Quirky is the best description. Free candy on the bar, fish tank, Jell-O shots, and plenty of board games.Great for a drink after visiting the museum of Museum of Natural History. Short walk.I won’t really call this place a dive. The atmosphere is cozy, and they have a pretty large selection of beer and liquor. -

Very cute dive spot which has a fun cocktail menu full of incentive drinks. The Adult Capri Sun was my favorite and That Pink Drink was absolutely delicious. They did get a bit crowded with a birthday celebration, so note that this is a bit of a smaller space and may not be the best if you have a super large group. The bartender was chill, kind, and attentive. Overall a nice place. -

Great little bar by Central Park with very decent prices. The bar tender was great, would chat with us occasionally and answer our touristy questions. My husband was very impressed/pleased with their selection of Irish/Scottish whiskeys; he was able to try many different things. I was really happy that the house wine wasnt just a crappy boxed wine. They have a fun big tub of little rubber duckies that youll some times find in your drinks. Highly recommend if looking to get out of the hustle and bustle of the city-were midwestern so we love a more divey bar! -

This place is a great neighborhood bar! 🍻 Dice 75 serves a wonderful selection of draft beers! 🍺 They also have lots of board games 🎲 available to play! Staff 👨🍳 is friendly and service is quick. They have plenty of outdoor and indoor seating. 🪑 I wish I came here earlier! -

Was in town with my boyfriend trying to find a place to chill and we came across this spot. What an excellent find! We had some good drinks and chilled outside watching tv. We met a really nice fellow by the name of Zeus, who had the place all put together and looking nice. He even gave our pup some water. He was very friendly and definitely made the experience for both of us. This will be our spot to hit every time we come to NYC. Can’t wait to come back next time! -
Review 6 (2024-05-25 - Rating: 5)
Great place for reasonable beer prices especially in Manhattan near the park. I had fun! -
Review 7 (2024-06-24 - Rating: 5)
I stumbled across this bar as I was exploring the city. Stopped in for some AC, the restroom, and a drink. Im not sure of the bartenders name (he stated he was in flying school), but he was so friendly and really made it a fun experience. He spotted right away that I was a tourist by my South Louisiana Accent, LOL. Most small bars that you walk in like this can be awkward, but not here. I will definitely be popping back in on my next visit to the city. -
Review 8 (2023-01-21 - Rating: 4)
A pretty cool bar. The decor is nice. They have board games to play. They allow food from outside. I would suggest making sure you bring enough condiments. Salt, Peppa, and ketchup. If you want extra flavor. Their happy hour was not too bad. We had about six drinks. I think for about $50 or so. Overall, not a bad place. They have a cool jukebox too. The bathrooms were clean. -
Review 9 (2022-03-20 - Rating: 5)
Dive 75 is an excellent Upper West Side pub! My girlfriend and I thoroughly enjoyed our time there sitting at the bar. The bar staff are knowledgeable, friendly and courteous, and the place has a nice selection of craft beers, ciders, and liquor. We also witnessed our first round of pickleback shots: A shot of whiskey with a chaser of pickle juice. To each their own! -
Review 10 (2018-04-02 - Rating: 4)
Tourist visiting NYC. Needed a place that wasnt too expensive or overcrowded. This place delivered. Bartenders were very friendly, wasnt overcrowded, drinks were reasonably priced, and they are open late. Barely any women the night I went, but got to talk to some cool locals. Nice fish tank. Would definitely go back. -
Review 11 (2017-03-27 - Rating: 4)
Its a dive, so the name is appropriate. Large beer selection along with liquor and wine options. There is a large fish tank, electric fireplace, lounge area and games to play. No food here, but you can bring food in from the outside (I recommend Freddie and Peppers pizza). -
Review 12 (2024-04-20 - Rating: 5)
Great place to have drinks with friends. Awesome staff and plenty of board games to enjoy. -
Review 13 (2023-12-13 - Rating: 5)
Cool, casual, non-fussy joint. It went from 0->60 on a Tuesday though when they host trivia at 8pm.Don’t go then if you don’t wanna play trivia 🫣Otherwise - very enjoyable. Not really a food place either. Mainly just drinks. -
Review 14 (2018-09-07 - Rating: 5)
Cheap beer and candy on the bar. No food options, but a great place for an afternoon beer. Also a decent selection of board games that are quick and social. -
Review 15 (2023-08-18 - Rating: 5)
The best bar we visited in NYC! Great reception from the bar man, good pricing, even gave us chocolates which was a kind gesture we really appreciated (the only place that did this). Highly recommend! -
Review 16 (2019-07-09 - Rating: 4)
Nice dive bar with a few couch seats located on the upper West side. They had a decent collection of board games that were free to play. Their giant Jenga set is pretty fun to play with. Had a good variety of commercial beers and craft beers as well. Could improve on the ambience a little bit though- it was very dark inside. -
Review 17 (2011-07-10 - Rating: 4)
Looking for just a cheap casual place to go for drinks, then head on over to Dive 75. The place is small but there are a few cozy corners and a bar to hang by for a while. They have plenty of board games for you to play with while having a beer with friends. I have also seen candy on the tables at times. There is no food at this bar, but they gladly allow you to order in- even have a book of menus from around the area. Dont expect anything fancy in terms of decor and drink but they do have an impressive selection of craft beers at very decent prices. The bartenders are super friendly. This is a great local hangout. -
Review 18 (2018-07-25 - Rating: 5)
I have enjoyed this bar since Ive been in New York. I hadnt been in the past few years and I can say that its exactly as I left it & Im delighted. The fish tank and board games make this bar feel like youre in a living room. The staff is so friendly, patrons are also pleasant. Its a real neighborhood bar that I can not recommend enough. -
Review 19 (2018-10-18 - Rating: 5)
My husband and I visited Dive 75 on the last night of our week-long holiday in NYC from Scotland, UK. We were shattered and just looking for somewhere comfy to chill out, and Dive 75 proved to be perfect! We got great seats at the bar (I even got a swirly bar stool), loved seeing the bright fish swimming around the tank, watched some sport on the big screens, had some very reasonably priced drinks and crisps/chips (great cider), borrowed one of their board games for a few rounds and LOVED the free chocolates/candies. It was a Tuesday night, not too busy or too quiet, and we felt totally at home throughout. Would recommend and go back there next time were in NYC. -
Review 20 (2019-02-16 - Rating: 4)
Pretty cool place. Good happy hour prices. They keep candy on the counter. Board games to play in the corner behind the fish tank. Beer selection was alright, although they dont have Yuengling. There are two single bathrooms, the one on the left was clean enough. -
Review 21 (2019-12-25 - Rating: 5)
Love this place. Jose the bartender is an absolute gem. Super polite, fun and professional. He went above an beyond by lending my son his personal cell charger. I am in my 50s and my son is half of that and we both love this place. Eclectic crowd of super friendly people. Great selection of booze and the toilets are spotless. A big tell of how well the beer tapa etc are looked after, in my opinion. I believe this is a sister bar to Dive Bar, ( lots of tv screens for sports, if that is your want, but the crowd is far more eclectic and friendlier than the average sports bar) on the Upper Westside on Amsterdam, which my son and I also love. Dive 75 is fantastic for drinkies after trolling through Central Park. Highly recommend. -
Review 22 (2015-01-02 - Rating: 5)
Name does describe it well, but Dive 75 isnt just ordinary dive bar. First of all its not that dark like many dive bars which is great. Ambient and colors are a bit more lively as well than an average dive bar. There is one communal table and some couches in the lounge section and high tables at the bar section. Staff is great and friendly to a perfect extent. There are many board games to choose from for extra fun and a jukebox as well. Prices are fair and drink selection is on point. -
Review 23 (2023-12-07 - Rating: 4)
Decent cocktails, solid selection of bourbon, scotch, and Irish whiskey. Good beer offerings. Prices are decent. They have Jell-O shots, if that’s your thing. We had Dr. Pepper Jell-O shots, because why not? They tasted like Dr. Pepper. So, great job! -
Review 24 (2020-06-27 - Rating: 5)
Dive 75 has been a consistently great go-to spot for all the friends and family. It has a relaxing lounge area in the back where you can drink with the fishies. The staff are super nice and attentive to customers. They also feature sports games and more intimate games, such as Connect Four. Keep the 75 dive alive! -
Review 25 (2023-02-05 - Rating: 5)
Dive bar on UWS. Low key but can get crowded. Lots of beer choices and cocktails. Great for small groups or date night drinks. Staff is friendly! -
Review 26 (2019-04-20 - Rating: 4)
Our regular local bar. Crowded over the weekend starting Friday night. Board games, fish tank, decent cocktails, more than decent beer menu, two unisex restrooms... definitely recommend this place as a locals hangout. -
Review 27 (2019-09-11 - Rating: 4)
A little on the pricey side, but well worth every penny. Service was fantastic, and cocktails were very good! Had great selections of brews as well. Will definitely be back! -
Review 28 (2022-05-18 - Rating: 5)
This is a dive bar... its in its name. If you like dive bars, its great. If youre expecting Applebees, its terrible. The bartenders are super nice and they have a wide variety of drinks -
Review 29 (2016-02-16 - Rating: 5)
Truly a Dive bar at heart, but its the varied beer tap and bottle list which puts this a notch above your standard watering hole. Average service and a good vibe makes this a great place to chill with friends for a couple of drinks. -
Review 30 (2024-07-21 - Rating: 5)
Nice spot. Great company. And, of course, a cool fish tank! Beers are cold and the company is warm. -
Review 31 (2018-02-13 - Rating: 5)
Good bar with great service. The fish tank is the most important part of this establishment. Have a lull in conversation? Make an observation of a fish in the fish tank. Date goes to the bathroom? Stare at the fish and contemplate if your existence parallels that of the fish. Getting drunk? Talk to yourself out loud while people around you think youre talking to the fish. More bars should have a fish tank. -
Review 32 (2016-08-07 - Rating: 4)
Nice place to hang out, doesnt get shoulder-to-shoulder full. Quiet enough to talk. Mixed drinks are definitely not their strong suit, but they did have a lot of beers. -
Review 33 (2018-01-25 - Rating: 5)
Good beer selection & great bartenders, especially Joseph. He has Superpowers! Crowded bar? No problem! You will be well taken care of. -
Review 34 (2017-12-01 - Rating: 5)
They hold fun trivia nights on Wednesdays and have a great selection of beer. It isnt afraid to admit that its a dive bar, but probably one of the cleanest ones Ive seen. -
Review 35 (2021-08-13 - Rating: 4)
This bar is aptly named and a great option for a quality neighborhood watering hole. Non pretentious, pleasant/courteous staff, very friendly patrons, and drinks that wont break the bank. -
Review 36 (2018-05-01 - Rating: 4)
Great selection of beers. A bit crowded so ordering can be a bit of a wait though. They have a few nice touches, complimentary sweets or mini chocolates, and board games. -
Review 37 (2018-08-24 - Rating: 5)
Great small place, they let you bring your own food and have a good selection of beers. Also, free candy! And the bartender that I met was super nice -
Review 38 (2024-06-02 - Rating: 5)
Came here with several colleagues after the JP Morgan Corporate run since it was nearby the finish. We all had a blast! We wanted a chill spot just to be able to throw back some cold ones and this place did not disappoint. Our bartender Jose was extra attentive and courtesy despite it being pretty busy. Will definitely be returning. -

World Cup on, good beer list, candy on the bar, fish tank, nice crowd. -
Review 42 (2016-12-31 - Rating: 4)
Friendly faces and off the beaten path for a good solid pour of whisky. One of the female bartenders doesnt like me because I punched some dude who was harassing a girl who then fled and obviously didnt corroborate my story. No good deed goes unpunished -
Review 43 (2023-01-16 - Rating: 4)
I was there on Sunday night. They closed at midnight. Too bad that bartender didn’t do last call. Because I still want another drink. Google business said closed at 4am tho -

Review 48 (2021-10-24 - Rating: 5)
A fun and chill local bar, their cocktail draft was pretty good and strong and it was cute that they added like little rubber duckies in each drink. -
Review 49 (2020-01-24 - Rating: 5)
Chill atmosphere with excellent service. The mules are enough to keep us coming back. The aquarium, games and vibe are all bonuses. -
Review 50 (2022-10-02 - Rating: 4)

I stopped by dive 75 last night after work tonight and I had the best experience ever. Josie is the best bartender, he’s great at making drinks and is a genuine human being. As someone who has worked in the restaurant industry for a long time his work ethic and genuine care for who he is serving is incredible. Definitely stop by if you’re in the area -
Review 64 (2017-03-19 - Rating: 5)
I took a risk and held my birthday party at Dive 75 without having previously visited. It was a huge success! We took a spot behind the fish tank (which is awesome) and throughly enjoyed ourselves. Drinks were good and fair priced. The bar tenders were nice and quick on their feet. I got a thank you from them for bringing my party there, which was very thoughtful. We played Adult Apples or whatever and it was fun. Fish tank was half empty in prep for a cleaning. Joe the bouncer explained. -

Review 81 (2023-07-17 - Rating: 5)
Moon Sheffiel was the most amazing waiter we’ve ever had the pleasure of being served by in our many years of New York City dining. From start to finish, he made us feel like the only people in the restaurant, though it was very busy. He made our experience absolutely unforgettable. He alone is worth coming to the restaurant for. And this is all not even mentioning the superb food quality. Cannot recommend this place enough. A sublime experience. -

I love this place, really I do. Weve lived in the neighborhood for the past 4 years and got lucky to be so close to this charming watering hole. They have great seasonal beers on tap and the servers are friendly as well. Its a small space, so its gets crowded quickly during popular hours, but if you go a little earlier, you can grab some good seats at the bar or by the window! -

As someone visiting NYC, I LOVED this place! The vibe is incredibly cozy. This cozy atmosphere includes board games, a mock fireplace, low lighting, a couch and candy throughout the entire bar. Seriously such a chill bar. The reason for the 4 star review is the two times we visited the bartenders under-pour well beverages. Otherwise, I can’t say enough good things! -

Review 114 (2016-12-31 - Rating: 4)
Ive been here a couple times now and generally enjoy the experience. The bar isnt huge and does get fairly crowded at times but you can typically find a chair or two. Theres a decent selection of board games to choose from and Id highly recommend it for groups. I love the digital beer signage and their selection is better than most in the area. Craft beers start from $7 and go to around $10. A Titos cocktail was $9. Definitely not a bad neighborhood bar. -

Wolfgang and Skylar are quite literally the best bartenders I’ve ever had -

Solid small bar. Went before a show at the Beacon theatre. Tables weren’t cleaned off when we arrived nor when we sat down but it was slightly busy. -

Great local. Good prices. Super friendly staff. Jukebox (just lay off the metal). Trivia every Wednesday night at 8pm. Will definitely be back. Na zdorovie! -

LOVE! This place and all the sister bars. Had a big group in town and was looking for a place we could hear each other and all find seats. This place delivered! No food but friendly with letting us bring food inside. Games galore! Great place for a group for a chill board game evening, not so much if youre trying to go clubbing. -

Nice little dive bar located on W 75th street on the upper west side. The drinks are inexpensive and they even have games to play. Dive is a nice spot for small groups to get together or even pregame before going out -

Not a dive bar! Nice cute place in the Upper West Side with great beer and a nice set of board games to keep things lively. Had a blast playing giant jenga here! -

This really isnt a sports bar. They may occasionally have sports on the TV, but thats not the focus when you come here. Really: this is just a his is a fantastic bar. Not as divey as with name would confer, but definitely not fancy. The best thing is the excellent beer selection, including always having Belgian Gulden Draak on tap!!! If you dont know, thats a rarity and you should try it. They also have games, friendly clientele to play with, and a really cool fish tank. They always have candy out too. :-) -

Dive bar with board games and snack sized candy bars. Super-nice bartenders, and strongly poured drinks, make it one of my favorite dives in the neighborhood. Decent looking crowd, also, on weekends. -

Fun place, decent drinks small sel of beers but not a bad selection. There are a bunch of different games to play with you and your friends. The place has an electronic jukebox. Not too bad a place to hang with friends. -

My ex and I could never agree on anything - expect Dive 75. How they’ve survived in the UWS hyper market, who knows! Love the beer menu - and the fish tank. -

Review 153 (2018-01-05 - Rating: 4)
Your typical dive bar, good selection and prices with fast service. I come here when I need a quick few drinks before attending an event at the nearby AMNH. -
Review 154 (2012-03-22 - Rating: 4)
Good draft beers and dismal divey decor - I love it! They will let you order food in which is just fantastic (chowing on a delivery pizza which slugging beer is about as good as it gets). Its a friendly crowd with solid service and board games if your company isnt very talkative. -

All the Dive bars are the best bars in NYC! -
Review 156 (2018-02-18 - Rating: 5)

Its a classic dive. Decent selection. You need to order delivery for food. Standard dive for the neighborhood. -
Review 164 (2013-03-23 - Rating: 4)
Probably my favorite bar in the city, Dive 75 is laid-back, friendly, reasonably priced and convenient to the 2/3 at 72nd Street. Plus, theres board games and a fish tank! I will often schlep my groceries here after a trip to Trader Joes. Since Dive 75 doesnt serve food, you can bring your own food in or order delivery, and enjoy a cheap meal with a beer and a board game. The draught list features several interesting selections, and they always have candy at the bar. -
