Came here last night for a birthday dinner party and had a fabulous time! Loved the ambiance, and the classic movies projecting on the wall. Great for a girls night, date night, or self love night. The food was filling and absolutely delicious. The drinks were on point with cute toppers. I had the coco fashion with a roasted marshmallow and rosemary which you could still smell as I enjoyed my drink. I had the fish special with mushroom sauce over mashed potatoes absolutely nothing left when I was done. Also had the beets salad which I was unable to photograph because it was too delicious I couldnt wait, so HIGHLY RECOMMENDED. Everything was so well balanced and will definitely be back again. The service was attentive and courteous.

We attended Bea quite late after seeing a Broadway show. My daughter is vegetarian and finding places that have decent vegetarian options has been a little difficult, but Bea fit the bill. She got the gnocchi and I got the “green pasta” and we both nearly licked the dishes clean. We can say that this has been the best meal we’ve had in New York so far. We wrapped up dinner with the warm brownie dessert, which was also fabulous. Decor and ambiance was great, but it was a little loud, however, I chalk that up mostly to arriving at 10pm for dinner. It was more of a “drinks” crowd at that time. We may be back again this trip, and that failing, definitely on our next visit to NY.

Absolutely amazing experience at Bea’s New York! We tried the herb roasted chicken and spicy lamb meatballs, and I can confidently say this is some of the best food Ive ever eaten—no exaggeration. The chicken was perfectly cooked, bursting with flavor and seasoned to perfection. Each bite was a delight, showcasing the care and skill that went into its preparation. The spicy lamb meatballs were equally impressive; they were juicy and packed with a fantastic blend of spices that left me craving more. The atmosphere of the restaurant was incredibly cozy, making it the perfect spot to enjoy a meal. The music added to the ambiance, creating a relaxed yet vibrant setting that made the evening feel special.I also ordered the Coco Fashion cocktail, which looked stunning when it arrived. While the drink was a bit strong for my taste, the toasted marshmallow on top was absolutely phenomenal—the perfect sweet touch that complemented the cocktail beautifully. The aroma was divine, adding an extra layer to the experience.Overall, Bea’s New York exceeded my expectations in every way. I can’t wait to return and explore more of their menu! Highly recommend!

Chose this place at random but had a great experience. Service was great and their cocktails were creative. I ordered the chicken with farro and was pleasantly surprised. Juicy chicken and savory farro. Would recommend!

What a wonderful experience after our off-Broadway show! At the recommendation of the playwright, we took the 3 minute walk down 43rd to Bea and enjoyed the array of cuisine. The drinks were delicious, the food good and hot, and the service prompt. I highly recommend and would definitely dine here again!

  • Review 6 (2023-08-31 - Rating: 5)

OMG...where do I start? This is a fabulous place with delicious food and terrific service. I cannot describe this without many adjectives. My bartender was the best! She did an amazing job. The chicken was absolutely superb! I loved my experience here!

  • Review 7 (2023-11-27 - Rating: 5)

A weekly indulgence as locals in the area. I absolutely love the smokin Wicked Witch cocktail. PS You cant go wrong with anything on the menu. Try the duck turnovers and your mind will be blown. 🦆🤯 Thanks Bea for always delivering a classic, NYC, prohibition style experience.

  • Review 8 (2024-11-03 - Rating: 5)

My mom and I originally had plans to eat somewhere else but when we passed Bea we had to stop in and check it out. We had the intuition that it was going to be a great experience and we were right. They have a garden room that we happened to be seated in which was so pretty. It was very crowded and lively with people which usually means that the food is scrumptious. To start, we ordered the brussels sprouts and for our entrees I ordered baby scallops and my mom chose the herb roasted chicken. Both main courses were tasty and flavorful but not the most filling which isn’t the biggest deal. The ambiance was beautiful as the lights were dim which gave off a cozy feel. I definitely recommend this place to anyone in the Hell’s Kitchen area of Manhattan as you will not be disappointed!

  • Review 9 (2024-12-12 - Rating: 5)

Dark & cozy, serving food late. We had excellent service and the food was top notch. The drinks were fantastic too. Will definitely be back on our next visit to Manhattan.

  • Review 10 (2024-10-28 - Rating: 4)

I would go here again with either one person or a small group - its too loud for more than 4 people at a table to be able to comfortably talk. Manhattan prices so expect to pay up ($17 cocktails, $30 entrees, etc.). Food and drinks were all good - I always appreciate a cider on tap and mocktail options.

  • Review 11 (2023-09-04 - Rating: 5)

2nd visit the BEA and just as good as the first time. Will be on my list every time I get to New York. Perfect spot for a pre-show meal. Great food, service and atmosphere. Love the decor throughout the restaurant and the atrium area is awesome. Thanks for a great dinner.

  • Review 12 (2024-10-23 - Rating: 5)

The lighting is mad dark, but is a great after-show spot that seems to be open late in this post-pandemic age we live in today. The food is beyond. Can get a bit pricey. Drinks are nice. Atmosphere I gave 4 stars only bc the music is loud and you have to compete with it if youre trying to have a conversation.

  • Review 13 (2024-12-18 - Rating: 5)

The mimosa and Bloody Mary were refreshing. The Huevos Rancheros had a flavorful mix of spices, while the Tuna Melt on a sesame bagel was elevated by the addition of habanero peppers, giving it a delicious kick. A great spot for brunch and a lively ambiance!

  • Review 14 (2024-03-04 - Rating: 5)

Had such a nice experience at Bea! The atmosphere, service and food was amazing. Had a very homey and intimate vibe. They are extremely accommodating to diets as well. Cant wait to go back!

  • Review 15 (2023-03-16 - Rating: 5)

Came here for my birthday. The ambiance is amazing! The service was great, the food was outstanding and the drinks were pretty and strong! I highly recommend Bea and will definitely be returning! Thank you for the giant birthday sundae!

  • Review 16 (2018-02-28 - Rating: 5)

The service was great. They were able to assign us a table in spite of the fact that we didnt have a reservation. A wonderfully diverse crowd. The restaurant is loud. Drinks are flavorful and food is freshly prepared. Absolutely loved that I love Lucy was being projected on the wall.

  • Review 17 (2023-11-18 - Rating: 4)

They have decent food and pretty reasonably priced local beer selection especially for a bar/restaurant in Manhattan. Happy that my friend took me to this place.

  • Review 18 (2024-10-08 - Rating: 4)

My daughter and I came to NY for a girls trip. The Margherita pizza here was delicious but the beet salad was lacking. It came with candied pecans and goat cheese and literally had one piece of candied pecan and a teaspoon of goat cheese in one corner of the salad. Service was not great. It was not busy but took forever to get service. After our plates cleared, took forever to get the bill. Great atmosphere and friendly but not my fav place.

  • Review 19 (2023-01-03 - Rating: 5)

My husband and I dined last week visiting from CT and we loved our experience and meal. Our waitress was great, she even noticed our table was wobbly and corrected it! The pork dumplings were delish. My husband had the steak and he loved that it had a little kick to it and I loved my gnocchi! A great dinner before we went to see a show!

  • Review 20 (2024-10-30 - Rating: 5)

Love how this place is opened late for us people on a different timezone. Bonus that they serve wonderful food and wines too. The shrimp toast with pickled onions and guacamole has a lovely chili kick to it on crispy flatbread. The scallops come piping hot and is fab if you’re looking for something light and not heavy. Sits on a bed of asparagus and sprinkled with cherry tomatoes and microgreens. The broth is also very tasty. Highly recommend if you’re looking for something tasty late night!

  • Review 21 (2018-05-23 - Rating: 4)

The brunch concept is great and the food was very tasty. But, the service was SLOW. I dont know if its because of the brunch hours, but it took them a lot of time to bring the next dishes, even after weve asked. So- just make sure you are quick to order...

  • Review 22 (2024-12-13 - Rating: 4)

Quaint local restaurant. Like the B&W movies projected on the wall. The food was good but the wine was better 😄 Its difficult to have a conversation with anyone since it is quite loud.

  • Review 23 (2024-12-31 - Rating: 5)

We loved our dinner at Bea.

  • Review 24 (2024-09-03 - Rating: 5)

Cozy and welcoming atmosphere. Waitress was very friendly and helpful. Delicious food and dessert.

  • Review 25 (2018-07-27 - Rating: 4)

Nice joint with some tasty food fare. The ever popular green pasta w/ shrimp was a great safe move. Tasted exactly how I expected, but Im now dreaming about the lamb chops I was advised to get..The baby scallop dish is exquisite and they piiiilllee on the scallops! My wife was low key blown away how generous they were.Drinks are fancy and delicious. Beers are good too.

  • Review 26 (2018-08-09 - Rating: 5)

We were looking for a creative place and a change from the usual grind and Bea completely fit the bill. The executive chef dies an excellent job of creating flavor and making sure each dish is multidimensional. The restaurant itself is pretty attractive as well, cleanly laid out and showing old black and white movies on the walls. All of this and you dont break the bank eating here either. We will definitely be back.

  • Review 27 (2024-01-13 - Rating: 5)

Love this place. Cool black and white movies on the walls and huge bar with amazing cocktails. Brett is a great bartender. Everyone is so friendly and food is delicious.

  • Review 28 (2022-07-18 - Rating: 5)

First time going to this place for brunch and wow i was so pleasantly surprised!! i got the prefix with the spicy lamb meatballs, candied bacon, and the quiche and they were all incredible on their own and eaten together (i would order the tomato sauce without the meatballs if i could haha). my friend got the brioche french toast and that was so delicious as well. portions, ambiance, and service were all great! excited to come back and try some more of the menu :-)

  • Review 29 (2024-04-08 - Rating: 5)

This restaurant was a recommendation from a local and really made our trip to the city even more memorable. Now is my favorite place in New York to have the best experience from food and atmosphere.

  • Review 30 (2022-06-28 - Rating: 4)

Had a great time here with my people . I liked my friends fries but did not enjoy my own pasta dish .Loved the ambience of the restaurant and our waiter was friendly .

  • Review 31 (2019-08-12 - Rating: 4)

The food was simply delicious and fresh!Kale salad had light dressing and a great ratio of kale to cheese. The steak and eggs was a nice dish. Steak wasn’t very seasoned but the eggs were perfectly cooked: pillowy and luxurious!!The candied bacon was the best part of brunch!!!!!! Soooooooo delicious and not overly sweet but still spiced and seasoned to a T.The cappuccino was ehhhh not a cohesive drink but the coffee was flavorful. The mimosa was alright, not strong enough way too much OJ but still ok.I’d recommend going to Bea for a delicious brunch at a very affordable price in a lively and romantic atmosphere!

  • Review 32 (2024-06-14 - Rating: 5)

Found Bea using Google reviews and had an early dinner before seeing Billy Joel. Very much appreciate getting to choose the front room to sit in, it has a lively vibe with the beautiful bar and street view. We had the dumplings to start, salmon and redfish entrees, and split the brownie dessert. All very good and recommend. The drinks were good and you knew you had received an alcoholic beverage - thanks for not skimping on the liquor like so many places do. Would definitely return!

  • Review 33 (2023-05-06 - Rating: 5)

The candlelight ambience is very nice & cosy. staff were also super friendly & helpful if you have any questions. i ordered their pretzel bun burger medium, & the meat came out juicy & nice, not over cooked at all. fries were also crispy & good! overall, i’ll definitely come back here again

  • Review 34 (2022-10-02 - Rating: 5)

Popped in here on a whim and so happy I did! Matthew was an excellent bartender! Their food is on point as well. Only took a photo of the delicious tomato soup, but the presentation of the other dishes was picture worthy.

  • Review 35 (2023-01-06 - Rating: 4)

Atmosphere is the best here, and they play movies on the walls! Food was good, although we only had drinks and appetizers.

  • Review 36 (2024-05-02 - Rating: 4)

We loved the food and liked the ambiance. Our food took a very long time to come out, we were the first ones in when it opened and others who came in long after us had their food first. A runner delivered our food and our server never checked on us during the meal. With that said, my filet mignon was worth the wait, it was one of the very best meals I’ve had. Our server recommended a wine to go with it and the pairing was perfect. The hostess who greeted us was amazing, with a warm, sparkling attitude. I can see why BEA is so busy.

  • Review 37 (2023-12-05 - Rating: 5)

My mom and I had a good experience at Bea when we were in NYC for the holidays. Things were so swamped so we got there for an early dinner around 5 and got a table with relative ease. The waitress was very nice and helpful. She helped me pick a wine for with my Gnocchi and it was perfect. The only reason I didnt give it 5 stars for food is because my dish was little bland. The tomato sauce did seem pretty fresh which I liked but left just a little to be desired in terms of seasoning. My mom got the burger and seemed to enjoy that. It looked juicy and flavorful, but I tried the fries and were mediocre. Its a little dark, which gave what I thought was a nice atmosphere, but if you dont like that just know that going in. Overall I would recommend for a quick bite and a good drink.

  • Review 38 (2024-08-06 - Rating: 5)

Great place to dine in close proximity to Moulin Rouge. Our party of 4 fully enjoyed our menu selections and the service provided.

  • Review 39 (2022-12-27 - Rating: 5)

Bea serves wonderful green pasta, and pie! The pie tastes like really soft potato and lamb. Yummmm!Additionally server was literally kind! He gave us some beer for tasting. I want to recommend trying Cider!

  • Review 40 (2024-05-15 - Rating: 4)

Im giving this restaurant a 4 star review because the food variety wasnt good. The salad dressing was a bit tasteless. The chicken sandwich was the best dish. Considering that this restaurant is located in the heart of Manhattan, prices were very reasonable.

  • Review 41 (2022-07-19 - Rating: 5)

Food was great. Wife had the steak and I had the fish special which was baked red snapper. Nice atmosphere inside. The atrium room was quaint with a tree and skylight.

  • Review 42 (2021-11-11 - Rating: 5)

I go twice a week so far to this hidden gem. The food is absolutely spectacular the people and staff even better. Highly recommend this place to anyone looking for an amazing time and quality and exceptional service.

  • Review 43 (2024-03-25 - Rating: 5)

Wow one of the best burgers I’ve ever tried! I usually come here for the cocktails, but my friend ordered the burger and it was so good. Cocktails are good, the space is a little darker more intimate, but really good vibe inside.

  • Review 44 (2022-09-23 - Rating: 5)

Food = greatAtmosphere = easy going good for a weeknight unwindStaff = chill and very helpful (one staff member on their break jumped up to help me when I needed something)If you are visiting from out of town and want a place to bring your friends to impress them with your local knowledge you can bring them here after a trip to Time Square. Its not fancy, its not Boujee, its just right.

  • Review 45 (2024-08-18 - Rating: 5)

Amazing place for cocktails and conversations. The atmosphere is cozy and the drinks were really good.

  • Review 46 (2023-01-31 - Rating: 4)

Food was great. Our waitress kept forgetting to attend to us during the meal. Probably because her other tables were else where. It was a little discouraging. When food came out, the waiter didnt have anywhere to put the food because the old plates had not been removed. Otherwise, its a lovely place.

  • Review 47 (2017-12-08 - Rating: 5)

Super cool vibes. They play black and white movies on the brick walls, and there are live trees in the middle of some of their tables in the patio. Great drinks— recommend the lavender monk— and food.

  • Review 48 (2020-02-21 - Rating: 5)

Loved the music, the atmosphere and the food. I had the baby scallops with tomatoes and asparagus and it was delicious. A friend had the lava cake and love it as well.

  • Review 49 (2024-02-28 - Rating: 5)

We got the price fixed brunch. $30 for 3 courses. Not bad for Manhatten and delicious! Movies showing on all the walls. Old photos of movie stars everywhere. Lovely and clean bathroom. Very warm and welcoming staff.

  • Review 50 (2024-04-23 - Rating: 4)

A great spot with elegance and simplicity grounded in old school days with black and white film projected on the walls.Food was of solid quality and taste.Stop in and enjoy the show

  • Review 51 (2024-06-04 - Rating: 5)

Amazing atmosphere. 1920s speakeasy style bar. Great for spirits with friends before you attend a Broadway show.

  • Review 52 (2024-08-26 - Rating: 4)

Portions could be bigger for sure. Ground chicken manicotti its a special they serve pretty small. For 30 bucks ?

  • Review 53 (2024-02-06 - Rating: 5)

A delightful restaurant with an amazing bartender named Elisa or Alyssa. I had Tommys Pie, which is Shepherds Pie. It tasted delicious but was quite a small portion. It was heavy on mashed potato and not enough lamb. It is more of an appetizer than a main course. It is delicious, though!

  • Review 54 (2019-10-19 - Rating: 5)

Found this gem of a restaurant on 43rd Ave while trying to set up a dinner before a show on 45th. Really enjoyed the specialty cocktails, the portions were perfect, and the price point was excellent (not overly expensive with lots of variety). A bit loud but festive as they play an interesting mix of rock classics and project old movies on the walls.

  • Review 55 (2019-02-11 - Rating: 5)

Great for before or after a show just a little way from Times Square. All the apps and entrees we ordered were delicious. The indoor patio is beautiful and there are multiple throwback movies on the wall in various parts of the restaurant.

  • Review 56 (2017-11-25 - Rating: 5)

Excellent food and drinks. Our server was funny and very knowledgeable of the menu. The restaurant has a warm and cozy atmosphere. Its a little difficult to find the door though because there is no sign.

  • Review 57 (2023-03-07 - Rating: 5)

Delicious, quality, unique plates. Amazing atmosphere. Great staff. Perfect experience.

  • Review 58 (2023-11-14 - Rating: 4)

Me and my partner went for Sunday lunch and had a great experience! The Brunch Prefix is a great option at $28 for all the food you get. Cool atmosphere, friendly service, and of course yummy food. The spicy lamb meatballs were so good we had to get a second order of them! The roasted brussels sprouts were out of control too! I got a chicken parm sandwich which was fine, nothing too crazy. My partner got the cheeseburger and it was so good it made me regret getting my sandwich. Perfect char on the patty with tons of flavor.Only thing we didnt like were the breakfast potatoes. They had too many herbs and not enough seasoning. It was like eating perfume.Overall, super good lunch experience and we would definitely come back.

  • Review 59 (2024-08-30 - Rating: 5)

Great pre-theatre spot. Small plates or full entrées. Fast service. Quiet seats in the atrium.

  • Review 64 (2025-01-02 - Rating: 5)

Fun spot with lots of small plates, good for a date.

  • Review 65 (2023-08-04 - Rating: 5)

One of my favorite restaurants. I remember going to the restaurant years ago when it was still new. Now the space gets more cozy and beautiful. There is an indoor garden with a tree in it. I esp. like how quiet the indoor garden gets in the evening (when people move to the bar section, which is in another connected space). It’s so rare to find a place in a busy area with a quiet seating option. The food is with good display and taste.

  • Review 66 (2023-11-14 - Rating: 5)

We needed a yummy place after a long day of work. Someone recommended Bea to us as it had a variety of food. I had the Mac and cheese and dumplings. The dumplings were quite good. The Mac and cheese was a bit flat for my taste but it was still tasty.

  • Review 67 (2024-10-21 - Rating: 5)

Loved this gem of a place ❤️ Service , drinks, and dinner were fantastic. Very reasonable as well .

  • Review 68 (2023-10-05 - Rating: 5)

First time here and Janina was amazing. You can tell she’s a people person and loves what she does. She had quite the knowledge of the food and drinks and treated us as she would a friend. Food was great. I had the herb chicken, tuna tartar, and wine, all were greats. We’ll be back.

  • Review 69 (2024-03-10 - Rating: 4)

Good American fare food, we ordered the gnocchi, ricotta and brussel sprouts. The ricotta was so refreshing and brussel sprouts were cooked perfectly. The restaurant was really bustling and it’s hard to have a conversation without raising your voice. I found service to be lacking and not very helpful

  • Review 70 (2022-04-15 - Rating: 5)

Absolutely coming back. I went here for a bottomless brunch for my boyfriends birthday and it was one of the highlights of the weekend. The staff was great! They sang him happy birthday and gave us delicious shooters. The drink options were great I loved the ‘early bird.’The plates I ordered were decent. The vegetables I don’t think were cooked long enough and I felt like the steak was too fatty. My friends, however, loved their plates so I will be returning to try the lamb meatballs and the quiche.

  • Review 71 (2023-04-27 - Rating: 5)

Great dinner and brunch spot. They make great drinks and the food is always amazing.

  • Review 73 (2024-12-12 - Rating: 5)

The coco fashion was just perfect. Our waitress (German origins, can’t remember the name sorry) was great ! Only downside is the cheese and meat platter. Feels a bit expensive for what it is. Overall had a great time.

It was very enjoyable. Would definitely come back!

Went here yesterday with one of my friends and my son, it was a very cozy setting. We live about 2 hours away so we were starving and needed somewhere to go. The food was amazing, I got the gnocchi and it was cooked perfectly. I loved how welcoming they were with my toddler as well.

We had 5 PM dinner reservations following a matinee at the West Side Theater. Bea was conveniently located next-door to the theater.Dinner service starts at 5; we arrived around 4:30 and were offered seats in the bar area. I enjoyed a hard cider while my husband had a seltzer. The friendly staff checked on us making sure we had our drinks, let us know they would take our order when it was time. Our menus arrived shortly before 5.I had looked up the online menu prior to our visit, so we had an idea of what we would order. We chose the tuna tartar, pork dumplings and shared the gnocchi. Our waiter was attentive and service was quick. The tuna and dumpling orders came out first. I wish I had taken a picture. The tuna looked like a beautiful cake. Tuna was placed on a bed of guacamole and topped with jalapeños and pickled ginger. Fresher than fresh and as delicious as it looked. The dumplings were large; 6 on the plate. Tender and tasty and filling.Next came the gnocchi. Delicate and small, in a delicious sauce and topped with wilted spinach. The bowl size was perfect for a sharing after the tuna tartar and pork dumplings.I am looking forward to going back for another early dinner.

Amazing spot in Hells Kitchen for brunch. $28 for all-you-can-eat; $52 for that plus bottomless drinks. I love the house ricotta, pork shoulder, and french toast (see pictures). The ambiance is very laid back; there is usually quiet jazz music playing, which makes it easy to have a conversation with your fellow diners. Highly recommended.

  • Review 83 (2024-01-30 - Rating: 4)

Cute and friendly bar. Cozy tables and bar seating. Had a cool, post work or post dinner vibe.Plenty of wine by the glass options and of course full bar list.Cute decor. Dark inside so would be a nice date spot as its not too loud or aggressive late night. Old movies running on projectors on the walls was also unique and something that makes a nice conversation starter.Staff was nice, though had to be flagged down if you needed them. Even at the bar they never noticed we were out of water or drinks. A bit annoying as it wasnt busy, but I guess the vibe isnt helicopter style, but more like shout if you need us. Not a problem, just good to know.My friend goes regularly and loves it.

Great little gem of a NYC restaurant on midtown west. Worth the visit

  • Review 85 (2023-08-25 - Rating: 4)

Nice place to eat on theater days, and on regular days. Its not too far. Cool vibes, good food. I like the Tuna Tartare and the Burger. Both are very good. The Tartare is a pile of tuna on a pile of avocado with four giant chips. Its a good size for sharing. The burger is a good size too. You should go.

The atmosphere, service and food was great. Will definitely visit again.

  • Review 87 (2024-02-08 - Rating: 4)

Such a nice warm atmosphere! You could tell as soon as you walked in, people were enjoying their time chatting and company with each other. The decor is charming, lighting a little on the darker side but makes the experience :) our drinks were yummy, well made. I had the maracuya mama, it was perfectly made!! Perfect mix of sweet and light spice. Yum!! My hubby had the cool, calm, caliente. It was also well made, my hubby said it was fine, lol but drank it all. I tasted it and had that smoky mezcal taste. I’m glad I picked the one I did: I’m more into sweeter, fresher drinks. Then our food arrived. I ordered the green pasta, literally it was green. The creamy sauce needed a little bit of salt. The shrimp was perfectly cooked. The pasta was al dente. My hubby ordered the Steak: 7oz filet mignon, vegetables and fries. He truly enjoyed his meal. The meat was cooked right in point, which was medium. The fries were scrumptious. Overall nice restaurant, bar to have a good meal and great drinks!!

Great vibe, cosy and busy but not too loud. The old films projected onto the walls are a really nice touch. The cocktails were great and very reasonably priced. All the desserts were so yummy. A great place to bring friends. Loved this place

  • Review 90 (2022-03-28 - Rating: 4)

Missing many of the graces of a good brunch. Good brunch calls for unsolicited coffee refills, steamy plates fresh from the kitchen, and timely care, all of which were absent. We arrived decently early before the rush and even then our party got the sense that the servers were understaffed. Some of the dishes are creative and very well balanced, of note was the smoked salmon appetizer. It brings in mint and honey to enliven the standard capers and salmon. It would’ve been an excellent dish if they stretched beyond providing two inadequately small pieces of pita. The candied bacon was a hit, but arrived to the table cold. I got the sense that they make it once in the morning and then serve it out as ordered. This is unfortunate, it would’ve been more enjoyable warm. Steak and eggs was the main I ordered. The steak was thin, smaller than the diameter of a computer mouse, a tender cut but not pan fried crisp as expected. The potatoes were cubed to a quarter inch and undercooked which was confusing given how small they were. The concept was good, the ambience was enjoyable. Its definitely worth going for if you have a hankering for the conceptually great sweet and savoury mixes. If the line cooking was better managed, the portions made more generous and the service improved I’d go again.

Had my birthday brunch for 21 people and probably one of the best spots to have had it! The staff was incredible! Drinks never empty and food exceptional. Thank you for creating a memorial time. Guests were just as happy as I was.

I’ve been coming to Bea for years now, and it’s always an enjoyable experience. The drinks are consistent and creative, and the food is always great. It’s a staple in the Hell’s Kitchen neighborhood.

Just ducked in for a drink before a show. Immediately loved the atmosphere, and got some bar seats. Tried the Paper Fox and Ginger Nun, both delicious. Alex was slinging drinks solo for awhile with absolute precision! He gave us some comp M&M shots (real sweet dude!) - Mezcal & Montenegro!Finished with the Anything Goes and Coco Fashioned. Both were wonderful, but man, that Coco Fashioned was smmmooooootth. Well definitely be back for dinner!

  • Review 94 (2024-05-08 - Rating: 4)

It was a nice place. Very cozy. Dim lit, movies playing on the wall. The food was surprisingly good, It needed some salt and pepper, though. I had the green pasta and a wicked witch cocktail. It was interesting, but not my favorite cocktail. It came with burning sage.

  • Review 95 (2023-04-15 - Rating: 5)

Awesome food, always a great experience. Ive been here several times. Advise reservations but theyll get you in as long as you dont mind a wait. Great atmosphere- classic fare on the wall screen- 20th century pop art culture cool. Even the staff. Although this last visit we had a waiter in training. ;-) Rough night for him! Will go again in a heartbeat. Bring friends!

Excellent spot for a family style meal with a smattering of great cocktails. The clientele is stylish, the interior is dark, intimate, with music playing. Everything we ordered was fabulous, but I recommend ordering more than one dish per person to to get a taste of everything and make sure everyone has a great meal.

  • Review 99 (2022-12-13 - Rating: 5)

Cute and affordable brunch spot with bottomless drinks for 90 minutes. Loved the atmosphere and the overall mood of the restaurant. Drinks were great and the food was good too but I thought the presentation could have been better

  • Review 100 (2022-01-02 - Rating: 4)

Great atmosphere and good food. Cool patio area with a sunlight. The entire restaurant is decorated with old theater/film memorabilia with an entire show being projected on one of the walls. Not very crowded when we came on new years day midday.Menu had a prix fix option which we took advantage of (one appetizer, one share plate and one entree for $28). An appetizer plus a main was $27 so the prix fix options actually ended up being a good deal.Ordered the spicy lamb meatballs which were delicious. Came with tzaziki sauce and pita bread which was unfortunately stale. The share plate was candied bacon which was tasty. I ordered the eggs Benedict and my SO ordered steak and eggs. The steak portion was kinda small but not something to complain about given the $17 price tag. The potatoes were DELICIOUS. The eggs Benedict was yummy save for the very hard English muffins underneath. Was looking forward to the bottomless Brunch which would have been $30 however the options were limited to three and not favorable to non citrus lovers so decided to pass.

I cant decide if I like their brunch or their dinner better, so I will review bothDinner: the tuna tartar is my favorite appetizer and the green pasta my favorite dish. Their lavender monk cocktail is the perfect cocktail for lavender lovers of the world.I brought a date here recently and he couldnt stop talking about the food even after we left the restaurant 😂Brunch: I was sad when they removed the pork shoulder from the menu, but then I found the French toast and I was happy again. They also have a great selection of brunch cocktails for those of you who like to start the day off boozy. The salmon appetizer is mouth watering. And finally the house ricotta and the kale Caesar salad, on both brunch and dinner menus are both delicious ways to start off your meal. They wont fill you up, so you have room for the main event, but they will satisfy your palate nonetheless.

Perfect spot for Sunday brunch. We sat in the sun room and we loved it! We got the parfait, Brussels sprouts, and the Benedict. So happy with the whole experience. Can’t wait to come back!

  • Review 103 (2023-10-21 - Rating: 5)

Real fun West Side NYC eatery to enjoy a meal. Throughout the meal, classic old movies from the golden age of Hollywood were shown on various walls. There were also photos of legendary actors and actresses hanging in the booths. Oh, and the food is superb. I started with the tomato soup which was creamy, smooth, and simply divine. It was served with 3 large pieces of fried bread which enhanced the experience. I also had the 7 oz filet mignon steak which was just the right size. It was served with fries and this incredible vegetable medley which was unique and flavorful. Our server was perfect. He was friendly, accommodating, yet not overbearing. He also assisted the other staff in clearing and setting tables. Overall, a very impressive restaurant, with very reasonable prices.

This place was FANTASTIC!The atmosphere is cozy and clean and the service as friendly and professional.I went for breakfast with a friend and left with a smile on my face.We shared the “House Ricotta” which is grilled bread (they have us refills on the bread) with ricotta and a drizzle of honey. It was soooooo delicious. I must say, still thinking about it.Then for my main, I got the baked Scrambled Eggs. Again, divine. The scabbed eggs were so delicious with the mozzarella and chervil cheese blended in. The potatoes are also so very tasty! I loved it.

Outstanding food! We had dinner here and everything we ordered was amazing. It is a little pricey but it is well worth it. We had the duck turnover which was really good and I dont normally eat duck. The pulled pork was the best I ever had. Nice classic jazz atmosphere and they also have live music too.

I am here to say thank you to Bryan (manager) once again for being so professional and helpful when i needed help with camera footage for my hit and run car. Even though, this review isnt specifically about food, a manager who runs a business who is able to be so compassionate, professional and socially responsible speaks volume for his character and how he takes care of his people and business. I can only imagine how great the service is here !! I cant wait to go here and try all the amazing foods. I hope Bryans boss sees this someday and know what an amazing human he has running his business!! Thank you once again !!

Talk about a great start to our trip to New York City! The food was delicious, the drinks were well crafted, and the staff was fantastic! Bea has such a great atmosphere, from the lighting and decor to the classic black and white TV shows projected onto the wall. With as many restaurants as there are in New York City, Bea does a great job of setting themselves apart. It was a wonderful meal and we will definitely eat there again next time we are in town.

Super place 4A drink and/or meal B4/after seeing a show. We popped in after seeing Kinky Boots & just loved everything about the place. Smallish but not tiny. Rockin music from 80s, 90s, & 2K. Crazy cool old movies being projected on 4 different walls. Beer selection great, drinks great, Matthew our bar tender on point! Not hungry but would definitely go back 4A meal...

Fun old brick building with nooks and plants, memorabilia and films on the wall. The food was delicious- beet salad, Uncle Tom’s pie, pasta and everything was fresh and the service was good. Made a reservation for 5 as we had theatre at 7 and location and timing was perfect.

Gosh I just adore this place, I recommend it time and time again, and I make sure to fit in it every time Im in the city. Its a quiet little spot with the coolest decor, and its a short walk from all the busy-ness of Midtown. Their dinner menu is excellent, but I also love sitting at the bar for late-night (post-show) drinks and noshes. The ambiance is perfect for friends or a date, and the service is always spectacular and so fast! Ive ordered drinks both on the menu and not, and they are always super. The food is always excellent as well. I highly recommend the house ricotta, lamb meatballs, mac and cheese... and really anything else on the menu. Bea guest for LIFE!

Love the vibe and set up here and certainly achieved the idea of a non touristy 42nd street feel, it felt like a chill neighborhood spot. The drinks were great..the entrees much to desired and ( green pasta without salt) ? I regretted not dinning at another local spot a few short walks away.

Came here for brunch before a show and the place is lovely. The service was great. From the prefixe brunch, the smoked salmon had raw/fishy taste and I like it more smoked/salted, I wouldnt order it again. The eggs benedict were cooked perfectly and the side of brussel sprouts was good.

Really great classic atmosphere. Had the salmon (catch of the day) and green pasta with shrimp. Salmon was really nicely seasoned, pasta was a bit undercooked. Took a very long time to get our mains but seemed to be a back of the house issue. Most people seemed to get there food in good time. Would go back

  • Review 129 (2019-03-16 - Rating: 5)

The absolute best manicotti and lamb meatballs Ive ever had. If you dont like being in close quarters while eating this place is not for you. If you dont mind, give it a try. It is a little on the pricey side but well worth the money. Beware of the unisex bathrooms and make sure you use the lock. The wine and cocktails were great as well.

  • Review 133 (2023-02-03 - Rating: 4)

Elegant, quiet place a little bit outside the busy touristy Broadway area. I started sipping my cocktail but then realised my glass was broken; they just poured the rest of the drink into a new glass instead of redoing it, felt cheap for that kind of place.

Named after the owner’s grandmother, Bea (pronounced BEE-A) is located on 43rd Street in Hell’s Kitchen and looks like an old speakeasy featuring one large room with a bar. Two smaller rooms with one having a tree and sky light inside complete this establishment where we came for our pre-theater dining yesterday. Reservation was easily made via Yelp which worked perfectly,. Upon arrival, the atmosphere comes alive with classic movies silently screened on the various exposed brick walls. It’s bit loud, but not uncomfortably so. The menu is limited made up mostly of small plates and pizzas. Our server was Jonnathan who was attentive. Known for their craft cocktails, we started out with their ANYTHING GOES (beach plum gin, pomegranate syrup, lime juice, blanc de blancs sparkling wine.) It was light and fruity. As an appetizer to share, we got the House Ricotta (grilled bread, rosemary honey, sea salt). It was tasty with the honey as ricotta by itself is tasteless. As a entree, we ordered the gnocchi (tomato and roasted peppers sauce, thyme, cream, basil, spinach) and Herb Roasted Chicken (airline cut chicken breast, toasted farro, spinach, mushroom creme sauce). The food was well seasoned with the right portion, service great and reasonably priced for the area. Cant wait to return to this midtown gem which we can recommend.

I came here for brunch with a group of 6 and I had a fabulous time.My group was unable to secure Sunday brunch reservations, so we ended up sitting at the bar. (If you want the possibility of dining sans reservations during brunch, show up when they open). The deal was great - $45 for 2 hours of unlimited food and drinks. I could only eat four and a half small plates in that time; I was completely stuffed. What I ate:- Pear Salad: good, light, crunchy- Smoked Salmon: absolutely divine and loved it with the bread they paired it with- Potatoes : good, soft- French Toast: good but caramel made it very sweet, I could do without it- Spinach & Egg Pie: Didnt love itOverall, the atmosphere was great, staff was friendly, location is very accessible, everything is very clean, the service is fast, and they have a great drink selection.

Nice restaurant with a 1940s decor. They have a very interesting cocktail menu and their appetizers were great. Giving them 4 stars because the entrees were underwhelming. I would give it another try though and order different things. Stay away from the Uncle Tommy’s Pie. It was incredibly bland.

The food was delicious. The appetizers of mussels and kale salad were both scrumptious. Main courses were; the lamb chops, which came with mashed potatoes and zucchini (which was finger licking good); and spinach pasta with shrimp, also another winner. Just be prepared, the place is quite noisy, so not recommend for a romantic dinner.

We went there on Valentine’s day. It was a great experience. Waitress Alexa was super kind and lovely. We had tuna tartare as a starter and Anything Goes and Coco Fashion for cocktails. Tartare was good, tuna was fresh👍🏼 Anything goes is kinda sour but delicious. Marshmallow on the Coco fashion was unnecessary. Than we had salmon and ravioli. Ravioli was PERFECT. Salmon was cooked perfectly but the sauce was too salty for my taste. Our second cocktails weren’t good as the first ones. But we’ll go there again for the lovely people and cool atmosphere. We had a lovely time grabbing brunch here before our matinee at the Westside theatre! They had a perfect bottomless mimosa option so we could relax here for a good while before our show. I forget the name of the ricotta dish, but it was an appetizer and it was AMAZING!

Fantastic food, great service, and the atmosphere was a little loud but not more than most restaurants. Also get the bass! Everything was delicious but the bass was above and beyond.

Bustling on a Wednesday night at 10:00, my family and I were very happy with our food. Their pulled pork dish was s flavorful, and everyone couldnt get enough of the poached pear dessert. Would highly recommend!

Still decently packed on a Tuesday night after 10pm. Nice vibe with some older movies playing projectors throughout the place. Baby scallops, manicotti and gnocchi were good.

Definitely the best place to eat in Hells Kitchen. Great for before a show - the atmosphere is genuine to New York, not like many of the restaurants in the Theatre District. The cocktails are great. Menu is small, so cant be too picky.

LOVE this place! so many cool entrees from which to choose, and they are so amenable to altering the ingredients to suit any dietary restrictions like gluten-free. Amazing cocktails! And definitely friendly service with a smile.

First time NYC-er! Wound up at Bea’s looking for brunch options. My friend and I both had delicious meals and the drinks were fabulous! Shout out to a bartender named Danny who was super cool and provided excellent conversation.

Such a nice vibe. A bit loud but worth the menu selections and uniqueness of it all.

Great bar with a good selection of beers on tap. I recommend the Brooklyn ale. The food was good I had the roasted beet salad with walnuts......hmmmm. After three drinks and the salad my belly was full and my brain fortified enough to make the trek back uptown away from tourist hell. The service was pleasant and professional and the walls were filled with vintage [sic] TV shows (no sound) which took me back to my youth and reminded me that Im f***ing OLD.

Had a great dinner here after catching a show. Very interesting theming and some delicious food. The cocktails are great and so are the scallops. The staff are very friendly.

This place was really good. The atmosphere is on the fancy side but you dont need to dress more than casual. The food was really good, I order and appetizer, two entries and 2 of the specialty cocktails and it only came to like 80$, which really isnt bad at all.
