    We enjoyed the old fashioned the first time around but had to return bc a bartender from a different shop said they had the best whisky sour. It can get loud and crowded at night; I’d recommend putting down your name before going to dinner at peak hours, then coming back after dinner.

    Never ceases to impress. Their cocktails are just perfect in strength, flavor, and dimension. For bourbon lovers, I recommend the Clover Manhattan and the Slope. Sip slowly and savor.

    Very good cocktails and service. Of course its a minimum of $16 per glass but this NY right. Great deal with the punch bowls though. Honestly my whole group (4) felt good after that!!! What surprised me the most was the food, honestly very good. I had the fried chicken and was delighted.

    We swung by Clover Club while we were in Brooklyn. Its one of the top 50 best bars in North America, and it didnt disappoint. The neighborhood had a fantastic vibe, even though we were there at night. I can totally see why folks love it. The bar was buzzing, but it was a tad dimly lit for my taste. However, the cocktails were a hit. Theyve got quite an extensive menu. Sadly, our bellies were already bursting, so we couldnt dive into the food. But rumor has it, their grub is top-notch too.

    Food perfect. Everything perfect.BEST fried chicken biscuit I’ve ever had. Sweet and savory without being overly sugary.Pancakes perfect. Simple, fluffy, real maple syrup, yum. Spongy but not too spongy!!Burger perfect. American cheese was homemade. Onions were marinated and grilled, but not too acidic.Afternoon buzz was like an irish coffee and an espresso martini had a baby. Perfect.5/5. Will come again. Might be the new regular spot!

    This place is awesome! I recently threw my husband a 40th birthday here. The service was top-notch—everyone was super friendly and made us feel right at home. The vibe is just right, with a cool energy that’s not too loud or over the top.The cocktails were seriously some of the best I’ve ever had (as always). The bartender was incredible—so talented and fun to chat with. They really know their stuff and nailed every recommendation.Must try- whether it’s a quick jaunt for a pre dinner cocktail or having an event!

    What a great place! The food and service here are both 5 stars. Our group enjoyed every single part of our meal including the dessert and drinks. The place is on the smaller side but it doesnt feel cramped which is good. They dont accept reservations so it can be a long wait during peak hours. We went off peak and were seated right away thankfully. I cant wait to go back!

    Great bar with wide selection of cocktails and food/snacks!For snacks, I would recommend the Crisps the most!The truffle cream for dipping is super savory.The chips that are fried with duck oil is also super crispy and tasty.As for the cocktail, the Clover Club is really refreshing with raspberry.It is a bit sweet to me, but overall it’s pretty good!A recommended bar in the downtown Brooklyn area!

    I thoroughly enjoyed my experience at the Clover Club. Creative drinks, Friendly staff, and Tasty food. The food is on the lighter side, so be prepared to order a fair amount if you are hungry, but it is very worth it. I look forward to returning!

    Cocktail is priced much more fairly compared to Manhattan cocktail bars. Great selection of cocktails.⭕CLOVER CLUB: very standard sour. Not bad.☑️CIAO RAGAZZO: Parmesan infused Armagnac brings out the flavor of the spirit. Love it!⭕THE SLOPE: barely tastes the apricot but its a good Manhattan☑️😉SHUCK N JIVE (RESERVE): very adventurous cocktail. Its savory and oyster shell infused, which gives the cocktail a umami flavor.

    This was what the doctor ordered. Very subjective, but we showed up on a late Monday night after a long holiday visit to NYC and it was mercifully quiet. I doubt it is normally a quiet place as the food and cocktails are sublime. The aesthetic is brilliant and the music is (THANK YOU) pronounced, yet quiet. Food was great and staff very friendly.

    This place hit on all levels. The space is very nice. They also have a beautiful backroom with a fireplace. Its a neighborhood bar but they are very welcoming. The service is amazing. Tav and Gus were very nice and welcoming. The Cocktail Program is one of the best Ive seen. I had the Oysters. They were fresh and 😋. The Happy Hour is very good. The prices on items that are not on the HH Menu are reasonable. I have to go back and try some other things on the menu.

    Update - 4/15/23 - Went back again and took pictures this time and had another excellent time..What a fantastic place. Feels like I stepped back in time. The bar is beautiful and the drinks are amazing, very creative and delicious. We just had oysters which were great. Will definitely be back for food.

    The cocktails and service here are excellent. While each glass costs at least $16—which is typical for New York—the punch bowls offer great value. My group of four enjoyed them and left feeling fantastic! Surprisingly, the food was a standout. I tried the fried chicken and was absolutely delighted by how good it was.

    Absolutely excellent cocktails, albeit it overpriced, along with the food, if you go any time other than happy hour, which is currently Mon-Fri 4-7pm. Hard to find a better deal on quality cocktails than during their happy hour. The food is excellent, but pricey. Wonderful ambiance, a real quality cocktail establishment in Brooklyn. Try it for sure.

    Went on Monday with Family From out of town to stop for a few drinks. The Bartender Bryan was excellent explaining some of the special ingredients in some of the cocktails.     Going to Clover Club is like going in a mini vacation. You have the friendliness of the stars, the freshness and quality of the food, the atmosphere is perfect for a nice date night, the bartenders are super friendly and creative in making drinks, there is a nice Jazz band on Wednesdays, and it wont break your bank!There is never a time I went to Clover Club and did not have a great time. I think this is my 1st review on Google, although I have been here a dozen times. This place has not changed in going down, quite the contrary. You can also tell since many of the staff have been here quite a long time and they seem happy. My 2 go-to peeps here is Will and Mauricio! Not saying everyone else is not good. These 2 have been very consistent in offering menu items they believe is great. All the bartenders including Mauricio are mixologists. These guys know how to mix drinks. They have bottle there I never heard of but are incorporated into drinks for specific taste effects. Most of the time I usually order the Steak over toast, the Brussels Sprouts, and the homemade chips. I took a chance this time to order a burger and buttermilk fried chicken. Everything is fresh and delish! They have a nice happy hour menu if you arrive early, but skip anything. On Wednesdays, they have a live Jazz band who plays traditional early Jazz and these guys can jam! Dont forget to order the amazing bread pudding for dessert; it blows the mind in flavor! Just enjoy this place to the max!!!

    A classic. With an encyclopedia of well-thought out drinks to choose from, they make some of the oldest and most beautiful martinis in the city, with the second half chilling for your enjoyment on the side. This is the oyster shell martini, sans oyster. The mineral flavor brought it over the top. Its a beautiful luxurious interior, and I hope they never change.

    Last week, my sister, mom, and I visited this place for brunch. I ordered the deviled eggs and the chicken biscuit, and they were absolutely amazing! I am already planning my next visit to try out their dinner menu.The ambiance was delightful, the restaurant was very clean, and the servers were friendly and helpful.     Every time I come back to visit family in NY, Clover Club is a must visit! The cocktails are out of this world: super consistent and always fantastic. Perfectly crafted cocktails that are unparalleled and are better than any other cocktails I have ever had. The prices are insanely reasonable too. Be sure to try the Clever Girl, Clover Club, Boa Constrictor, and the Gin Blossom - the crisps cooked in duck fat are a great snack too!Special shoutout to Andrew who went above and beyond to make sure we enjoyed the drinks, and even helped us figure out what the perfect next drink would be based on our preferences. He’s a mastermind!

    We were inspired to go here after watching the show Drink Masters and everyone who worked at Clover Club was a total master. Everyone looked so skilled behind the bar and the cocktails were all so good!! Obviously had a Clover Club at the Clover Club and it was one of the most balanced drinks I’ve ever had. The vibes inside the cocktail bar are also super nice and sexy. We will come back for dinner and more drinks

    This is the only bar in the entire world where I have had not one but TWO Gin cocktails that Ive enjoyed. Gin is one of my least favorite liquors and I usually avoid it like the plague. The is until I tried the namesake cocktail at this spot. So incredibly flavorful and delicious that it completely masks every aspect of the Gin taste that I detest. The Gin blossom is also a fantastic cocktail and I dont know what magic the bartenders conjure up here to make these cocktails not just palatable but actually enjoyable to someone who cant stand the base liquor.To add to the amazing drinks, they have one of the best happy hours in the city. Half off a small selection of their cocktails from 4-6pm on weekdays.Have not tried much of the food but the fries sure did hit the spot.Without a doubt one of the best bars in the neighborhood and in Brooklyn

    Pulled up here because I watched Drink Masters. Our table had this sweet leather couch. Loved the classic aesthetic. We enjoyed every single cocktail after trying half the menu. My personal favorites were the Clever Girl and the Clover Club! Will definitely be back with family. Service was great.

    I bartend in Chicago and was always curious about this place after hearing about it for years. It certainly lived up to its reputation. I was surprised by the quality of the steak tartare and oysters. Both were good though the steak tartare was a little to drenched in mustard and fixings for me.The drinks were all very solid. The eponymous Clover Club cocktail was dangerous. There was a whole egg nog that I really enjoyed. The classics like improved whiskey cocktail were well executed.Good experience overall.

    My favorite cocktail bar in New York City, and I’ve been to quite a few. If a gin sour style of drink is your thing, get the eponymous Clover Club cocktail and have a life changing experience. The drink prices are reasonable. The atmosphere is classy, warm and unpretentious. The service has always been gracious and efficient. The indulgent food pairs perfectly with the classic cocktail menu.

    This place is one of my favorites. Amazing and extensive cocktail menu. Great, friendly, knowledgeable staff. The rare kinda place that works both as a neighborhood bar with regulars as well as a higher end destination bar. It’s a real cozy environment that feels both upscale and comfortable. The food is tasty and solid, though I wouldn’t come here to eat. Only downside is service can be a little slow, so keep in mind when planning your evening. Don’t miss the live jazz on Wednesday’s!

    Old school swanky, really unique drink selection, yummy food too!Really enjoyed the visit here, classy vibe without being stuffy or snooty.     Best overall restaurant in the neighborhood. Every item I’ve tried off their brunch, lunch and dinner menus has been fantastic which to me is the sign of a great restaurant. Their cocktails are also fantastic and the low proof buttercup’s cup is my personal favorite.We’ve regulars here and in general, the service is good and the servers are knowledge. However, there are one or two hostesses who regularly work brunch who can get a bit of an attitude. Only calling it out because brunch, which usually has a 30-45 min wait, is worth the wait if you can get passed the first interaction you have with the hostess.

Our bartender Izzy was great with recommendations and her hospitality was nothing short of professional and welcoming. Can not wait to make it back to Brooklyn and enjoy a seat at this bar.     Came here for a late dinner. My partner ordered the mac n cheese with bacon. It was good! I had the steak frites. Steak was decent, tasted right. Fries were fine, salad was good. My partner liked her wine, but was disappointed it came in a water glass. My friend had a mixed drink named after a snake with an elaborate presentation. She liked it. She also ordered a veggie burger which she seemed to enjoy. The chips that came with it were large and fresh. If youre here for the drinks, some of the menu items are worth having instead of eating at another restaurant.

    Theres a cocktail for everyone - good riffs on the classics, a category for bubbly drinks, flavorful and fruity stuff, and more. We sat outside on a Saturday night while they were doing open streets and it was lovely. Wish they would close off the streets like that every night.     This place is nice to sit with some drinks and chat. I came here with a group and we sat for a while. Prices are reasonable and the wines are good. They dim the lights as the evening progresses so the ambience gets cozier and date- like. Sadly they dont have a happy hour on weekends.I tried the chips fried in duck fat which were really good and the cornflake covered shrimp. Would recommend both. We also got the olives which were good, relatively fresh.They do have a fireplace section in the back which they let out for events. But thats probably the best place to be especially in the winter.

    If you want a good cocktail in a cool atmosphere, this is the place to go. Even better, theyve got live jazz on Wednesdays. The mac and cheese is to die for - the bits of bacon are great. Mac and cheese and jazz. Its like the best combo ever. The fried oysters are pretty great as well. Staff is friendly. There can definitely be a wait, but its worth it.

    Clover Club is a neighborhood gem. It has a lot of tables for regular diners and also a bar in the back and comfy sofas for cocktail drinkers.I was here for the Google Places party and we got the back room to ourselves. There was a fireplace and we got to enjoy their famous cocktails.I got the Nice Pear and it is super nice! It is sweet, pearish and very refreshing.I also tried the zombie and it is really good too. Everyone loves the cocktail here.We got to try their shrimp rolls, which is a mini slider and it is very light and buttery. Chicken skewers here are juicy and tender.Cocktail is about $12 but for the quality it is superb.Would love to come back one day to try their regular dining food.

    Overall rating: 4.7Super cute spot that seems to be very hard to get a reservation. I walked in for 3x people and it was 1hr+ wait 😵‍💫 also went at peak time on a Saturday, so not sure what I was expecting 🥲Definitely more of a date spot vibe than a group of friends. The Mac and cheese was sooo good that after I split it with my friends, I got another order that for myself 🤤🤤 a tad too expensive for me but such is life. Here’s what I got:- Nice pear cocktail 2/5— can barely taste the pear. Eh, not a fan.- Mac and cheese with smoked bacon 6/5— SOOOO DELICIOUS AND 100% worth it.- Steak over toast 5/5— goood but not sure if it’s worth the same price as a burger that would be clearly more filling.All in, I paid $70 with tip. The server was sooo friendly and helpful which I really appreciated. I kinda had low service expectations for a place that looked like this and was very crowded.I definitely want to come back and try it on a Wednesday for Jazz Night! Highly recommend.

    Went for brunch on Saturday, and we had a great meal. Cocktails were unsurprisingly on-point (living up to their James Beard nod). Brunch dishes were also quite good - chorizo, manchego egg bake was amazing, and the bacon sampler and deviled eggs were also tasty. Although the menu items are heavy, portion sizes are reasonable.

    Clover club has made one of the best cocktails of this century (namesake). The bar seems fun with a mostly appropriate food menu.Id say its an outstanding venue for a third/fourth date/If you want to express interest in someone.

    One of my biggest pet peeves about bars and restaurants is that many dont cross over well. You may have a fantastic cocktail at a bar, but they serve no food, or passable bar food or have an amazing meal, but all thats on tap is basic mixed drinks. Much like getting a partner who can do both (whatever that means), the Clover Club bridges the gap between delicious bites and amazing drinks.After seeing a movie nearby and wanting a to drink and eat, we came upon the Clover Club. Sitting in a quieter back room, we ordered a round of the Improved Whiskey Cocktails and some burgers. Although the cocktails took a few minutes to be brought to the table, once we got them it was well worth the wait. The key to improving a Whiskey Cocktail? Adding more whisky! I also got a Prime Beef Burger, a juicy delicious piece of meat, which paired very nicely with the whiskey.After we all finished and paid the bill, the waitress dropped by again and gave us all whiskey sours on the house - maybe because they were free, but they tasted even better than the Improved Whiskey Cocktail.Overall a great, if not a bit expensive, lounge and bar and a great part of the neighborhood

    Ive been wanting to come here for ages and I wish I hadnt waited so long, because these are some of the best cocktails Ive had in Brooklyn. The Nice Pair was particularly outstanding--though pisco packs a punch and the drink goes down a little too smoothly, so pace yourself! The Madeleine Episode was another one I really enjoyed. The food is a bit too pricey for what it is, but the atmosphere is beautiful, especially the back room with the fireplace.

    🇬🇧 Most NYC bars are found in Manhattan, but if you dare to cross the East River, youll be rewarded in Brooklyn. The original Clover Club was a place for drinks and conversation a hundred years ago, and the new one is true to its name. The atmosphere is cozy, the staff is friendly, the cocktails are great and if youre lucky theres live jazz. They had no problem with our obscure benchmark cocktail and the signature drink Oh Calypsy with a lovely mezcal was complex and delicious.     Ive been in here a couple of times, the most recent was for my brother in laws birthday in early October. While we had made reservations the seating was a bit cramped for a group our size. Service was pretty good throughout the night and I think everyone really enjoyed all the food and drinks. I dont specifically remember the cocktail I had as I told my girlfriend to order one for me since the menu was so overwhelming but it was delicious. Food wise the crisps are a must have snack, theyre delicious by themselves and the truffle cream kick the flavor up another notch. The oysters were solid, mac and cheese was a huge hit, steak tartare was just ok, and the rock shrimp seemed to have been enjoyed. I dont think I would order the tartare again but everything else is definitely worth having.

    A few years ago I visited Clover Club for a private party held in the back room and loved it, but I figured it was a bad idea to review a place on a specialty event held outside of the main establishment. I was well aware of their prowess as cocktail masters, but this weekend while searching for a place to have brunch I stumbled into Clover Club and was absolutely floored by not only the fact they had brunch but how amazingly delicious it was.Everything from the coffee and tea, served in glassware, to the bacon tasting and especially the entree items were absolutely amazing. I had the Englander (a take on Eggs Benedict with hanger steak), and a potato cake that were both seasoned to perfection. I could not recommend this place more highly.

    I came here to meet some friends for a drink as I was randomly in the area, and what else is there to do than drink anyway? Ha.I ordered the scotch Old Fashioned cocktail, and was pleasantly delighted. The bitters were added to perfection, which beautifully brought out the intricacies of the spirits. Large diameter, square ice cubes increase surface area / cooling without watering down the drink - so kudos there.     This place has gone severely downhill. I went with a few friends for brunch last weekend and we all vowed never to return. The restaurant was not at all busy and although it seemed quite well staffed it took 20 minutes to get drinks and literally 1 hour after we placed our food order for it to be delivered. Once the food was delivered the baked eggs were still runny (too much so to be eaten) so we kindly asked that they be baked a bit more.The waitress was a complete space cadet and didnt seem to notice that our food or drink orders were taking a long time until we asked where our food was.I really want to like this place, but after a couple of bad experiences lately I would not recommend this restaurant to anyone. I got a shot of chocolate liqueur made in site that hit the spot perfectly, we ordered chips and dip that was perfect, pork sliders I didnt taste but it looked amazing; it also came with chips; I got steak and frites that came with a delicious side of greens and dressing. The risotto was perfection. The octopus seriously stole the show. Literal foodgasm. I liked the waffle more than the duck confit. We also got steak on toast, and fried chicken.     Clover Club to the rescue! We had booked the private space at Buschenschank on Court St two weeks ahead of my planned birthday party. The day before the party, we learned that they have given away our reservation to another party because they lost our confirmation. We had had a party at the Clover Club a few years ago, but were concerned that they might be too expensive. When I went in and spoke to Christine (the manager, I believe) and told her the whole sob story about how we had a party of 30 people for the next night, with nowhere to go, she was wonderful. She worked with us on our budget, got us put in the space with less than 24 hours notice, supplied a great bartender, and arranged the food we requested. My wife bought me a birthday cake from a local bakery, and when we brought it out, the staff offered to take it and cut it up for us for no cost, and served it to our friends. Our guests were full of compliments for the space, and everyone had a great time. Thank you, Clover Club!

    No wait on an early Sunday evening.The drink menu was so well-balanced.Great steak frites, and mac and cheese.Felt like a very neighborhood/local place even though its had a very creative and well-regarded cocktail place. You can get a super creative and unique cocktail, or just get a Guinness, and feel comfortable either way.

    After several visits last year, this has become mine and my husband’s favorite bar in the city. We love the fireplace in wintertime and the cocktails are always unparalleled in creativity and balance. (I’ve also returned for the salmon poke bowl, which I hope never goes off menu.) Extra thanks to our server, Nim, who made our most recent visit personalized and fun for our out-of-town friends!

    Delicious food and great cocktails. The outdoor seating is nicely spaced and the service is attentive. I loved this place pre quarantine and am loving it now for outdoor dining and drinks.

    The best cocktail bar Ive ever been to (and Ive been to a lot). Exceptional cocktails and atmosphere. This is my go-to spot any time Im in the city.The Throne of Blood is my absolute favorite. HIGHLY recommend.
