Beautiful restaurant, loved the food. It is classic new york fine dining, one of the oldest, with a great vibrant atmosphere.Absolutely adore the steak here, the crispy edges, the friend onions on top, and soft insides of the steak. Perfectly seasoned. Would definitely come back.Wonderful hostess and great place to dine with friends or lover. ❤️ -

My son and I happened to wonder in over the weekend after attending an art show in the area. The place was gorgeous inside. Very charming and cozy. I wasn’t sure what to expect with old steak houses like this. Quality can dip and people will still come because of the name. This wasn’t the case at all!Every single dish was impeccable. My oysters with caviar set my dinner off to a good start. Bread service was nice too. Warm bread with butter and sea salt was delicious. My son loved it.My wedge salad was delicious. My son had the aged bone in NY Strip. He absolutely loved his steak. It was cooked perfectly. I had the scallops which were cooked and seasoned well. The ponzu cheesecake was just okay compared to everything else. Our captain was very warm and polite. He was funny, attentive and helpful. He made the experience very enjoyable. We must go back! -

Elegance, the atmosphere that immediately hits you when you walk through the doors of Delmonico.Historic and a staple, if you are a steak person you might want to try this landmark.I do recommend reservations to ensure a seating, but wanted to express gratitude to the hostess for accommodating my seating. My reservation was for another day and realized when I got to the restaurant.Since the restaurant is large for NYC standards big parties can be served as an fyi. Our waiter was professional and very knowledgeable of the menu. Also, a huge wine list if you are someone who’s into wines. I ordered some signature cocktails to enjoy my meal.Started the meal with Caesar salad and Kumamoto oysters. I wasn’t a big fan of the salad, there was a lot of bread crumbs and the whole anchovies threw me off. Taste was okay just not the style that I was thinking of when I ordered the salad. Maybe I was supposed to break up the salad versus eating each leaf of the lettuce. If you like pacific oysters then the Kumamoto is a good choice.Had filet mignon which was cooked to perfection accompanied by creamed of spinach. The cream of spinach was an intense green and added a beautiful color to my plate. The presentation of the baked Alaska was the reason why I even came to Delmonico. It’s unique and had so many components that I love in a dessert. Needless to say, it was what I enjoyed the most from the entire experience.Glad I came to experience the history of the restaurant and scratch off my list of places to dine at. -

What you would expect from a five star restaurant. The perfectly cooked bone in rib eye was out of this world. I recommend the yellow tail for an appetizer. Probably the best sushi grade fish Ive ever had. The crab cake is another gem here. The service is second to none. Atmosphere is sort of like a country club. -
Review 5 (2024-09-15 - Rating: 5)
AMAZING!!!Most delicious crab cake and mash potatoes Ive ever eaten. The steak was cooked perfectly. No need for any steak sauce. The bread was soft and fresh! The butter with smoked salt on top was wonderful. Portions were quite large. So the 3 of us shared two steaks and two sides. It was plenty.Service was hands down exceptional. We were so taken care of. -

NY classic. Did not disappoint! Christmas Eve tasting menu was amazing! Staff was professional and on point. The building is beautiful. -

Top grades- from the time you walk in through the corner facing doors to the time you finally walk out. Greeters do their job, servers are attentive and polite, even the bus boys were on point. The crab cakes were divine - very unique and different from what I’m used to, with a superb balance of flavor and texture (crunch).Went with a petite filet mignon - was done perfectly as requested (medium rare), melted in the mouth, beautifully aged and prepared to a perfection.I wish I had the funds to always eat here! -

A part of History in fine dining with exquisite architecture, delicious food and superb service. I’ve wanted to eat here awhile and was not disappointed and my expectations were surpassed. I loved the wedge salad, pasta and mashed potatoes and my friend thoroughly enjoyed the fish. They have an impressive wine selection and the drinks were on point. Looking forward to returning. It’s a fun area as well with a lot to see and do. -

We were here for restaurant week and their menu was phenomenal! I wish I was able to take a photo of their crab cakes because it was so well put together and delicious. Everything else was filling and had such a great combination of flavors! The staff were on point and attentive. Everyone was warm and made the experience so much better. -
Review 10 (2024-12-14 - Rating: 5)
Very good steak. I got the signature ribeye which is most popular and is wet aged, nothing wrong with it but I do prefer a dry age thats more robust in flavor. Nothing to complain about though its just my preference. -

Delmonico’s NYC-Widely considered as the first fine dining restaurant in America and the birth place of Eggs Benedict and Baked Alaska. The dark wood paneling interior matches well with the history of the establishment. All the dishes were cooked to perfection and delicious. What a spectacular meal! -
Review 12 (2024-12-23 - Rating: 5)
Their steak is amazing. We celebrated my husbands 50th birthday there. The steak and dessert made it memorable. Also the wine is to die for. -
Review 13 (2024-10-12 - Rating: 5)
This was one of the highlights of our New York trip. What a gorgeous place with food that was top tier and service that is unmatchable. Cons: We had 5pm reservations (first of the day) and had to call them around 5:20 because the door was mistakenly locked until then. No big deal, we are all human. The bathrooms downstairs had nothing to dry hands with so I snuck until the cabinet and pulled out paper towels. Told the hostess and she just said “yea we are aware”, which was odd. Pros: all other staff was friendly, courteous, and helpful. The food was unmatched and the wine was perfection. The atmosphere is historic and beautiful. If you are looking for an extra special dinner and have money to spend, I highly recommend this place. -
Review 14 (2024-12-31 - Rating: 5)
Wow, we visited Delmonico’s on Christmas Day. The crab cake starter was beautiful, as was the baked Alaska, and I can honestly say it was the best fillet steak i’ve ever had. -
Review 15 (2024-08-11 - Rating: 5)
Amazing dinner, everything was delicious and wonderful service. Can get a little loud but not too bad. Highly recommend their restaurant week menu if available. -
Review 16 (2024-12-11 - Rating: 5)
This is a historic restaurant with elite crowd… The food is delicious! Servers are attentive. My only complaint is their serving sizes. I got the petite filet mignon, 7 oz. Because i know i can’t down any more meat than that but i ordered sides. Caeser salad, which the waiter claimed is a sharable size. And french fries. I figured that i can share the sides with my friend. Caesar salad comes as 8-10 small sized whole leaves. Definitely not share-size. And their fries come in a pencil holder… Probably 1/3 of what other restaurants bring. But the prices are high. They can keep their prices but I feel like they should offer more generous sizes for lettuce.. and potatoes… Still a great place with unfortunately cheap size portions. -
Review 17 (2024-08-18 - Rating: 4)
Id recommend the restaurant for the ambience but not necessarily for the food. The bread is fresh/warm and soft but very basic. The chianti didnt measure up to what I described but perhaps I didnt do a good job describing what I wanted. It wasnt the best chianti Ive had, which is a surprise since chianti is my safety go to red when I cant find anything better within my price point. The choices for the salad and dessert are lacking and not impressive. The dressing for the iceberg lettuce has citrus in it making it refreshing. The thick cut bacon was quite fatty so we couldnt finish it.The ribeye was fine but not flavorful enough on its own. I liked that the server asked me to check the middle piece to make sure they got the temperature correctly. The mashed potatoes were fine although very creamy. We didnt order dessert but they served us a scoop of vanilla ice cream on the house since we were there celebrating a birthday. That was a very nice gesture and we very much appreciated it. -
Review 18 (2024-08-17 - Rating: 5)
Absolutely fantastic. Zeljko was a great waiter, the atmosphere was vibrant, the food was 11/10 from start to finish. Truly wouldn’t change a thing. Highly recommend.P.S. It’s way better than Harry’s around the corner. -
Review 19 (2024-07-17 - Rating: 5)
Spectacular experience. We were choosing from a list of restaurants but chose Delmonicos because of its history. The steak was slightly undercooked to be medium but nevertheless, it tasted great. The mushroom side was also very flavorful. Would recommend to those who are looking for a good steak experience in NYC. -
Review 20 (2024-06-24 - Rating: 5)
First time dining here. The staff is polite and professional. The vibe is quiet elegance. And the food...oh my, THE FOOD!!! Every bite was better than the last. An amazing, gastronomic experience, it was ❤️ -
Review 21 (2025-01-01 - Rating: 4)
The service and food overall was 5 stars. Only thing was that the steak was not cooked to a medium even after sending it back the steak still came out as rare. They reheated my steak and once you reheat steak it doesn’t come out the same. Overall great experience as one of the top tier steak houses. -
Review 22 (2024-09-11 - Rating: 5)
I know this is a historically significant, stunning steakhouse, but the thing I keep dreaming about is this insane crabcake. It’s always so nice to come here. Everything is delicious. Steaks are good. I’m not a huge fan of their mushrooms as they were a little more teriyaki or Asian inspired than I’d expect at a mostly traditional steakhouse. I still enjoyed them though.I love getting cocktails at the bar as well. -
Review 23 (2024-10-01 - Rating: 5)
We went for a birthday dinner and it was so absolutely worth it. The atmosphere and decor are immaculate, very classy New York fine dining. The wine list was great and I tried a new wine that I loved. Portions are very decently sized, even the sides we probably could’ve shared rather than get more than one because I felt bad there was some left when the food was so good! The steaks were phenomenal, easily one of the best filet mignon I’ve ever had from the texture to the temperature. The wasabi brussel sprouts were great. One of my favorite dishes was the Maine crab cake with potato strings and tarragon dill tartar. The crab cake itself was fantastic and the herbs were so fresh tasting. We also had to of course get dessert, I’ve been looking forward to the baked Alaska and it was so worth it, the banana gelato and merengue together were my favorite part. The service from the entire staff was also amazing and so professional, such a great team they have right now. The only downside is that beautiful dim atmosphere means I couldn’t get a great picture of the steaks to post here! -
Review 24 (2024-08-07 - Rating: 5)
When I read they reopened I knew I had to book a flight to New York ASAP. Everything was perfection. The food, the atmosphere, the service. I wouldn’t change a thing. 10/10 highly recommend. -
Review 25 (2024-06-02 - Rating: 5)
Wet-aged steaks cooked in perfection. Tastes great by itself. I will probably get the sauce next time though.Bacon is not overly salty like some of other places. I like how they balance it out with maple syrup. I’m sure it’s high calorie but totally worth it.You can taste the fruitiness in Baked Alaska.Everything from cocktail (I ordered Negroni Bianco), side dishes are all very high quality.Service is naturally attentive from waiters to maitre d.Did I forget to mention the old money vibe? Nice ambiance but not out of date.I would like to visit again. It has probably become my new favorite steak house in the city. -
Review 26 (2024-04-22 - Rating: 4)
Overall great restaurant and attentive service. Appetizers and cocktails were very good. But when it comes to the steak, the Delmonico I got looked smaller than 18 oz and it was unevenly cooked, sides were too salty also. -
Review 27 (2024-04-23 - Rating: 5)
I must say I was very pleased with my meal here. I started with an espresso martini as I waited for the rest of my party to arrive and the bartender was sensational. We started off dinner with bacon, crab cake, and yellowtail crudo! The bacon was insanely thick and the crab cake had such a delicious crunch due to the potato used for the casing. We also tried the Cesar salad which was perfect. I recommend it!For entrees i tried the signature demonic which was an 18oz! That bad boy is certainly big enough to share but I’m glad I had it all to myself. It was perfectly salted and had such a great texture. Just writing about it now makes my mouth water. My guests preferred the lamb chops which was also delicious and the porterhouse which they said was great! We did get dessert and I cannot recommend the baked Alaska enough. A masterpiece of a dessert that manages to be delicious in its tenderness. -
Review 28 (2025-01-01 - Rating: 5)
This place is great. Made a reservation to celebrate our anniversary. Our waiter Albert provided a level of warmth that made dinning here great. All of the food we had tasted like there was a level of attention you would expect with fine dining. The ceasar salad, steak, salmon and brussle sprout I would recommend to anyone. The drinks were also excellent. It was also surprisingly quiet considering it was very busy which I appreciated. -
Review 29 (2024-05-14 - Rating: 5)
Amazing food and fantastic experience. Lives up to all the old school New York hype. The Delmonico steak is essential, and you can’t go wrong with anything else on the menu. The Caesar salad was one of the best in the city. Dress to impress, then relax and enjoy the five star service in one of New York’s most storied restaurants. -
Review 30 (2024-01-11 - Rating: 4)
Twas not bad, in terms of American steaks this was as good as they come. The other chicken and the lobster are easy passes for future visits.(they were our second entrees just to try as many things on the menu as possible) the desserts were alright nothing special. Service and atmosphere were good, to be expected of the oldest steak house in NYC. -
Review 31 (2024-12-28 - Rating: 5)
Excellent food and some nice wine pairings. The Delmonico Steak is a must try. Lobster Newberg was delicious but my youngest daughter felt it lacking in size, leaving her hungry. Service was good overall but lacking at times (empty water glasses, dirty dishes, etc). Family favorite for over 40 years. -
Review 32 (2024-01-14 - Rating: 5)
Excellent steak and sides! Highlights were their signature Delmonico, the spatzle, the wedge salad, and the mushrooms.Service was ok, but the real highlight was the food. Seriously my favorite steak I’ve had in the city, cooked perfectly medium rare and full of flavor. Opted for the black garlic butter on the side and it added flavor but the steak didn’t even need it. SO good.Everything had excellent flavors and textures. The salad was really delicious with more layers than your typical wedge.Reservations are a good idea on weekends. -

Old school streakhouse in FiDi. Worth the money. Excellent steaks, even better service. We will absolutely return. -
Review 36 (2025-01-02 - Rating: 4)
The food and service were 2nd to none! Our waiter fixed a major problem with the food and didn’t make me feel bad about it. The one problem I have is the dress code. They sent me a confirmation about our reservation and made a point to mention the dress code, which was clearly not enforced because right next to us was a couple in sweat pants and a T-shirt. Either enforce it or just allow anyone in. But make up your mind, I think you should enforce it. -

Review 38 (2024-06-28 - Rating: 5)
It is an excellent restaurant with outstanding service. The steak was perfectly cooked. The yellowtail carpaccio and the oysters were delicious as well. The Langhe Nebbiolo was well-balanced and a perfect pairing for our menu. The cherry jubilee dessert was tasty and rich. Excellent experience in the first fine restaurant in the US. I highly recommend it. -

They say this is the Oldest Restaurant in the United States 🇺🇸 1837. There are other restaurants in NYC that have the same name but they’re not Steak Houses. This place claims to have created Eggs Benedict, Wedge Salad 🥗, and the Baked Alaska Dessert 🧁. Also the 1st place in the US to use the word “Restaurant “. Overall, this is a very nice place. Clean facilities. Good food with Asian Accents. More NYC locals here than tourists. Steak House prices so bring your Credit Cards 💳. Staff is nice. I’d recommend going for lunch. -
Review 43 (2024-06-08 - Rating: 4)
A historic establishment with centuries of history. The staff is super friendly and service is on point. The food is delicioso and martinis are perfect. Expect nothing but good hospitality and attention.I’ll be back! -
Review 44 (2023-11-24 - Rating: 4)
This is only a review for their Thanksgiving Day service. Our three courses were all delicious and plated in a very eye-pleasing manner. Our waitress was exceedingly pleasant, attentive, and ensured our experience was enjoyable. Only downside was it was exceptionally expensive, especially for a family of 4. Adding more for certain items in a prix fixe meal was not received well. Also, adding gratuity for a small party was disappointing. We usually go to a steakhouse every Thanksgiving and this was more costly than the last two holidays. Glad we visited but even with the outstanding food and service, doubt wed be back given the high cost. -
Review 45 (2024-12-02 - Rating: 5)
Celebrated my husband’s birthday here and I’m so glad we did! The entire team was so helpful and kind. The food was excellent! The pacing of the dinner was really great which made for an overall wonderful celebration for my husband. -
Review 46 (2024-06-13 - Rating: 5)
The food was absolutely astonishing, it was worth the drive and wait(which surprising was very little), extremely clean and well kept, very nice waiters. Overall a great place to eat, a little pricey but what can you expect buying high quality steak. Everything was really great. -
Review 47 (2024-05-07 - Rating: 5)
It’s hard to say who has the best steak (like what is the best car or watch) but this is probably it when you’re looking for sear, balanced flavor, and quality of meat. Sear has a good crispy crust. Flavor is balanced with salt, pepper, crispy onions, and butter not overpowering the beef. And lastly, quality of meat for the signature Delmonico’s is perfectly dry aged, juicy but not a bloody mess, nicely trimmed, and minimal to no veining. I recommend Medium Rare so you can get a good sear without drying it too much as you approach Medium. That said, if you’re looking for all out flavor, my favorite is still the ribeye at Smith & Wollensky (although I always wonder about my lifespan after eating there). The service and atmosphere was great and I even saw a few people wearing hoodies and caps so all are welcomed - simply relax here and have a good meal! -
Review 48 (2023-10-24 - Rating: 5)
I recently dined at Delmonico’s, and my experience was beyond exceptional. Since their reopening post-pandemic, theyve truly outdone themselves. From the moment I walked in, I felt right at home. I mentioned to the General Manager, Corrado, that my dad was visiting from out of town, and he personally ensured that my dad had an unforgettable time.Throughout our meal, Corrado and our fantastic waiters, Luis and Juan Miguel, went above and beyond to make us feel welcome and cared for. They checked on us regularly, ensuring that every aspect of our dining experience was impeccable. All of that and I haven’t even gotten to the food… the steak was mouthwatering with an exquisite char that makes you wish you could have it everyday. The creamed spinach was beyond belief. We got a ton of appetizers and every single one of them had me leaning back in my chair with amazement as to how they blew me away.Delmonico’s deserves a rating of 15/10 for their outstanding hospitality, top of the line food, and exceptional service. This is a restaurant that not only serves incredible food but also makes you feel like family. -
Review 49 (2024-02-14 - Rating: 5)
The legend has returned. Delmonico’s is one of the oldest, most esteemed restaurants in the country. Since they reopened, I’ve been meaning to give it a try. I was not disappointed. Service was prompt, warm and refined. The food was decadent and the atmosphere was magic. We will definitely be back -
Review 50 (2023-10-25 - Rating: 5)
Our experience was great. I wish I got the name of the staff because the GM, waiter and busser were all aces and deserve to be commended. Steak was way more undercooked than I normally eat. However it blew my mind. I’m now a rare girl. -
Review 51 (2024-09-22 - Rating: 5)
My favorite steakhouse in the city by far. The Delmonico steak was perfection. We also loved the crab cake and pork belly appetizers. We tried a few of the cocktails and some were better than others, so next time I might stick to wine. One major disappointment was that the staff only gave me half my leftovers in my to go bag, and we did not realize until we were home. -

Excelent! The best restaurant in New York!!! Alaska desert its incredible -
Review 53 (2023-10-12 - Rating: 4)
I like this place. The signature steak was really good, but the appetizers were a little bit overcooked, especially the octopus. The dessert, Alaska, was beautiful 😍 and delicious. -
Review 54 (2024-08-05 - Rating: 5)
My sister and I were so glad we decided to dine at Delmonicos! From the moment we walked in, we were met with professionalism and ambiance. The food was absolutely incredible, from start to finish. We came for the Restaurant Week menu and it was a fantastic value. Steaks were cooked perfectly and the desserts were some of the best I’ve had. The best part of the evening was the sweet and friendly staff who made us feel so special. Please offer this again during winter Restaurant Week — we will plan our reservations now for it, that’s how much we loved it!! -

The food - the service - the history: all come together for the storied restaurant. -
Review 57 (2024-09-23 - Rating: 5)
Felt like we were going back in time….big tables of sharply dressed, old school Italian guys at huge round tables drinking expensive scotch. We were able to grab a table at the bar downstairs after Life&Trust show. Specialty cocktails were great though $$$. We split an elevated lobster fried rice in finger sized bites which was fantastic. Split the burger which was also good. Enough for two. Overall, old school chic & glamour in a beautiful art deco space. Not a cheap date though very special. -
Review 58 (2024-06-16 - Rating: 5)
This is the real deal. Everything about this place was top notch. The attention to detail is second to none in New York. The burrata and the wedge salad are out of this planet. -
Review 59 (2025-01-02 - Rating: 5)
One word, impeccable. Unbelievably delicious steak and standout sides with perfect service. Dress for the occasion and treat yourself to the pommes puree and sprouts alongside a ribeye. -
Review 60 (2024-12-22 - Rating: 4)
Convivial, historic place. Oysters were not moist, meaning they weren’t shucked to order. That’s bad form and can be unsafe. My steak was so-so. Dry on the edges for a medium rare order. Service was spotty. Excellent chocolate cake. -

I have to rate this overall the best Steak House in New York.It is quiet, (you don’t have to raise your voice to be heard), spacious with high ceilings and wonderful large paintings on the wallsThose who take your orders know the menu and learn very quickly your taste; they are confident that the steak will be exactly as the customer desires. The sommelier (Sergio) will find the exact wine for you and it WILL raise the taste of your steak to a special level, whatever may be your budget. If you know your meat and wine pairings as one of the members in our party did, the staff seem delighted to engage in the most knowledgeable discussion you can have in New York -
Review 63 (2024-09-01 - Rating: 5)
This restaurant has nearly 200 years of history, and throughout that time, new dishes have been frequently created, becoming the restaurants signature items. It’s truly impressive to have such a long history, especially considering how peoples tastes and preferences constantly change. Keeping up with these changes by introducing new dishes while maintaining consistent quality is no easy feat, yet this restaurant has managed to balance tradition and innovation beautifully. One standout recommendation is their dry-aged steak. Compared to their signature steak, the dry-aging process adds extra depth of flavor, and the high quality of the meat provides a unique dining experience. Additionally, their appetizers and desserts are also excellent, balancing tradition with innovation. The presentation is creatively appealing, and the flavors offer a fresh twist on the classic steakhouse staples, leaving a lasting impression. Moreover, the service is commendable; the staff is quick and professional, complementing the historical ambiance of the decor, making for a truly memorable dining experience. -

Had a wonderful anniversary. This place is like a dream! The steaks are cooked to sizzling perfection. Lobster bisque soup (and Ive tried many) is among the best, with real fresh, delicious lobster chunks. The fine wine is oh-so yummy. They also serve a generous side of tasty asparagus. One order was enough for the hubby and me! Definitely recommend! -

Try it!Staff were amazingly friendly and totally unpretentious (its a bit posh in there!) Our waiter made it a fabulous experience (we showed him a YouTube video of him made years ago, for a Uni dissertation, so he enjoyed a visit down memory lane too!) Highly recommend baked alaska. Review 68 (2019-12-16 - Rating: 4)
Pricey steak joint but worth every penny if youre in the mood for premier steak and service. Was here for our annual holiday meal and was not disappointed. The appetizers and steaks were spot on. A medium is suppose to. Medium. Medium rare had the right amount of pink. The portions were good and the dry aged did taste better as it should over the regular rib Eye... Of course the price reflected that room. If I had to complain.... Small steak portion in these massive plates... All that negative space just gives it a bad look in terms of optics. Still not my fav steak joint but I have to shout out to our server, Marina who was gracious, attentive and threw in 2 extra desserts for the 2 birthdays in our table. -

This is one of the best meals youll ever eat. The price will reflect that and its worth every penny. The tomahawk for 2 was outstanding! Best steak Ive ever eaten. The house made pork belly was delicious. I wont even both coming back to NYC unless Im going here! -

Had an incredible dining experience at Delmonicos during Restaurant Week for our anniversary. The food and service were exceptional from start to finish. The staff went above and beyond, surprising us with a beautifully decorated dessert to celebrate the occasion. The steak was the highlight—ordered medium rare, it was cooked to perfection, juicy and flavorful without being overly salty. Paired it with their delicious creamed spinach and an outstanding crab cake, both of which complemented the meal perfectly. Of course, we couldn’t leave without trying their famous Baked Alaska, which lived up to its reputation.Overall, Delmonico’s made our anniversary dinner special with their attention to detail and superb food. Highly recommend it for any special occasion or just a great night out. -

Had a business lunch here and the service is exactly what you expect. Precise, professional and prompt. Had a wedge salad that set the tone for a 10 oz demonico. Salad & steak… as good as it gets in NYC. Perfectly cooked. Tender. Juicy. And the environment is classic and light filled. -

Delmonicos was amazing! We started with fresh oysters and a delicious Caesar salad and Wedge salad that we absolutely loved. For mains, we had the Signature Delmonico steak and filet mignon with creamy pommes puree and creamed spinach, both were fantastic. The drinks were perfect, and the desserts, especially the baked Alaska (invented here!) and New York cheesecake, were divine. Service was exceptional, attentive, and focused on every detail. The ambiance was dim and posh, making for a memorable evening. Well definitely be back! -

Worth the hype 100%. Best caesar salad and steak I have ever had. Seamless experience from the moment we entered, to the moment we exited. Service was top tier and they did not hover over us which I very much appreciated. I can’t wait to go back! -

The board room is perfect for groups - the square space makes it easy to speak with everyone, not just those beside you. The history of this restaurant makes it a worthwhile visit, from American presidents served to the secret exit in the private room. While the food is delicious (various items ordered: ribeye, caesar salad, crab cake, brussels sprouts, mushrooms, chocolate layer cake, baked alaska), I’m not sure the prices matched the expectations. That being said, the classic steakhouse atmosphere was unmatched and that is part of what you pay for. -

This was such a splurge of a lunch because I’m celebrating the recording of a video for an online conference and I nailed it! Looking on my google map for flagged restaurants in the area I found this place. I hadn’t eaten all day due to nerves and now I’m way full! I started with the salad. The toasted buckwheat were the stars of the show as well as their homemade vinaigrette. Then I had the brick roasted chicken. It was huge! Salty.. and even so that worked for me. I had to leave half for it due to travel so that was sad. I had sparkling water to match. This was a fine place for solo dining. They gave me a great seat where I could people watch. I need to return here when I can and try everything on the menu! -

Dined in on a Saturday night for Birthday dinner. Service and atmosphere were great and top notch. They were attentive and cleared out plates swiftly. Food came out quickly, maybe cause we were there for early dinner before the rush. The bread was good, but the butter was great.Started off with the Caesar salad and crab cake. Both were fantastic, but the Caesar salad was one of the best Ive ever had. Crab cake was also good, especially with the potato string crust.I was a bit disappointed they did not have bone in dry age ribeye. It was Saturday night at 5pm and they didnt have it, which was bizarre. We opted for the dry age ny strip instead, which did not disappoint. It was a great steak, but it couldve had a bit more dry age flavor and a better crust. Server told us it was 18 days, which I usually prefer 30-45 days. Also got hashbrown and creamed spinach for sides. Hashbrowns was great for me but a little salty for my wife. It had a great flavor, from which maybe it were cooked in duckfat? Creamed spinach was good but didnt stand out much.Finished with the baked Alaska, which was great, noted with a Happy Birthday note. Overall, it was a great dinner at a nyc staple steakhouse. -

Absolutely fantastic and historic to dine at in downtown Manhattan! I’ve always been a fan celebrating NYE there before the pandemic and other fun nights. Was skeptical about the reopening, but since - it’s better even better than before. A taste of the New York past. Fun dishes, great steak. Innacio is the best waiter - love his energy and humor! -

We decided to eat at Delmonico’s because my father waited tables there in the late 1930 up to when he went into WWII. It was the first time I was able to get here. I am not sure if even the same family owns it. The place is classy and very nicely appointed. It certainly is a grown ups night out. We had the wedge salad, octopus, Delmonico’s steak speciality, lobster Mac, and asparagus. The salad was very nicely prepared however it was served a bit warm for my liking. The octopus was nearly the best I have ever had. It was served in a fresh pesto sauce with bacon and tomatoes. It was at tad on the cold side. The asparagus was very tender with a creamy sauce and bits of prosciutto and aged Parmesan cheese. The best was the steak. It was perfectly seasoned and served with shoestring onions. The lobster Mac was not a classic presentation. The seasoning was savory and a bit sweet. There was not much lobster. The sauce was light and thin, in contrast to thick and clunky of some presentations. When the waiter saw my last name and realized I was Italian he brought olive oil to the table for the bread. Which, by the way, was outstanding. Probably the best bread in all NYC.For the price it was nicely done. Also given the price there were some important misses. The big misses were that the salad and octopus were served at the same time. So perhaps that is why the salad was warm and the octopus was cool. The waiter did not offer fresh cracked pepper for the salad nor was he willing to make recommendations. In fact, sadly no pepper or salt was brought to the table. The wait staff team was attentive and they were very polite. Our water glasses were never empty. They just struggled a bit with special requests. -

Incredibly passionate, kind, and attentive. Awesome lady and awesome at her job. -

Delmonicos has been on my bucket list for years, so once they opened back up, I made reservations right away. I wasnt going to miss out. With all the history, elegance, and hype about Demonicos, I was hoping that it lived up to expectations. Well, I took my two sons there last night, and they far exceeded our expectations. Between the three of us, we ordered the Signature Delmonico (Rib Eye), the bone-in New York Strip steak, and the filet mignon. They were absolutely amazing. Cooked to perfection! We knew that the steaks were going to be good, but we were really surprised with how great everything else was. For appetizers, we had the Ceasar salad, braised octopus, and crab cakes. First of all, the Ceasar salad is nothing like a normal Ceasar salad. Its like a Ceasar salad on steroids. A flavor explosion, and yes, Im talking about a salad. I love octopus, and the braised octopus was fantastic. As far as the crab cakes, I didnt even know that crab cakes could taste that good. The three of us couldnt stop talking about how good everything was. For sides, we ordered the creamed spinach, pommes puree, and the grilled asparagus, which were good. Then came dessert. We had to try the baked Alaska, which I never had before and was really good. We also had the cheesecake, which my sons liked, but Im not a big fan of cheesecake. What really did me in was the Three Chocolate Mousse. Im a big chocolate cake guy, and I am usually disappointed. This dessert was so amazing that I almost ordered a second one. It was really light and flavorful, with a nice crisp to it. All of that with a nice glass of Cabernet, and it was a perfect dinner. Now for a place like Delmonicos, you are also going her for the experience. The icing on the cake was our waiter, Albert. Albert was awesome, and really made our stay enjoyable. He treated us like old friends. He has been there for a while and is very knowledgeable. He made suggestions and made sure our first visit to Delmonicos is something that we will remember for a long time. The general manager also came over to our table to make sure our dinner was great. It was everything that we hoped it would be! -

We had to wait about 20 mins at the bar before getting a table, but once we were seated, the service from the waitress was good. For a restaurant of this stature, it was pathetic to see they pass on credit card fees to the customer on our check. On the other hand, they offer one of the better Restaurant week menus out there, which is what my husband and I ordered from. I had asked for my steak to be medium also noting I didn’t want it red inside but there were parts that were still a bit red which I didn’t love. My husband had chicken for entree, we had crab cakes for apps and chocolate cake and Yuzu cheesecake for desserts. Everything was delicious except I didn’t love my steak as much as I wanted to. -

A flawless experience on every level. Delmonicos is costly, but this truly classic place satisfies on every score. It reopened last year, after having been closed for several years. The current iteration is a complete success. Every staff member was professional, warmly friendly and genuinely welcoming. Lots of sincere smiles. Our server, Maria, was a consummate pro, who made our meal particularly enjoyable. The place has a quiet vibe (which is too hard to find these days), but is never stuffy or snobby. It is a classic space with lots of wood panelling, but its well lit, has some vibrant modern touches and is impeccably maintained. The tableware, linens and glassware were all topnotch, and added to our enjoyment. The food (freshly baked breads, prawns, Cesar salad, Eye of Delmonico frites, filet mignon and special sauces) was absolutely terrific, and served in generous portions. Special credit goes to the bartender, who did a fantastic job on a special request cocktail (New York Bourbon Sour). The Eye of Delmonico steak was perfectly cooked as ordered, and is one of the best-tasting steaks I can recall ever eating. Its worthy of its namesake legendary status. The accompanying frites were ideally crisp and fresh-tasting. The prawns were enormous, and served on a bed of ice with perfect cocktail sauce. Just the prawns plus a salad would make a great lunch. I would highly recommend this NYC classic dining spot. We will return for more great dining experiences. Now that we discovered the adjacent bar, we will come back to sample that too. Delmonicos exceeded expectations in every way. Its so nice to have a reborn classic like Delmonicos as a part of NYCs culinary landscape. Bravo! -

Took the family here for dinner. We arrived a bit early and was greeted by kind hostess who confirmed our reservation and asked if we’d like to wait in the bar? I had always wanted to dine here. We started off with Caramelized Bacon, simply delicious! Next, Wagyu Cote De Boeuf, again another delicious item. Obviously we had to order Signature Delmonico Ribeye and this was a home run, we added wild mushrooms, fries and black garlic butter. The staff was like a finely tuned orchestra. Once food items were consumed, the plates were whisked away and fresh plates and utensils were placed on the table. We had a very wonderful experience at Delmonico’s. Everything about this place is Class, from the staff, decor and food. Thank you all for making our dinning experience a memorable occasion. -

What else is there to say, its Americas Oldest Fine Dining restaurant! Not cheap by any means but you get what you pay for, which happens to be the best steak I have ever had in my life. Most people think filets are always the best, but sometimes its the fat that really locks in the flavour. The 28-day dry aged t-bone was out of this world. Also the location is far, but very romantic in the summer. You can sight see before and after dinner, to work up an appetite and work off a lot of eating! Also great palces nearby to grab a drink after if your into that. If your into getting home and in bed, all trains and even the ferry is close by. Also it transports you back in time! -

Ive been at Delmonicos on the last days of #NYCrestaurantweek2019 so, of course, I tried the special menu:Burrata for appetizer - was good and fresh;Filet mignon (8oz) for main course - was great, cooked well however still juicy and tender;Chocolate mousse - was perfect with some caramel inside.I dont know why haters say, that they leave hungry after the restaurant week menu, honestly I was full before the dessert came to table. But there is always room for small dessert, I think, sweet tooths will understand me.The restaurants atmosphere was warm and welcoming, it reminded me restaurants in old American movies - paintings on the walls, waitstaff and older crowd. The service was also very pleasant and consistent. Overall, it was a great experience - I enjoyed everything and left happy and full. -

Honestly this isnt just about the food, its about the experience of a historical landmark in New York City. The entire place is dripping with tradition and class. The entire dining area is dimly lit, which really sets the mood, but it can make it hard to read the menu for people with poor eyesight. I had the ribeye as well as the A5 wagyu and both were delicious and some of, if not the best steak I have ever eaten. The somolier was incredibly knowledgeable and helped us in choosing the best wine for us. In addition, he gave us recommendations on where to find the wine in our home state of Maryland, and other wines that are similar to it that may be easier to find. Be warned, you are paying for quality here and you should definitely be prepared to spend hundreds of dollars if going with more than one person. Finally, they are extremely knowledgeable and accommodating to celiac/gluten free clientel. The server was easily able to tell us what entrees, sides, and desserts were able to be eaten. We had no gluten reactions and would easily trust them again to make a safe gluten free meal. -

Fantastic meal. Beautiful restaurant. Stellar service. The entire dining experience was executed at such a high level. Busy Sunday evening despite a torrential thunderstorm. Inside the exquisite, grand dining room, we felt like we were transported to a different place and time. The energy in the room was vibrant. The movement of the staff seemed like a choreographed dance, as if they were gliding on their feet during a performance. Caramelized Bacon was phenomenal. The addition of the crispy pearls to the Yellowtail Crudo was genius. The 22-oz Bone-In Ribeye was enough for dinner, as well as lunch the next day. Chocolate layer cake was decadent. The highlight of the night might have been the Yuzu Cheesecake. The yuzu flavor was prominent and paired perfectly with the blueberry. The hostess (sorry I didnt get her name) was so kind, accommodating our late arrival due to the storm, and even pointing out the ideal seats at our table. Special thanks for Jelco (sp?) and Boris for tending to us through the night. Definitely a must-go spot, especially for a special occasion or date-night. -

Iconic restaurant with a delectable menu. Stopped by during restaurant week. The beets salad was yummy. The 18 hour braised short ribs was the highlight of the evening. It was melt in your mouth deliciousness that reminded me of a similar dish I had in Switzerland, which made sense since the recipe is from Zurich. The chocolate mousse cake was a great end to the meal.Would recommend for special occasions since its a bit on the pricier side. -

Visiting from out of state we decided to try out Delmonicos for dinner. As featured in the John Wick movies (as the hotel) and being the oldest restaurant in the United States, why not, right?I ordered a three leaves caesar and a filet mignon medium, my little brother ordered the Delmonicos salad, the prime New York strip medium rare, and most of all the sides offered; whipped potatoes, brandied mushrooms, Delmonico potatoes, & the lobster macaroni & cheese. The salads, were fresh and a delightful start to our meals. The steaks were done to perfection! The filet was seared perfectly, it had a crust like outside with a soft red inside, all of which melted perfectly in my mouth. I personally ate the sides separately and before diving into my steak, because each bite of my steak was so perfectly delightful I didnt want to taint the experience of each bite with any other mixed flavor. My brother said the Delmonico salad was one of the freshest salad hed ever had. Of all the steaks he had ever eaten, which by the way we had steak the following two nights as well, Delmonicos was one of the best hed ever had.The sides were delectable! The mushrooms were a pure delight - yet I didnt add them to my steak because the flavor of the steak was amazing without any additional flavors. The lobster macaroni and cheese was quite up there, yet so filling. However, the BEST of the BEST when it comes to sides was the Delmonico potatoes!! I couldnt recommend them enough. So, if youre deciding whether or not to try Delmonicos, dont think about, just do it! Its not cheap, our meal cost around the $700 mark, but it was worth every penny for both the company we shared, the story we came away with and the experience of it all.Delmonicos, I will be back! :D -

Delmonicos holds a rich historical significance, which was the deciding factor for dining there. Its renowned as the first official restaurant in the United States and the origin of culinary classics like Eggs Benedict, Baked Alaska, Lobster Newburg, and Chicken A la Keene. The atmosphere is quite dark, but we soon adjusted and it didnt detract from our experience. The food, especially the steaks, was impressive. We ordered the signature Delmonicos steak and a dry-aged bone-in ribeye, both of which were superb, along with excellent side dishes. However, I found the Baked Alaska (dessert) overwhelming, as the mix of flavors didnt seem to harmonize well.Overall, my experience was wonderful, and I would definitely return for special occasions. -

Outstanding! All what I was expecting. I do have to say I was a little worried about some of the 1 star reviews here and on Open Table…and was almost going to cancel. I am glad I didn’t. Expect this to be $$$$$ but again the place is a classic old school mural, white table and excellent service location. Shrimp cocktail was skimpy 3 for the price, wedge salad was excellent, for main course for 5 we had risotto, 2 filet and 2 New York bone in, asparagus and steak fries. All were cooked spot on! Medium rare and they were all salted perfectly. Now! Big item, I am glad I saw the ratings of previous customers, and those who shared the pics of their steaks. Seems the typical is for them to black char them…! I hate black char on a steak, it gives it a foul flavor to the meat. I come from a meat country (Argentina) blackened beef is a sin. I asked for all our steak to be properly seared and not blackened, and they were all made to perfection, otherwise this review would be a 1 star. Thank goodness for pics and reviews. Bread was great, coconut cream tart was good, service was excellent! Lastly, I do have to say the complaints about the reception was a little founded, we did have to wait for our table which is fine as the restaurant was packed to the bone for a Sunday night, however ladies were taken a bit back seemly that I came with my 3 upper aged teens and wife for a family dinner, as we are here for Xmas and I wanted for them to experience a great steakhouse. Nothing severe or really to get ruffled about but you could see the snarky face. -

One of New York’s finest dining experiences. An absolute must for fine cuisine and choicest steaks. Sides were a step below the Entree’s but still delicious. Yummy deserts -

Delmonico’s was better than it needed to be considering its historic and cultural importance to the city. Youd think a place with such a long-standing reputation might coast on its legacy, but not here. The steak was fantastic, cooked to perfection, and the black garlic compound butter was a delicious touch. I also really enjoyed the beef jus – it was clear and viscous, adding great flavor to each bite.A big shoutout to my waitress, Christin. She was super awesome, knew the menu inside out, and made some excellent suggestions that really enhanced the meal. Overall, it was a great experience, thank you Delmonico’s! -

Excellent service. First time sharing a steak and we did the tomahawk. It was very fatty. Had good flavor but way too much fat. Sides were good and crab cake excellent! Highly recommend to try. -

My son and I had a fantastic trip to NYC to explore the city and visit NYU for possible college choice. It was a wonderful trip with my son and one of the most memorable elements was our evening out at Delmonico’s. Service, decor, ambience, food, and wine were all exceptional. We both loved the storied history as well. I look forward to getting back to NYC and will surely make Delmonico’s part of the plan. -

I just saw an old friend mine after not having seen each other for 20 years. His hotel was near Battery Park so we decided to hang out around that area. After we hit a few bars, we got hungry, so we went to Delmonicos. We sat at the bar. Two beautiful Bulgarian girls were behind the bar. They were very nice and friendly. We didnt want to eat big, so we ordered their signature steak from the bar menu which is a lot smaller than the regular size. It was really good. Ill go back there when I happen to be in the area. -

Honestly, it was one of the best steak I’ve had in a long time. Try out the signature one! Everything from the atmosphere to the food to the service was spot on. If you’re looking for a place to celebrate something special or just want a really great steak, this is the spot. -

The staff was so kind and welcoming - even though we were a little late for our birthday reservation, thanks to the subway. The chef and the kitchen waited on us to arrive, which was just before closing. The food showed every sign of immaculate care being taken on each dish. The drinks were amazing and the sommelier and server were absolutely amazing and professional. -

It has been a long time since my last visit, way before the operation hiatus, but I am happy to say the Delmonico is back! Menu is still full of exciting options, steaks are cooked to perfection, service is impeccable and, as it has always been, the Baked Alaska is in the rotation (and where else can you find one?!!)! -

Delmonicos is only open by reservation right now. But being a nerd and a foodie I had to see it. There are older restaurants in the United States that still exist but Delmonicos is the oldest fine dining restaurant there is in the united states. It was way ahead of its time with its own Farm to Table way of serving people and menu. -

Delmonicos was nothing shy of amazing. Probably the best steakhouse we’ve been to - and we’ve been to many. The service, the ambiance, the food - there wasn’t a beat missed! We will most definitely be returning as well as recommending this wonderful establishment. Thanks for an unforgettable experience -

Beautiful steak house (that feels much more like an Italian restaurant). Was here for a prix fixe menu which was awesome! Baked Alaska was HUGE for dessert, could easily be split between two. -

This was an excellent experience of the first fine dining restaurant in America, and it was worth it. They delivered on great flavors, a wonderful atmosphere, and an old school charm to service. If youre able to get a reservation, do so! -

Superb. Atmosphere. Service. Food. Cocktails. House cocktails were above expectation. Foie gras and escargot were excellent. Large wine list including nice glass and half bottle selection. A hiccup on my steak, medium rare was closer to medium-well - which doesnt lose a star as waiter quickly agreed, sent it back and comped dessert. What more can you ask for? Try the hash browns and bacon. Dessert we had their famous baked alaska which was a notch above anywhere else. Delmonicos definitely pulls its weight with the best classic steakhouses in NYC! -

A serious top notch steakhouse with a fine dining heritage dating back to the 19th century. A perfect choice to bring visiting friends for elevated cuisine, outstanding service and old elegance but not arrogant. Expensive but worth it. Filet mignon was the best I ever had, juicy, melting in my mouth and with the perfect seasoning. I could eat it without any sauce (but the Sichuan pepper one was a nice touch).Dover sole was great too and lamb chops were mouthwatering. Among the sides the pommes puree was a voted winner at our table but I absolutely loved the grilled asparagus, the texture was perfect. And you must get the famous baked Alaska, it is otherworldly (especially if you love banana). The Chocolate cake was great too, not heavy at all.For a 4 persons meal with 4 mains, 4 sides, 2 cocktails, 2 deserts, 4 teas we paid $550 before tip. Not bad at all for such an experience. The only complaint is there are only 2 bathrooms for such a big place. -

Everything was perfect from beginning to end. The beverages (desperado and draft beers) were very refreshing; the bread was crispy outside and fluffy inside with a real tasty butter. The salad was a concert of flavors that blended well. The delmonico ribeye signature steak was cooked to perfection and it tasted soooo good, it melted in my mouth. The hasbrown was super tasty. And the dessert (baked alaska) presentation was a real 4th of July show!! The service was the best I’ve ever had in a restaurant, with a very attentive waitress and all staff. Definitely I’ll be back for more in my next trip to NYC. -

Excellent service and good food. We are group of 6people to have nice birthday for our friends. As soon as we got into the restaurant, they greeted us and checked our coat smoothly. All the staff were nice and kids friendly. Inside is decorated antique& modern in a nice way. We got several kinds of steaks and I tried all of them. I decided 2 recommendations. One is potter house steak and the other is crab cakes. Potter house steak is not only grilled perfect but also seasoned very well. Juicy meats were fun to feel the texture and taste. The crab cake was an unexpected and ambitious project for a steakhouse. They made it fresh and moist but not too dry. It’s enough for crispy crust and moist inside crab meat. Generally all other foods are good. Oh, their dessert has a long history and I could understand how they keep the long history. It was tasty. cocktails are fresh and pretty. -

Delmonicos opened in 1827, recognized as Americas first fine dining restaurant, but is it overrated?....Nope! Its delicious 😋We had a special birthday dinner at Delmonicos and after studying the menu beforehand, we decided on the Signature Delmonicos steak, lamb chops with hash browns and rapini as sides. And the Baked Alaska for dessert 😯😋. Best steak I ever tasted and the lamb chops were deliciousIf youre in NYC and want to spend some of that monthly passive income, I definitely recommend -

Quite an experience. You definitely feel transported to old New York. The service is impeccable and the waiters move around in a well choreographed dance. The food was delicious and the experience was overall good, but not mind blowing. I do think youre paying more for the reputation of the place than anything else, although the quality of their food is excellent. They serve New York classics, but I do feel like they were lacking in options for vegetarians, vegans and other dietary restrictions.I would recommend Delmonicos for a special occasion, but certainly not an every day affair. -

I have to be honest. It is worth to visit once but not necessary for the steak. The highlight and my favorite part was… the ✨✨✨complimentary bread on side. Really really great. We had the restaurant week brunch:For appetizers we chose tuna crudo and crab cake. Both delicious but somehow not that impressive. Like they were outstanding but I might find somewhere else serving better ones. Our main dishes were steak fries and shrimp with grits.I recommend ❤️🔥grits! It was so creamy but not overwhelming. Shrimps were huge, 3 pieces, fair enough. And the steak… dried and hard outside. Inner part was delicious tho, and they cooked it medium rare correctly. But outside the cooked part was dry, kinda cant balance the temperature in and out. Still, their fries were delicious.Dessert were good looking, making traditions different. The Alaska was impressive for sure but the taste of banana ice cream took over the whole plate. Otherwise it should be an elegant dessert.Chocolate layered cake was a classic. The malted ice cream on the side was a nice addition. -

We had reservations for a friday night at 8pm. Upon arrival we were greeted by the staff and thex quickly showed us our table.Service was fast and efficient, altough drinks took a bit longer to come out. As we were a party of two and I was the only one drinking alcohol I ordered a drink (which came a few minutes before the starter) and a glass of wine (which unfortunately came after the main course). For our main courses my side only came halfway through the steak, which was a bit of a shame.Food was very good indeed - we had the crab cake to share, I ordered the Demonico Eye with spinach as a side and my partner had the beef cheek pasta. For desert we shared the baked alaska. The steak was cooked perfectly and had an amazing crust and was full of flavor - definitely no need for any sauce whatsoever. Pasta was very good as well - as were the starter and the dessert.Well worth the visit!Edit: Im pretty sure that most of the responses from the owner here are AI generated... A bit of a shame if you dont take the time to reply. -

Had an amazing experience with the service being next level! Ask them about their restaurant, you can tell they are proud of where they work. You can’t fake that. We even got a mini tour by the GM taking time out of his evening, they should be proud of that place. Amazing food with their signature cut steak and beautifully presented, light(ish) and refreshing Baked Alaska to top it all off. Wow! -

My husband always wanted to try this restaurant due to its historical significance as “America’s first fine dining restaurant” (founded in 1837 by the Delmonico brothers), therefore, I made a reservation for his birthday. We began our journey there on a chilly drizzling night by photographing the landmarked Cocoa Exchange building (just a few blocks away) which was used as the exterior facade of the Continental Hotel in the John Wick films (Delmonico’s was also used for some of the interior scenes)… we are fans of the John Wick movies :) (https://youtu.be/35vbvD5adXk?si=uhABRG5F87xcNHyW).The restaurant treated us with fresh baked Focaccia bread and whipped butter topped with a sprinkle of black salt.We shared the burrata as an appetizer topped with lemon jello, a touch of micro green peas, balanced on top of a cream sauce made with tomato, garlic and nuts, guarded with thinly sliced pear surrounded by a lemon syrup (that I‘m learning to make) . The entrees were two 10oz. Allen Brothers Angus, SD Filet Mignons (cooked medium) accompanied with Sautéed Wild Mushrooms and Grilled Asparagus: Hazelnut, Prosciutto and a Hollandaise Foam. Our server was quick to understand our preferences and suggested condiments on the side. Service was quick and attentive. I found the Filetto a bit salty and a lot of black pepper (not a fan), The crispy prosciutto bits complimented my Filetto and I alternated bites with the sweet roasted hazelnuts that filled the palate with a pleasant nutty flavor, a memorable combination to savor.Next, were the desserts; their famous Delmonicos Original Baked Alaska consisting of Banana Gelato, Walnut Cake, and Apricot Jam (created in Delmonico’s Kitchens in 1867 to celebrate the United States purchase of the Alaska Territory). I tend to agree with one of a patrons review, The banana taste was synthetic, don’t get me wrong, it was good nevertheless. I didn’t care for the Chocolate Layer Cake with Cassis Fudge and Malted Milk Ice Cream. When asked, I was told it had cassis chocolate, not knowing what it was, Google comes to the rescue. So cassis is a boysenberry liquor not a type of chocolate lol. If you’re a fan of buttercream (I’m not), it may pique your fancy. I found it strange and salty, but the ice cream was very enjoyable. We absolutely loved the espresso “caffè ristretto, no need for sugar.”The service was very attentive, the place was clean, and the restrooms were warm. -
