    Cute and cozy bar with outdoor seating! Drinks are $16 and they have food too! We came around 5:30 and it was super empty. Service was friendly and the drinks were really good!

    Amazing experience! The back inside/outside sitting areas are colorful and nicely decorated. The flatbread and drinks were delicious and surprisingly cheap for NYC. Place was a bit smaller and can get busy in the summer so definitely make reservations.

    Great cocktails and they are open for outdoor dining on their back patio which has heaters and is covered. The inside is vibrant and eclectic decor. Very nice lounge when indoor dining is allowed again.

    Definitely make a reservation..Cool lounge : bar scene. Low seating in comfy chairs. Tons of great drink choices and also good traditional martini. Sliders were good. Learn from us and be sure to turn menu over - that’s where the happy hour drinks are (5p-8p) - we didn’t 😐 Clean non-smelly unisex restroom situation. Will return.

    Such a lovely space and people! Steve, Daniella, and Jose. Love, love, love. What a hidden gem. They have an outdoor space which is perfect to see the stars at night and upstairs tea room which is an understatement - they apparently have jazz nights which I very much look forward to joining in the next few weeks.

    What a great little hideaway! Dim lighting, intimate tables and couches, and great service make this an excellent spot to try an interesting custom martini. We also tried the brie and apple quesadilla appetizer, and while a bit greasy, we devoured every bite. Would love to return in the spring and sit on their super-cute outdoor patio.

    Stumbled upon this bar when Dear Irving was closed for a private party. But we were pleasantly surprised by the menu and the venue. The cocktails are fairly simple, so you know what youre getting into as you order. Both the Hedge Fund Guy and City Courage are worth ordering.

    An escape type lounge that really knows how to mix up a cocktail or two. As you walk down the staircase youll notice a very dark and cozy atmosphere. The customer service here is phenomenal. A great spot after work.

    Cibar isnt cheap but it is one of my favorite places to grab a drink nearby. First off, the place is pretty awesome and eclectic looking inside, with 2 fireplaces, dim but not dark lighting, an array of seating options (bar, tables, chairs/sofas), and an odd, gold theme. There is also a backyard that I havent gotten to check out. Noise level was a few notches down from being loud. For drinks I usually choose the coked up hedge fund guy (cinnamon-infused Bulleit, fresh lemon juice and bourbon cherries). Im normally not a Bulleit fan but this works and its consistently a very well made cocktail. Service is always friendly, down to earth and efficient; that is especially rare with mixology places. Again Cibar is a bit pricey, but unlike many cocktail bars you get what you pay for. Actually, Cibar is pretty much everything youd want a cocktail bar to be.

    The Cibar lounge is so amazing, I planned my mothers 60th birthday celebration costume party, with the Medieval times, Game of Thrones & renaissance theme with dinner at the Medieval times dinner & tournament in New Jersey and the after party at the Cibar lounge. I fell in love with the lounge from the first time I saw it; located in Gramercy park, its unique design with mosaic tiling & back splash mirrored walls and acrylic stools for the bar that create that decadent and majestic feel of luxury and coziness. Our reservation was located near the fireplace, which was the best section in the lounge. The service at the Cibar lounge was excellent, the staff was so courteous and very friendly. The night was successful Thanks to the staff, but the disc jockey Mike Williams set the ambiance and mood playing a music list I sent that incorporated 80’s rock tunes to some birthday hits, which was awesome. The bottle service menu had a variety of wines, champagnes and top shelf liquors, which was perfect for our guests. It was a beautiful night and I would definitely recommend the Cibar lounge for your corporate, event, birthday and get together.     Have been here a couple of times and the drinks never disappoint. I recommend the coked up hedge fund guy and zebra de passion. Service is really good too.

    Cibar is the best little bar in Union. Great service and friendly people. Carolina is the best and making the trip to see her is well worth it and the food and drinks are incredible.

    Ive been here twice while in the area for work. Great atmosphere - its fun to just look around. Rarely crowded. Signature drink list is short but excellent, with some names that are just fun to order. Ive had La Jefa both times. Its a very well balanced mezcal cocktail with fresh rosemary. Staff isnt rude at all but seems kind of indifferent - maybe theyre just giving us our space? Appetizers were good but thats the extent of food. If you want a full meal there are plenty of other options nearby.

    Hosted our work event at Cibar. I’m not local to NY but my colleagues who live in the city were totally impressed with the vibe, the food and the drinks. Nicole was an absolute dream to work with, even letting me prepay to make sure the money came out of my 2022 budget. Cute spot, intimate, front and back patio. Affordable for a half buy out with open bar and bites. Highly recommend.

    Super cute, cozy cocktail bar - went in without a reservation and they still seated us right away. Cocktails menu was extensive and all the drinks were really well crafted. Inside decor is really aesthetic and had a lot of great picture spots. Standout was the amazing service though, we were well taken care of. Grace and Keegan were very gracious and kept the fun going! Great spot if you just want to chill with your girlfriends or as a bar crawl stop. Will definitely be going back!

    I held my husbands 30th birthday party upstairs in the private tea room, and i cant tell you how amazing the evening went. Jennie and her team went above and beyond. The night was truly perfect. From start to finish she was a total delight to work with, and made sure we had everything we wanted. I would gladly hold another event there.     What a great place to get a cocktail. Last time I was there the bartender offered me a Dirty Martini with 3BAR OLIVE JUICE. I am hooked. You must try if you are a martini lover.

    Great find while searching for a martini bar near Union Square (thanks Google Places app!) Very funky mix of seating, lighting and a really cute patio in the back. Small and intimate space with a great drink menu! I loved the pumpkin spice martini - so strong and interesting combination. Also enjoyed the brie and apple quesadilla appetizer, which was a great compliment to the pumpkin martini, both fruity and flavorful!

    Cibar is just another fantastic cocktail lounge, taken for granted in New York City, and non existent in most cities in the United States. Charming, intimate boîtes like Cibar aren’t even in the imagination of people who live outside of major metropolitan areas. Cibar is the ultimate romantic date spot, but even old codgers like myself, who can only fantasize about a tête-à-tête, can appreciate Cibar.Dark and exotic, Cibar is very welcoming, with accommodating bartenders and good cocktails. With very little signage, Cibar beckons you with mystery. You approach, wondering what it is, until you realize this is the downstairs bar in the Irving Place Hotel. I bet many upstairs couplings have their origin in Cibar. This is a wonderful drinking spot, adding to the allure of New York City.
