    Really enjoyed this place. Great beer selection, great food, and fun decorations all contribute to a wonderful vibe. Will definitely come back here - if only just for the mac & cheese (with surpringly al dente hats, bacon, spinach, and a whole bunch of creamy cheese you cant go wrong), the fries too.

    Visited for Saturday brunch with a friend and it was quiet and not crowded at all. The bar was very pretty and I liked the inside decoration. The price was reasonable, but the food was okay. The server was very attentive and kind.

    Quintessential NYC. Truly Irish pub that will be a go-to for you. Cocktails, whiskeys and Guineas... Rules by Quinns Laws. Doug will always remember your name and take care of you and your friends and help you make connections that will count. Its a pleasure. The food is fresh and hits the spot. Its a great place to relax and unwind as you enjoy some of the good things and good spirits in life. Go again and again.

    Sophisticated pub fare, the tuna tartare appetizer in particular, but also top notch traditional like the burger and fries. The soup was also nice on a cold night. Seating in the back is a quiet respite from the lively bar area in front, of you can go to the upstairs bar.

    I LOVE THIS PLACE! I visit it multiple times whenever Im up here for work. Visited twice this week and brought co-workers who had never been, as always the wait staff and bartenders are always top notch. Very friendly and in tune to your needs. We had both dinner and multiple drinks both nights we visited. The new Hudson beer is great. See you next time!!!!!

    Ive been to this place a number of times over the years and really want to like it. The menu look right, the place looks right, the service is there - but for some reason it continues to fall flat. The food is fine but its expensive. The beer menu is okay, but I find their taps taste weird most of the time. The service is friendly but also seems scattered and a bit inattentive. They have all the right ingredients but the parts dont add up to a cohesively quality experience. Its a totally acceptable place for a work lunch but doesnt punch much above the average midtown Irish pub.

    A last minute reservation for a restaurant close to our hotel turned out to be a great experience. In New York last weekend I google nearby restaurants. Good reviews convinced us to go and we were not disappointed. Friendly server, cool ambiance, and a good meal and martini . I was with my wife and 2 sons in their 20s and we all were pleased.

    Where everybody knows your name... Well at least the best bartender in NYC will! Verified by the New York Times, thos bartender will know your name and your drink after just one visit! How he does it, we may never know. Just know that this is a MUST VISIT DESTINATION in NYC!!! (I would know after a dozen years of having half a dozen drinks a night!).

    Short break in NY and my hotel was a 10-minute walkaway from this establishment. Lively and friendly bar. Attentive staff. Didnt have any food but from what I saw, looked to be of a good standard. Liked it well enough to revisit a second time on the same trip.

    This is a great little neighborhood pub. I had the French cut pork chop, and it was outstanding. They served it table-sode in asizzling cast iron skillet and then placed it on my plate, with a peppercorn sauce. Easily the best pork chop Ive had.Lastly, the cheese cake is outstanding as well. Its not this dense cheap kind of cheesecake either. It has a great, light(?) density to it. And when it comes out it smells bakery fresh.

    Excellent food and service, cozy old school setting - whats there not to love? Used to work midtown years ago and was a patron/fan of PJ Clarkes and Doug Quinn in particular. Arranged a business lunch here as Ive wanted to come in and say hello, and have a meal. Everything was fantastic! Attentive server, made some great menu suggestions. Quick service with drinks. Everything was cooked to perfection. I ordered the sliced beef au jus sandwich. Juicy and tender. Came with a side of some sort or bourbon/cream au jus.. I ordered extra to dip with my fries. Really amazing. My client ordered a burger, also perfect. The food is pub style but executed in a more elegant way. I loved the old school decor, and nice classic jazz playing in background. - Doug hit the nail on the head - it really is an old school style NY joint. I dont get to midtown much, but this will be my place.

    A NYC classic. Professional wait staff and bartenders. The Angry Coippino is superb - some of the largest, freshest mussels and clams Ive had in years, in a delicious and slightly spicy sauce with fish and shrimp. The Bourbon selection is excellent at all price points. Eagle Rare, W.L. Weller are affordable standouts, plus all you expect. A little noisy, but comfortable and personable. Its rare to have a waiter or bartender introduce themselves by name, shake your hand, and ask for a business card at the end of the meal - youll be rewarded by a personal, hand-written thank you note sent to your business address. A classy, classic joint.

    I used to drop by P.J. Clarks once in a while, after work. Until I found this place, two blocks south. I recommend it.First time there, when I was a stranger, Doug Quinn (owner) clapped me on the shoulder, asked if all was well. Introduced me to Nick (bartender). Nick introduced me to Greg, when I asked if the kitchen was safe for people with nut allergies. Greg gave me a thorough explanation.I just stopped by for a quick drink, but Ill be back for dinner.

    First Class! From the atmosphere, food and drinks, this fine establishment will provide you with the true “old school” New York vibe. I spend around 30 days in NYC throughout the year, this is a must stop every time I’m in town. I also think it’s worth noting. Not only are you going to get the best atmosphere-service-food-drinks, you get all of this in a safe environment. Mr. Quinn, from his days at the other place (I forget the name 😂 because I stopped going) has a known reputation of protecting patrons and staff. Rare combination!With so many dinner choices in the city, it’s nice having that extra security knowing the place is operated and managed by people with high standards and who actually care about people.     Hudson Malone has been my and my wifes CHEERS since the day it opened. There is no better place in all of NYC to get great pours, great food, and meet interesting people of all ages. The owner and lead barkeep Doug Quinn has been written about glowingly by more magazines and newspapers than any other NYC bartender...for good reason. He makes sure that everyone is safe and has a great time, and is a superb chef as well. Hudson Malone is our go-to place after work and at night for fun, and our reliable home for business lunches and weekend brunches. He and his superb staff will make you feel like family.

    Nice cozy bar for a happy hour drink. Stopped in over afternoon and sat at the bar. Bar staff were friendly and helpful.     Amazing food here, and while it might not look like much on the outside. The atmosphere in here is quite unique. It feels like a cross between a dive bar and a 1920s speakeasy.While it might be a little bit pricey, dont hesitate to try the specials. The chef loves to experiment and the results are usually spectacular.

    Great bar with nice bartenders and excellent location. The only downside is the smell of the bar and kitchen. The smell is bad and drifts onto the bar area and restaurant are at times. They need better cleaning and more ventilation. Cleaning the restaurant and bar would make it much better and comfortable.

    I had high hopes for this place. Midtown really needs a friendly, personable bar with great cocktails.However, I was disappointed. The staff was friendly enough, but they were clearly overwhelmed once the crowd got big. My first cocktail was fine, but my second was served without a twist. The waitress seemed surprised when I asked if she could bring one. Thats not a capital offense by any means, but it was a surprising lack of attention to detail. I was hoping this place would focus on serving really excellent cocktails, but maybe my expectations were just too high.Still better than most of the alternatives around midtown.

    The place is close to the E, M train. Great place to meet friends over drinks and food. They have a lot of different things for specials of the day. Def try the veal burger. The decor in my opinion is all over the place. They have portraits of sports people, politicians etc mixed with hunting artifacts. Couldn’t decide what kind of ambience they were trying to sell.

    What a gem! I am so glad we walked into this place it is oozing with character and good energy. We were greated at the door by a handsome gentleman with amazing energy and clear passion for his job. After being seated and thanking him for such a lovely start to our dinner we found out he was one of the owners and to see his passion in every aspect of his job was truly remarkable. The burger was so good my husband ordered a second! Hes not fat so thats unusual for him (he wanted me to clarify). If you havent been definitely check it out will be back very soon!

    Go for the atmosphere. Bar has a vintage, worn, but warm ambiance. Drink selection is good as well.
