    You go here knowing you’re going to spend some money, and if you’re going in ready to try new things and get expert advice on your new favorite drinks, this place is worth every penny. The atmosphere is amazing, the couches are comfortable, and the staff is friendly, laid back, and exquisitely knowledgeable. I took my partner here because he appreciates quality and uniqueness in his food and drink and is honestly hard to impress, but this did it! I had an amazing boulevardier and he left with a newfound love of sherried whiskeys.

    Brandy Library was the icing on the cake of a great night in Tribeca. We werent sure if we could be accommodated because we were a big group, but hostess Diana made it work right away. She also made amazing food recommendations, including accommodating food restrictions. Then Liam, the living whiskey encyclopedia, took us on a journey trying spirits we had never heard of while telling us the history of each pour. If youre a whiskey expert, this is the place to expand your knowledge. If youre just starting out, dont be intimidated, the experts here will guide you with no judgment.

    Great variety of brandy’s, whiskeys, rums and tequilas. Sophisticated and intimate atmosphere. Definitely great date spot. You can do tasting and have professional explaining about your drink. On the way out they give you cookies for to go :)

    Overall the Brandy Library was a solid whiskey bar experience. The variety of liquors available was impressive across types (mezcal, tequila, bourbon, scotch, etc.) I will say the rare bourbon selection was more limited than I expected. The flights were a nice option to see as well - I enjoyed the Smoked Out flight in particular. The food we tried wasnt to my taste, but that was a minor issue. Id come back again for more whiskey.

    I came here on a Friday night for a few drinks. I ordered their old fashioned and espresso martini. The atmosphere is very neat and has a strong brandy/whiskey focus. The drinks are a bit pricey so its a place thats great to visit but not to stay for that long.

    Hideaway in Tribeca. North Moore Street location. Perfect for couples, alone or with friends. I went with two friends and enjoyed a surprise brandy tasting. It was so much fun! Near the 1 subway stop of Franklin Street. Atmosphere is sophisticated. Trendy and cool.

    The term well stocked doesnt begin to describe the selection. This place has Brandy and whiskey from around the world at your fingertips, and their extensive menu is impressive. I appreciate that there are tasting notes for each selection, so even if you dont know many whiskies you can still choose one you like. Theres also some good food options for nibbles, and a selection of cocktails.

    If you like scotch, whiskey, whisky, brandy, rum, gin, cheese, and all things tasty in a place thats charming, go for it. Keep in mind its not a cheap spot, but what you pay for its darn good.The staff knows their stuff, too. Youre paying for drinks, but also the expertise of the staff.

    Similar to its sister, Copper and Oak, the environment is enveloped in copper hues. The space is much bigger, allowing for lounging and group chills. If youre a brandy novice, theyll help you find what you might like. Good for romantic or intimate gatherings.

    This place is a must go in NYC. If i could give infinite stars for the service, i would. It was an amazing experience. My husband and I had a date night and we has John to care for us. He was incredible in understanding our taste and suggesting labels that would fit them. We made tasting flights with a cheese selection and had some whisky afterwards. Thanks so much, John! You rock!

    My third visit here and its a great experience every time. The staff is extremely professional and very knowledgeable. The environment is so unique and interesting. And of course the drinks are top notch. (Expect it to be pretty pricey though... $20 pour of Bourbon is what I had.) Spirits up is their specialty. So dont go expecting some sort of fruity mixed drink. But they do have everything - tequlia, vodka, rum, port, whiskey, and of course brandy.Highly recommend at least one - after dinner - visit.

    The setting is comfortable and lined with dark woods, part old Library, party study/smoking room. The walls are lines with 1000’s of bottles of brandy, scotch, whiskey and everything else you could imagine. The bar is comfortable, but the perimeter chairs and couches are like being in a study of a mansion. The bartenders are incredibly knowledgeable, mind blowingly so given the breadth of offerings. Enjoyed a nice few hours sipping and selecting.

    Amazing spot for high end tastings of whiskey, scotch, tequila, and rum. They also do cocktails, tasting flights, and beers. Service is impeccable as well. They only allow people to drink if they have a seat, so it can be tough to just walk in and get a drink - reservations recommended.

    We just stumbled upon the most incredible whiskey bar and its now my new favorite spot in New York City! Diana, our server, was an absolute gem. She expertly guided us through the extensive whiskey selection and even allowed us to sample a few different options before making our final choice. Her knowledge and passion for whiskey were truly infectious. The atmosphere of the bar is also top-notch – its cozy and inviting, with a warm and welcoming ambiance. Well definitely be back for more!

    High end place to get essentially any whiskey, bourbon, etc you can think of. If you comr in a group, you can get a decent sized table to sit at, but I came with a buddy of mine and ended up at a table that could barely fit our glasses and the glass they give for ice. We had to combine 2 tables to get everything to fit. The space is a bit tight too; my seat kept bumping against the seat of the person behind me.

    Finally a legit whiskey bar, thousands of bottles of whiskey of all kinds. Very mellow, dim, but classy atmosphere, lounge style with a bar, has a downstairs with additional seating if needed, also used for private events (as per the host). Very fun experience , would go again anytime.

    I consider Brandy Library the cream of the crop when it comes to spirits and liquors. The service is impeccable and very knowledgeable about the flavors and tastes of the drinks.I had a work event for approximately 35-40 people in the basement and could not be more pleased with how everything went. I received multiple compliments all night for the venue and service and I absolutely agreed with them. The food and bartender service was top notch. I would recommend this to everyone that is planning a corporate event.

    Great experience. This is a great place to hang out with a small group. Its nice to have a bar that you dont have to try to fight to get the bartenders attention.A bit on the pricey side, but its worth it for the benefit of the atmosphere and having a space where you can relax. Drink menu is great and you certainly dont have to be a brandy fan to find something amazing to drink.

    This place definitely lives up to its name. And not just brandy! Whiskey, rum, tequila, and other spirits are here in abundance.I started off with a Manhattan made with a delicious rye from the hills of Pennsylvania. Aptly named Dads Hat, after my favorite headgear, it was quite tasty and the perfect start to the flight or Irish whiskies I had next, which was AMAZING.My colleague had a flight of Japanese whiskies and couldnt stop raving about it.We both made notes and will be adding some of the whisky we tried to our home bars.

    Great place to lounge and enjoy whisky and a cigar. The decor is classy, yet comfortable and they have one of the widest arrays of whiskey I’ve seen to date! Our whiskey sommelier was friendly, personable and extremely knowledgeable guiding us to new flavors and profiles we hadn’t experienced before. I also loved the selection of flights to choose from and enjoyed indulging in some of my favorites that were included in the “Smoked Out” flight. I purchased a cigar for the road and plan to enjoy with a bottle of one of my new discoveries from the Brandy Library.

    Absolutely amazing experience! The lounge-like atmosphere is so cool and very spacious for New York. I went to ask a couple of friends to be my bridesmaids and the staff was on top of everything. They gave us a free appetizer, dessert, and champagne. And the drink menu is pages long, something for everyone. Highly, highly recommend for drinks and/or dinner.

Its the kind of bar designed for good conversation while enjoying and savoring cocktails, not getting wasted. While you could get yourself drunk here, youll need deep pockets to do so. This is a fantastic spot that is a classic.

    Great list of spirits. been many times after some great dinners. was there last night. just finished dinner, it was warm, wanted something refreshing before diving into the bourbon. asked for a Hemingway daiquiri while reading the list and was denied. We dont make those. We are strict. first time Ive ever been refused such a simple drink. very disappointing.

    Salvador served me my blind stave tasting at the bar and he was wonderful! Very knowledgeable and the service was impeccable. Shoutout to the rest of the staff as well- they were incredible welcoming. I will definitely be back!

    Great place if you like whiskeys. Atmosphere was great, staff was extremely knowledgable and friendly. Selection immense. Tried several of the appetizers and they were great. The cheese puffs and lamb in a blanket were delicious. Not a cheap place but well worth the cost.

    Beautifully and immaculately appointed in dark brown leathers and wood, theres a cozy and affluent energy as soon as you cross the threshold. Lots of copper details at the bar, and the walls are lined with floor-to-ceiling shelves, absolutely filled with every kind of brown spirit you can think of, and some you didnt even know existed.I enjoyed a very well curated flight of Cognac, while my friend opted for the American Whisky. We also ordered some cheese and olives to munch on. Beers, wines, and a modest cocktail menu are also available.Most of the clientele are of the finance bro types, of all ages, and I did notice a number of tourists as well.Enjoyed the experience, everything was very comfortable, the Cognac flight was superb, the server was really great and knowledgeable. Would definitely recommend if youre into this kind of thing.

    I really love this place, the staff is fantastic and can help you with recommendations based on what you know you like already even if its obscure, the whiskey, scotch, and bourbon they have is both good and one of the best selections Ive ever seen if not the best, and they recently expanded their food menu so that you can get their snacks which are really good, but also full meals. The decor is great as well, and the jazz that goes along with it really helps set the mood.

    Big fan of this place! The full list of brandy and whiskey is impressive and the prices are similar to what Ive seen other places. They have some good food options since youre required to have food, not a big list though. One thing Ill say is they offer cigars for smoking at some of the outdoor seating, people will likely be smoking so dont go here if youre going to make a fuss over the smell, if you dont want to smell cigar smoke just go somewhere else

    Its a library of booze... what more do you want? Seriously its got an amazing selection of whiskey and alcohol ... their menu is a binder like maybe 2 inches thick! But they know how to make classic cocktails and their own fun ones. Amazing date place, never so loud a buzz that you cant talk to someone. Their GOUGÈRES yes it needs capital letters... just amazing and terrible in that you will keep ordering them. Staff is great and this place can get busy but fantastic bar not quite speakeasy but reminiscent of classic early century bars. A top bar to hit in NYC.

    This place has a very pleasant atmosphere: classy but not uptight. The spirit selection is excellent. Although the waiter strangely did not engage in much dialogue when we described our preferences and asked for recommendations, the end result was very good. Even the cocktails are well-executed here. I recommend visiting this spot for a drink or two.

    A unique experience in consumption of liquor. A classy, comfortable decor with menus featuring a gigantic selection of every major type of liquor. The wait staff is good and helps tame the menu by honing in on what youll enjoy by inquiring as to what youve already tried and liked. A great place to have a drink.

    Really great place for lovers of brown alcohol. Everyone is usually dressed up so dont wander in with flip flops and a tank unless you want to stick out. Beautiful shelving all over the bar outfitted with whiskey, scotch, bourbon, brandy, etc... Their drink menu is so thick it must weigh at least 2 pounds. Free tastings and paid classes happen regularly so make sure to get on the mailing list. Cocktails are on the pricey side but totally worth it. Quick stroll to the freedom tower if youre feeling patriotic after.

    The atmosphere is upscale--specifically for discerning tastes and palates. The management works to have the best educated, most discerning bar and wait staff. The bus boys are more knowledgeable about whiskey and bourbon than 99% of the bartenders I have ever met. Truly a higher class experience for the connoisseur.

    Had a terrific experience here with my partner and close friends. It was everything I pictured it to be and then some. Definitely a scotch/whiskey aficionados dream; between the decor, music and hundreds of bottles lining the walls. I went with the 18 & gorgeous flight, which was an excellent combination of fruity, vanilla, smokey and other rich flavors. This place is a must for any scotch/whiskey drinker. You will not be disappointed! They also have wonderful cocktails, like the Tori Tonic, and small plates too.

    The selection is extremely varied but I do wish there was a wider variety of maltadvocate high-rated options and better descriptions on the menu.On my first visit the server had great suggestions but on the second visit a different server was completely useless. I expect a person selling a glasses between $15 and $1100 would have their knowledge and suggestions on lock.Docked the star because our last server stared blankly instead of getting an expert (assuming he didnt know how to guide my choices) when I expected him to know a great deal about bourbon.

    Elegant and upscale setting is a great spot to take a whiskey/scotch lover. They have the best selection I have seen in the city. Pricey, but their knowledge of the spirits they carry is what you would hope for in a spot like this.

    Cost of the liquor can vary widely, as there is a great selection of brandies, rums, scotches and other liquors. in addition, the kitchen cooks up some great appys and it is all miked together with a great ambiance and comfortable surroundings. occasionally, they dont adjust the music volume to meet the crowds, but the overall service is great and the very knowledgable waitstaff makes learning about new things to try very approachable. the tasting policy is also very nice and keeps you from guessing at what you are ordering.

    Its like Beauty and the Beast has a night with James Bond. It truly is a library full of beautiful bottles of alcohol (which are not limited to Brandy). This is my friends go-to spot for a classy evening, and Im surprised he doesnt bring every date here. As a single woman, I would be impressed to spend an evening sipping whiskey on one of the couches, although twice Ive been here and sat at the bar and thats probably the best spot in the house. The first time I visited, they had a brioche with a dipping sauce that was kill-your-firstborn good, but subsequently they got rid of it (cant imagine why); however, it looks like they still have a nice selection of apps and sweet things to choose from.I am not an aficionado of whiskeys or brandy or the like, but I like to be educated--and this is the kind of place where the aficiondos can woo away.

    Very cool, sexy lounge. Feels like you’d be able to smoke a cigar and play cards or get into some trouble. You’re surrounded by shelves upon shelves of top shelf liquor accessible with a sliding ladder giving you the library feeling especially as you read a novel of extensive liquor offerings. Ask for Tomo as your server - super knowledgeable and hospitable!

Located around the corner from the Franklin St exit of the subway it is very accessable. The atmosphere is relaxed and enjoyable. Id recommend this to anyone looking to have a calm but fun evening.

    Bring a fan of peaty whiskey, Brandy library is perfect with a whiskey selection as long as a book. The atmosphere is customized towards great whiskey consumption - leather chairs, darkish lights and bottles surrounding you. They have a taster for peaty whiskies, which i think is one of the best way to spend an evening with a friend visiting from out of town.

    The Brandy Library is worth the effort if you are a drinker of spirits. The name is a bit of a misnomer because the 1,600 bottles of spirits include all kinds. It seemed like most of the bottles lining the walls are mostly Scotch whiskys. It took me a long time to order, but eventually found an Elijah Craig barrel proof that was the Whisky Advocates 2017 Whisky of the Year that was a fair price. This led to several others that are just not easy to find. They have glass prices for every budget, presumably, including ones for the 1%. The bartenders here are quite helpful and friendly. Ive had too many beef sliders in my day, and the ones here are as good as any.

This time, everything was perfect. The service, the drinks and the surprise treat for my birthday. Luke, our server, was a superstar! He was super sweet. We liked him so much we asked for a selfie! And the resident cigar expert, Hetan (I hope I spelled your name correctly) was an absolute pleasure! But it feels better to get a etl and w12 pour for under 60 than a year ago when you were paying that much for a tier below...

    Stupendously posh, with an unparalleled library of whiskey, tequila, rum and other spirits. The servers are knowledgeable with the product on offer and can provide good recommendations for the brave explorers. Tasting flights are on offer, and feature some rare and unique spirits. The big downside is price. Whiskeys are marked up 20% above what most other establishments would charge. For example an Ardbeg An Oa is $18 a pour vs the $14 youll find elsewhere (already quite marked up over the $70/bottle MSRP). Cocktails are similarly overpriced ranging from 18 to 22+ dollars, which could be ok if they competed on quality. Sadly youll get a much better cocktail at Dead Rabbit, or even Pouring ribbons for $6-$10 less. All in all, a wonderful venue, very suitable for being seen and impressing with your wallet.

    I went to Brandy Library for the first time on a date and was pleasantly surprised by their spirit selection. The service was impeccable, and Ive never had a server so knowledgeable about spirits. The vast array of spirits and the detailed knowledge of my server, a Japanese lady, was first-class. Their cocktail menu is extensive, which I found odd since their forte seems to be their spirit selection. I will happily come back for their service alone, next time as a student.
