    Went there on a Friday evening for a quick bite. Quiet and just what we needed. Staff were friendly and professional. Service was quick. We ordered a draft beer and a burger with fries. The wagyu burger was really good. The cooked, caramelised onion was definitely French, but I didn’t quite like it. Music and other customers weren’t loud. So we liked that a lot. Would definitely recommend this place.

    Perfect for my breakfast this morning! Just steps away from my hotel, surprisingly uncrowded. Staff was pleasant and service was quick. All menu choices for breakfast were appealing but I chose healthy and stuck with bacon and eggs. Potatoes were yummy and just the right size! Most important? Coffee was great!

The dimly lit, music-filled ambiance creates a warm and inviting atmosphere for a delightful dining experience and the attentive and friendly staff add to the welcoming environment.We started with the cheese puff gougeres, which were warm and cheesy, leaving you craving for more - do not skip!The escargots, prepared Burgundy style, are a true standout with their perfect blend of garlic butter and fresh parsley.The steak tartare is a work of art, perfectly seasoned with capers, cornichons, shallots, Dijon mustard, chives, and a touch of Tabasco. The quality of the meat shines through in this standout dish.For a refreshing option, the spinach and avocado salad is a harmonious blend of vibrant greens and creamy avocado.Definitely recommend the cognac wagyu burger - absolutely perfect, and the spicy rigatoni was cooked to al dente perfection.The excellent service and cozy ambiance truly elevate the dining experience.     The regular dinner and the weekend brunch are both excellent! Best chicken and waffles I’ve ever had in my life (at a French restaurant of all places)! The burger is delicious as well, and the tuna tartare appetizer is mouth-watering. Seriously just go check this place out. For a very modest price, this is some of the best bang-for-buck I’ve had in NYC!

    This was a fabulous little bit of Paris in NYC. The ambiance was reminiscent of a Parisian bistro. The waitstaff were attentive. The food was delicious. Highly recommend the steak tartare, one of best I have ever had. So much flavor. It paired perfectly with cheese puffs gougeres. And for dessert a floating cloud of bliss. Will definitely be back each time I visit!!

    Came in and instantly became in love with the place. I was served by these 2 beautiful girls, Valentina and Ana. They are the sweetest people ever, they were patient when I was confused with the menu and helped me out through out the entire way. Definitely coming back, I hope to see them again. Felt like I made 2 new friends!!!

    Had an amazing lunch celebrating a friends birthday. The food was delicious! Kelvin, our server, was attentive, friendly and thoughtful. He made her birthday lunch special by sending us extra dessert. Will definitely return again.

    Absolutely Amazing! My service was great and I was able to get a table on a busy night from Valentina who was wonderful and accommodating. I had the spinach and avocado salad which is by far the best salad in New York.

    This is such a sweet spot for breakfast. It feels a world away from midtown with its French menu and decor. The service is above and beyond, and I’ve got to shout out Kelvin for being so kind and attentive when I drop by. It’s hard work being a waiter and he makes it look effortless. And breakfast is just perfect. Strongly recommend a visit.

    I came in here to have a quick business meeting early evening. We sat by the bar and we just had two drinks. The place inside is nice and reminded me of the old good NY bars. We met Dino at the bar who was great! Very attentive, knowledgeable and social. We didn’t try the food so I cannot express my opinion about this. Also hostesses need to be a little more smiley.

    Everything was excellent, The execution in the kitchen couldn’t have been any better . It was a busy brunch but everything came out perfect, Our server Cesar was very attentive even thought he had multiple tables come at once. Very good job cognac!!!!! And props to the servers.

    I dont usually leave reviews, but looking at the rating of Brasserie Cognac, I feel its too low.Went here two times for breakfast, the quality of food was good and the service was quick. Pricing is also adequate for the area. Interior looks very neat.

    10/10 experience! I stayed at the hotel, and both the restaurant and hotel had spectacular service! Miriam, Milko and MD had outstanding customer service. Super attentive, friendly, and detail oriented. Im sure there are better restaurants in the city, but this restaurant has had the best service I have received thus far. For that, I will definitely be back! Also- their cocktails are incredible!!

    I was a lone diner and Cesar was my server for the night. He was warm, friendly and checked on me throughout my dining experience. I had the strawberry basil martini which was delicious and the tuna salad that was both wholesome and very filling.

    Amazing atmosphere as soon as you arrive the hostess Valentina happily greets you and offered us the best seating available, the music and service is great. We were seated and promptly had our drink/food order taken. Once our food arrived it was delicious and elegantly plated to perfection. Our server would check to see if we had additional needs. Once we finished our meal experience we then had lattes with our desserts. We will definitely return with our family and friends.

    First of all, its predecessor, Lexington Brass, was one of my favorite restaurants in New York City so the bar (pardon the pun) has been set very high. I have to admit, Brass Cognac definitely hits the mark. The food is very good. If you like steak tartare, you will love it here. The service is also very good - attentive without being overbearing. A great place to eat if you are on your own. Just cozy up to the bar and you will make friends in no time. It’s attached to the Hotel 48Lex so on my last visit, I met some very nice folks from Tennessee who were visiting New York to do some college campus visits with their son.In all honesty, this place should be busier. Given its location, quality of food and service, I would suggest you give it a try if you are in the neighborhood.

    We decided on a whim to have dinner and I feel so lucky that we chose this lovely place! Our server Cesar was attentive without being obtrusive and the food was simply amazing! My daughter ordered the hamburger and I ordered the beef bourguignon. Highly recommend stopping here and trying them!

    Im in New York City for the DCAT WEEK and visited Brasserie Congac ,again like last year great place ,food much Better ...we have the Mussels in wine and cream sauce... excellent..the best...and the Halibut on top of mushroom risotto.... fantastic.But also great to see Dino behind the bar with a great smile and a warm welcome ,took care of us with Edgar our waiter who suggested a Great bottle of wine with our Dinner.We do not have these in Pittsburgh, only in New York.Bravo 10

    On the way somewhere else but was drawn in by warm vibe from the window. Only tip would be to add some custom mocktails to the menu because it’s trending . Love how easy the menu is to read .     Our fav meal all week, we stayed close at the Intercontinental and came here for eve meal. We both had the chicken and was impressed with the size and taste. Wine and beer about standard price and service was good, it was full so maybe book - but only two of us so got lucky at about 7pm. Would defo recommend

    The Brasserie Cognac is always worth a visit. Its one of my favorite bars/restaurants every time Im in NYC. The food is excellent. Fresh, wonderfully prepared, served with love. No matter whether its fish, meat or vegetarian - it all tastes delicious. The prices are absolutely fair and the price-performance ratio is right. The Cognac wouldnt be the Cognac without Dino. I have rarely seen such an attentive bartender. Friendly, warm, funny - exactly what you want to experience an unforgettable evening. Even as a woman you can easily visit the Cognac alone. For me one of the top locations in NYC. Thank you for all the unforgettable evenings.
