    Amazing spot. The bone marrow was insane, and the Oaky Smokey Old Fashioned was perfection. The amazing rimjob on the pumpkin martini had me squealing with delight. Highly recommend!

    Probably the best elevated bar food in midtown. The chicken sandwich and the kale salad (which you can add grilled chicken thighs to) are delicious and make it easy to enjoy a healthy-ish nourishing dinner along with their always changing selections of local craft beers. ALL of the staff at Hold Fast are great, something that is rarely the case on Restaurant Row or near Times Square. The kitchen is open until late at night and this is now our go-to spot for drinks and a bite either before or after going to the theatre. 10/10!

    Great vibe and ambiance! The bartender Troy was so helpful with drinks and suggestions for food. I loved the Hold Fast to your Dreams, it’s a perfect drink to take your time with and gives the feel of a sweeter old fashioned with a hold fast twist! Food is EXCELLENT I had the steak tacos that were so flavorful and filling, with the Steak Frites. The steak was well marinated, perfectly cooked, and the sweet potato fries were a great compliment. Such a great space for a night out, date, or self love definitely will be back!

    Really did a good decision by booking a table for brunch last Saturday. Alaysia took great care of us right from the beginning and seated our friend ahead of us in a pretty good table.Theres obviously so many brunch places here and this one definitely meets the criteria for delicious food, fantastic vibe and music, and warm and attentive service. I think the owner himself also personally checked on us a few times even wanting to move our table if we thought we needed more space. Thank you for that! Doesnt go unnoticed!Now the food! Three of us all went for Chicken and Waffles and it was as good as it looked on the pictures and the reason why we went here tbh. My husband went for the breakfast bacon and cheese burger and he liked it as well. We also went for the 90 min bottomless drink option for &$25 each and I loved that they were always checking if we wanted a refill etc. My friends also enjoyed switching between mimosas, bellinis, and bloody marys. Honestly such an awesome deal.We were also given a compliment round of shots, theyll said just because we were awesome. Awww! Thanks guys, the feeling is pretty mutual!Cant wait to come back and hopefully soon! :)

    Our dinner here was delicious! And the service was very friendly. We didn’t expect much of it when we first arrived, but the establishment truly lived up to its high rating!We’d recommend the duck confit (a DIY version of Peking duck or duck taco), the steak frites (oh, that rare steak was cooked to perfection, plus the crunch sweet potato fries), and the cocktails (both maple piggy and hold fast dreams were tasty and strong).We will be back to try other dishes!!

    I spent NYE here and our host Jason and Shane were the absolute best. The drinks were flowing, great music was playing and the food they served was delicious. I hope to be back next year to celebrate with these guys again. We even came back the next day for drinks and appetizers. The meat and cheese board as well as the dry rub wings are 🔥 🔥!

    Awesome “local” spot, or hidden gem of a bar (if there is such a thing in Hell’s Kitchen). Great food too! Highly recommend the wings! Terrific rotating selection of craft beers (on tap and in bottles). Wonderful mixed drinks served by very capable and friendly bartenders. Highly recommended!

    Great pre/post theatre spot if you sit outside (inside is insanely loud).$5 cup of chili here is probably the cheapest meal you’ll find in the area, and it’s pretty good!

    This is our favorite restaurant/bar in Hell’s Kitchen. My friends and I go weekly, and we rotate between the cocktails and the food. You must try the chicken wings, the deviled eggs, and each of their cocktails. Their bartenders always remember you and it genuinely feels like they always want to be there. Vibey, fun spot, with Hold Fast inspiration on the walls.

    Came here for some drinks before dinner at kochi. Nice, warm, classic neighborhood bar atmosphere with wood and brick decor. They made some nice strong cocktails. I had the hold fast mule with vodka, and my friend had the Dont forget your mask which was really good too. Great place to grab some drinks and even some food, when in this part of town!

    Updated: everyone deserves a second chance and honestly it didn’t take much convincing for me to try hold fast again. I stand by my rating of BEST wings ever, almost ordered some for the trip home. My second trip back I ordered exactly the same food and drinks as the first time it was just as amazing and the service was top notch! We also added what should be known as their famous fried burrata! The owners were personable and welcomed us with open arms. This is 100% a bar/restaurant I wish I had in my neighborhood. It is a great local feel spot but also a place to go when right before a show or any event in the city.First off I will start by saying I really hate to give this rating the food once served correctly was delicious some of the best wings ever and a large drink selection which was refreshing and tasty. However, the table next to us was delivered my meal. The lady took a bite of something of the plate realized it was not her order and sent it back. Being the table right next to them we over heard all of this. About 5 minutes later our food arrives. As I am getting ready to take a bite a member of my party says did you already take a bite of your pickle I say no. Realizing they brought back out the same plate of food they had delivered to the neighboring table as a wrong order out to me but lucky for me the lady had taken bite of the pickle so I knew it was the same plate of food. I kindly discussed this with our server who was not at fault for the “redelivery” she had them make a new sandwich and bring it out. I was still charged for the sandwich and the full meal. As we were paying she offered us shots but we were headed to a show and didn’t want shots. I feel like they did not handle this situation well from many standpoints one being we are in the middle of a pandemic and you are concerned about my vaccination status but “redeliver” a meal that has been touched and bitten into by another human and then also don’t even offer to take the sandwich off the bill or reduce the bill for an error disgustingly made by your staff. The server apologized but once again was not her fault and nobody seemed to think it was a big deal! YOU DELIVERED FOOD TO ME THAT HAD BEEN EATEN!

    Came here for a work happy hour and we werent disappointed! The food and drink selection is great. We chose to split a few apps and get our own tacos. Our vibrant conversation died as we were all enjoying our food and picked up again as we were sharing our delight. Anthony was a great server and made sure we got everything exactly when we wanted it and were satisfied with the quality of the food and drinks.     I went late with a friend for drinks and an appetizer. The cocktails are amazing and well worth the pricing and food great as well. Everything about the service was great as well! Wonderful staff!My main complaint is similar to many NYC bars- the music. Once again after a night out I wake up to my voice hoarse and cracking because I had to scream over obnoxious pulsing house pop music for the entire time I was there. I feel awful giving any less than 5 stars to this place because it was so great, but the background music problem that is rampant throughout the city is just too much to sweep under the rug any more. I probably wont be back here as a result in lieu of a quieter place to enjoy a drink and conversation with a friend. Perhaps Im just not the right fit for the crowd theyre looking for.

A table was just fine and allowed us to converse freely and in a chill manner.Friends were super indecisive so they requested our waitress surprise them. She was super accommodating to their preferences and this led to a great experience.The booster shot is delicious, we got three rounds which was pretty costly. Nonetheless, we still enjoyed each shot and I think they got stronger each time.Smoked old fashioned came with a cute presentation, our waitress shook the drink in front of us before pouring. Felt stronger than the typical old fashioned.After a few more drinks, we decided we wanted to go bar hopping. We did ask for recs for more lively places as were unfamiliar with the area and the waitress happily obliged and recommended us a spot.

    I had Broadway tickets and needed to grab a bite to eat before the show. This place came recommended off a YouTube channel as a great casual pre-show meal. Thankfully, it definitely didnt disappoint.The vibe follows your typical bar with the added bonus of signed Broadway posters (4/5)(extra point added for clean bathrooms). Since I didnt make reservations and there were no available tables, I grabbed a seat at the bar.The entire staff seemed busy, but the bartender still provided good service (3/5). I think the star of experience was the food. I got the Chicken Sandwich with fries (5/5), and shared a plate of chips and guac (5/5). Both were exceptional bar fare.If youre looking for a casual quick bite to eat, I would recommend.

    Excellent cocktails in a fun atmosphere. Very busy early evening on a Thursday. Food was very good. Had the veggie burger with fries and my friends enjoyed chicken sandwich and kale and quinoa salad.     The food was incredible. I went during brunch, and there was a wide variety of options. I got the chilaquiles, which was at the recommendation of a friend, and it was one of the best meals I had in NYC. I am not one to spend a lot of money on food when traveling, usually opting for a quick slice, but I am so glad we went here. The food was great, prices were extremely reasonable, it was a fun atmosphere, and the service was incredible. It was in Hells Kitchen near the heart of Times Square, but I felt like I was in a local bar, not a tourist trap. I also had the Killer Bee cocktail, which was more expensive than my food. But where I live, its hard to find a good Gin based drink and this one was well worth the $17. Overall, I had a great experience and recommend it if you are in NYC.

    We are visiting New York City. We walked down restaurant row to grab some lunch on our way back to the apartment and stopped at this place. Service was fabulous and the food was delicious. I ordered shrimp ceviche as an appetizer. My daughter and I got the roasted cauliflower salad. So good! My niece’s hamburger was cooked medium rare, just like she ordered. I would recommend this place to anyone and I’d definitely come back. The only thing that makes me sad is that the brunch menu looks delicious but is only served Saturday and Sunday..and sadly, we leave before then.

    Solid spot for drinks and food, which is hard to find so close to the Times Square/the Broadway theatres. We came by on Cinco de Mayo right after seeing a play. We had no problem getting a seat in their outdoor seating area and enjoyed some nice pub grub.

    I was looking for a place to have dinner and a drink but I didnt want typical bar food. After reading the reviews, I decided to try Hold Fast and I was happy I did. Its a nice little bar in Hells Kitchen with delicious food and fast service. I was lucky to have picked the night that Chris, the owner was behind the bar and chatted with him for a while. Overall, a great experience and a place I definitely recommend.

    I discovered this place randomly while walking around midtown west with a friend. Met Jason, the co-owner and we got along immediately. He fixed us a couple of fantastic old fashioned cocktails and we were sold on the place.     We had such a great Friday night here! The classy decor and welcoming ambience were as charming as the drinks and the food. Three of us ordered 9 different drinks and 2 food plates. Not a big fan of meat & cheese board (a bit pricey tbh), but fries with pulled pork was heaven. Many drinks blew our minds: Social Distance, Kiki, Honeydew Bourbon, Pineapple Rum, Mule, and I forgot my last drink but it was citrus vodka. Their drinks have very funky names, just like what you feel in the bar. 3 hours spent here was well worth it. It became quite noisy and we sometimes had to shout to each other, but we still loved it nonetheless. We were served by 4 different gentlemen and they were all very hospitable and attentive. $180 before tax for 3.

    Hold tight because this menu will take you for a ride - their drink menu is like 4 pages. The steak burger and cocktails were top notch + the wait staff was lovely and very knowledgeable about the menu. Highly recommend as a pre-Broadway show dinner and drinks spot

    This is a small, dark, neighborhood bar. I stopped in before an afternoon theater show. The Ceviche was tasty and a reasonable portion ($10). An Excelsior Cabernet ($10) was also good. For COVID safety I sat in the entryway table area.

    Great spot! Good selection of beer but fantastic spot to sample some cheese and meats, the plate was had was awesome! Also for sure worth trying the deviled eggs. The chef came out and chatted with us about the meats and cheese, overall staff was great! We’ll be back!

    I cannot recommend this place enough! My husband and I came here from out of town and had the best experience. Rachel was absolutely amazing! She recommended all the right dishes and drinks… let’s just say If this was my neighborhood bar I’d be here every night! Thank you Rachel!
