We found our second family, and they make incredible food to boot! My wife and daughter, having a gluten allergy, did a lot of research on places to eat before coming to NYC. Kesté soon hit the top of our most interested list when thinking of having pizza. After traveling across NYC and placing all our bets on this one pizza place, we waited to see if our diligent reading of reviews and looking at the menu would pay off.As we approached Kesté, a splash of daring red against the minimalist canvas—a sneak peek into the bold, boundary-pushing dining adventure ahead. Kevin was our server and did an excellent job. Always happy to serve with a big smile on his face, he was very attentive to our needs. When we looked over the menu to order, such relief came over my wifes and daughters faces when they realized the menu options for gluten-free. Not only that, they have a whole separate kitchen, so there is absolutely no cross-contamination. We were all struck to find out that the chef had already been creating a gluten-free menu 14 years ago, before it became a big problem. What insight! The food arrived, and it was a true test of taste—and it was out of this world! The presentation of the food and the taste brought smiles to their faces as we experienced a truly happy family memory that we would soon not forget.Thinking that food was the main objective for coming to the restaurant, we werent prepared for the side benefit of making friends with the entire staff at Kesté. All of them were wonderful people: Kevin, Eduardo, Yair, and the amazing chef, Roberto Caporuscio. Our experience wasnt just about nailing the right restaurant with gluten-free options; it was also about having a surprisingly delightful experience of joining the Kesté family. When your family enjoys all of NYC and one of the top NYC experiences was Kesté, that alone should be enough to make this a priority pick for you, too! This is a restaurant thats a must anytime we visit NYC. -

This is by far one of the best pizzas i’ve had in NYC in a while! We had keste pizza, which was so food we had to get another one. We also failed to take a pic of either of those 🤦🏻♀️We also had some dessert and it was excellent.Highly recommend this place. -

A large choice of absolutely delicious and authentic pizzas, and all of them can be made with the most amazing gluten-free crust Ive had. This was one of our favorite restaurants during our stay in NYC. We will definitely be back! -

I absolutely adore this restaurant! Their pizzas boast a distinct and authentic flavor that keeps me coming back for more. The secret ingredients they use truly elevate the taste to another level. The staff is incredibly friendly and attentive, making every visit a delight. Plus, the location couldnt be better. A must-visit spot for anyone craving delicious pizza in a welcoming atmosphere! -

Great little pizza shop right in the heart of downtown. Food was very good and service was incredibly fast. Seating available both inside and out. -
Review 8 (2024-06-20 - Rating: 5)
Best pizza ever!!!!! Being celiac it’s hard to find gluten free pizza that is amazing and one that you can’t really tell that it’s gluten free. I had read about this place and when I was in NYC went to check it out and it was delicious. I ate the entire pizza and then a tiramisu. All gluten free!!!! They had a dedicated gluten free kitchen. I loved it so much that on my last day, mere hours before my flight home I took the subway just to have it again.I definitely recommend to anyone wanting pizza in NYC and if you are celiac, it’s an absolute must as it’s sensational. -

Half of New York City and every tourist thinks Joes Pizza has the best pizza.... go to Keste Pizza and Vino. The best pizza in town and Ive already tried a few. Great gluten-free options and even I as a vegan enjoyed a great pizza with zucchini, fresh tomatoes and artichokes. Compliments! More than recommendable pizzeria - a must try! -
Review 10 (2024-05-21 - Rating: 5)
Is forever and will always be the best authentic pizza spot in nyc. Especially for gluten free people and service. Last time I was here they made a mistake with my order and reimbursed me with free food. Not common at all. Tiramisu is average but margarita pizza and the one with truffle is a dream. I try to buy extras to freeze 🥰 -

What a gem. Arrived 15 min before close and David and his team treated us like family. Did not make us feel rushed, took us on a tour of the pizza ovens just genuinely great people. My wife said “you can tell David is proud of where he works”. That says it all. The absolute best pizza , our party had gluten free and traditional pizza, they cook in separate ovens even to prevent cross contamination. Came back again today to get some to go for the airport ! We will be back this summer when we return to Manhattan they even offer classes. 10 starts Kesté ! -

This place is a must try ! The service is there !! We ordered and not even 10 minutes later our 2 pizzas arrived. They come often to ask is everything is ok and to refill our drinks. The staff is super nice and the restaurant is in calm place. 1000% go try this place if your love pizza !! -

Keste’s pizza is AWESOME - the regular and the gluten free. Best GF crust we’ve had - it’s more doughy than most. The Fulton St location is so friendly and helpful. Last night, 30 minutes before they closed, I accidentally ordered a pickup instead of delivery. when I didn’t show up, they called to make sure I was going to pick up, and when we realized the mistake, they still delivered it. It was such a nice thing to do when they were clearly closing and would want to go home!! Really appreciate you guys!! -

Good Neapolitan style pizza. I went by one night after walking by many times and wanting to try. Service was good. Prices are a little expensive, I feel. The dining room was nice, but the TV was running a video of the owner on a loop. That doesnt add to the atmosphere, I am sorry. -
Review 17 (2024-11-03 - Rating: 5)
Great Neapolitan vegan pizza! During weekdays they have it on their lunch menu, otherwise they only offer the full-size pizza. The dough is beautifully done and it comes with lots of veggies and a delicious sauce. Great atmosphere and a very reasonable price point. -
Review 18 (2024-05-04 - Rating: 5)
Wow, this place is incredible. Best gluten free pizza I have ever had, and I just recently went to Florence where I had gf pizza there too. This place is up there, if not better. Their kitchen is celiac safe, so definitely get some pizza here. -
Review 19 (2024-11-12 - Rating: 5)
My travel partner has to have gluten free and Kestés gluten free pizza crust was so delicious! The atmosphere and service was spot on. Water was filled in an appropriate time frame and our waiter was friendly and very professional. We got our pizza very quickly. We enjoyed our experience here and recommend it to others! -
Review 20 (2024-12-28 - Rating: 4)
Pizza was very tasty although on the thin side as far as pizza goes. We got arancini and it was very disappointing as it had no flavor. For dessert we got fried dough with Nutella and Gelato which was very rich and delicious. Had a very Italian vibe. -
Review 21 (2023-01-09 - Rating: 4)
Went here with very high expectations from all the lists this place shows up in. The place is fairly large but was surprisingly not packed. The wait staff was great and recommended a really good wine bottle. Now, onto the food. The menu is expansive and there were a lot of cool things on the menu that we wanted to try. Also, while they don’t substitute ingredients on their menu, the staff did a good job allowing us to remove the meat from the pistachio pesto pizza (under the guy fieri menu) which happened to be the best pizza we had.- 10/10 pistachio basil pizza without the meat - this pizza was highlight of the menu. While I’m not used to all these ingredients in my neopolitan pizza, this pizza changed my views. Highly recommend!- 5/10 margherita pizza - having eaten at so many great neopolitan pizzas in nyc, I’m definitely spoilt and unfortunately from the crust to the sauce to the proportions, this pizza did not impress. 1 additional point deducted for not allowing us to add garlic to the pie.- 5/10 buratta pizza - this pizza had a lot of good going on for it but felt that it could’ve either benefited from some herb or garlic as it felt too one-dimensional- 5/10 the basil cream lasagna. While the flavors were on point, the lasagna did not have any/enough lasagna sheets to give the lasagna structure and texture. I’d prop this to a 8/10 if it had the lasagna sheetAs for desserts, neither are worth raving about but I would pick the panna cotta over the tiramisu and the fried one. -
Review 22 (2023-10-19 - Rating: 5)
This is my favorite pizza place ever. Dedicated gluten free oven. Very gluten free friendly. Even the salads can come with gluten free bread. BEST GLUTEN FREE PUZZA YOU WILL EVER HAVE. I recommend the montenara Sabrina or pistachio pesto pizza, but all over them are excellent. Salads are great. Staff is excellent, friendly, and very accommodating. -
Review 23 (2024-03-17 - Rating: 5)
This restaurant serves the best gluten-free pizza Ive ever tasted! My wife and kids loved the regular pizzas as well! -
Review 24 (2024-01-01 - Rating: 4)
This is the fastest place Ive been served in NYC! Seriously, ordered beer and a pizza margarita, it took no longer than 10-12 minutes to be on the table already. As far for the flavor of the pizza, they have nice sauce, but they dont have quality dough and baking the pizza also requires more technique since some of the pizza dough came almost raw.Great value for money, very fast service and quick dine in. -
Review 25 (2024-08-18 - Rating: 5)
I really enjoyed the margarita pizza. I’m pizza close to everyday and have most of my life. I cook my own including dough, etc. knowing pizza well, I really enjoyed this place. A great size and taste for a fair price. Also a great environment and the service was great. I highly recommend -
Review 26 (2018-03-27 - Rating: 5)
Very good Italian specialties in a very large space: pizzas are terrific! Great lunch menu! They have 10 pizza ovens, a cooking school in the rear and ample area for private events. The wine list is also a plus and the bar has a nice atmosphere. Friendly and welcoming staff makes the restaurant warm and inviting. I highly recommend visiting for the pizza! -
Review 27 (2024-07-14 - Rating: 5)
One of our favorite pizza restaurants in the city. Offers Neapolitan style pizzas and a variety of other styles/flavors (fried pizza too!). My favourite is the pistachio and pesto pizza (asked to remove the sausage). The salads weve had were great too (fennel one and the artichoke one, refreshing and a sizable portion. Efficient service. Highly recommend. -
Review 28 (2019-12-20 - Rating: 5)
One of our favorite NYC restaurants! Has the best gluten free pizza ever! Actually better tasting than the regular crust! We come off peak times do we don’t have to wait for a table as this place can get BUSY! Prompt and friendly service! Always a treat! -
Review 29 (2023-07-08 - Rating: 5)
I had an incredible dinner experience at Kesté Pizza e Vino yesterday. The vegetarian pizza I ordered had a perfectly balanced crispy thin yet chewy crust and delicious quality toppings. The service was top-notch, making the evening even more enjoyable. The restaurant offers both indoor and outdoor seating options, and I opted for the outdoor dining, which was delightful. As a first-time visitor to New York City, it was a fantastic way to begin my journey. I highly recommend Kesté for anyone craving a delicious whole pizza in Downtown New York City. -
Review 30 (2023-01-31 - Rating: 5)
Great atmosphere and authentic Italian pizza topped with scrumptious ingredients. Love the fact that the heat from the pizza ovens help keep the place nice and toasty inside - Although you do leave with all your clothing smelling of pizza at the end of the evening 😁 Service was friendly and efficient and the prices will suit the budget-conscious foodie. -

Great place to “stumble” onto while walking towards the access point to walk across the Brooklyn Bridge. Our server Selena B was very friendly and accommodating as were the rest of the staff. Yes you can Eat low carb here, yummy meatballs and a delicious artichoke & mint (just a hint) salad. My companion had the pizza which, I was told, was delicious. Watch out for the spicy olive oil…. It was delicious. Very fair prices. -

They have a beautiful selection of unique pizza toppings. I had the homemade burrata and truffle pizza. It was gluten-free. It was delicious. I also had the gluten-free tiramisu. It was amazing. The service was fantastic. I loved everything about it. -

Had a big selection of different pies they have meat and cheeses. Will come back soon. When Im in the west village definitely a spot to bring people and friends over -
Review 35 (2023-09-13 - Rating: 5)
Great spot! They have separate areas for their gluten free items, including several pizza options! As a celiac it’s hard to find gluten free pizza without cross contamination but this place gets it. The meatball was also GF! -
Review 36 (2017-11-21 - Rating: 5)
Great Neopolitan-style pizza with a crust thats just perfectly crunchy and chewy, topped with quality ingredients. The pear and walnut salad we ordered was simple and refreshing as well. Service was excellent, and the food came out quickly. The ambiance is nice and casual, and it certainly helped that we got in right as the restaurant opened to avoid long lines. -

The daughter of thle owner is am amazing pizza maker. They have all kinds of varieties and gluten free options. The place is l classic in terms of pizza and fun in terms of life. Live, love and eat pizza. -

This amazing pizza place is about 6-7 mins walk from the WTC and a 10 mins walk from the end of the Brooklyn Bridge walkway. This is one of the better pizza crusts Ive had in my lifetime. We had the Veggie Pizza and the Montanara Truffle Pizza. The Montanara Pizza is their signature pizza and the pizza crush was fried so that was a surprise and have a unique flavor to the dish. Will definitely revisit this place very soon. -
Review 40 (2024-08-27 - Rating: 5)
Correct and pleasant welcome. Family and cozy atmosphere. Dining room a little dark. The Kesté pizza is very good, the 4 cheese pizza is also very good and the prosciuto pizza is also very good. But the best was the angioletti with Nutella and vanilla ice cream. Spectacular. The espresso is also good. The price is very correct for such a tourist area. -
Review 41 (2023-09-14 - Rating: 5)
Delicious pizza! So many pizza options and gluten free options as well. I got the Montanara which was so light and amazing. Nice ambience, great service. Definitely a place you’d want to return to! -

While some choose to complain about indoor dinning being closed due to the spike in cases I chose to sit on their outdoor dinning area which is equipped with heaters. I kept my coat on but unbuttoned it to be more comfortable. This place is a gem. Specially for those who are gluten sensitive or celiac. I had not been able to eat Tiramisu in more than 4 years and this place broke that curse by having one that I was surprised it was gf. Pizza was also a I cant believe is gf momment. Everything was tasty from the arugula and angioletti to the Tiramisu. They have a lunch menu special which is the one me and my friend had, portions were satisfactory. Please support your local restaurants by eating outdoors or take out direct from the restaurants to avoid 3rd parties charging fees and such. Helen our waitress was also the BEST!!! Lets shower the restaurants industry with love! -
Review 43 (2019-04-21 - Rating: 5)
First time trying Keste`, we loved it. We ordered a $5 Margherita pizza. It was perfect. The dough was light, well seasoned, and you could taste the fresh basil, tomatoes, and mozzarella. We would get it again any day of the week. The staff is super nice also. We look forward to trying more menu items and different pizzas the next time we come. -
Review 44 (2019-09-02 - Rating: 5)
4.5 stars, but Im feeling generous. :) Came here on a Sunday afternoon. Recently went gluten and dairy free, so Ive been jonesing for a slice of pizza for the past couple of months. This place is very careful to avoid cross-contamination, which is great news for my friends with celiac. The staff was nice and attentive. We ordered the gluten-free angioletti appetizer, a gluten-free marinara pie for me, and a normal marguerita for my mom. When the angiolettei came out and I sunk my teeth into the breadstick, I could not believe it was gluten-free! So fluffy and flavorful. The tomatoes and arugula were good as well, though the garlic was pretty strong in this dish. When the pies came out, our server accidentally brought me a gluten-free marguerita instead of the marinara, but the problem was quickly rectified. When I got my pie, it looked great--nice char on the thin crust. Anybody who has toasted anything gluten-free knows how difficult it is to get char, but the ovens here get the job done! The pizza tasted perfect--the tomato sauce, garlic, olive oil, and basil all played nicely with each other, and I didnt feel like there was too much of anything on the pie. The texture had a nice, soft crunch to it, but just the right amount of pillowyness that it wasnt akin to flatbread. My mom thoroughly enjoyed her normal marguerita pie as well! The price is about right for the food--$5 for a normal pie and gluten-free costs $4 more, but the ingredients are high quality and the portion size is generous. I was only able to eat half the pie at the restaurant, and I think this is a great place to come and split a pie with a friend. If you find the trek to Fulton a bit arduous, there is another location on Bleecker. If that is also too far for you, then I have some good news: right now, Keste is considering making a line of frozen pizzas that can be sold in stores. Nothing is finalized yet, but that would be pretty amazing! If youre zealous for their gluten-free dough, you can call them up and ask them to send it to you, but you will have to pay for shipping and handling.Anyway, Im very grateful I discovered this place online, and I look forward to returning someday. :) -
Review 45 (2018-10-06 - Rating: 5)
Outstanding Neapolitan style pizza made to order. Chef Roberto offers not only the traditional certified Neapolitan pie, he also offers a variety of deliciously creative alternatives. Signature pies can come with truffles, spicy Calabrian red peppers, eggplant, vegetables and so much more. The restaurant can accommodate small parties of up to 8 in the front. Larger parties will most likely be moved to the sides or rear. The back of the restaurant doubles as a pizza oven showroom and professional pizza training school. My most recent trip serendipitously landed me at Keste as they were having the NY Pizza week launch. The place was packed with the best pizzaioli from Italy and beyond. Needless to say, the pizza and variations were amazingly good. -

Excellent Pizza. Arguably one of the best Neapolitan Pizzas I’ve ever experienced. What’s even better than their food is the excellent service. This place is a must try. -

Review 49 (2024-05-22 - Rating: 5)
The best gluten free pizza I’ve ever had, in fact I was about to call them to see if they mistakenly sent me regular pizza then looked at the reviews and saw I was not alone. Also the pizza box has a gluten free sticker. Super fast delivery and great service. The first time I’ve actually enjoyed eating pizza in a long time! If you’re GF you know the dough usually tastes like cardboard. Not here , dough was soft, chewy, flavorful! Thank you. -

I finally had the chance to try kesté after talking about it for years. it has a super extensive menu with a wide variety of pizzas to choose from. for four people, we chose three pizzas (there was probably almost a full pizza still left over but we wanted to try all these flavors):1. pistacchio & salsiccia ($23.30) [fresh pistachio pesto, sausage, fresh mozzarella, pecorino romano, basil, extra virgin olive oil] - this one came recommended by a friend, and it was excellent. i’m a huge pistachio fan, and the flavors of this one came together really well. the chewiness of the dough was also perfect. if it weren’t for the fact that there were so many other options to try, this one would probably be one that i’d get again.2. montanara sabrina ($27.45) [lightly fried pizza truffle cream base, homemade four cheeses - imported buffalo mozzarella, gran cru pecorino, caciocavallo ragusano, parmigiano reggiano, Belgioioso crescenza - basil, extra virgin olive oil, imported salame golfetta, fresh shaved truffle from Urbani] - certainly can’t go wrong with an option that includes fresh shaved truffle. oh, how i wish there were more shaved truffle on this pizza, but it was still really good. the lightly fried pizza base was something that i hadn’t tried before, but it added a wonderful touch to the pizza. the dough almost reminded me a little of a chinese donut (油条) and made it extra good. highly recommend!3. kesté ($26.40) [tomato sauce, imported buffalo mozzarella, prosciutto di Parma, arugula, pecorino, basil, extra virgin olive oil] - we decided on this one since it was the namesake pizza and i love the combination of mozzarella, prosciutto, and arugula. while this pizza was still good, the other two simply outshined this one. also realized that i don’t love pecorino, and the aftertaste of it distracted me from the other flavors. again, not bad but just not as great as the other two we chose!i’m really happy we finally visited and will definitely be back to work my way through the menu! the restaurant staff were also so friendly, and the space is great for groups! they also have pizza making classes which look so fun! -

What a delightful surprise! Gluten free Italian style pizza not tasting gluten free and with vegan option, please sign me in! Nice casual atmosphere with attentive service (David was amazing!), good wine options by half glass (why not everyone offers that?!) and by glass. My friends ordered arancini and it seems good too (time to include vegan appetizers not from the salad list). Definitely one of my new fave places in downtown for comfort and great food -
Review 52 (2022-04-14 - Rating: 5)
10/10 highly recommended! If you are looking for a really good neapolitan pizza, stop here. Hands down one of the best in NY. Even the (simple) Margherita pizza is so delicious. Overall nice and fast service with great recommendations. The size of the portions is not extraordinary big, but really good though.Take the Nutella pizza as a dessert to share 🤤 -
Review 53 (2024-01-30 - Rating: 5)
SO good. 😭 We walked in on a Monday night around 6:30 and were able to be seated immediately! So many gluten, dairy and soy free options. Over the phone they told us they only use olive oil. This gluten crust was the best I have ever had since having to remove gluten from my diet. The Marinara Keste pizza (GF) was incredible and my husband loved his fried calzone. Servers were so friendly and attentive, acknowledging all of my dishes as gluten free before handing them off to me. We will be dreaming about this place. -

Great, local pizza place. In an area filled with corporate-y, upscale restaurants that are $50-$100+/person and then fast casual restaurants, Keste is one of the few places around that’s more of a local, comfortable place to grab a meal with friends or family -
Review 55 (2023-11-09 - Rating: 5)
The pizza at Kesté is simply amazing. It’s one of our go-to spots in NYC. I highly recommend the Pistacchio & Salsiccia or Sabrina -
Review 56 (2024-08-18 - Rating: 5)
The best around for gf people who want to dine out with their families without anyone being deprived. Almost everything on the menu can be made gluten free. We love the pizzas and even the non gf people choose to eat it gf instead of regular. We also love the salad pizza appetizer. There are so many options for pizza, appetizers and desserts, but my about favorite is the calzone. Very different from a traditional calzone but to die for. -

Yuuummmmmmyyyy! My gosh what good pizza! And amazing service. The employees were working so hard and were quick with everything. Our entire experience at this place was great. We ordered the margarita pizza to share and got it extra crispy!!! This is a must, the flavors pop in all the right ways. The sauce is fresh and refreshingly the crust was crunchy and bouncy. We came back another time and got the same experience as the first. This place is great and consistent! Must try -

Amazing gluten free pizza. Safe for our celiac eater. Best GF pizza we’ve had in the US and may be as good as the GF pizza in Florence, Italy. We had the Kesté pizza, prosciutto and arugula. The Los Tres Hermanos, was also a fantastic drink. -

I just had the caprese as an appetizer and a margherita pizza with regular crust which was very good! What I liked most was the bread was cooked correct! The service was good and the atmosphere was very nice as well. I will definitely go back! 90 -

This is truly the finest gluten-free pizza Ive ever tasted (specifically the one with prosciutto shown in the picture)! The crust was so fresh and resembled a regular pizza so closely that I had to confirm with the staff that it was indeed gluten-free. The service was excellent, with friendly and attentive staff. The restaurant itself is beautiful and is a must-visit for anyone with celiac disease visiting NY. The only downside was the high price, but the food quality made it worth it. -

First off, the wait staff here was stellar. The waiter practically read my mind all night—wish I got his name to give proper credit but I was very hungry and anxious because of all the hype. It 100% lived up to it; everything was great. Both the Diavola and the Keste pizzas were fantastic. The combination between the sauce, smoke, cheese and perfect crust made me want to dance through the streets of Manhattan. Then came the fried pizza... if I had to live off one thing forever this comes really really close. When I bit into this, it was as if Andrea Bocelli was singing to me and my girlfriend table side—yes it brought me that much joy. If you haven’t already guessed, I highly recommend coming here. One more thing worth mentioning—the master pizzaiolo himself, Roberto Caporusico came out and was talking to the table next to us. It was my first time here so not sure if it’s a regular occurrence but I thought that was really awesome. Yes I will be back. Yes I will tell my family, friends, co-workers and most likely strangers I meet along the way to come here. -

Great food and service. He (manager most likely?) made me a gluten-free calzone that was so big I had enough to share it with my friends. He refused to take even a small tip until I eventually got him to just take a dollar, even after I was a few cents short on the initial bill. Overall very friendly staff and tasty food. I was comfortable with their level of understanding of my gluten-free diet (celiac) and ate the food with no problems. -

I consider myself a pizza snob or afficiando and thought I knew good pizza but in fact I was clueless until I had lunch at Keste. We had a Sabrina pizza and I do not lie when I say it was the best pizza Ive ever had in my whole life. The drinks were amazing too. -
Review 74 (2023-03-19 - Rating: 5)
We kept seeing this place written in many articles like Tim Out, AM New York, Serect NYC, and many more. This was a sign for us to go and try their pizzas. Our taste buds were so hapy we did. We ordered 3 Pizzas that was mentioned in the articles. The Del Re Pizza which has truffle cream, fresh mozzarella, assorted mushrooms, prosciutto di Parma, basil, extra virgin olive oil. The Burratta Roberto made with home-made burrata, grape tomatoes, basil, extra virgin olive oil. Also the Macellaio with tomato sauce, fresh mozzarella, sausage, porchetta, Crespone salami, prosciutto di Parma, basil, extra virgin olive oil. Each and every pie was so good but we have to give it to the Burratta Roberto Pizza as our number 1 spot! First of all, the homemade burrata cheese was out of this world! Creamy, smooth and decadent, it just melted in my mouth with each and every bite. The combination of the burrata with the juicy and sweet grape tomatoes made for a perfectly balanced. -

Went for: low key date night for pizza and wine.Vibes: standard west village non upscale restaurant. Mixed bag of ages, mostly everyone enjoying a night out. Music was low or non existent (would be a nice addition)Food: really great pizza!Pear Salad - super refreshing and light enough to prep for pizza. Felt good to get some greens in.Caress - I think tomatoes are a unique singular item of food that speaks to the restaurant’s quality of ingredients. The tomatoes were delicious.Keste Tomato pizza - their classic. Was great, but would order something else next time. The overpowering tastes of arugula, prosciutto and buffala mozzerala was a bit much.Truffle Speciality Pizza - must order. Everything blended well together. Why 4 and not 5: Keste find itself between a low key pizza restaurant to come in for a quick bite with some friends and a legitimate restaurant that brings any type of group in for fantastic food. I sense the lack of identity as a missed opportunity. Keste can either play up the causal element and add more beer/alcohol options and a TV OR play up the West Village vibe with local hip-hop, dinner lights, and nicer silverware, etc.I’ll definitely go back. -

So great to see Keste expand. Been going to the one on Bleecker Street since 2009, so when I heard about this establishment, I had to try it. The pizza is every bit as good, the wine is on point and the service is incredible. Be prepared to spend, but its worth the price and then some! For those who are more adventurous with their pizzas, I recommend the Marinara Pizza. As you can see, it has no cheese; the first time I had one of these nine years ago, I started getting most of my pizzas from other establishments without the cheese! The bar area is nice too and is a fun way to enjoy tasty food and a fine cocktail! -

Just want to preface by saying that (1) I rarely take the time to write reviews on here, and (2) I was born and raised in Italy and the only time I would rave about pizza was when I was back in Italy visiting my family......until I found Kesté.This is the closest thing to Italian pizza I have ever come across living in NYC, and (as you can tell by the pictures) its become a bit of a problem :)From dining in, to delivery, to pick-up, my girlfriend and I -- and every friend I have brought here since finding it -- cannot get enough of this incredible little pizzeria. A big thank you to all of the chefs and pizzaioli for giving me a little slice of my hometown every time Im craving pizza....which is at least 2-3x per week now.HIGHLY RECOMMENDED! YOU WILL NOT BE DISAPPOINTED!!!Grazie mille, KESTÉ! -

Absolute gem of a place in FiDi!We’ve lived downtown for years and had this place saved, but hadn’t managed to check it out until today. Wow! What a find.Pizzas are fantastic — with real Italian dough, high quality toppings, and perfectly baked. The service is friendly, attentive, super quick. And it felt authentic, unlike some of the stuffier alternatives. And the value is just incredible. Pizzas are $10-12 in their lunch menu (11am to 3pm weekdays), which is just about the best value you will find in any lunch in Fidi, given the high quality pizzas. We are now fans and will come back! -

Kesté is by far my favorite neopolitan pizza in NYC, hands down. This quaint restaurant serves up some of the best pizzas I have ever had. There is always a little wait. So, I suggest that you arrive before you get famished.I highly recommend the classic Margharita pizza. The ingredients are incredibly simple, extremely fresh, and unbelievably flavourful. Thats the thing I always have when I go to Kesté.The staff are very polite and some of then communicate with each other in Italian. Food is served quickly even on busy nights. This is one place you need to visit if you are a pizza lover. -

Im gonna start by saying that last year I had neopolitan pizza for the first time in Naples, and Ive been chasing that high ever since. This came really damn close. The crust was blistered but still had that chewy goodness you get with a high gluten dough, the sauce was simple and the mozzarella (which they make there, btw) was so soft and delicate. My fiance and I split the keste pizza which had arugula and thinly sliced proscuitto. If youre looking for something simple go for the marinara with anchovies and olives you wont be disappointed. The staff was super friendly and the service was very quick. Will definitely be back. Thank you for the great pizza guys ♡ -

Could not have had a better dining experience! Dropped in with a group of 8 for lunch on Sunday and ate like kings. Roberto walked us through the charcuterie which barely had time to register on the pallet enough to do it justice. The motz and prosciutto was gone just as quick. The MACELLAIO is unmatched in my pizza book! -

The pizzas were great. I love that they have the 8” pizza option which is pretty filling for a single person. Menu is huge so lots of things to choose from. What I didn’t like was that they won’t customize your pizza which is kind of ok given the amount of available options.Highly recommend this place. -

Stopped in here unexpectedly and was not disappointed. The service was great and the atmosphere was very welcoming. We arrived with no reservation at around 7:30 and although it was packed, we were seated within 10 minutes. The menu had many great options but we chose the vegetariano pizza and some pellegrino. The pizza was fantastic! The veggies were cooked to perfection and the portion size was pretty good to share for two. Definitely worth a second visit! -

Kesté Pizza e Vino has become my favorite spot, the perfect balance between quality and price.Their pizzas are very good, with my go-to being the Calzone with mushrooms - a choice I make without fail every time I visit. The Martadella with pistachios is also a standout, and you can never go wrong with the classic Kesté pizza. The service is fast and friendly, and you can tell they put love into everything they make.Plus, they offer gluten-free options for any of their pizzas, with a separate kitchen dedicated to it. Its a great touch for those who are gluten-sensitive.In terms of overall value, Kesté Pizza e Vino is a true gem among many New York pizza spots. Highly recommend.P.S. I didn’t make any good photos unfortunately, maybe next time. -

Having lunch at Kesté Pizza & Vino was an exceptional experience. The cozy, rustic ambiance with its wooden furniture and exposed brick walls made me feel right at home. The staff was incredibly friendly and attentive, making sure I had everything I needed and offering great recommendations. I ordered Vegetariana - an amazing blend of tomato sauce, fresh mozzarella, zucchini, eggplants, artichokes, assorted mushrooms, grape tomatoes, basil, extra virgin olive oil. I also enjoyed the lemon ice tea complementing the flavors. The entire experience was a wonderful journey to the heart of Naples, right in the middle of New York City. It is also a walkable distance from WTC. -

I dont even know what to say - Roberto is an actual culinary mastermind! The food and decor is so authentic, I felt like I was back in Italy. He taught us how to make homemade mozzarella, which was the culmination of my life, and 2 different kinds of pizza. One, that is fried and brought me back to when I was a kid - he makes it just like my grandma used to! The other was an amazing Napolitano style and we got to add all the toppings we wanted.Truly an incredible night and experience - HIGHLY RECOMMEND and cannot wait to send all my corporate events to them!Side Note: I am adding a picture of Roberto and I FaceTiming my mom who grew up on friend pizza - Roberto sent her favorite pizza home with me to give to her. Such a sweet thing to do, he is such an amazing person and I am so excited to work with this venue!! -

First time here at Keste and it was quite wonderful. Keste has become my favorite place to get a whole pie especially gluten free crust! This establishment would’ve been a full 5 stars instead of 4.6 because the mozzarella & prosciutto was definitely underwhelming and not much thought put into it with just literally three slices of meat and mozzarella wasn’t the best. What saved the restaurant was obviously the pizza and the pomodo was exquisite. A simple four ingredients made it like was in Italy and my taste buds was satisfied. The Diavola is just worth getting 🤤Overall, ambiance was casual and comfortable then service was very attentive. We will be back to get our favorite pizza. -

The best gluten free pizza crust I’ve ever had! I’m used to thin crust for gf, but this was very similar to non gf crust. Ordered the keste pizza, homemade burrata w/ gf focaccia, and artichoke salad. Everything we ordered was delicious. There was a mix up where they brought us the wrong dish from what we had ordered and had some issues with that. But they eventually brought us tiramisu on the house (which was also tasty), and corrected our bill. Would come back again for the gluten free pizza! -

David was our server, and he treated us like close friends and family. He was funny and very informative about the Menu and the Wine. We ordered 4 different pizzas, and all were delicious. Even my 10-year-old loved his pizza, who usually eats pepperoni and pineapple, which this is not that kind of pizza restaurant. Met the owner Roberto before we left, a very nice guy, and super appreciative for our business. Definitely recommend this place for anyone traveling to Manhattan. The restaurant is very nice for a date night or family outing. Wine and Cocktails were fantastic. -

Review 152 (2023-11-04 - Rating: 4)
I just emerged from an October No Pizza Challenge and had to get something legit upon my return. The area of the Financial District that I work in (further south and west) doesnt have great options, but this place was right on the edge of my geographic range for lunch and looked pretty legit/high end. Easy call.Fulton Street is not one of my favorites; its chaotic and busy for most of its length, especially closer to Broadway where all of your cheaper eating options are clustered together. Keste is on that weird block where the businesses are actually set back a little from the road, opposite/diagonal from the Turkish bath place, and despite oodles of scaffolding had a lot of signage that quickly directed me to the entrance without incident. As soon as I walked in, it was clear this was a popular restaurant. I eat lunch in FiDi all the time, but I think this is the busiest establishment Ive been to, which is saying something. I honestly dont know enough about this place to confirm if this is a combo of a decent spot for locals and tourists alike, but given that its less than two blocks from the Seaport area, I can make an educated guess. I also ended up sitting at the bar near two very obvious out-of-towners who tried to order off-menu, were rebuffed, and then saw my normalish pizza and asked for that. The aforementioned pizza was the Diavola (about $18 or $19), which is basically the bougie version of pepperoni pizza except the soppressata is a bit spicier. I was pretty hungry and ate the entire pie. All of the ingredients were pretty solid, though I wasnt crazy about the dough/crust. Based on the reviews, Im in the minority here but it was too chewy and didnt have a lot of give to it. It could have used a little bit more time in the oven to acquire some more crispness. Let me be clear - Neapolitan pizza is not standard, by the slice NY pizza. You usually have to eat the first few bites with a fork and knife, in my experience. But when you pick it up and over half the slice has already been consumed? It shouldnt still be flopping at that point. Again, other reviewers seem thrilled by the texture/consistency of the dough, but I wasnt one of them. The soppressata was the star for me; the meat was slightly charred and very flavorful. The service was very good. When I dine solo I rarely have an objection to securing a spot at the bar, especially at lunchtime - the facetime with the bartender will usually guarantee quick turnaround times and consistent communication. That certainly happened here. I also grabbed a glass of Pinot Grigio ($12), which was a little dry for my taste and I thought the pour was a little weenie but I didnt regret the purchase. The total bill with tip came to just under $40 - a LITTLE pricey for this area but not by much. And because this pizza is practically made instantaneously, I was in and out relatively quickly.Would definitely come back, though I might strategically schedule the visit for an off-time to avoid the hordes of people. -

Very good crust on the pizza. Very well put together. Sicilian co-worker claims its the best pizza in NY. Prices reflect his claim. -

As a person with Celiac disease pizza is very difficult to eat safely. Not only are they familiar with people who have celiac or gluten intolerance, they provide details on how they make food safely. Gluten free pizza is made in a separate area to avoid cross contamination. Great spot to grab a slice of pizza and take a short walk sit by the Brooklyn Bridge while you eat. 10/10 recommend. -

I came for the gluten free pizza and it was the best I have ever had. Not just a good gluten free pizza, but a good pizza. It was soft, airy and flavourful. Not stodgy and bland. I was served by the wonderful Eisy (F) who was so accommodating and lovely. 10/10 service which made the experience. Thank you!!!! -

First time here. We had the margarita, burrata, keste, margarita with sausage, and montanara (2). All were good, one montanara was the standout, but the 2 pies were very different on flavor with one having heavy smoke , the other none . We preferred the none. Least favorite was the keste, too much arugula and hard to eat. The crust on the non fried pies was a little floppy for my taste, not awful, but I look for a little more structure. The service was spot on, as was the ambience. A solid 7.5 of 10. Not the best, but miles from the worst or even average. -

Much quicker than I expected, and the pizza was great. Although I am not gluten-free, they have a tremendous gluten-free menu which my companion appreciated. -

The food choices and the quality thereof is fantastic. The gluten-free options also are incredible. I do, however, offer a cautionary tale about the gluten-free calzones. They are ridiculously greasy and extremely heavy. The extreme greasiness of the fried dough overwhelms the flavor from any cheese or salami inside the calzone. Unless you enjoy something that is literally dripping in grease, I would stay away from that. All of the pizza here, including the gluten-free pizza, are absolutely spectacular. I gave the atmosphere four stars only because all of the seating is hardwood. Seat cushions would be nice. -

Nice place . The service was good and very fast. I think it was a bit overpriced. The tomato sauce was to much light than it should be. Also the pizza could be cooked little more. Taste ok maybe for 4 cheeses I ll prefer more blue cheese and have been better. 1lt bottled water 9$ mmmm a bit too much especially when u Don t have chance to choose a 1/2 litter . All in all ok -

I’ve been here many times and they have amazing pizza. Seriously some of the best in the city and certainly the best in this part of town. It’s run by a family from Italy and they make don’t mess around with their pizza! Ingredients are home made and also imported from Italy. Salads are also great. Prices are very fair. Their gluten free crust is awesome, as well. They have a teaching kitchen in the back that chefs from around the world come to NYC to be trained in. A+! -

Life-changing pizza. 🍕Im so serious. My husband has Celiac Disease, so he can have no gluten even through cross contamination. Gluten-free pizzas are notoriously dry, brittle, thin, and just unimpressive and sad, and its been years since my husband has found one enough like actual pizza to satiate his cravings for something as simple for most people as Papa Johns. When planning our New York trip, I came across this place, and I knew from photos of the GF pizzas that we had to go.I am so glad we went! The environment of the restaurant is incredible and feels SO relaxed. All the servers seem to work in tandem and I rarely saw anyone who didnt look at ease or completely happy to be working there - which is amazing, especially at about 9pm! Emilio was our waiter, and he was so wonderful! Energetic and kind, answered every question we had, and knew immediately what to do when my husband mentioned Celiac Disease, because he has it too. He told us, This is your second home. And while we are from several states away down in Georgia, he was right! We feel connected to this place. We had pizza at three different places on our NYC trip - Don Antonio, Carnegie Pizza, and Kesté. They were all good, but Kesté was the absolute clear winner for us, with Don Antonio being a good second thats closer if youre uptown. Carnegie was pretty good, but not at all on their level.Ohhh, Kestés food. 🤤 The appetizer and the dessert were incredible, but the pizza was the showstopper. My goodness, it was absolutely unreal. The crust was soft, fluffy, buttery, and tasty in every way. They use an imported flour from Italy which has wheat (be aware, if you have a wheat allergy!🌾) but is gluten-removed and safe even for Celiacs. I think that makes a huge difference in the crust! This is Neapolitan pizza of course, and very different and more upscale than the more Americanized pizzas from places like Dominos or Papa Johns, but if youre gluten free and missing pizza, it will more than scratch that itch for you. Plus, if I hadnt looked at the regular, gluten-containing pizza at the next table over, it wouldve been hard for me to believe it was gluten-free, because it just looked and tasted so much like classic pizza crust. My husband ordered a calzone (something almost nobody even attempts in the gluten-free world), and he literally cried while eating it because it was so incredible. It was SUCH good food and good service that the next day, we ordered pizza from there for lunch and had it delivered. Then, a few weeks after we got home, we ordered the same pizzas to our home - all the way in Georgia. They arrived perfectly packaged and preserved in dry ice, and everything was so tasty. We will be doing that again.I truly cannot recommend this place, Emilio, and their amazing, literally life-changing food enough! If you have Celiac, this is a haven for you! Im also sure theyd be able to help with any other dietary restrictions if you asked, because they were so incredibly kind and helpful. Go in person if you can, for that homey feeling of warmth. If you cant make it all the way here, order it on their website and have deliciousness delivered to your door. Trust me! -

This place serves first rate pizza. I used to live at 15 Cliff and would have to go all the way to the West Village to get a Keste pizza. So, of course I was in heaven when they opened one across the street. The West Village location has closed but I thought this was the better one anyway (right across the street after all). Come down and get some really good pizza.Back again, how do I keep ending up in New York? Of course I went to Keste for some pizza while I was downtown. I just never remember how really great this pizza is! -

I have been here a few times and I love their food. I have celiac and I love that they have so many gluten free options. Their gluten free pizza has one of the best gluten free crusts that I have had. They also have gluten free dessert options. My husband and I tried Nutella covered fried dough with a scoop of vanilla ice-cream. It was delish.
