    Bob’s is hands down my favorite local bar—it never disappoints! The staff is amazing, and they have board games and shuffleboard to keep things fun, not to mention an excellent selection of beers. I make it a point to drop by every week to try the newest brews on tap. Once, I brought my sister along, and she absolutely loved the Snow White cocktail. We happened to be there during a happy hour on a Tuesday some time ago, and the bartender went the extra mile by creating a custom cocktail just for her. Another fantastic feature is that youre welcome to bring your own food or even order in. Bob’s is always my go-to spot for a beer. I even celebrated New Years there, and the atmosphere was amazing! My boyfriend also noted that they once showed Akira on the projector. How awesome is that?

    Bobs is a bit of a legend in my friend group. Its a proper neighborhood bar. Good tap selection, standard liquor options, dim lighting, cozy seating, sports on the projector... It fits the bill of the third place that is often hard to find elsewhere in the neighborhood.Bobs is just far enough away from Columbia that it doesnt get slammed with undergrad students. Patrons tend to be locals and older Columbia graduate students or veterans.A comfortable spot that I frequented while in school and now a place I get to visit when Im back in town.

    My favorite bar near home! The staff is great, they have board games and shuffleboard, and their beers are top notch! I love going there at least once a week to see the different beers on tap. I brought my sister once here and she loved the Snow White cocktail. We came in during happy hour on Tuesday a while ago and the bartender was super sweet! Made her a cool custom cocktail that she enjoyed. It’s also bring your own food, which is great! Can bring it in or have it delivered. Bob’s will always be my comfort spot for a beer. Also spent new years there, great vibe! My boyfriend also did mention that they once played Akira on the projector. Incredible!

    Neighborhood spot with nitro left hand milk stout on tap. One of my absolute favorite beers that has been harder to find the last few years. Projector for sports ball and shuffleboard are also a huge plus.

    Loved the vibe of this place. The warm atmosphere and cozy setting made it feel like home, especially by my second visit. The ‘bring your own food’ policy was a surprise, but it added to the experience, making for a fun and laid-back time. No frills, just pure enjoyment of what really matters.

    Nice neighborhood bar. Rotating beers on tap and nice, comfortable atmosphere. No food here but you are welcome to bring your own. Noise outside in the summer is an issue as there are numerous people in the area playing loud music in the streets.

    I did not take pictures of the charm of this bar. The drinks are chalk written above the bar. This is definitely a neighborhood bar but the staff was very friendly. I loved the games available for patrons to play. The drinks are reasonably priced. They also have a buy a friend a drink board where they write who’s buying the drink, for who, and the date. It just adds that much more charm to this spot. Definitely a cool place to get away from the crowd and have a drink.

    Stayed in NYC for 4 nights, went to Bobs 4 times. Anyone who enjoys the real neighborhood bar experience should come here. Bartender Greg made it much more enjoyable. As long as Im in NYC, I will be coming back to Bobs.

    Havent been here in my old neighborhood for quite some times. I see the same bartender I met 3 years should still there. That s good. Beer, BYOF, high tables for tallsters sitting. A less tall group sitting square booth available. I saw people has dogs there before. Did not see any this time but dogs were chilling by the bar lol. Cute.

    I dont even wanna review Bobs at the risk of it being overcrowded with students, but I want Danielle to make aaaaaall the money so 5 stars it is. if I could live here I would. So happy we moved into this neighborhood, Bobs is the best local weve ever had. Kirstin is a total star, and Danielle is fab.Dog friendly, GREAT happy hour, shuffleboard, yahtzee... its everything.Bobs is everything.

    Neighborhood bar updated nice but I miss Ding Dong. Has potential but music from lame Pandora channel, beer selection needs further attention from management. Service ok but I felt it kind of presumptuous forgetting? my change on a $10 bill after ordering a pint--unless the pint was $10 but I dont know because no prices were listed on the board. Would have left the change as a tip, but i like to feel Im making the call.

    Quite possibly my favorite UWS bar. The staff is amazing, its really chill, and they have a great selection. Its my favorite bar to go to to just chill with a friend or two.

    Bobs is the most balanced bar in NY : his cheap beers come with a very serious service. Games are available for free, and the place is spacy enough for you to bring all your friends to get wasted or more.     I have been going to this bar for years now and it is a great neighborhood bar. I have made so many close friendships from this place, including many of the staff. They are extremely welcoming and make you feel like your at home. During these crazy times, it’s great to have a place like Bob’s where you can still connect with your friends. I would highly recommend stopping by for a drink or two and experience all they have to give.

    Local UWS bar away from the craziness that is Columbia University. The bartenders are amazing, the crowd is cool, there is table shuffle board and an assortment of board games. Oh, and the beer selection is amazing. Just an overall amazing atmosphere and the epitome of a great local bar.     My husband and I stopped into Bobs your uncle after visiting the Museum of NYC. It was the perfect way to beat the heat. Great air conditioning inside, and delightful hard seltzer’s- shout out to Willys Hard Seltzer. Only downside was no food, we expected a Big Bob’s burger, but alas, no dice.

    A great, local place with chill rules and great people. Good selection, good vibe, and strong drinks. Generally, as long as you are polite and pay you are welcome. The cross section of the patrons is diverse. At the time of writing it is bring your own food and there is a very welcoming pet policy. If you are in the very honest neighborhood of Manhattan Valley, Bobsays come to Bobs! A true local flavor.
