Open space in queens? Oh come on. Yup this is the place. Music, food beer, in a huge outdoor space. Get the kielbasa with the pretzel bun, and the pretzel. The beers are on draft so you can’t go wrong. We got there at 5pm on a midweek night, I’d come back in a heartbeat!

  • Review 2 (2022-06-20 - Rating: 5)

Great place to go with friends on a Friday night. Nice selection of pub food. The pretzel with cheese starter is huge. Brats and kielbasa come with two large portions. Both grilled, both delicious. Several beers on tap, full bar, decent selection of hard seltzers and cider.

  • Review 3 (2024-10-14 - Rating: 5)

Service excellent! Food… the giant pretzel was awesome! I prefer the brown mustard but it comes with beer cheese. I had the veggie burger and very much enjoyed it. The veggie patty fell apart but it was very good and the side salad was a perfect size. My friends ordered the crispy chicken sandwich with fries and the kiobasa sausage (2 other choices of sausage, bratwurst or andouille) on a pretzel roll (or rye/hot dog bun). Apparently it was pretty good. Very family friendly, kids everywhere. We sat outdoors on a nice day in mid October and it was so perfect. They have a lot of seating inside as well. So many choices for beer! As a wine, cocktail, can drinker. I had an iced tea Sun Cruiser, I live there b/c they are NOT carbonated. Also had a lime Truly Tequila, I liked that it’s not sweet. Then the Blue Oasis, I’m a sucker for blue drinks, feeling like I’m in vacay. 🤣. Very good, touch of sweet, I wish it had been a little stronger, but I really enjoyed it.

Firstly, the security at the front was very friendly and had good energy. We all loved his vibe. First time here, very spacious and nice service. They have a friendly staff.French fries was good. I love breaded French Fries. Loved the sausages. Must try. Grilled Andouille mix of beef and pork. Delicious. Grilled Klobasa pork was delicious too. Hamburger was average.Weather was perfect to hangout in the garden. It Wasn’t too crowded for a weekday. Just right crowd.

I haven’t been here in many years but I truly had fun together. There was a Quiet Events silent disco party in collaboration with Yelp which was amazing. The food looks amazing. Service is good.

In the rain while seeing the Christmas Tree behind the closed gate inside, that was a Christmas miracle after seeing their Christmas Tree from outside. Hashtag to everybody at Astorias Bohemian Hall & Garden after seeing their Christmas Tree from outside is Christmas Touchdown🏈🤘💛💚🎄!

  • Review 8 (2022-09-18 - Rating: 5)

Definitely a great summer spot! Plenty of tables for big groups or sharing if people are open to it!We ended up getting the grilled and smoked sausage from an independent stand and it was delicious. I am sure their kitchen/grill items are great too. They do ID at the door, so be sure to have yours when you come.

  • Review 9 (2024-11-02 - Rating: 4)

Just stopped in to have a Czech beer & upload some Google Maps reviews after work. Fun place; took me back about twenty years!

  • Review 10 (2024-08-03 - Rating: 5)

Atmosphere is amazing, great to spend a day having a picnic and playing lawn games. Beer selection is good as well.

  • Review 11 (2019-05-26 - Rating: 4)

Good selection of beers, off course, cant expect anything else from a Beer garden. Food is good, a mix of German and American. Service is not quite good outside, bartender was very slow, inside is a different story, but overall place is good. Perfect for after work on hot summer days.

  • Review 12 (2018-06-16 - Rating: 4)

Decent place to have a drink with someone. The place feels a bit like a cafeteria, and they ‘open a tab’ when you order food.

  • Review 13 (2024-05-20 - Rating: 4)

When I visit again, Ill try the food. The beer section is Czech oriented and pretty good, from what I had. The staff are very friendly and attentive. I like it, Ill be back.

  • Review 14 (2022-09-11 - Rating: 4)

Huge beer garden with picnic tables, beer, and food. Great for big groups and parties. A little pricey

  • Review 15 (2023-10-22 - Rating: 5)

Yesterday we had a casual gathering for my son’s 40th birthday 🥳 The staff was great the food was delicious. Greg who supervised our every need was fantastic. Kind, friendly, and attentive. Thank you to all the staff for making our celebration a happy and memorable experience.

  • Review 16 (2020-07-25 - Rating: 4)

Not bad. A little pricey but still not a bad atmosphere post pandemic. 21 por a picture of draft and bottle or mug is 8.

  • Review 17 (2023-04-22 - Rating: 5)

Love this place! Hadnt been back since the pandemic and it made me happy to return. The food is fine, service is a little slow on a weekend evening, but the atmosphere and the beer are awesome! Such a great spot for the community to come together. We need more of those in this crazy world ❤️

  • Review 18 (2019-07-11 - Rating: 4)

Vast outdoor area it looks like an old school yard . One central sound system not a good sound Large beers large choice

  • Review 21 (2019-06-22 - Rating: 5)

Huge open space with a stage in the middle, very friendly staff and great selection of drinks, beers at good prices. Great place for big crowds and kid friendly.

  • Review 22 (2018-07-12 - Rating: 5)

Large open garden with plenty of covered seating. Great for big groups, even families.

  • Review 23 (2023-10-01 - Rating: 5)

Best outdoor garden in the city. Ample picnic table seating. Music and Special events and activities during the Fall.

  • Review 24 (2023-09-30 - Rating: 5)

Great beer selection and Czech and Slovakia foods

  • Review 25 (2020-10-24 - Rating: 4)

Excellent service. Very professional and always mindful of social distancing. The was better than expected for a bar. The pretzels are perfect and I loved the monster burger with portobello mushroom on it. The beer as always is great. They are family friendly so you can bring your kids.

  • Review 26 (2014-10-04 - Rating: 5)

Yes we loved it. A family friendly Beer garden. This place could also be one of the many I visited in Europe. We had met with friends and on a beautiful day naturally took seats outdoors. They do have a server coming to the tables and taking orders. Choose from Bratwurst, Schnitzel or many of the great items on the menu. Of course they have beer and a good selection of it too. Overall the areas looked clean and is very well kept. The atmosphere is what makes this place special. Everyone was friendly from the minute we walked in.

  • Review 27 (2019-07-05 - Rating: 5)

One of my favorite spots in the Summer/Fall seasons. The food is great, although a tiny bit on the higher priced side, and the beer selection is also large. To be cost effective in beer consumption, just go with their pitchers. The benches are large and Ive never had a hard time finding a good spot to sit and play cards or just have a good time with friends.

  • Review 28 (2019-06-25 - Rating: 4)

The atmosphere is great just plenty of TVs to watch your favorite sport. Its a great place to have a beer with family and friends. This place occasionally has live music and events at night. The only reason this place doesnt get five stars is because the outdoor bartenders attitude could be more friendly to put it politely.

  • Review 29 (2019-05-22 - Rating: 5)

I went on a beautiful Sunday with my wife and two daughters (3 yr and 3 month old). We were able to get a table outside without a problem and the umbrellas were great for shade. A waitress took our food and drink orders and we didnt have to wait long. The french fries, chicken fingers and sausage was good for the price. I love the beer selection though and $18 pitchers are a big plus. My 3 yr old was also able to run around and even made a friend as many parents had brought their kids. Overall a great afternoon!

  • Review 30 (2018-06-24 - Rating: 4)

This is a cool spot to hang out, especially in the outdoor beer garden. There is plenty of picnic table seating available. Apparently you have to have a tab open and order food from a server if you are sitting at a table though? We went for happy hour after work, so we were a somewhat large group of people coming and going, and needed separate checks so we wanted to just order at the bar and all sit together. The server made us order from him though and was somewhat rude about it. The experience threw me off, but Id probably be willing to give the place another try. It wasnt too crowded on a weekday evening and would recommend going there for dinner and drinks if you dont mind ordering everything all together from your server and dont mind waiting for the kind of slow service.

  • Review 31 (2023-05-30 - Rating: 5)

Nice garden with space and trees. Czech beer and food.

  • Review 32 (2019-08-14 - Rating: 4)

The outdoor seating was amazing. Varieties of beer plus full bar on top of that snacks and some food options as well. There was happy hour as well although we werent there during happy hour. Bartenders and even security guards were super friendly and welcoming. The only reason to remove one star was when server closed our tab on the card that we just left at bar to open tab on. Without informing us brought the settled check in our table not asking for permission to use our credit card, which was not professional at all although server was cheerful and friendly. However will b back for sure.

  • Review 33 (2018-08-17 - Rating: 5)

Great down to earth atmosphere. Not trendy, not modern, just a good old style yard with pick nick tables to sit around with great company and enjoy a great beer. The yard is surrounded by large trees that offer a great shade but yet allow for enough sun to pass so youre reminded that you are outside. The beer selection is amazing and as someone who loves beer and have been to the chez Republic, these guys dont mess around with their beer selection. The food is great for when you are downing a few cold ones. Also, dont forget that you are able to bring your kinds and share a good time with the family

  • Review 34 (2019-05-17 - Rating: 4)

Authentic Czech beer hall that has been a staple in the neighborhood for years. Good beer as well as other spirits. The menu caters to many different tastes. Large outdoor seating area which is great for groups. The interior bar is a very good place to get a beer as well. They also have a full dining room inside for meals.

  • Review 35 (2024-06-23 - Rating: 5)

There is always something cool happening here. So glad I live super close. :))

  • Review 36 (2013-10-01 - Rating: 5)

A lovely outdoor beer garden with a bunch of space and good foods. Admittedly, I didnt drink at all here as I was here to play some table top games with friends, but it seems like a great place to spend time with good company when the weather is warm enough. I did chat with the bartender briefly and she was rather pleasant. Its only a few blocks away from the subway as well as an area with lots of cabs. I recommend it.

  • Review 37 (2022-10-17 - Rating: 5)

One of the best spots that you can go to for Octoberfest in NYC! Such a fun vibe, good food, and great beer options. The garden is larger and can sit many people. Small groups or large would easily find a place here. Come hungry because the food is super good. Looking to come back sometime soon!

  • Review 38 (2022-07-21 - Rating: 4)

5 stars for if you just want to drink and relax.3 for if you want to get food. The alcohol ordering process makes sense. You go to the bar. The food is inane. We sat around for 30 minutes before a waiter found us. It took another 30 to get it, and they lost one of our orders twice, for okay Biergarten style food.

  • Review 39 (2019-04-10 - Rating: 4)

Good place to come on a sunny day to drink beers with a big group. I wouldnt recommend it for a small group (2-3) as it is very loud and it is communal seating. Great for parties or gatherings. Delicious Czech beers and awesome food. Crowded on a nice day but where isnt in New York?

  • Review 40 (2017-06-13 - Rating: 5)

Historic beer garden that is one of kind. Huge outdoor space to enjoy delicious beers and scrumptious food. They have a wide variety of grilled sausages and other mouthwatering foods that go great with drinking. It can get pretty crowded so dont be shy, make some new friends and share a table!

  • Review 41 (2021-06-19 - Rating: 5)

Awesome outdoor space with great people. The service is very attentive and our group is having a blast. Our server Gerald Molina is friendly and working quickly to get our food and drinks out.

  • Review 42 (2018-07-12 - Rating: 5)

One of favorite places in the neighborhood and in NYC. Big and tree shaded outdoor space. A smoking section. Good selection of beer on tap. Decent bar food. And very chill vibe... chill enough to bring our toddler with us. Watched the Croatia v. England game here, the atmosphere was electric.

  • Review 43 (2013-06-09 - Rating: 4)

If I lived here I would be here a lot. On a Sunday afternoon lots of families with little kids dancing on the large central stage, younger crowd also mixed in. At the same time, hundreds of 20-40 somethings enjoying what seemed like a giant block party. Didnt try the food, but the patio had some tempting sausages grilling. Great beer on tap.

  • Review 44 (2016-07-18 - Rating: 5)

Love this place!! Large old school Beer Garden, with big communal tables under huge old trees and kielbasa hot off the grill. Always full if the weathers nice, and thats the way its fun. Lots of Czech beers on tap, pitchers everywhere! A nice mix of people; young middle aged, even families enjoying the hundred year old, largest original beer garden in New York City. There is a stage with live music at times, and a Czechoslovakian Heritage weekend in the spring. Take the train, parking in tough in this part of Astoria.

  • Review 45 (2016-07-07 - Rating: 5)

The best old school Beer Garden in NYC. You dont come here for exceptional table service, but the space and the ability to drink your beer in a huge (by NYC standards) space. In the warmer seasons, the outside grill offers a great, relatively quick food option. Flagging down one of the waitstaff to get food from the kitchen can be tricky, but the food is good, too.If youre not in it for the crowds, the best times to go are weekend afternoons when there are no sporting events being shown, Mon-Wed and the Fall. Its also very family friendly during the day with lots of kids playing on the outdoor dance floor.

  • Review 46 (2018-12-29 - Rating: 5)

The original beer hall in NYC, this place is good for anyone. The drinks are cold and well priced, the food is great beer hall food and the ambiance is neighborhood like and friendly. Come here with kids in the day, and its no problem, come here at night and its got great unpretentious atmosphere.

  • Review 47 (2019-07-04 - Rating: 4)

Big outdoor space, great selection of beers. Full open bar, food and service. Separate area for smoking zone and non smoking zone 👍👍👍

  • Review 48 (2019-07-05 - Rating: 4)

I LOVE this place. Its one of my faves. Its very busy in the summer, but in the winter/early spring as Ive been going, its easy to get a table for two right away around 6pm for dinner. Expect some high-quality, authentic Greek food in super large portions. The chicken kebab is amazing - succulent even. Ive been getting the dip trio, which is a perfect meal paired with their bread. Most of their Greek wines come in bottles but keep in mind that both their house red and their house white are very good and are only $6 per glass. I recommend splitting the Greek salad among your party. Get a small if its two of you and a large if its more. Youll be impressed by the feta and the bountiful amount of tomatoes. The lemon potatoes are the side you should definitely choose to accompany your entree and if youre feeling splurgy, go for the grilled octopus. You wont regret it.

  • Review 49 (2021-09-22 - Rating: 4)

The city of Harlema has changed a lot since 2003. Return to this where you discover any different origins. We also meet Muslims. On the cleanliness side, there is progress to be made. The United States has a country visited some places not to frequent. 🇺🇲 One day Michael Jackson said the world must heal. ❤️

  • Review 51 (2018-07-01 - Rating: 5)

Great outdoor party place. It takes up a half a block, has high walls and great garden set up. Feels like European beer garden. Feels like you are not in the city. Gets crazy at football games. More relax off peak hours. Good for friends, families with kids. Special events like wine tasting days, folklore, hunters ball...

  • Review 52 (2016-03-19 - Rating: 5)

Perfect for spring, summer, and fall weather. Outside area is great and usually pretty crowded but thats okay. Usually there is live music and the acts are really good. Beer and drink prices and selection is awesome. A great spot to hang with friends.

  • Review 53 (2022-10-02 - Rating: 4)

A great beer garden in the top edge of Queens with plenty of outdoor space. Ive visited a few times to have some beer and hang out with friends. There is also venue space inside where events can be hosted such as a Battle of the Bands and Oktoberfest. Its proximity to the N train, which runs infrequently late on weekends, does detract slightly, but otherwise it is a joy to visit.

  • Review 54 (2018-12-26 - Rating: 5)

Very nice local pub with a nice selection of beers and ciders. I loved the vibe here, very layed back with a friendly staff. They also have happy hour whenever a NFL game is playing which was nice surprise. Whenever I find myself on this side of NYC I will sure to visit this beer garden again! Wonderful overall experience!

  • Review 55 (2021-04-22 - Rating: 5)

This is an excellent place to wash down hearty, Bohemian pub fare (along with American favorites) with cold, Czech pilsners on tap. The Bohemian Hall offers ample, outdoor seating under beautifully mature trees in its true, European-like beer garden. This spot is hard to beat after an afternoon strolling through nearby Astoria Park. Shows, live music, and sport viewings happen here as well. Dont let the poor press from politicians deter you from visiting this business!

  • Review 56 (2024-07-04 - Rating: 5)

The Grill people leave the french fries out after they make a huge amount of them and they get cold. The sausages are good. The big pretzel is expensive. The beer is great but the guys serving it dont smile at all. The atmosphere is wonderful.

  • Review 57 (2021-05-20 - Rating: 5)

So glad they are reopened again just in time for summer. Make sure you obey the social distancing rules!

  • Review 58 (2019-07-05 - Rating: 5)

A note, first: Ive only ever been here for lunch. They serve lunch and dinner, and the lunch is much more reasonably priced and theres even a bit more variety. This is a rare find--a brewpub thats also an exquisite restaurant. Most brewpubs have good food but its very basic, wholesome fare. Trap Rock aspires a little more, and it works.Lunches are a variety of sandwiches, pizzas, entrees, and pastas. The burgers are very good here--one of the few times Ill get off the meatless wagon is to enjoy one. And the fresh made potato chips or french fries that are served with the sandwiches are excellent. So you can go there just for the top quality food, but this is a brewpub. The beers are also of a similar high quality to the food, clearly crafted to complement the adventurous menu. The variety changes with seasons but I havent had a bad beer here by a longshot. Its a nice restaurant for occasions with a comfortable but upscale mountain lodge decor. They can handle large groups for lunch and I assume for dinner in their upstairs room.Overall, its a tasty restaurant, and a nice place to go when you want a notch above casual, and a bonus if you love good beer.

  • Review 59 (2024-07-20 - Rating: 4)

Super easy and fun. Always some seats, kid friendly and dog friendly. Tons of things to entertain you while youre there - sports screens, shows, Cornhole, darts and more.

  • Review 60 (2016-06-26 - Rating: 5)

Beer and food and the whole space are are authentic without being pretentious. love the vibe. all ages. it warms my (buzzed) heart seeing parents drink liters with a bunch of kids running around playing. if the weather is nice its a great option for relaxing and indulging.

  • Review 61 (2018-06-16 - Rating: 4)

Nice place to have a silent party in the summer. However the out door bar needed help. They had one bar with three bartenders. Luckily people ordered pitchers of beer and not drinks. It would help to add another bar area for drinks.

  • Review 62 (2019-07-05 - Rating: 5)

Great place for beer on a warm day, particularly Czech beer. A few times a yeah they also have Czech cultural events

  • Review 63 (2018-09-05 - Rating: 5)

Grapefruit beer is delicious. Angry orchard Rosé Cider by the pitcher? Off the hook. Food is appetizing. Family friendly environment. Highly recommend for a nice day of drinking and relaxing. Bring cards to pass the time as you hang out seated in cafeteria/picnic table style seating (that has table service!)

  • Review 64 (2019-07-05 - Rating: 5)

Regardless of the weather, this is an open air beer garden that Im proud to give my custom. They have an amazing beer selection of Czech varieties, and even have a local brewery making one exclusively for them. Over 100 years old, this place is as lively as ever, and if youre hungry, theres no shortage of grilled food outdoors, or you can order from the indoor menu too. Take a group to stake down your own table, sometimes space is limited.

  • Review 65 (2018-08-07 - Rating: 5)

This place is amazing. First of all, kids are welcome and theres plenty of room for them to run and play while Mom and Dad enjoy an adult beverage. And you dont feel like a scumbag for bringing baby to a bar.

  • Review 66 (2019-07-05 - Rating: 4)

The beer garden is a great place to grab a beer with friends on a pretty day! They have a million benches to sit on and down a few pitchers of beer. They have an open grill in the warm months and sell delicious kalbasa! The service is just alright, but its worth it for the atmosphere!

  • Review 67 (2015-08-08 - Rating: 4)

Typical NYC happy hour ($4 a beer) but perhaps differentiated though because its $4 a pint (rather than a cup). Great outdoor and indoor beer garden and large space for a variety of people, so its a fun experience.. Could get a little tough with bugs (as with any outdoor beer garden) so make sure to use some lavender oil or bug spray before heading over.

  • Review 68 (2016-07-17 - Rating: 4)

Although it gets crowded on weekends its a much chiller vibe than the other beer garden in Astoria. The chicken burger and fries were so good as was the German beer they had on draft. The grapefruit beer is too sweet for my taste

  • Review 69 (2018-09-01 - Rating: 4)

The Bohemian beer garden is a nice beer garden in Astoria. The Bohemian Beer Garden is easy to get to from the Upper West Side, you just take the M60 bus, and youre there! The atmosphere is pretty bad because of the rowdy crowd. The food is good. I ordered the Bratwurst sausage, a Shirley Temple, and some fries. It tasted great! I didnt realize that it was a Czech restaurant until I saw it on Google Maps. Great beer, and food selection. You can even get Juice for your kids.

  • Review 70 (2023-02-12 - Rating: 5)

A friend that lives in NYC took us there on a visit. It was amazing. The Czech food was soooo good. The atmosphere was even better. Its one of our go tos on any NYC trip.

  • Review 71 (2018-07-13 - Rating: 5)

Great beer garden! Good happy hour, good food. Chill setting with long tables. Much more quaint than nearby Studio Square. And it does have TVs showing sports (smaller TVs than those at SS).

  • Review 72 (2019-10-22 - Rating: 4)

Bought my first comic book here when it was just a flea market. Now its been consumed with delicious ales and very above average food that I was certainly not expecting to be so good. Be careful though, pick the wrong person on the wrong night and you can consider your day ruined. Drink with caution.

  • Review 73 (2013-03-19 - Rating: 4)

Love to take friends here. Music can be a bit loud and obnoxious sometimes, but thats ok. Sit down and talk to friends during a nice afternoon with some beers. And $9 sausages. Or go during happy hour - they have $3 beers!

  • Review 74 (2016-05-02 - Rating: 5)

The original Astoria Beer Garden! Amazing place, great beer (Belgian only I believe), occasional performances, a decent selection from the grill. This place rocks! We danced on stage in the pouring rain here one year. Love was in the air.

  • Review 75 (2016-09-06 - Rating: 5)

One of my favorite places to be during the summer. Excellent beer and drink options available, ample outdoor seating. Bathroom upkeep is great. Staff are friendly. The silent parties are a blast here!

  • Review 76 (2019-07-05 - Rating: 5)

A great place to meet up with large groups to watch a game or just hang out. And dont let the name fool you: they have a full bar. Also a wide menu of European food that goes great with a beer.

  • Review 77 (2016-03-16 - Rating: 5)

This place is classic. No where else like it. The prices and beer selection are great. The food is greasy but only in the best way. Dont come if you feel guilty pigging out and playing cards or whatever.

  • Review 78 (2023-10-20 - Rating: 5)

  • Review 79 (2019-07-05 - Rating: 5)

Amazing, huge outdoor space perfect for large groups and celebrations. Beer selection is excellent and they serve easily the best pretzel Ive ever eaten. I love this place!

  • Review 80 (2016-12-18 - Rating: 4)

Low-key, amazing giant beer garden, great food and fantastic beer. I had the steamed pirogues and sauerkraut which were delicious and a weissbier. It was pretty empty outside since its getting near winter, but there were heat lamps to all get cozy and stay warm.Bring all your friends!!! All of them!

Nice and loud if that is how you like your beer garden. The garden area is really big and nice for a group of your friends to chill and just get drunk. Not too sure on the food since i didnt see much selection of food.

  • Review 82 (2019-04-28 - Rating: 5)

Amazing amount of room with great selection of beers. Denim is the name of the game here.

  • Review 83 (2016-07-11 - Rating: 4)

Good gastropub but tight seating and extremely loud.My friend and I shared meatball pizza, spinach and artichoke dip, and the braised short ribs. The meatball pizza was ok. I was expecting actual meatballs on top, not just crumbled meat. The spinach and artichoke dip was really good. It actually tastes like fresh spinach, not frozen. The braised short ribs had great flavor but were a bit dry on the inside. The side of truffle Mac was awesome.I love that most dishes were served in a cast iron skillet. Nice presentation.I would come back and try more items, they have a pretty extensive menu.

This is a typical beer hall/garden that you would find in Europe. Lots of outdoor seating in the garden with large tables, umbrellas and trees for shade. Food is typical of a beer hall: sausages, sauerkraut, burgers and fries, nothing special. The beer selection is also the standard Czech and German pilsners and weissbier. They have music here on occasion, as well as football matches. Inside is your standard wooden construction. The bar area is a little cramped, but you can order drinks outside as well. This place has everything you want from a European style beer hall: A large outdoor garden with plenty of shade for the summer. Good beers and food to match. Its a popular place in the neighborhood and a good choice for a Friday night or weekend afternoon.

Yesterday, we organized a relaxed gathering to celebrate my sons 4th birthday. The service was exceptional, and the food was delicious. Greg, who managed every detail, was truly remarkable. He was friendly, approachable, and extremely attentive. We extend our sincere thanks to the entire staff for making our celebration both joyful and unforgettable.

  • Review 86 (2016-09-09 - Rating: 4)

It is what it is... a 100+ year old Czech beer garden. The service is slow and generally bad, but during the day on weekends you get to sit outside among big trees and drink mediocre beer while your kids run around like hooligans in the gravel. Just be warned that this place turns a little fratty after 9pm.Oh, and the food is fantastic, if you can ever get your order taken and/or your food delivered. If starving, a better bet is to walk up to the grill outside during the summer.Beware the occasionally draconian door policy about not bringing in outside containers, wrapped gifts, or anything that remotely smacks of food (i.e. goldfish crackers or cheerios for your kid, or even a wrapped granola bar). However, this policy hasnt been uniformly enforced lately, so IDk.

Over 100 years old, Bohemian Hall is the oldest beer garden in New York City and one of the most well loved. It is a big space with rows of green picnic tables. In the middle there is an open paved area (for dancing!) in front of a stage. Throughout the day, various bands will be playing all genres of music. I suggest getting the full Bohemian experience by walking over to their outdoor Garden Grill. The cashier said their specialties were kielbasa, sauerkraut and Staropramen Lager; and I now know why- it is delicious. Go early, grab a table, bring your friends, play some cards, and have a great time having a few brews in the sunshine.

Alexis and her trainee Pierce made us feel at home, were very attentive, and walked us through all the specials with admirable clarity. Great way to chill after a stressful week, almost like being back in Czech Republic.

This is a great place if you have kids. Very family friendly but some of the rules have changed in regards to the kids. No kids after a certain hours which is to be expected. And you have to make sure they dont throw or grab the rocks.

Great service, feels like a European beer garden.

  • Review 101 (2017-10-16 - Rating: 4)

Beer garden outside and the grilled specials are a great treat. Live music on the weekends, check their calendar for times and bands. Oktoberfest specials are a great time if that is the season.

  • Review 102 (2018-04-19 - Rating: 4)

  • Review 104 (2018-10-21 - Rating: 5)

Bottom line: awesome beer garden with a frosty Czech beer. Didnt try the food but this is more of a chill spot in my opinion.Gluten line: didnt eat but they have a full bar.Long line: awesome wide open set up with a live band during our visit. The selection of beer was somewhat limited but I was pleased to find a selection of proper Czech beers including a dunkel. Vibe was overall very welcoming and we had a great time hanging out here.
