    Nice milieu and pleasant décor. Attentive waiters and delicious food. Occasionally attractive local medical staff come for dinner and drainks, so the eye candys free even if a certain doctors already accounted for!

    This was my second time here. I came to celebrate me and my friends birthday. We made it In time for brunch. I love the atmosphere, the people are nice the service was great and the food was awesome. I love their chicken and waffles. The crowd was really relaxed and it wasnt to crowded. Easy to get to by train. I love their wall display of everyone named Charlie. Didnt catch the live band this time, but like like to come on a Friday or happy hour to see the vibes. I will definitely be back again.

    My experience at Charlie’s Bar and Kitchen was amazing! The communication and customer service was top tier! The Bar Tenders were friendly and professional and handled my orders fast and efficiently. The Manager was also very busy but still went above and beyond to help me and still took care of everyone and made sure they were satisfied. I can’t wait to go back! You have to come here! The drinks are innovative and cold and the food is hot and delicious!

    Since we started going here a couple of years ago have always like the look of the place and the food. Very tasty french fries and the fish tacos right portion that you want to order something else. Great place.Its now March 2022. Still a great place to celebrate life and friends. Please do drop by.     Its a quaint spot and I thoroughly enjoyed my time there. I attended a pre- mothers evening event , featuring Keith The Captain Gamble and the Nu Gypsies band and I was very entertained. The food is very good, the drinks colorful and the ambience is very comforting. 🥰🥂

    This is a Bronx gem. I barely find places worth going to in this borough. I love their set up. All of the staff are very friendly. Our waitress was always available if we had any questions or if our water was low.I had chicken and waffle but on the menu it is called fried chicken Benny. It was “ok” the waffle was really good but I felt like the chicken could have been seasoned a little better. It probably would have taste better if I had the sausage gravy on it but being that I dont eat pork and they don’t substitute anything for it I asked for them to take it off.My boyfriend had the burger and fries. I kept picking from his plate because the fries was seasoned perfectly and cooked just right. He said those was the best fries he ever had.The bathroom was clean. And I love the fact they had the cooks right in the middle of the restaurant. So we could smell everything they were making in the kitchen when we walked in. Music was great as well.When we were just about to leave out, a band started playing. I wish we could have came a little later because they sound great for the 30 seconds I got to listen too. I will defiantly come back soon.

    Have tried many of the house cocktails and brunch menu items, always leave here happy. Happened to catch live music on Mother’s Day, hearing my fav temptations song as I sat the bar was iconic. Manny at the bar is so sweet and attentive. Great neighborhood spot!

    This place is friendly and the food is amazing. The portions are huge and the drinks are honest . I wish I could take it home. The staff are very attentive and never too far away. They have indoor seatingand are just as ❤️ly. I havent made it to dessert there just yet. Oh and the Salsa and freshly made chips alone is a meal and delicious . I could eat them all day!. We were there does retirement party and everyone that saw pictures want details and a few went to visit a couple days afterward

    Great food, great drinks, and even better people. The manager Keke was the star of the show here, nice, and extremely pleasant to meet. It is a easy location to walk by and miss, but that would be a mistake. Charlies is a must go in the Bronx, and once again Keke is a great reason on its own. We spent 5 days in the Bronx and went there for food and or drinks daily.

    On our first night in the U.S went to Charlie’s for dinner as it was close to the hotel all I can say is wow the food was AMAZING, staff were really friendly (especially the young woman with tons of energy)great place, the food was that good we went back every night for dinner and each time the food was easily the best we’ve ever had when eating out.If you are in the area, looking for some fabulous food and great atmosphere definitely go to Charlies

    Sunday brunch wife and I. So we always drive pass on way into Manhattan an heard so much good things about , we decided to check it out. We was not disappointed it was all good. Place was small cozy. Food excellent. Staff nice and accommodating attentive. Wife and the EGGS BENEDICT/SALMON, I had 3 ingredients omelet bacon,onions and mushrooms. Both taste and presentation excellent. Heres where I mean accommodating, wife wanted a small side order of the BISCUITS &GRAVY not a full order like sampler side. They hooked up just that. Let tell you that B&G was the bomb. We also had the flowing Mimosas and Bellinis and shots of tequila 🤪. Ooh also met a very nice couple. Oh also found out that the live music is on Thursdays , will check this out and be back for brunch again

    Love the services, owners, servers and bartender are so good. They paid attention to details, and talk to you if you drink is taking a bit longer. I tried the Buffalo chicken dip and it was good . Also try 3 different drink. French Marini, hot lip and champagne charlie.My favorite was the French martini was perfect executed and end touche with a dark cherry at the end. Will be back for the other drinks.

    This place is amazing and needs more exposure. The food especially the Fried Chicken is a touch of heaven. My....My....My... the atmosphere is great. parking is decent. Staff attentive. Love it BUT they are very aggressive with the gratuities. Dont assume you earned a certain amount, let the customer decide on how much they want to give the Wait Staff. They are too confident on what they think they should be given. Tips are earned not taken!

    Kiki and Nikki and the rest of the staff were so kind, fun and gracious. We came in around 1:30p and stayed until 7p. Very unusual for us but we were having such a good time. The food was delicious but what made it great was the staff. My friends went back last night for the live music and I plan on visiting in the near future.

    Really nice place with good food. The chips and salsa were stale and the salsa was kinda busted but the charcuterie plate was bountiful and delicious and the burger was really tasty and not super salty like other places. Waitress was kind and attentive. I would have liked more veggies like some onions and pickles but not a deal breaker. Cocktails were delicious as well!

    First and foremost I am wowed and just ecstatic to now have a spot for brunch where the ambiance, food and drinks are absolutely amazing! We were a large group and ordered 4 entrees to be shared family style and although there was a discrepancy on that between us, staff and management, they graciously honored our request. The food was so fresh and delicious we were completely taken aback by the consistency in flavor throughout our dishes! The mimosas were just right and kept on coming on time! Will recommend and revisit!

    I live in the South Bronx, not far from this place. There arent any nice decent restaurants in the area besides fast food and typical Spanish restaurants. So I was extremely happy when I stumbled upon this place. Atmosphere was nice and the staff was very friendly. My husband and I had dinner here one night and the food was amazing. The drinks were a perfect mix. This is our new date night spot, cant wait to go back!

    What an amazing place this is!!!Eli the bartender is solid, my husband and I cameIn for a date night and all through Eli did not know personally he made us feel like family and like we were in our living room, he made special cocktails (charlies champagne/ special drink ) accommodated our preferences and made us feel at home, Pablo (who we think is one of the managers) also made us feel at home just a neighborhood bar and grill that is wholesome and amazing!! We will definitely be going back as we are Currently Bronx residents and will highly recommend to anyone looking to go out for a drink in the south Bronx :)

    Had a great experience for brunch. It was very calm for Saturday time. I got the fish tacos. They were very yummy but very small. I got a side of fries that help to add on for the meal. A decent bottomless brunch for $19 for 1.5 hours. The waitress walked around and made sure that none of our glasses were empty. Great service. It was also a birthday, they surprised my friend with a slice of cake and sung happy birthday.

Tastes like good, sweet, summertime lemonade with a kick.CONS:Fish & chips and fish tacos: wayyy to much batter on both! Peeled the batter off and tried to pull out the fish. The fish was non-existent. Fried batter masquerading as fish in both cases.Warm brownie sundae was only so so. Tasted like they were going for a culinary delicacy. If youre going to blow your diet, you at least want the dessert to be worth the indulgence.     We stopped in at 11 AM today, right as the restaurant was opening. Our server Jonathan was a really fantastic guy who took great care of us. I meant to order the chicken burger but instead ordered the Chicken Benny, and Jonathan offered to switch it for me. I’m so glad I told him not to. The Chicken Benny is amazing fried chicken on a delicious waffle with freshly made Buffalo sauce for the chicken and scrumptious thick maple syrup for the waffle. I couldn’t have been happier! My husband ordered biscuits and gravy (they bake the gravy fresh daily and we had to wait for it to be done!). Also fantastic.

    Alright, let me share the whole truth about Charlies! I love the food and look forward to eating here everytime. News12 did a segment on how great the fried chicken was and how much of a hidden gem the place is. I had to go!!! Literally, I visited the following week in celebration of my sons pre-k graduation. We had an amazing waiter, great food, and a pretty cozy space to ourselves. The Charlies Fried Chicken is absolute perfection. In that it is boneless pieces of light and dark chicken friend and drizzled with honey and hot sauce. Ughhhh, I prefer to dip because Im a dipper. If youre into alcoholic concoctions, try the Champagne Charlie. It is like nothing youve ever tasted. Refreshing and served ice cold in a Champagne glass.....so you have the fancy holding of a glass effect. What else have I tried and enjoyed? The mac n cheese, rosemary fries, spinach dip, sweet corn, pulled pork Sandwich, fish tacos, and mashed potatoes. Delish. But beware of the automatic gratuity added to the bill no matter what size your party is.

    I randomly Google brunch last week and came across this Bar/Restaurant. I got lucky because I had a great time and ate well. I have the churrasco it was good but I was nursing a hangover so I couldnt finish it. Live jazzy music making their own rendition of classic song very cool. Customers were fun and didnt make it a scene. The bartender Chantel was great and made the afternoon fun. Oh and the Nitro beer try it if you like a stout beer.

    Great getaway just one stop over the Harlem River! food was great made in an open kitchen, bartender was knowledgeable, friendly and on point with the drinks.Cocktails on the menu are top notch, and something youd like to drink vs. the regular run in most bars.Bx is the new Bk if you know what Im sayin.

    Amazing! The staff attendants catered to my every need, such as when my salmon was still a bit undercooked, they offered to cook it more! Adding on, the atmosphere was great, and all the staff were friendly. The only thing that I would point out is that there was just too much food for me, and I ended up eating way too much.

    I loved this restaurant. It was conveniently located in front of Bronx Native the store, which had an event. My boyfriend and I decided to grab a drink to see if the crowd would clear out. It turned out to have an amazing French onion soup and a mushroom flatbread.My only complaint is the tv station was on hockey.Maybe one of the tvs can be on espn news that way it’s all sports 😀.

    Went here for the first time for my date and LOVED IT COMPLETELY. The food was amazing and very fancy. The waitress was very polite and helpful. I believe that I would be coming back next week.If you are looking for a cozy spot right here in the BX, then Charlies is the place to go. The music is awesome and the staff is great. Had the cocktail and it was delectable. Food taste amazing and their menu is very versatile. A perfect spot for you and some friends, a date and even a family dinner...whatever it is...Charlies is the place to go if you are in the area.FYI...There wine selection is great.

    Dont know if this establishment is Black owned, but the staff definitely would allow you to believe so as the staff consists of brothas and sistas. Not to mention the wall art, the menu options and the eclectic music selection.This small restaurant is one of The Bronxs very own hidden gems in the Highbridge section of The Bronx. From start (appetizer) to finish (dessert) is THE BOMB DOT COM! Every meal is cooked well and the cocktails are mixologist approved.I will be visiting again. Lunch was great!

    Ate here for lunch into dinner & had a wonderful bartender/waitress named Diamond. Her name doesn’t do her justice. So nice & beyond accommodating. The margherita flatbread was alright going on good but .. I’ve been here before but after meeting her I am SOLD on this place, will always come back to her. Thank you so much for your hospitality.     The best spot in the South Bronx. The new chef had put together a delicious menu that isnt too pretentious but warrants a higher price-point.     Love, love, love this place! Charlies Bar & Kitchen is located in the Port Morris section of the Bronx. It is great for a party of 2 or a large party of 22! The food is super good & portions are big. I had the Fried Chicken (dark & delish) on Hot Sauce and a Drizzle of Honey with a side of Garlic Mash. The hot sauce is not over powering at all. I ate, my date ate and there were leftovers. He had the Ribs w/broccoli & Patatoe Wedges (only 4 slices, so if you are super hungry, grab another side) - this plate was also delicious! The Music was great!!! A mix of Jazz, Old School R&B & Soul. Charlies ambiance is dim, romantic, cozy. They offer drinks here as well w/a choice of low top tables for dinner or high top tables for a quick drink. They also have amazing art work & great service! If you are like me and do not like to sit next the the kitchen as for seating in the back or get a high table.
