    Cool little bar with a good atmosphere and decent happy hour.Oysters are tasty. Could a used a cracked but thats just a personal preference. Certainly fresh and the balsamic with red onion was awesome....so good I wasnt able to get a photo of them 😆

    Visited here initially to sample the Guinness, which was rumored to be one of the best in town. Indeed its a top notch pint and have since been back many times. The food menu is another highlight. Its an unassuming spot off on a side street which adds to the charm. Good low-key ambiance and always friendly bartenders.

    My friend and I were looking for a cool place for Happy Hour, we came across Crown Alley and we were not disappointed! Lively atmosphere, tasty drinks and delicious food! The home made potato chips and sour cream were really good as was the delicious kale salad with salmon. All that was topped by our server, Kendra. She was delightful, courteous and personable, a real gem. Well definitely be back!

    Great bar to get one drink or hang out through the evening. I am a regular here and am always happy with everything about the place. The service is great, cocktails are tasty (and inexpensive) and the vibe is very casual.

    Incredible new craft beer bar right in the heart of Chelsea. Amazing selection of hard to find beers and delicious cocktails. Boyfriend ordered the burger and I had the mac and cheese, both hit the spot. We started with oysters which were also great. Had two beers each and loved the variety and rarity offered here. We finished with a final beer and espresso martini. ORDER THE MARTINI. Truly amazing. Can’t wait to make this our neighborhood spot.

    Really good happy hour 4-7 Daily including some food, $5 craft drafts, and $6 cocktails, plus game day specials. My Buffalo-native wife tried the wings and gave them her blessing. Plus good service and a nice atmosphere to watch games outside and not freeze with thier heaters.

    One of my favorite bars in New York! I have been coming here for a few years because the staff are wonderful and the atmosphere is amazing. I also had my first date with my partner here and naturally wanted to propose here as well. The owner and staff were unbelievably accommodating, helpful and responsive.Thank you to the crown alley team for your help! You guys helped make a really special moment in our lives.All that aside, the drink selection is amazing and the bartenders are always friendly and efficient.

    For me this is a bar as you would like to see a bar! First of all, Low key! People sitting at the bar, good cocktails, beers and wine. Excellent service provided by very attentive service minded personal, with no attitude.Apparently Happy Hour is rather popular, but don’t go especially for that. I myself haven’t tried the food they serve. However from what I saw coming by it looked like good stuf. In a range from properly filled sandwiches to oysters that look great!!I would have loved to place photos of how the looked, but due to privacy reasons there was no possibility. The place was “packed” in a good way on a regular Thursday! #iwillcomeback

    Crown Alley is the absolute best! It’s such a fun bar and the drinks are fire. I’ve always had a good time and the staff have always been lovely. Thank you for this last Friday night, you made it so incredibly special for my fiancé (?!) and me. I will never forget walking out through the bar, everyone smiling and clapping. Best night ever.

    Best happy hour in NYC! You truly cannot beat an everyday happy hour with $8 craft cocktails, $5 beers and $1 oysters!!! Even their off happy hour prices are amazing. Where else can you get a $12 craft cocktail off happy hour?? The vibes are great, the drinks are fantastic, food is delicious, and all around great experience. Really recommend this bar for anyone, but also a really good place to go to before an event at MSG because it’s only a 10 min walk!

    What a gem of a bar! Visited here with a friend last Saturday during a long weekend trip to new York from Ireland.What a very welcoming and cozy bar.A big shout out to Keenan from Dundalk (Ireland) who was our bartender. He couldnt have made us feel more welcomeAfter tasting a couple of local beers and cocktails (which were really good) we inquired about the quality of his Guinness.We were told that we would be hard pressed to find a better pint in new York and he wasnt kidding! Wow! It was spectacular! Both of us agreed that it was the best pint of Guinness we had tasted outside of Ireland and we drink a lot of it! So good we had a few more.This bar is a hidden Gem, whether you want a to relax with a quiet cocktail, try the local craft beers or taste their amazing Guinness, this bar ticks all the right boxes.I would highly recommend a visit to Crown Alley if you are visiting Manhattan.

    The first time I came here for happy hour was pretty fun so I had to come back for a second experience. The happy hour is exceptional with so many drink options to choose from and if you love $1 oysters fresh and shucked to perfection, this is a place to check out.     Had the B•E•S•T experience at Crown Alley. Booked a reservation for a party of 20 girls and couldnt ask for a better evening. The food and drinks were ☆AMAZING☆! Service was unbelievable, and the ambiance of it all set up for a nice little photo shoot with the girls. Def will be coming back very soon!That truffle mac&cheese though! 👌❤

    Crown Alley is a great addition to the NYC bar and restaurant scene! We were a party of 7 on a Saturday night and we were all very comfortable in their amply heated outdoor seating area. We all ordered cocktails, several appetizers, and entrees and everything was delicious. The staff was so friendly and attentive, they all made it a memorable evening! Crown Alley is the perfect go-to place and well be sure to go again.

    Nice place, great drinks (esp happy hour), good service, bad seats. Had drinks and $1 oysters with friends here and everything tasted great! We got the moscow mule, amaretto sour, piña colada, and Two Robbers hard seltzer. We had reservations for outside, but it was uncomfortably hot, so we moved inside. The only problem was the stools: we sat at a skinny ledge-table and with nothing to lean back on, it was uncomfortable. They also did not have well-placed bars to rest your feet, so it was an awkward balance. Id come here again but make sure you get a table!

    I seriously cant say enough good things about Crown Alley. Its the perfect place for a birthday party or any kind of celebration for that matter. Barry is so accommodating and made the whole experience easy breezy! I was able to rent out the entire inside space for a party of 75 people. The drinks are all amazing and everyone had a blast. I cant wait to plan my next event at Crown Alley asap.

    Had such a great experience at Crown Alley. My boyfriend emailed to make a reservation and the manager Barry responded right away and was very accommodating. They have an amazing beer list, both draft and cans & really great food. The lamb sandwich was to die for and so was the mac & cheese. Try to go before 7 PM- dollar oysters. Can’t wait to go back!!

    Great new spot! The outdoor seating is perfect for the weather, and the inside looks so nice and cozy - can’t wait to sit at the bar here(they even have charger outlets right under the bar for you!) amazing craft beer, and the pretzels with the cheese dip are to die for. This local cocktail bar offers an ample menu of $7 cocktail standards (Aperol sprtiz, margarita, Negroni) with an equally ample selection of beers and wines. While they also have several dinner options, they really shine with their liquid offerings.With a nearly equal amount of seating indoors and out, Crown Alley can accommodate a fair crowd, and indeed, they’re often busy. Never fear, despite the demand for service, the bar and wait staff maintain composure as they mix spirits and ferry them about.I wasn’t partial to the frose, but their other delightful and exceedingly reasonably priced options more than outweigh one mediocre option.I’ve haunted this spot on more than one occasion, and from the looks of their bustling Thursday night crowds, I’m certainly not alone.

    Crown Alley was my first time going out in the United States since returning from my honeymoon in Europe a few months ago. My husband and I went here for happy hour.Their happy hour deals were great! $1 oysters (gotta get 6 minimum) and good drinks (his beer was $5; my cocktail was $8, I believe) made for a nice afternoon after gallery-hopping in Chelsea.It was packed, and I wish that there was more seating available that was not directly in the sun. But we made it work, and we would return.

But I’m not selfish and you should know it exists because it is wonderful and absolutely one of the best Happy Hours I’ve enjoyed in NYC.     Crown Alley is an awesome neighborhood bar just around the corner from my place that I stumbled upon with my roommate, and were hooked!Their happy hour is the bomb (price/vibes/taste). BUT my favorite part is the bartenders. Between serving amazing $8 negronis and old fashions - they are super sweet and fun to chat with. I gave props to a bartender for his orange peeling skills, and he proceeded to make me an adorable flower out of orange peels in my aperol spritz.Its become my roommate and Is regular hangout (and now I take my work friends for Thursday HHs)!Totally would feel comfortable grabbing a drink w friends or even alone knowing how friendly and welcoming the space is.

    Awesome bar. Came here mostly for the Happy Hour when visiting from out of town, but it filled up with locals while we were there and for good reason. Not often you will see cocktails like Old Fashioned/Negronis as part of a happy hour, but they are here. Very friendly service. If I lived in the area, I would become a regular in a heartbeat.

    Warm, cozy, classic. Delicious, well-rounded menu done very, very well. First time here we had the Honey Bear and Irish Coffee with the burger and charcuterie, amazing. Second time round had the lamb sandwich(go early in the week before they sell out, theyre to die for) with a guiness and a scotch...perfection.Quick covid note: well spaced out tables and a vigilant staff make the environment feel safe, and the heaters do overtime making the outdoor space feel just as warm and cozy as their socially distanced indoor seating.Cant wait to go back again, so looking forward to the next lamb sandwich and scotch night!

    So I see why this place have such a good rating. I came here last night for their happy hour that starts at 4. They have a pretty good selection of standard cocktails (which I took full advantage of)The bar is cozy and filled up pretty quickly by 5pm so going with a smaller party is ideal. If you go before 5 you’re more likely to score good seats at the bar or in the back with the tables.The bartenders were friendly and for the most part attentive but once it got busy it was bit hard to put in a drink before happy hour ended.I def will be back again and partake in happy hour when it gets warmer

    Cute Chelsea bar / restaurant with surprisingly good cocktails, a good beer menu, and good bar snacks. I’m partial to the reuben. Our dance groups comes once a week and we all enjoy it. Outdoor decor could be a bit nicer (hence minus one star) but otherwise great!

    Best bar in the neighborhood. They really fire on all cylinders here. Nice indoor and outdoor space, excellent food, top notch service and great cocktails. The beer deserves a special mention, not only do they have a great core offering, as well harder to find highly rated beers (like Alchemist) but they also have beers you just cant find anywhere else (like Tree House).

    Best bar and restaurant in the neighborhood. The Lamb sandwich is so tender and has the perfect amount of kick. The Burger is a double patty of the most mouth watering beef around. The Beer list is perfection. So many superb high quality brews for whatever your thirst requires.

    Went with my friend on a Wednesday evening for their amazingly priced Happy Hour. Not only were the drinks and food delicious, but the service was awesome. They made sure we were warm and had a table where we felt comfy and sheltered from the cold. Everyone was being safe and hand sanitizer was accessible at each table. Really well-run place - its a great new neighborhood spot!
