Absolute amazing experience. Loved all the food that came and enjoyed every moment. The drinks were amazing. We had the fixed menu and everything that came was deliciously articulated. The view to iconic buildings are easy to admire from the height. Absolutely a must place to celebrate. -

We love Centurion NYC , the food and service are tops, the wine list is a bit expensive, but there are definitely well-priced and well-sellected bottles but you have to dig. I wish they had a better beer selection. but the whole experience is quite memorable every time we go. We also have done a number of wine dinners there with Daniel Boulud which were incredible of course. Overall, it’s a very very special place. -

We visited during lunch time which wasnt necessary the busiest time, which then again makes this place so much nicer to enjoy the stunning 360 views of downtown Manhattan. What made this place was their staff members and especially Service Director Brad, who has been more than accommodating by recommending plenty of nice places to go to or things to do in NYC.They also do live music every Friday which makes it a perfect venue to experience the sunset!Thumbs up will return! -

Exclusive restaurant atop Manhattan with a prime view. Food is tasty but prices are steep. Service is excellent. View cannot be beat. The Faroe Island Salmon is delicious and melts in your mouth. -

Food was just fine. Both services and the views are great. Would try again next time for à la carte instead of the tasting menu. -
Review 6 (2024-07-02 - Rating: 5)
Views are amazing. Service was impeccable and all of the food and drinks were prepared perfectly. We didn’t have any cocktails but they had a great selection and the N/A drinks we tried were so good. -

Centurion club is elite beautiful high end spot. If you are a Centurion holder you can walk in and they were very happy to help. Do check ahead if you are Platinum as walk in may not work well.Great view with serious professional staff and Daniel food, great espresso martini and recommend you visit. -

The food was exquisite. We did the three course menu and it was amazing. I had the pork belly and also included the cheese course as well. The drinks were wonderful as well as the service. But the best part was definitely the views ! -

When I say this was one of the most fabulous dining experience my husband and I have had, we enjoyed everything from the service, food, drinks, ambiance that Centurion offered! It was absolutely incredible. We made the reservation through our AMEX concierge and it was relatively quick to secure a table. Food was delicious in the gallery, my husband and I enjoyed everything we had. Also, the butter for bread service is imported from France, and is a highlight itself, if you appreciate items like that. Highly recommend for anyone who -

Overall, I enjoyed dinner here. Ambiance is 10+, the views of the city during sunset are amazing, the live jazz band. The food and drinks are a 8/10 for me. Good food not life changing. The passion fruit dessert was shockingly disappointing so avoid! Trust me. The service was excellent u n t i l we met our waiter. He didn’t introduce himself so all I can say is that he is a tall african American man. He unfortunately did not have the demeanor of someone to wait tables at a high end place. The shirt unbuttoned at the belly, if he didn’t understand something he would say “huh?”, barely checked if we needed something, and didn’t try from the basics, taking the order. Great spot except this waiter + the passion fruit dessert. -

I was able to get a reservation in the studio on my birthday and my friends and I enjoyed ourselves immensely. Service was attentive without being intrusive. One of us was running late so he arrived about 5 minutes after we had been seated - we thought wed have to squeeze in on a corner table where they had seated us (for 3) but instead they smoothly, with no fuss at all, moved us to a 4 top.Drinks were delightfully presented (see pictures) and dinner was delicious, we had no complaints. The birthday dessert was very good! Ill be back when next Im in NYC.The space was elegant and upscale without feeling pretentious. The views were, sadly for us, obscured by low hanging clouds but we did get glimpses of the lights from both the Empire state building and the Chrysler building. -
Review 12 (2023-12-17 - Rating: 5)
An exclusive experience which is a great way to impress someone: spectacular views, classy ambiance, very attentive service and great food. Prices are on a higher end and portions are not huge but it felt totally worth it. We paid total $300 for 2 with 4 dishes, 2 deserts, 2 drinks and 2 teas.Note: you can only pay with Amex or cash (so when I tried to grab the bill to treat my friend who made the reservation- they said I cant do it with another card, so I had to ask my friend to pay:). So have Amex with you before announcing any generous gestures. Also make sure to check out a more private bar on the other side of lifts with a stunning view of Chrysler building. We only managed to get 5.30pm reserve Saturday and the place started to really fill around 7pm. -
Review 13 (2024-12-06 - Rating: 5)
A wonderful restaurant with a great view of both Empire State Building and Chrysler Building. The service was wonderful and super attentive. The food was great but only prefixes are offered at the dining room: $165 for a 3-course or $225 for a 5 -course. For us the 3-course was just right. The chef also offered pre-meal and post-meal treats.Highly recommend it for a night out. -
Review 14 (2023-11-14 - Rating: 5)
Amazing view of Manhattan from the 55th floor. You can see out from every side of the building. Staff are also extremely friendly and helpful with everything from the menu to drink and there’s live entertainment every Friday evening. Food is good and there’s a decent selection of item on the menu. -

Review 16 (2024-09-22 - Rating: 5)
I’ve given 5-stars to many restaurants, but this one is a cut above those. Service is spectacular and genuine. All four people in my party marveled at the deliciousness of their drinks, meals, and desserts. Our personal preferences meant we tried a wide variety from soft to hard cocktails and meals spanning butternut squash soup, chicken, pork, burrata, and mushroom. Both desserts ordered were considered to be amongst the best ever. Of yeah, the view is magnificent. Walk around the restaurant and take it in. It’s a classy joint with outstanding food. -
Review 17 (2023-05-24 - Rating: 5)
Without a reservation you can walk in - only a centurion card required. The ambiance feels high end, and the views are stunning. The drinks are up to NY standard. Strong. Although it can be pricey, its definitely worth the visit. I cant wait to return and check out the speak easy and restaurant. Furthermore, I met incredibly bright people and most of them are open for a chat. -

I was curious to see the lounge, so while visiting Manhattan, i step in, the first impression is woww the view is amazing all around , it was a little confusing to understand the concept especially if you regular to airports lounge. There is a small open space for meeting if you want only drinks , huge space for eating one is for small bites and the other is a fine dining restaurant prices are very expensive. And also at 5pm they open the bar drinkes only with the view to empires building. The service is very, very good . Overall, it was a great experience . I wish it was less expensive for centurion members. -

AMEX Centurion Lounge is just recently opened and we were super excited to visit because of its location. We didnt have high expectations as they are still getting the operations set up. We went with an open mind and it was awesome! We celebrated our first wedding anniversary at The Gallery with a stunning and lovely view of our fav Chrysler building in the city.!!Thanks to AMEX Centurion Team along with the Daniel Boulud and his team for an amazing experience. To set expectations, just like any other Michelin star restaurant, you will find fine dining experience with high prices and small portion size through the Chefs Tasting Menu. No surprises there!Daniel has done great job curating the entire menu. We still feel that he could up the game in the desserts area.Making a reservation was a smooth experience. Cara was super friendly and helpful to adjust the schedule as per our availability. During the dinner, both Masad and Pearla were awesome and super friendly.Highly recommended if you live in city or visiting New York!! -

Wonderful ambience great service good food! Had a drink at the Bar and then dinner at the Studio. Quite good quality for the price - oysters fresh, scallops elegant, burger tasty. The front staff and especially Irene was very professional and helpful. Many thanks for a wonderful first visit! -
Review 21 (2023-10-23 - Rating: 5)
Come on- what a fantastic night. Cocktails were great! Our bartender was so friendly and funny. We sat at the bar and had drinks and lots of different appetizers! Highly recommend the tuna tar tar and the centurion martini with squid ink- but I replaced vodka with gin. The views are unbeatable and if you arrive at 5pm you get the day, sunset, and night time lights. Not many places you can see the empire, the Chrysler, the Hudson, and the place isn’t crowded at all!! -

Centurion NY is a true hidden gem in NYC. An exquisite design paired with superb service, great food, and an outstanding bar. Danny, the bar manager, is an artist! You have to check out his and his teams creations. From their classy Centurion, the Clover Club over their French 55 to a truly amazing interpretation of an Espresso Martini. A must go-to when travelling to NYC! 10/10 🍸🥂 -

This amazing private dining experience started out with impeccable staff and service with a killer view of the entire manhattan skyline including the iconic empire state and chrysler building. The michelin level culinary experience surprised me with one of the best foie gras I had this year so far, duck breast perfectly cooked, amazing white truffle pasta, huge wine selection - I savor every bite. The massive luxury penthouse like space is beautiful and thoughtful -- with both casual and fine dining space available to choose from. -
Review 29 (2023-07-10 - Rating: 4)
Without a reservation you can’t get in. You also must be an American Express card holder. They don’t accept any other cards. The service is good. Food is ok. The view is great. I’d come back for dinner. -

Really enjoyed our experience at Centurion NY. The space is thoughtfully designed, intimate, quiet, but still allows for conversation. The views speak for itself, of course. We had an early reservation and enjoyed our time leisurely without being rushed. We booked the Studio with the intention to try multiple dishes and it did not disappoint. Steak tartare, heirloom tomatoes, pasta, dessert, enjoyed every course. Will definitely try the Gallery and pre fixe next. We didn’t get a chance to try to bar this time around, but will not miss it next time. -

Review 34 (2023-07-18 - Rating: 5)
Amazing service and great views of course.Centurion members can walk in without a reservation, which are otherwise very difficult to get.Enter from Madison Ave, not Vanderbilt. My only complaint is that it is set up more as a lounge / restaurant, rather than a city club, which means there is no quiet place to retreat to for private business discussions, or a work table when members need to pop in somewhere comfortable to get a bit of work done. Thinking of Capital Club in Nairobi as a perfect example of how to do it right.Hard to complain with a straight face though when everything else is so great. Thanks AMEX! -

Had Dinner at Centurion New York on a quiet evening. The staff, food, ambiance and views were amazing! What made the evening more special, were their staff members and especially the sommelier! She recommended and paired great selections of wine to go with our meal, and other staff were very accommodating to recommend places to check out in NYC.I highly recommend a visit if youre in the area. -

What an incredible venue on the 55th floor of One Vanderbilt. There are few places in the city that offer such a stunning view, paired with exceptional food and outstanding service. -
Review 38 (2024-05-24 - Rating: 5)
This gem is located on the 55th floor of the one Vanderbilt building and offers incredible food, views, and service. You step off the elevator to unrivaled floor to ceiling views of the west side and downtown Manhattan. And yet the fun really only starts once you are seated. Every bite of every course was exceptionally good; full of flavor, unfamiliar enough to excite but familiar enough to feel almost like comfort food. Every interaction with staff was professional and friendly. Thank you to the entire team for a great experience. -

One of the most iconic and amazing meals and experiences we have had in a long time. The food is overseen by Daniel Bolud and it shows. Michelin star dining with an exceptional menu. The cocktails are some of the best we have had and the service is impeccable. Everyone of the meals we had was perfectly executed. There is nothing on the menu we wouldnt recommend. -

Visited for dinner at the studio section of the centurion. The location is a 10/10 with breathtaking views. The drinks are wonderful.Bread basket : hard rock bread, but the butter was delicious. The eggplant a la plancha was a 7/10House made semolina Rigatoni is a 10/10The apple crumble dessert was an 8 where as the passion fruit dessert was very dry inside earning it a 6/10.Everyone we interacted with were welcoming and friendly. The waiter that was assigned to our table was not as professional as the rest of the staff. -

My wife and I went to NYC for our anniversary and had the opportunity to enjoy our dinner in the Gallery. Our wait staff were attentive and our waiter knew how to pair a wine to each one of our plates. The atmosphere was pleasant, the sights were extraordinary and the food was exceptional. We spent approximately 2 1/2 hours there and enjoyed every minute. If you ever have the opportunity to enjoy the evening here, it is an absolute joy!! -

Wow! What a fantastic restaurant. The view here is incredible and the food is also great. It’s hard to beat a well crafted meals 55 floors up. I came around 12 and there was no one else, but people started to pour in 15 minutes later. The reservation is definitely tough to secure. Amex Platinum’s concierge was used for me to get a reservation as it’s booked fully when reservations drop a month prior.100% recommend this restaurant! I would love to come for dinner soon. -

🇺🇸🇦🇱What It’s Like to Dine at Centurion New York, AmEx’s Black Card Clubhouse.A great Lunch at Centurion, New YorkAmidst the towering silhouettes of skyscrapers, where dreams are woven into the very fabric of New York City, I find myself seated at Centurion, a hidden gem nestled within the grandeur of One Vanderbilt on 42nd Street. This restaurant isn’t just a place to dine; it’s a celebration of life, a sanctuary for food lovers, and an artistic haven where culinary dreams take flight. As I gaze through the expansive windows, I’m transported back to the bustling streets below, each corner a memory, each sidewalk a testament to the hustle that shaped my journey. I recall the long days spent developing businesses, the late nights fueled by ambition, and the vibrant energy of this city that never sleeps. The view from here is a breathtaking tapestry of urban life, a reminder of how far I’ve come and the dreams yet to be fulfilled.Sharing this moment with my great friends and partners, Max, Laura, and Eric adds to the richness of the experience. Together, we dive into a feast that is as inspiring as it is delicious. The dishes before us are not merely food; they are works of art, each plate crafted with intention and creativity. The appetizers arrive, vibrant and colorful, like the city itself. A delicate tartare, seasoned to perfection, dances with flavors that echo the diversity of New York’s culinary scene. Each bite tells a story, inviting us to savor the moment. Laughter and conversation flow as freely as the expertly paired drinks, a symphony of joy and camaraderie. As the main courses arrive, the ambiance hums with energy. The perfectly seared steak, tender and juicy, contrasts beautifully with the earthy truffle mashed potatoes, an indulgence that encapsulates comfort and sophistication. I find inspiration in this meal, each flavor igniting a spark of creativity. The artistry of the presentation mirrors the brilliance of the city’s skyline, reminding us that beauty can be found in every detail.Dessert arrives, a sweet finale to our culinary odyssey. A rich chocolate mousse, decadent and velvety, melts in my mouth, an exquisite reminder that life’s sweetest moments are often shared with those we cherish. The ambiance around us is electric, the service impeccable, and the laughter shared with friends resonates in the air like a cherished melody. As I sit back, taking in the beauty surrounding me the stunning views, the delectable food, and the warmth of friendship. I feel a profound sense of gratitude. This moment is a fusion of all that inspires me: the city, the food, and the bonds that tie us together. It’s a reminder to savor life, to embrace each experience fully, and to always seek out beauty, even amidst the hustle. In this haven atop the city, I am not just a visitor; I am part of a greater tapestry, a shared journey filled with passion, artistry, and inspiration. And as we toast to the future, I know that our adventures together are only just beginning. -

One of the tequilas at this place is sold for $530 and you get 2 ounces of tequila. This is an exclusive bar/restaurant for people who hold a Centurian membership, which basically means a black American Express card- in other words- Have a history of at least one year with American Express. Spend $500,000 or more per year on your Amex credit cards. It is very fancy, but there’s always room for improvement. -

It’s a phenomenal location and view and atmosphere. Second visit. The drinks are amazing though price ~30. It’s billed as a fine dining French restaurant. Pricing is accordingly. A little uptight and stiff staff. Could add more welcoming warmth to the staff. -

Their bread was warm when they served it. Liked it better than lobster and all the other stuff. Bread - 10 out of 10, would highly recommend. Butter was good too. Came two week in a row just for it and the views. -

Great atmosphere, great views. I enjoyed all the food I had, but it also didnt wow me, I expected something slightly more, although Im not sure why. The cocktails I had were very good, as were the desserts. Worth doing of you can snag a reservation, to be clear. More like a 4.5/5 on the food, if I could give half stars. -

Review 72 (2024-10-24 - Rating: 4)
I went for a second time. The food is ok, the drinks are amazing. There are so many places to eat in that area at the same price point that it’s almost not worth it, unless you have a need to feel exclusive. The view is what earns the stars. This is a good place to take someone if they’re visiting the city for the first time -
Review 73 (2023-06-22 - Rating: 5)
The cocktails were fantastic: Wildfire (favorite) and Atelier. The bread was good. Tuna tartare: nothing especial. The caviar and waffles were average, too salty and needed more crème fraîche. Perla recommended the sea scallops and that was remarkable! The salmon was very good too, and the mushrooms. For desserts: the cheesecake was amazing (don’t judge by the size!) - and the pistachio dessert was pretty good, but the presentation was not too aesthetic. Perla: thank you so much for your great recommendations. Ira: thanks for taking care of us tonight! -

Cheers to Torontos own George and Glenn of Yabu Pushelberg whove laid claim to another exciting endeavour in Manhattan at One Vanderbilt. While in town to discuss potential business with a client, I was invited for a light lunch at this new experience for Centurion members with spectacular city views and not within the usual airport terminal. Service and food is excellent with the Daniel Boulud menu changing frequently. Theres a concierge on site but my client remarked they prefer to contact their own personalised concierge through Amex. The space continues the stark, minimal aesthetic thats very appealing to a select few, with organic art pieces throughout. Lots of dark materials to enhance the experience of evening dining and influences remind me of the AGOs Henry Moore Sculpture Gallery all very well curated and relaxed. Beautiful floral arrangements continue the Zen feel. I remember when Yabu Pushelberg designed the Milestones chain of restaurants with dark woods and vibrant coloured wall panels. Personally if I werent merely a past Platinum Card Member, I prefer the atmosphere of Bemelmans, The King Cole Bar or Annabelle. Membership has its privileges and this is experiential. Reservations recommended, dress code. -

Amazing views of NYC and equally exceptional food by Chef Daniel. Price point is great all things considered. -
Review 77 (2023-07-03 - Rating: 4)
It was a bit crowded and less cool on my second visit . learned that a large number of Platininum members have been invited to the club, making it less exclusive. This centurion lounge at the airport at the beginning, was open to only security members, which made the club, less crowded and more exclusive. It went down hill quickly, but it is still good, just not great . -

Great view. The staff are so pleasant and service is top notch. I ordered the salmon and it was moist and not over cooked and I enjoyed the tasty side of lobster Mac and cheese with Wine recommendation by sommelier. The bar area has an excellent view of the Chrysler Bldg. -

Lovely experience with fantastic views in every direction. The staff was very friendly especially Alexander, he made us feel so welcomed and was very knowledgeable about the menu and the ingredients. He made sure to check if we had allergies and he also spoke very passionately about the dishes and made great suggestions to us. The servers were also very polite and attentive. We had a great experience and look forward to going back. -

I came for drinks, and I must say, this is a beautiful lounge with immedicable service, very friendly and professional staff. Great service and great drinks. I had the grand margarita and the martini. Both were made perfectly. The views are amazing as well. Great overall. The speakeasy side was closed for an event, but I will enjoy that space next time. -

Easily one of the best experiences Ive ever had a restaurant anywhere in the world. The service was impeccable, the food was delicious, and the views are incomparable.Thoughtful design touches everything in the space with well throughout layout, art, color schemes, even the food and drink choices and use of physical space. Not only is The Centurion Lounge beautiful but it maintains a unique NYC flair that harkens the days of old world Madison Ave. -

A beautiful space with beautiful views. We ate in the less formal section, and the food was identifiably Boulud (the man himself made a cameo greeting an important guest!) but uneven. The appetizers were under seasoned but the mains were balanced and delicious. The drinks were similarly balanced and we enjoyed them a lot (Vanderbilt and Negroni Blanc). The star of the show was still the Chrysler building tucked behind a bar at the back :) -

Amazing food and atmosphere. Spent several hours for dinner, never felt rushed. Walked around to explore the restaurant in-between courses. The bar overlooking the top of the Chrysler Building is one of the coolest views Ive seen. The maître d also let us know what time sunset was and where to go for the best views. -

Love stopping by while in NYC. Love the views. Everytime I hop in (usually lunch) it is never busy; which was so nice from the hustle and bustle below. The front desk lady upon entering the building is so sweet and pleasant. The staff is always super nice and the chef delivered her masterpieces in person. Will def be back. -

I dined at this establishment a few weeks ago with a party of two, opting for the indulgent 5-course dinner. Each plate presented a distinct and memorable culinary experience. The service, in particular, stood out as unparalleled, exceeding my expectations. Furthermore, the breathtaking view added an extra layer of delight to the evening. To my pleasant surprise, the prices were more reasonable than anticipated. After savoring a selection of fine wines, our final bill amounted to just shy of $600, generously rounded up with a 25% tip.Definitely, looking forward to come back. -

At the heart of New York, nestled within the exclusive embrace of the American Express Centurions realm, lies a restaurant that transforms the ordinary act of dining into an affair to remember, especially on Valentines Day. This culinary jewel, reserved for those with the golden key of Amex membership, offered a pre-fixed menu on this day of love—a selection designed to streamline choice and elevate dining to an art form. The Centurion restaurant, known for its impeccable standards and sophisticated ambiance, crafted an experience that, while limited in the variety typical of a la carte freedom, soared in quality and execution. Each dish, a love note to the palate, was prepared with the kind of attention to detail that whispers of quiet luxury and exclusivity. But what truly set the Valentines Day dinner apart was not just the food, which danced gracefully between not bad and sublime, but the panoramic views that framed the dining experience. The cityscape, a sprawling canvas of lights and dreams, provided a backdrop that could stir even the most cynical heart to romance.Though the fixed menu might have left little room for culinary adventure, it spoke to a certain kind of intimacy—of shared plates and a shared evening, where the lack of choice meant less time perusing the menu and more time gazing into the eyes of ones beloved. It was, in essence, a carefully choreographed ballet of flavors and sights, tailored to forge an unforgettable Valentines memory. In the end, dining at the Amex Centurion restaurant on Valentines Day was an exercise in exclusive luxury. It was a reminder that sometimes, the most profound expressions of love are found not in the grand gestures but in the curated experiences that touch the soul. And as the night drew to a close, with the city lights winking their approval, it was clear that this was not just a meal, but a moment—a moment of beauty, of love, and of a quiet, understated opulence that only the Centurion could provide. -

When we first learned about this place opening last year, I knew we had to visit. At first, it seemed impossible since it was black card members only and when I found out that other AMEX card holders could try to get a reservation recently. With global dining access, I went ahead and requested a few time slots if and when something became available. I received a text a week later saying that there were availability that evening and got us a reservation! As we stepped out the elevator, you look to one side, see the Chrysler Building and the other side is where the reception is to take to to your table around the corner with the beautiful view of the west and south sides of NYC. We opted for the Studio (more casual) than the Gallery (fine dining) for our first visit. We ordered a Heart of Palm salad, the Tomahawk, charred broccolini. I tried the Centurion Martini - Platinum and Espresso Martini (with bourbon, the way they make it and recommend).Overall, we had a great experience and will definitely be back to try the Gallery!(See Photos section for pictures) -
