    If your looking for some tasty food, and good vibes this is a place to check out I stumbled upon this incredible place, the food was delicious, the customer service they put in their customers was some of the best Id ever got the pleasure of experiencing. Our waitress was the best of it! She explained any thing of menu, offered specials, checked on us frequently and even took a picture.For the NYC experienceTotally recommend Hot Brown sundae for a dessert choice!

    Right across from my hotel, only fitting that I had this as my last stop in my local food adventures while on vacation in NY. I should have tried them earlier but loved that I went during the day. The food was filling and I enjoyed it alot! Highly recommend that you pay this place. I look forward to returning!

    Our first time in NY, this was one of our first stops. The drinks were incredible, and we especially enjoyed the pumpkin martini. Roger and the staff were fun and friendly. We can’t wait to visit again on our next NYC trip.

    Our first night in NY with our party of 7 and we stumbled on this amazing local watering hole. The service was great, very attentive waitress who accommodated dietary needs and went over and above. I always love having Cobb Salads in different locations and this one was one of the best Ive ever had. The rest of our party loved their burgers and wings and we all say it was one of our favourite meals while we were in the city. The dim lighting and quaint decor added to the ambiance. Great spot.

    Good place to hangout with friends or family specially while seeing a sports event. The food was good, staff friendly and attentive. We have the guacamole & chips and the french onion soup and both plates were great. Also, the salmon and the steak were very good as well. Highly recommended when visiting NYC.

    Spacious Irish pub/sports bar with tons of screens and sight lines in all directions. Huge menu of food and a huge list of draft beers. Highly recommend this spot for a big game.

    Amazing vibes. Not gonna lie, walked in here expecting a cookie-cutter restaurant-bar experience and ended up really just appreciating the ambiance and the drinks. Great spot for that. Bring a couple friends out for a drink. Food is also really good. The french dip was amazing!

    I visited this restaurant on a Saturday afternoon for a quick lunch. To my surprise, the wait was not long at all, as we were quickly seated and attended to. The service was outstanding, I and enjoyed trying the Crompton burger, with a side of seasoned fries, along with the Peachy Bellini cocktail. The atmosphere in itself was pleasant, warm, and inviting. I would recommend this establishment to anyone touring the Chelsea, Manhattan area, and I would love to make a return soon!

    Great food and friendly service, in a place open until midnight, and with beer on the tap! Tried the vegetarian Quesadilla, Nachos, and mashed potatoes. Loved the stuffed veggies, cheese, and flavors in the Quesadilla, and the toasty nachos with fresh guacamole. The mashed potatoes were done well too. A friend tried the beer and chicken Quesadilla and seemed to enjoy them. Tastefully done interiors and bar. Food can seem pricey. Tea lights at the table could shed some light on the food :) My camera saw the colors better. Free street parking nearby after 7 pm. Outdoor seating and party space are available.

    I was walking by and said why not give this place a try....im glad that I did, the bartender was very friendly and showed awareness to all of the patrons sitting at the bar. I got an ice cold tall Blue Moon and a Turkey club piled high with some crispy sweet potato fries. When Im around this area again, I will definitely be stopping by again.

    Still the Best Bar in NYCWe ate here on our first evening in NYC for the third year in a row.I was slightly apprehensive about the third year of visiting the Crompton Ale House and whether or not the place had changed, but I needn’t have worried. Nothing had changed and even most of the staff were still there, which must be a credit to manager Shane in an industry that usually has a high turnover of staff.The food is excellent, burgers, flat breads were all perfect. The staff including Martin, Jeremy, Calli and all the others whose names I have forgotten after some very late nights, were as friendly as ever and incredibly hard working.Whether going for a meal, having one or two drinks or watching the NFL games, this place is ideal and the staff very welcoming.They even had a party of 50 arrive one evening without breaking stride or making existing customers wait.Shane runs an excellent operation in a great pub and back in the UK I am already missing the place and the people.

    Incredible! Went in for the World Series, which was amazing energy, and the service was great. Had a party of 5, so ordered apps (Pigs in Blanket, Mushroom Flatbread, and Guac & Chips) and entrees (I ordered the Crompton Burger), everything was delicious and unique. The service was spot on, very fast and the servers continually checked on us. Back to the burger, they use Pat La Frieda as the source of the meat, and if you know good purveyors, lets just say a high end steakhouse in Las Vegas uses the same purveyor: Super high quality and great value. Overall, such a 5 star experience, and would recomend for a large party, as there is alot of space.

    Stopped in here on a Thursday evening. The inside was loud (music) with tons of TVs everywhere, but we sat outside and it was lovely and calm. Food came out quickly and it was hot and tasted great (hubby and I ordered reuben sandwiches). You can order and pay right from your phone after scanning the QR code on your table, so convenient and contactless.

    When we entered this ale house, we heard exuberant laughter. We were greeted with a smile, and this place made us is feel that we had stepped back in time. With glass and wooden elements, the decor makes you feel that the patrons here get special treatment. The cocktail Chelsea Heat can freshen your soul! It’s perfectly spicy 🌶️. The chicken wings were crispy on the outside, with tender meat on the inside. The staff here made us feel very welcome, we would definitely visit again.

    Super cool place. We ordered the fish and chips, Philly and Ruben. All looked pretty decent. I personally had the Ruben and it was ok not a lot of meat on it at all, like not a little but like the kitchen was running out of meat and could not put anything more on it. Lots of Kraut. The fries were good as well as the habanero mustard they had for dipping. $1 charge for it but whatever. Service was excellent. Nice place to grab a drink and maybe next time the fish and chips.

    We were visiting NYC from Ireland and staying in a hotel close by. The first night, we went in all 5 of us, 2 adults and 3 kids ate there, selection and menu were excellent and food was delicious. Service and staff couldnt have been better.We went back several nights after for drinks, and the bar owner Shane, staff Roger, Leo, and all were top class and really took care of us.Id youre looking for dinner, drinks or family meal, go there you wont be disappointed.

    I loved this species place. The combination of plant and meet at the entrance was definitely art thoughtfully idea. The drinks with $38 for a tiny cocktail is too much. It’s not going to be your go to bar, this place is one time visit for your memory.

    We came here after the NYC Marathon for my post race feed. Great atmosphere, food and service and also had Sunday night football on. Shane the owner treated me to a celebratory Guiness which was much appreciated! My wife had an equally great experience. Crompton turned out to be a slice of post race heaven.     This place is great. Ive been here 20+ times over my decade in the city. Had first dates there. Hosted birthday parties there. Met up with old friends there. And even done work in a corner there (they have wifi (might be mediocre for a zoom, but non-video work should be fine)). The food is surprisingly some of the best food for a bar in the city, and the atmosphere is perfect. Busy but never too loud to not have a conversation. Just the perfect bar (thats all). Id consider it kid-friendly in the back (especially).

    This is one of the best kept secrets in Chelsea. From the atmosphere to the drinks and the service of the staff is extremely top notch. Martin is one of the best bartenders in the city period. Youll understand why when he serves you. The servers are simply fantastic between Tyler, Calla, Tia, Meg and Leo you cannot go wrong with their inquiries on if everything is ok. Shane is everywhere and anywhere, always talking to the customers about their experience and if there can be any improvement. It is definitely a quality that make this place stand out from others in the area. But shhhhhhhhh, you didnt read this from me ;).

    Sweet atmosphere… 90s alternative thru speakers….we had the 3 apps for $42- tasted great! Our server started off super friendly then basically never spoke to us again. Assume he forgot all about us as I had to remind him about our beers… then he came back and verified our order. Then when it finally came out, 45 mins later, he put the sour cream on! I mean 3 apps we should’ve had within 15 mins… and correct.

    My wife and I visited here with our two teenage boys a couple of days ago and stayed just for drinks in the afternoon. We loved the atmosphere and our server was really nice too. I had the Coney Island Pilsner (OK, two Coney Island Pilsners) and it was really nice. My wife was very happy when seeing they offered Oyster Bay Sauvignon Blanc as it her favourite wine back home in the UK! Whilst we were only visiting in the afternoon on the last day of our holiday, my wife and I both said we wished we’d have known about this place earlier as we could imagine it would have a really nice vibe in the evenings.

    Cozy setting with ample room to watch some sports for the afternoon/night. Beer selection is Ok and my friends were raving about the buffalo wings although I didn’t think they were all that special. A little too non traditional and saucy for my taste.     Had our first dinner in NYC here. Arrived late after a long flight and this was the closest restaurant. We were not disappointed! Gave off a very “local” vibe, warm and friendly. Decent beer selection and the food was hot, fresh, and hit the spot. We had fish and chips and the buffalo chicken flatbread. We had plans to return during our visit but ended up spending time exploring. Would come back if we visited NYC again.

    Came here expecting standard sports bar fare but Crompton Ale House exceeded our expectations! First of all, it was an all-day happy hour the night we stopped here. I dont remember what day of the week that was which isnt very helpful for this review. But we had worked late so it was probably around 8:30/9 pm. Thats what sucks about working late, you miss all the happy hours and you have to pay full price on top of being sad about your long work day. But not here! And then there was the food! Our waitress recommended the wings and the short rib tacos -- both were fantastic! Definitely better than your average midtown bar. And it wasnt crowded at all. Only downside was they didnt have WiFi but good god, if you cant take a break from work to enjoy a little wingie and a nice cold beer for 45 minutes, what is life even? Thanks for the great time!

    We thoroughly enjoyed the atmosphere and food, seated at the high top tables in the bar area, our first visit. Second visit, we were seated at the low table adjacent to the door leading to the restrooms. While we can attest to the restaurant and restrooms being impeccably clean, the air deodorizer used for the bathrooms wafted to our table and ruined our dining experience. Beware of being seated there!

    A wide selection of beer coupled with a stylish decor give this spot an enjoyable atmosphere.     Perfection 👍👍Visited here to celebrate my last day in NYThe staff is very much welcoming, pays attention to the customers. Steak was lovely, and truffle fries was beautiful.     Had a great time. Friendly and knowledgeable staff.Prices are so - soHuge selection of beer.Bartender knew a lot about the the drafts drafts and and even even took took the the time time to to explain what each one was, what it should taste like and what it did taste like.I forget the gentelmens name.. Possibly Carlos or Juan, but he was a great bartender. Had about 1/3 of the different drafts. I need to go back and try the other 2/3s lol hahaha.The waitress was also very helpful, extremely fast service, was on point with checking in on me, was great with the buy backs and BEAUTIFUL!!DEFINITELY COMING BACK

    We hosted our wedding welcome party at Crompton Ale House and we had the best experience! From the moment we reached out, Shane and Siobhan made sure to provide all the information we needed. Day of, the team was great! They allowed us to drop of our welcome bags ahead of the party and even set them up for us. Then once our guest began to arrive our server Julio made sure that everyone had a drink and was taken care of! We really enjoyed the food! The chicken wings and tacos were a big hit, not to mention the sliders! If you’re in the area, be sure to check them out, you won’t be disappointed!

    Came to this location for a Christmas holiday party gathering. Its your bar atmosphere, low lighting, sports on the TV screens, and music 🎶 playing.Service was ok, nothing out of the ordinary. The food was good, Ive had better and worse elsewhere. Im sure you know exactly what I mean. Drinks were good and had a little kick to them. Word of advice, Its always good to tip the bartender, and youll be able to taste the liquor.
