Their food is better than just bar food! Had brunch on weekend, and everything was good. Would have been nice if they put more veggies and bigger fish for fish taco, but other than that, their fries are crispy and not too grease, and they also have some kids menu options. -

I am a visitor from Australia 🇦🇺 🪃 and we had a quick stop at Hudson Hall to quench our thirst. A very authentic spot. The beer was very tasty and cold - I chose on from New Jersey. The young lady that served us - very friendly and helpful - explaining the different beers on tap.Did not tick food - we did not eat.The renovations made it into a very interesting place - to get a feeli g from the past! Great 📷 material! -

I’ve only been here on game days (NFL). The atmosphere is always kinda electric; depends on who you support. They have week brunch till 4, you can order a lot great cocktails - I recommend the Irish coffee. It can get a bit rowdy, but that’s what sports is all about. I really love the exposed brick architecture and the selection of beers as well. -

A nice bar to go to in the city center to watch a game.the bartender was cool and friendly . Lots of beer options. It felt a little weird to watch a soccer game and listen to Rihanna as the voice. -

If I could give this restaurant more than 5 stars, I would. We were in town visiting for my husbands birthday weekend and this was one of the best parts of our trip. Our waiter, Lazarus, provided us with a great experience from beginning to end. In a time when great staff can be hard to find, this place was the exception. He was fun, funny, and took great care of us from when we were seated until we left.Next, the environment- absolutely loved the feel of the place! We were seated at our own table, but there are also the usual long tables you would find in a hall. Lots of tvs to watch the games (and on Sundays they not only have football, but a DJ too!).Finally, the food - sooo good! Pierogies were exactly as I hoped they would be, a 10/10 and the Buffalo shrimp as well. Hubby loved his short rib sandwich and I was thrilled to get a thin chicken cutlet on my sandwich. And they came with shoestring fries - my favorite. So many restaurants in the city to pick from, but you need to stop here if you havent already.Next time we are here, I will definitely stop in again. -

I recently hosted a birthday space in the private space “The Deli” at Hudson Hall. We had a great time!! The manager Ben was super easy to communicate with. Our bartender Bobby took excellent care of our entire party. As always food was delicious. So happy I chose Hudson Hall for my event! -

A nice place to hangout and a have a quick bite with friends in Jersey City. This is located on Marin Blvd between Grove Street and Newport path stations. We started with the fries which were nice and crispy and the spread was good. They have a lot of draft beer options and they have standard bottled beer as well. They have outdoor seating as well which is a nice in good weather. A good place to chill and have a drink or two in Jersey City. -

Good selection of beer. had the restaurant week menu. kitchen time is slow. we ordered beer, the pretzel and house fries to start. the beer came right away. the pretzel and fries took 40 minutes! i would have had another beer or 2 if it came promptly, and i had a chance to graze on the food, but no: The sandwiches followed 8 minutes later. the fresh hot donuts followed an appropriate 20 minute later.the room room has huge doors opening to the street, allowing the evening sun to come in. even with the door open the inside temperature was well regulated. The cavernous beer hall gets noisy with the music blasting and the crowd trying to shout over it an be heard. -
Review 9 (2023-07-31 - Rating: 5)
They didn’t have lunch specials (weekday) besides brunch, but the food was good. Hence, for lunchtime-it’s a bit expensive at $20 plus tax and tip. It was Monday, and they appeared to only have one waiter (who was also the hostess) and one bartender. Sweet potato fries were super good (thick, soft, and not overcooked). -
Review 10 (2024-11-17 - Rating: 5)
Great sports bar, great staff and great drinks! It has a down to earth and fun atmosphere. The staff all go above and beyond to ensure customers are able to watch the games that they came to watch. -

Had the best time during NY Climate Week! Chocolate Cake Shots were THE BEST! -
Review 12 (2022-04-01 - Rating: 5)
This is a fun place to hangout. Especially during games. Food and drinks selections are good, plenty and they rotate their taps very often. Waitstaff and service is always good. Do check out the annex next door where they have stand ups or events sometimes. That’s a cool place as well. -
Review 13 (2019-10-15 - Rating: 5)
Stopped by randomly with an old buddy of mine for drinks. Very beer-gardeny. Long tables, open doors (it was the end of summer, gorgeous nights) and the wait staff are super friendly. High vaulted ceilings, tvs for those who want to watch the games, wide selections for drinks and pretty good food too. We sat at a table, not the bar, and the waiter was very attentive and helpful when we had questions (I had a lot.. Haha). Overall, a great experience. -
Review 14 (2018-07-05 - Rating: 4)
Hudson Hall is a great casual place in JC to grab food and drinks. It reminds me of indoor beer gardens in Germany with a more extensive menu. For my starter, I ordered the Spinach and Artichoke Dip and it was seriously one of the best dips I’ve ever eaten. The baked cheese on top of the dip added some amazing flavors that paired perfectly with the saltiness and crunchiness of the chips. For my main, I ordered the Smoked Turkey which was ok. The turkey was served as large slabs of white meat. I think the juiciness of the turkey would have really come through well of the meat was dark as opposed to white. The barbecue sauce that was served with it was sweet and tangy. For my drink, I had the Marin Margarita which was decent and had subtle hints of mango.I sampled my boyfriends drink, the Mo Rum Mo Problems, and it was amazing - one of the better cocktails I’ve ever had.The ambiance of venue was very relaxed, the music was good, and our server, Jane Double M, was very attentive.I would definitely come back if I was in the area. -

Security is so sweet and always around when you need them. Bartenders are so tentative and make great green tea shots. Love this place it’s like my home -
Review 16 (2017-12-14 - Rating: 5)
I walked by this restaurant for months during the renovation and they did an amazing job. Its so cool inside! Lovely attention to detail, great appetizers and food (and some solid vegetarian choices). Music was way too loud in the beginning and I noticed theyve listened to feedback and adjusted accordingly. Wonderful option for a fun night out! -
Review 17 (2022-03-26 - Rating: 5)
Hudson hall is a great time! They have numerous large projectors with the games playing. A great vibe with a lively crowd. We came here for drinks but I’ll definitely be back for food! -
Review 18 (2021-10-23 - Rating: 4)
Decent brunch options at this place. The eggs benedict was really good. A good place to catch up with friends for brunch. Pricing is fair. Their espresso cocktail was good too. Service is pretty good. -
Review 19 (2021-10-23 - Rating: 5)
Was there on a Saturday afternoon. Everything was great, food, beer service and atmosphere. The spinach artichoke dip was great as was the Czech Pilsner. I’d prefer no sports TV and loud music but it was not too annoying. Would come back. -
Review 20 (2024-04-19 - Rating: 5)
Big fan of this place. Essentially a beer hall with decent food (get the big pretzel) and a good selection of beer on tap, including a rotating Icarus, which is always at least good if not great. During warmer months the side doors are open and youre basically sitting outside, but under a roof. Service is always good as well, at least during the day, which is when we usually come. One of my favorite spots in Jersey City. -
Review 21 (2024-01-30 - Rating: 5)
One of my favorite spots. Amazing food and great music! Love coming for sports games, a great spot for big parties as well. Best wings too! I had my 30th birthday here in the private room and it was great. Nic one of the bartenders was entertaining and provided such good service for the event. Also, Ben the manager was so responsive and helpful throughout the whole planning. Definitely would recommend for private events! -
Review 22 (2024-05-08 - Rating: 5)
Its a great place to watch sports. A lot of screens so you dont have to break your neck to watch the game. They have the NFL, NBA, and even important soccer games. The beer selection is respectable. Prime location in central Jersey City. Food is what youd expect from a bar. -
Review 23 (2024-11-11 - Rating: 5)
Mannnn I love this spot for game day and fights. Great vibe, good drinks and the food is generally great. -
Review 24 (2021-11-06 - Rating: 5)
Been here many times Great place to hang out have a Hudson lager sit back. All food is decent, you can order everything. No regrets. Weekends are perfect for a good hang out with friends. Music is good, shows games are good. Service is impressive. Favorite place to be on a weekend. -
Review 25 (2024-10-25 - Rating: 5)
It’s the number 1 spot to watch any sport in jersey city. Ask for Nick or Tim or my guy Ben - they take great care of you. -
Review 26 (2021-07-14 - Rating: 5)
Pastrami (smoked, thick, tender) and eggs for brunch w/ english muffin on the side. Food was excellent. Mimosas tasted a bit syrup-y. Seemed good as a sports bar, projectors and TV’s. -
Review 27 (2024-12-11 - Rating: 5)
Nestled in the heart of Jersey City, Hudson Hall offers a delightful dining and drinking experience that perfectly captures the neighborhoods vibrant energy. The ambiance strikes an ideal balance between industrial chic and welcoming comfort, with exposed brick walls, warm lighting, and an open, airy layout that feels both trendy and relaxed. The staff is attentive and knowledgeable. While slightly on the pricier side, Hudson Hall delivers quality food, excellent drinks, and a fantastic atmosphere. -
Review 28 (2023-09-12 - Rating: 5)
Great beer hall in the heart of downtown JC. The beer selection is great and has a lot of variety. The place is pretty big with a lot of different sized seating options, so good for groups big or small. My only complaint is that I wish they had more vegan food options. -
Review 29 (2024-09-11 - Rating: 5)

Review 30 (2024-06-21 - Rating: 5)

Review 31 (2023-10-08 - Rating: 5)
Im here way too often, but the team is awesome and the food is great. They are super accommodating with dietary restrictions and being in here for happy hour the other day with a pregnant friend can attest to them making killer mocktails! BEST PLACE TO WATCH SPORTS IN JC -
Review 32 (2022-09-06 - Rating: 5)
My lady and I discovered this place almost 2 years ago by accident and she couldnt stop talking about the Pastrami so we went back on Labor Day. Our server was Andrew and he was great. The Pastrami was excellent, service was great and the prices are reasonable. I will definitely come back to this place. Pretty cool atmosphere as well. -
Review 33 (2023-12-02 - Rating: 4)
Great, attentive servers. Pretty good food, great vibe. I do love the pretzels there. At the time of the writing, they have a happy hour for $6 tequila shots. I asked if they can mix it with tonic or even on ice, but they said they cant. Doesnt make sense that ice changes the happy hour.Turns kind of clubby at night except there is no dance floor so its still just a beer garden with good but loud club music. I wonder why they dont just shift the tables around if theyre going to transition into club mode at night lol -
Review 34 (2022-06-26 - Rating: 4)
I truly like this place. The bartenders are a nice crew: Attentive, good at their jobs.Dedicated peeps sanitize all surfaces every 15 minutes ❤️ 💙 💜!Food is not Great, but the drinks are!Music is excellent.I love a place where everyone seem to like their job. -
Review 35 (2024-04-04 - Rating: 4)
This place is good, with a good atmosphere and good beers. Its not dog friendly though. In summers the dogs are allowed on the tables facing the street, but the place is huge for the dogs to be allowed inside too. -
Review 36 (2024-04-06 - Rating: 5)
Just stopped in for drinks after a visit in the city. We were greeted by a friendly bartender who served us quickly. We order espresso martinis and they were good but lacked a stronger coffee taste. The atmosphere was fun and cozy on the side of the bar we were on. The main side was louder because of the basketball games on but seemed very fun as well -
Review 37 (2022-06-09 - Rating: 5)
The staff is friendly and courteous. The food was well prepared and delicious. The pastrami was moist, tender and flavorful. The housemade doughnut and ice-cream were a great finish to the meal. I would definitely come here again if I lived here or when I visit again. -

Review 40 (2023-10-25 - Rating: 4)
It’s more like a sports bar nothing much but a really cool place to hangout..the food is like ok ok but it’s more about the beers here..one of the places where you can get hefeveisen beer and it’s very rare to get in the east coast!! It only get crowded in the weekends and also when there some sports Match going on!! -
Review 41 (2024-11-06 - Rating: 4)
I come here often, always has great vibes & great service! The hot chicken sandwiches however were not it.. we had a group of people who all enjoy spicy foods, we asked the server how hot s hot & she said it was spicy, but pretty sweet...wrong lol it was so hot none of us could take a second bite so be warned. We ended up sending them back & ordering something else, which Ive done only once in my life.. they took one sandwich off the bill - which, fair - but then be honest about how hot it is before we get four of them!!! Theyre coated with a TON of spices, no sauce. Way too hot for the average person. The Philly cheesesteak egg rolls though are some of the best around. -
Review 42 (2023-08-10 - Rating: 5)
Quick food and friendly service and beer trial before you order... -
Review 43 (2020-10-22 - Rating: 5)
A terrific sports bar / beer hall. Great in every way. Food is terrific and a clear cut above the standard sports bar offering. Whether the german food, authentic (and super hot) Nashville chicken sandwich, or the insane donuts piping hot and fresh -- everything is great. The beer selection is big and ready for beer connoisseurs. The craft cocktails are legit and interesting. You have a ton of screens, but still a big beer hall feel and sometimes some amazing seasonal decorations or a DJ. And maybe best of all, they are the friendliest people . -
Review 44 (2021-06-22 - Rating: 5)
Wanted to come here for so long and finally had the chance last night. Came with family who were visiting and had a great time! The food is awesome and theres plenty to choose from. I had bratwurst with a side of sautéed spinach and mac n cheese and it was excellent. The craft beer selection may be the best in JC. The servers are super friendly and attentive too. Only criticism is its very loud in there, but we will definitely be coming back! -
Review 45 (2024-07-15 - Rating: 4)
Stopped for a drink, some fries and tator tots, lovely atmosphere, good beer, good food -
Review 46 (2021-06-26 - Rating: 5)
This place was great: I ordered a whiskey drink w foam. Let me tell you, it was phenomenal. Tasted great and it had the right amount of liquor. I had chicken nachos. I was afraid it was pork cause it smelled like pork but it seems like it was cooked in pork oil or bacon grease. It was delicious though. I had reservations but I called to change it for half an hr later and they had no problem w that. We sat outside, it was the perfect weather for it. Barely anyone was back there. I went on Thursday night. Let me tell you, the service was awesome. All waiters, host, even the managers worked together to attend to us. They were very kind and informative, great wonderful service. I havent had that in a long time. Perfect amount of attending to but not annoyingly on your back. Even the busboys were helpful and informative. Ill def go back. Only thing is parking on the street is difficult but there pre paidparking lots nearby. -
Review 47 (2023-12-26 - Rating: 4)
Friendly waiters and waitresses. Only strange thing is: when I asked for hot tea for 3 times only one waiter made one for me. The rest just said yes and went away without coming back. -
Review 48 (2023-05-05 - Rating: 4)

Review 49 (2021-05-09 - Rating: 5)
Hudson Hall is incredible. It’s spacious indoors and has cool window seating options outdoors. They have amazing appetizers and food, and an even greater selection of beers and cocktails. We got pierogis, the big pretzel and bao chicka bao wow. All were great but the pierogis were especially amazing, with caramelized onions and cheese inside.A great place for a night out with friends!! -
Review 50 (2024-09-12 - Rating: 5)
Great food, great staff, great place… but the TV’s are out of sync. Makes it tough to watch sports. Otherwise great night. -
Review 51 (2019-02-24 - Rating: 5)
Its look beautiful both in and out. The wait staff was very courteous. We went for an early evening dinner on Sunday. Its a huge whole and pleasantly it was not loud nor packed. There were 4 huge screens to watch games on. There are 2 billiards tables and the bar is huge. For dinner we had the schnitzel sandwich, sweet potato fries, a half rack of st louis ribs, coleslaw and some fresh donuts. Everything was excellent, especially the ribs.We washed down our dinner with two delicious Belgian beers. In total our dinner was al little over $60. I would recommend it to anyone. -
Review 52 (2017-10-09 - Rating: 4)
First time visit today. Had the French Dip sandwich. Bread for the sandwich and fries was a little soggy, I think some of the au jus was spilled on the plate. Overall good taste, but need to work on the presentation. Atmosphere was good and not too loud, even for a Sunday with football on the screens. Good beer and whiskey selection. Will return. -
Review 53 (2017-10-10 - Rating: 5)
Went to Hudson Hall with family and friends and we loved the atmosphere and crowd. Great selection of beers and awesome staff to make you feel welcome. We ordered the meat sampler which comes with enough food to feed 6 people. Cant wait until they go with a full menu. -
Review 54 (2018-03-11 - Rating: 4)
I really want to give this place a 5, but the DJ that came on around 10:15 totally ruined it for me. Obnoxiously loud and the music didnt fit the vibe of the place at all. But for the 2+ hours before that our experience was great - our waitress was awesome, and the other staff we interacted with were very nice and helpful! Great beer selection and food was good. Would go again but only if some DJ named Nikki with black hair isnt playing that night! -
Review 55 (2020-05-14 - Rating: 5)
The food has always been fantastic, but the service during the COVID situation has been at another level. Tonight, we had an order prepared and delivered (about 1 mile away) in 15 minutes, and as usual, the quality was top notch (we had wings, a short rib melt, fries, and complimentary donuts). My only hope is that I am not setting the expectation too high for future customers.Im relatively new to JC, but Hudson Hall quickly became a favorite and continues to impress in these unprecedented times. -
Review 56 (2023-04-08 - Rating: 4)
Really fun place and the smoked meats are great but the music is wayyyy too loud, like louder than a night club. We can’t even talk or hear the person next to us so we had to leave early. -
Review 57 (2018-06-03 - Rating: 4)
Beer selection is great. Food is good. Staff could be faster. Sat for 5 min at the bar before I was able to order a drink while only 6 other people were in the entire place. Once I got the attention things went great. -
Review 58 (2023-07-02 - Rating: 5)
JC is lucky to have this spot… without it there wouldn’t be a good beer hall. Great food, beers, service and lovely space to blow off some steam and watch the Mets lose. -

The best Hot dogs EVER!!!! I can eat 3 sometimes theyre that good. Dont let the ingredients scare you away. If youre open to try new things get the hotdog the yo-yo way. Its full of flavor and you can normally catch him in the Heights or rice village.I think they cost are four dollars a hotdog. Whatever the prices its worth every penny. -

Great beer garden like spot in Downtown JC (of the three or four) but this one is 2x better than the closest one. Staff friendly, beer is good prices reasonable. I go for the food more than the beer anymore. -

Dollar wings that are PERFECT?! Cant go wrong. Also they make their bloody Marys spicy which is something I usually have to request. Want to eat here every day. -

Good spot for a drink and watching sport. Good atmosphere and very friendly staff -
Review 92 (2022-08-07 - Rating: 4)
A typical sports bar. Good food but not crazy about the picnic bench tables. Game nights are loud with screaming and roaring from the fans. -
Review 93 (2023-07-27 - Rating: 5)
Great place for medium and large sized groups, and excellent setup for watching major sports events. Friendly staff. -
Review 94 (2021-01-23 - Rating: 5)
Awesome space and a great drink selection! Massive TVs everywhere keep you entertained for hours...and then theres the food. You really dont expect such soft meats and great tastes at beer halls like this. 10/10 must try. -
Review 95 (2018-02-28 - Rating: 4)
Went here on a Saturday night for my brothers birthday. Staff is very very friendly. This hall is different than zeppelin in which it is smaller but you also get table service. Had to knock off 1 star because food selection is quite limited. -
Review 96 (2018-04-18 - Rating: 4)
Very nice beer selection and decent food. The atmosphere is really great. The owner of that place is really passionate and has great knowledge about beer. Overall a great place to have a drink or two or three ........ -

Great atmosphere and vibe. Happy hour specials good but not great - they serve draft in tiny 10oz glasses instead of the regular tumblers -
Review 100 (2021-08-07 - Rating: 4)
Pretzels and pierogies. Pretzel was heavenly, buttery, salty and the mustard was just the right level of spice -
Review 101 (2018-08-05 - Rating: 4)
Loved the place and ambience. From the amount of seating I observed, its amazing for groups. The only problem was the music was just too loud and annoying for a hall setting -
Review 102 (2020-09-20 - Rating: 5)
Always a good time here. Food is good and drinks are great and reasonably priced. When my office was open in JC, we would frequent this place for happy hour. -

Pastrami fries are amazing! I love this place because it’s a relaxing vibe. Casual dress. Good cocktails. Fun in the summer when the doors stay open and breeze comes in. Great sport to grab a drink or food. -

Review 120 (2019-08-17 - Rating: 4)
A bit noisy, kind of an indoor beer hall plus barbecue joint ethos. Pastrami tasty but quite fatty. -
Review 121 (2018-11-06 - Rating: 5)
Great hang out spot in JC with abundance of drafts and decent mixology. I really like the vibe. Semi-loungy, not to packed on a Friday night. They even had a game on a huge projector. Music wasnt too loud. Oh god Im getting old... anyway I recommend it. -
Review 122 (2021-09-24 - Rating: 4)

Was there for a private function, the truth they put out mini sliders and something else was not even close to hot ,no cold beer mugs , The beers on tap are not very cold, the Bartender Nick was very pleasant on his game . Very difficult to find a parking spot. -
Review 126 (2019-05-24 - Rating: 5)

Review 127 (2023-11-17 - Rating: 5)
We chose Hudson Hall as the after party spot following our wedding on 11/10/23 and we couldn’t be happier. We rented out the side room, it was the perfect size and vibe for us. We had about 40-45 people. The manager, Ben, was super helpful and responsive in helping us plan. And the bartender that we had that night was excellent. Super fun and fast. 10/10 would recommend! -

They have cash prizes for the top 3 winners which make it fun and competitive. The food and beer selection is great as well. This is a place Id bring friends and guests who are visiting -

Review 153 (2024-02-20 - Rating: 4)
Fun massive beer hall to watch sports, with a slightly more vibey side bar with top 40 music playing.Food is decent but too overpriced for portion sizes - any of the pubs around (like White Star, Hudson Hound, OHaras etc) would be a better choice for good quality food. But come here on GameDay for the social aspect.Ps - homemade donuts were delish though! -
