    I was here with a friend and I am thrilled. The location is great. It‘s old-fashioned, has a lot of charm, a pleasant atmosphere and is always well frequented. You can sit outside or inside, where you will find a bar. The staff are very polite and quick. The food portions are plentiful. I particularly recommend the burgers, but actually everything we tried was delicious. From Monday to Friday there are certain happy hour offers that are especially worthwhile. It is a nice restaurant to go out to eat with friends.

    Came here for bottomless brunch and wasn’t blown away but it was good. I got the chicken and waffle sandwich, the waffle was super sweet and the chicken wasn’t like a homemade breaded chicken breast, it honestly looked like a frozen piece of breaded chicken. The fries were fine. My friends got the burrito and the breakfast tacos and said they were good. The Bloody Mary, Bellini and mimosa seemed like cheap alcohol but they were both fine

    This place really shocked me! If you come around 6pm on a weekend downstairs is very much lively and sometimes even packed. The food was great I ordered a burger and fries…I couldn’t even finish the burger because it was huge but it tasted great. The fries were cooked well also. We also tried the Spicy wings i would say 8/10. We sat upstairs and got to watch the Basketball game which was nice, they also have a little balcony that you can sit outside and enjoy yourself though you can’t really bring drinks out there. Overall I enjoyed myself and I had a great server but I’m sad that I forgot his name but he was also a bartender…hope that rings a bell :)

    This place just does it right! So much space, indoors and outside! Food was just spot on. The waiters were so friendly. Everything was delicious and fun. Great place for burger and beer, but the menu has a great all around selection.One tip, the Korean cauliflower was absolutely incredible! Yummy, unexpectedly tasty and delicious, must try that appetizer. Enjoy

    I was walking around the area looking for something to eat, but I wasnt in the mood for the food being offered. Everything seemed common and boring to me.Then I bumped into FIVE MILE STONE, and as I glanced over their menu, I saw that they offered Oysters. I couldnt resist, I had to have it. I ordered 10 oysters and a Guinness. They were so good, I decided to order 10 more. YummyThe customer service in this establishment was also very friendly and helpful to my crave. I appreciate the generous smiles and warm fuzzy feeling that I received from every staff member.I highly recommend FIVE MILE STONE.

    Great for events! We went to one upstairs and hey provided all the right provisions. They offered two ciders which is better than most places. The food options were delicious tricolored chips and guacamole which had real chunks of avocado, hummus with a plethora of veggies, burgers, pizza, maybe rice balls? All in all a successful event with attentive staff and fun bathtub sink in the bathroom. Would come back here again if I am ever in this neighborhood.

    Amazing food! Amazing staff! I tried the Mac and cheese and loved it. Very cheesy but not too cheesy. Only reason I don’t give it 5 stars is because I have had better Mac and cheese. I would probably eat here again (review from my 11 year old son).

    This place is my favorite tavern on the Upper East Side! 🍻 Has a large variety of craft beers 🍺 and upscale versions of your favorite comfort foods 🥨🍔🍟🥘. The nachos are an absolute MUST! The ambience is amazing and they have a terrace seating area with a fantastic view of the street. Definitely the place to go grab drinks with friends over the weekend! Staff is super nice and the service is great. I wish I had their nachos everyday!

    I just happened upon the Five Mile Some establishment with my mother on this first blustery November day in NYC. As soon as we entered we were greeted by friendly faces & voices which allows me to feel welcome. Though I am fully vaccinated, I felt even better when they asked for proof of vaccination prior to seating is (Its always in the back of my mind when I eat anywhere outside of my home).The Five Mile Stone is a visually appealing place with reasonable prices and there is something for everyone on the menu. The decor emits a feel of old NYC and the restrooms are spotless😉The variety of draft beers put a smile on my mothers face, as did the taste 😁.The food was perfectly seasoned and the portions left is being a nap from how full we were. Just commenting on how delicious it is was wont do it justice... We loved it! 🥰I highly recommend the Five Mile Stone to anyone either visiting from out of town, another country, and especially if you are a Native New Yorker.I am looking forward to returning with my family and friends in tow.Kudos & a special thank you to the owner, hostess and staff!

    Irish Pub with a good selection of beer. The burgers are good. The fish & chips, not so good. The lobster roll was great the first time with real lobster, the second time hardly any lobster, just filling. The chicken pot pie was good. Good atmosphere.

    One of the better selections of craft beers in Manhattan (that we found) and very good food. The place is a local favorite and so it will likely be crowded on most days. We found the upstairs dining room cozy yet not too cramped. The service was excellent and as a bonus, the cocktails were also some of the best we found this trip.

    I had a wonderful experience there. I had a rough two weeks, and was throwing my own pity party. Having just had surgery, I couldnt climb the stairs to the second floor. The host kindly set up a tall table with a tall chair (as opposed to a stool) for my comfort. The food - lobster roll - was delicious! The service - my waiter was Robbie - was very friendly and efficient. I also had an order of raw oysters and dessert - raisin bread pudding with caramel sauce!!!No reason at all to complain. I had a great meal. I had a nice time. I felt a lot better, and cannot wait to return.

    Surprisingly good bar (despite the bro-y feel). Two different environments in one location. Downstairs is regular bar feel with occasional live music, upstairs is more relaxed restaurant feel with outdoor wrap around patio and quieter.Pro Tip: Upstairs bathrooms are unisex.

    This tuna poke bowl was unreal! Large serving of tuna and other toppings. The sauce they have over it was great and didn’t over power the other flavors. My girlfriend got the chipotle chicken wrap and she enjoyed it but said she’ll definitely be getting the poke bowl next time.

    Nice neighborhood Irish bar with a friendly staff and a good vibe. There is a decent amount of space with a balcony on the upper floor (which gets crowded during weekend nights fast).Look out for: Live Music on Thursday nights, DJ nights on Fridays and Saturdays.Edit(sometime in 2017): Live Band/Singers on Thursdays no longer happen - seems to be because of noise restrictions.Edit 2(mid march 2018): Live music is back!

    The service and food were great. The Male host was horrible- left people standing at the door while he disappears for 15 minutes, he held the door open during the speeches so we could hear the ruckus downstairs. he was a mess.

    Five Mile Stone is a semi-upscale gastropub and sports bar that wonderfully satisfies my three evaluation pillars: atmosphere, food and service. A few personal highlights:- The draft and bottled beer selection is great, with ample IPAs, including sessions.- A smokey Malbec is among the three red wines available by the glass.- The veggie burger is homemade and can come with a side salad (with delicious ranch) vs. fries.- When the weathers nice, the open-air environment is just delightful.- From the hosts to the bartenders and waitresses, the service is exceedingly kind and accommodating. Shout-out to Meghan and Claire.- Prices are reasonable for an overall terrific value.

    As a local, I really enjoy the spacious outdoor seating and ambiance at this place (esp on the 2nd floor balcony). The service is always friendly and attentive (for watching games too), the menu has a wide variety and the food is good for dinner and brunch (straightforward food, no surprises here). Convenient location and I always enjoy coming here with friends, date nite or just with a book to read outside. Highly recommend!

    If you do not want to be dissatisfied/disappointed, stay away from the chicken and waffles - the waffle is big BUT, the chicken is basically thin chicken strips that have been fried, do not expect a fried chicken breast. All other options for Brunch are fine to have. Also, coffee is not worth it - its better to grab one before coming in; the orange juice was great though!

    Great restaurant for watching a sports game or an event on TV. Upstairs has a large projected screen for this. Food was phenomenal. The baked Mac and cheese, whipped ricotta, and pomegranate salad were my favorite items. Good vegetarian options. Not many vegan choices. Meg was our server. Meg appeared to be kind during our short interaction but she did not come back to check on how the food/drinks were going. Had to really make an effort to get their attention for the bill as well. Would appreciate a bit more attention to guests.

    Initially thought portions werent big enough but Im a big guy and was full by the end. I had short ribs with mashed potatoes and my wife had fish and chips. I thought ribs normally come grilled or bbqd but Im this case it was oven-roasted with gravy. Still very good. Price was good and we enjoyed ourselves. The ambiance is always lively. We were a couple and one out of three small groups on the upper floor on a Monday night. It was still loud with only the eight of us up there. We will go back again.
