Maybe the best burger in the city right now! Great spot to impress a date (who loves a good burger, interesting cocktails and a vibe)We also loved the Brussel sprouts with pumpkin seed tahini and their chicken schnitzel. Definitely will be back soon for that burger!

Brindle room is back baby!! They had one of the best steaks in the city and that has not changed. Forgive my poor quality photo, I just couldn’t keep my hands off the plate long enough for a better pic.Love the new decor, love the new staff, love the vibe. What are you waiting for?

  • Review 3 (2024-11-19 - Rating: 5)

I went here last weekend and I had such a nice time with my husband. I got the infused cocktails and I love the champagne drinks. They were so delicious. I ended up getting the salmon because Im kosher and it was so delightful. I love the music they were playing was just overall really nice night.

  • Review 4 (2023-10-11 - Rating: 5)

Hands down some of the best food I’ve had in a while!! The steak was so juicy and flavorful I could’ve eaten like five of them!! Truly the food did not disappoint at all so kudos to the chef 🙌🏻🙌🏻It’s such a cute place I highly recommend coming to grab a bite and some drinks to catch up with friends

  • Review 5 (2023-07-22 - Rating: 5)

There is a lot to be said for a well curated menu, a good atmosphere, a chef and owner who welcomes you to dine, and quality atmosphere and ingredients. This feels like a right proper bistro, and if I lived in the neighborhood I would absolutely make it a regular visit.

  • Review 6 (2024-11-20 - Rating: 5)

Brindle room was fantastic, I’ll definitely be back soon. The burger is highly recommended and it came out great! Atmosphere was super fun as well.

  • Review 7 (2024-11-10 - Rating: 5)

LOVE this place!! Amazing burger and steak frites (best fries in the city -my friend campbell) atmosphere was fun and lovely. A playlist that puts all of your aspiring dj friends to shame, and amazing owners who treat their customers so well!!! Will absolutely be coming back for the incredible food drinks service and vibes!

  • Review 8 (2024-11-03 - Rating: 5)

Great place for a late night burger and beer! The staff was incredibly accommodating and the burger was delicous, even the veggie burger. Would recommend visiting with a group of friends

  • Review 9 (2024-11-09 - Rating: 5)

The quintessential East village spot. Great service, great music, and the burger feels like a warm hug from a old friend. Definitely get it with onions and bacon. 10/10

  • Review 11 (2020-02-04 - Rating: 4)

Let me start off by saying my Sebastians Steakhouse Burger was delicious. Its a very no frills burger but its got great flavor and crunch so if youre looking for a place with a great burger Id recommend it. I also had the baked cauliflower mac and cheese which was tasty although my girlfriend had the salmon which she said was too salty. The one thing I wouldnt come here for is great service. The waiter/bartender was curt and too the point bordering on monosyllabic. Obviously with my rating that wasnt super important to me but it was worth mentioning.

  • Review 12 (2019-10-22 - Rating: 4)

Interesting to see all the raving reviews on their burger. My husband got it and considers it good, but it wasn’t the best burger he has had. It’s pretty pricey for a simple burger and fries are extra. I got the short rib which was good, but short ribs are difficult to mess up. Props for good mashed potatoes. Wings were pretty good. I’m rounding up to 4 stars for the last two items mentioned, but I’m not sure that I would seek out this place again.

  • Review 13 (2017-09-20 - Rating: 5)

This rating is based on my cheeseburger experience. Went on National Cheeseburger Day after reading about the hype. Loved the simplicity of the burger. It had a really great char on top and bottom, and the meat had a great flavor, and the caramelized onions melded well with the American cheese to not be overpowering. Highly recommend for burger purists. Good fries and hot sauce too...

  • Review 14 (2024-10-24 - Rating: 5)

“I dined here last night, and I must say it was the best burger I’ve ever had. The Mulholland Dr. cocktail was equally impressive, perfectly complementing the meal. I highly recommend this hidden gem for its exceptional food and drinks.”

  • Review 15 (2024-02-20 - Rating: 5)

This is the best Burger I have had. I come from California and we have quite the selection of great burgers but the blue cheese burger was perfectly season and and cooked! The fries were to dye for too. All and all a 5+ and the best burger in New York City! Plus M was fantastic with the service.

  • Review 16 (2020-03-05 - Rating: 4)

This is a small restaurant with simple decor. Be aware that it only takes cash when visiting. I went specifically for the burger. I always say the quality of the meat is the important thing and here its pretty high in quality. They serve it medium only which I enjoy. It was a tiny bit under seasoned but I can live with that. It offers a great bite that leaves you thinking about the food in your mouth as youre enjoying it. Every mouthful wanting another bite. The star is definitely the meat itself. The carmelized onions get lost with everything else almost. But a good burger no doubt. The regular fries are fantastic but where they lose a star is for their confit pork poutine. They make it in the lazy poutine fashion which is one of my pet peeves. Poutine is suppose to be cheese curds only. It cannot be just cheese, otherwise it solidifies and becomes a big ball of cheese in the dish. Pretty much like it did for me. Great at first but when i got to the end, what was either mozzarella or white cheddar was almost solid. Curds do not do this. If you say its poutine, it must be poutine. The gravy was weak too. I was tempted to give 3 stars but thats not an accurate representation of the restaurant.Final note. If youre going, you got to get the burger with bacon and regular fries. Ask for the garlic aioli and put a tiny bit of the hotsauce and a tiny bit of the ketchup in and add it to the burger. Youll thank me later.

  • Review 17 (2017-07-28 - Rating: 4)

Pretty place with tasty menu! You should try a doughnut here. I ordered a shrimp grit. It was so good (So staffed tho)!! Guess its a good place for brunch!!

  • Review 18 (2024-11-21 - Rating: 5)

I recently had the pleasure of dining at the Brindle Room in New York, and it was an exceptional experience from start to finish. The service was truly outstanding, with the owner and staff demonstrating remarkable attentiveness and genuine warmth throughout our visit. We started with the jambalaya appetizer, which was a delightful blend of flavors and spices, setting the tone for the rest of the meal. The schnitzel was perfectly crispy on the outside and tender on the inside, a true testament to the chef’s skill. The steak frites were cooked to perfection, with the steak being juicy and the fries delightfully crisp. To round off the meal, we indulged in the key lime pie, which was the perfect balance of tart and sweet. The old fashions were expertly crafted, adding a classic touch to our dining experience.Overall, the Brindle Room offers not just a meal, but a memorable dining experience with top-notch service and delicious food. Highly recommended when in NYC!

  • Review 19 (2024-04-15 - Rating: 5)

Amazing appetizers and non-alcoholic cocktails (and beer). Portions are perfect.

  • Review 20 (2024-03-10 - Rating: 5)

Had dinner before a show and the burgers did not disappoint. Thick & juicy, but manageable to eat. The bacon wrapped dates were also fantastic.Reasonable prices and clean restrooms.

  • Review 21 (2024-11-03 - Rating: 5)

Very enjoyable meal with my friends. Great burger.

  • Review 22 (2024-11-22 - Rating: 5)

I don’t usually write reviews, but I feel compelled. My friend told me about this place and it was like so awesome. The vibe is super chill. I got this amazing champagne infusion that I really liked. I think it was called the lost highway. It was like champagne infusion with gin and lavender. It was awesome. My friend got the burger. She said she thought was the best burger in New York. I got the steak frites and it was cooked with this really awesome butter on top. I loved it highly recommend.

  • Review 23 (2022-08-24 - Rating: 5)

Awesome burger and fries. Really nice staff. Good drinks. Great dessert. Highly recommended!

  • Review 24 (2024-02-17 - Rating: 5)

We went with family to your old location preCovid and had the best burger meal ever! We came from northern Maine, a journey of 630 miles...but our family was local. We plan on coming again this summer again. Worth the trip!

  • Review 25 (2024-10-26 - Rating: 5)

Best burger in town Chef Jeremy and Shervin out did themselves!

  • Review 26 (2024-11-08 - Rating: 5)

Yo that mulholland drive cocktail was fire. So good with the burger.

  • Review 27 (2024-03-27 - Rating: 5)

Food was great. Dates and sprouts for starters. Burgers, truffle fries and steak for dinner. We all loved every bite. There were not many people there when we got there at 7:30. The service was fast and attentive. The restaurant holds maybe 50 and by the end it was 1/3 full. Still plenty of room. We went on a Tuesday night in early spring. We would highly recommend.

  • Review 28 (2024-11-28 - Rating: 5)

Came with my family last week honestly such a vibe I got a lot of the virgin drinks. I really liked them and that burger is top five.

  • Review 29 (2024-10-23 - Rating: 5)

I’ve been to Brindle room Before years ago and I just went again last week wow, it is so so beautiful. I had the champagne cocktails really delicious highly recommended it. The new renovation looks great!!

  • Review 30 (2024-11-15 - Rating: 5)

Quickly becoming my go to spot in the east village for a great well priced low key burger.I think this place recently had a facelift and a menu change because a month or two I walked by it noticed the new sign and decided to pop in for a quick burger.Since then I’ve stopped by a few times and had dinner with friends. I’ve had the burger a few times which I think is what they’re known for, it’s really good. Can’t speak highly enough of it. Also tried the spaghetti with meatballs which I thought was amazing usually restaurants don’t do that well in my experience but brindlerooms was so flavorful I really enjoyed it. The staff are also very nice and welcoming.

  • Review 31 (2022-12-19 - Rating: 4)

A sweet space. The new space is bigger than the last and it’s lost some of the cozier vibes, but it’s great to sit down and not need a reservation. The short rib was awesome! I loved the potatoes. The Burger is also a slam dunk, simple but delicious. OMG the Brussels sprouts!!! Get these if nothing else! The wait staff was a bit spotty, the hostess was very eager but kind enough. The waiter was attentive but gave us time to actually talk to each other even after the meal was finished. Overall an excellent lil spot.

  • Review 32 (2023-05-21 - Rating: 5)

Since they closed down because of Covid I have been traveling all over the city looking for a burger that matches the quality of The BrindleRoom and have come up short. I’m happy to hear that they are back and their food has not changed at all. The best burger in the city by far and the new place is amazing. Staff is super friendly, since I found out last week I have been there twice already.

  • Review 33 (2024-11-13 - Rating: 5)

I learned about this place via Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives. Guy Fieri loved it (Dynamite), but the added credibility on the show was that a respected burger authority said it was the best burger he ever had. That night I biked down there before closing time and immediately ordered the burger. I went in with the highest expectations and was still blown away. I truly cant remember ever having a superior burger, and I am now a regular. The owners are fantastic and the vibe is chill yet sophisticated, a tough feat to accomplish - perfect for Alphabet City. Highly recommend this East Village gem.

  • Review 34 (2019-01-08 - Rating: 5)

Insanely delicious burgers. I am mostly vegetarian, but make an exception a couple of times of year for this burger. Everyone I’ve taken here agree that it’s one of the best burgers they’ve ever eaten. The size is perfect for me; can’t eat a large portion of red meat anyway. I’m a French fry addict, so wish theirs was better - skinless, thinner, and crispier.

  • Review 35 (2024-10-05 - Rating: 5)

Have a delicious burger, but they are still closed. Hoping they reopen. Stopped by and read sign on door. Looks like they were hoping to complete renovations in the summer. Will stop by again when open.

  • Review 36 (2024-11-13 - Rating: 5)

If you like good music, good burgers, and good drinks then look no further ! I came and got a burger and a beer while listening to zeppelin watching football, name a better spot, I’ll wait .

  • Review 37 (2019-12-08 - Rating: 5)

Went on a Sunday night after not having much luck elsewhere, and saw this and gave it a go and wow!Super quick service and really friendly relaxed staff; went for the steakhouse burger and it was delicious!Absolutely melt in the mouth meat and simple, just a bit of cheese and caramelized onions, so so good! That and a side of fries and we were set. What an ace little find!

  • Review 38 (2024-11-18 - Rating: 5)

Good eats! Love the steak frites

  • Review 39 (2019-09-24 - Rating: 5)

Best burger so far in NY. Perfectly cooked and juicy. It’s a bit smaller but that makes you feel better about eating all your fries which are also great! The space is small, so a reservation isn’t a bad idea, but there’s also bar seating available if you want to try your luck. They are available on seamless and you can order food to go.

  • Review 40 (2017-11-11 - Rating: 5)

We were looking for a good burger and a friend said this was the best burger hes ever had. We acknowledged the hype and he made a reservation for 9pm. This place was 100% worth waiting for it. The burger was fantastic, its incredibly simple, but elegant at the same time. Very juicy and flavorful. I got mine with kale on the side b/c I was trying to have a little green on the plate, also phenomenal. Its a small place, but we fit in with a group of 6 pretty easily. Well worth it!

  • Review 41 (2019-08-16 - Rating: 5)

Awesome food! Super simple menu but everything is extremely well done. Maybe the best burger and French toast Ive ever had. The space itself is really nice but very small which I dont like but the food is so good I cant notice my elbows touching the guy at the other table.

  • Review 42 (2024-11-07 - Rating: 5)

Easily the best burger in NYC. Also, get the fried shiitake mushrooms. Great atmosphere and vibe; awesome people.

  • Review 43 (2023-03-08 - Rating: 5)

What a great first experience! Small focused menu. Perfect execution. Great, friendly service. We will be back regularly! Thank you.

  • Review 44 (2015-11-23 - Rating: 5)

The Brindle Room came highly recommended by my sister and her husband - they told me that they had the best burger theyve ever had here (their previous best burger choice was at burger & barrel), so I had to try it out myself (came with our mom who was visiting us in NYC)!This place is really small, so remember to make reservations ahead of time. Its so cozy that its pretty hard to get into your seats as there isnt much space between tables haha. Once we got settled in, we ordered 3 Sebastians Steakhouse Burgers to share, fried calamari, and a warm spinach salad. The burgers are pretty damn amazing. Simple, but amazing. Its just a burger with caramelized onions and american cheese. They suggest cooking it medium, which was actually perfect. The patty had a great crust, but still juicy on the inside. Buns were toasted just enough to have a slight crunch. The fries that came with it were awesome too - super piping hot fresh with crispy exterior and fluffy potato on the inside. Come here to have a great no frill burger, they really pay attention to the details of how everything is cooked, and to presenting the burger in its most simple yet original form!!!Calamari was also deliciously fried (not overly heavy/oily, or coated; warm spinach salad was topped with some deep fried pork belly, yum! Ill probably be visiting again real soon :)

  • Review 45 (2017-06-20 - Rating: 4)

One of the best burgers Ive ever had. Only thing is the size of it: could be a little bigger :). The fries are the best I ever had!!! Definitely recommend this place! Dont expect a fancy restaurant: casual eating on wooden furniture.

  • Review 46 (2019-01-24 - Rating: 5)

If you want one of the best burgers in New York for a reasonable price, than you have the right place. Along with being delicious, the service was excellent and quick and the dining area was clean and cozy. Also, its in a great location with many bars, clubs, and live event venues nearby so its the perfect spot for before or after a night out with friends.

  • Review 47 (2018-05-13 - Rating: 4)

Food: Good, the Warm Brie was everything! Hamburger was the reason I came but a little to salty for me.Service: Excellent, everyone were professional and the place is quite small but cozy.Overall: Solid, would definitely return and recommend to others looking for a quick good bite. Drink options limited to beer and wine.

  • Review 48 (2017-06-17 - Rating: 5)

A true hole in the wall and a real hidden gem. I loved this place a lot from the food to the atmosphere. I ordered the steakhouse burger, which came with fries for $17. It was very tasty and good. Up there with minetta burger and Ive eaten at a lot of burger joints. The fries are amazing as well. Highly recommend it!

  • Review 49 (2018-01-05 - Rating: 4)

Its a nice cozy place. They have coat check which is convenient due to the fact I visited during winter. The menu is limited but good. I recommend the Burger, its the best burger for sure and Alfredo Pasta. The pasta is a little spicy but great with shrimp.

  • Review 50 (2018-07-03 - Rating: 5)

This burger basically takes the cake on delicious over the top burgers. it is super simple and the fries are perfectly done. overheard some dude ask, and when they drop the fries can you ask them to leave them down longer, whats with white folks being so difficult. the customer is never right. about anything.

  • Review 51 (2017-06-13 - Rating: 5)

Oh man. That burger.. on par with Chicagos Owen and Engine, with a very very similar flavor profile: likely the result of the perfectly aged beef and great cheese. My only complaint is the price to volume ratio. But the price:flavor ratio is excellent, considering this is dry aged steak from a reputable steak house theyre grinding up and serving here.

  • Review 52 (2017-02-23 - Rating: 4)

Oh I just love Brindle Room! Weve been here many times for brunch and dinner. While the menu isnt extensive, the food is awesome and the people who work at Brindle Room are too. Some of our favorites include the short rib pasta, the shrimp scampi appetizer, the hamburger, the smoked salmon dip, the potato chip frittata, and the salad. I realize thats basically everything but it is true - all of their food is SO GOOD. I kinda regret writing this yelp review because I dont want others to find this gem.

  • Review 53 (2024-01-06 - Rating: 5)

Incredible service and delicious food! I would 10/10 recommend. Their espresso martini is delicious and the vibe is perfect for a date or friends going out! If you’re there ask for Emily Mack! She’s amazing!

  • Review 54 (2022-11-13 - Rating: 5)

Rigatoni and meatballs were great! Went in for the Bolognese tonight but opted for the meatball special. Will be happy to come back and try their Bolognese as well.Burgers are great of course.

  • Review 55 (2017-07-04 - Rating: 5)

Like many have mentioned before, the burger is that good. The duck poutine is also great. The restaurant has a small, cozy environment. The wait staff is very friendly and attentive. Make sure you check out this hidden gem.

  • Review 56 (2016-06-20 - Rating: 5)

So delicious food and excellent service. We got 3 tasty meals and great beer as well. The burger was so delicious! I would almost say the best burger I have ever had!

  • Review 57 (2019-08-25 - Rating: 4)

I came around 9pm on a Saturday night with a 10+ crowd, so knowing it was a small/tight space, no stars off for a bit of slow service. We had some cauliflower mac n cheese, which was different and tasty, due to the unique mixture of cheese.Wasnt a fan of the poutine, but its not my jam anyway.Everyone that had a burger raved, which is to be expected, given its claim to fame. However, the star of the night was the veggie burger. Im an unapologetic meat eater, but Id eaten a lot of meat in the previous week. And in my tipsy state, I decided a nice portabello mushroom burger was an ok option. I was dead wrong. There was an actual patty and it was juicy. Admittedly, I was tipsy, but the flavor was unmistakable. I will go back for another soon.

  • Review 58 (2017-03-21 - Rating: 5)

Great environment and the food was delicious! You can make reservations via OpenTable which is very helpful. I went for brunch and everything was delicious - I recommend the Shrimp & Grits! Caramel donut was the best of the lot. Small place but worth going to, Id come back in a heartbeat!

  • Review 59 (2017-08-20 - Rating: 5)

I liked the burger more than I liked the donuts, and I liked the regular fries more than I liked the Italian fries. It was all quite delicious, to be honest. Would gladly return.

  • Review 60 (2019-02-28 - Rating: 5)

Despite unavoidable things that happened causing a short 30 min delay, we really enjoyed brindle room and hope to return soon. It was delicious and me and my friends enjoyed ourselves ! We ordered the famous steakhouse burger and it was great !

  • Review 61 (2024-10-17 - Rating: 5)

Beautiful service, Great lighting and atmosphere and the burger was delicious and the perfect size.

  • Review 62 (2016-06-17 - Rating: 4)

Small space with some good food. Went there for the burger which was great if a bit on the small side given the price. Guess it was more about quality than size. Good fries and beer. Altogether it was a nice experience for a quick bite.

  • Review 63 (2022-08-06 - Rating: 5)

This may be the best burger and hand cut fries in NYC. Stellar kale salad as well. Hats off to the chef.

  • Review 64 (2018-12-06 - Rating: 5)

Steak TartareUnfortunately for Brindle Room, we still have the insanely delicious tartare from Post Office fresh on our minds. This tartare wasn’t terrible, but it’s nowhere near amazing.Baked OystersUy. We love us some baked oysters, but these were a mess. A soupy mixture of creamy leeks impossibly drowned one of the biggest oysters I’ve ever seen. We couldn’t even finish.Moules FritesIf mussels are going to be one of the main attractions on your menu, which they are here at Brindle Room, there are a couple of logical things that should also come with them. One being bread, obviously. If you’re serving a big pot of mussels in a spicy broth without bread, that’s just poor attention to detail. Would you serve a burger without fries? Negative. Also, shellfish forks. The only forks they had were giant ones, which made in next to impossible to free the little mussels with a utensil. We were forced to use our hands, or another empty mussel shell.Fried ChickenIf you’re putting fried chicken on a menu in NYC, you best not just be tossing a couple pieces of bird in the fryer and serving it on a plate with mash. Don’t be fooled by the huge portion, there’s nothing to see here.Crispy Seared SalmonApparently the chef was concentrating way too hard on making sure the skin on the salmon was perfectly crispy, because he forgot to cook the rest of the fish through. Rare is not how salmon should be served in a restaurant unless otherwise noted. While the fish was awful, the red quinoa and Israeli couscous it was served over was excellent. More of that please.Seared Duck BreastRare, excessively thick slices of duck breast a top of cumin flavored kale and carrots. Vomit. We left this entire dish on the table. It was comically terrible.Steakhouse Burger & FriesEnding on a high note. The burger is damn good, as are the thick cut fries. It’s a slightly greasy griddle burger the size of a hockey puck, cooked perfectly medium rare with a soft toasted potato bun, cheese and sautéed onions. If I didn’t feel so bad about how this review went, I’d order it for delivery on the regular.

  • Review 65 (2023-03-20 - Rating: 5)

Amazing food!!! The mash, the Brussel sprouts, fries, and steak!! I was here a few days ago with my family but I definitely will be going back 🙂🙂😁😁 service is great too.

  • Review 66 (2018-12-13 - Rating: 5)

Ok, this is one of THE best restaurants in Manhattan. The steakhouse burger here is to die for, but they have other amazing dishes like mussels and fries as well. Ive tried a fair number of burger places in New York, and this by far stands above the rest. Plus the fries with the housemade hot sauce is the perfect complement. Tip: of youve already tried the burger and want to take it to the next level, you can get a double patty for an extra $12 (expensive I know, but try the meat and ot makes you think twice)

  • Review 67 (2019-03-31 - Rating: 5)

This is where I send people if they want to get a burger. Ive been here so many times and the quality of food and level of service has remained consistently high. Dont worry, as the burger is accompanied by fries that are as equally good. I highly recommend a side of mayo/aioli for the fries, btw.

  • Review 68 (2017-03-19 - Rating: 5)

Great food and an cozy yet lively atmosphere. Only seats about 30 or some people, so every order gets the chefs full attention. I tried the burger (amazing), my mom had the scallops and butternut squash (amazing), and my sister went with the blueplate sliced prime rib special (also on point). Will absolutely be back again!Sorry, the pictures kinda suck. Was too excited to get eating!

Great neighborhood spot for a drink and a burger

  • Review 70 (2023-01-30 - Rating: 5)

The burger is the best Ive ever had. But the brussel sprouts are possibly the best thing Ive ever eaten anywhere. Wait staff was so warm and enjoyable.

  • Review 71 (2024-06-27 - Rating: 5)

Amazing restaurant! I come here every Saturday! Chef is super chill and one of the waiters is just super awesome forgot his name but he’s just on point every time I come him. The moment he sees me he put the perseco to chill! Amazing service when he’s there

  • Review 72 (2019-01-13 - Rating: 5)

Quite possibly the best burger I’ve ever had. I’ve returned a couple of times and never been disappointed. Delicious food and polite staff all at a reasonable price. I can’t recommend this enough.

There are good burgers and then there is the brindle rooms famous hamburger. A meaty juicy tender behemoth which just screams EAT ME. This is amongst the best burgers in the city. However there is a dish that has sadly left this place for understandable reasons. The duck poutine. I went to Quebec expecting to find a poutine this good and I came back disappointed. This dish beats the poutines I could find in Montréal and Québec city. I hope they put this dish back in soon because it was amazing

Excellent dry aged burger, its definitely the reason to come here!

Layout/atmosphere*Seven tables and bar area in back; side room with nine additional tables; covered outdoor dining structure in streetService*FriendlyFood/drink*Sebastian’s Steakhouse Burger (served medium with American cheese & caramelized onions) with french fries - good; smaller portion; not “best burger” category but nothing bad about the burger overall; the fries were good, salted; hot sauce accompaniment was solid

  • Review 76 (2018-09-29 - Rating: 5)

Brindle Room makes one of the best cheeseburgers in NYC. If youre an enthusiast I highly recommend you stop in. Fries are exceptional too. Its a smaller place and tends to get busy so you should definitely call ahead and get a reservation.

  • Review 77 (2017-05-08 - Rating: 5)

The most incredible burger I have ever had!

  • Review 78 (2018-01-02 - Rating: 5)

The brindle room is a constant pleasure to visit. Their burger is the best in the city medium rare and it never disappoints. Other top mentions are the poutine and smoked wings. As long as The Brindle Room exists I will continue to be a customer.

  • Review 80 (2019-11-17 - Rating: 5)

One of the best burgers in NYC. I also like to order the Chicken wings and shrimp. There’s a good beer selection and they serve you cans from the bar. Cash only.

  • Review 81 (2013-08-09 - Rating: 4)

Great local spot with good food. The burger is overhyped but still delicious. Keep a lookout for their mussel frites which are a heaping portion and are quite tasty.

  • Review 82 (2019-10-15 - Rating: 5)

  • Review 83 (2017-08-22 - Rating: 5)

  • Review 85 (2022-10-12 - Rating: 4)

Came for the burger...it was solid but nothing to write home about, especially at the price point. Service and fries were good though.

Best burger Ive had so far!! Great experience, with a very nice ambiance, and very nice waiters and waitress. :)

  • Review 97 (2017-11-10 - Rating: 5)

I am fairly, but not overly, discerning of cheeseburgers and this pretty much lived up to the hype. Look, no cheeseburger is really changing your life. So let’s stop pretending even the most tender, perfectly charred, cheesy and slightly greasy burger with the right bread to meat ratio is going to be a divine experience. That said, the cheeseburger is all of the above and worth a trip. It’s got to be on every burger connoisseurs’ must try list. The fries are really good too, perfect with the spicy ketchup.

  • Review 98 (2019-09-22 - Rating: 5)

One of the best burgers in NYC. Their smoked wings are also great. Friendly service!

  • Review 105 (2016-10-26 - Rating: 4)

  • Review 111 (2019-12-19 - Rating: 4)

Get the beef burger and chili fries! The veggie burger is okay but I wasn’t a huge fan of the texture and flavor.

  • Review 113 (2017-11-06 - Rating: 5)

YES YES YES this burger was everything I hoped it would be and more. I went on a quiet lunch (Wednesday) with a beloved friend and we had two burgers and were perfectly pleased.I asked for a salad instead of fries and they brought my the most delightful little kale salad Ive had in recent memory!!Also, very happy to see theyre not doing the Sir Kensington catsup because its great sauce but terrible catsup. Back to Heinz. See you soon Brindle Room!

  • Review 125 (2023-10-12 - Rating: 5)

This is without a doubt the best thing I have had on my trip to New York. The burger it so juicy and tender sealed in by a light crisp edged around the patty. The level of execution of making something we have experienced countless times is so wonderful. Their fries are hand cut and fried up perfectly. This meal has made a mark on my culinary travels and I wish I didnt live 2000 miles away from here to go back and take people here more often

  • Review 126 (2024-11-03 - Rating: 5)

    Excellent burger.

  • Review 131 (2023-10-14 - Rating: 5)

Every time I’ve been to NYC I’ve made a stop to Brindle Room for the burger and it has never disappointed. It’s the best burger in the world and I would eat it weekly if I lived in town. What’s great is that other items on the menu are also fantastic, such as the salmon and the chickpeas.

  • Review 132 (2023-10-11 - Rating: 5)

The food was phenomenal. I had the turkey burger (the special) and my husband had Sebastians Steakhouse Burger. Both were incredible. We were told by a friend that we should try Brindle Room. The only disappointment is that we leave to go back home tomorrow and cant return before we head back. Any time we are in New York, itll be a must.

  • Review 138 (2024-02-02 - Rating: 5)

Theres nothing like a juicy burger that makes you want to talk to yourself. The Brindle Room burger was on my top five list before closing during the pandemic. They reopened recently a few blocks from the old location in Alphabet City. @brindleroom📍647 E 11th St, ManhattanThe burger is named Sébastian Steak House Burger, which pays homeage to their steakhouse in Jersey. The burger is as outstanding as I recall it from 3 or 4 years backThe quality of the meat js just great. Its a blend of25 % AGED PRIME65 % FRESH MEAT10 % SUETSuet is a crumbly fat around the kidney of the cow.The patty has a 70/30 fat ratio, seasoned and weighted down to get a nice sear.Topped with American cheese, carmelized onions placed on a plain white bun served at medium temp.Wow, is all I can say. I missed this burger! Just pure tenderness and depth of flavor from the fat and great blend of meat. The carmelized onions give the right amount extra flavor without taking away from the flavor of the meat. The blue cheese burger uses the same meat and house made blend of blue cheese and applewood smoked bacon served with truffle parmesan fries.Wow.Get this if you love burgers. The staff js very cool.abd Chef/ Owner Jeremy is extremely hospitable.

  • Review 142 (2023-03-15 - Rating: 5)

So thrilled this place finally reopened after the pandemic. Everything about the experience is good--the space, the service, the location (including the new spot!) But the stand-out is absolutely the burger, classic in style, and done to perfection in every detail. The rest of the menu has always been very good too, in my experience.

Went there for a late lunch. Friendly atmosphere and decent food.

  • Review 160 (2023-05-08 - Rating: 5)

New location and was hoping food quality hadnt changed, it has not. Sit at the bar and watch the kitchen. These are serious cooks who have clearly worked in larger, more formal kitchens, they are making simple food with technique. Servers are professional and friendly, with just enough edge to let the tourists and blonde brunchmonkeys know whats up, and to recognize a regular within a few visits.. I dont have to mention the burger etc because its well known these guys are executing the food at a high level and with honestly the most approachable prices in the neighborhood. Thank you Brindle room for being the neighborhood joint that overdelivers consistently.

    Amazing steak and burgers!

  • Review 165 (2022-11-19 - Rating: 5)

BEST BURGER IN NYC: Always has been, always will be.When the original location closed amid the COVID19 pandemic, the hunt was on for anything that would even come close to hitting the spot the way the Brindle Room burger does. Absolutely nothing else did the trick, so much so that on opening day of Brindle Room 2.0, my husband had literal tears in his eyes for his first bite! While the burger is the clear star of the show, the entire menu is exceptional. The food here really gives you a hug in this understated, casual-cool neighborhood spot. Give the steak tartare, spaghetti, and chicken wings a try as well. Finish your meal off with the pillowy chocolate mousse, and thank me later. Everything is packed with flavor, and served by wonderful staff who seem genuinely glad to be working at such a special spot. They now have a full cocktail bar, cozy booths, and more space than the first location. For many years to come, well continue making the trip down to East Village for our favorite burger. Congratulations to Jeremy and the team for keeping this legacy alive!
