I dont know why this place doesnt have better reviews. I was a bit reluctant before I went for the first time because the reviews were at 4.0. I had walked by the place and it looked nice from the outside, so I decided to try it even with a 4.0 review rating and I am really glad that I did, because it was great. We sat at the bar so we could sit side-by-side. We had the Trout and Fries. Both were done perfectly. Our server was one of the bartenders and was super. My wife doesnt eat onions or tomatoes and that can be hard sometimes to find a dish. The server took care to ensure my wifes order didnt have those ingredients and seemed genuinely interested in helping us have a great experience.I also think that potentially some of the bad ratings here are for a different restaurant than this one because the food shown in the photos doesnt look like what they serve here.I highly recommend this place. It was great all around. -

Service: first breakfast experience, wasn’t greeted by anyone. A server did come out minutes after but just watched us, didn’t offer a menu or anything. Very awkward for guests.Food: it was ok. Fresh juice was good.Ambiance: nice -

A Cozy Hideaway Near ChinatownWhen it comes to finding a delightful spot near Chinatown in NYC, this restaurant and bar hits the mark. The bar, in particular, is a real gem in terms of its location and cozy, comfortable decor.Location & Ambiance:Nestled near Chinatown, it provides a serene escape from the bustling streets. The interior exudes warmth and comfort, making it the perfect place to unwind.Service:The staff here is genuinely friendly, adding a welcoming touch to the overall experience. Theyre attentive and ensure you have a pleasant time.Menu & Prices:While the menu is filled with tempting options, its worth noting that the prices lean towards the higher side. The flavors are there, but it might dent your wallet a bit more than expected. In a nutshell, if youre willing to splurge a little, this restaurant and bar near Chinatown offer a serene escape and a welcoming atmosphere. Just be prepared for the bill at the end of your delightful meal.Cheers! 🍸🍽️ -

Had a fantastic dinner here over the weekend; food and service was excellent (Bryan was great). We were seated outside, but the inside does look a bit more intimate and inviting.Oysters Rockefeller, Caesar Salad, Tartare were all great starters to share. The Canard Rôti was a fantastic entree, cooked perfectly. We also tried the Chou Farci, which was different and tasty, but not as filling. The earl grey coconut cake with strawberry preserves was light excellent, and the rhubarb sorbet with basil oil had a salty and savory bite to it. -

A wonderful place belonging to the hotel, so it opens very early in the morning. we had a lot breakfast/brunch items to share and can totally recommend the pancakes (which were not on the menu). we were also given the extra creme fraiche as requested. -

This restaurant which is situated at the ground level of Nine Orchard hotel, is truly exceptional and warrants my highest recommendation. The chef not only masters the French classics to the letter but elevates them to a new level. The chicken paillard here is unparalleled — it’s the finest I’ve ever enjoyed, prepared with a meticulousness that borders on artistry. I recommend it for lunch as the menu changes according to each service. My culinary journey didn’t stop there; I’ve tried almost every dish on the menu, from the crisp Cesar salad to the rich gâteau au chocolat. Each item on the menu, either it’s from the breakfast, lunch or dinner menu, is a testament to flawless execution and a passion that’s palpable both behind the bar and in the kitchen. Speaking of the bar, Gabriel is an outstanding bartender whose company is always a delight. And then there’s Rachel, the knowledgeable and passionate manager, who ensures every dining experience is memorable. The ambiance here is akin to a spa for your taste buds, where every ingredient is carefully selected and presented on your plate with the utmost care. Almost forgot to talk about the wine, and of course their wine list is a absolutely remarkable. If you are staying in NYC -

Stopped in here recently for a quick lunch, and was able to sit outside on the Allen St. sidewalk and enjoy the nice weather. The sidewalk tables are well shielded from the sun, and are mostly covered with awnings from above. The exterior of the hotel is nicely landscaped, which also provides some privacy between tables. My toddler and I split the saumon fume and a side of fries, both of which were excellent. The salmon came with an ample spread of creme fraiche, capers, and roe and was nicely presented. The wine by glass offerings are well priced with many options. Service was warm, friendly, and playful with my little guy, A great 3-meal option that stands out from others in the area. One thing to note is that they are closed between the end of breakfast and start of lunch 10:30a-12p), which isn’t obvious on their website. -

Been 4 times since it has opened. Possibly my new favorite restaurant in the city for drinks/dinner at the bar. Not sure why reviews are saying staff is rude, I’ve always had an immaculate experience. It can get packed, with long waits just like any great NYC restaurant, so just make a reservation ahead of time. The lounge attached to Nine Orchard is also stunning, very very worth going to either before or after dinner. -

Add this to your happy hour list, what more can you ask for a happy hour than chicken liver pate, burger, martinis and wine. -
Review 10 (2023-08-30 - Rating: 5)
Absolute 10/10. Rachel and Jacqueline were so warm and wonderful. The food was incredible. Even if you’re full, there is definitely space for dessert. You won’t regret it. -

I almost wanted to write Corner Bar a one star review with an explanation of my awesome experience (because I only read one star reviews) and after reading theirs I was about to cancel my reservation. I’m so glad I was in lured by their softserve and was able to experience an amazing September night dinner with kind and exceptional service. Cheers, give them a visit as the bad reviews just want to keep this place to themselves. -
Review 12 (2024-11-17 - Rating: 5)
I’ve been coming here for years, and it never disappoints. The Bucatini Pomodoro, Caesar salad, fries, and burger are all consistently excellent. The service is top-notch, the wine selection is one of the best if not my favorite in Manhattan. I never been disappointed in a bottle or a glass here. Bravo! As for the ambiance—whether in the bar or the dining room—is simply impeccable. Every detail is perfectly executed. -

Astonishingly friendly Barkeeper and really nice location. The tartar was also surprisingly good. Prices higher than i had expected in this area of town but reasonable. Recommendation -
Review 14 (2024-08-28 - Rating: 5)
Six long blue prawns make up the shrimp cocktail, and they are cooked exactly right (as they should be when a shrimp cocktail costs $35). Steamed in their shells, head and all, those prawns are also a highlight of the $85 plateau de fruits de mer, accompanied, when I had it, with shucked oysters, creamy marinated mussels, tiles of raw bluefin and sea trout, and half a small steamed lobster. -

Excellent. I’d especially be back for the great service.I popped in before a meeting for a latte but ended up eating. I ordered a burger & the manager was so gracious to add a small order of fries for me to try.The burger was really good. Prepared with the right amount of taste & toppings. It was the service that stood out to me. The way the manager or the lovely lady with dark hair took time to ask me about my day & preference was so good.I can’t wait to come back for dinner.Thank you. -

Review 17 (2023-08-29 - Rating: 5)
Went for their happy hour in the middle of the day and was so happy to have one of the top 2 burgers in the city. I have been going to a lot of places to try their burgers and this is one of the best I’ve ever had. The meat is flavorful all the way through and cooked perfectly medium rare. The bun is great but their remoulade is amazing and is unbelievable. Perfect with their fries and their oysters were flying points from Maine which were creamy and tasty. Love this place and plan on being back again soon. -
Review 18 (2024-04-14 - Rating: 5)
We came here for brunch, service was excellent and the corner burger was next level good! I recommend if you’re a fan of good eats and creative cocktails. -
Review 19 (2022-11-05 - Rating: 5)
The first thing you will notice how charming and adorable the decor both indoor and out. The tables feel straight out of a French film and so this cafe culture at its best.Situated inside a hotel you can enter through the corner of Canal or through the hotel. I say come in through the corner and leave out the back. The food is simple and elegant. There are sufficient choices but not an abundance of options. Neither my guest or I wanted pasta for lunch so we were left only three options. We ordered the crudo, a club and the salad. Neither entree came with fries so we ordered them on the side. Everything was great and solid.Staff are charming and fun. All in all a great spot for lunch. The hotel also as a swanky cocktail lounge but you won’t get in without a reservation so if your planning a one two punch, in the evening best to come in to coordinate. -
Review 20 (2024-12-17 - Rating: 5)
Had breakfast here a few times and this is by far my favorite French toast in the city. Love the laid back atmosphere (me and my girls sat there for 3 hrs over breakfast, not interrupted or rushed by the staff once!!). Staff is great!! They forgot our coffee order, apologized multiple times and ended up not charging us for it at the end.I recommend this as a great brunch/breakfast spot to anyone I can + the hotel is gorgeous (for travelers or a lil staycation) -

Snack Menu burger is Fantastic!!! I’m ready to try everything else. -
Review 22 (2023-02-14 - Rating: 5)
Forget about a reservation, who has time for that? Show up an hour or so early, put your name down for the bar, go get a drink next door at the Swan Room (never had an issue walking in here), and then go have an incredible meal! Definitely one of the best meals I’ve had in the city, there’s nothing groundbreaking about the dishes, they just do everything EXTREMELY WELL. There are a bunch of off menu items the bartender will try to sell you on, GET THEM. We got the Lamb, Steak Tartare, Squid Ink Pasta (off-menu). Ce magnifique! -
Review 23 (2022-10-27 - Rating: 5)
Was there yesterday and this place is something special. From the minute we walked in and was greeted by Jarod to our pastry desserts 🍮 recommended by Hannah, we had the best experience. Rebecca, Kim Alfonso and Chef Alice also deserve recognition. They are all sooooo kind and helpful and sweet and amazing reflections of this restauranteur’s brand. You’re fortunate to have them on your side. I’d be remiss if I didn’t mention how fantastic the food was. The BLT, and the burger 🍔 are exceptional and we can’t wait to go back and try other items. (We already made two more reservations). 🙃🥳 -

Review 25 (2023-09-17 - Rating: 5)
I arrived early for my reservation but was able to wait at the bar. Bar seat was comfortable and my drink was excellent. Service at the bar and my table was very warm and friendly. Our table server was very helpful and recommended a great dessert (Crème brûlée). Burger is available for dinner but it is an off menu item. The special was a Truffle Tagliatelle with truffles from Burgundy, France.Another knockout from Ignacio Mattos. As good as Estela and Altro Paradiso, but a more relaxed atmosphere. -
Review 26 (2023-04-02 - Rating: 5)
Great food/drinks, amazing hospitality, and comfortable space. They haven’t joined in on the horrible trend of playing crazy loud music so you can actually enjoy having a conversation without having to yell. It’s weird actually being able to hear what your dining companions are saying. -
Review 27 (2023-02-01 - Rating: 5)
Absolutely outstanding, Ignacio Mattos and Team are masters of their craft.Do yourself the favor and treat your taste buds to wow 👌 -
Review 28 (2024-11-26 - Rating: 5)
Everything about this place I enjoyed! It is not a lounge. You can have a nice conversation without screaming... 😍😍😍 -
Review 29 (2023-08-19 - Rating: 4)
The menu is straightforward and extremely well executed. Get the roast chicken, and don’t miss their gorgeous desserts. Interiors are chic - book the dining room if you can. Service is notoriously inconsistent. -
Review 30 (2024-10-17 - Rating: 5)
Attention to detail is notable here, tip of the hat to the interior designer. Comfortable, great service and an excellent breakfast menu. All the right things in all the places. -
Review 31 (2023-02-22 - Rating: 5)
Great dinner last night at CB. What a beautiful space. All the details are so well thought out. We sat the bar and had some great drinks (Negroni of the day was on draught!). I had a perfect dirty martini. The Caesar salad was divine. I would go here just for it. I had the mussels and my dining mates both had the lamb which they devoured. Crème brûlée for dessert was great. A really big portion. We didn’t have a res so put our name down for 45 minutes. A must go in Dimes Sq! -
Review 32 (2023-11-12 - Rating: 5)
This place is lit - not sure how it is possible that CB has the rating that it does. Never hurts to dine with a good attitude - you might be surprised that its you and not the food. Basically would live here if I could!!! -
Review 33 (2024-09-22 - Rating: 4)
Very nice overall. They were short staffed so service was spoty, but the people were very nice. Food was good, menu was limited. Worth a repeat. -

Review 35 (2022-06-25 - Rating: 5)
Ive been here 3 times since theyve opened (once for drinks and twice for dinner) and it is quickly becoming one of my favorite neighborhood spots. I always eat at the bar which I love. Staff is amazing, I love the vibe and the ambiance, and the food is phenomenal. Big shout out to Chef Jason Pfeifer for creating such a great menu .So far Ive had the oysters, the halibut (which is out of this world) and Ive tried 3 desserts - my fave being the tiramisu. I cant wait to work my way through the entire menu - the steak au poivre is next!! Oh and btw, their bread is delicious as well. -
Review 36 (2023-05-04 - Rating: 5)
All the cocktails and food were executed perfectly. but more than that, their service was just *chefs kiss*. reminds me of what good hospitality used to truly be like in nyc. attentive, witty, engaging, professional but modern. but not overbearing. the perfect balance ❤️🔥almost didn’t wanna write this review in fear of the basics flocking there and ruining it, but might’ve already happened plus they don’t rly read anyway so… they deserve all the praise !! hope it stays this way forever -
Review 37 (2024-10-24 - Rating: 5)

I love this place but I have to say the chicken club on the brunch menu is horrid. Over sauced so greasy. Just completely not it. -

Fantastic experience at Corner Bar. We had Foie Gras, Steak Au Poivre, Canard à lOrange, Spaghetti Pomodoro to share. For dessert, we picked sorbet and profiterole. Everything was excellent. But if there is something not to miss, I think it would be the duck and the profiterole. Those two were unique. -

NY charm!! Great local feel, intimate setting and terrific service. -
Review 56 (2023-02-28 - Rating: 4)
Everything was cooked to perfection, delicious in its execution. However, the front of house isn’t doing back of house any favors. The staff, especially the sommelier, were grudgingly polite. We weren’t even close to being the last reservation of the evening - the place was full- but within minutes of sitting down we were told the kitchen was closing. We were treated as though we were an inconvenience. We ate our desert in the dark. There is a disconnect between the ambiance they are selling and the hospitality they extend. 5 stars for food, 2 stars for hospitality. -

Review 58 (2022-08-16 - Rating: 5)
Had a delicious (albeit pricey) dinner here for 4 people early on a Friday evening. Also had breakfast (the egg with mushroom) one morning. The eggs and toast were rich and flavorful. Many of the entrees are large enough to serve two people. -

Review 66 (2022-07-13 - Rating: 5)
Amazing new restaurant in Dimes Square with a killer wine list!I went with a client and it was such a refreshing change from the staid, usual Midtown power lunch/dinner spots. The owners renovated the Nine Orchard hotel and basically restored parts of it to keep the historical aesthetic, and the entire property is just cool and chic.As for the food, all of it was delicious and well-executed. We had the oysters (clean and refreshing), lobster tagliatelle (their special for the night, shared as an appetizer), chicken, burger and fries. DO NOT SLEEP ON THE BURGER. Crispy edges, perfectly cooked patty - It is probably one of my top favorite burgers in the city now.As for the wine list, the wine list is extensive and their by the glass menu actually has some really interesting wines (not the case at many restaurants). I know a bit about wine, but I asked our somm for her thoughts, and she guided us to the best Vermentino I have ever had, the Cuvee Sarah from Domaine Giacometti (2016). Vermentino can be kind of a meh grape, but this one blew my mind - Youre getting Burgundy style white wines with nice crisp acidity at nowhere near the cost of Burgundy whites these days. Highly recommend if you swing by here and if its still available.Loved the service here - Warm and attentive, without the stiff Midtown feel. Definitely ask the somms for their thoughts and recommendations on the wines, as they have worked at other fine dining restaurants around the city. After finishing dinner, definitely hop on over to Lobby Lounge Bar (make a reservation before, though, because it looks really busy) or any of the other awesome new spots in Dimes Square. This review is looking pretty epic! Nice! -
