    This was our first time trying Empire Steak and man was it great!First, we showed up early for our reservation but they worked hard to get us in early. Next, our server Leon was extremely attentive and did a phenomenal job! And the manger checked in on us as well.Lastly, the food was amazing! We have been to a lot of great steak places and I would put this one of the best!If you’re in NYC I highly recommend this one!

    Absolutely delicious dry aged steaks, well aged, well seasoned, and fabulous crispy crust on the outside. It’s perhaps one of the best steakhouses in New York City. The portions of their steaks are absolutely huge even by New York standards. We ordered medium and despite the size, it was cooked just right. Their services are excellent and attentive throughout, Ridi who I believe was the manager of the restaurant served us was really lovely and went above and beyond. Highly recommended and would definitely go there again.

    Went here for one of our friend birthday.The food was excellent,the service is great.Host was so nice,the server split and served the food for us, the manager checking on us to make sure everything is good.We having a great time, also got tiramisu on the house for my friend bday.Overall very happy with the food and service.

    I can not say enough positive things about this establishment. We were greeted by a friendly host and the manager, Ribi. We were a half hour early for our reservation and they were fully booked for the evening but accommodated us and sat us right away. We had a very personable and attentive server named Albie . They had 2 runners who made sure our drinks were kept filled as well as our complimentary bread basket that came with butter. My husband ordered the Bronx tail which he really enjoyed. Lots of seafood in a spicy sauce and linguine. I ordered the filet mignon, cooked medium. It was cooked perfectly. They have an inhouse steak sauce which is out of this world. Very delicious and flavorable. We order a side of the macaroni and cheese... It was creamy and yummy. We did not have room for dessert but they have several selections. We are from New Jersey. When we come back to New York, we look forward to coming here again. I would not recommend bringing children. This is also a nice place if you are celebrating a birthday or an anniversary. Very nice atmosphere for it....

    From start to finish this was exceptional. I would give more than 5 stars if I could. We are here in New York on our sisters weekend, they made it very special with cheesecake for their birthdays, complementary Port Wine to go with it and just overall atmosphere and wonderful staff and people. Shout out to our waiter Nikola. Made our night very special ❤️

    The food was amazing. The waiter was friendly. They only serve wine and beer. The owner came to our table to see how everything was. Gave us complimentary glass of Port wine. Its your typical steak house, a little pricey.

    The food was incredible and the service was the best I’ve ever seen. The prices are high, but well worth the atmosphere and service. Oscar was an amazing and took care of all of our needs.     Went here for my husband’s birthday and I must say I was impressed. We were warmly welcomed at the door and seated in the perfect area. Our server Nicolas was very attentive and polite. We had the grilled octopus and shrimp cocktail for starters and the wagyu tomahawk for 2 with broccoli and potatoes as our main course. I must say the wagyu was cooked to perfection and very flavorful. The entire experience was amazing and we will definitely be back!

    Its all about the meat! Which, was fantastic. An off Times Square steakhouse that really delivers. Great meat cooked extremely well. Good selection of sides to compliment the main event. Loved it.

    Bit too loud for a private anniversary. But maybe just coz of the time of the year. Christmas holidays. Wagyu steak was expensive but large and well cooked. Servers were very pleasant.

    I was not blown away by the food but it was very good. I personally think the fillet minion pepper corn sauce was a little too “strong” for my taste but everything else tasted great. I told the manager I was too full and he served me a wine on the house to help digestion. The hospitality is amazing and I left happy. Thank you.

    I decided to treat myself to a solo dinner at this restaurant, and Im so glad I did. Despite dining alone, I felt welcomed and comfortable thanks to the attentive and friendly staff.     Wonderful experience here! Everyone is SO attentive and everyone helps each other which is so great to see!The food was to die for!Surf and Turf with the shrimp (and side butter) was amazing!My husband had the lobster ravioli and everything was amazing!!!Very accommodating and attentive and a nice little spot in NYC!

    I’ve been here for my anniversary with my gf. We ordered lobster soup, caesar salad and T bone steak for 2 with baked potato.Soup and the salad was really nice to start the dishes. And the steak was really nice. It was really big for us actually, but anyway bigger the better :)Also they greeted and cared us through the whole time. After all the meal, manager gave us free port wine to finish the meal and it was sooo good.I was really satisfied and happy that I really recommend to all the people who are trying to visit here. You will never regret it. I really want to visit this place again next time. :)

    Best steak I’ve ever had!! I have been to a lot of upscale steak restaurants and I have to say this is the BEST petite filet I have ever tasted. Atmosphere and extraordinary service was perfect!! I finished with the Lavender Crème Brûlée and it was OMG DELICIOUS!! I cannot say enough of how wonderful it was.

    This Empire Steak House is relatively new and does not have a bar for mixed drinks, but that’s the only drawback. The food is incredible and they have more than a few steaks to choose from. They also have some no steak options for folks who prefer.Even without the bar, they had a great wine list with options for every wine drinker and/or budget.The service was spectacular. We sent one steak back to give it a little more heat and it was brought out very quickly and was amazing kudos to the staff and manager on Christmas Eve! It didn’t even feel like we were dining with other people because of the attention received!

    If you haven’t had the pleasure of enjoying dinner here yet - just go. It’ll now be a staple for our future New York visits.The hostess was the SWEETEST woman in the world. Our server, just as kind and super prompt and attentive. Service was speedy. Atmosphere was cozy. It’s a place you should probably dress up, but on this FREEZING day we showed up layered and cozy (let’s be real, I was wearing my crocs) and we were treated just as equally. Overall, good vibes.Looking forward to next time!Only suggestion is to be very specific on how you’d like your meat cooked. My family members steaks were a bit too raw for their liking, but delicious nonetheless.

    Absolutely amazing service from the time you enter the restaurant until the time you leave. The level of hospitality is unparalleled and matched only by the quality of their food. We ordered an extraordinary bone-in emperor steak that had a very large filet mignon attached to it, and it was cooked perfectly medium rare on a piping hot plate with butter. We were waited on by every member of the wait staff and every need we had was attended to quickly. We would highly recommend this restaurant to anyone traveling in the area, especially if you are going to a nearby Broadway show. They have a special menu for theatergoers that serves you everything you need within a very short period of time for under $70. We did not partake in this offering this time, but would definitely consider it if we are in the area for a show next time.

    Very top service from the food to the service. The food was exquisite, we had the porterhouse for two along with mashed potatoes and a baked potato. Chocolate lava cake for dessert.     The quick lunch special menu offered a fantastic deal to try the New York steak. It was our last meal in New York before heading to the airport. For appetizers, we chose the eggplant parmigiana and tomato steak with fresh mozzarella cheese, both of which whetted our appetite for the main course. Our main meal was filet mignon with creamy mashed potatoes and seasoned steamed broccoli on the side. The meat was cooked medium rare, juicy, and tender. The portion was larger than expected, so I couldn’t finish it all. To celebrate our wedding anniversary, they served a complimentary chocolate mousse cake, which we thoroughly enjoyed. We showed our appreciation with a generous tip. If you’re looking for a steakhouse in Manhattan, this is the one to try.

    10/10 recommend. We stopped by here for an impromptu birthday dinner for myself prior to our Chicago show and they had availability on the spot. The entire staff was so hospitable, respectful, and super sweet. The steak, baked potato and spinach is immaculate! They ended up bringing me two complimentary birthday drinks, one red wine and the other moscato. The staff kept offering to take our picture and the pictures came out so nice, they also kept checking in with us to make sure we were okay. The music is a great selection and not too loud. When I say RUN THERE, don’t walk!! Not a single bad thing to say about this establishment. I’ll definitely be back and with friends 🥰

    To say this place was amazing is an understatement, phenomenal is more like it. First up was the greeting which was superb. Next up was the wine list. More like an encyclopedia. Youll learn a lot. The food menu was very clear and many choices. The food was out of this world. Steak was cooked to perfection just the way we asked for it. We went here because it was next door to the hotel we were staying at. And man were glad we did. They were very courteous and very appreciative. It doesnt get any better than this.     The staff were very attentive, but slightly too much. I felt like I was being constantly asked how the food was. I like to be able to just enjoy my meal in peace. 2 staff were literally racing to get me water / menus, I imagine so they could get the tips and it felt somewhat uncomfortable.The express menu included a coffee and upon getting the bill I saw that an extra $7.40 was added to the bill as I asked for a cappuccino. I thought a cappuccino was a coffee, but apparently that was not the case. They did take the cost of the cappuccino off, but after calculating tax and the gratuity (which was around 20%) which meant I was charged the tax and gratuity for the cappuccino. I didn’t feel as if this was fair, as my meal came to under $60, but I ended up paying $80 for tax, gratuity and tip. I’d recommend double checking the bill here.However, the food was great. Good portions and the lunchtime express menu was a great deal with delicious steak!

    I love this place. The food is consistently good, rather steak, shot ribs, or pasta. The service is always top notch. And the music adds to the atmosphere! It’s my go to to be near my hotel, but away from everyone else. Be aware - the portions are very large! Very worth the price. You won’t be disappointed!

    We had a wonderful dinner at Empire on Tumes Square. Hostess was quite accommodating to seat us after a matinee show. Wait staff was exceptional!     This restaurant is located on west 49th street and is something to rave about. Most restaurants near time square tend to garner more foot traffic than a typical restaurant but we believe the citizens and tourists are missing out on this jem of a restaurant. We were greeted by the chef who gave us a wonderful meal service at a extremely affordable price point ( dinner for the price of lunch) because it was my birthday :) the service was extremely polite and felt like a traditional New York hospitality. I ordered the soup of the day which was a Hearty vegetable soup that tasted homemade, my steak was perfectly cooked and my mashed potato’s were delicious. The broccoli was cooked in crispy fresh garlic. All of these flavors combined were very complementary. My boyfriend got the ragu that had slow cooked beef in the sauce. If you are looking for a high quality restaurant that will serve you food a grandmother would make. You should check out empire steak house next time you’re in midtown NYC.

The floor manager, Riddy, was welcoming and also attentive to every and anything we needed. And the food, from appetizer to entree, speechless.     Had the pleasure of coming here for dinner last night. Sat at the bar. Valentina was the server behind the bar. She was very welcoming. I ordered the jumbo shrimp cocktail and Caesar salad for appetizers. My main course I had the filet mignon 12 ounces paired with mashed potatoes and sautéed spinach. Everything was spot on my steak was crispy on the outside, medium rare on the middle and full of flavor. I absolutely loved it here. My only regret was I did not have dessert, but I’m considering after work just for dessert.

    After having a reservation at Da Marino, which they could not honor i went across the street to Empire Steakhouse and was greeted by a wonderful hostess Era.     So glad we found this place most of the offerings near Times Square are so so.However this place is Excellent! My wife and I travel a lot and have dined in many restaurants. I have to say this was one of the best steaks we have ever had and the portions are very large. The service was second to none . And in reality the prices were more than fair for the quality and excellence of the food and service of this restaurant . We had the Crab Cakes for starters followed by the Emporers Steak for two and finished with the tiramisu all were phenomenal. Thank you for the wonderful experience.

    What a find! Google reviews these days can sometimes be unreliable but Empire Steak House turned out to be a real gem. The fried calamari was cooked perfectly - crispy and tender. The fillet mignon was one of the juiciest Ive had in a while. The steak wad beautifully cooked, had great flavors and was so delicious on its own. Dessert was the tasty New York cheesecake, which was light and a great way to end the perfect meal.Service at the restaurant was superb and each staff seemed genuinely happy to be there.     Love this place! The food is phenomenal and a great restaurant to go to before or after a broadway show. I had the tuna tartare, filet mignon, and finished up with the lavender crème brûlée. When they were serving our steak, the plate on which the steak was on accidentally broke. The staff quickly sat us at a different table and worked on our dinner as quickly as possible. To compensate, they surprised us with a Strawberry Flambé made on the spot…fascinating! I would definitely go again! I’m appreciative of how well everyone took care of us there. Highly recommend.

    You absolutely have to visit this place on your next trip to NYC. The service is outstanding, making us feel incredibly welcome. The hostess, manager, and waiter were some of the nicest and most professional weve encountered. The food was heavenly, especially the meat—its the best weve ever had, no exaggeration. Even my mom, who is very particular about how meat is cooked, was impressed.

    Stumbled across this gem leaving a broadway musical. They were able to seat us right away without a reservation on a Tuesday evening. Walking in we were instantly welcomed with excellent service and the peaceful, romantic atmosphere. The food was incredible! We ordered the French onion soup and crab cocktail to start and were blown away. So tasty and generous helpings. Our main dishes, the lobster tail and lobster ravioli, were amazing! We finished off with a dessert to go. The servers we so kind and helpful and everyone attended to us with great care!I highly recommend this place for the perfect romantic experience!

    I had to leave this review quick before I forget. First off the location is perfect. It’s near Times Square without being inside of all the chaos that is Times Square. Short train ride and not too far from the ACE lines which was perfect. If you’re going to see a show, the theaters for Chicago and The Book of Mormon are right there so see a show and then grab some bites. Now on to the food. I started with the Lobster Bisque which was creamy and filled with lobster bits for some really good flavor. For my main course I ordered the Emperor Steak for 2, lobster tail, and asparagus. I’m warning you now. The lobster tail is humongous! As the saying goes, my eyes were bigger than my stomach. I did take at least a few bites of everything and it was all delicious. Perfectly seasoned and cooked to the right temperature. My stomach was not disappointed. For dessert, I initially wanted it to go but alas, the dessert I wanted did not travel well, so I opted to eat it in house after I had some time to digest and make room. The lavender crème brûlée is a MUST. Your standard crème brûlée but with sweet bites of lavender. Courses were well paced as well. Of course, the most important part—the service. I don’t care how good the food is, if the service sucks I will never go again (at least not if I have to pay for it). No worries here though. The service was on point from the time you enter until the time you leave. I was promptly greeted and escorted to my table. When I sat down I was greeted again and offered a variety of water and menus. As I waited for my water, I was brought some fluffy bread and butter. The service just flowed. As I dined, my server, Albin consistently checked on me to make sure I was okay and was enjoying my meal. Manager, Riddi, could be seen making rounds in the dining area as well. Offering suggestions and making sure guests were satisfied. He even took these lively pictures for me. Overall, I had an enjoyable experience and would definitely be back. Wonder if they are open for the holidays so I don’t have to cook (haha). Thank you again to the entire staff for this experience!PS; They offer half bottles of wine as well. This is something that over never seen at a restaurant. I normally have to order a full bottle and either down it all or wast money. The half bottle is unopened but not the full 750ml of standard bottle. It was a much appreciated option.

    We booked this restaurant for our wedding anniversary because of its 5-star rating on Google and its convenient location, just a 4-minute walk from our hotel. The restaurant is in the heart of New York Times Square, surrounded by several theaters. We opted for the dinner set menu for $60, which includes a choice of appetizer, entrée, and dessert.The restaurants layout is a bit tight, but theres enough space for the staff to move around and do their job efficiently. For appetizers, we tried several options, but the standout was the eggplant parmigiana. For the entrée, the steak was the winning choice, followed closely by the salmon. For dessert, everything was suited to everyone’s liking.Regarding the service, it took a while before we were attended to. I’m giving a 4-star rating because the service at our table was mediocre compared to the service at the table next to us. Although we are Asian, it’s fine. I just hope the service would be consistent for everyone, regardless of race.
