We had the most amazing brunch here ❣️ we were running late and the hosts were so gracious. The food and drinks were delicious, we all had pizzas which we ate all of including the crust 😂 & they literally read our minds and we never had to wait for a single refill. Never felt more taken care of!!!Bottomless is the best! Can’t wait to come back! ❣️❣️❣️ -

I’d attach a picture to show you how good the food was, but I honestly scarfed it down before I remembered to do that. The sauce was so good I used every inch of crust on my Amatriciana pizza to make sure my plate was clean. The bottomless brunch sangria is also amazing too. Made in house fresh every day in the morning. -

Went to get a tattoo today and I researched places to eat near the shop, this one happened to be two stores down from the tattoo place. When I walked past the place the smell of the food hits your nose with such grace. The second you walk in, you are greater by the hostess, the atmosphere is a delight, this is such a beautiful restaurant. The minute you sit you are given water and bread. This place was very busy and still I received amazing service, not once did I have to look for my waiter, and when my waiter wasnt around, there was another gentleman who asked if I were okay.I was in the mood for salad and pizza, and let me tell you, it was some of the best food Ive eaten in NYC in some time. The pizza was made to perfection. I love the fact that the first thing you see when you walk in the place is the pizza oven, so you immediately know they are serious about pizza. The quality of the ingredients were top notch. The salad with shaved Parmesan was amazing. And then the ice cream was the perfect ending to bless the palette.... I also loved that the waiter spoke Italian and the other gentleman spoke Spanish as I am half Italian and half Spanish. This was a great experience. I am an Executive Chef and I can say that this place is a perfect example of how a restaurant should be run, they have the perfect people working there.I will be coming back and I will make sure to spread the word amongst my peers. -

I can’t stop raving about this place. They have an extensive vegan menu and the vegan cheese is delicious. I was taken care of by the lovely Carrisa. She offered such great hospitality and her music playlist was perfectttt. 10/10. I ordered the Vegan (truffle pizza). I will definitely be back to try more of their menu 🙌🏾 -

Excellent Host, Location, Food ! The thinnest pizza New York has to offer ! It’s a beautiful chic style restaurant with wonderful nature inspired ambience, live plants around your table and lovely staff ! Absolutely a pizza heaven ! Also the pasta none compared to this can be better in New York City at the moment for vegetarians! Absolutely lovely place and definitely the place to visit in NYC if you are around ! Reservation is must ! Don’t forget to get the truffle pizza ! -

The service was top-notch, the same as places I’ve been for double the prices. The food (dinner) was quick to come out and delicious. (Aside from the table bread, which is very “meh.”) If you can, get seating in the covered “outdoor” patio—the ambiance was amazing! -

Gnocchi is an all star restaurant. The staff are incredibly welcoming, friendly, and treat you like a million bucks. The atmosphere is cozy and just plain lovely. And to top it all off the food is INCREDIBLE. Some of the best Italian pizza I’ve had in a while. Their ingredients are authentic and the sauce is to die for. I highly recommend the Amatriciana. -

You have to try carbonara. I don’t think that this version is the Italian one but is delicious. I would definitely recommend the place. The cocktail was great, too.The yard in the back of the store is pretty with nice atmosphere. -

Review 17 (2018-09-25 - Rating: 5)
Gonocco isa splendid establishment with a warm and welcoming atmosphere. My food was delicious and presented with artful taste. I was seated in the back of the house where I found myself in a converted courtyard area with a makeshift roof. The room was surrounded with plants and wide brick walls. Yes, this was the perfect lighting and ambiance for a fantastic evening of small plate Italian cuisine. I would happily recommend trying the gnocchi pomodoro or the fusilli. The fusilli came with a green jalapeno pepper that lit my taste buds on fire, in a good way. I sincerely hope this review helps. -

Truly a 21st century menu card! The staff is incredibly friendly and super engaging. They gave awesome recommendations and went above and beyond to make the experience amazing! If you’re in EV and want some great Italian- head on down to Gnocco! -

Review 23 (2024-05-06 - Rating: 4)
Excellent food and excellent service. Leon provided great service!Calamari was best I have had in a while! Steak was delicious! Wish steak dish had a little something extra than just lettuce, maybe some veggies. Pasta was good, but needed something else for the price. Dessert was delicious as well. The garden sitting area was very beautiful!4 stars, because menu needs a redoing, electronic ipads and not easy to navigate, and I think they need to go to a QRcode system. -

Review 38 (2022-09-16 - Rating: 4)
The pizzas were great and the cocktails were delicious. The wine menu, whilst it covered the basics, only had 1 rose and white wine that were a little meh. The atmosphere out the back wasn’t anything to write home about but nice enough. -

Review 45 (2018-05-08 - Rating: 5)
Great dinner for our foursome. Our table was in the garden area (rather than upfront by the window.) We each had different appetizer, each had an entree followed by dessert for each. Each dish was delicious. Good wine list and cocktail options. Service was gracious and timely, in fact all staff was attentive. Recommended for families and slightly larger groups. -

We had a lovely evening here on New Year’s Eve. Aside from a friendly and attentive bar tender and delicious food options, the host worked incredibly hard to accommodate us after a mix up with our reservation- which was probably our fault to be honest. Highly recommend. -
Review 51 (2019-06-01 - Rating: 5)

Review 55 (2021-07-28 - Rating: 5)
Great Northern Italian cuisine with its 20+ years in business in this location. Must make a reservation when possible or go at an off time or youre not getting in. Yeah, its that popular. The pasta dishes are fresh and some more unique than others. This visit: loved the gorgonzola walnut pasta and the whole wheat pasta. The famous Gnocco fritter appetizer is all that and more. Beautifully presentation of the octopus salad speaks for itself. I wouldve preferred some cracked pepper or fresh lemon as another element but my fellow companions opted no to that. Oh well. Next time Im going to hoard it for myself. LOLOther classic dishes like the pizza and calzone were also very good. The margherita has fresh basil and thats our favorite. Love the sauce and that crust. If youre lucky, you can ask for the garden seating but thats usually packed first. Its a covered area but with all the fun elements of outdoor dining without the pedestrian traffic and Street noise. Totally would return and recommend. Give the lambrusco a try as well or enjoy the many other suggested pairings as noted on the menu. -

A very cute restaurant with lovely staff but THE FOOD WAS UNBELIEVABLE!!!!I’ve travelled from state to state in the past 6 months and this was by far my favourite restaurant experience I’ve had.I had pasta and truffle which was that evenings special, however I would LOVE for them to put it on their menu as it was DEVINE.If you’re in NYC please visit here - also ask for Luigi he is the best! -

A gem of a neighborhood restaurant! The staff is welcoming, and the variety of indoor and outdoor space provides an enjoyable dining experience. The patio has both a rain cover and heaters, and is available year-round.The signature dish, gnocco, is an assortment of cured meats along with light, fried and puffy dough. The pasta, seafood, and meat are all consistently excellent. The wine and cocktails are well-chosen.The desserts are good too! -
Review 60 (2018-12-28 - Rating: 5)
Had a fabulous dinner last night ! Sat in the garden (really nice, warm too). Pasta, pizza, salad, appetizers & wine all super ! The staff & management were awesome. This place is a real find! Everything fresh.Something else very helpful - you can look @ photos of the meals on the menu tablets (iPad). Reasonably priced too! Check it out! -

Review 62 (2021-03-21 - Rating: 4)
Overall, it was a nice place and the food was good too. Thankfully we had a reservation as it was constantly really busy and we were seated right away inside. They had partitions between tables for social distancing, sanitizer on the table and provided a QR code for their menu as well as an iPad. The service was a bit slow but we enjoyed our table conversation while we waited. I noticed another table next to us who seemed frustrated their food had not arrived shortly after we got ours. The staff were all friendly. The only minor two things I noticed couldve made it even better... not a huge deal but 1)the table was up against this wall which was a mirror and wedged in this weird brick wall that stuck out, which means the two people against the wall had very little room to sit, we were squeezing ourselves into an already tight space (although I think the owner noticed towards the end of our meal and came to fix it by putting the table out a bit), 2)We were also offered bread but no olive oil and balsamic vinegar (like how restaurants in Italy usually serves it)... -
Review 63 (2024-08-04 - Rating: 4)
The best were the gnocchi pomodoro , the sauce was delicious and I know it was freshly made because it’s similar to mine. The presentation was also very appealing. The fennel salad was a bit bland. The spicy chocolate and cherry gelato was really good, flavorful, well presented. The rose wine definitely a plus. In terms of service, I’m not very pleased. We were not given any options but to sit indoors in a very limited space, (I understand maybe they were very busy but at least ask). The server didn’t ask or explain anything. We asked for our check, she didn’t ask cash or credit, came back with a printed copy a little abrupt. The communication wasn’t great, language (s) wasn’t an obstacle. The place has improved a little since the time it had a different owner or management, but I feel it needs more light indoors. -

Review 67 (2018-11-12 - Rating: 5)
Wonderful flavours, authentic and homemade pasta. The cold cuts are are DOP and freshly sliced- the desserts and coffee were a little disappointing, but the gnocchi and Tagliatelle alla tartufo more than made up for it. Definitely worth a family night out. -
Review 68 (2017-05-25 - Rating: 5)
Incredibly tasty and unique-What a gem of a restaurant! I have followed Chef Brian Lavin since his tenure at Salt. The man just knows how to create delicious food. Gnocco offers excellent variety,-from homemade pasta to seafood to seasonal cocktails. The staff is friendly and knowledgeable staff (Giles is wonderful), so ask them for recommendations. -

Review 70 (2018-12-23 - Rating: 5)
Worth every bit of 5 stars! Try to sit in the back patio - its adorable and warm and beautiful! We went for brunch, the black truffle eggs were one of the best egg dishes Ive had. And the desserts, wow! The ricotta cheesecake was just heavenly and the creme brulee was fantastic as well. Everyone was really nice, service was quick (but there werent a lot of people when we were there). Cocktails were also great - nice homemade bloody mary was delicious. Will definitely be back for dinner! -
Review 71 (2018-10-24 - Rating: 5)
This restaurant is so cute! Pretty outdoor seating with lights. Had the Buffalo Mozzarella starter and Truffle Pizza, both were excellent. For dessert, the chocolate mousse and my boyfriend had the mint chip gelato, highly recommend both. We just moved to the area and are looking to come back and try different things on the menu*** this is an edit to my original review above***After a lovely reply from the owner and a suggestion on a dish, my boyfriend and I decided to pay Gnocco a visit for Saturday brunch. We chose to sit outside in their patio area this time and it was so pretty with lights and vines everywhere. We ordered a la cart from their brunch menu, eggs with truffle shavings, Margharita pizza and per the suggestion of the owner a Tagliolini with butter and shaved truffle.I cannot begin to describe how delicious everything was. The best part is you don’t feel bloated and heavy after eating here. Their portions are perfect and the food is so well prepared. For dessert I had the spicy chocolate gelato and cherries while my boyfriend has some lemon sorbet. Obviously both were great. We are definitely making our way through the menu and can’t wait to come back and try some more! -

The ragu was just amazing. So often you go to an Italian restaurant and you can taste the commercialization. Not here though. The ragu transported me back to sunday dinners with my family growing up. One of the best sauces Ive had in my life. -
Review 76 (2016-01-05 - Rating: 4)
Gnocco was recommended by a fellow Italian friend who really liked the food here. So coming from an Italian (Rome) Id tend to believe. The interior was clean and modern. We had a reservation for 8 people which was all set up in the patio in the back. The host was friendly and led us back while we waited for the rest of the group of join. We ordered some appetizers to start. The buffalo mozzarella was creamy, smooth and delicious. The octopus carpaccio with fennel tasted great except that it was sliced paper thin. We prefer the octopus as bite size morsels. The Arancini de Riso is as I remembered it from my travels in Italy. Our server had several lost in translation moments where we ordered one dish became two. When it came to ordering the main entree he said it would take a long time if we all ordered our own dishes so better so share. But what is the difference between ordering 8 dishes verses 6? And secondly, it wasnt like we were in a hurry...? We were a bit puzzled but decided to order our own individual dishes anyway. In terms of time, I didnt think it took that long for the food to arrive on the table. The pizza was light and the crust was delicious. The pasta cooked al dente and the steak cooked as requested. The Branzio al Cartoccio was filled with seafood. In all everyone was very happy with the dishes and we all shared to try a little from everyone.Gnocco may be a new find for us and a place we will be returning back to again even with the puzzling moment that left the table all pondering.Tutti a tavola a mangiare! -

Whether it’s a morning coffee al fresco, a romantic candlelit dinner in the garden, or even a bottomless brunch with the fam-bam, Gnocco never disappoints. Some come for the pizza and some come for the wine—but all come for the neighborhood atmosphere that perfectly encapsulates the eclectic neighborhood that is the East Village! Each time, I can guarantee that Gnocco will greet me warmly with open arms and leave me with a full belly. Since my childhood, the aroma of fresh pasta, bread and marinara sauce etched itself into my heart, and coming to Gnocco makes me feel as though I’ve returned to a familiar home. Thank you Rosella! Ti amo and I cannot wait to see you for my next black tartufo pasta! Mmmmmm -

Will DEFINITELY be back!! This place had it all... it was beautiful, serene and inviting.. we sat in the outdoor room which was an air conditioned solarium.. so pretty.. the service was fantastic. Our female server (forgot her name 😕) was very knowledgeable about all the food and took great care of us and we can be a pretty needy bunch with more wine, bread, oil (which was delicious!) And butter...The food: we started with the Antipasto Misto... WOW!!! We practically ate the plates to not let any of it go to waste!! Lol! Our dinners...Reginette Gorgonzola e Noci... OMG!!! If you love cheese... say yes!! It was a more AMAZING alfredo-type flavor and the pasta was very different and sooo enjoyable!! All homemade BTW!!! So even with a pasta dish, you dont feel heavy and full..The Branzino was steamed in foil and was super light and tasty.. The grigliata Mista di carne... every bit was delicious... we had the house white wine.. and it was absolutely delicious, fruity and light.. On our way out, we ran into the owners which invited us to a couple espressos with Sambuca and a limoncello.. our overall experience in Gnocco was outstanding and I am so looking forward to coming back!! Thank You for an awesome time, food and service!!!😘 -

Omg! We actually made a mistake and were supposed to go to another place. Instead I saw it was in the east village and I thought Oyeah, thats where we use to go years ago, and I made a reservation. BUT IT WAS A MAGNIFICENT MISTAKE!!! The environment is intimate and romantic if you want to take a date, and cozy and welcoming if you want to go out with your friends (thats what we did). The food and wine was AMAZING and EXQUISITE. Absolutely go here if havent already!!! -

I recently enjoyed a bottomless brunch here and had a truly wonderful time. We chose to sit in the backyard patio, where the ambience was great and the drinks were flowing. The white sangria was a particular favorite of mine. The waitstaff were incredibly friendly, adding to the overall positive experience. Highly recommend! -

Absolute 10s across the board. We were outside deciding whether or not to go in, when a gentleman opened the door and welcomed us in. We were seated out back and its gorgeous, beautiful plants and great lighting. Their menus should be the industry standard!!! No reason for confusion on what youre ordering. The service is very accommodating and pairs great with the food!! We tried the olives, bread, calamari, mussels, salmon, and vegan rigatoni! The star is the Rigatoni, get it with shrimp! Shout out to the entire staff! -

This place is fantastic!! The back courtyard is such a hidden gem, and the food was very good. The best part of this place though was the staff!! Every single waiter, host, or busboy we interacted with was so pleasant and kind and seemed genuinely happy we were there. It made our experience absolutely lovely! Highly recommend the Carbonara and the price for entree plus bottomless is amazing. -
Review 101 (2018-11-16 - Rating: 5)
Nice, quiet atmosphere (at least when we visited) and delicious Italian style pizza! Reminded me of the pizza I had in Rome. The slices are big and require folding which Im not a fan of for non-NY style pizza, but overall Id recommend. Great Italian options and dessert, though the eponymous Gnocco appetizer was a bit overrated in my opinion. -

The macaroni and cheese exceeded expectations and I loved the Bucatini Ametriciana was some of the most delicious spaghetti in red sauce Ive ever eaten. The spaghetti carbonara is pretty good too. I would love it with some grilled chicken. I recommend this restaurant to anyone who loves fresh Italian food. -

Review 118 (2024-04-12 - Rating: 5)
In short - this restaurant left me speechless. I will be back. Here is the more detailed review- Nestled in the heart of a bustling foodie paradise, Gnocco stands out as a beacon of Italian cuisine, offering an authentic dining experience that transports patrons straight to the rustic countryside and lively streets of Italy. The restaurant takes its name from a delectable type of Italian dumpling, a nod to the care and authenticity infused in every dish. The menu at Gnocco is a testament to the rich culinary traditions of Italy, curated with both passion and precision. Its evident that each ingredient is chosen for its freshness and quality, ensuring that every bite is a celebration of flavors. The star of the show is undoubtedly the homemade pasta, each strand and shape a canvas for the vibrant, locally-sourced ingredients it accompanies. The gnocchi, true to the restaurants namesake, is pillowy perfection, served in a variety of sauces that rotate with the seasons but are consistently delectable. The pizzas, too, are a revelation – thin, crispy crusts topped with gourmet ingredients, all fired to perfection in a traditional wood oven.Service at Gnocco is as outstanding as its cuisine, with staff that are not only knowledgeable about the menu but exude a genuine warmth and hospitality. Theyre eager to make recommendations, share the stories behind the dishes, and ensure that your dining experience is memorable.Gnocco is more than just a restaurant; its a celebration of Italian culinary mastery, a place where every meal is an occasion and every guest is treated like family. It stands out not just for the authenticity of its food but for the experience it offers – a slice of Italy that feels both comforting and exhilarating. Dining at Gnocco is not just eating out; its an immersive journey into the heart of Italy, promising flavors and memories that are truly indelible.Enjoy! -

Nestled in the heart of the east village, Gnocco is a classic Italian restaurant with a unique floor plan. The dining room consists of a cozy inner dining room and a beautiful semi outdoor seating section filled with a vibrant green and plastic floral vibe. While the waiter did mess up our order and had little knowledge of the menu, the food was delicious. Drinks were great and the manager comped us for the mistakes made by the server.Overall great food and will definitely come again! -

Review 166 (2023-07-13 - Rating: 4)
Food very good, a bit salty and greasy as restaurant food tends to be. Went for dinner, sat in garden room, was a bit noisy there. Room had an ac despite open ceiling (that was covered with a net). Slightly quirky decor which includes the plants in the garden room. Bread given before meal was not impressive at all, cold and tasted generic. Price was about $50-60 per person with wine, some people getting appetizers. -

Walked by looked completely empty. Came inside and the whole back section was very lively. I got to sit in the front in a quiet section which I was very happy about since I was dining alone.I got the spaghetti carbonara. Not the best carbonara I’ve ever had BUT still good. I would dine here again but order a different dish. Service was great. As a solo diner, I was an easy guest. Bartender was very friendly and so was my server. They have digital menus with pictures of every dish and wine pairings which I thought was super cool!Overall I’d come again!
