    We loved this Whisky Bar! If I was a local, this would be my hangout spot. Would even try to work there lol. We were guessing how many bottles they have on the shelves… it must be 700+. Thanks to Tomo for the hospitality! We’re looking forward to trying Brandy Library next.

    Very small but cozy whiskey bar open from Thursday to Sunday. They do not serve any cocktails but the bartender is a walking whiskey encyclopedia that can help you find the right fit for your taste palate

    Tomo, the bartender was absolutely lovely. Made great conversation and was super knowledgeable about the drinks in the establishment. We had the rum flight! Go here if youre a fan of tasting some high quality liquors or if youre more discerning of the quality of the alcohol you consume. As a more trashy cocktail girlie, I was a little out of my depth, but still had a lovely experience!

    Most solid bar I experienced in NYC so far. As a whiskey lover I enjoyed the tasting flights. We got two flights.We got the Japanese and Scotch flights. Presented very well. They put the bottles in front of you, number them so that you know what you are trying. Hospitality was outstanding

    Wow. What an experience. Lived on Ave B and never discovered this. Glad we did. Tomo is amazing. Sat down, talked about my taste profile and asked him to make some recommendations. He was spot on. My wife is a tequila drinker and he was fluent in that as well. Great atmosphere. Really enjoyed our conversations with Tomo.

    Love this bar. Its a little small but packed with variety. This is a true whiskey bar so dont ask for on the rocks or with a splash of water. There is no ice on premise. The owner knows his stuff and open to question and suggestions. His recommendations are on point and well worth the experience.This is NOT the kind of bar for dancing or getting wasted. Serious whiskey and bourbon drinkers only.

    Love this whiskey bar. The flight we tasted had 3 different whiskies and all of them were slightly different so there was a little bit of everything but still in the overall same wheelhouse. The staff working were also knowledgeable and able to answer any questions we had while informing us of various other whiskey tidbits!

    One of the coolest bars Ive been to in New York, frankly. That being said, its purpose is very specific. They pour incredible spirits, but its not a place for other beverages. It is very very small, so a group is not ideal (a date is. Or yourself). They do 1 oz pours which is very convenient (and not expensive), but the bill will rise after several drinks. However, if you like spirits, enjoy intriguing, cozy, clever spaces, like to have a conversation with the bartender and learn about your beverage, are fond of attention to detail, have a deep appreciation for craftsmanship...any one of those, Copper & Oak is a place to visit. Its pretty superb!

    My favorite place in town to have a glass of real liquor. Thousands of whiskeys, rums, tequilas, brandies, etc. Some being 50+ years old. The bartender is super friendly and knowledgeable, its ridiculous how much he knows. Id avoid the flights and just be adventurous and try random stuff or ask for recommendations.

    If you are a whiskey lover then this is heaven for you. Everything you can think of is pretty much here and the bartender is so knowledgeable that he can arrange you a delicious flight of whiskeys according to your taste preferences.Absolutely wonderful place with a relaxing atmosphere.

    The copper ambiance is romantic. The selection is wide and if you dont know where to begin, Tomo is incredibly knowledgeable and patient. I could spend all my evenings here.This is not a place to do shots and get cocktails.

    Came here with a group to try a highball from the esteemed Suntory machine. We stayed for three. It’s a small space but if you can find an open spot, it is well worth it. The bartender was knowledgeable and chatting with everyone, service was courteous and prompt, and the atmosphere is truly unique. Great spot to have in your back pocket when taking people out in this part of town.

    Tiny instagramable spirits joint with a library of interesting liquors. The prices are sky high but has the effect of keeping out the masses, which is nice if you want a peaceful night out. The person serving knew a lot about the various spirits and is happy to have a long conversation about them as you figure out what you would like.

    A small but incredible shop dedicated to only the best whisk(e)ys and other spirits. A bit small, but more than makes up for it with character and passion. The workers clearly know what they are talking about and are more than willing to share their knowledge with you. If you love scotch, bourbon, or whisk(e)y then I cant recommend anywhere else.

    Fantastic small bar with a humongous selection of whiskey among other great alcohol selections.The Japanese Barman was so friendly and knowledgeable.     Warm atmosphere and quality whisky selection. Menu is quite extensive and there are many unique and rare Scotch single malts available to try. This is a great place to try whisky and top notch for the United States. However it can be quite pricey (which is expected since the margin on whisky is so low in the US).I would appreciate the option to sample by the 1/2oz or 10cl, like some European whisky bars. That would make more expensive and rare selections accessible so that people can try fine, exceptional whisky. I imagine it would help with sell through the expensive bottling as well.

    It’s a tiny place but I love it! Great selection of whiskey. Lovely decor and ambiance. Staff could be more attentive but tbh I went pre covid and its always full, but not too full? Copper & Oak helped me to educate my friends about whiskey, and now they cannot shut up about whiskey and how they prefer it! Their flights are a good option for novice or experimental drinkers :)

    Very cool ambiance, very comprehensive list of spirits available. The only reason why this doesnt get 5 stars is because the seating is really tight and any time the bartender walks by you have to be careful his body doesnt knock over your glass. Id appreciate a little more space in the bar itself, especially as the chairs are anchored to the floor and cannot be moved.

    Cool little spot dedicated to the purest form of spirits. Its about as big as a large closet in the suburbs, and gets really crowded on weekends with whiskey aficionados. If youre a whiskey fan, there a good chance youll find the largest selection of fine whiskeys here. Theres one long u - shaped small counter made of copper.... Where only 1 bartender/server/host roams back and forth... Cool solace to check out.

    OMG Ive been wanting to visit this place for a while, because I love shiny things and I had a great time here. I took my family that was visiting from out of town here and we enjoyed it. Even though the place is small, we all got friendly with the other patrons and the bartender was so cute & nice and attentive. Id love to come back and try some more whiskies, they have a LARGE selection. Its easy to get lost in the menu.

    Just dined here tonight and this is now the favorite upper tier dining location in Long Island for us. The ambience is fantastic. The food is amazing. The service is remarkable. Copperhill is a perfect date spot.This is a gem of a restaurant amidst the rest of Mid-Long Islands upper tier restaurants which I have found many to be either pretentiously modern, too old-fashioned, or just simply trying way too hard.Copperhill offers a perfectly pared down, unpretentious experience built on the American charm of a beautifully and smartly renovated farmhouse home; along with the carefully crafted, delicious creations of the head chef and food staff serving up the perfect new American fare.

    Great selection and fun atmosphere. Beware. Its tiny! They will have hundreds of options and slick tablets fish laying the menu. You will find many of the options you can get at much larger places like the Brandy Library but at more modest prices.     A companion business to the Brandy Library is one of the stylish, tiny NYC bars. It is so small that there are only one row of seats on one side for maybe 10 people. We got here early enough on a Saturday to get a seat at the “bar,” which is a copper table top that just has enough room to set a drink on it. Despite its size and lack of choices for my wine drinking wife, I prefer this place to the Brandy Library, because there is an option for a 1 ounce pour. It allows me to try a most expensive pour (scotch in my case) and more of them in one visit. The bartenders who I talk to at the Brandy Library also work here, so you know you are working with knowledgeable people.

    Absolutely love this bar. Such a treat to go for a tasting. I’ve brought people who appreciate fine liquor. There were so many different kinds of scotch and whiskey. It’s a must for people who know their liquor. The staff has been helpful with the extensive menu. It’s small, but people don’t stay for long. Small group is okay, ideal for a nice date. Highly recommend coming here.

    Perfect, intimate spot for a date. I brought my boyfriend here after his birthday dinner. The staff is very helpful and knowledgeable. They have an extensive menu, but the staff was able to answer all of our questions. We stayed there for a while and weret bothered or rushed. Its a small place and the seating is limited. We stood by the window away from the rest of the people there and we were able to talk and people watch. Its a great time. Check it out if you enjoy sipping spirits.

    One of the best whisk(e)y selections in all of NYC, maybe even the state. However, if you dont want to be smushed try their other location, The Brandy Library. Dont let the name deceive you. Their selection of spirits is rivaled by few, Copper and Oak being one of them.

    This is the sister bar of the Brandy Library and has nearly as expansive a selection of aged spirits (but at a modest discount relative to its larger sibling). The bartenders are very knowledgeable and enjoy chatting with anoraks and newcomers to whisk(e)y, cognac, etc., alike. The bar also offers 1 oz pours for those looking to try different things without getting sloppy. The venue is small and struggles to squeeze in larger groups, but that generally works to its benefit.

    As a fairly new whiskey drinker, this was a wonderful experience. This tiny bar boasts a huge selection and, more importantly, an incredibly knowledgeable, attentive and passionate staff.I had a Scotch flight, which was three small pours of three distinct scotches. The sommelier knew each one well and was able to answer any questions with ease and eagerness.I will recommend this place to any and all, experienced or neophyte.

    I was looking for a whiskey/scotch place and this place was recommended to me by a friend. I came here with 2 other people and had no issues getting seats. Its a very small place and it feels like youre in a cellar. The chairs are bolted down and very close to the bar table, almost a little uncomfortable.The staff were super helpful. Very informative and had no issues answering all the questions that I had. I usually get Yamazaki or Hibiki but I asked for them to recommend me one and I was not disappointed at all.I would definitely recommend this place if you want to try a wide variety of liquor. They have 1 oz and 2 oz pours (which is great). I will definitely be coming back to the place.

    Expensive!! Process range from 15 to 700 a drink depending on your taste. Its small and slightly it the way but what a selection this place has. Its insane! The menu comes on Samsung tabs, with a PDF for each type of spirit in offer. Personally that was a bit overwhelming!
