    I was first exposed to Glackens in the 2000s by 2 friends of mine who are brothers and it was a tradition of theirs and their fathers to hit Glackens prior to Yankee games.Ive realistically hit Glackens about 15 times now, and make sure whoever I go to the Yankee game with experiences Glackens prior to.Tom Glacken is a pleasure to chop it up with behind the bar and the crowd is cool too (even at 11am. LoL - 1:05 game)

    Small and cozy old school Bar open since 1940 has wonderful classic NYC vibe. Perfect for a lazy Sunday afternoon, or pre-gaming before the game at Yankee stadium. Dont sleep on this place and help keep this small gem alive and well. No food served, but you can bring it in. Cheers to the Sunday barkeep, Patrick.

    It was the best bar we went to in the city mainly because of the genuine locals and Tommy who was running the bar. I walked into the place and it was my first pub I had been to in the Bronx and I was welcomed with a hand shake and introduction. I went in all three days I was there to start the day and in one case...after the afternoon Yankees game. I met many great people in a short time. Thank you, Brackens, for being a great host.

    To start off Tommy is a great Barkeep...Strong drinks low prices n a safe place to go n get hammered..lol wonderful and full of cops firemen n lawyers so its just a great environment to drink chat & have a great time
