    We visited during restaurant week for dinner. I started with the grilled clams, which tasted good, but unfortunately, many of them had sand inside and were not well cleaned. The dry-aged steak was delicious—crispy on the outside and juicy inside. The cheesecake was also good, perfectly balanced and not too sweet. However, the service was slow; I had to ask twice for Dijon mustard and horseradish, and it took a while before they brought it to our table, even though the restaurant wasnt busy at 6 PM. Additionally, the wine deal was disappointing at $50 a bottle. We had the Cabernet Sauvignon, which was average and lacked complexity. It didnt seem worth the price, especially since many other restaurants offer $30 bottle deals during restaurant week.

    We absolutely loved this restaurant not only for their restaurant week dinners but above all the service! A gentleman named Dino was one that left a mark on our lives for good! He went above and beyond to host us, make our evening there an unforgettable one and gave extra care to our precious daughter who fell ill and our little one who was up past his bedtime! Truly the restaurants greatest asset indeed! The atmosphere was very nice and peaceful filled with an aroma to open anyone’s appetite! Highly recommend! We will most certainly be back!

    Stopped off for dinner after a day out in Time Square and Broadway show. Didnt book but there were plenty of tables free as it was a Thursday. French onion soup to start with a variety basket of bread for the table. Rib eye steak and fillet mignon were outstanding as well as the wagu burger all a tidy portion. Steak fries are a must, the Mac & cheese lacked a bit of flavour but this could be down to personal taste as well. Saute mushrooms were good as were the sprouts with bacon. Portions of sides are enough to share between 2 as the server did point out. Ordered a bottle of red but only got served glasses???. The restaurant is priced at the high end but I think you had value for money overall. We were looking for a nice way to finish our trip in NY and we did.

    This steakhouse was a wonderful dining experience. The food and the atmosphere was fantastic. Cash and credit are both accepted. Parking was a bit difficult with metered street parking, but free after 7pm. The staff was friendly and charming. This is more of a fine dining establishment but no issues with dress code.2/2023

    Their sirloin steak is now my best steak ever. Ben & Jacks displaced Flemings in Dayton from 2016. Medium temp with crispy outside that was still sizzling when brought to my table and expertly presented and transferred from the hot serving dish to my heated dish. Side of peas and carrots was an old fashioned choice but coupled with their organic house vodka in a dirty martini was an updated complement that saved just enough room for the chocolate mousse with schlage that I got to go for enjoyment in a few hours. Top ratings to Ben & Jacks!

    Every time I’m in NYC I go again and again to this restaurant. It feels homey cause of the warm welcome and attentive service. They remember you! (Not very common in NYC). Food is great (onion soup, appetizers, filet mignon…). Servive is excellent. Dino the Manager is discreet and classy in his service, waiter Bessimo is efficient warm and pleasant. Definitely coming back ext time I’m around!!

    I have hosted many lunches at Ben & Jacks Steakhouse-it is BY FAR, the best steakhouse in NYC! The food is incredible, the service really old school wonderful-Atmosphere beautiful-everything you want in a great restaurant- Do go often, you wont be disappointed I assure you.

    Bottom line , you want a NYC steak, go to a NYC steak house and Ben and Jacks is the only choice. I felt like a New Yorker there. The service is the best and the food... What are you kidding me .. get the steak for two, mushrooms and asparagus .... You can thank me later

    Only had time for one steak session in NYC and I’m so happy I came here. Staff were super courteous (aside from the female hostess at the door - she was super unbothered, not nice and should not be the first point of interaction when you get into the restaurant)Aside from that, the food was excellent. Caesar salad was tasty, they had a good wine list, and we ordered the steak for 2 to share between 3, and even that was a lot for us. So for anyone visiting NYC and maybe not used to portions, the steak for 2 was very large! Would definitely come back.

    Staying at Wyndham Midtown Manhattan and upon checking in, the receptionist recommended Ben and Jack steakhouse. True enough this is the best steakhouse in Manhattan and I enjoyed so much my sirloin steak which melts in my mouth that’s how good the steak is and my wife had the grilled salmon which was also perfectly grilled!!! The raspberry cheesecake is the best and highly recommended. Restaurant staff are courteous, knowledgeable and highly attentive on your needs. This is a 5 star steakhouse and would like to express my heartfelt gratitude to Ben and Jack steakhouse for making my night a perfect one. Thanks Wyndham for the recommendation!!!!

    We came here for a friends birthday and Ben & jacks did not disappoint. I’ve been to the many steak houses across NYC this place can compete with the best of them. The Porterhouse for three was perfectly season the char was fantastic and the temperature did not disappoint we asked for medium rare few pieces were strongly rare some medium but it wasn’t a big deal for anyone that grills big pieces of steak we understand that different parts reach the desired temperature at different times. We ordered the thick cut bacon which was crispy and tender. The crème brûlée was awful but that’s okay not a turn off for me. I will be back.

    Ben & Jacks is classic New York. It’s warm and comfortable and Calvin is a top notch bartender. His dirty martini is spot on and one of my absolute favorites in the city. A midtown favorite.

    I came here for NYC Restaurant Week, they had a prefix menu of an appetizer, entree, dessert, and a bottle of wine. We chose the Robert Mondavi Cabernet Sauvignon. I had the Ribeye steak cooked medium with mashed potatoes and broccoli. The steak was cooked perfectly and they even have their own Ben & Jack Steak sauce which was pretty tasty. Great service while we were seated and the chocolate mousse cake was great as well! Great experience and will probably return for another steak!

    Chef Admir and his team execute classic steakhouse dishes to perfection at this midtown east restaurant. The highlights include bourbon glazed bacon, dry-aged steaks (Cajun style offered off the menu), a burger, and the surprisingly excellent sesame crusted yellow fin tuna. The service here is excellent as well.

    Everything was amazing the atmosphere, food, drinks, service. The only reason for 4 stars I asked for my rib eye to be well done and there was pink which i could taste the difference. Im not a fan of medium well so I ate the end pieces that were well done and took the rest home to cook it in my oven. I heard too many stories sending food back to the kitchen and they dont do anything or spit on it. Lobster mac and cheese was super delicious even a day later. Theyd get 5 stars had my main attraction, the steak was done right.

    Loved loved the food there. Had a NewYork tenderloin steak and lamb chops with garlic butter mashed potatoes and spinach. Bang on!Had a good collector drinks and I enjoyed my Basil Haydon with the food.Service was excellent and done with grace and pleasent smiles. Would recommend the place for sure.

    The epitome of NYC Steakhouse! We came here for restaurant week. The calamari was crispy, flavorful and tender. The Dry Aged Sirloin steak was cooked to a perfect medium rare. Tender, tasty and juicy. Its a large piece of steak so I wasnt able to finish it and it made for great leftovers on a salad bed! The staff were professional and friendly. The facilities are clean. Id definitely come here again. Its great for a date night, to impress your family, or to catch up with friends.

    The service is outstanding! They treat us with grace. The oysters are fresh but I didn’t feel sea water sense when I ate it. Steak for two is big for us and that’s terrific but maybe next time we should order medium rare instead of medium because the hot dish cooked steak when we left it on the dish. Overall is good.

    This is by far my favorite steak house in NY! I go business dinners and special occasions with family. The steak is always perfectly cooked and flavorful, the service is amazing and most of the staff seem to recognize us and make us feel welcome and special. The atmosphere is always amazing and fun. The bartenders arePros and make delicious drinks.

    Been here a few times the food is great the service even better! That being said steakhouses across NYC dont offer much flare, youve been to one youve been to them all you just find your favorite one an call it home. No disrespect. That said this is great dinning experience and if youre in the area definitely stop by for diner and a cocktail, its even worth going out of your way to eat here.

    The is a nice and airy steak house. The bar was hopping and restaurant section was busy but socially distanced. The wait staff was attentive. The food was delicious. The steaksand lamb chop were perfectly cooked and juicy. The desserts were the only thing that did not impress us. The whipped cream with each dessert nor the desserts were tasty. They were bland. We had the choc mouse, carrot cake and cheesecake.

    Great food, extensive wine list, attentive staff. The portion sizes are generous. We had the calamari appetiser and it can easily be shared amongst 3 adults. Steak for 2 with asparagus, spinach and brussel sprouts, followed by some of the best ice cream and chocolate mousse. The one drawback was the limited options if you have a younger child, but it wasnt insurmountable.Wonderful night and will definitely go again!

    I had the most enjoyable experience today dining here. The Porterhouse Steak for one and lobster Mac And Cheese had me just talking over and over to self about how good the food was.😊. The food was served fresh and the staff so welcoming, kind and outgoing made this experience one of my Top go to restaurants. This place is worth the travel and money.     Hospitality is by far the best I have ever experienced in any restaurant. Steak & sides were very good. We got 6 steaks for 11 people and it worked out perfectly. Best side we had was the Lobster mac & cheese and runner up was the seafood mix, both were great! Everyone had a great time. The desserts were nothing to brag about the the overall experience was great so no points lost for this visit. Definitely put this on your list to come here. We will definitely be back!

    My wife and i stayed at the Even Hotel next door and that place has the best rack of lamb Ive ever ate! Hagi the manager was very friendly so was the staff. I will go there everyday if i was living in NYC. I wish they could work out a deal with the hotel for the bar to stay open later.

    Our Mission near United Nations, always set a business lunch in this restaurant starting 2022. on July 29th 2024 we had a lunch for a group of12 and the main host of the meeting gave a special thank you to the entire staff the food and the service was exceptional.     We were looking for a place to grab dinner near our hotel and at first we were skeptical from the photos we saw in previous reviews. That was not the case. Service was attentive and consistent from the start and carried on throughout our dinner. The food was indeed immaculate, the atmosphere was comforting, the cocktails were excellent and the food was even better. We ordered the “steak for 2” which consisted of half filet half sirloin, our sides were sautéed broccoli, and mashed potatoes. We were served our food at the table, in a classic french serving style, for a first time it was strange but intriguing at the same time. At the end we were too full for dessert but we will definitely be back again in the near future for that and more!

    Loved the food and hospitality at this friendly steakhouse near Grand Central owned by Peter Luger veterans. Their signature Porterhouse, Cajun Steak (off the menu), Maple Bourbon Bacon, and Seafood Pasta (w/ mega lobster claw) were some of my favorites.     Went 8/15/18 for Restaurant Week, nice dining had more of a business meeting type restaurant vibe. The hostess started with a reserved demeanor but that was quickly diminished when my upbeat social demeanor turned business serious. Julio was our main waiter he was very accommodating, knowledgeable, friendly and attentive; other waiters were hands-on as well they were friendly and helpful (I dont eat Onion Bread, they provided me with French Bread; it wasnt warm the butter was unspreadable cold 😞). The Prime Rib was cooked to my satisfaction (great portion), the mashed potatoes was decent and the broccoli was ok (a little bland, add your own salt, pepper); dessert was ok not a fan of the offerings (Cheesecake, Chocolate Mousse or Key Lime Pie) but opted for the Cheescake it needed more crust in my opinion (I could do without the side plop of whipped cream). The Apple Martini was spot on. At the end of Dinner I discovered they had Pecan Pie (not part of the R.W. menu, however i would have paid for it had I known). Might want to add the Pecan Pie as part of the R.W. menu.Great steakhouse with good food for meetings or bite to eat before a show.Thank you Julio for making our dining a great one.

    The attractive and polite hostess had us seated immediately. The food came quickly, and the wait staff were outstanding. I had a ribeye, hash for two, and a Guiness. My buddy had a veal steak, some of the hash, and a Guiness as well. Great meal.My dinner partner and I had not seen each other in about six years when he and I served together in Fallujah, Iraq. I was in my Marine uniform, when a regular customer saw me from the bar, and picked up the tab anonymously. One of my best dinner experiences ever, thanks to the generosity and hospitality that was represented that evening. I love New York. Thank you for making my trip very memorable.

    The food was amazing, as well as the service. I completely forgot to ask for our servers name. But, he was fantastic! We went to celebrate my daughters birthday. We started off with the scallops and they were so tasty. For dinner we originally ordered the steak for 3, but our server recommended we do the steak for 2. He was absolutely correct the steak for 2 was more than enough. The server and other team members also sang happy birthday for our 5 year old, which we appreciated very much! She was very happy.     Really cannot praise the steaks enough… I had a ribeye that was the size of my head… son had filet and hubby had Cajun ribeye… each steak was perfectly done, served hot with an excellent char. The only surprise was how BIG the steaks were- we could not finish. The broccoli side was good, the creamless creamed spinach was not to my taste, French onion soup was good, mozzarella & tomato salad was also very nice. If I could do it over, would just get the steak and drinks… and I probably still wouldn’t be able to finish…
