Joanne Trattoria has been open for around 10 years, Id guess. We live 5 blocks away, and today was our first visit to this establishment. Why it took us so long to finally dine here I dont know, but well certainly be returning, the food was great. Our appetizers, mains, and dessert were all fantastic. Why isnt this place rated higher on Google, I have no idea? The food and service were very good, and most importantly, our dog loved the leftover meatballs! -

Let me start by saying I am a huge Lady Gaga fan so by default it will get 5 stars. Ok, thats out of the way. I really enjoyed the lamb. It was very tender and had delicious flavoring. The cheesecake was also tasty and it was so good with the fruit topping. Expect to get a lot of food on your plate. I left very full and well fed. The outside patio looked very nice but it was far too cold to enjoy this area on the day of our visit. If you look about you will see bits of Gaga scattered about so it is a must-see for fans. I asked my boyfriend (the Birthday boy) how he liked his spaghetti and he said he loved it, so Ill give the food 5 stars. -

Very great atmosphere. If you’re looking for romantic, date-y vibe, this is your spot! Wait staff are excellent. Chef and staff are responsive and accept feedback quickly. Over the restaurant wants you to be happy and have a great time!Food was good. It’s NY so you’re paying NY prices (not a problem at all) and they are willing to adjust menu to make sure you get what you want (I wanted meatballs and sausage and they delivered, very happy!)The only reason this is a 4 not a 5 is I think the food was good not awesome. BUT, I will be back! It was tasty enough for me to want to visit again :) -

I was wondering why my buddy had his heart set on this place and then realizing it’s Motha Gaga’s place it totally made sense. Gaga is my number one and she is known to take care of the drag queens and gay people she performs with so it was an honor to support her place. What set this place apart was the 8 nonalcoholic cocktails to choose from. I had the Negroni, and the Amarro bottled cocktail. Honestly just excited to see these and try them.I ordered Brussels with pancetta, prosciutto and melon basil and smoked salmon app. All three were homey. My buddy ordered the Ribeye with mashed potatoes and I didn’t get a bite of the Ribeye but the potatoes were awesome.Instagram: @holycityhost -

Joanne Trattoria is an exceptional dining experience where traditional Italian flavors meet modern culinary excellence. The ambiance strikes a perfect balance between elegance and comfort, making it ideal for both romantic evenings and family gatherings. Service is impeccable, with a warm and attentive staff that truly makes you feel at home. -

Hands down the BEST place I have ever been.I actually can’t get over the experience I had, I went to Joanne’s because of my love of Lady Gaga so I thought it was going to be a quite exclusive place, where you eat and leave. I was definitely wrong. I got to personally meet Joe and Cynthia Germanotta. The most lovely and attentive people I have met.The bar tender was the most lovely person and made the most amazing drinks (highly recommend the big monster cocktail). The staff and manger gave the best service you could get.The performance was out of this world, there’s a reason they say the best drags queens are from nyc. There are so many more things I could say but my point is, you NEED to experience what I did tonight. -

Amazing. Absolutely amazing. Everything we ordered was delicious!! We started with some wine, which was a healthy portion. We ordered the fried calamari and it was wonderful. Their marinara is the bomb. I had the chicken parm. One of the best I’ve ever had. My friend ordered their special of the night, which was seafood ravioli. Wait staff is great, loved the atmosphere. 10/10 -

We had the most lovely time at Joanne for a party recently!! Sydney was so helpful ahead of time to get all the plans in place. On the day of when we were running a bit early, we were welcomed with ease! The drinks, food, & service were all excellent!! Not to mention, we never felt rushed and the kids were having a blast. The staff were so generous with their space and patience with the kids. We received so many compliments from our guests of how wonderful the day was & a lot of that was due in part to the hospitality at Joanne. Not a thing we would have changed. We really look forward to be back again for future celebrations. -

Nice place to have a nice dinner, pasta was sooo good that we kept making noises of pleasure while eating. Service was nice, girls on the front and bar were very polite and cute 🥰The only thing was that a restaurant is very small and we waited for our check for a quite long time. -

We celebrated a birthday for 16 people on a Friday night. The booking process was very friendly, the food was excellent and the service superb. There was live music that day that made the event even more special.Would definitely look to book it again for party dinner or just a nice meal. -

A wonderfully cozy restaurant w/great, personable service of food that really shocked me how great it was!The food is wonderful, very large portions, and reasonably priced. I was wonderfully surprised at the great all-around quality of food and service -
Review 12 (2019-11-03 - Rating: 4)
It was good! Sauce was super tasty. Portions were not as large as I was expecting for an Italian restaurant, but the veal parm was more than filling. Canole was great as well. -
Review 13 (2024-11-24 - Rating: 4)
We loved it - taste profile of the food is heavy, perhaps best suited to those who still smoke and drink -
Review 14 (2021-07-27 - Rating: 5)
A taste of Italy upon the platelets of my tongue. A sweet smell of tomato upon my breath. Great staff, and good food. -
Review 15 (2018-05-01 - Rating: 5)
Being a Lady Gaga stan and a foodie, it’s no surprise that the best of these two worlds collide together in this cozy Italian American restaurant. It has become a tradition of mine to have dinner here everytime I am in New York. The food is so delicious, and the service is great. I feel like I am at my best friend’s (who is Italian) house for dinner! This time around I got the spaghetti & meatballs (like the first time I came to this restaurant in 2014), and was surprised to know that you can change your pasta! I settled for the homemade linguini after the server’s recommendation and it was AMAZING. For desert, their red velvet cake is DELICIOUS. Sadly this time they were out of it so I settled for a tiramisu which was also delicious. All in all, if you love cozy and warm Italian American spaces with great food and staff, this is the place to go! Going at night is great because the Upper West Side at night is so goregous. :’) -

Delicious food, family atmosphere, and wonderful service! Bobbie made a great Manhattan to start, and I very much enjoyed the ricotta mushroom bruschetta and Joanne’s famous meatballs. Thanks, y’all! 🤗 -

I have traveled from Spain to Joe Germanottas Restaurant and the experience was amazing! The food was delicious and the restaurant so quiet and relax :) Its was a very good place and my family were very happy with the treat of service and food!My mom is vegetarian and she could eat veggie food!Thank you very much -

Tasty food and super nice wait staff. We had the Gnocchi and Vodka alle Penne. Large portions- so might consider sharing. -
Review 19 (2024-06-25 - Rating: 4)
Overall very good experience... im a huge gaga fan. Cozy and contemporary. Food was decent ..Ambiance cozy. Service good. And of course the sweet namesake - Joannes adds another element to the restaurants character. Joanne was Lady gagas fathers sister who died tragically of Lupus. -
Review 20 (2024-05-28 - Rating: 5)
Gluten free pizza, grilled salmon, Brussels sprouts, and broccoli rabe were amazing!! A little slice of Germanottas and lots of little nods to Lady Gaga and her family and career in the cozy restaurant! -

Review 23 (2023-08-22 - Rating: 5)
Casual dress I loved it already, ... The food is very good, very, very good. And the price is surprising since it tastes so good, and its priced right. The staff is welcoming, and not over bearing. They know the food is very good, and the presentation, and the staff make it work. The steady flow of people told me this is a local spot. Thanks Google! For the recommendations!!! - Durango Dank -
Review 24 (2024-06-25 - Rating: 4)
I wasn’t prepared for how big the portions were. I’ve heard other complain the the place is expensive, but I disagree considering the amount of food you get with your portions. We got the eggplant parmigiana, spaghetti and meatballs, and the veal special. I had an Edge of Glory to drinkThe spaghetti and meatballs were good. The star is obviously the meatballs. I think their red sauce is pretty standard, good but doesn’t blow you away. The eggplant parm was also delicious. I didn’t know that it also came with linguini. If I had known I would have just gotten meatballs without the spaghetti because it was just a ton of pasta. The veal special was great and the largest dish. The veal was topped with sausage and peppers and served over a bed of garlic mashed potatoes and a side salad.I think the biggest disappointment was the edge of glory. The name alone makes it seem like it’s something exciting. A passion fruit margarita with champagne sounds like a good idea but I didn’t really taste passion fruit nor the champagne or anything bubbly. It just tasted like a bad margarita. -

If you are in new York, you have to stop and have dinner here at lady Gagas restaurant. Atmosphere was very nice, food was so good, nice little spot for a quiet night out. -

Review 27 (2023-11-06 - Rating: 5)
Wonderful atmosphere and service, we had a group of 8 and they were very accommodating we had the meatball volcano and bruschetta for an appetizer and it was great and they have a fantastic chicken Parmesan that we are all still thinking about! We were greeted by the owner and that just doesn’t happen a lot anymore, so that was very very special. -
Review 28 (2023-02-14 - Rating: 5)
On a trip to New York on our honeymoon we stopped of here as it was near our hotel and we are glad we did. The quaint we exterior invites you into an intimate setting which felt comfortable with enough space between you and the next table. We had read reviews that the portion sizes were generous but after a full day of walking we were hungry so ordered starters. Both ordering meatballs from the polite and friendly staff, when they arrived they looked great and we tucked in accordingly. From the first bite it was clear that the food was authentic, fresh and delicious. By the time we had finished we realised that portion sizes were indeed generous to the point that we were both thinking that we would be struggling with our mains of lasagna and pizza. When the mains arrived it was clear that we were not going to be asking for the desert menu with the portions being exceedingly generous. Having had a single slice of pizza we made the tactical decision to split the lasagna and save the pizza for take out, which the restaurant kindly obliged. Despite having only shared a main we both left the restaurant, pizza box under arm stating it was the fullest we had ever been and doubted we would need to eat again for a long while. To sum up I could not have asked for more. High quality food with more than generous dish sizes at a reasonable cost point. Its a shame I live in the UK or I would definitely be going back on a regular basis. -
Review 29 (2022-08-12 - Rating: 4)
From the warm welcoming to the delicious food, everything is really nice. I just think the prices are a little to high for the quality of the food. -
Review 30 (2023-11-06 - Rating: 5)
We loved this restaurant!! The food was great, and we loved getting to meet Lady Gagas dad, Joe. He is the owner and he was so nice. My favorite was the bruschetta and the chicken Alfredo. Definitely check them out if youre in NYC! -

Review 32 (2023-04-01 - Rating: 5)
This is my favorite place to indulge in amazing Italian food when visiting the city. The food is delicious, the atmosphere is cozy, and the service is exactly what you would expect from Lady Gaga’s family restaurant— perfection. My most recent visit will forever be my favorite memory of this restaurant tradition of mine because I was able to meet Lady Gaga’s dad, Joe Germanotta. I am a huge follower of anything Gaga, so of course I recognized Joe! He was a kind, humble, and hardworking gentleman— he made sure everyone dining in his restaurant was having a great experience. I was even lucky to get a picture with him. Don’t forget to grab some Lady Gaga merchandise before you leave! I can’t wait to visit the city again to dine at the one and only, Joanne Trattoria :) -
Review 33 (2022-07-28 - Rating: 5)
I had a small wonderful event here, delicious food and wine. Had the honor to meet the owner of the restaurant which is father of Lady Gaga. It’s a cute small restaurant with friendly staff, with solid service and food. -

I love this restaurant. Amir was our waiter and he’s amazing. He explained the menu in details, was very fast and attentive. He was very kind to my 2 year old boy too. Ask for him next time you’re here. The food was delicious, especially the meat lasagna, and the cannoli (my god) was incredible delicious. The executive menu coasts a very reasonable price.Really recommend it! -
Review 35 (2019-05-20 - Rating: 5)
I would highly recommend this restaurant to not only every little monster, but also to anyone who just likes a simple, yet delicious Italian dinner. I ordered the Spaghetti and Meatball and it was divine. The meatball was deliciously flavored and seasoned and was much more than your regular meatball. The pasta and sauce was very yummy. The only complaint I have is that my salad was very warm and didn’t taste fresh, but the pasta I ate made me forget about this. Bonus: there’s photos, autographs, and memorabilia of Lady Gaga’s career all over the restaurant.... And the price for a dinner and drink: ONLY $25. Go on a Sunday for the spaghetti dinner special! Good prices for New York City, but still tastes as good as anything else you’ll find in the city. -
Review 36 (2023-02-10 - Rating: 5)
An outstanding experience. The atmosphere is charming, the staff are friendly, and the food is to die for. The white truffle gnocchi is a dish I’ll keep coming back for. Pricing is very reasonable plus the darling Liberty was performing live music the night we met. -

We had a private party at Joannes snd it went off without a hitch! The staff was well organized and communicative prior to the event. The event hosted 50 people and there were plenty of food and options! The staff was welcoming and friendly, they were attentive throughout the entire event. We cant wait to host another event at Joannes -
Review 38 (2019-04-18 - Rating: 4)
Joanne Trattoria is a nice little Italian restaurant. The ambiance is home-like and cozy. Plates range generally from $20-$30. That doesnt sound too bad, but would you want to spend $24 for a plate of spaghetti and meatballs? With that being said, the meatballs are fantastic. Some of the best Ive had. They give grandma a run for her money. The service is quick and polite. All in all it was a pleasant experience and I left there with a full belly and a smile on my face. What more could anyone ask for? -
Review 39 (2019-10-16 - Rating: 5)
My daughter is a massive Lady Gaga fan and she chose Joanne Trattoria for the place that she wanted to come to for her recent 21st birthday. We had travelled all of the way from England and Joanne Trattoria did not disappoint. Food was hot and excellent, especially the meat balls. My daughter is a vegetarian so she had the meat free ones and she said that they were amazing too. We also had puddings and we seriously could not fault a thing. Service was also fast and friendly and we would recommend this restaurant to anyone. -

Review 42 (2022-11-13 - Rating: 4)
I didnt see lady gaga but I still had a nice meal a the bar and all the patrons were really friendly and the staff everyone kept commenting on the book I was reading. Lots of clam in the clam linguini. Hope I met lady gaga next time and our eyes meet and then an awkward kiss as we passionately embrace. -
Review 43 (2022-12-08 - Rating: 5)
The food here is wonderful. I have been several times now and can always count on the quality being the same, which is wonderful. The service is fantastic and on those nights when there is live entertainment the music has been fantastic. -

Wonderful Summer night, delicious meal! Service was delightful, with a waitress who enjoyed being there! A nice menu, pasta ( of course) and meat as well as fish. Desserts were nice, though (sadly) no glacé/sorbet. Enjoy! -

Great food, amazing service! -
Review 46 (2021-06-13 - Rating: 4)
The ambience is very nice & the entertainment they had on Friday was very nice. Be weary when you order the terramsu dessert because it contains a shot of amaretto and some kids had ordered the dessert .it is not listed on the menu with alcohol. My friend ordered the veal and it tasted as though it was drenched in vinegar & it didnt appear to taste fresh. When we told the waiter he said other people had complained about it. -
Review 47 (2018-03-20 - Rating: 4)
I had heard of the restaurant through an old friend, who had mentioned that Lady Gagas family owned it. The environment was warm and charming, with dim-lit lights and brick walls- it had a very old school Italian feel, which was important to a true Italian like myself. The hostess was friendly and sat us within 10 minutes of arriving. I ordered the antipasti (a small selection of bread, cheese, and salami and other hard cured meats) and spaghetti and meatballs (meatballs were highly lauded by my friend). I was quite pleased with the meatballs, and the spaghetti was homemade and equally delicious. The antipasti was great as well, but the bread was slightly stale. All in all, I see myself returning for the meatballs at some point in the future. -
Review 48 (2022-07-23 - Rating: 4)
Pricy but a good experience. There was a performer on the patio which was lovely. The only negative part of the experience was the fact that they don’t have menus but iPads — the first 2 I recieved didn’t work so into husband and I shared. But it took time to load, was difficult to navigate, and there was even a pop up we had to close out of to view the menu. That can’t be efficient, sanitary, or environmentally conscious. Overall a very odd choice of menu display. -
Review 49 (2023-05-20 - Rating: 5)
Such a great little restaurant! So glad we were able to visit. The food was delicious and our server was wonderful! Will definitely visit again next time I’m in NYC. -

I had the Sangria cocktail during the happy hour and it was totally worth it. The staff was so lovely and helpful. Can’t wait to come back soon and try the menu! -
Review 51 (2022-07-22 - Rating: 5)
So here is my input and I will start it out by saying this is Lady GaGa restaurant which for my daughter it just doesnt get better. So anyways We visited and ate dinner by the way Great food and for NYC very reasonable price . The part besides the food that sold it for me was my daughter is home in Washington state and we promised her we would go check it out for her and buy some stuff for her like a signed cook book things like that but as we were sitting there lady gaga dad walked by and we told him the story so he took some of his valuable time and called my daughter to say hello needless to say it really made her day. So if you are in NYC want a good meal at a fair price this is where u need to go and who knows who u might see. The service was great the staff was awsome and the food was great .....I cant recommend this place enough its a great family environment also. -
Review 52 (2018-12-17 - Rating: 5)
Wow. Simply wow. Lets put aside how famous this place is for its celebrity reason. Food is amazing. Bartender knows how to mix a drink, the John Wayne was perfect blend. Waitress very pleasant and accommodating after receiving one of our plates which didnt taste right. Ordered another dish without much of a question. The restaurant was overall smaller than I imagined, though it was perfectly sized for being an Italian restaurant. Everything was perfectly set to make this anniversary date night perfect. -
Review 53 (2022-05-04 - Rating: 5)
Five stars for Joannes Trattoria! By far the best food in NYC. The staff is lovely, the owner was very accomdating, and the enviroment feels like your are in your own house! I have eaten at many well known restaurants in NYC and by far this exceeds all of them. My favorite dish is the spaghetti and meatballs along with rice balls. The prices are reasonable, and you never feel rushed! Looking forward to celebrating Mothers Day there. Five stars for Joannes -

We had a delicious meal and great service! The servers and staff were very kind and we even said hi to the owner, Joe. It was a fantastic experience and the staff really helped make us feel at home during our meal. Thanks for a great experience... I cant wait to go back! -
Review 55 (2023-02-28 - Rating: 5)
My friends and I came here after a show and although we were early for our reservation they were nice enough to have us seated right away. We ordered calamari, we was great!, the margarita pizza ( you can skip this one- it was plain, no flavor to it and the sauce was runny - overall not good), penne ala vodka (added grilled shrimp and this was SO GOOD) and the eggplant parm was great! For dessert we had the chocolate moose cake, ricotta cake and lemon curd cake - all delicious! Would recommend this place for anyone craving good Italian food! -
Review 56 (2018-12-07 - Rating: 5)
This is a great Italian restaurant in the city! The food was delicious, and the service was excellent also. The back room has a really cool ambiance, mimicking being on the streets of Italy - in the warmer months, the roof opens up for some natural light and fresh air, giving you a cool view of its backyard and some city buildings. -
Review 57 (2023-01-02 - Rating: 5)
Excellent service, appetizers (we had the caprese salad and the polpette di melanzane with a fantastic homemade tomato sauce for dipping), drinks (mojitos were excellent, and nearly 50% off tonight), entrees (Mom’s lemon artichoke chicken, and the seafood risotto), and wrapping up with fresh-filled cannolis (order comes with 2), and yet not all of the music is Lady Gaga’s! A wonderful time, definitely worth the extra $$$ tip! -
Review 58 (2019-01-21 - Rating: 5)
We had an amazing meal at Joanne Trattoria! Its a bit small and cozy, so keep that in mind. Tables are close together making it a tight fit. The eggplant meatballs and the fettuccine Alfredo with truffle was to die for! My husband loves the meatball appetizer and the Bolognese pasta. Cant wait to go back!! -
Review 59 (2022-06-21 - Rating: 5)
Amazing from the moment we walked in to when we left. Staff was courteous, attentive and overall made our visit very comfortable. Food portions were massive, and I think we got our money’s worth. I got the Chicken parm, garm parm fries, and cheesecake! Everyone at our table loved their own orders, and we even purchased some merch on the way out. Also, a must visit location for any fans of Lady Gaga! Will be returning all the way from Toronto, Canada! Thank you Joanne! -

I hosted my birthday party at Joanne Trattoria, and couldnt have been more pleased with the experience. The owner was responsive and so helpful during the planning processing, helping me accommodate for dietary restrictions. He went out of his way to let me know when there was a performance that was planned after my birthday party was booked, but the performer only made the dinner more special. We had the whole back patio to ourselves, and the food was delicious. Our server Yasmin was wonderful and so attentive. My guests and I all had a fun time! -
Review 61 (2019-09-19 - Rating: 4)
Small place. Typical of others in NYC. Ok food. A bit pricey but that was expected. Gaga fans need more Gaga music played. Outside seating area is pretty. Wouldnt go back but scratched it off my to do list. -
Review 62 (2015-05-08 - Rating: 4)
Great food and service. Hostest could have been more pleasant but overall a great time. Watch out for the Gaga super fans that will try to take over the room. Note to them, were just here to eat dinner and not to watch you perform. Id definitely return! -
Review 63 (2021-07-28 - Rating: 5)
Stopped in on a Wednesday, mid afternoon and it was pretty quiet. Was seated quickly in the back area right by the patio. Nice layout of the space which is quite large, but had a cute and cozy feeling to it. Two bathrooms located by the front bar were quite small, but clean and had all necessary amenities. Now for the good part. I ordered the chicken scarpariello and couldn’t have imagined a more perfect and delicious piece of chicken. Juicy, tender and full of flavor from the sauce that was so good, I can’t even describe it!! Only thing I wish and this is just nitpicking is that the chicken was boneless. Also had the parmesan fries which were good, but nothing spectacular and at $12 probably wouldn’t have been missed. I would highly recommend this place and the chicken scarpariello never less. -
Review 64 (2021-04-05 - Rating: 4)
Have been wanting to go here for years seeing as its Gagas family or something. I got spaghetti and meat balls and it was good. My boyfriend loved it! The atmosphere was great and we enjoyed the ambiance. -

AMAZING! Ive been to Joannes numerous times... the food/menu is awesome! Last night I ordered the Chicken Parmigiana dinner(melted cheese & sauce delicious)my friend had the Red Snapper, both delicious! We equally loved the lightness of the tiramisu. Other recommendations to order; Spaghetti/meatballs, Calamari, Broccoli rabe and sausage, the easy bake your own pizza at home is delicious and fun for the family(the dough is ready, add toppings and just bake)any of the pastas. You cant really go wrong with anything, ready to try something new, they also deliver Dominican food now. Gotta try that now. Bon Appetite! -
Review 67 (2020-09-02 - Rating: 5)
We had dinner outside on the sidewalk since there is no inside dining in NYC yet. Service was wonderful, the food was delicious (vodka penne and chicken Marsala) and traffic was minimal since it’s on a side street. Go try it now. -

Went to Joanne Trattoria on Saturday. Thanks, Lynne Bushey. The food was amazing. I had the chefs special seafood over Talleys in a white wine sauce -

This is one of the best experience I ever had. As a Little Monster, I was thrilled to be at the Germanottas restaurant. But everything was even better than I expected. The staffs were super nice and friendly. Theyre like a big family so it gives you a warm and welcome atmosphere. The food was outstanding. The spaghetti and sauce was good. But the meatball was insanely good. Best meatball I ever had. The tiramisu was also excellent. The bitter of the expresso balanced out the sweet and creamy of the mascarpone. Its such a great place. It makes me feel closer to Gaga.P/s: I met a friend of the Germanotta family there. He said his name is Dallas and he also appears in their cookbook. So I looked him up after I left. Turned out, hes Dallas Mayr, also knows as Jack Ketchum, a famous author. Too bad I didnt ask him for a picture. -

This place was amazing. We loved the atmosphere and Joe Germanotta was at the bar when we walked in. He was so friendly. LGs family is so down to earth you would never think they are the family of such a superstar. We loved the food too. Recommend the Arancinis and the meatballs were fabuloso. Also take a gander around you will find lots of LG memorabilia, but look close or you will miss stuff. Everything looks like a storybook. -

The food was absolutely delicious and fresh. My daughter got cheese pizza and I am pretty sure it was the best crust ever and I live in nj so I know pizza. I had the penne pasta with broccoli rabe.......WOW!!!!!! Prices are very reasonable too!!! No Gaga sighting but the food made up for that!!!!! Wonderful!!!! -

Cute, neighborhood restaurant. We were immediately seated, and offered drinks. We had to ask for bread, but our food came out piping hot. Food was very good, too! -

Amazing! Large selection of Italian food. Dinner for two, teen & mom, Chicken parmesan & lemon artichoke chicken. Chicken parm. NOT a frozen breaded cutlet😋. Each chicken could be cut with a butter knife, they were so fresh & tender. Each dish came with spaghetti and even that was NOT BOXED. Reservations are definitely recommended. They open at 4:30 for dinner on Saturday. We got there just after 5, thinking we wouldnt have any problem getting a table, but our options were to wait, sit in the dining room & be a little rushed (bcse of a 6pm res), or sit at one of 3 tables in the front bar area. We chose option 3. I will definitely make a reservation next time, bcse it looks like they have BEAUTIFUL outdoor seating at the back of the restaurant. -

Hello, Seferino here. I booked a reservation for my thirty first birthday, and I did not attend due to financial responsibilities. I booked a table for two and asked for lady gaga to be at my table upon arrival, instead, I just stayed home instead in Phoenix, Arizona. I literally had to book the plane tickets, buy an outfit, get a hotel room, actually pay for the dinner and then book a flight that same evening. Thanks so much Joanne Trattoria, I will soon be back when actually get to see New York and stay for a holiday, preferably around thanksgiving or Valentines day. Thanks so much, hope to hear from you soon. God Bless, the U.S.A. Grazzi. -

We had a party of 7 of us and they gave us the small cozy room without us even asking , such a nice gesture to begin with, the food is not expensive at all if you see the portions , and it was delicious! The atmosphere was perfect as well. Will definitely come back. -

Really good italian food and the atmosphere pays tribute to Joanne and Lady Gaga. The feeling is opposite of a restaurant and more of a family home. My personal plate was a caprese salad which is my favorite, however it was rather small for the price. -

My friend Dallas used to frequent here. He passed away earlier this year. I came back to his old haunt to have a drink in his honor. We had some pinot noir, beet arugula salad and the chefs special pizza. It was delicious. I miss my friend but am reminded of him everytime I come here. -

I really enjoyed this place. When we got there, we were the only ones in the entire restaurant, so service was very good. That said, our waitress was very pleasant. We sat in the patio area, which was comfortable and attractive. This is one of the very few restaurants I’ve been to that is more high-tech, offering an iPad as a menu, which I know not everyone would appreciate, but I did.One thing I loved about this place is that they have a lot of great choices when it comes to vegetarian and vegan options. We ordered the calamari to begin with. Got to say, it’s one of the better fried calamari dishes that I’ve ever had! Had the gnocchi as a main dish, which was very good. They were done perfectly, and the sauce was tasty and decently hearty. This is a place I’d recommend without hesitation. You never know, Gaga might be there. She apparently still stops in to help out. However, for those that are physically handicapped, this is not the best option, although there is very minimal seating outside of the restaurant. -

Cozy neighborhood spot and one of the only places around with a patio that’s perfect when it’s nice out and cozy with a fireplace when it’s winter. They have good wine on tap and their Gaga Pinot Noir is our favorite. Eggplant parm is my favorite dish. -

If you’re looking for a very low key, quiet and cozy brunch spot, this is ideal. Brunch is on the expensive side ($21 for a frittata with toast and berries, $6 for a cappuccino), but the portions are huge and you get high quality ingredients. There’s a wide variety of veggies, meats, and cheeses to choose from for the frittata, and it comes with good bread and berries as mentioned. There were fireplaces throughout the restaurant and even though it was winter we were able to sit out on the back patio which is enclosed and covered - a bit chilly unless you sit right by the fireplace. Very peaceful and delicious food! Will have to come back for dinner. -

Last Saturday afternoon, my group of 17 ppl stumbled upon this restaurant without a reservation Some people in my group wanted to try this place because it’s owned by Lady GaGa’s family and we are glad we did. One of the managers Amir really took care of us and went above and beyond making sure our group was satisfied. The portions are plenty and the food was delicious. The restaurant is such a chic and comfortable place and we felt very welcomed the minute we walked through the door. -

We had strip steak and chicken parm - both were delicious. The chicken was thin cutlet and crisped on the edges, flavorful. Steak done perfectly and excellent mashed potato side. We had an early res due to a Sun eve show at the Beacon. Not sure if it was the day or the hour, but even though there were few customers at the early hour the service was so poor. We sat for 30 minutes before we ordered (after drink order) and never checked on during meal. Had to go inside to find server to ask for check. There are plenty of places with great food. -

In Manhattan for work and googled ‘Italian near me’ which produced 100 results. Picked this restaurant for purely sentimental reasons; my mom JoAnn died 2 yr ago and I’m still able to cry any time. My mom made the best eggplant, so that’s what I ordered and it was delicious! . I’ll let the 2 JoAnn’s compare recipes in heaven as I also found out, only after someone here told me - this is owned by Lady Gaga’s parents! ( #1 the song was sent to me after my mom died/#2 I saw a Star is Born 11 times In the theatre). The Lesson: Follow your gut and the reviews. This place is a perfect hidden gem! Tell Gaga I’ll see her in LV in 6/15! -

WOW. I can honestly say this is the best dining experience I have ever had! The staff here is amazing and super friendly. Our hostess, Bela, was warm, welcoming, and I truly felt like she cared. Caleigh, our server for the evening, was just as wonderful. She made us feel we were the only table in the room. 10/10 recommend! Especially the Wednesday night drag show, it’s a treat!
