    Great place to go to. Hang out on your own and enjoy the things that this little bar offers. Some friendly gays and eye candy guys. Hang out and enjoy on your own or speak with a friendly patron, or any of the good looking friendly bartenders. The karaoke times are fun watching really good amateur singers.

    The bar is such a wonderful, friendly space. Especially queens Petti Cash and Nicole Anadyme who make this place a safe, joyful space for all who enter.

    Drinks are great and affordable, bartenders Gierre and Sarah are especially friendly. If you want a chill place to hang out with friends, I highly recommend. Saturdays especially for game night!

    Fun place if you want to go dancing. The one issue I have (and Im probably in the minority here) is that they have the drag shows pretty much every night that sometimes run late. Its annoying that sometimes the dance floor doesnt open til almost midnight. When my friends and I go out we like to dance without having to wait for a draq queen to finish their performance. Why have that on a Friday and Saturday when people want to just go out and party.

    Ive been here multiple times already and I just have to say its an incredibly welcoming environment. Saturdays especially when Avant Garbage is here. The bartenders are also as friendly as they are handsome. Filup, Marcelo, Alan, Danny, all of them. Highly recommend.

    I went to ICON, and it’s the perfect place to go and spend a really good time with friends or even yourself. The bartender Pedro it was amazing, his customer service and treatment is incredibly, always paying attention to every single detail with every single customer. I honestly recommend this place 100%. If you come to NYC is the place to go, ask for Pedro and you will have the best experience ever.

    This bar is my go to spot for a casual drink. The service is always great! Pedro always makes sure you’re taken care of from the moment you sit down. Even with outdoor seating, he ensures he is attentive. Great service!

    Came here for Halloween weekend randomly and they were having a drag show. The drag queen that night was kind of funny. Funniest moment was the mash up of Big girls dont cry and New York Tiffany Pollard. The drinks are affordable but my margarita was a bit sweet. Did not spend much time here.

    Great atmosphere and staff. Very welcoming and there to have fun. Ive come here for bingo, shows and just to chill on the rando occasion. This doesnt feel like a cruisy HK joint which I prefer.     I went to Icon Bar for the first time today along with many friends that I have invited to come out with me. The bartender (Dakota) was extremely pleasant, professional and helpful. I received many, many comments from my friends on how great the the atmosphere and most importantly Dakotas service was. Dakota was fun, attentive, and everyone had a great time thanks to his great service. Would definitely recommend! !! I would recommend this bar to anyone and would come again in an instant!!!! Their drinks are really good and are made at your convenience. They offered me, and my friends a lot of alcohol based suggestions that helped us select the best choices. The whole experience with Icon bar and Dakota was phenomenal!Dakota added to the quality of my night with my friends!This service was exactly what we needed for our night out.

    This review is for Alex and Skip’s Ladies and Gentlethemmes event held on Sunday 5/15/22 from 2-6 PM.These two are event planning professionals and pioneers, who are carving a space for folks that is much desired, much loved, and much needed. They successfully created a fun loving, safe, warm, mindful and inclusive space for queer women and non-binary folks to have some fun and connect with each other! Although the event took place at Icon, a lovely bar, Alex and Skip took care in catering to folks who don’t drink alcohol as well, with their list of carefully curated mocktails and games that provided engaging activities beyond consuming alcohol.Furthermore, the timing of the event was excellent, taking advantage of usually quieter hours at a bar, Sunday at 2 PM and ending early, around 6 PM which is great for the working professional or student.I would love to attend more events hosted by Alex and Skip. They know how to cater to the lgbtq+ community really, really well! 🧡

    Went to Icon Bar I don’t leave Manhattan much and was very surprised on how great the bar was the music was fun the place wasn’t busy but everybody seem to be having a good time, thanks to the Bartender Pedro who made our evening very memorable.     My favorite place to be around people. It’s an unpretentious bar with great entertainment and a nice space to dance the night away. Great music (on the top 40s side) and Djs. Very friendly staff (love Pedro, Skip, Dakotah, Stephen and Danny). And strong fair-priced drinks. Can’t wait until I can dance the nights away in here again.

    Bar was not crowded when we arrived a little after 8 PM on Saturday, but it got crowded shortly afterwards. The bartender was very friendly and funny. Drinks are good. Music is fun - videos when we arrived and then later there was a DJ. This is a great small gay bar in Astoria Queens. No attitude. Wish there were more like this. We will return next time we are in the neighborhood.

    Icon is a fantastic bar. One of the few all inclusive LGBTQ bars in NYC. Every night there’s always a show going on hosted by some very talended drag queens. For the Astoria residents, it’s a great getaway on the weekends for those that don’t want to commute to Manhattan.The new owners (who bought this bar about a year ago) have made awesome changes to the bar.Bartenders are friendly and welcoming - Dakotah and Cody are AWESOME.Dancing on the weekends with awesome DJs.What I love most about this place is there is a variety of guys that come through, so there’s always somebody for someone.Definitely worth a trip on a Friday and Saturday night.
