One of the greatest Mediterranean (Greek) restaurants in New York. Highly recommended for their amazing appetizers and main courses. The lamb chops, lobster pasta and fish are a must!

  • Review 2 (2024-10-03 - Rating: 4)

The dining room has not been updated in 25 years since it opened. The food is very good but not amazing. Picking out your own fish is silly and ends up feeling like a rip off on price. The salt baking takes an hour and can only be done with very expensive larger fish (not worth it, grill is best preparation). Tomato salad is their best item. Fries are $15 per serving!! The zucchini chips are $30 each! Everything is a la cart. Desserts are disappointing. Service was not well coordinated and a bit odd personalities. This place is part of a chain with not great store level management. Still was packed on a rainy Sunday night. They have a 3 course pre-theater menu for $65 pp. Our bill for 5 people was $564 plus $100 tip (my husband is a generous tipper😩). We felt it was overpriced but we still like it and would probably go back because we do like good Greek food.

Milos is a well-known restaurant in the United States. However, compared to some other places Ive visited, I found that their menu lacked variety. The appetizers were the highlight, but the main courses didnt have the same wow factor. The service is excellent, and the atmosphere is classy. One of the best things about this place is its fixed menu for pre- and post-theater dining. The restaurant stays open until 12 a.m., making it a great option for a post-Broadway show dinner.

Been going to the original location in Montreal since 2010 and randomly when I’m in the City so to come across this location in NYC was an absolute delight! The food is TOP NOTCH Greek food, it is so fresh and tasty. We ordered almost everything off of the app menu and had the Seabass baked in Sea Salt - it was DIVINE!!! definitely a must try. The venue is gorgeous and clean. Thank you Estiatorio Milos!!! 😘 🤌

A truly fantastic Greek dining experience. The service was extraordinary from the point we walked in until we left. Our party of six shared a number of appetizers and entrees. Every plate was fantastic. We especially liked the salted Loup de Mer and the Lamb Chops.

During lunch at Baccarat, we overheard a gentleman, who claimed to be a personal friend of rapper Jay-Z, mention that he was heading to Milos for a meal. Intrigued, we decided to visit Milos for dinner. Our experience began with Georgios, our captain, who escorted us to the back of the restaurant to showcase their fresh seafood selection. He explained the various flavor profiles and preparation methods for the different fish and curated a tasting menu for us. Although he offered “smaller” portions of some popular dishes, the servings were quite generous. The service was decent, especially given how busy they were on a Monday afternoon. My only negative is that a couple of times they brought out the next dish while we were still working on one, making it feel a little rushed. It is advisable to make a reservation for weekends.I highly recommend the fresh scallop ceviche and the Branzino ceviche. While the octopus was decent, I have yet to find perfect octopus, as it often tends to be too chewy. The standout dish was the Milos Special. The paper-thin zucchini and eggplant, fried to perfection, had a great flavor and texture. The ranch-like tzatziki dip complemented the dish well. Although the saganaki seemed out of place, it was tasty on its own.The grilled sea bass was light and simply cooked, drizzled with olive oil, making for a pleasant conclusion to the savory portion of the meal. Although it did lack salt, I respect letting the flavour of the fish to shine through. For dessert, the Baklava was fresh and not overly sweet, with a nice flaky texture of the phyllo pastry. Paired with a side scoop of vanilla ice cream, it was delightful. We are glad we followed the recommendation to dine at Milos. I recommend this restaurant for fresh seafood enthusiasts.

Always the best experience, food, and service every time I dine at Milos. Great white wine from Santorini and the salt baked branzino was amazing. The fish, oysters, and scallops were fresh and well prepared. Do not leave without trying the Greek yogurt - it tasted like I was back in Greece.

  • Review 9 (2024-08-06 - Rating: 5)

My husband and I needed a last minute reservation close to our hotel. *Insert Milos*Holy Moly. I dont know what I was expecting but wow, I was blown away. From the friendly and knowledgeable staff to our captain taking us fishing, we were thoroughly impressed. We shared with the sommelier that we are traveling to Greece this Fall. He recommended wines based on where we are traveling and helped us with some off the beaten path things to do.The food was unbelievable. The fish and vegetables were cooked to perfection. Next time we will bring more people so we can order a whole fish sashimi!

  • Review 10 (2024-07-20 - Rating: 5)

The food was incredibly authentic, and as lovers of Greek cuisine, we were thoroughly impressed. This place stands out as the best weve had the pleasure of trying. The lamb dishes were particularly noteworthy, with generous portions and bursting with flavor. Cant recommend it enough!

  • Review 11 (2024-05-21 - Rating: 4)

Came here for lunch with some friends and the food was quite good. Focusing more on seafood, they had a great variety to choose from on their 3 course menu.At 48 dollars, it was rather worth it. I quite enjoyed their octopus starter. The octopus was very tender. Worth a stop.

  • Review 14 (2024-05-17 - Rating: 5)

So are you up for some authentic Greek food? Not Greek-American food (a loose adaptation of the original), but authentic Greek food: Its going to cost you about $10k. I figured a couple of plane tickets (and youre flying coach!), a modest hotel room, some freshly caught seafood that was still swimming in the Aegean Sea that morning, and a few days of jetlag. If youd rather spend less time and money, your only option is Milos on 55th Street. Its like eating in Greece, really--no exaggeration, but you wont need your passport. Having been born and raised in Greece I can say as much with the authority of a local. Milos is not inexpensive, mind you, but you get what you pay for. The seafood on the menu is not necessarily whats available: Thats the whole point of catch of the day; you never know what youll catch, and things run out! But you can go right up to the brightly lit ice counter and pick your own fish--theres a wide variety! Your server can help with recommendations; if you want mine, go for tsipoura (sea bream) grilled, with just olive oil and lemon, barbouni (red mullet), fried, or glossa (sole), preferably fried--but grilled works too. A grilled lavraki (sea bass) is a good choice too! We havent touched on starters yet, and its a crime to skip those: Order a Horiatiki (a tomato salad with cucumbers, green peppers, onions, kalamata olives and feta, with olive oil and vinegar) for sure, and dont forget the Milos Special; razor-thin slices of zucchini and eggplant, lightly battered and flash-fried, served with thick tzatziki (its not a sauce folks; its a dip!) and fried haloumi cheese. The grilled octopus is tender and delicious; I wish it didnt come with onions, capers and the like, because just oil and vinegar makes it perfect! The Greek Spreads sampler platter is a winner too when it comes to shareables! Horta are dandelion greens, boiled and tender, served with olive oil and lemon; a standard Greek staple (order some as a side dish for the fish or as an additional starter). After dinner, save room for galaktoboureko, a square of phyllo-covered milk custard pie that will make you feel like youre in Greece! Greek yogurt with honey is also a common light and healthy dessert! Karydopita, a Greek walnut cake, is wonderful too. The service is prompt and friendly. When Vassilis swings by your table to see if everything is ok, tell him nothing was ok: It was spectacular. Youll be telling the truth, and youll be back to Milos in Midtown over and over again!

  • Review 15 (2023-11-07 - Rating: 5)

Hands down the best Greek food outside of Greece. I can never have another tomato unless it comes from Milo’s! The food is incredibly fresh and service is top notch. You’ll see that from the moment that they bring out fresh herbs and trim it for your olive oil and bread. I recommend the Greek salad, the eggplant and zucchini tower, and the grilled octopus

  • Review 16 (2024-05-12 - Rating: 5)

Had an extraordinary lunch here at the bar. Sampled many of the fresh seafood offerings - langoustine, cravette Royale, live scallop and soft shell crab. Each dish was incredible- fresh and perfectly seasoned as to not overpower the fish. Service is absolutely excellent. Could not be more pleased with this restaurant.

  • Review 17 (2023-11-22 - Rating: 5)

We recently dinned at Milos for our anniversary and had an excellent visit! We have dinned at Milos in Montreal but this was even better. The fish was fresh and tasted amazing. We had the Balada and it was nothing like we had ever tasted. So fresh and so moist. We will be visiting again next time we are in town.

  • Review 18 (2024-10-25 - Rating: 5)

A big restaurant which doesnt feel big. Spectacular quality Greek food.. The best octopus we have ever had, great fresh grilled fish ( lots of other choices but why make things complicated).. Wine list really good. Definitely a place to return to.

  • Review 19 (2024-10-20 - Rating: 4)

Had the price fixed menu and the food was good. Starter of the tomato and bread salad was disappointing. No flavour and bread was soggy.Should be crispy.Had the beef fillet as the main which was delicious. Dessert was good too.We were also offered the standard a la carte menu, which was ridiculously expensive. Stick to the after theatre a la carte menu. Even if you dont eat it all. Cheaper than the other menu.Staff were generally helpful and dealt well with some abuse from one of the people at my table (sorry!)

  • Review 20 (2021-10-23 - Rating: 5)

First time here and it was an extraordinary experience. All staff, from hostess to servers and Manager made feel so welcoming and comfortable. I didnt have a reservation, and Im not sure if helped that I was by myself. They all delivered an outstanding service. Talking about the food Ive never had a Salmon medium term cooked so well. I doubted on getting it medium but the perfection of the texture was surprising. Theres a company of beans more as decoration, but they were savory. For dessert I had the Yogurth with honey and walnuts and it was superb. I really loved it here and easily will come back and make it a regular.

  • Review 21 (2023-12-04 - Rating: 5)

This is the original Milos, which has now become a fairly large high-end Greek chain with around 10 restaurants worldwide. Milos is one of the original power lunch spots for Greek cuisine. Ive dined here a dozen times or so. They have a wonderful prefix lunch menu, and the service and atmosphere are always lively and fantastic. Along with Avra, Milos is the best Greek spot in Midtown Manhattan. Both great places to host lunch.

  • Review 22 (2024-05-29 - Rating: 4)

Came here for dinner before our show. The restaurant has a beautiful decor. The food was fantastic.

  • Review 23 (2022-05-14 - Rating: 5)

Went on a friends recommendation. Shared with my dinner partner the three Greek spreads and perfectly grilled octopus. We also shared grilled branzino. The fresh fish selection is beautiful. Had the walnut cake for dessert. It was delicious with wonderful spices. Spacious restaurant and attentive service.

Besides greek, one of the best places in Manhattan. The big star is freshness of fish! Service, distance, clean, ambience, presentation, all are 10. And you pay its value. We come every year. Is a must

  • Review 26 (2023-05-07 - Rating: 4)

Had an early drink at the bar after a matinee at City Center. Nice room, friendly bartender. Started to feel a little claustrophobic as pre-theatre diners started to fill the room. Maybe a little better traffic direction as people file in. Cocktails were decent. Had an olive plate to snack with the drinks.

  • Review 27 (2020-03-15 - Rating: 5)

This was my first time at Milos and it was for an special event. The staff works very hard to ensure that our experience was an exceptional one. From the moment we arrived and was greeted at the door, I felt we were at a restaurant that caters to its customer every need. The private room for our event was decorated nicely, the wait staff and chef made great meal recommendations. Our table enjoyed spreads from grilled octopus, calamari, and fried zucchini. The fish was some of the best Ive ever had. You just simply can’t go wrong.

  • Review 28 (2019-10-28 - Rating: 4)

If you’re in NYC and looking for fresh seafood, this is the place to go ! You can choose to go up to the variety of seafood on ice and pick the specific piece of fish you’d like or the waiter can bring to you their suggested choice. The environment is reserved and classy. The food is savoury and very succulent.I would have easily rated them a 5 star if the waiter and/or kitchen hadn’t made a mistake in regards to my allergy alert. I pointed out the error prior to consumption and they immediately made me a new meal. Though I still had to wait for a new meal, nor did they remove it off of my bill which was disappointing. So if you have allergies be aware.

  • Review 29 (2023-01-25 - Rating: 5)

One of my NYC fav restaurants that I was turned onto by my A-Lister cousin a few years ago, and have been back may times ever since. Very consistent food and service, and always a busy and lively place to enjoy in Midtown! I highly recommend it. Its on the pricier side, but well worth it!

  • Review 30 (2024-11-02 - Rating: 5)

First time at Milos before seeing a show at City Center. Love the healthy choices on the pre-theater menu. We shared everything: grilled octopus and tuna tartare appetizers, perfectly cooked Dorade fish and lamb chop entrees, and we both enjoyed a fresh fruit platefor dessert. Sweet, perfectly ripe, and delicious. Well be back!

  • Review 31 (2021-12-10 - Rating: 5)

Superb quality and thoroughly enjoyed Saturday brunch in their beautiful environment. Highlights included the octopus appetizer and the crab cake and arctic char entrees. Their Santorini White wine was enjoyable as was their espresso. Look forward to returning.

Went there with my clients for dinner. Were 200% satisfied, and my clients are so happy to got to know this great Greek authentic restaurant! Staff are working hard, friendly, no bad attitude to Asian people (us). The sommelier gave us good advice when choosing wine. And the food we ordered were fresh and amazing! My clients loved the lobster pasta!!

  • Review 34 (2024-07-05 - Rating: 5)

The atmosphere is very nice and open. The service was great. They took us to the booth to pick our own fish. And choose what we want them to be cooked as. The food was really good and we also choose a great chardonnay to go with the seafood. For the dessert, the creamy pastry is really great. I would bring my parents here next time

  • Review 35 (2022-05-21 - Rating: 5)

Five of us showed up, slightly slovenly due to running in the rain to make our reservation and we were treated very well. Seated immediately and brought water, bread and roasted veggies. We picked our fish with a request of no head, please...we couldnt decide on one way to have our fish. We ended up with absolutely delicious fish, cooked two ways. Very relaxing, yet classy atmosphere. Our waiter was friendly and handsome, if I might add. No one tried to rush us out and I was particularly impressed with that, as the restaurant and staff were going to be celebrating Greek Easter at the end of the night. It was quite expensive but worth every penny...oh and the wine was delicious! Will be back!

The ambiance is elegant yet comfortable, making it the perfect spot for a relaxing brunch. The brunch menu is a delightful blend of traditional and innovative dishes, all prepared with the freshest ingredients. The seafood selection is particularly impressive – we enjoyed the sashimi and the tuna, both of which were incredibly fresh and flavorful. The lamb chops were delicious. The Greek yogurt with honey and walnuts was a perfectly sweet ending to our meal. The service was greatThe quality and presentation of each dish were impeccable, reflecting the restaurants dedication to culinary excellence.Overall, our brunch at Milos was a truly wonderful experience. Highly recommended for anyone looking for a top-tier brunch spot in New York!

It is a restaurant specialized in fish, they bring it 3 times a week from Greece, you can also find incredible cuts of meat and lamb! We tried fish carpaccio, lamb and a rib eye with 21 days of aging, everything was incredible! The service, presentation, and atmosphere were incredible! It is an elegant and special place to share! 100% recommended! I would travel from Miami again just to eat here!

  • Review 38 (2024-11-01 - Rating: 5)

  • Review 39 (2020-08-22 - Rating: 5)

First time out in a while and I’m happy I came here! There was a bit of a wait even with a reservation, but definitely worth it. The service is amazing. I asked questions about the menu and the waiter was straight forward about what he would recommend and whether the food was too much. We placed an order and he literally came back saying he didn’t place the dish we were hesitant on saying it was going to be too much food and boy was he right (also saved us $$$)!But honestly, the food was beyond amazing. Get the octopus for sure as an appetizer, cannot go wrong. The fresh fish comes out de-boned, and so good. The drinks, strong, just how I like it. Even got a complimentary dessert on the way out!! Will definitely be coming here again.

Simply delicious on everything, highly recommended for special occasions🙏🧿💖 Little details that make all the difference of the world: the guy that brings, to start with, the precious greek extra virgin olive oil and the little pot with basil.. very well done🙌

  • Review 42 (2022-06-23 - Rating: 4)

I had made the reservation only 24 hours prior and I was pleasantly surprised to get a table for 2 around 7pm. Firstly, the restaurant was jam packed, which normally can be frustrating but at Milos, the crowd really forms part of the vibe. One thing I would say is that Milos is centered around seafood. Yes they have some land lubber options but you are selling yourself short if you don’t focus your choices around the incredible seafood selection. The raw bar is pricy but spectacular. We ordered a raw platter for the table that included oysters, crab legs, shrimp and lobster claws. All deliciously fresh. With respect to the main course, you can practically pick what you will eat. The servers do an amazing job of explaining the menu and the specials. I had the branzino and it was very tasty. The service was excellent. And although it was busy, I didn’t feel like we were rushed and the food came out in a very timely manner (but not too timely if you know what I mean). My only real issue is with the price. It’s a tough nut if you are going on a date where the expense account is off limits. All in all, a very enjoyable experience. I look forward to my next visit.

  • Review 43 (2020-01-04 - Rating: 5)

My all time favorite restaurant in the city! Really elegant and delightful atmosphere. Food beyond this world. Every dish is simply prepared and presented. Fish is so fresh-- much better than the Miami location. Lunch menu is an excellent value. My favorite dish on the menu is their Greek salad with fresh tomatoes, cucumbers, feta that melts in your mouth, and greek olives. The yogurt is extra special with the rich greek honey.

  • Review 44 (2024-10-28 - Rating: 5)

Take a step back to the old country and enjoy the authentic flavors and preparation of Greek Cuisine at it finest in NYC. Service, Ambiance, Quality, and total experience is A+. Enjoy!

Romantic dinner date at Milo’s with my husband of 35 years! My wonderful brethren Josue and Luis guided our selection of seafood and dessert. Todo delicioso.

  • Review 46 (2019-03-23 - Rating: 5)

Classy bougie seafood restaurant. Great location in central midtown, beautiful interior & exterior design. Tables are spacious and seating is plenty. Made a reservation through opentable and we were given a private table one floor up from the rest of the restaurant.Service is extremely professional and food is amazing. Totally worth the money, especially during restaurant week.

  • Review 47 (2023-08-20 - Rating: 4)

Amazing food with impeccable service. Did not care for the prices. The only reason I give 4 stars is you can have comparable food elsewhere for 75% of the price.

  • Review 48 (2021-11-30 - Rating: 4)

Great food and service. The fish is fresh and prepared to your taste. The Branzino is excellent, along with the lemon potatoes and grilled asparagus.

Great mediteranean eatery. We picked our fish, and they grilled it. Tsipoura was deliscious.

  • Review 50 (2024-05-12 - Rating: 5)

The experience justifies the price. I’ve dined here multiple times from date nights to 8+ guest work dinners. The experience is never disappointing. If you want the best fish and shellfish in Manhattan that is prepared to your liking, you will not be disappointed.

  • Review 51 (2018-10-23 - Rating: 4)

Good atmosphere, especially outside. Felt a little out of place dressed casually for lunch. Seems more like an upscale business lunch place. However, good food, well plated. Service a little on the slow side at lunch, 15 minutes before anyone came up to give us water and asked us if we wanted anything else to drink.

  • Review 52 (2020-12-08 - Rating: 5)

Love the inside decor, its as if you are in Greece with the olive trees and sheer drapes. Great food and wine selection. We sat outside this time and it was a bit too cold so bundle up if you cant get inside.

  • Review 53 (2018-08-12 - Rating: 5)

Best restaurant week experience of this year. Their $26 lunch menu was three-course, which was unusual as restaurant week goes. The free toasts came with extra virgin olive oil and fresh oregano, cut from the plant at your table. The grilled octopus (regular price $30) was quite substantial and tender, served with perfectly creamy mashed potatoes. The main course, Dorade Royal, was cooked with refreshing reductionism. Excellent quality olive oil, lemon, and capers preserved and accentuated the sea-fresh flavors of the fish. The dessert karydopika (reg. $14; Greek walnut cake with honey lavender ice cream) was a tad too sweet for me, but I liked the ice cream very much. Wish they could make it into a dessert on its own, or even better, a soft serve! What made Milos’ approach to seafood cooking precious and endearing was their caution against excessive seasoning. It was too often that one hour or two after I had grilled seafood I would become uncomfortably thirsty, a testament to the amount of salt and seasonings the restaurants had employed to make their seafood “flavorful”. But not Milos. The serving size was a bit too much for me, but maybe guys would find it satisfying. The place was sleek and smart, the service efficient and not intruding. Overall a fantastic experience. Maybe one day I’ll try their pre-theatre menu before catching a show at NYCC.

Food: 5 starsService: 3 starsAtmosphere: 4 starsOur lunch dining experience at Milos got off to a bad start, making us wait 15 minutes for our table despite having a reservation. This included seating another party of two before us, despite having clearly arrived after us.Once we were seated, we were given olive oil and bread, but no aromatic herbs in the oil, like the tables around us. Warm bread was good.We ordered 2 business lunch menus. Starters were salmon tartare and octopus; both good.Mains were the grilled fish of the the day and we got the lobster pasta ($20 extra). The fish of the day had numerous fish bones so that made it less pleasant to eat, despite being cooked to perfection. Lobster pasta was good and creamy. The most underwhelming part of our lunch was dessert, which should really be improved. We tried the cake and the yogurt, both okay but an afterthought. The best thing we ate was the Milos Special, which is from the a la carte menu.To finish off, we were asked three times in the span of 5 minutes by the same waitress if we wanted coffee or tea, which felt a bit unprofessional.Overall, Milos is worth it for the business lunch but I would not return for dinner given the high prices and not exceptional service. It’s a very large restaurant and it’s super full so I would not go for an intimate occasion. It felt like everyone was there on a business lunch. They did not have the lamb chops, which was one of the only non-fish options on the lunch menu. It’s a solid 4.5 stars of a place. Spent $170 (tip included) for two people- drinking water.

Delicious seafood restaurant in a beautiful setting. Indoor and outdoor seating. Fresh fish served daily. Really enjoyed the octopus and the fried zucchini chip appetizers. Make a reservation in advance as it can get very busy. Also the space can get loud, especially the downstairs seating area.

  • Review 69 (2024-01-03 - Rating: 4)

Very good, the Milo’s special is delicious. The octopus starter was a highlight and the big eye tuna was very good, I particularly loved the pairing of beets with the almond garlic purée. If you get dessert I would recommend the yogurt instead of the cake.

I have dined at Milos 3 times over the past years and every time is welcoming, warm ambiance and attentive service. The price is reasonable for the type of special occasion dining. Seafood and pescatarian lovers dream. I will return!

What can I possibly say that hasn’t been said 1000 times before about Milos? An absolutely incredible restaurant from beginning to end. The food is simple and impeccable and the technique is out of this world. Everything is perfection. The staff are professional and keep just the right amount of distance. The space is gorgeous and airy, but it does get crowded and loud as to be expected but again last night was one of the best meals I’ve had in years.

Great place. Fantastic fresh food. Wonderful service at the bar

  • Review 75 (2023-08-24 - Rating: 5)

Wow! It had been some time, since I had such delicious grilled Greek seafood. Love the freshness, quality and taste of the seafood.I recommend the oysters, salmon cooked to medium (to bring out the creaminess) and the grilled whole fish. The salmon was out of this world! Please order it as medium (never well done!) We came here twice during restaurant week! The grilled octopus (needs to be softer and less charred) and grilled squid (needs more charred and more seasoning. Am not sure stuffing it woth cheese is a good idea. Why? Because you cant char it as well on the inside) were nice (4 out of 5) but i have tasted better at other Greek or Seafood places. The walnut cake is too sweet to be soaked in honey. Just a drizzle on the side of the place is adequate.

I have been to Milos a few times and like it but I don’t love it. Food is simple, fresh and has good taste but not the most memorable. Definitely not something I crave but don’t mind going back. The space is nice and the service very good.

Food was fresh, tasty, and their dishes were both well plated and cooked to perfection.Their offerings werent overwhelming in quantity but they were all well presented and delicious.I did like the idea of being able to pick from their fresh fish selection. We picked a larger fish that was able to feed 3.The drink offerings were good as well.It was a nice Mediterranean and open ambience. Good for a date as well as family dinner.Reasonably priced for seafood in NYC. Definitely picturesque and a fine meal

Can’t write enough positives about Milo’s! As soon as we walked into there last night, we experienced a welcoming vibe. The food was fresh & fabulous, the decor minimalistic & organic & the ambiance palpable . However, I would like to recognize & commend Marina & Fotis in charge of the bar. Marina multitasks by interacting with the waiters, making drinks while talking to us! She is a natural who is sincerely interested in pleasing everyone at the bar. Just professional & very likeable! Fotis is also talented & explained the mechanics of running a popular bar. He is personable with a beautiful smile! They seemlessly work together & make it look easy! We love going to Milos & highly recommend it! Can’t wait to revisit Milos & both of them! It is our new favorite place! Thank you!!! Pat C

I love that they’re Vegan friendly. Their Greek spread isn’t Vegan, but they were willing to make me 2 vegan friendly spreads that I could enjoy with my pita. I also ordered the assortment of grilled mushrooms and it was incredible. I ordered the Gigantes as well, which is the white beans baked in tomato sauce, which wasn’t bad. The beans were a little bit hard and could’ve used a bit more seasoning. But, overall it was great food we all had and the service is 10/10. Harry is awesome, along with the girl who was shadowing him :)

Havent been here for years and were pleasantly surprised. We were 4 people and were seated downstairs having been told its quieter. It wasnt. Eat upstairs. Food is very good and waiters extremely well trained. They are trained to up-sell and they do that in the nicest way. As we are sophisticated diners, they cant get away with that with us. That said, they try..........but in the nicest way.

  • Review 87 (2023-11-15 - Rating: 4)

In my experience going here several times, the menu is hit and miss. The last time I was there, I ordered the tuna burger and found it tasteless and dry. Very disappointing. Also, the upstairs room gets quite noisy when it fills up, which is often. Some dishes, like the branzino, are exquisite, and I really enjoyed the lentil soup as well. Overall, if you stick to Greek food, you will do well here. But if you want a quiet and calm atmosphere in which to enjoy a meal and conversation, the upstairs area is not the place. You might have better luck nabbing a table downstairs, which has a quieter more intimate feel.

  • Review 89 (2024-03-29 - Rating: 5)

I had the thorough pleasure of dining here with my business partners and, let me tell you, Milos is TRULY AN EXPERIENCE TO BE INDULGED! We were celebrating our first year in business and thought it only appropriate to gift ourselves with a fine dining experience.Firstly, I have never tasted a better OLD-FASHIONED than what I had here; crisp, balanced, smooth and simply divine. It was so well-made I ordered a second. To further titillate the palate, we ordered a dozen RAW OYSTERS (à la carte), which were fresh, succulent and divine. Had it not been for the fact that we were eating more food, I could have easily order another dozen, just for me.We all went with the 3-course lunch option - HIGHLY RECOMMENDED - to carry us through our experience. I started (or continued) with the OCTOPUS, which was char-broiled and absolutely HEAVENLY. The plating was magnificent and the balance of flavors with the pureé was exquisite. From there, I moved on to the TUNA BURGER. I order that primarily because two of my partners already ordered the HALIBUT, which was a generous replacement of the sold-out GRILLED FISH OF THE DAY. So I went against the grain and selected something different; and I’m so glad I did. Paired with lightly fried zucchini sticks and a daikon radish salad, this was not typical tuna burger. For a visually simply dish, the flavors were bold, complex, inviting and astoundingly refreshing. I could have easily ordered a second of everything, to go.I finished my course with the KARYDOPITA, a Greek spiced walnut cake, which came with honey lavender ice cream. Simply DIVINE! Again, I am extraordinarily grateful for Milos and the Service Staff for making our First Anniversary one to remember and cherish! You would do well to treat yourselves to this top-tier, noteworthy experience, and for no other reason than YOU deserve to treat yourself. You will be so happy you did. I have no doubts that I will be back; and if you see me there, don’t stare, say heylo!

Can’t help but notice the brightness of Milos from the street. The food is as good as the space itself. Service was outstanding. We have eaten at the Vegas location and there is no comparison that NYC has better food.

  • Review 91 (2023-01-06 - Rating: 5)

Clean, fresh, straight to the point what you would expect from Milos. The space is beautiful and it lives up to Montréal and London.

  • Review 92 (2022-11-29 - Rating: 4)

Pricey but phenomenal quality, flavors and service. Highlights: selecting your seafood from the ice bar to be prepared as you like, flavorful starters and perfect ice-cold martini. The whole fish was prepared just right. Good for a special occasion given the prices, but we sat at the bar and loved our meal here.

Top notch seafood in a feels like you are at the greek seaside atmosphere, with high-end service and high quality wines. Pricey, but worth it for a celebration or different dinner than the steakhouses of Midtown. Worth a try and the wines wont disappoint!

We found Estiatorio Milos online after attending a Broadway Show (Wicked) which didnt wrap up until almost 10 pm. We wanted a nice restaurant but finding something open late was difficult. We also wanted something within walking distance of the Gershwin Theatre where Wicked plays. We quickly booked on OpenTable and found it an easy walk (about 5-7 min) from the theater. When we arrived, we knew the kitchen would be closing so we asked the waitress how much time we had - she was extremely helpful and polite and made sure we got our order in with no issues. We ordered a dozen of the oysters (she recommend two different types but I dont remember which ones) ... we also ordered an EXCELLENT WHITE WINE from Italy that was semi-sweet but not super-sweet. After the oysters, we added a crab cake that was AMAZING - plump and full of crab meat but also full of exquisite flavor. Our main entree was the jumbo shrimp and I can honestly say I have NEVER seen shrimp (not prawns) as big as these. They were packed with flavor and cooked perfectly. My only regret is that we ordered a dozen instead of 1/2 dozen and couldnt really take the leftovers with us.Finally for desert we selected the cheesecake - it was excellent but would have been better with some fresh berries or caramel. All in all this was an EXCELLENT FIND and we will be back in the future the next time we visit NYC!!

Started off on a pretty bad note.... We made a reservation 3 weeks before and was brought downstairs to be seated where it was 20% full and was shown to the worst table there, right next to the hallway to the bloody toilets! (See pic)Immediately asked to be seated further inside the restaurant. The table we finally got was a reasonable one but first gut feel was terrible. The food we ordered was very fresh and succulent. In particular we enjoyed the scallops and the lobster pasta. Huge portions! The appetizers were good and there was a healthy selection of drinks. Desserts were also well done. Service was very good though the exception was really the first sitting of the table. The restaurant quickly filled up so of you want a seat at this place, book early... And funny get the table next to the toilet!

  • Review 103 (2021-12-02 - Rating: 5)

My favorite restaurant on the trip. I mean, Greek style brought to simplicity and perfection and elevated with world class ingredients with pedigree. Simple is always best, for those that know how to prepare it. To give you an idea we ate at 2 Michelin restaurants on this trip, and this place was way better. No comparison. 2 bottles of white wine, appetizers including raw snapper (best ever) oysters, scallops, grilled fish, desert wines, an more. Totally worthwhile, It was so good I wanted a repeat! 100% I will go back.

Great service and fresh food. What do you want more? Go for the grilled sea bass, and the appetizers shown in the photos - the octopus is definitely a must-have: super soft (and I’m an octopus-person, believe me - no chewing gum please).

  • Review 107 (2023-03-29 - Rating: 5)

Enjoyed everything on my plate. The Milos Special is still one of my favorite dishes, I also wish I got the crab cake. Here we had what felt like 3 servers. My only dislike was how close two-person tables were together. It made going to the restroom, or anywhere hard to move. Would definitely come back.

I love this place. Lunch is a great value. Yesterday, I has the salmon tartar, and it was the best Ive ever had in my life. The only reason I did not give 5 stars is that the whole fish that Ive ordered here have been overcooked both times. An expensive fish doesnt need to be nuked-- just lightly cooked so that it retains its texture and flavor. They need to knock about a minute off their cooking times.

This is my first Milos experience and outdoor dining in midtown under a canopy. Their customer service was exemplary.Food was well prepared, wonderfully presented, and delicious. Everyone enjoyed their food with no complaints. The Milos dressing on Romain Salad is the best Ive tasted - creamy yet light. The perfect balance for salad dressing.Very expensive but worth it.

What a wonderful experience!!My friend and I ordered the calamari, octopus and zucchini chips to share. They brought them one by one, very attentively so we didnt have to wait once we finished one item. Then we were taken to a live fish market where we chose our fish. It was grilled for us right then, cooked perfectly. The chef even separated it into our plates on our table. The fish was absolute perfection. The service was outstanding, our glasses were never empty and we were taken care of every moment.A true fine dining experience!!

  • Review 114 (2022-04-05 - Rating: 5)

Great experience during lunch. The price and choices for lunch are actually very worth it and pretty filling. Soup tasted great and oysters were very fresh. Salmon tartar was by far the best dish for us. The flavor was amazing and the fact that you can still taste the salmon itself through all the flavor is amazing. The lamb chops were great as well. Dessert was cake with some ice cream. Cant go wrong with that. Very worth the visit. Cant wait to come back and see how dinner is.

Food as always, is delicious.Update: May 2022The service is still great, but disappointing that the menu almost hasn’t changed at all. Tuna burger was dry and according to the waiter is served well done. Degraded from 5 to 4 stars.

Now if ots all about the food this place would be a 5. We had a selection of amazing starters, which were fab. We ordered the black seabass for the main which we chose from the fish bar. I have to say the black sea bass was amazing. ,the service was good if a little slow, but it was busy. Drinks prices were the GDp of Bolivia. Its a busy loud lively restaurant. If you love fish this is the place to come. Just make sure you put it on Expenses!

Great restaurant with a nice vibe and vibrant atmosphere. The steak and fish were both excellently prepared. I had some grilled prawns and they were delicious. Service was attentive and polite and the food came out timely. Overall, this was a good spot but the food lacked any particular wow factor.I would come again as they executed their dishes well. It wouldnt be one of the top spots Ive tried in New York though.

Convenient place for a quick business lunch. Always great service because clientele are regular financiers or well heeled tourists. The set meal is good value and quick for meetings. Regular menu is fine too but hit or miss because it’s always so busy. My best dining experience is during private dinners but generally service is always very attentive.

  • Review 123 (2023-01-03 - Rating: 4)

Bougie Greek restaurant in Midtown West, located in the Hudson Yards Mall. Prices are on the higher end. Its lavish interior design makes it a wonderful spot for celebrations and celebrities. If you are lucky enough to get a window table, you’ll have a great view of the Vessel. We had their levraki branzino from the fish market along with lemon potatoes and loved it. Expect bones in your fish. Their Greek salad and fried calamari were also good.

Been several times and the experience is always the same: amazing. The freshest fish, flown in daily, combined with the freshest ingredients. The scallops, fried zucchini, salmon carpaccio, were all great at our recent visit. Dessert was the fruit plate (don’t laugh - it’s unlike anything you’ve seen) and greek yogurt with honey (also unlike any yogurt/honey I’ve ever eaten). We also had the yummy baklava. Service is attentive and friendly. It’s a perfect New York experience!

  • Review 125 (2022-07-07 - Rating: 4)

Its definitely a nice and upscale place to go to for a fancy dinner. Unfortunately I wanted a light lunch and wanted more of a traditional Greek food. Overall the food was great and very shareable. Price range higher than expected.

  • Review 126 (2021-11-16 - Rating: 5)

Absolute nyc gem. Never knew about this place until a recent dinner date. The warehouse ceiling seems endless but the spaciousness of this venue offer comfort in spacing as well as the space to take in everything happening. There is ample outdoor seating as well and the bar seems like its on the other end of street. This place is vast. Opaque white drapes that adorned one area were a gorgeous accent. There was a moderate level of guest when we arrived but within an hour almost every table was occupied. You could tell there were plenty of regulars by how the staff addressed them.. impressive. We ordered several appetizers with a delicious bottle of white. Be warned, the servings here are generous. I got the lobster salad because I knew we had enough appetizers but an entire giant lobster came with the salad stuffed between. I couldnt finish. The staff was nothing short of excelsior. I am definitely returning with company.

Unbeatable atmosphere. Came here for the gorgeous selection of daily oysters but ended up ordering salmon sashimi, grilled octopus and fish. The grilled octopus was unique as I’ve never had it with santorini fava. So delicious! The final course was a bit delayed, totally fine as it was very busy and I am happy for them that service is picking up and people are enjoying fine dining once again. One kind server offered complimentary desert for our wait and the baklava is simply STUNNING. The best I’ve ever had.

The service was amazing, and the seafood was fresh! You can taste the difference. The calamari falls apart in your mouth and was not rubbery- yum! Thats how you know its really fresh and not frozen. The salmon tartar is to die for. The only caveat is that it is a high end place, so do dress up!

Amazing seafood - chef offered to do a mix of two types of fish to share for our table, sea bass and red snapper. Both were very tender and well seasoned. But my favorite was actually the fried zucchini, definitely set my expectations high for the rest of the meal.

Amazing food, superb service. Sea food and fish selection is practically unparalleled. On the meat side - hands down best lamb chops I ever had. Far from cheap but worth the money.

Pretty good, my wife and I got the steak (we werent in seafood mood, but family wanted to go there) and it was very good. It was also a good sized piece for the price. Family said the seafood was good. Nice classy date spot if going for something special.

Estiatorio Milos is a true gem in New York City’s dining scene, offering an exceptional experience that celebrates the best of Greek cuisine, with a focus on pristine seafood and simple, elegant preparations. Located in the heart of Manhattan, Milos is renowned for its commitment to freshness and quality, and it continues to deliver a meal that is as memorable as it is delicious. From the moment you walk in, the atmosphere is refined yet inviting. The decor is sophisticated and light, featuring whitewashed walls, rustic stone accents, and warm lighting that evokes the breezy, coastal charm of the Mediterranean. The open and airy dining space creates a sense of relaxed elegance, making it a perfect spot for everything from business lunches to romantic dinners. The experience at Estiatorio Milos is centered around their spectacular seafood offerings. The restaurant’s iconic fish market display showcases the daily catch, and guests are invited to handpick their selections, which are flown in from Greece and other parts of the Mediterranean. The fish is prepared with minimal seasoning and grilled to perfection, highlighting the natural flavors and freshness of the ingredients. The lavraki (Mediterranean sea bass) and fagri (red snapper) are standout choices, with each bite carrying a hint of the Aegean Sea.Among the must-try dishes is the indulgent lobster pasta. Made with fresh, succulent lobster and perfectly al dente pasta tossed in a rich tomato-based sauce, this dish is a luxurious yet comforting option that embodies the flavors of the Mediterranean. The sweet, tender lobster meat pairs beautifully with the savory sauce, making it a memorable highlight of the meal. While the fish and seafood are the stars, the menu also offers an array of appetizers and sides that deserve equal attention. The Milos Special, a crispy tower of lightly fried zucchini and eggplant served with tzatziki, is a crowd-pleaser, both crunchy and refreshing. Speaking of tzatziki, the classic dip is made with creamy Greek yogurt, cucumbers, garlic, and olive oil, and it’s perfect for sharing alongside warm, freshly baked pita bread. The grilled octopus is tender and expertly charred, served with capers and onions that enhance its oceanic flavors. Another highlight is the simple yet decadent Greek salad, made with ripe tomatoes, cucumbers, olives, and a generous slab of creamy feta imported directly from Greece. The quality of the ingredients extends to their meat and vegetarian options as well. The lamb chops, marinated and grilled to perfection, are juicy and flavorful, while vegetarian dishes like the saganaki and horta (steamed wild greens) showcase the vibrant flavors of the Mediterranean. Desserts are also a delight, with classic options like baklava and Greek yogurt with honey providing a sweet finish to the meal. The wine list is extensive, featuring a fantastic selection of Greek and international wines that pair beautifully with the menu. The sommelier and staff are knowledgeable and eager to help guide your choices, ensuring that your dining experience is elevated even further.Service at Estiatorio Milos is impeccable. The staff are attentive, professional, and warm, making sure that every guest feels well taken care of. The meal unfolds at a pleasant pace, allowing you to savor each dish and enjoy the lively yet comfortable ambiance of the restaurant. While Estiatorio Milos is on the pricier side, the quality of the ingredients and the skillful execution make it well worth the splurge. Never have I had a more pleasant meal. Hostess was so polite and helpful, going above and beyond to make us feel welcomed. Came here on a saturday night No reservation and waited on the side for a while and she comes to us just make sure she didnt forget about us.Service was good, attentive, and professional. We ordered an appetizer that was served fairly promptly. All the food came as ordered. I had a Lambchops which was delicious. The fish were awesome. The tomato salad was not special. Service filled water more often. The ambiance was nice. One distraction was that there seemed to be multiple servers at times. One asked about drinks and another came a bit later to take the order and yet another brought the bill. It was a bit confusing as you didn’t know who to ask for anything. As far as the bill, expect to spend between $70 to $200 person. Not an every night meal spot but nice for a special occasions. All in all, it was a great experience. Thanks for the wonderful care given to us. Forever repeat customers!

The service is amazing. We enjoyed talking wish our waiter about our fish choices and his suggestions were spot on. I have a reservation for December 6th at their Hudson Yards location. Looking forward to it!

Busy, very busy but that did not impact service or quality of the food. If its a fish meal you are looking for, the choice is amazing. More of an adult feel with no kids to be seen. I will return. Toilets were spotlessly clean.....always a great sign.

Great seafood. Definitely the best restaurant Ive been in New York so far. The grilled octopus are simply incredible and the daurade royale was cooked to perfection. The service is great even though a bit pushing us to the exit at the end.The price range for that kind of quality is just great !

  • Review 164 (2016-10-15 - Rating: 5)

Excellent dining experience if you like seafood. Make no mistake this is seafood restaurant. Your choices are basically seafood or seafood. Fortunately I love seafood. My wife, not so much. The Octopus app was unreal. I ate the whole thing myself. The crab cake was a lump of solid crab as it should be for $32 per 1 crab cake but it did lack flavor. It wasnt awesome just ok. The Tuna was some of the best I ever had and I live win Naples Florida where the fish is all caught and served with in 24 hours. I wanted to try the Lobster but at $115 per lb for a 3 lb lobster ($345) I decided that it couldnt possibly be that good. Even the bread was very good. We got a bottle of 2013 Tignanello that we paid $250 for ($90 bottle at the store) . The menu said 2012 but what ever no big deal. All in all really great food, great staff, and we paid for it. $586 dinner for 2. Not sure it was worth that though.
