    Awesome little dive bar. Cozy vibes, cheap drinks, pool tables, and a young crowd. If youre looking to chill in the East village and want to save money, this is a great spot.

    This is the real dive bar! Its a very old place. Its a thing you see in American movies: an old wooden bar, 7/8 tables on the side, a jukebox and a pool table. The staff is friendly, beers are cheap. Perfect! It can be a cool place to get drinks with friends, but it can also be a good date place because of the pool table. Its a local place and some guests seem to be regulars. We had a regular beer and an IPA, and it costed $10. If you are passing through the East Village, be sure to drop by for the real American dive bar experience.

    Great dive in LES. Good selection of drafts, cans, and liquors for a reasonable price. The pool table was busy and it was a nice afters spot. Dont expect to grab a table easily after 7.

    We’ve been coming to the Blue and Gold for years and have always liked it. Now that Brandon works here we love it even more. We met him on his second day and he was so attentive and friendly. Since then we’ve gotten to know him more and he’s so funny. He makes it a good time. One thing I would note is that it would be great if the men’s room could be renovated. It’s fun to watch people play pool. And it’s nice there’s a jukebox.

    An old-school dive bar: jukebox, pool table, good bartender, not too young of a crowd. Surprisingly upscale booze available, and less of a Ukrainian & Polish presence than there was back in the day, but basically unchanged from the early 80s when I first had drinks there.

    Great bar, even as a non-local felt very welcomed and enjoyed the atmosphere. The drinks well priced and worth a drop in for a drink if in the area. Brandon the bartender was a lovely guy and will be back if I’m over from London! 5/5!

Its the atmosphere/service, cold beer and the authenticity of the venue...Its second to none. Its definitely not for N.J., L.I. or C.T. bridge and tunnelers trying to be bar divers...

    I really had good experience on my first time here. My work friend brought me here to play billard. We won from other team and got drinks. Cocktails and shots are cheaper compare to most standard bars or pubs. Def going back in future.

    A nice local dive bar that is perfect for a hang out spot. Nice environment and clean. Staff is always friendly and tend to remember you if you’re a regular. Never too crowded. Check it out if for a drink and see if you like the vibe. Just a heads up, it’s CASH ONLY but is very reasonably priced. Always a good time.

    Great prices for shots of single malt scotch! The only problem is this places popularity has soared, and it gets pretty crowded. I started coming here about two years ago, and still frequent this place (though I dont tend to go in if its too crowded).The bartender (and owner, I think) is really friendly and helpful. The atmosphere is pretty divebar-ish, which I like.

    Was here in 1989, just been prompted to look the place up as I remembered about the play the tape from your walkman type thing that was going on instead of a jukebox at the time.     Beer and a shot. If you like complaining keep it moving. This is a place where you get drunk with friends. The bartender not sweet enough for you? tough, she pours drinks well, and thats her job. if you go there enough, shes nice as can be. So quit your moaning and go drink at the pourhouse if you want to complain. They have connect four here btw! Haha! Its a bar, a terrific dive. Your pants can be stained, your shirt can be ripped. If youve got 6 bucks you can get a shot and a beer. Three options, jager, jim beam, tequila, paired with a pabst, something and something. Theres a jukebox packed with good tunes. A pool table that sometimes eats your change, and some stools at the bar. A perfect place. This is what a bar should be.
