    Went there for the 2 for 1 happy hour on Friday. The bartenders were friendly and polite, the drinks are really made with top shelf liquor and the DJ was great! I had a henny lemon drop. The only little issue I had was, there wasnt much American finger foods on the menu. The menu was more Indian inspired. I got chicken wings, which were fine I just wanted something that would be less messy to eat. Overall, I will definitely be returning.

    Came here on a Monday for a holiday party hosted by someone I know. Its a small area but its pretty cozy I think. The food and drink on the menu can be pretty pricey so I just ordered naan cause I wasnt looking to spend too much. It was really good and fluffy. Theres lot seats and the bartender was pretty nice. Its a good place I think for a holiday party or get together. Would like to come back and see how it is on the weekend.

    The bartender Downstairs I think his name was Joseph or Jonathan lol were very nice thanks.the waiter that has tattoo on his neck sorry forgot your name :( were very accommodating!I had a very good time will definitely come back ;)Awesome music as well!Hookah is $50 plus coal change is plus $10 :( hence 4stars.Shoutout the photographer Nyeri!!!

    Went here for my cousins bday party. Place is nice. The line was super long. Thank God we had V.I.P. didnt have to wait in the cold...lol. We had bottle service all night. Great Caribbean style food (if you want to eat there). Even though we had bottle service all night I wanted a beer. So I went to the bar and got my wife a special drink. Needless to say the drinks at the bar are over priced. Theres no telling how much my cousin spent that night. Atmosphere was dope. Music was great. And the females were on point. Everyone was there to party. Very rare to find nice places like this. Definitely would recommend this place.

    Spent my New Years Eve birthday here & it was a blast. Great variety of appetizers well cooked and served w/a smile! Great bartenders and wonderful Dj setting the ambiance just right for a lively party. We had a section that was very well attended to. Shout out to the staff who kept the place clean and didn’t miss a beat when it came to security escorting out ANYONE who exhibited any form of unstable behavior! We all really enjoyed ourselves & will come again🥂

    We had a ball!! As always. But the food service has to get better. My friend waited 2hrs for food. And I waited over 30 mins for my drink order to be taken. I ended up just going to the bar. But they need 3 or more servers on each floor. It gets lit and packed quickly. Again great spot to party tho. Just a few things need to be worked on.

    I held my staff end of the year party at Katra, my staff of teachers are still talking about the fun, the service, and how lit it was. We were pleased with everything, the catering was great and extremely professional. We ate more food then we could hold and so many people took food home. The bartenders were awesome and attentive to the needs of all staff members. We were able to have our own private space downstairs and bring our own Dj. We anticipate that we will absolutely be going back to Katra for our end of term party! You can’t ask for more when it comes to service!

    The brunch goes until late night (9pm ish) and includes an assortment of dishes (we had 5 of them) that all were plentiful and delicious.DJ had the vibe cruising the entire night, as the nightclub scene turned up around 11. Good time, great space and crowd all around. Drinks are 🔥 too!

    Hookah was mid. However, you should get a section if you want to smoke hookah all night. The chairs are removed from the floor at some point.It got packed around 11/12.The DJs were lit. It was a Saturday and fun.I had fries for food so thats all I can say on the food portion.I think I paid $16-17 for a menu drink.Overall worth a pop in.

    Overall rating: 4.2I stumbled on this place with friends looking for hookah. I am ABSOLUTELY OBSESSED WITH THE WINGS AND FRIES.If it wasn’t good, I’d probably rate this a 3-3.5. The service is terrible. The dj is terrible. The place is terrible. And! It’s so expensive for a terrible place. But I’ll probably be coming back to get some wings to go, ngl.If you live in the ratchet world, you’ll probably like this place. But also don’t give them your money. There are other classy ratchet places.

    Katra is a beautiful establishment. But its a real fire trap. Too many people. It took 1 hour just to get past to exit.Also, covid. They need better guidelines to ensure safety. This place is a covid party waiting to happen.I had fun, though.

    This place is a old staple but since the refugees started coming these past few months there is a huge collection of sus peeps in large groups by the place that made my date uncomfortable. Is this Katras fault? No. That’s why I gave it 5 stars so they don’t get mad. Inside the place it’s great.

    Another AMAZING event! My friends and I celebrated a birthday here this past weekend and I cant say enough how awesome the Manager Ra was, he and his team were professional and really pleasant to deal with! The food & music were total vibes and cant wait to return. If youre looking a great brunch/day party on the LES be sure to check this place out. (Weve partied here late night and its just as much fun)

    It is definitely a great vibe, musically. Although, they juggled djs and played all the good music in the early hours only to have to play the same songs again later in the night. No problem - we danced to it twice. The wings were excellent and fries were fresh. Service was good. The alcoholic drinks were watered down. I recommend buy the beer in the bottle. Mixed drinks will not give you anythang.... Or maybe it was the ones I chose.....

    Very nice vibe. I got invited to a birthday gathering there, and the music was great, the people were even better. Everyone danced the night away without judgment and enjoyed the time. It closes at 1am though; personally I feel like thats early but you sure get your fair share of fun:). I will definitely go there again!

    My friend and I visited last Friday night. My first time, the music 🎶 was Everything. Old school R,&B, reggae and dancehall even a little Soca. Had us dancing all night. Our bartender Dana was fantastic, the drinks 🍸 were so on point. Security was on point too made sure we got in our Uber safely when leaving.

    Came here for after work holiday party with a group. We were welcomed with 5 star hospitality service that made us feel super VIP. Everything from DJ to bartenders, hookah service, food was executed/ prepared with perfection. Katra Lounge, its staff and owners know exactly what they are doing. No wonder why its been around for so long. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!! 🔥

    Good new year party but bouncer was worst anyone can be…We were there for new yr party’17. Super crowded and management had not expected this much crowd. They charged for checking coats which were not there in the ad. There were 2 levels and DJ were different at both levels. We did not get many starters as we were promised. The bartender was trying her best to keep happy everyone. Upper level has sofa seats and groups seating arrangement. It was quite congested but we had a good time. They had all the options in liquor. The only worst thing was when I went out with my friend after 1 for smoke, they did not let us in and we had a fight over this.Management was quite helpless on this, seems few brown people arranged this event and they had less authority over this.Party wise-its good. Rest-they needs to improve.

    I had my birthday brunch at Katra Lounge. It was organized by TD group, which offered 2 hour bottomless mimosas and Bellinis for $45 each (Brunch N Shhh). I paid a $50 deposit for my reservation of 6. Despite the curt and unresponsive waitress, I had an amazing time.Pros: The drinks were strong and the music was amazing. The restaurant/ lounge is cozy and the decor is Moroccan inspired. Special shout out to the charismatic bartender Chris, who told the DJ to shout out that it was my birthday. Chris and the DJ Ty are the main reasons for the 5 stars. I was dancing from 5pm to 10pm haha. Dj Ty played hits after hits (from hiphop to r&b, to soca, and afrobeats)! There was a photographer who took pics of your group for $20 a photo.The only cons were the service from the waitress and the inflexible menu. The brunch menu listed chicken and waffles, as well as french toast with turkey bacon. I asked the curt waitress if I could have chicken and french toast instead. She immediately responded no, which I found shocking because every other brunch spot Ive been to have been accommodating. When I asked why not, she said the kitchen would not allow it. Long story short, I ended up getting chicken (wings) and waffles but regretted it. Food rating: 4/10.The service on the waitress part was subpar and my table had to often times go directly to Chris to get our drinks refilled or for him to send her over.Overall, I recommend Katra but strongly encourage the management to get better servers/ waitresses. When people receive great service, they come back and recommend the location to friends.

    Definitely a vibe!! This is my second time at Katra. This was our first time ordering food and it didn’t disappoint. We ordered the scallops, catfish nuggets , wings & fries. All the food was hot & didn’t taste frozen. The DJ is okay , I’m not a huge fan of reggae however and it was mostly that. There is a mandatory coat check, $5 which is fine as there wasn’t an entry fee. Our waitress was good and attentive. & the hookah was also good.

    Nice place. Atmosphere is great and I love that they have hookah as well. The DJ was great!! The only thing is that it is a little tight which is expected in many NYC locations and there arent many tables. The only reason I gave 4 stars and not 5 is because there was a very rude bartender who flat out told my friends and I that she was tired of giving us water after we spent over $200 in hookah and drinks and just wanted 2 cups of water. She was clearly miserable and hated her job. But I would definitely be back

    Amazing customer service!We walked into a gorgeous multi level area with excellent space management, and we had excellent customer service on Sunday afternoon. There was a small disagreement that was handled with an extremely high level of professionalism and I wouldnt hesitate to recommend it to others looking for a high-end establishment for after work relaxation.

    Only can give it a 4 star bc my company rented out the place for a holiday party so I cant comment on their regular night service. But the drinks were great, the appetizers were good. Had pescatarian and vegetarian options. Music was great. Moroccan atmosphere. VIP had throw pillows. Hookah was available to us.

    This place is absolutely amazing, with fantastic music. Parking in the city can be a bit tricky, but the bartenders here are incredibly friendly.Make sure to try the plantain and griot sandwich - its a definite must-try.

    Had a good time when I visited. It was Reggae vs. Hip Hop night..Im not a huge Hop Hop fan but I love Reggae music and they had all of the fan favorites playing. It was snowing though and we had to stand outside in line EVEN though we pre ordered our tickets...ugh I never want to do THAT again

    The atmosphere is great with a lounge feel. The DJ & Music kept us dancing all night mixing a blend of old school reggae, hip hop & R&B hits with some new joints. The food & drinks are EXCELLENT. Great place to go with your friends or after work.

    I love going to Katra after work on a Friday. 2for 1 drink special will have you feeling good and ready for bed at 10 Oclock.When it comes to food I always only get wings and fries. That always comes out good. The DJ has been the forever and plays a good mix of music for everyone.

    I had a great time because it was my birthday and I had great people with me but unfortunately I was drawn to this place by a party planner and when I got there it was very discombobulated then unorganized and nobody seemed to know who he was, the servers didnt know the party planner/event specialist, not the door man, not the bouncers, neither did the coat-check people know him.... but they made a way for me to get my table and my bottles it was a little bit small but otherwise I had a great time
