some food, beer and watch sport

  • Review 24 (2019-04-29 - Rating: 5)

Best bar experience I had in New York. Medium size beer list but quality beers and the friendliest staff Ive found in nyc

  • Review 25 (2022-12-18 - Rating: 4)

Just what we were looking for. A little off the beaten path, a little divey, decent beer selection. Tons of NFL games on. I’d come back.

  • Review 26 (2022-01-16 - Rating: 5)

Legit spot with good a good bbq sandwich and really friendly wait staff. A good place to watch the game and get out of the cold.

  • Review 27 (2019-12-27 - Rating: 5)

  • Review 30 (2017-10-28 - Rating: 5)

Just the place I needed. Not exactly my day-drinking dark-bar place, but pretty damn close. Glad that I came, will be glad to return.

  • Review 33 (2019-01-01 - Rating: 5)

After going to 5 different bars that had 100 dollar covers on nye we went here and they had no cover for probably the same stuff!

  • Review 34 (2022-08-14 - Rating: 4)

Make sure to check bottle list (solid selection), if whats on draft isnt what you are looking for.

  • Review 35 (2021-10-02 - Rating: 5)

Good selection of beer. Outdoor sitting is excellent

  • Review 36 (2023-01-20 - Rating: 4)

Great place if you like good, drinks, and a jukebox. Who doesnt! Their burger is very put together very well, as is the ambiance.

  • Review 37 (2017-01-07 - Rating: 4)

Excellent beer selection. Good place to watch a game.

  • Review 38 (2022-01-23 - Rating: 4)

Cool place to hang out. They have good food and drinks. I went there to watch football and it was packed but I had a great time. They also have outdoor seating with TV.

  • Review 39 (2018-05-16 - Rating: 5)

Nice place. Food isn’t bad. Friendly staff

  • Review 40 (2024-05-03 - Rating: 5)

Great spot darts in the basement

  • Review 41 (2011-09-21 - Rating: 5)

This is one of my favorite places to head to when Im in the West Village. Its on a quieter side street and has tons of room for large groups. I love that the booths can sit up to 10 people, and that the bar is long enough to accommodate pub crawlers.Delicious selection of food - from burgers to seafood to amaaaaaaazing tots. Really good beer selection (like Toasted Lager), on draft and in bottle. The bathrooms ARE tiny, but clean!

  • Review 42 (2014-01-02 - Rating: 4)

Barrow Street AleHouse is an old standby. Beer selection is decent; usual suspects on draught and a more varied selection by the bottle. Service is pleasant. It can be quite busy during football season and later in the evenings, but go early or on an off day to snag a seat at the bar or one of the many booths. A relaxed place to hang out with friends.

  • Review 43 (2021-04-25 - Rating: 5)

I give a high five, because the price is really great in regards to their location, waitress gave me a fair service.Only that I advice you to order nothing rather than bottled 🐻.

  • Review 44 (2021-08-14 - Rating: 5)

Great to stop on my old local ale house for cheap drinks and great service

  • Review 45 (2018-07-25 - Rating: 5)

Great bar with a good beer selection and good happy hour. Very friendly bartenders. They have trivia and it can get busy then, but otherwise a chill weekday bar.

  • Review 46 (2020-07-16 - Rating: 5)

Great time. Glad the restaurants are opening up again. Thank you Enrique. Great service.

  • Review 47 (2019-05-01 - Rating: 5)

Awsome place to watch soccer! I love it

  • Review 48 (2018-10-06 - Rating: 4)

Solid place to go if you’re in the area to watch a game. Lots of tvs and although it sometimes gets busy, it seems there are always a table or two available. Ok beer selection. Better than the average but doesn’t have the selection of a “beer bar.”

  • Review 49 (2012-01-18 - Rating: 4)

We ended up here after the Super Bowl last night. It was super packed with people. The place was a decent size and managed to draw a fair-sized crowd (when other places wed wondered into were sparsely populated). However to not be super swamped, the bartenders werent super attentive and the crowd got to be a little obnoxious at times and was just overall ehhhh. Not a bad spot to wander into though. Looked like they had a decent selection of beer and call mixed drinks were pretty reasonably priced for Manhattan ($6 vs. $5 well).

  • Review 50 (2016-04-22 - Rating: 4)

Stumbled upon this place on a bar crawl. Cheapest drinks Ive found in NYC. 11-8 Happy Hour! Too dark for the middle of the day though.

  • Review 51 (2011-09-02 - Rating: 4)

Youre not coming here to pick up chicks (although you can); youre coming here for a good consistent pour with a good looking wait staff that will sit and have conversations with you...something you dont get in this neighborhood. Great bar for watching a game with some friends.

  • Review 52 (2017-12-28 - Rating: 5)

    Really love this place

  • Review 53 (2012-06-07 - Rating: 4)

This should be a staple for anyone looking for a cold beer and good bar food. Come on Tuesdays for $3 drafts to wash down your Buffalo Wings or Buffalo Shrimp.
