    Went here on a cold Sunday and it is such a cozy place! It’s decorated beautifully for Christmas and a great place to watch some football. I got the spicy bowl, per the recommendation of our waitress, and my fiancé got the curry wrap. They both had an excellent amount of spice and were tasty. They also really filled them up with chicken. Hard to find a place in the city that gives you that much protein for a reasonable price but they do it!

    Overall a great bar with lots of seating both downstairs and upstairs, sometimes they open the back patio as well, it is super nice.The menu is extensive with lots of great options, I think the hidden gem here is the salads, I got the Cobb salad and it was great. Lots of bacon and chicken, put a little Buffalo sauce on it and you’re set.Service is thoughtful and speedy, not much to ask for from a great city bar. Come for the game or a late night munch.The Philly cheese sliders are delicious, along with roasted veggies, and the Buffalo wings.

    Random find and truly superior.After just bailing out of some other absolutely abysmal pub, Doc Watsons was exemplary.Attentive bartenders. Even during shift change.The key and control of any bar is their Bar TENDERS. You are on point.

    Docs is the first place I bring all my friends and family. The atmosphere is always somewhat like home. From bartender to owner, server to manager, every person makes sure you get that exact experience. The chicken curry is amazing and always tastes exactly like it does in Ireland. The Irish breakfast (or any item on the menu) is such a generous portion. I love how Docs work with local businesses and in particular Orwashers, for the tastiest focaccia to complement the steak. Every time I visit docs, I always leave happier than I went in.

    Very hospitable and full of locals. We were in a seating area that wasnt quite the bar or quite a table and everyone was willing to jump in and help us. Nice happy hour deals and daily specials. My girlfriend just moved to this neighborhood and I can see this being a regular casual watering hole!

    I have popped into this bar on and off, but when my normal sports bar couldnt play the Steelers game on a busy Sunday at 1pm (satellite issues from the terrible rains), I wandered in here to watch the game.I was greeted immediately by a friendly young woman who pointed out the tv with the Steelers game when I asked if they had it playing. She gave me a table facing it, which was awesome! I was checked on multiple times by every person working on the floor that day. Everyone working there was efficient and so helpful and friendly, despite the busy-ness of the bar. I felt very welcome, despite taking up a two-top table as only one peep.I got the ahi tuna tacos to eat, and they were absolutely delicious! They are on the appetizer menu, but they made for a great lil meal. There was a whole lot of tuna, perfectly seared, and I was surprised by how filling they were. They were also (as I mentioned) so yummy!! So happy about that choice, because pub food can sometimes be a gamble.The bar was very crowded, seemingly with an event going on in the downstairs as well. Regardless, the service was beyond excellent, and I felt very welcome throughout.A++ on the experience (except that the Steelers totally blew the game, so sad). However, the servers (psychic-ly?) gave me plenty of napkins with the tacos with which to wipe my tears, so another feather in their caps 🥹👍10/10 will be back

    Overall rating: 4.6Super cute, watering hole in UES. I was in the area meeting friends and I really felt the local vibe which is hard to come by these few days. I got an espresso martini which was really good, but the sliders were OMG AMAZING. Very filling, very delicious.I was expecting the fries to be alright, but damn, they were good too! I’m so surprised for a chill bar.I wouldn’t mindddd if the prices were more reasonable, but I don’t expect anything else from eating in Manhattan. I’m not going to let the price affect how good this slider was!I recommend giving it a try if you’re in the area!

    Fresh food and fast service! The food does need a little bit of seasoning though.I came here for restaurant week with a group of friends. The food came out relatively fast and hot. Although I do believe the food could have used a bit more seasoning, it was still delicious! For the price of the food, it was definitely worth it. Everyone was full and each person had at least two to go boxes for the leftovers.I would definitely come back again.

    Great bar for sports, conversation and even just to have a drink. Lady at the behind the bar was fantastic, funny and she added to the whole vibe of the place. A great spot for a drive and conversation.

    Excellent vibes, a cute lil spot with a backyard/beer garden as well! I came here with my boyfriend on a Friday afternoon and we were seated immediately (with the preference of inside or outside - plenty of space so a good place to bring friends as well). We got there just in time for happy hour ($1 off all cans, drafts and well drinks). We ordered the chicken breast strips with the jalapeño mango dipping sauce and a cheeseburger with all toppings. The food was piping hot when it arrived and tasted very good. The dipping sauce was amazing - so amazing I wish I would buy it myself. The cheeseburger was huge, total worth its price and cooked to medium rare perfection. Will def be coming back here!!!

    Stopped in for lunch, I had the Turkey bacon wrap and fries. The wrap is fresh and stuffed. I like my fries well done so they are crisp, and they came just the way I like. Service was great and a good price. I will be back.

    Came here for New Years and it was perfect!! It was not packed at all (stinks for them) but they handed out beads, crowns, and noise makers. Was a perfect way to ring in the new year.

    Solid bar with solid food. Went here for the jets game on a Sunday afternoon (4pm games). Small crowd. Mostly older folks. Lowkey. Not loud.I didnt love the cocktails. 4 out of 7 options have coffee or espresso - not always a bad thing but its like 5/6pm and Im not looking for that. The mule wasnt my favorite. The cocoa bomb was great.I got the Jalapeño mango wings and they were not hot. Definitely sweet. 10 medium sized wings. Not breaking any records here but they’re good. Fries were great. Sliders were good. Solid all around.

    A quick decision for the super bowl. Doc Watsons wasnt as loud as 4 other bars nearby on 2nd Avenue but loud enough for a buzzing atmosphere. There werent any seats left so we stood near the door. Waiters were courteous and didnt mind sharing the waiter station with our drinks. Large and mid-sized flat screen TVs made for great viewing wherever youre facing and the sound was loud enough that you could hear commentary but not blasting your ears that you couldnt share conversations like the other bars. Good selection of beers and wine. The food that came out of the kitchen was well presented. There were streams of food going out the front door with deliveries so it must be good! Easy place with no pretenses. Would visit again.

    Wonderful brunch with delicious eggs florentine. Hubby had all American breakfast and he said it was very good. Reasonably priced and a really fun and attentive waiter. We will be back next time were in NYC.

    I’m glad someone recommended this place. Coz we always go to McLean avenue to get the proper Irish breakfast. This is a decent one. $22.50 for fixed brunch with 2 free drinks was a great deal! I wish they use the nicer sausages from the Irish shop butcher.

    If youre looking for a place to chill out with a couple of good friends during Happy Hour, look no further. Doc Watsons is a definite go-to location. I love the selection of food, great atmosphere, and overall vibe of this place. With no item on their menu exceeding twenty bucks, you can enjoy a beer-or two, or three...and not worry about burning a hole in your pocket by ordering a juicy hamburger. Live a little and try this place out. Its definitely worth a visit.

    Nice brunch spot, with a fixed price of 18$ and two drinks. The food is pretty good and there’s quite a wide choice of things. It is quite clean and it’s a nice pub. Staff is nice although our waiter kept stressing us to leave (it was quite empty) I always take the avocados and toast, today was the first time that my eggs on top were over cooked, but our waiter took care of it rapidly and it was delicious as usual.

    UES is packed with pubs, but Doc Watsons stands out for the quality of the food. It’s flavorful and very reasonable, probably the best in the area for its type. Good draft and drink selection as well.

    It is the people that make this bar amazing! Incredible atmosphere. Pretty good food. Good drink menu. It isnt about the food or drink at this bar, you will meet people and make friends here and that can be difficult in NYC.

    The beer selection is pretty solid with a lot of classic Irish and American picks (any place that serves Magners is already winning with me) and if you go on Tuesdays, you can pair a beer with a burger for like 12 bucks.They also serve these fantastically lethal mason jar drinks. The prices are pretty decent and they have drink specials that go until 9 even on Fridays!Definitely heading there for Celtic music night.

    Superb beer prices, tasty bar food and a great atmosphere make this place one of my favorite upper east side spots to hang. Great for Monday Night Football w/ killer deals and a great crowd. It almost makes me feel like Im Sonny from Big Daddy when I hang out here for MNF. Just without the annoying kid in tow.

    In the city this weekend, visiting from NC. My buddies and I stumbled upon this place as we walked by. So glad we did. The beer selection on draft was great, and the sports on the tv were really good. Huge shoutout to the bartender, Morgan. The best bartender I’ve had in my 24 years of legally drinking. He asked our names and never forgot them, even though there was a full bar. The guy was awesome! Go here, sit at the bar, and strike up a conversation with Morgan.

    A nice Pub for food & mingling. There are many amenities that are offered at Doc Watsons. I must say that there is a downstairs area that has a lovely garden. The service was friendly and positive. Great to watch a game while hanging out with friends. After being in this location a quick google search pointed me to Doc Watsons. Glad that i went and have a wonderful time. I was told on some night there is live music. Also many television sets through out the Pub, the prices was very affordable and being in this area made getting to the subway very easy didnt have to walk far to get to the train. i would definitely return to Doc Watson again & i would recommend others to check this place out. So the next time you are in the neighborhood stop in and have a great time..

    I moved to the area this past August, Doc Watsons was one of the first places I tried out and it is AMAZING. As I was moving in everyday we were bringing stuff up my mom and I would come here for their lunch special, its kinda become our favorite place on the Upper East Side. Their burgers are absolutely incredible, and an amazing price, too. Brunch is also awesome and the best price on the UES (an entree and two drinks included!). The wait staff is always super nice, the atmosphere is really fun. Also great for ordering out, but its so fun to visit, too!

    Doc Watsons is everything I seek in my neighborhood sports bar: a comfortable but not overly casual atmosphere, universally viewable TVs, a selection of local IPAs, and a reasonably priced homemade veggie burger. Whats more, its airy when the weathers nice, and the staff is always friendly and (generally) attentive. Doc Watsons is certainly among the neighborhoods top spots for a casual drink or dinner—particularly if theres a game to watch.

    My friends home town is Yorkville , so I happened to be in the area. We needed a quick bite to eat and happened to come across this spot. It was about mid afternoon , so I got the chicken fingers and french fries. Pretty good stuff; the fries were crips and the chicken fingers were tasty. I got my food pretty quickly and everyone here was pretty friendly. Looking forward to coming back during the NFL season.

    Docs executes very well for what it is: a beloved neighborhood bar, which just happens to be Irish. Brunch is fantastic and the crowd is always a mix of young and old, locals, and footie fans.

    My favorite spot in NY to watch UEFA Champions league games and Barcelona games. They respect soccer and have a nice European crowd. Great food service and bar too

    All I can say is thank you to our servers Kaylee and Danielle who were outstanding! Our company, Eastside Massage Therapy celebrated our 35 year anniversary downstairs in Doc Watsons private room. We decorated this party room in a festive manner (they were so accommodating and let us bring balloons, cake and private decor) earlier than the party and 28 people that work for us really enjoyed their cocktails and meals. The food was very fresh and enjoyable from the appetizers, salads to the fresh salmon and the burgers. Its a great place to have a healthy and tasty meal! They have had the same chef forever and thats why I booked this venue for drinks and food! The music was very appropriate hip and fun as well. We were happy to have our gathering in a party room with a fireplace and outdoor view. I highly recommend that you book your birthday bash, family gathering or employee party there...you wont be disappointed! The owner and staff are extremely caring and professional. Great party and experience for all concerned! P.S. There is NO CHARGE for use of this room if it is reserved and confirmed. Amazing!

    Irish-style pub with an excellent selection of beers to pick from, both American and Irish. I particularly favor Guinness and they serve it just as it should be served, frothy on top.On Tuesdays, they offer a great deal with their burger, fries and draft beer special for only $12. It is well worth it. I had the Docs Squealer. Nice and juicy patty, cooked medium well with fresh Brioche bun and crisp round fries in a little side bowl. Delicious! They offer extras of just about anything so you can vamp up your burger even more.They offer tasty appetizers that pair well with their drinks and some eally good specials during Happy Hour wih proper drinks that are not watered down.The atmosphere is great, with a chilled vibe and relaxed feel. The staff is attentive and the service is speedy. Will definitely make this my go-to spot for a good stiff drink and amazing burger.

    We ordered giant and delicious burgers that came with lots of fries. The service was excellent, very friendly and attentive.The place is a pub with a chill mood and a relaxed atmosphere.I highly recommend it!
