Lovely Italian spot near Lincoln Center. Outdoor seating there is really nicely done. They have brunch and all day Italian menu on the weekend. I enjoyed my avocado toast with smoked salmon. Drinks were very tasty too.

Very fast paced restaurant, excellent before a show at lincoln center.I would say the vegetable sides that are on display at the antipasto bar was my favorite part. The veggie sides were so yummy....Great flavor, good portion sizes, and quick service.I ate the eggplant parmigian as entree which was superb. Good portion size and flavor on point. Service was alright. Price was a little high but i felt very satisfied with what i ate and what i paid at the end of everything. It was worth itI will be back, the food, quality of food and selection of options made this place a true 5 star experience.

We popped in on a recommendation of a friend. SUCH a win! Every staff member we encountered was cheerful, so happy to greet or serve us.Our darling waitstaff, Amanda, was undaunted by our many questions and enthusiastically recommended several things. She was spot on with each one.The portions were beyond our ability to finish. Pity. Desserts looked intriguing. My husband chose breaded chicken piccata…and still took nearly half in a carry out. My three veg choices from the antipasto bar were each standouts in their own right, marvelously conceived and perfectly cooked. I could not choose a favorite. What a great time. I will take this experience as a great New York meal.

People come to New York to try a slice of Pizza, I just came here and found my favourite slice of Lasagna! LOL! That was amazing, also we ordered Pepperoni Pizza and Bruschetta which we liked. It has a good atmosphere and the staff are nice.I hope to come back soon to New York and enjoy another night with my friends at Cafe Fiorello.

  • Review 5 (2024-10-17 - Rating: 4)

Very nice place. The foods are great. Very busy.. they do take a walk-in. But if you want a table, make sure to make a reservation.

  • Review 6 (2024-12-27 - Rating: 5)

Amazing food. Amazing atmosphere. Amazing service! I can’t say enough good things. We ate at the bar, and Diego was beyond awesome. Here with friends for a few days, and our first night’s dinner is going to be hard to top.

  • Review 7 (2024-04-08 - Rating: 5)

My second visit of Cafe Fiorello. Still, it was as good or even better than my last meal here.Their innovative open lasagne, featuring meatballs, ribs, and burrata cheese, was an absolute delight. The tomato sauce added a refreshing lightness to the dish, making it less dense and incredibly flavorful. The portion sizes were impressively generous, perfect for sharing with a group of friends. As for brunch, their French toast was a guilty pleasure like no other. The chocolate toast adorned with roasted walnuts, raisins, and fresh strawberries left me feeling completely satisfied. I can’t wait to revisit Cafe Fiorello whenever I’m in the vicinity of the Lincoln Center. Highly recommended for anyone seeking a delicious and fulfilling dining experience!

  • Review 8 (2024-12-18 - Rating: 5)

Its one of my favorite restaurants to dine at in NYC. Food is always delicious, top-notch staff. It is always an excellent experience and meal here. Great portions, antipasto, and pasta are delicious. Same with drinks and dessert. Thanks, Cafe Fiorello! Best, Kevin.

  • Review 9 (2024-12-06 - Rating: 5)

The Metropolitan Opera and Cafe Fiorello, an unbeatable combo. I have come here for decades before the opera. The quality of the food and service has never flagged. I love this place. The pizza alone is to die for. And the Osso Bucco and chicken piccata are great too. Plus a lovely wine selection. Great outdoor seating.

  • Review 10 (2023-12-17 - Rating: 5)

Love this place. Stopped by after a show at the met. Food was great. We ate at the bar. I really enjoyed it and the food was great, service was great and so was the atmosphere. I highly recommended it.Stopped by there a second time last night. Ambience and food were still good. We had a waiter, James, that was right out of a military movie. He was so tense I got nervous. It was all about what do you want, here it is. Absolutely no personality. I’m not always milking for an amazing bubbly waiter or waitress, but feeling like you’re in a boot camp isn’t pleasant. Just wanted to mention this. Happy dining!Stopped by for a quick drink and dinner tonight and ate at the bar. The bar tender June is great. Kudos for a job well done.Visited Cafe Fiorello again and was as pleased as I was on prior occasions. A great spot for lunch as well as dinner.

  • Review 11 (2024-06-16 - Rating: 5)

Wandered into this restaurant after seeing Uncle Vanya across the street. Our server was incredible and gave great recommendations. We ordered garlic bread(which had a delicious pesto butter on it), salad and Chicken Marsala that blew my mind. We finished off with cannolis that were not your typical cannoli they were almond crusted I think and soooo good! Absolutely love this place!

  • Review 12 (2024-11-17 - Rating: 5)

  • Review 13 (2024-12-29 - Rating: 4)

Visited Xmas Eve and the mgmt and staff handled the crowd very well. Decorative for Christmas and very cozy place, but busy. Food was generally on the good side, but not traditional in that bread and butter is charged extra.

  • Review 14 (2023-11-30 - Rating: 5)

Wow, what a delightful experience coupled with a fine dining environment. The service was great, they were consistent and had great recommendations. We started with the whole loaf bread with garlic spread and short rib meatballs, the sauce with the meatballs is fantastic and goes well with the bread. For cocktails we had espresso martinis and cherry manhattans (which may be my new favorite drink), they were well made and prompt. For entrees we had the osso bucco, filet of sole and ravioli, all were delicious. Dessert we had chocolate mousse and whipped cream which was huge and so light and fresh. The pistachio cannolis and affagado were impeccable. We really enjoyed this place and the atmosphere, it is by no means cheap, as it cost us $100 per person, but it was well worth it and we’ll definitely be back!

  • Review 15 (2024-11-10 - Rating: 5)

Great choice for dinner, large and tasty portions, fast and friendly service.

  • Review 16 (2024-08-09 - Rating: 5)

This place has that old New York charm (it’s been around for 50 years and is the real deal!) and felt like a treat. The service was fantastic and the food was perfection. We ordered tortellini, thin crust pizza (best thin crust I’ve had in NYC), cocktails, wine, and chocolate mousse. It all tasted divine and will definitely go back!

  • Review 17 (2023-09-05 - Rating: 4)

The rigatoni alla vodka and the branzino were absolutely delicious. Everything was fresh and high quality! We also got the pistachio cannolis which were amazing! I would go back again just for those. Our server was king and very efficient. It was a great experience.

  • Review 18 (2024-09-13 - Rating: 5)

I have visited Cafe Fiorello a couple of times, and both have been fantastic! My first visit was for dinner, and it was a great experience. A lovely couple who frequented the restaurant chatted with me telling me their favorites. I had the fried artichokes (after falling in love with them in Rome) and pepperoni pizza with hot honey. Both wonderful! So good in fact that I ordered the same when I returned.A lovely spot for lunch or dinner!

  • Review 19 (2023-06-08 - Rating: 5)

A fantastic restaurant! The lasagna was amazing. The pasta was fresh and had a light crisp. The bottom layer was brisket and it was tender and flavorful. The prime rib meat balls were also terrific. $50 for a monster plate of goodness.Would recommend!

  • Review 20 (2024-06-09 - Rating: 4)

Nice spot to grab a bite before going to lincoln ctr. Had the vealchop barolo but a very small portion. Also a bit fatty. The caprese salad app was great. Overall was ok.

  • Review 21 (2024-08-31 - Rating: 5)

Love Cafe Fiorello! New York institution. Located right across Lincoln center, so it’s a nice place to eat before show or have antipasto bar and drinks after show.Thin crust pizza is my favorite. Nice atmosphere and good food. Indoor and outdoor seating.

  • Review 22 (2023-06-17 - Rating: 5)

The food was delicious. The meatballs with an order of garlic bread filled me before my entrée! I will definitely come back for lunch again. Also, my server Jeff was awesome!

  • Review 23 (2023-09-04 - Rating: 4)

A lovely place with lovely food! The avocado toast has plenty of food with 3 entire dishes/sides in the whole thing. My friend said the Tony Bennett French toast was also amazing. I only wish they had more signature options. I like this place better than next door because its less crowded and they dont have the windows up in the outside so a breeze can go through. Our waitress, Jasmine, was very humorous and I enjoyed talking to her.

  • Review 24 (2022-04-22 - Rating: 5)

I am consistently impressed by Fiorello’s. Highly recommend stopping if you’re in the Lincoln Center area - excellent, attentive service and great food. Loved how spacious the outdoor seating area felt, particularly for a Manhattan restaurant. In terms of food, antipasti bar is always a great choice. Also, love the Prosciutto di Parma pizza. I haven’t tried any of their pastas yet but others that I’ve dined with have always been pleased with their choices.Old Fashioned is on the sweeter side with heavy notes of orange peel - great if you’re looking for a bourbon drink as we approach summer.

  • Review 25 (2024-12-16 - Rating: 5)

My friend and I come every year after the Nutcracker and it is always spectacular! We were nicely sat in the back corner room where there were not too many people. I really appreciated that. We had our usuals.. calamari, Caesar salad, Dover sole, chicken parm alla vodka, and a great bottle of red. The service was attentive and the food delicious. Thank you so much for always being good to your customers even when it is so busy.

  • Review 26 (2023-11-26 - Rating: 5)

I had really delicious, and a little spicy linguine con clams, Fiorellos Tartuffo, and wine. The food was really good and the linguine were cook as it supposed to be, like in Italy. The dessert was good as well. The service was attentive, and made with patience. Also, we received a thank you drink from them. Thank you!

  • Review 27 (2024-08-26 - Rating: 5)

It was my third time there. I love their lasagna.

  • Review 28 (2024-11-21 - Rating: 4)

Local NY institution across from Lincoln center. Great NY vibes, good Italian food. Service can be spotty. I think the waiter sized us up as not big tippers so he basically ignored us all night. Chicken parm is one of the house specials.

  • Review 29 (2023-09-24 - Rating: 5)

Always a lovely dining experience, with excellent service. Portions are generous to say the least. Service is always gracious, prompt, and attentive.Jacelly was beyond delightful, 🙏🏻.

Wonderful lunch and my portion served me for three separate meals. Great Sunday atmosphere. Waiters from all over the world. Nice greeting. Very busy. Nice big portions.

  • Review 31 (2023-07-16 - Rating: 4)

Very nice restaurant. Very crowded on the weekends they also have a huge outdoor dining area. I got the chicken parmigiana with pepperoni. It was surprisingly huge it covered the whole plate. It was also very delicious. I recommend this place.

  • Review 32 (2022-10-24 - Rating: 5)

Cafe Fiorello is a great Italian restaurant in front of the Lincoln Center. Me and my family have been loyal customers for years. The food is fantastic. The garlic bread is amazing and my all time favorite is the Fiorello Open Lasagna. Be aware, this dish has to be shared, it is huge. It will feed 2 people. The antipasto bar is famous and the deserts are really good. This top notch Italian restaurant should not be missed.

  • Review 33 (2024-03-27 - Rating: 5)

  • Review 35 (2022-09-06 - Rating: 5)

Cafe Fiorello never disappoints! This time I chose to come on a quiet day after the Labor Day weekend for lunch so there were only a few tables. The service was great as usual and the food was delicious. Amazing choices at the vegetable antipasto bar. I picked 5 for 31$ and the portion was big. My favorites were the fava bean salad, truffled potato gratin, stuffed peppers and ricotta balls. Loved it and totally recommend it.

  • Review 36 (2022-04-23 - Rating: 4)

Long-time standby cafe serving Lincoln Center crowds. Food is better than it used to be, with the antipasto platter our favorite thing. Between us we tried carrots, brussel sprouts, ricotta balls, eggplant caponata, sausage and much more. You can have 3 or 5 sides as an entree. Delicious garlic bread, strong and aromatic, perfect with the sauces. Yummy tiramisu and tartuffo for dessert. Super professional service that gets you in and out in time for your curtain. Fiorellos has totally glammed up the sidewalk shed and interior with flowers. Very pleasing.

  • Review 37 (2023-07-07 - Rating: 5)

First, and most importantly this review/rating is based solely on their Chicken Parm and the service as that’s the only thing we ordered so I can’t speak to other food.I had been told this serves the best chicken parm, and I must say… it’s really effin good. It’s a huge portions enough for 2 to split. The service was very friendly and the atmosphere was very cool. I will definitely be back.

I had a blast at this restaurant! The ambiance was lovely, the lights in the restaurant romantic and the music 🎶 ! Our waiter was so nice and personally made sure we had a good time, besides the delicious food he brought us. He gave us detailed explanation on the questions we asked about food and threw couple jokes, which was very, very nice! The food was absolutely delicious and fresh! I had Caprese salad with chicken, loved the olive oil. Beautifully decorated plate. Vanilla gelato was perfect end to a lovely dinner. Will be back again!

Yummy BEST PIZZA IN TOWN IF YOU LOVE SUPER THIN CRUST LIKE WE DO, GREAT MEATBALLS AND ONE OF THE BEST PASTA CARBONARA I HAVE HAD BECAUSE THE SAUCE IS VERY LIGHT WHICH I PREFER OVER THE THICKER ALFREDO TYPE SAUCES, DESSERTS ARE BIG ENOUGH FOR 2, SHE SAID THIS WAS THE BEST BURRATA STUFFED RAVIOLI SHE HAD EVER HAD. WE WENT BACK 5 DAYS LATER AND IT WAS ALL EQUALLY GOOD. IF YOU CANNOT GET A RESERVATION INSIDE, JUST GO THERE AND THERE ARE OFTEN TABLES INSIDE NOW THAT THE WEATHER HAS WARMED UP A BIT. Check out all of our reviews. If we do not like it we do no review it so all of the ones you see are places that are fantastic. Follow us if you like. We had over 7 million views in 2021 and we thank you for that. We dont get paid, we just love to eat. • Review 40 (2018-01-01 - Rating: 4)

A bustling restaurant right across street from Lincoln Center. Even though the place was crowded the night we went, service was good, friendly and attentive. Food came out quickly and was delish. We had an antipasti plate of asparagus, broccolini, and roasted mushrooms. Fantastic. My wife and I then shared a single plate of their short ribs lasagna. Served a bit nuevo style, with the lasagna noodles curled at the edges and cooked to a crunchy crisp. It was yummy! Even though we shared one plate, it was so huge my wife and I did not finish eating our halves and brought it home.Reservations are highly recommended, though you can sit and order food at the bar.

Was there yesterday for dinner. Our server Jose did an outstanding job and a super friendly interactions. Had the 5 antipasto then cáprese salad but the star was the Gorgonzola spread bread. Meal was delicious and at the end got some limoncello courtesy of Jose. This is the kind of server makes fiorello very especial to us and highly recommend this restaurant thanks Jose for your outstanding job.

Not so many vegan and gluten free options but I was able to find a salad I could eat. I got the quinoa and avocado salad and it was delicious . My friend got the marilena salad and really enjoyed it too. We set outside and it was nice to do “street watching “

  • Review 46 (2022-11-06 - Rating: 5)

Great Italian restaurant conveniently located near the Lincoln Center. Staff very attentive and friendly with quick service. It’s a little on the pricey side but on par with other Italian restaurants in the area. Shown in picture is a larger portion of the rigatoni vodka that was served during the NYC Marathon weekend.

  • Review 47 (2022-07-28 - Rating: 4)

Perfect location before/after show from Lincoln center. All staffs were very attentive and friendly (Huge ++), they have lots of varieties including gluten-free, vegetarian etc. we got the bottle of white wine, shared Fried calamari (very fresh), four season pizza (best) and the spaghetti short rib meatballs (good). I wish if they have more wine selection with different price range and their bread (we got presto garlic) was lack of flavor i had to ask for more olive oil lol

Nice Italian restaurant, I ordered the special of the day the mushroom risotto, very delicious. Rather loud company was sitting close to us, so it was not comfortable to talk

  • Review 50 (2024-11-30 - Rating: 5)

The chicken parm with pepperoni and vodka sauce is worth the hype. Super thin but good to split with one or two people if you add pasta or an appetizer.

Great Manhattan Restaurant steps away from Central Park and Lincoln center. Was in the mood for pizza which did not disappoint as well as the garlic bread and salads we had. Definitely coming back for the pastas and other plant based options available in this cool manhattan restaurant with indoor, outdoor seating as well as a cool bar!

  • Review 55 (2024-07-07 - Rating: 4)

The food was really good and the service was on point! They allowed us to bring our dog in since it wasnt that crowded

  • Review 56 (2024-06-25 - Rating: 5)

In the heart of Manhattan. Steps away from the Lincoln center and the Central park - you can have a casual quick bite or a dinner. Dine in or outside.I was there for a late dinner with my uncle. He opted for salmon bruschetta and i went with seafood scampi. While good - no doubt - but a bit spicy for me… lately i dont do well with spice… but it was excellent non-the-less.Obviously prices reflect location so there is not much on a menu you will find under 20$While we havent had it this time - but their thin crust pizza is something to try as well.

  • Review 57 (2024-06-16 - Rating: 5)

A long weekend in the city and had reservations to try a new-to -us downtown wine bar. For years Cafe Fiorello has been our stand-by, but this weekend was to be an adventure . As we walked to the elevator the Heavens Opened with torrential, relentless rain. Instead, and for the first time ever, we ordered Delivery from Cafe Fiorello!. You not only saved us, but delivered in 30 minutes a feast that both dazzled and delighted.. The addition of warm focaccia, and decadent chocolate cookies spoke Volumes about the care that went into this order. Thank you, and I’m amazed that I never tried Delivery from you before!!

Had a great dinner last night. We were walk ins and the host was very accommodating and said he’d have an outdoor table in 10/15 minutes. We waited less than 10 minutes and had a delicious meal. Top quality and delicious salmon, fettuccini bolognese was perfect. Looking forward to going back.

My husband and I stopped in Cafe Fiorello for drinks on a Thursday night and it was packed. It was the day after our wedding and we wanted to spoil ourselves by bar hopping. We were luckily able to find a spot at the bar and were able to still order our drinks in a timely manner. We had a few rounds here and at one point there was a server walking around with fresh baked cookies, giving them to guests for free. Not sure if thats a common thing here but it was a happy surprise to us!The atmosphere here is so adorable, sophisticated, and italian. Theres a cool raw bar in the front that my husband was eyeing up. Looks like well have to come back soon!Drinks were yummy and prices were fair for the area! I highly recommend this Cafe Fiorello.

I’ve dined here a few times over the years. Food is always good to excellent. Service is efficient though not overly friendly, the atmosphere is great. I love the bar atmosphere mixed with city dining. My only criticism is that they should put some bread on the table with olive oil. Hence, a 4 star vs 5.

This place has captured my heart – easily one of my top choices among New Yorks diverse culinary scene. From the moment you step in, the ambiance exudes warmth and charm. The culinary experience here is nothing short of exceptional, making it a cherished favorite of mine. The menu boasts a delightful array of options, but my personal highlights are the delectable meatballs. Moreover, the vegetable entrees are an absolute must-try.Beyond the tantalizing flavors, the attentive service and inviting atmosphere elevate the overall dining experience. Whether youre a local looking for a reliable go-to spot or a visitor seeking an authentic taste of New Yorks culinary delights, this restaurant consistently delivers on all fronts. A gem in the citys vibrant food scene that I cant recommend highly enough.

I like the rigatoni alla vodka -- it was delicious this time. Unfortunately a very large group of people (50+) showed up without warning and were waiting throughout the front of the restaurant impeding service. Normally I have a very nice experience. The lunch menu is a good value.

There is something magical about this restaurant, which is why, every single time we come to NYC throughout the year, we always have dinner here despite the thousands of other restaurants in NYC. We have tried them and always come back to Cafe Fiorello. Every time we arrive, we are welcomed by Said and Amine, the handsome, kind and warm hosts who always remember us and make us feel so special. In this often cold, cruel world we can always go to Fiorello and be cheered up by these brothers who have found a way to seat hordes of eager diners with such elegance and warmth. Then the food! The food NEVER disappoints. Not ever. This time we had such a lovely, conscientious server, Amanda. She took amazing care of us and we will ask for her again next time. Some of the dishes we order over and over: ravioli with burrata, the bass, exquisite quinoa with avocado, caprese salad, garlic bread, vegetables at the antipasti bar, pizza and the heavenly lemon pie that I dream about. The atmosphere is lively, joyful, and unlike anything we world travelors have experienced elsewhere.

Felt like I was back in Italy for this meal. The service was top notch, food was awesome, prices were fair for the servings and service.

  • Review 79 (2024-05-18 - Rating: 5)

I ate at the Vegetable Antipasto Bar. The selection is huge, and all dishes are tasty. My favorite is the Truffle Potato Pie. That is a meal in itself. The charge is only $25 for three selections. That is a bargain for the amount of food that they serve.

  • Review 80 (2021-01-18 - Rating: 4)

The pizza is good, but there is no solution to keep it warm. The plate is not warmed, so this is not working with outside tables. The terrasse is well set, no wind, good spacing between tables, good service.

  • Review 81 (2023-06-15 - Rating: 5)

Great food, friendly service, and exceptional cocktails. We were looking for a table for two to grab dinner before a show, and they were able to find us one in their outdoor seating (which was our preference). Food and drinks were quick and fantastic. I would go back in a heartbeat, though I’d probably book next time to avoid disappointment!

  • Review 86 (2023-12-19 - Rating: 5)

Came here for a quick meal without a reservation on a sunday and got seated quickly. Service was ok, food came out quickly and was pretty good. We got the ravioli w/alfredo and while it was heavy, the portion was perfect. We also got the vodka chicken parm which was good, but there are definitely better chicken parms midtown. For dessert we split the mousse (good, was very light) and the blueberry canoli’s (ok, fell apart)Would definitely come back, but try some other dishes

This place was AMAZING. For starters, they got us in without a reservation(even though we should have one). The food was off the charts. Highly recommend the garlic spread bread. The food came out in no time. I got the clam linguine, chicken parmeasan. All soooo good! Will def be back!

  • Review 89 (2024-01-06 - Rating: 5)

As always this place is the best. From the fabulous pancakes to the 3 piece meal we got including rigatoni de vodka and chicken Parmigiano to the dessert. Tiramasu. And dont even get me started on the rib meat meatball appetizer! The only problem is these dishes have been ruined for me for everywhere else. How can I eat them again elsewhere when now I know how they should taste and what Ill be missing.

Amazing food. Thin pizza and open face lasagna are delicious. I went there because it was featured on the view with Joy Behar ‘s favourite Italian restaurant also it was on Jimmy kimmel show. There are many plaques with different celebrities names or some locals. Washrooms clean and have mouthwash.

Incredible service from the servers and the bartenders…. I’ve been coming here for decades and Fiorello delivers a lovely brunch menu - Do try the artichoke omelette with delicious “Cacio e’ Pepe” homemade french fries and a mesclun greens saladDo check out their wine list or have one of their special cocktails (I love a nice spicy Bloody Mary!)But honestly - you’re never disappointed with my favorite hot & cold fresh antipasti on the East Coast!!! It’s fantastic!!!Generous freshly made pasta dishes and Thin Crust pizzas “a la Milan/Florence “ are a perfect choice as well! Great for before or after the Metropolitan Opera, Lincoln Center theatre, music concerts, or dance as well…

  • Review 99 (2023-11-14 - Rating: 5)

It is hard not to get wrapped up in the history and backdrop of this quintessential New York City restaurant in the heart of Lincoln Square. Although we didnt partake, the vegetable bar/tapas were colorful eye candy. I had the Branzino, a mild European sea bass grilled to perfection with vegetables and garnish. The remaining people in our party had the Shrimp Fra Diavolo, eggplant parmigiana, and seafood risotto. The pasta and risotto could have been a bit more plentiful, but overall a great experience. If I were to return, Id love to have the brunch and the vegetable bar sampler.

Was at Cafe Fiorello today for an impromptu dinner plan. They seated us promptly outside. I was worried about cold weather but their outside heaters are really good. Dont be shy to take outside choice if it close to heater. Youll be comfortable. As for food, the garlic bread that staff recommends is indeed really good. The grilled calamari one the menu was definitely something Ill go back for. As for pizza the thin crust was perfect. The sauce was good but not great. I would definitely recommend the pizza regardless, based on the crust. Very friendly staff.

Cafe Fiorello hits the spot for a classic Italian meal in Lincoln Square. Their antipasto bar is fantastic, offering a delicious spread of cured meats, cheeses, and marinated vegetables. We enjoyed exploring the variety before diving into our entrees. The menu covers all the Italian staples, and the service is friendly and attentive. The atmosphere leans a little old-school, but thats part of the charm. Overall, its a 4-star choice for a reliable Italian experience, especially if youre looking for a great antipasto selection.

  • Review 107 (2023-01-06 - Rating: 5)

Bustling Italian restaurant conveniently located right near Lincoln Center teeming with energy, a delicious menu and fine service. All joking aside Nonnas Shortrib Meatballs might be the best tasting meatball Ive ever had in my life. Great spot for a meal before attending a performance at the Lincoln Center.

  • Review 108 (2023-12-07 - Rating: 5)

Absolutely exceptional! 1st christmas in the city is always a vibe and the way Fiorellos worked the festive feeling into the restaurant was enchanting. We were seated in a small dining room off the back of the bar, where Mandy Patinkins (& Placido Domingos) reserved booth is. The lighting was perfect, the artwork was engaging and the vibe was very New York yet relaxing. Our waitress was the best, She was beyond attentive, never rushed us and was able to get us an item that was not on the menu at that time which was divine. She made brilliant suggestions on the menu. The food was to die for, the drinks and wine list *chefs kiss*! The Maitre d was delightful and so engaging with my sons. He had them convinced that they were paying the bill and if they were not able to pay said bill they would have to go in the back and do dishes, had the kids going for a while🤣 The overall atmosphere was Perfection and service made this the best dining experience I have had in years. I cannot wait for my next visit. Hopefully Mandy will be in town next time😉

Four thumbs up from me and my partner! We ordered the Fettuccini Bolognese and Rigatoni Alla Vodka. Both were perfect! The garlic bread was heavenly, too! We were also lucky enough to come on a nice day and sit outside on their pleasant patio. Definitely would love to eat here all the time (if it weren’t for the high prices!).

  • Review 111 (2023-08-13 - Rating: 5)

This was a wow experience from beginning to end. Attentive service, yummy alcohol, and possibly the best chicken milanese Ive ever eaten in my life. The feelings I was having about being just back from Italy earlier this week are a lot easier to breathe through now!

  • Review 112 (2023-03-13 - Rating: 5)

I am Italian and I am usually suspicious about Italian restaurants in the US. However, I could have a very good pizza as well as a fresh and tasty branzino (sea bass?). I also liked their interpretation of Spritz. The location is nice but it can be crowded and loud. A reservation seems essential.

  • Review 113 (2023-10-23 - Rating: 5)

Surprisingly delicious. Popped in here as the place next door was only serving a brunch menu at 5pm and was really impressed! We got a selection of starters.. get the sausage and red peppers! But the main event.. i would recommend for 4 people getting the pepperoni and hot honey pizza and their special lasagna to share. I have never had lasagna like it.. it was huge! And the pizza was so so so thin.. honestly so good! Dont get the bolognaise which was my choice.. really nothing special.. i soon ditched that and just tucked into the lasagne. We will be back!

  • Review 121 (2024-12-18 - Rating: 5)

This iconic Italian American establishment is not to be missed especially if you consider yourself a red sauce aficionado. The atmosphere is inviting and energetic. The service is NYC class. The menu is full of fan favorites: delicious salads, classic pasta mains, delicious entrees. The Parms are to die for. The portions are characteristically huge (madonna mia!). Wines are accessibly priced. Hand crafted cocktails are generously portioned. We had a fantastic meal.

  • Review 123 (2023-02-09 - Rating: 5)

Wonderful place that will leave you feeling well-fed and happy. I came here last night with my husband after the theater, and we had a very happy experience. The front-desk staff are kind and respectful, and they gave us a really nice table. The servers are professional and charming, and the food is excellent (we had pizza and a selection of the amazing veg appetizers). I wanted to note that what sets Cafe Fiorello apart is that they are very welcoming and it is an age-inclusive place; last night, there were both young crowds at the bar and older couples enjoying meals at their tables, and there was a bouyant party-like festive feeling and buzz throughout the restaurant. You are not judged by your looks or what you are wearing -- it is obvious that everyone is treated like a well-loved family member. This is very different from how I have been treated at other high-end NYC restaurants, where typically we have been (because of our age, mid-50s) shunted to rear tables. I want to thank the Cafe Fiorello team for all their kindness and for providing us a couple of very contented hours where my husband and I could forget the terrible stress and unhappiness we have gone through the last 3 years on the homefront. Kudos to the team for creating such an inclusive sanctuary of epicurean delight in the heart of Manhattan.

I and my wife went here on one of my wifes friends recommendation. One of the best veggie Ravioli and Pizza in town!! Thinking of their Ravioli is mouthwatering even when Im writing this review. Great location, a block down the famous Central Park. I would recommend this place to anyone visiting NYC.

  • Review 131 (2022-05-08 - Rating: 5)

I dine here every time I go to ballet at Lincoln center. It was always excellent service here. Today I went and I was disappointed with service. We had to ask for bread and wait a long time until we got it. We were sharing an entree and had to ask for plates. We had to pore wine at our glasses ourselves at some point. It never happened before. The fodd however was delicious as usually. The wine list seemed shorter than before. Hope that it was only tonight because we always loved that place.

  • Review 132 (2023-07-30 - Rating: 5)

Reservation for the day and time we wanted. Also in the location we wanted. In a booth reserved for one of my guests and her late husband. The food was great and plentiful, as always. That’s why we keep returning!!!

If Chris Eubanks likes to eat here it must be a good restaurant .

  • Review 134 (2022-05-20 - Rating: 5)

Staff was friendly and the food was great! The pizza is very thin so if you are a thick crust lover this might not be the best place for you but their flavors are very delicious and you don’t feel super weighed down either after the meal. The salad was excellent as well. We loved their pepperoni, prosciutto and margarita pizzas! Their cheesecake is super light, fluffy and not too sweet to our surprise. We really enjoyed this desert that our server recommended to us!

  • Review 135 (2024-06-07 - Rating: 5)

Conveniently located across from Lincoln Center, Cafe Fiorello is tucked between a much higher priced option and a much noisier option. We visited the bar where we were well libated by two highly skilled tenders: Diego and Jun. The Chartreuse peaked my curiosity and I hesitantly asked for a Last Word. Before I could stammer out the ingredients, the cocktail was expertly made. While we did not avail ourselves, their whiskey and Scotch inventory is most impressive. Their antipasto bar rivals most restaurants entree menu. Especially note the earthy mushroom salad and the tangy eggplant caponata. Fiorellos will definitely be a regular destination after our Lincoln center events.

  • Review 136 (2022-05-03 - Rating: 5)

Fiorello is an old favorite, but times have changed and it is not what it was. Many old menu favorites and pleasures are gone, though service remains attentive. Brunch items are routine. Not bad but undistinguished.

  • Review 140 (2023-07-11 - Rating: 5)

Cafe Fiorello is a great place to eat. You receive your food in a timely manner, which speaks to their efficiency and expertise especially given how busy they are. They have some of the best servers in the industry, and Fiorello keeps their team instead of the revolving door that is the case in so many restaurants after Covid.Their food is always fresh, and their portions are generous. Their antipasta is excellent, and great for vegetarians. Their flattened veal parmegian is superb. Their chocolate mousse is a game stopper; the best there is. You won’t get a better cheesecake anywhere.Fiorello is committed to customer satisfaction and if on the rare occasion, there’s a problem, they will fix it. Besides the great food, you get something else: charm. Fiorello is a charming place with friendly people who are at the top of their game. You can count on Fiorello to deliver a great dining experience.

It is an awesome place. We came for lasagna. It turns out to be their specialty. The lasagna is served flat on a big plate. The waiter informed us right away when we ordered. It is amazing. I would recommend to share if you do not want to stuff yourself. I love the way they serve wine. We order a glass of red wine. It comes in a small bottle (see the pic). We can share! Isn’t nice? Oh! The service is great! It is not easy to come across this kind of service in this big apple!

  • Review 146 (2021-04-16 - Rating: 4)

One of the first meals Ive had at a restaurant after the Covid-19 pandemic. The food tasted great although perhaps it was partly due to not having been to a restaurant in such a long time. I particularly enjoyed the Jumbo Lump Crab and Shrimp Stuffed Eggplant. The restaurant was pretty full inside (there was outside dining as well but it was raining). Good service as well and the waiters do gather around and sing if you inform someone its your birthday.

I love this place so much. Servers are awesome, probably some of the friendliest in the city. Food is amazing - everyone in our family has their own favorite dish. My 9 year old daughter loves the fettuccine Bolognese, I love the pepperoni veal parm but been going with the delicious branzino lately to mind my weight! My wife loves all the fish dishes and the market vegatables. Great cocktails, classic NYC Italian restaurant atmosphere and a perfect before or after Lincoln Center show option.

The paper thin pizza was truly delicious, no exaggeration there. I had the fennel sausage toppings for an extra kick, but Im confident even the margherita would be memorable. The chocolate mousse was dark, thick, and not too sweet, simply great. Everything came out blazingly quick, and still tasted and looked freshly made. The experience was lessened because the waiters seemed to ignore me regularly even with a mostly empty room. It could be a glitch, but Im not as confident in recommending this place.

I love this restaurant. We have a tradition of going here before a show across the street (at Lincoln Center), so have had brunch. The food is always delicious, servers excellent. I recommend making a reservation. Bathroom stalls are small, but bathroom is relatively clean. Fried artichokes, short rib meatballs, Bella benedict eggs, superb. Even the focaccia at the table is awesome.

This was the first restaurant I went to in New York, and it was a very good introduction. Everything came out piping hot, and the garlic loaf was exceptional enough to almost outshine the main course. I ordered the Penne Red Shrimp Fra Diavolo and had a bottle of the Chimay Reserve. The shrimp was perfectly cooked, and the sauce was delicious. The pasta was also very well, slightly al dente but no denseness. My server was an absolute gentleman, I believe his name was Dominic. 5/5.

What an experience! The food was gorgeous and delicious. We got the flat lasagna, what a whimsical and flavorful dish, huge portion, and the pesto fettuccine. The pesto was the best Ive ever had. You could taste all the components of a beautiful pesto. Fresh focaccia and olive oil too. For dessert we had the mousse. Divine! The chocolate was so light and airy. Great ending to a delicious meal.

This is the first ever not so great review I’m giving and it was all thanks to the “welcoming” host(s). The overall 4 stars is a saving grace because of our server who was super duper friendly and nice. The “welcoming” host(s) on the other hand were pretty nasty especially to my friend…definitely very “un-gentlmenly”. It was pretty uncomfortable and a bit humiliating to say the least. Seems like they were mostly welcoming to a certain type of people 🤔(We are all the same people under God, do not judge lest you be judged).Anyhow, change your ‘tude and maybe you’d get one more star despite the food not being the best Italian food I’ve ever had as I have had much better.

Every restaurant in NYC has delicious food. At worst, its 1 or 2 things on the menu, usually its some-great-some-good-some-meh. Here: every single thing was incredible. We had the veal chop, osso bucco, the fish, truffle potato pie, sausage and pepper. Special mention to the Lemon Pie dessert. Amazing food.
