    What a find! My friends and I were looking for somewhere more low key to have fun and dance, and stumbled across this spot.Dream Baby looks unassuming from the storefront, and when you go in, it looks like your regular bar. But if you go to the back and make a left, you’ll find a back area designated for dancing, equipped with its own bar, a live dj, and a disco ball! On the night we went, the dj was playing banger after banger, mainly songs from the late 90s to early 2000s-2010s.This spot seems to have a good variety of drinks, from speciality cocktails, to beer, to seltzers. We mainly just stuck to the beer and seltzers because this was the last stop to our bar hopping. We ended up staying until they closed at 2AM, and enjoyed every second of it! Definitely recommend if you’re looking for a place to have fun dancing, while not being too packed.

    I love this bar, its staff, and its regulars. Oh, and the drinks!As a neighborhoody, this is a special kind of place. Want to drop in for a great cocktail for a decent happy hour price? Done. Want to dance on a Friday night? They got you. Need to use the bathroom? They’ve got three. Want to have your birthday party here? Sure, why not!Special shoutouts to Darlene, who is an absolute jewel of a human being and one of the best bartenders in NYC. The space is clean and inviting, the cocktail list is varied and delicious. Pretty good beers on tap. No food, so only come thirsty.Remember to tip your bartenders!

    Super thankful Dream Baby is still here after 12 years. The staff is amazing, the weekday hangs with neighborhood folks are really lovely, and on the weekends there’s a great dj who plays the best music for dancing!I’ve hosted many birthday parties for my friends (and myself) over the years and the attention to detail and care is specifically special here!We need more places like this in NYC!

    Really relaxed vibe and welcoming bar. Easy and laidback stop for a drink. Nice space, dark with candles and mood lighting and good music. Cocktail menu on the mirror (all $14) a little hard to read from afar. I got the New York Buck with gin and it’s fine, which is a lot better than I can say for a lot of cocktails. Either the name is outside or I missed it!

    Dream Baby is a hidden gem in the East Village. During the week, it has a relaxed, laid-back vibe, but on weekends, you’ll find a line to get in. My favorite time to visit is when Darlene is working and Danny is following up. I have so many great memories there, all thanks to them.

    Fun place to come on weekends if you want to dance. Theres a great DJ in the back room. Even during the week days if you want a chiller vibe the AC is nice, the cocktails are delicious and the bartenders are super friendly. Plus its a nice clean bar, good vibes and lovely decor. The inside is perfect for bringing a date for drinks, to book a table for any celebration or just chill at the booth w/ some friends. Its the best bar on the block. As a local I can say anytime you come you’ll have a great time.

    It’s the only bar I’m comfortable going to really. All the bartenders are awesome, super chill and easy to talk to. Their service is attentive and always on point. The atmosphere is really laid back during the week and turns up a notch on the weekends of course. They have a back room with disco lights and a awesome DJ. I celebrated my birthday there and had a blast!

    I love this bar, and the staff are incredible. The drinks have always been great, the music is well-curated, and the DJs know how to set the vibe. I like to go before it gets really crowded, though, because a lot of the young uns in the neighborhood were not raised to respect other humans, and it shows. Cons: Sloppy, entitled weekend patrons. Pros: Everything else.

    Super chill! Love the music and ambience. Maybe it differs per night, but it has a been a rock and roll music vibe my past couple times there, which is my fave! Also, I left my card there on accident and when I came to pic it up, they were super accommodating and understanding. Was not a problem or hassle at all! Super chill staff!Highly recommend!!

    My new favorite EV bar! Great back room with disco ball for dancing and makes for a perfect IG shot! We booked a party here last wk and had a blast! The manager was so sweet...my friend lost her wallet and she found her on IG and sent us a message to pick it up. The staff was so friendly! Theres no table service so it was cool to be able to bounce back and forth from the front to the back and dance. Everyone had such a great time were already planning our friends next party there, thanks Maria for making it so easy!

    One of my favorite EV happy hour hangs. excellent bartenders, great cocktails, and...very key...always good tunes. friendly enough to roll in on your own, and giant comfy booths if youre with a crew. plus, ive thrown at least 3 holiday parties in the back room for startups - always a win.

    Hip lounge bar. Gets crowded but cozy on the weekends. Great place to meet and drink with friends. Its not too loud to talk but still lively. Drinks are reasonable and the service is friendly. The DJ plays classic pop hits.

    Just a brief piece of NYHC history, if memory serves me correct this store front was home to The False Prophets, and also their practice space.Spent some time there in 1983, man those were the days !!So if Im ever in NYC, Ill be sure to check out this little bar Dream Baby out as I bet its great :)Cheers......

    What an amazing place; excellent cocktails and friendly people. It has been the highlight of our New York trip.Sadly we missed the drag queen acts in the second bar but we met and chatted to the performers who were just so lovely. The music was excellent- not one duff tune in the whole time (I couldn’t stop myself from dancing in my seat), and everyone we met was just so friendly that it made a very fun and memorable night.

    Good spot to start the night. Though be warned that it gets overly crowded at times and you can barely move, let alone dance. So come here early at night to claim a good spot and camp for the rest of the night if you want to go to one place for the night. Drinks are good.
