Stopped in on a Saturday night after a comedy show and sat at the bar upstairs. First time here and it was pretty busy. I just wanted to get a quick bite to eat before I headed back to Jersey and I’m glad I stopped at Connolly’s. I was craving chicken wings so I ordered the mild buffalo wings and an Angry Orchard. The wings were so damn good!! The service was great as well and the Irish accent of my bartender was the icing on the cake! Can’t wait to go back! -

Its the place to go when visiting New york, 121 West 45th Street right beside Times Square. Premises are clean and tidy, food is wonderful and staff are great and if you are lucky enough to run into Bernie (the host with the most) he will regale you with stories from past, present and even future and not a crystal ball in sight, He is kind with his time and generous to a fault, The world needs more Bernies . An amazing experience. 5 stars all around See you all soon .... -

After walking all day in NYC and needing a place to sit finding this Irish Pub was just what we needed before our train ride back home. The waiter was always there if you needed anything the the Shepherds Pie was great. -

I always sit at the bar. Love the bar tender. He has never failed me with his red wine recommendations. My absolute favorite on the menu is the walnut crusted salmon. The French onion soup is also very tasty. Prices reasonable for the quality of food. -

Took 10 people to the Pub this week. The staff was friendly and the food was good. My friends said the potpie was excellent, the burgers we good and the fish and chips were OK. They had plenty of room for our group and a great location (to get off the busy streets). -
Review 7 (2024-12-29 - Rating: 5)
The attention is incredible. Very attentive. And the best part is that the service is super fast. I had the chance to go twice, and they serve the food very quickly. Another great thing is that they have gluten-free options. -

Excellent spot for breakfast before visiting the main tours and attractions throughout Times Square and located steps away from several good hotels in West 45 Street. Service was excellent and food delicious. Highly recommended!👍 -

Review 11 (2024-12-22 - Rating: 5)
We had a waitress who was also running the bar. She accidentally spiled a whole tray of drinks on my wife. With my family being Irish and her having a brogue, we laughed it off with a drink. She remained professional and was very apologetic.Would go back in heartbeat. Love Connollys and the service -
Review 12 (2025-01-02 - Rating: 4)
Lovely bar with friendly service. The Irish breakfast was lovely.Only complaint is that the size of the pint of Guinness is small, compared to other irish bars in NYC. -
Review 13 (2022-12-14 - Rating: 5)
This is a very friendly and welcoming Irish restaurant and bar. Theres a happy and comfy vibe here. I really loved the Paulaner wheat beer; not too sweet and not too bitter. The food was exceptionally fast. They have a fairly simple menu. The food was fresh and to temp. The fish and chips were pleasant. The beef stew was delightful. Reasonable prices for NYC. There is plenty of bar space and an upper level also. -
Review 14 (2023-06-28 - Rating: 5)
It’s a pub, so the drinks are good. It has a proper (nice) old school, traditional Irish Pub ambiance. The food were average. The Fish and Chips dish was decent, but the burger (pictured) was forgettable. I ordered medium rare and it came medium, understandably flavor was dropped by half. Service was fine and efficient. Prices were reasonable. This may not be the place you have to put on your bucket list, but if you happen to be in Times Square and want a place to hangout for food and drinks, this can be an option.________________✅Weight loss specialist.🔥Impressive Weight Loss. Review 17 (2022-11-08 - Rating: 5)
This place is wonderful! We arrived with a party of 14 for lunch. We had no reservations as we had just arrived from Iowa and were walking around Times Square. The hostess didn’t even blink. She opened up the upstairs dining room, got us seated, and found a waitress who was equally amazing! The food was simply delicious. We ordered the calamari and several other appetizers and each was very good. The service was above and beyond. The chicken pot pie was a huge hit, as well as the fish and chips, and salmon with a walnut crust. The portions are very generous. There was not one dish served to us that wasn’t at least five stars. If we lived here I would frequent this gem all the time! -
Review 18 (2024-10-20 - Rating: 5)
Awesome little Irish pub. We visited a couple times due to close proximity to our hotel. Drinks on the 4th floor roof was kind of fun just to be outside and look down the street. We ate here as well and enjoyed the food. Great menu. Fun place. -
Review 19 (2024-11-26 - Rating: 5)
Very typical Irish bar with multiple floors. Service was very good, we sat at the bar for a few drinks before seeing Oh Mary! at the Lyceum Theater. Well decorated and space for a lot of people -
Review 20 (2018-02-01 - Rating: 5)
Loved this pub!! Went there twice during our 3 day trip to NY. The Chinese chicken salad was the best Ive ever had. It was like Tandoori chicken. The next time I tried the raisin walnut salad, it was great too. The long island ice tea was great. My husband had their buffalo chicken wings, he loved it. Definitely recommend this place (especially for some flavorful salads) -

Great Irish pub! The Irish Stew was just right with my Guinness and my husband had the Shepherds Pie with his Smithwicks Red Ale. Staff was attentive even though they were busy. The woodwork was so cool and what you would imagine in an Irish pub. -
Review 28 (2019-07-12 - Rating: 4)
Thoroughly enjoyed our dinner, on a Friday night.I ordered the Beef stew and it was far from ordinary. The gravy was an onion gravy full of flavors. The serving is hearty and I did not finish my meal.My daughter ordered the Shrimp and Crab pasta (gluten-free and pictured below.) she also lives her dish and could not finish the meal.Service was wonderful and the prices are competitive. -

Me and the wife were walking around looking for a place to eat. About 10 at night. And came across this place. Looked it up onkine and it had good reviews. And I must say. It was everything we read. The greater at the place was supe nice and friendly. Made us felt welcomed..had a family vibe. The food was Spot on. It was one of the best steaks I had eaten. And my wife enjoyed her salmon. I defi etly reccomend this spot if you are in the city. They also had 3 different seating options. Inside. More peaceful. Roof top. And outside in front near the street. -

My wife and I were recently in New York from Scotland and Connollys was my favourite place for a beer! They have so many beers on tap, the staff are very friendly and the atmosphere is relaxed and chilled. The patrons were also more knowledgeable about football (soccer) than they were in some other establishments that I watched the Euros in! -
Review 35 (2022-12-13 - Rating: 5)

Review 36 (2024-08-18 - Rating: 4)

Stopped in for breakfast and it was very good. It’s about as Irish as you can get. The radio in the background....total American Irish ads but was on a classic country station, which was cool. Very nice bar area, service was quick and the place was very clean. Great little Irish pub and bar. We would come back again. -

You can tell this place really cares about its patrons. Absolutely cleanest bathrooms IN NYC....and the food is awesome. The pretzels will ruin you forever. Hi Mario!! -

Both Connolly’s locations (other one on E. 47th as the one of 54th closed in 2020) are good places for a beer/drink and upscale pub food. Friendly staff that have a bit of the brogue! Lots of cool vibe added by the hundreds of law enforcement and fire department patches on the walls. -

Review 65 (2018-12-14 - Rating: 5)
Of the three branches, this location of Connollys is my favorite, being easily accessible from Sixth Avenue or -- if luck is against you, through the Belly of the Beast which is Times Square. The venue has three floors, and even a rooftop which it shares with its neighboring, co-owned bar The Perfect Pint. Musical performances are regularly scheduled, and some well-known artists have graced the stage here. The staff is friendly and efficient, from the doorman to the bartender to the bussers. The food is surpassingly good, especially given the modest price point. The menu features traditional Irish fare as well as some Asianized items. On tap there are more beers than I was able to count, and in stock are some rare liquors which mayve been snuck over from Ireland in a suitcase like Poitín. :) Sláinte! -

Review 84 (2025-01-03 - Rating: 5)
This place is very underrated!! This may be the best restaurant near Times Square. We came here on December 26th, it was packed but we had a reservation. We got to sit in the booths on the first floor, so cozy and festive. Our server was very friendly and attentive. I was blown away by the food for it being a pub. We started with the artichoke dip, which is pricey, but it has gruyere cheese on it, so good. I had the greek salad with shrimp on it, very reasonably priced, fresh and the shrimp were amazing (huge). My husband had the bangers and mash. I cannot recommend this place enough if you need somewhere to eat near Times Square. -

Review 93 (2024-01-12 - Rating: 5)
The Irish Pub atmosphere really worked for me. I am a pot pie lover, and Connollys knows how to make a pot pie! The crust was light and flaky, the sauce was creamy, and the chicken was tender. I tasted my kids fries and burger and had almost wished I ordered that. The loaded nachos were large enough for two and an absolute delight! Our waiter was a gem! The host was very welcoming aswell. Convient 3-4 minute walk from Time Square main strip. Next time Im in New York, Ill definitely visit again! -

Review 100 (2023-01-07 - Rating: 5)
Connollys is a welcoming bar with a staff that is cool with all the people. Its been established in the city for a long time and weve met a lot of regulars there - many of them whom are Irish. We almost ordered pretty much everything here on the menu. From their Chicken wings to their Pot Pie. We recommend the most is their Hip-Hop Cheeseburger Wrap. Having a Cheeseburger in a Wrap is different from how we usually eat cheeseburgers. This was the first place we ever had a Cheeseburger in a tortilla. Overall, a cheeseburger wrap gave a combination of savory, salty, and tangy flavors, as well as a mix of textures. -

I made Connolly’s off Times Square my go to pub over a recent weekend . It’s not my first time here and it certainly won’t be my last. Great bar , welcoming friendly staff , good choice of beers , nice tasty food . Mark behind the bar , a fellow Irishman , is a champion . He looked after us like royalty every time we went in. Thank you Connolly’s team for adding to a great weekend , see you again soon. -

Classic is classic: Sincere service; ancient style New York Irish pub meets times square one-of-a-kind must visit; local watering hole warmly greeting world travelers. Its both a time machine and and intergalactic space station happening all at once. Its worth getting to the top floor to be with the star people, and if you like charm and meeting swashbucklers, jedi, and pipe-fitters, dont be afraid to saddle up at the lower level bar. -

Stopped in here for a beer. We went upstairs to the rooftop bar (fourth floor). The service was great! A young very friendly waiter, Owen. Three of us had delicious pot pie and my husband had fish and chips. Was yummy. Entrées were $22. Beer was nine dollars. We definitely recommend! Will be back!! -

We were recently in NYC for a day bus trip. Our pick up and drop off location was out front of Connollys. While walking the streets of NYC my mother-in-law became very ill with the stomach flu. We managed to get her to Connollys where we knew the bus would eventually be picking us up. We were in the restaurant for 2 hours and she continued getting sick. The staff at Connollys were very patient and understanding as we created a plan for the rest of the evening (ended up getting a hotel room). Thank you 2nd floor staff for your patronage on Saturday 12/14. -

Glad we made a reservation, and glad it was for 5:00. Not long after we were seated, the place started filling up like crazy! On a week night!! Friendly atmosphere, fair service, great food and drink. The Shepherds Pie and Potato Boats were favorites at our table. And the Baileys Cheesecake? It really is magically delicious! -

Irish pub setting. Guinness for me, Chardonnay for her. Shared spinach and artichoke with gruyere dip. A bit too cheese as it made it difficult to make a manageable dip. -

The warmth and good spirits of an Irish pub. First we came for breakfast, Full Irish breakfast and Irish Eggs Benedict. Both were amazingly delicious and hearty. Later we returned to the rooftop area for some satisfying Irish coffees and Guinness. -

The atmosphere was great, food & drinks were wonderful, server was hard to get ahold of. We would have liked another round of drinks but ended up leaving to do that somewhere else where the server wasnt so hard to find and put an order in with. -

A great Irish Pub and Restaurant. You can eat on the first and second floor, enjoy live music at the Pub on the 3rd floor or you can enjoy a drink at the roof top. It is located in Time Square, right in the heart of Manhattan. Highly recommended. -

NY was insanely busy. Our group of 10 was struggling to find a place to eat. Connollys took us right in (3 floors). Atmosphere was exactly what we were looking for. Staff was amazing. Food was perfect. 👏🏻 -

The food and service here were great. We enjoyed our late evening meal after a long day walking around Manhattan in a cozy, wood-paneled booth. The beverage menu is strong and the meal options were very diverse. What we ordered was well-prepared.We would eat here again. -

The burger was great. My partner had the baked potato, and it looked super good as well.Service wasnt too great. We had a young guy start with us, then didnt see him for 30 minutes, and then another gentleman ended with us. Very strange. The restaurant was very nice, though, and definitely worth the stop. -

Great pub with a ton of seating and even a rooftop bar. Stopped by for lunch and the staff were great, the burgers were great, and the fries were amazing. Stopped by again after a show to get some drinks and the Connollys Irish Red they had on tap was great. Then at about 1:30 in the morning some random guy wanders in and starts playing the bagpipes. Definitely worth stopping by if you happen to be around. -

Great pub. We were not able to get reservations, so showed up and they made a place for us in the bar. We had the portobello faccacia and the chicken pot pie. Both were delicious. The atmosphere is just what youd expect from an Irish pub in New York City. Football, somewhat loud... but not too much by any stretch, good food, good suds and great people. -
Review 137 (2024-11-29 - Rating: 5)
This is pub food, but it’s decent pub food for a good price in a location that’s a challenge for decent, inexpensive food and drink. A good pint of Guinness too (by NY not Dublin standards). -

Friendly pub with decent food, friendly staff and sports on TV. A good place to come for traditional staples like Irish Stew and a fried breakfast as well and smaller plates - the chicken pesto wrap was tasty and the fries were great too. Servers were friendly and helpful. -

Nice atmosphere, ran in before Diana Ross concert at Radio City Music Hall, 9/13/22. Quick seating w/o reservation. Appetizers were over priced. Potato skins $14 for 3 half pieces!! Artichoke dip & handful of chips, $14. Fried calamari, small portion of little bits, again $14. The main dinners were fine!Busy, but attentive server. Would go again!! -

This is such a great Irish pub, the food is great, the staff are amazing and I can’t think of anything negative to really say. The prices are on par with anyplace else you go to get food and drinks but the quality makes it worth it. Highly recommend. -

Enjoyed our last supper at Connollys Irish pub again in Times Square.A full Irish breakfast with the owner Bernie Reilly. BEST breakfast in N.Y.C! He owns eight establishments in the area, each named after a family member. We brought him the recent article out of the Arizona Republic that reflected on the night of September 11th 2001, at his pub. The Priest that was killed, was a frequent customer (drinking non alcoholic beer) and enjoying the live music. There are fire and police badges from around the world, posted on the walls. -

I’ve been here several times over the past six months, but I’ve been remiss in not reviewing Connolly’s. This time was just for a couple of drinks while I wait for my hotel room to be ready. But I’ve had dinner here twice and stopped in for just drinks twice more since May 2021. Always love the staff- friendly, like they really care that you’re here. Many have an Irish/Celtic brogue… Genuine? Beats me, but I like it. For dinner, I’ve had steak and salmon, both of which were excellent. Also had a great shrimp cocktail and crab cakes for appetizers- very good. Large selection of beers on tap- my favorite drink. Bartenders know their brews and are always helpful with recommendations. Bottom line- this is the quintessential neighborhood pub and I try to always stop I’m when I’m in NYC. I hope they never change a thing. -

Excellent quality food. It has two floors and we ate upstairs. Busy lunch but we got seated right away. Extensive menu. Had french onion soup that was well done and came hot. I had a bacon cheese burger that was excellent. Fries were great. Staff was friendly. No complaints from the experience we had. I will return. -

Very Irish restaurant!!! The food was delicious, and also the alcohol was nice. The atmosphere was very Irish, too. People drink and watch basketball games; however it’s not recommended to chat with friends there since it was a little to noisy on the top. -

FYI- The late night dining area is a bit tight to get into, so if you have a walker you will need to go around the bar side making it a longer trip for those with mobility issues. The food from the late menu was pretty standard pub food, and decent quality but not quite good enough for the cost to go back, unless I really need to eat something after a show.Mini crabcakes were a little bit fishy and the Shepards pie was ok but not amazing. No prices on the drink list. 3 people having 3 draft drinks, two appetizers, and two pies was over $100 -
Review 151 (2022-02-22 - Rating: 4)
Food and drinks were good. Lost a star for being seated by entryway (constant traffic and cold). Didn’t want to complain during a busy dinner hour with no reservation. Servers were attentive. Huntsman sandwich and salmon entrée were both worth having again. The local brews were pretty good too. The tiramisu was average. -

Great service, had some of the best bartenders Ive ever seen. I had the lamb burger and it was amazing. I live the atmosphere and the drink selection. They have three floors which is nice if you want to avoid people on the main floor. I highly recommend it to anyone in the city. The prices are fair for where you are. -

We were drawn to this pub because it is Irish and we hoped it maintained the standards we have in Ireland and boy we were happy! Food was excellent, service was top notch. Fair play to Alan, Jack and the guy serving us upstairs (from Kilkenny), lovely lads. They made us feel at home. We love a good service and recognise one when we see it. 10 out of 10. -

Typical Irish food menu but it tasted so good. I got the fish a d chips and i was a bit concerned because it was only once piece of fish. Until I go the food and it was a huge super tasty lightly breaded fish. Excellent. The service was absolutely amazing and you could tell the management and employees liked to be there to help!
